Allah calls Himself Al-Majeed— The Glorious, The Most Honorable – on two occasions in the Quran. He’s the One Whose essence is pure and absolute perfect: His dazzling glory, dignity, nobility, honor and limitless compassion and generosity to us is without any fault or deficiency. All praise and glory is for Him only due to the perfection of His attributes and His deeds towards the creation! The All-Glorious, the Majestic, and Most-Honourable

 Majeed comes from the root meem-jeem-daal, which points out to the attribute of glory and honor (majd). Majd refers to a complete authority(sultan) and sovereignity (‘adhamah). This root includes the meanings of being glorious, dignified, majestic and exceedingly generous.

This root appears 4 times in the Quran as the adjective majeed (Glorious). One who is majeed is a very highly distinguished person, from honourable roots and often showing his favours to others. When applied to Allah (swt), it’s implied that He’s Al-Majeed – The All-Glorious and Honourable. He is vast in greatness, honor, respect, might and glory.

Al-Majeed Himself said: They said, “Are you amazed at the decree of Allah? May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, people of the house. Indeed, He is Praiseworthy and Honorable. [Quran, 11:73] and Honorable Owner of the Throne [Quran, 85:15]. Al-Majeed related to other Names

 The Name Al-Majeed is related in meaning to the combination of three other Beautiful Names, Al-Jaleel (the Majestic), Al-Kareem (The Generous) and Al-Wahhaab (The Bestower). Al-Majeed is majestic and beautiful in both His qualities and actions, He treats His slaves most generously and gives them gifts beyond any expectations demonstration His Greatness which deserves all praise!

The glorious Quran Allah ‘azza wajal says: Qaaf. By the Quran that is majeed” [Quran, 50:1]. The Quran has the greatest status over all books that were sent down, it contains all the goodness of this world and the Hereafter and therefore it is the most honourable, respect, complete and perfect Book!

How Can You Live by This Name?

1. Follow His book.  Know that you are a slave of One Who is Perfect so follow His Book, submit to His commands and stay away from His prohibitions. Learn to recite, understand and live by the Quran to increase yourself in dignity and honor!

2. Praise Al-Majeed continuously. Show Him you are grateful for His favors upon you and praise Him for His perfection. Abu Hamzah Albaghdady said: It’s impossible for you to claim you love Allah and not praise him continuously, and it’s impossible that you praise Allah continuously and not see the sweetness of that in this life; and its impossible you see the sweetness of praising Allah and then be preoccupied with other than him. Not praising Al-Majeed continuously is even a sign of a hypocrite. Allah ‘azza wajal said: When the hypocrite stand up to worship they perform it languidly and to be seen of men, and they do not praise Allah but a little [Quran, 4:142] There is no excuse for the dhikr (remembrance) of Al-Majeed: Remember Allah , standing, sitting and reclining [Quran, 4:103]!

3. Treat others with respect. Let the attribute of majd open your heart and treat others with forgiveness and patience. Speak kindly to others, smile to them and help other reconcile. Spend your blessings of wealth to help the less fornite and apart from your spending be humble and kind to them.

4. Reflect on the creation of Al-Majeed.

The signs of Allah’s majd can be seen all around us, the whole universe and all it contains for our benefit is a demonstration of the vast Greatness and Generosity of Al-Majeed. When you go through difficulties and trials look around you and realize it is Al-Majeed Who just says Be and it is: … the handiwork of Allah Who has made everything thoroughly [Quran, 27:88] As He made everything around you and inside you, He can surely give you a way out of your problems!

5. Memorize and live by this beautiful supplication.

When you start praying you say: Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka wa ta’aalaa jadduka wa laa ilaaha ghairuka, which means Glorified are You O Allah and with Your praise and blessed is Your Name and high is Your Majesty and there is no god other than You. The actual meaning of subhanaka is You are pure. You are free from any defect, deficiency or fault. Subhanaka Allahumma means also that whatever test of life that You have given me is perfectly alright. I don’t have any complaint against You. If we strengthen this feeling then we will have the strongest positive attitude!

Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem.  O Allah, Al-Majeed, we know that You are vast in Greatness, Might and Honour. Help us in reciting, understanding and acting upon Your glorious Book and make us of the dhaakireen, those who remember You continuously with a beautiful glory and praise. Make us respectful to others and in others eyes and inspire us to reflect upon Your signs, keep granting us honor through Islam and bestow upon us the honour of gazing upon Your Countenance in Paradise, ameen!

