Lucas's dislike for Jennette would be interesting to explore if the reason wasn't because she was the second female lead but because she was a child that was created non consensually with mana stolen from him when he was asleep by the man he rejected (as in metaphorical rape). His hatred for her would be rooted in self hatred. Jennette is something powerful and terrifying, something that should be feared and rejected by society (just like him), both were conceived unnaturally from magic (manhwa lucas is implied to have been sired by the world tree), Jennette was raised by a white haired man who refused to become her family and never made her feel like she belonged (just like him and Gisil), they formed an attachment to a father figure (Caelum, Claude), possibly felt jealousy towards the true child of the father figure (Aeternitas, Athy) and ruined their parent/child relationship.
The difference is that Jennette still clings stubbornly onto her dream of a family, never embraced her "true" nature or put herself above those that were less powerful than her. And this must be incomprehensible to Lucas. Lucas was rejected by the people he loved because of his magic. He looks down on those with less mana than him because he might've begun to tell himself the opinion of those weaker than him didn't matter. They were ants in comparision to him who was basically a demi-god. It would be a nice parallel if Jennette and Lucas both tried to find comfort in a narrative they have constructed for themselves. They are forced into the roles of the lovely princess and wizard hermit respectively through external factors. The difference is that Jennette broke out of her role first in this life.
#where was I going with this#anyway Lucas disliking wmmap Athy and sympathizing with Jennette/lp Athy always made more sense to me#than the opposite#because wmmap Athy has everything he ever wanted and was jealous of#societey rejected him for the reason that he was a powerful magician but Athy is celebrated for it#wmmap#who made me a princess#sbapod#suddenly became a princess one day#wmmap lucas#jennette margarita#jennette is a construct made of black magic theory

don't you have a lucathy or athy playlist? and if you don't have one, then which songs remind you of athy or lucathy?
Haha embarrassingly enough (?) I have three whole playlists. Athanasia, Athanasia: Instrumental, and Lucathy. Yes I'm very good at naming.
The lucathy one is slightly cringe, I'll admit, but I still think it's pretty good. Now the Athy ones are pure art, I'm not taking any criticism on this matter. I use the instrumental one to write and study!
This might be silly but I take "playlist making" very seriously. The song's lyrics, melody and Vibes™ have to fit, it's absolutely forbidden to choose a song just because of the title, and overused artists are banned (okay there's a single Mitski song but I genuinely think it fits lucathy). I try to keep them semi short because those eternal playlists get tiring for me. And I also try to use songs in different languages, so there're songs in english, french, korean and japanese.
Out of all the songs I used, the one I think fits lucathy the most is «千ノ縁 (A Thousand Fated Connections)» by Yonder Voice. Yes I'm a Touhou fan.
千ノ縁 by Yonder Voice.
For Athy, «Bulbel» by Mili is absolutely perfect. Or «絶対的一方通行 ~ Unreachable Message», also by Yonder Voice. Both give a lot of LP Athy-Athy feels. I'm eventually using them in some way or another in a fanfic lmao.
Bulbel by Mili.
絶対的一方通行 ~ Unreachable Message by Yonder Voice.
For the instrumental ones, «il» by Jean-Michel Blais, «Bloom» and «Accolade» by Mili, «If You Came Here To Live» by Alex Kozobolis, «Blossom» by James Spiteri— Actually, just listen to the whole playlist. It's super good, if I can say so myself.
#you might notice that the first songs in the Athy playlists are sad and give more LP Athy vibes#and as the playlists progress the songs get more uplifting and give more wmmap Athy vibes. I wanted them to kinda follow that narrative#the lucathy one starts with romantic songs that fit them but at the end the theme shifts to death and reincarnation#because of their characters' arcs... god im such a nerd#but im so happy you asked me this anon LMAO i love my playlists a lot#who made me a princess#i suddenly became a princess#suddenly became a princess one day#wmmap#sbapod#sbap#athanasia de alger obelia#athanasia#athy#lucas wmmap#wmmap lucas#lucasxathanasia#athanasiaxlucas#lucasxathy#lucathy

Hi, just want to ask. Had there been no Ana-Mr. Ancestor's resurrection thingy and Obelia stayed peaceful, how would LP!Jennette, as empress, fare with nobility and the court? Especially if Claude passes away from black magic usage?
