Emergency Commissions - Closed!!

Thank you everyone for the help! Commissions slots are all filled, tips are still always welcome. I will advise if any additional slots open up in the next few weeks.

So if you’ve been playing along at home, you may know that I returned from vacation this week to find that my central air conditioning unit died. Our house sustained some damage from the system overheating. Repairs/replacement are going to run in the five-figure range and they can’t wait, since July in my area of the world means brutal heat. 

So in the spirit of “well fuck me I guess,” I’ll be opening a limited number of emergency writing commissions slots, not to exceed eight depending on the scope of each work and the amount of interest I receive. 

Be advised that this is a one-time thing. I don’t intend to reopen commissions after this financial burden passes.

The Basics

I write for the LoZ and LU fandoms and will accept commissions for either in-universe writing or one of my own AUs (Townhouse AU, Count Darkula, the omegaverse series, etc.).

I will write crack, fluff, angst, spice, horror, murder, whatever. Choose your own adventure! 

If you’re interested in something sweet or spicy, I’ll write Linkshipping, Zelink, MidZel, GanLink, lesser-known characters, you name it I don’t care. I’m a multishipper at heart.

Characters can be cis, trans, unspecified, doesn’t matter to me.

I’m always happy to try on new spicy themes, even if it’s not something I’ve written before. This is a judgement-free zone, even if I end up saying “no thanks.” Seriously, just run it by me. I also have a handful of existing WIP options in the list below if you need any inspiration.

You get to choose whether this is a work to be published or if you’d rather keep it for your own private enjoyment. No price difference between the two options, I don’t care.

Not sure what you’d request? If you want, you can sponsor an active WIP. This is literally more bang for your buck, since I’m not going to charge you for the words I’ve already written. Once you snag a commission slot and leave your deposit, I can send you a sample of one or two works if you’re having a hard time choosing between options. Think of it like trying different flavors at an ice cream bar. An extensive list of my active WIPs appears in my pinned post. If sponsoring an active WIP for an ongoing series like HSH or LMTCOY, that work will be published.

Do you have an unfinished WIP of your own that you’d like to see finished but don’t have the time, energy, etc.? Throw it my way and we’ll see what we can do together! Once again, you are only charged for the words I put into the work in these cases, not the total word count. I will only be taking on up to two of these types of commissions.

The Nitty-Gritty

Pricing is 2 cents per word. I'm flexible with regards to word counts but I suggest the following tiers:

500 words - $10

1000 words - $20

2000 words - $40

2500 words - $50

A deposit will be required to lock in your commission slot on a first-come first-served basis. Deposits will vary based on the tier you select with any remaining balance due at delivery, if applicable. If I end up going over a bit and wrote 525 words for a 500-word slot, oh well, bank error in your favor.

Deadlines are TBD between myself and the commissioner depending on the scope of the work and the number of responses I get. Could be anywhere from a few weeks to a couple months. I don’t see myself letting commissions drag on past 3 months.

The Fine Print

You must be over the age of 18 to commission me.

Commissions are not to exceed 2500 words unless we negotiate otherwise. WIPs listed at larger word counts excluded from this rule.

If sponsoring an active WIP or work in an ongoing series, I may already have a plot and end goal for the story, so specific requests (e.g. ��I want Twark to break up.”) may not be honored. I can do a one-shot of such scenarios, though, even if they’re outside canon plans.

I will not write for someone else’s series (e.g. “Can you continue this story from [author] that’s been abandoned?”).

No original characters.

I reserve the right to decline any request for any reason.

It was a spring morning. Colors of all pastels could be seen across the mansion, even the third floor was covered in bight ribbons of purple, yellow, and blue.

Wild was about to leave for work–and Twilight would’ve gone with him if he wasn't under leave from the hospital. Twilight had, very stupidly, taken a nasty slash across his abdomen, and even though his eternal organs weren’t in critical condition, Time still forced him to stay home. When Twilight came home bloody, Time practically threatened to cuff him to his office chair just to keep an eye on him so, yeah, not happening.