A trainwreck directed by an egotistical six-year-old in a leech of a man's body who thinks he's a screenwriter and still plays pretend with his uwu self-insert OC.

.... real talk, though, in short:

The real travesty of Love and Thunder is that Thor is already made of love and thunder, and simultaneously Jane is the love to his thunder, and the MCU, through taika wai-feck-off, decided he can be neither of those things, and have no nice things. Thor is the most tragic character in the ENTIRETY of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and yes, I do think more tragic than Wanda.

He has lost :

his entire home planet

his people

his entire family of four (no hela does not count he was not connected to her and should have been odin's sister)

before which he lost his brother (his platonic soulmate, to boot) a total of 3 times emotionally, two of those physically

he lost his ENTIRE friend group because his half-sister murdered Volstagg, Hogun and Faendral; he never reconnected with Sif

his only good mentor/parental figure (heimdal) was stabbed through the heart in front of him

he lost his dignity, his crown, his birthright (voluntarily and otherwise)

he lost his self-worth, his sense of direction (bc the writers legitimately thought his arc was about stepping down from the crown instead of making it his own and growing into it in his own way, by his own merits, at his own pace and gave it to some literally no-name side character that showed up for one movie and never respected thor in the first place to even earn his title from him smh)

and taika's idea of rectifying any of this .... is to give him some random child he doesn't know, that he doesn't care for, and manipulate him into taking her under his wing not because of the kindness and limitless love of his own heart even after shutting himself down post!endgame, but because jane asked him to as her dying wish — and then say that THAT is his happy ending.

Tell me why Thor, the longest standing of the Big Three, the king of the stars, the hero who is by all respects the embodiment of love, gets no companionship, no friends, no home, no place to belong, when Tony got a hero's send off and Steve got to be with an alt!dimension Peggy.

Categorizing Differences Between Funeral Home And Cremation Services

There are lots of differences between funeral home services and cremation options, but they are the same as well in that they are honorable and respectful to the person who died.

If you’ve ever thought of your own funeral home or cremation service plans, you likely know that there are two main choices: a traditional funeral and burial or cremation services. While those two things are alike in that they both meet the needs of someone who has passed away, they are also different in lots of different categories. Here are some of the similarities and differences in a variety of categories.

Honor And Respect

This is an important category as you only want the utmost honor and respect for yourself when you pass on, as well as for any loved one you might plan for in the future. The good news is that both options are completely honorable and respectful. They both give the person who passed on what they need with the utmost dignity. There really is no difference in amounts of honor and there is no wrong choice to make. You simply have to choose what you feel is best for your situation. Expenses

There are similarities in expenses between traditional funeral home services and cremation services in that they are both going to cost money. However, funeral home and burial services are always going to be a lot more than cremation services. Funerals cost more because they include a lot of services and products that you just don’t have to have with a cremation service. For example, funerals require caskets, a burial plot, headstones, and more things like that, which you don’t have to have for a cremation at all. Cut those things out and it makes sense why cremation costs so much less upfront.

Options

When you visit with a final service provider, they will show you that there are options to consider for both funerals and cremations. They have a variety of packages that can show you the differences and these packages include everything you have to have. But outside of the packages, you can also customize both types of services. However, there are only so many things you can do with a funeral and burial. There are certain procedures that must be followed. On the other hand, the options that go along with a cremation are almost limitless. The only real limit is your imagination and what you want to do. You have options with the memorial service timeline, the type of service you want to have, the final resting place, and so on and so forth.

As you work with a funeral home and cremation provider in planning final services, either for yourself in advance or for a loved one who has passed on, it’s nice to know that both service styles (traditional burial and cremation) are completely equal in the honor area. If you have a low budget, you might choose cremation. If you like traditions, you might choose a burial. Whatever your reasons are, they are valid and we will support you in implementing the plans.

I believe we are ready to meet this monumental challenge.

We must arm ourselves with knowledge. Do our research. It doesn't take an expert in mathematical logistics to recognize that out of 7 Billion souls on our planet, 50 percent are in turmoil and demanding more. We can be a positive force for change.

How do we do that? ...

We must render every ideology that breeds violence, hatred or disdain as illegitimate. We must encourage cultural and religious diversity. We must cultivate empathy. We must foster a love, born out of our human interdependence.