I think Jennette would make a decent Empress if she is surrounded by the right people. Before Athy went on her spiritual journey to the world tree she entrusted Jennette with Obelia in case something happened to her which meant she had trust in her abilities. LP Athy and Jennette were taught alongside each other after Jennette was accepted as a princess and Athy taught her about the palace life. I imagine that unlike Lucas, Athy was being a good teacher as almost everything she does comes easy to her and Jennette would have been an adept student. I used to think that after the death of her family Jennette would fall into a deep depression and push the work on Ijekiel, but based on Jennette's reaction to the blows of fate the manhwa dealed out to her (aunt Rosalia's death, Claude's illness, Ijekiel's rejection, her discovery that she's a black magic baby and Anastacius is her father) she is someone who bounces easily back and forgives and forgets.
I have the impression that Jennette is the type of person who would listen more to the opinions of the council and would be hesitant to make any major decisions without taking in the opinion of as many people as she can, which could complicate matters because Jennette would want to please everyone and leave no one unsatisfied. Giving the council more political power could lead to corruption, bribery and even murder among those who have a seat in the council or wish to be elected as the next member. Assassinations of nobles and mock trials would be on an all time high and this time no one would target the Empress' life since everyone would view her as a doll easily to be controlled. The lives that will be in danger are of the ones who pull her strings. The fortune of the house Alpheus and Judith might as well become their downfall if they are not strong enough to hold their position.
During the period of mourning Jennette would rely alot on Ijekiel who would see to it that no greedy noble would have Jennette's ear. I assume Athy told Ijekiel in her letters to take care of Jennette, should anything befall her on her mission and lp Athy may have said something similar which lead Ijekiel to go through with the decision to marry Jennette although he was angry at Rosalia and technically giving her what she wanted, but he felt obliged to respect the wish of the dead princess/his first love and didn't want Obelia to fall into the wrong hands either. Ijekiel may still view Jennette as this soft hearted princess who needs to be protected and cannot do anything on her own. His underestamination of her abilities would cause him to baby her and do much of Jennette's work that she could have theoretically done on her own or used to learn how to do it on her own with the right guidance. I imagine he would give her some paperwork and when he is finished with his own he would offer to do hers because it's faster and Jennette would agree because Ijekiel probably knows better than her. She'd feel guilty wasting his time asking too many questions and often when she doesn't understand something she'd just nod along, thinking she'd already asked too many questions today and would plan to look up the answers in private later. She might become a frequent visitor of the library and stay in touch with Athy's former teachers through letters.
Seeing that Jennette was raised on fairytale books, I think she would make a great effort to become a good Empress who improves the lives of the commoners by building orphanages and sponsoring the education for the lower classes, but because she was raised so old fashioned I fear it wouldn't occour to her to do something about women's rights unless her attention is called to a particular bad case of misogony.
Unlike Athy who is comfortable at the castle, Jennette, who feels nervous in the big luxurious rooms of the palace, would spend much time outside and do activities that happen to be great PR for her, like giving alms, praying in the public church, visiting the public library, theatre plays or going shopping in the town rather than sending for a tailor who comes to the palace. She'd give a flower to a street musician or buy sweets at the market place or gift a doll to a crying child and these people will tell the story for the rest of their lives how they met the lovely princess and how kind and generous she was just like the rumors said.