Though, Wild was frantically late, however, as he pulled on his sweater and frantically put leftovers in the fridge. Scrambling to make his way out the door, Twilight put a hand on Wild’s shoulder, steadying him before he sprinted out. “Haven’t you forgotten something,” Twilight asked, taking in the way Wild’s eyes darted across his face in a frenzy of adrenaline. 

“Oh…” Wild seemed to contemplate something before turning back to Twilight and swiftly pressing a kiss on Twilight's cheek. 

Twilight stood stone still, eyes wide and face hot. “I meant this,” Twilight offered a hand to Wild, revealing Wild’s keys, awkwardly rubbing the back of his now hot neck.  The look on the cub's face was priceless. 

His eyes scattered across various emotions: shock, embarrassment, amusement, joy. But in the end, he simply pulled his head back and laughed, letting his laugh come out full and hearty. Then, he swiftly grabbed his keys and gave Twilight another peck on the cheek. “Thanks, man!” he said, practically giggling his way to the door, light on his feet. 

Twilight stood there rigged even as Wild left. Did that really just happen? 

It was hard to tell when you were balls deep in pain medication, but Twilight was pretty sure the rapid beating of his heart wasn’t just the medicine. 

Man, he was so fucked.

Quick before I forget again-

I redid Wind's room in the LU HSH Townhouse after getting High School Years!!! (old on the left, new on the right)

(Yes the ceiling is absurdly high)(yes that may not be the best choice of wallpaper)

I spiffied up his desk corner and cluttered up the rest of the room! This one was really really fun to do, especially once I got proper blackout curtains and didn't have to layer like six black-and-white curtains on top of each other. I'd like to think there's a bit more personality in the room now, but I am wondering if I should have kept the tall black lights to the left next to the desk. Makes the corner a bit more vibey.

Since you updated with them today, how about the HSH Downfall Duo in for the ask thing?

Thanks for the challenging ask! I haven’t done too much with either character in HSH just yet.

What I love about them: Hyrule is a sweet, hardworking cinnamon roll who went into medicine with high hopes and higher ideals. He’s somehow managed to cling to that positive attitude despite the grueling hours and the work itself. You see some bad shit in a day on an ER floor, and yet his optimism perseveres.

I honestly love that Legend doesn’t trust right away. He’s not impolite to strangers by any means, but his respect needs to be earned and is not freely given. Once you have earned his trust and friendship, though, you have a stubbornly loyal friend for life.

What I hate about them: I want to say, “I wish Hyrule would just lose it one of these days,” but then I remembered that he already did, in a small way. But my approach to writing HSH has always been “go big or go home.” Let’s let the cinnamon roll have one (1) murder, as a treat.

I hate that I haven’t used Legend more! Which isn’t his fault at all. I think that when some of my current WIPs wrap up, we’ll delve into Modern Witch Legend and his shady business with Ravio.

Favorite Moment/Quote: Hyrule’s “I’m the doctor now” moment in The Board Exam and Time’s response to him… That was a hard lesson that I had to learn myself. Being a good doctor doesn’t mean that every patient will live, and losing a patient doesn’t make you a bad doctor. I really owe my own internship mentor, who is very dear to my heart, for helping me realize that.

My favorite Legend moment so far comes from Sugar and Spice (no babies were harmed in the making of this fic):

As soon as the door closed, the entire kitchen froze. They listened to Time’s footsteps fading down the sidewalk before the garage door rolled open. It wasn’t until Epona roared to life that they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

“Well, that was nearly a disaster,” Legend huffed, reaching down to lift their troublesome little bundle off of the floor.

As he hefted her up, there was an audible thump that jostled the kitchen table before the baby began to wail.

“Legend!!”

What I would like to see more focus on: I’d like to spend a day in Hyrule’s work life one of these drabbles.

For Legend, as I mentioned above, there is a bit of a story behind his business with Ravio and I just have to figure out the most dramatique way to make it interesting to read about.

