what's your favorite gin + tea?

Oh, wonderful, difficult question.

On their own, my go-to gin is Roku, a Japanese botanical brand. For a good craft gin, the price is really reasonable, and I really love the yuzu flavor. It's pretty versatile, if you're a cocktail person. I like the malty flavor of Assam teas (Taylors of Harrogate is a decent brand), and I don't like most herbal teas other than rose. I tend to drink tea with milk, unless it's a green or jasmine. As a combination, I like a Royalty/Royal Tea cocktail (Not to be confused with Royal Milk Tea!) , which is iced 3 oz Earl Grey, 2 oz Gin, simple syrup and lemon peel. You can put more lemon and sugar on the rim to dress it up.

Thank you for the kind words! It was actually my first time making flatbread so I wouldn’t consider myself a god among breadsmen by any means.

I followed the recipe in the post pretty much exactly. It really is that simple! The only change I made was adding a little olive oil into the dough.

I used Fage brand 5% milkfat Greek yogurt. I love this brand.

I also believe measuring by weight is the key to getting a perfect dough. Invest in a kitchen scale!

I decided to stick with Wei Wuxian first mostly to show his current lack of information. He’s not even quite sure what date they have besides the vague season (not that he says so explicitly, king of unreliable narration strikes again) and all the conclusion he comes to from what surrounds him.

Lan Qiren, meanwhile, obviously knows what’s been happening in the world (well, to a degree) and is more than less purposefully withholding information from Wei Wuxian. One of the reasons should become very apparent in the next chapter (to be posted Tuesday if I can finish chapter 5 in time), the other is straight up that Wei Wuxian is terrifying.

Like, in canon we don’t really get the sense of that when Wei Wuxian is resurrected because he decides “yes, I’m gonna act like gay lunatic as a cover this tracks 10/10” and frankly speaking behaves incredibly chill. Sure, we hear about things he allegedly committed before dying, but there’s always this filter because we don’t see Wei Wuxian act like that and the characters surrounding him aren’t even 100% if he is Wei Wuxian, or just Mo Xuanyu after all.

So yeah, kicking this fic off with Wei Wuxian’s POV because he is very smart about a lot of things but doesn’t quite realize just how much his return unsettled Lan Qiren.

But trust me, there will be plenty of Lan Qiren POV in the future, definitely also to my and the reader’s amusement about some of Wei Wuxian’s conclusions ;)

I intend to make this fic the funny get along sweater in laws road trip those two deserve.

Not that Lan Wangji knows that yet.

for me once i gain basic knowledge of any language i immediately gain a fondness for it so i think my favourite is probably arabic bc i’m in the process of learning it and while it is also frequently my enemy, i do love it very dearly

dutch and french are my two native languages so obvs knowing all their quirks and singularities and the love i associate with them is just <3333

english!! i am also an english student and while i don’t like how it’s very often considered more valuable than any other language it’s still one of my favourites.

and then languages i don’t know know very well recently i’ve been obsessed with romanian, maltese and any click language!!

to be fair historical asian art is not 100% realism all the time. and also i was first exposed to them in elementary school and then just didn't have reason to question that assumption.