Jennette would be closer to commoners, she's the kind of person who'd become friends with her maid or the errant boy, these ties to the "other" world would open her eyes to the struggles of the working class and make her see where change is necessary, but Ijekiel would be the real power behind the throne, I think. She'd tell him what she wants to change and Ijekiel would have to find a way to translate her wishes into reality. Which can be often frustrating for Ijekiel. I think Ijekiel would find her naive in her thinking, her ideas unrealistic and might not even try as hard as he could. Because even though Ijekiel is kind, the world was made for someone like him. An aristocratic man would not feel the same pressure to reform old laws that made his own life easier. The real problem is how would Jennette be able to convince Ijekiel of her skills and make him stop coddling her? Some big event has to happen that would force Ijekiel to change his way of thinking and give up power to Jennette. Ijekiel needs to accept Jennette as his partner and not some kind of burden he has to carry on his back for the rest of his life. There might be bitterness in Ijekiel that has intensified over the years and would create tension in moments like these. Jennette had never expressed interest in ruling before, ignored her duty when Claude was ill and let others deal with the work and suddenly she wants to play the good Empress and dismantle part of the whole system that made sure people like them stayed in power?
Even if Jennette learned to be a decent ruler in a short amount of time, it's likely her reign would be marked by political instability and social unrest. Jennette has the ability to control people's emotions but only of those close to her. Think of the neighbouring kingdoms that are not friendly with Obelia and that Claude kept in check until now. Claude's sudden death is the golden opportunity to declare war on Obelia. All the enemy nations see is a weak little girl that doesn't even have mastery over her magic. Ijekiel is a statesman. He's learned the machinations of the nobility inside Obelia and a bit of diplomacy in Arlanta but he's neither a mighty warrior nor the best wizard on the continent. Like Jennette he has no experience with war. They were both raised during an era of peace. Obelia might meet the same fate of every Empire that has become too big to control and collapse.
I'd say manhwa lp Ijennette have the potential to be a good team, and novel Ijennette could have been an even greater power couple but from the few glimpses I got, I have the feeling they would eventually start to resent each other. Novel Ijekiel would bottle up his feelings and force himself masochistically into the role of her doting husband, all while blaming Jennette internally for lp Athy's death and robbing him of the life he could have had. One day he'd snap and their relationship would never be the same again. Depending on how Jennette approaches Rosalia's punishment when her involvement in the poisoning affair has come to light, there might be hope that their relationship would change for the better and Ijekiel could recognize that Jennette has finally grown up and has gained the strenght to make difficult decisions on her own. But I don't know if Jennette is ready to lose another family member. Novel Jennette's punishment for Claude who has murdered her parents was that he should be a good father to her and spoil her. Would her punishment of aunt Rosalia have been similar? And manhwa Jennette was so ready to believe the thing with Anastacius has just been a terrible misunderstanding.

I want to remind everyone that Jennette and Ijekiel’s relationship in the novel never improves. Ijekiel may have ‘moved on’, but it wasn’t really of his own accord—it’s because Athy literally encouraged him to go with Jennette (which I’ve already mentioned whose encouragement stems from her rose-tinted glasses of dehumanizing both Ijekiel and Jennette). Jennette, whose feelings and psyche we’ve delved into multiple times throughout the novel, hates Ijekiel’s falsity the most. She may be afraid of his anger and frustration, but that’s because it would be so foreign to her—but at the same time, it would be relief because at the very least it means it’s Ijekiel finally laying his feelings bare to her. But Ijekiel made it clear to her during his rejection that he has no intention to ever be genuine to her—that he will keep up his mask, monitor his emotions closely while still spitting out cruel words as if he were angry, though he dare not present so. That’s what scares her most, and what she despises terribly.