We must promote what we love instead of blasting what we hate for this only promotes human misery. In other words, do not rob others of their dignity; of their humanity. Do not let the dialogue degenerate into provoking others; into inciting violence and revenge; into self interest.

PROMOTE HONEST VALUES. PROMOTE PEACE ...

Peace is about resolving conflict without violence.

Respect for local culture and belief in the power of local capacities, ideas and solutions.

Trust between people is a critical foundation for lasting peace.

Integrity in ensuring that we are principled, forthright and sincere.

Participation is key as active interaction transforms relationships.

ADHERE TO HONEST PRINCIPLES ... FOCUS ON BEING ...

Consultative, inclusive and decisive.

Respectful underlining the belief that the quality of personal interaction is as important as its substance.

Disciplined and results-orientated.

Balanced in your information sources and approach to gender, culture and age.

Transparent, honest and sincere.

Objective by creating and protecting a neutral space.

Caring and empathetic.

Pioneering in seeking new and better ways to be effective.

It is TIME for the new; to move forward; still YOU but blended and seasoned with the 'WE'; working with community. It's about the lessons; about group consciousness. It's about OUR future...a Hope, a Dream, a Vision.

ISLAM 101: Creation: Part 8

Why does one creature’s life depend on the death of another?

Just as the day replaces night, spring follows winter, and autumn takes the place of summer, death follows life. The Creator, Who governs everything, does nothing in vain. He creates the most beautiful and intricate beings out of the lowest, seemingly unpromising, materials. Since it is the very nature of His creation to bestow freshness and novelty continually upon His creation, and since He sets on and motivates everything to mature and develop, risings and settings necessarily succeed each in this world.

Before going further into the subject, let’s define death.

Death is not final exhaustion of nature, an annihilation that operates of itself, or a total extinction into a void. Rather, it is a transformation, a change of place, state, and dimension; a completion of service, a release from its burden, to attain peace and ease. For every living thing, it is a sort of retreat or transition to its own essence and truth. For this reason, death is as desirable as life. It is as pleasing as meeting friends, and a blessing as great as acquiring immortality.

Materialists who do not grasp death’s meaning and truth always see it as horrifying and so compose gloomy odes to it. All such people have seen and felt the same things about death, and have made the same complaints about it.

Since death is a separation from life and living, it affects our minds and those sentiments that make us human. It is impossible to deny such an influence, to silence the heart in the face of death. Death arouses considerable tumult in our hearts and minds, though it may be short-lived. Belief in the Resurrection causes all such sorrows to be forgotten, for it is like presenting a kingdom to a person who has lost everything or assuring a person about to be hanged of eternal life and happiness.

According to those who understand the real meaning of death, death is no more than a release from service, a change of abode, and a journey to where most of one’s friends have already gone. Those who do not understand this see only its horrifying surface meaning: death as an executioner, a gallows, a bottomless pit, a dark passage into the void.

When believers begin to experience death, the beauties and rewards of Heaven begin to appear before them. When unbelievers, who are deprived of this pleasure of faith, think of death, they begin to feel the torment and fire of Hell that they nurture within their conscience. Their suffering is not just limited to their own feelings, for in their hearts they also feel the grief and suffering of all those with whom they share interests, pleasures, and concerns. Their suffering and loss of happiness increase the burden of grief for whoever regards death as a final end.

Believers consider death a release from service and life’s burdens and hardships and know that everything continues to exist in other realms (in its identity as form and idea). Thus, they view death as an advancement, a perfection, an acquisition of a higher essence and nature. Since death carries the fruit of eternal existence and bliss, it is also a great blessing and a Divine gift.

However, every advancement and perfecting, every blessing and acquisition of it, must pass through preparatory stages: close examination, molding and purifying. Spiritual progress and the subsequent advancement to higher levels come only through such trials and purifications. For example, crude ores perish in the purifying furnace before they yield the pure metal. Until the ores are processed in this way, they continue to exist in soil and rock, without the metal ever being tested and then presented in its true form.

If we accept this analogy, we can understand that while death appears to be a cessation, a passing into extinction or nothingness, in reality, it is passing into a higher, more elevated mode of being. When every non-sentient particle appears to move with an eager animation toward its apparent extinction, it actually is running toward the perfection prescribed for it. When oxygen and hydrogen atoms combine, they die in their separate identities only to be reborn as water, which is essential to the vitality of all living forms. Thus we can say that death is a changing of place and form, not an end or extinction. From the tiniest particles to the greatest compounds within the universe, all changes, transformations, and decompositions result in what is most beautiful, fresh, and excellent. That is why we define death as the movement of beings to a higher mode rather than as their extinction.

