Jinx finds the great outdoors deeply unsettling because absolutely everything is unfamiliar - smells, sounds, textures, geography - and there's nowhere recognizable for her to hide and skulk and sneak and do Jinx things.

Riding horses freaks her out because there's social etiquette and rules and stuff about how that's supposed to work, but an animal doesn't give predictable responses like a machine does and she doesn't know how to 'make it work'.

Riding unusual animals like, say, a rhinoceros, a giant beetle, or a dragon, though, Jinx would be totally down, because she's just gonna jump on the thing, cackling, hold on and see what happens. Totally different!

Lux loves travel, journeys and the road. She loves camping, hiking, telling stories around the fire, riding her horse, bathing in streams and campfire cooking.

Traveling with her brother and his regiment and training for battle with Kahina are some of her best memories and some of the few times in her life when she almost felt free of the stifling world she was raised into.

She's good at all the courtly manners and social etiquette because she's had to be but she's masking hard the whole time and would rather be anywhere else. Especially a library, an old ruin, or a village market.

She feels much more comfortable 'among the commonfolk' because that's where she feels Demacia's real heart and community. It's something she yearns to be a part of, is cut off from by her privilege and social status, and finally finds, eventually, in Terbisia.

Lightcannon's a ship as old as Jinx herself, so there's a lot of reasons people ship it, but the biggest one that hooked me was the eerie parallels between Lux's story (as of the "Lux" comic) and Jinx's (as of Arcane).

They are opposite-but-the-same in so many ways that compliment, it's a little nuts. Girl struggling with identity and inner power, overprotective older sibling, dark mentor with revolutionary ideals who betrayed their trust, accidentally burned their own lives down, inadvertently triggered a revolution...I could be talking about either of them or both. They form a surprisingly complementary yin/yang and support each other's stories (and further adventures) in ways I can't easily explain. If anyone's curious about how it might work, it's basically all I write these days.

What are your thoughts on lightcannon since you are a timebomb shipper and most timebomb shippers don't like that.

When I used to play League (unfortunately) I never really engaged with fandom culture in general—so I wasn't around for when people started to take an interest in shipping Jinx with Lux. But I distinctly remember occasionally seeing fanart of them and going "huh, that's cute"

That's basically been the extent of interest in them ever since.

I don't dislike them, I think there is the potential to be a really cute dynamic there, but I would need to actually see them together and interact meaningfully before I can truly form an option on them that isn't just "it's cute I guess"

Also no offense anon, but I feel like generalizing everyone to just "your an X shipper so you must hate Y" is just not a good mentality to bring into fandom spaces.

And if your intention with this ask was to get a negative and hateful response about LC from me so you can use this to fuel a ship war, then by all means please never interact with my page again.

Ship wars in this fandom are already filled with stupid shit without people purposely fishing for drama.