So the novel ends with Jennette exiled to outside of Obelia, waking up after attempting to off herself with her magic, alone with the man who just conveyed to her that he will never be genuine or truthful with her. In Ijekiel’s side, the woman he loved just told him to go with Jennette—who he has SO much unpacked baggage with already, being that he never saw or acknowledged Jennette as a woman (not romantically, I’m saying he constantly views her as a child despite her being an adult and having multiple enigmas, personal conflict, and growth through the years), still and will always view her as someone who will chase after him and ignore his feelings or opinions (which stems from an image he himself wanted to uphold, Jennette always wanted him to give his true opinions and gave him PLENTY of times to reject her and her requests), and overall just has so much pent up feelings and resentment for Jennette for little things throughout his childhood that’s too much to resolve without a proper heart-to-heart with Jennette—which he already resolved to never doing.
Which ends the novel with both of them at basically their most uncomfortable, stuck with the person they very much never want to be around. It’s hell. It’s gonna be hell. They’re practically strangers—people who’ve been around each other for nearly two decades, but don’t know the first thing about the other. And now it’s extremely awkward because of their fight, and the line Ijekiel drew that because of Jennette’s extremely fragile mental state, will force Ijekiel to have to be the first one to reach out. And he won’t. Because he’s not used to reaching out, especially to Jennette of all people (as Jennette’s always been the one to try and reach out, and he’s always been the one to put up a mask and comply even if he truly wishes not to).
And we know this is true, because Athy and Lucas literally talk about it at the end of the LP sidestories. After Athy comes back from her LP adventure, she decides to take a trip and visit Jennette and Ijekiel—and Lucas states something along the lines of how they don’t even meet eachother’s eyes (Athy takes it as both of them not dating, which I’m completely confused about, and chalk it up to Plutus forcing a pairing somewhat, as when we last saw them they couldn’t even be called friends). When Athy and Jennette exchange letters, there is no mention of Jennette and Ijekiel’s relationship. Athy even remarks that, before Jennette started exchanging letters, her letters with Ijekiel were mostly of Jennette’s condition because (she) was worried about her (not that Ijekiel talks about Jennette on his own, Athy has to inquire about Jennette—which was also what Ijekiel was jealous of right before his rejection of Jennette, that Athy only seemed to love and ask about Jennette in his presence). Nothing has improved since the official end of the novel, and it’s the last we see of them, and I honestly don’t really have much faith that it’ll improve anytime soon. At least, not without Athy’s intervention, but that would require more of Athy’s own growth.
#who made me a princess#wmmap#suddenly became a princess one day#sbapod#wmmap novel#sbapod novel#wmmap jennette#wmmap ijekiel#sbapod jennette#sbapod ijekiel#novel jennette#novel ijekiel#syl tea#small tidbit but I’m pretty sure that part of the reason why ijekiel left was also because he realized#that in Athy encouraging him to go and protect Jennette#it finally dawned on him that she will always put Jennette over him#and THAT is what resolves him to finally moving on#when he was jealous over Jennette and when Jennette told him about Athy he could chalk up to Jennette being childish and throwing a tantrum#but when Athy herself basically spells it out for him it’s an actual wake up call#wasn’t sure where to put it in the main section#but Athy encouraging Ijekiel to ‘protect’ Jennette once again forces Ijekiel to maintain the caretaker role#meaning he will continue to subconsciously baby the already mature and grown Jennette#which inadvertently… continues what set their relationship so backward in the first place

Lucas is such an OP character lol 😭 a lot of his actions have snow ball effects on the story
1. He accidentally made Aeternitas obsessed with him WHICH IS THE REASON WHY THE STORY EVEN EXISTS
3. He steals LP!Athy’s mana which makes her. Well. Not die as a child
2. He decides to help Athy keep her magic which also makes her not die as a child + allows her to escape from Claude later on
3. He’s the reason why Athy and Kiel met and became acquainted lol (how ironic for you, Lucas)
4. He decided to leave for the World Tree later than he needed to because he didn’t want to leave Athy. Which fucking killed countess Rosalia before she could even appear 💀

Wmmap x Iatro crossover headcanons cause I have thoughts.