In another respect, death is the time when one being resigns and hands over its affairs to its successor(s). This is enacted in the sight of Him Who has sovereignty and dominion over all things. Each creature is charged with presenting itself in a unique parade before the presence of the One Who gave it existence. Just before its parade is over, and the picture or record of it made and stored, the parade of its successor(s) begins, which relieves the parade ground of sameness and refreshes the scene with new and active beings. Each being acted out its role and moves aside so that others may appear, act out their roles, and show their skills. The freshness, liveliness, beauty, and excellent diversity is seen in creation is the result of these comings and goings.

Death also may be understood as silent advice, in the sense that nothing is self-existent. In other words, nothing can survive by itself or has permanence. A fading and ultimately dead light indicates a source of light that is unfailing and eternal. For those who grieve and complain about the transience and perishing of all things, this is a good lesson on how to mature and attain true happiness. Whatever or whoever captivates our hearts will leave us one day, which causes us to yearn for an eternal being to love and to be loved by. In our transient world, such a yearning is the first stage of moving toward or attaining eternity. Death is the mysterious uplifter that raises people to that dignity.

Given this, we can liken death to a healing hand, one that nurses to full health, that hurts us only as a doctor would hurt us: by giving a necessary inoculation or lancing, rather than a grim sword or sickle laying everything to waste. Considering death as a merely utilitarian way of making room for new generations is mistaken, for death is not absolute annihilation or extinction. Rather, what disappears does so only from within the horizons of our limited understanding, for the identity of every particular (as form and idea) continues to exist in our memories, in the Preserved Record, and in God’s all-encompassing knowledge. They also exist in different dimensions and in realms beyond those dimensions, beyond corporeal understanding. For example, seeds and flowers bloom and die, but their identity as form and idea continues in the many seeds and flowers that will bloom after them.

Consider the subject from another angle. If there were no death, would we not live in a hell of unrelieved terror as we faced an endless existence without a break or relief? How could we measure the worth or value of anyone or anything, conserve or concentrate our energy, make or carry out an intention, if time was limitless? If such a situation existed, those who now mourn the fact of transience and death would mourn their absence. Moreover, we would not experience creation’s inexhaustible variety, with all the prompts and images it gives to the human mind of beauty, freshness, and loss with renewability. How, in the absence of such a panorama of novelty within stability, could the human mind be inspired to contemplate that which lies beyond and sustains the visible world? How could we seek and worship the One who creates and provides for the whole.

Let’s deal with the subject from a different angle. If everything depended on life instead of death if beings continued to live through calamities, and if all events and life followed one direction forever, what could have happened? What could happen mean?

Basing ourselves on what we said earlier, death contains blessing and wisdom. Life without death would be such an absurdity and horrible disaster that, if such a situation could be fully described, people would cry and mourn about staying alive instead of dying.

If nothing died, neither a fly nor a human being could have lived in the early ages of this world, for ants and varieties of ivy would have invaded and occupied the entire planet. Nothing else could have survived or thrived. And later on, if no ant or ivy ever died, there would have been thick layers of them covering the Earth. As such statements cannot be disputed, we can see what a great blessing death is, and the great wisdom in allowing dead things to decompose.

How much of the Earth’s enthralling beauty and splendor could be seen with such a huge number of ivy plants and ants? What would this world, created to exhibit the splendor and magnificence of His art, be if such a situation prevailed? How could we witness the power, might, knowledge, and grace of the Creator and Owner of this world?

The absence of death also would give rise to another problem: The magnificent wisdom and order in the rule of this universe show that nothing in it was created in vain. The Absolute Owner of the physical and spiritual domains creates the most worthwhile things out of what may appear to us the most worthless, making the valueless into the priceless. New and excellent creations are engendered from the cells serving as bodily forms for His servants, especially those making up the human souls that God has recalled and holds in His realms. If the bodies, which He valued so highly that He “breathed” human souls in them, were allowed to decompose into nothing, the Creator’s Omniscient Wisdom would be contradicted. Any such notion is absolutely contrary to His Divine Honor, and so cannot be entertained.

Reverence and Revelation

My Spirit of Truth is a comfort unto all receptive creatures...