What I would like to see less focus on: I should really flesh Hyrule out a little more than “med student,” although if you’ve ever gone to med/vet school you know that during your training you don’t have much of a personality outside of “med student.”

This one stumps me for Legend! Perhaps showing less Snark and more Soft would be beneficial.

Favorite pairing with: Trick question! 😆

Favorite friendship: Okay so I’m clearly biased as fuck, but their respective relationships with Time are probably my favorite friendships. Time goes out of his way to make sure the two of them know that they are cared about in the townhouse — helping Legend come to terms with a part of his past, sharing some of his private space in the house with Hyrule exclusively — and in turn they both have a strong bond with him as well. Even when things begin falling apart in The Brave, these two are more than likely going to stick by his side.

NOTP: Hyrule is so kind and sweet that I think he could get along with just about anyone. Warriors/Legend is not a compelling ship to me, too much friction with not very much payoff.

Favorite headcanon: After leaving Koholint together, Hyrule invited Legend to come and stay with him, “At least until you get back on your feet.” Legend would have liked to refuse, but he had no other options at the time. He realized how poorly Hyrule was taking care of himself since he was so freakin’ busy with school, and he started automatically doing things like washing his laundry or making dinner for both of them. It wasn’t until Hyrule came home one night and was all quiet and blushy over dinner that Legend realized how his actions could have been interpreted. And even if it wasn’t his original intention, he didn’t really want to “correct” Hyrule.

sooo I remember there was talk of Legend being able to see ghosts in HSH wayyy back when on the discord.. is this canon or fanon? :3 also, I am looking at that mention of there being three Knights at the Townhouse....... can’t wait to see where that goes hehe :333

Outside of his backstory in HSHftH, I haven’t gotten much into what Legend’s life is like outside of HSH shenanigans! He and his ‘business partner’ Ravio run a rather lucrative online shop dealing in oddities and items of the occult: candles, crystals, herbs, bones, etc. As such, he engages on occult practices because he is insistent on the authenticity of the items they sell, charging items with intentions or performing small rituals before sending things on their way. Ravio is just in it for the money. There are certain items Ravio doesn’t even want to touch when Legend’s finished working with them.

Can Legend see ghosts? Is he a bit of an empath? Is it all just part of their business model? I’ll leave that up to the reader, but I will say that the boys are pretty convinced...

“Sword’s haunted.”

Legend gently replaced the weapon Warriors had handed him into its trunk. The sword was one of several they’d unearthed in Time’s basement and it was arguably the most handsome, with a violet hilt and wings molded into the cross-guard. Legend slammed the trunk shut before turning to meet three pairs of wide eyes.

“What?” Wild’s laugh was nervous.

“The sword is haunted.” Legend’s tone took on an edge of annoyance.

“Okay but what does that mean?” Although Warriors’s eyes were skeptical, his tone was uncertain.

Legend shrugged noncommittally. “What does it mean when anything is haunted? The souls of the damned cling to shreds of the mortal plane, waiting for someone unlucky enough or dumb enough to come by so they can scare them or follow them or try to possess them or something.” He frowned as he glanced back to the trunk, visibly suppressing a shudder.

“So you’re saying I can’t hang this one in my room,” Wild guessed.

“I wouldn’t. First of all, it’s not yours and you tend to break anything you touch outside of the kitchen.” Legend ignored Wild’s indignant frown. “Second, usually has to be some nasty shit that causes something to be this haunted, and I’m not about to go ask the old man what he’s used that thing for. Are you?”

All eyes turned to where Twilight stood thoughtfully rubbing his hand over his mouth. Once he recognized that the others were staring at him expectantly, he threw up his hands. “Not it.”

“Oh, come on!”

Legend rolled his eyes, brushing past the others and making his way toward the basement stairs. As he came up to the first floor landing, he glanced up to where Time stood in the shadows, arms folded across his chest.

Time rolled his eye, mouthing a silent ‘Thank you.’ Legend bumped his fist as he snuck out the door.