●Timeline wise it is 4 months post Wmmap and 1 year pre-Iatro
•Age wise it is:
Cossette (physically 18/ 13 January)
Kiera(18/ 16 Febuary)
Jennette(17/ 6 January)
Athy(17/ 3 December)
Ijekiel (20/ 5 March)
Joseph (20/ 5 August)
Erez (physically 21/ 21 October )
•Count Weinberg sent Cosette to the academy because he thought it would be good for her. (He wanted her out of the house)
•Jennette and Cosette share some classes despite Jennette being a year younger. She was put in advanced classes meaning a year a higher
●Anastacius and Jennette now live in and own a bakery the in parvis kingdom
●Athy and Jennette talk through letters sent via magic portal courtesy of Lucas
●Lucas and Erez know of eachother but neither cares much about the other
●The Obelia and Parvis kingdoms/duchies are allies and engage trade back-and-forth
●Cosette finds Jennette somewhat off-putting as she cannot see her face and Jennette has a staring problem.
●Joseph often comes to the bakery and talks to Jennette although he wouldn't call her a good friend.
••After Joseph and Keira become close he brings her along to taste the pastries.
●Athy hates Ludwig (He gives her LP!Claude vibes)
●Jennette will often seek Cosette out when in school. She wants to befriend her.
●Demons feast of black magic so Cosette is slowly and unknowningly consuming Jennete's magic.
~~~
That's all I got. It's a mess and there is more that I do not know how to articulate at the moment!
#jennette margarita#cosetteweinberg#cosetteparvis#actually i was the real one#wmmap#who made me a princess#keiraparvis#erez
My wmmap au timeline
So we start with the Lp! Verse
-Jennette wakes up from her illness and finds out that Athanasia had been executed by Claude. Distraught she turns on him and begins to plan her overthrow
-She murders Claude using her black magic and takes the throne for herself. Then starts to study time magic and sends everything back in time to when she was 5.
We leave the Lp! Verse and come into the current timeline
-Jennette wastes no time in studying magic and alchemy. Her magic grows so much to the point that it attracts monsters. To avoid suspicion and potential disaster she builds a small hut out in the forest to work in.
-At 14 she attends Athy's debutante and greets her the same way. Chasing after her to hand back her ribbon, but paying Claude no attention. (I'll probably re-design her debutante dress to)
-Now a slight variation to this au is that Athy realizes early that she was the original Athanasia and had regained her memories too. So she's very apathetic towards Claude and only acts cutesy to please him. She and Jennette share plans to take over the throne through private tea parties.
-Anyways we of course have to bring the boys in here. Kiel is fine and dandy with helping put Athy on the throne and they all pressure Lucas into mentoring Jennie. So now Jennie calls him Mr.Lucas and has a matching cloak like him :D
-So after years of preparation. They set it into motion. Jennette kills Claude once more and places the crown on Athanasia's head. The 4 kids make an mini coronation and present the new empress to the masses. The end
Extra notes:
-I'm making a Siodonnian boyfriend for Athy
-Letizia my baby girl will finally see the light of day after being stuck in my basement. Knight lady Leti and her pretty witch wife Jennette❤️
-Lukiel I guess because I am the biggest, slutiest, whore for rivals/enemies to lovers
@jeweled-blue-eyes Bestie I know you said something about Siodonnian boyfriend once. Gimme your headcanons. The only group projects I like are fandoms ones sooooo
My WMMAP character tier list
It’s been months since WMMAP ended so I decided to do a wmmap tier list for funsies.
Tbh, not much has changed since I last did this tier list thingie but I definitely became more... specific with how much I like and dislike certain characters.
Ana’s, Jennette’s, Kiel’s and Roger’s tiers are pretty obvious tbh since I’ve consistently made a lot of posts about them generally. They’re the threads still connecting me to wmmap to this day.
Not much to say about Felix. I just think he’s neat.
I like Lily and Claude. I don’t simp for Claude as much as I used to anymore tho lol. Nowadays, I just wanna imagine him as an actual dad after he got his ‘redemption arc’... I just like to clown him mostly tbh. As for Lily... I wish we’d have gotten more of her since she is literally the only person who’d always sided with Athy in LP and she’s devoted her entire life caring for Athy.
Athy, I’m on the bridge of the ‘like’ tier and the ‘you’re okay. we have no beef tier’ because, yeah I like her. She’s the protagonist for god’s sake. But I don’t really... worship her like other Athy enjoyers lol. To me she’s alright.
I still like Diana but I feel detached from her character tbh. Would have loved her more if she had more screentime... and some personality than just being Claude’s past lover and Athy’s mom who loves her even in the afterlife. But chapter 100 is absolutely beautiful. Loved that chapter so much.
Lucas is mostly meh for me. I mean, yeah he has his good points but overall I’m just not that huge of a fan of his character in the manhwa. Maybe I’d have liked him more if he has more character development. Also maybe if he has friends he wants to protect then I’d have bumped him up to the ‘we have no beef’ tier.
Penelope Judith... she doesn’t deserve being on a proper tier ahsdhcfhsh. She’s just a character I really dislike across fiction. Is she hot? Yeah but she’s not my type of hot. I often stay away from any fan content involving her but I kinda like seeing fanart of her being a mom to Jen. Penelope stans, you do you tho cause you guys are so chill! Love you guys <3
Here’s the link to the tier list if you wanna do it!
Here’s the tier list I made way back in February 2021 (man that felt like so long ago)
actually when i first started out on tumblr i remembered stumbling upon a post on a Claude x Lucas idea where Lucas woke up earlier and had the memories from LP and decides to "adopt" (read: kidnapped) Athanasia as a kid so she'll have a better luck at surviving. well, Claude notices that his daughter is missing and i think he found them and sparks fly between him and Lulu hehehsb. also Jetty was in the AU for the part two post where Roger dyes her hair blonde and passes her off as Athy but the maids hate her and she's pretty gloomy for the whole post.
i tried looking for the post again, but had little to no success in doing so, so if anyone was on tumblr during the time that post was up please tell me you know what i'm talking about. it wasn't too long ago but it was from a while back in i think 2020-2021.
#rosie's txt#their ship was called claucas#i know a weird name but it was so funny that the entire post as well as it's sequel resonates with me till this day#off topic but there was a meme on instagram on family guy template where it essentially jokes that callisto from vadd is a claucas child#weird shit from back in the day#who made me a princess#wmmap#wmmap lucas#wmmap claude#claude de alger obelia#claucas#i think i'm allowed to tag it that for the purposes of this post
Having lots of thoughts on the naming system in wmmap. Has anyone else noticed how the first letters of the names of the royals in wmmap either start with C or A? We have Ambrose, Aevum, Anastacius, Athanasia, Claude, Caelum, Carax...Can we talk about how the C-named character always kills the A-named character and how Athanasia and Jennette are the one exception and manage to break the circle?
Imagine if the author had given lp Jennette a name that starts with C, which she would have changed in wmmap once she choses to exile herself. What an opportunity for the author to further the Cain and Abel parallels in the naming of their characters in the Lovely Princess. Like Claude and Anastacius? The brothers killed each other out of jealousy, Caelum and [redacted]? Caelum's name doesn't mean immortality, which means he was not meant to be the heir. Did he kill his brother too? Then we have Aeternitas faking his death and changing his name to Carax. And according to novel readers Carax devours the mana of his descendents, most of the firstborns which had been given the name of a ruler: immortal, resurrection, undying, everlasting time, names that were derived from the greek words αἰώνῐος (aionios) or ἀμβρόσιος (ambrosios), αθάνατος (athanatos) and ἀνάστασις (anastasis). Names that started with the first letter A. Carax targeted Anastacius when he was a child, he influenced his mind, ripped apart his family, he might have orchestrated his death too so he could take possession of his body.
Another interesting observation is how there tends to be a reversal. Caelum possibly killed his A-named sibling and his treatment of Aeternitas after Lucas questioned his parentage might have metaphorically killed him too, but Aeternitas returned with another name, he became Carax and murders his own father, Claude killed Anastacius and became the Emperor, but years later Anastacius was resurrected and took revenge. Athanasia was wrongfully executed by Claude, but here again the daughters refuse to become like their ancestors. Athy choses to save her fathers life instead of leaving him to die in his black magic induced coma.
what are your favorite athy's au? In fanfics
Hmmm I don't know if the fandom has that many established AUs for me to choose from, and in WMMAP's setting I normally prefer canon compliant or canon divergence fics.
That been said, I enjoy any type of AU that explores Athy betraying or going against Claude in some way or another. It's just a really interesting idea to explore from a narrative point of view (one of the absolute best fics in this fandom is a russian fic where Athy sides with Ana. So well written). Villainess Athy AUs can be good if done correctly (Athy still has to be Athy, you know? Don't switch her personality to a generic manhwa villainess). I also love those "Athy reincarnates over and over again until she finally snaps" types of AUs. Throw LP!Athy into the mix and you have a heart-wrenching story.
On the more lighthearted side, I like those stories where Athy travels back in time and meets young Claude, before he became the person that he is now. Athy becoming Lucas' magic apprentice is also a very fun idea, but it doesn't come up that often. Ah, does wlw lucathy AU count? Because let me tell you, the way in which Athy speaks about women in the novel- My girl is bisexual for sure.
#i also really like lucathy stories but in a LP setting because LP!Lucas is just such a fun character#i feel like im betraying our Lucas since I love his LP version so much lmfao#oh one time i saw a LP role-swap AU where Athy was the one introduced in the debutante and it rewired my brain. So good#wmmap
I've said it before but the world tree is so shady. Why did it establish contact with Athy only now? What if it wanted Athy to die? I've always found it strange that Athy is allegedly god's "favourite" when in the Lovely Princess The World Tree did nothing to save lp Athy from her execution and in wmmap it tempts Athy with a method to save her father but choses not to tell her about the risks of her journey. The scene where Athy who is filled by the omnipotence of the world tree becomes suddenly so high-spirited and fearless, believes she can do anything and demands to touch the branch again to travel there immediately, reminds me of the scene when Athy is stuck with the desire to pluck the mana-eating lotus flower and almost drowns. From one moment to another Athy isn't acting rational and cautious anymore. It's as if she's suffering the aftereffects of a spell that has gripped her psyche.
Had Lucas not stopped Athy, had he not prepared her for what was about to come, Athy would have followed the lure of the world tree and went on an adventure to big for her. It's questionable if she would have made it out alive without any help.
What if the tree wanted Athy to die and eat her mana, because their own was stolen from them by Lucas and they needed to replenish their mana? The only person that could come into question as a sacrifice is someone powerful: a royal. What if the world tree did not care which member of the Imperial family died (Claude, Aeternitas, Athy...) as long as one of them died? Imagine if the world tree was like the mana-eating flower that grew in Claude's lake, except it possesses consciousness and both gives and takes mana to achieve a balance of the world. It's neither god nor evil. It's just acting according to it's nature to ensure the continued existence of the world.
how he grieves and mourns
Remember that panel (I CANT FIND ITTT) in the manhwa that implied (at least I understood it like that) Lucas destroyed Obelia after Athy was killed in her first life?
Let's clarify that I am only a manhwa reader, I haven't read the WMMAP novel.
Well, I just love the idea of Lucas going feral and protective because of Athy. And then, I was writing something before I could stop myself. It's just something short, but I haven't finished it and I have more ideas.
what if I write an AU where Athy isn't killed in her life but instead is kidnapped by god dragon Lucas who is tired of seeing Athy being neglected by his dad and decides HE will be the one to spoil her and love her and blablabla.
idk why I love the idea of Lucas being a dragon deity. anyways, I wrote it (a part of it?)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sky turned gray very quickly; nothing like the calmness of the obscure clouds that used to bring rain to Obelia during certain months of the year.
This time the sky burned.
So ardent and atrocious, cursing with all its immensity and magnitude. The sky became the host of the devil himself.
And the mortals implored. Yet Obelia burned for days, and since day one of this horrible tragedy the Empire was no more.
A pitiful end for such a once outstanding nation. A golden castle tore into pieces by claws, by god’s rage.
Much more time later, when Obelia was no longer a fresh catastrophe upon mortal minds and the earth was no longer quietly suffering the painful process of recovering from the devastation of death and fire, history scholars will wonder:
Why did the Obelian Empire fall apart in three days?
Fate is a silly thing. A mocking asshole.
It tempts you because it knows your deepest desires. It charms its way into the very core of your soul, it settles there all cozy and defenseless casting an absurd feeling of comfort.
Entities such as Lucas really should know better than to fall so low.
In the end, however, even creatures like Lucas, born with divine power and mana in their veins, became bound to earth and its disgrace. Earth's rules chained the children of the gods.
Romance was meant for mortals, for foolish humans. Lucas wasnt meant for that; Lucas was meant to hoard treasures and knowledge, Lucas was meant to be people’s god.
Lucas became foolish. He liked pretty things and that was his first mistake.
Fate smiles cruelly when it discovers what you love.
Lucas profoundly believes that fate put that pretty thing in his path.
Foolish dragon, his mind whispers viciously when he finds himself thinking that it is difficult to decide if that pretty thing in his path is a curse or a blessing.
His second mistake was accepting fate’s mischievous gift.
She was bright, brighter than the sun; she warmed Lucas like nothing else. Her tiny mortal hands always caressing with such gentleness his own body, somehow lightening the weight Lucas didn’t know he had been carrying through an eternity of loneliness.
Athanasia. Her name meant for immortality, for divinity.
And Lucas —foolish, foolish dragon— thought back then that she was the first mortal he met befitting of such a name. He thought, so foolishly bewitched, that someday he would show her his full being, his whole and pure soul.
Back then he had wanted to tell her:
“You were meant for me.”
Because after all, was not Lucas the immortal she was meant for since her birth? Was her name not a sign of Lucas’ possession?
It was very easy to fall in love and that is what makes Lucas mad.
He doesn’t know if he is referring to the kind of mad that made him blush and unable to stop thinking about her for even a second, or to the kind of mad that ripped his insides and created Obelia’s fall.
He supposes both can fit into that sentence.
Falling in love was easy, too much if you ask him, but Lucas suspects that it was just because it was her; anybody else would not have been worth his attention.
Hello, I have a question about WMMAP, I heard there is a side story of Ezekiel moving on from Athy? Is that true? And may I have a spoiler about it if there is.
Thanks so much, Have a great day!
Hi <3
In the novel, there is 5 side-stories : one about Athy’s 18th birthday (focused on Lucathy), one about Athy and Lucas travelling to the world of Lovely Princess (mainly Lucathy too though there is some implied LP!Athykiel), one about Lucas’ past, one about Claude, and the last about LP!Lucas crossing dimensions!
In none of these is there anything that indicates that Kiel moves on from Athy… Because that happens in the main story!
At the end of the novel, Ezekiel realises that he had been unfair to Jennette (they had several fights by that point), who is in an hour of need.
So he decides to leave for the country-side with her until she gets better, instead of staying in the capital (with Athy, who pretty much rejected him several times by now).
Their last conversation goes like this, pretty much: Athy tells him to go “where he belongs”, and that Jennette is the one who needs him.
Ezekiel agrees, and adds that Athanasia is a strong person (and thus doesn’t need his presence). Athy points out there seems to be bitterness in his eyes, but that he seems relieved as well.
I hope I was able to help, have a great day too <3