I say unto you .. I Michael of Salvington am come to show you a better Way and Truth and Life .. I come to elevate you into dignity and respect .. to return you to nobility of honor and reverence for thine Source of Lufe .. and for revelations of glory and generosity to inundate your personal world .. if you're questioning in your mind why another fails to appreciate you and love you in the ways you are deserving to be cared for .. then, I Michael come to ennoble your wits and to eternalize your supply of love and compassion .. your everlasting bounties for the heavenly things to emerge in thee.

If you feel unengaged with what is good, beautiful, and true .. yet, if you desire to know truth and to begin to learn with Me to live in truthfulness and goodness and beauty .. to live upon the heights of the greater way of godliness .. if you desire to live more in this very moment of limitless possibilities .. and to begin the ardent task to free yourself from the enslavement to the past and the anxiety provoking mindset of the future .. to enter into this moment .. if you desire truth absolute .. objective non-negotiable truth .. subtle and all-empowering truth .. and if you're willing to walk in truthfulness, vulnerability, transparency, humility, honesty, and righteousness .. forthrightness and love .. then I .. Michael of Nebadon .. come to free you from the past and the future and the unhesitatingly disturbing delusions of fallen imageries which pervade the lands of a populace gone mad and crazed and who have lost their vision.

If you're always putting your attention 'out there' in the world of effects and appearances .. and if ephemerality and temporariness have made a plague from out of your mind and heart .. and if you cannot seem to find what's really important and essential to better your life .. and you cannot become that inner empowering cause of your highest creative nature and your most courageously inspired character .. and that intelligence of utter sincerity .. if you struggle with these things and you cannot live in this moment and embrace the glory of Infinity in this moment .. then I .. FAQ’s With Mama Hen

I’m working on the next chapter, and it’s taking me awhile, I’ll admit. Having been in and out of the hospital a few times, doctor’s appointments and such, I’ve been tired- but I’m alive! In the meantime, I wanted to write a few little “FAQ’s with Mama Hen” while they were on my mind. I’ll scroll through my feed, and see things, and then realize I wonder if these people understand what this means? Or, I need to explain what I’m getting ready to do next in the story. My mind is all over the place, and I have so many things going on at any point in time in it, that I’ll often forget things easily. So, while these things are on my mind, I’m going to post and address them.

The First: I’ve seen many people in the fandom who are either ALL about “Daddy Dom” or absolutely grossed out by it. What Mama Hen is wondering, how many really understand the dynamic of a Daddy Dom, and what it really is? I’m going to explain to you. A Daddy Dom has absolutely NOTHING to do with incest, pedophilia, or age play. None. For those who have been involved in the Lifestyle (that is the BDSM Lifestyle), a Daddy Dom differs from other Dominants or Masters. You may have seen the term DD/lg or DD/lb for the Daddy Dom and his little depending upon the sex. Once again, littles are women or men of LEGAL age, they are not age players who are interested in incest or pedophilia. The dynamic between a Daddy Dom and a little tends to be more loving and playful than the role of a traditional Dominant/sub Master/Slave. That is NOT to say that there is not the discipline given in the traditional BDSM relationship, but in the role of the Daddy Dom/little relationship it is one where the little is encouraged and fostered to let themselves be free and nurtured. The Daddy Dom is more loving Dominant, for those who are needier and enjoy affection this relationship would most definitely be the one to seek out starting out in the Lifestyle. It’s not something dirty or shameful. These are nothing more than names. Don’t let someone shame you for something you enjoy, or something you’d like to try. The key in ALL relationships, is trust. In any relationship D/s DD/lg DD/lb M/s relationship, the person holding the power is the submissive. Always remember that. If you are the submissive, make sure that your Dom(me) always respects your limits. It’s ok to have them, no matter what they are. If they are a true Dom(me), and interested in being with you, they will absolutely be respectful of those limits. If they aren’t. You walk right then. No true Dom(me) will disrespect limits. If you are a Dom(me) be respectful of your sub(s)/slaves, they are a treasure. They have chosen You, and are putting their trust in You not to harm them, but to mold them, and guide them. Don’t let them down.

Second: People being creeped out over the ages of Michael and Mallory in the beginning of the story. I went back, to the very, very beginning to give a backstory. I didn’t put footnotes, which, in hindsight, I probably should’ve. Yes, I did make a note that I had written Michael’s age was 16, and his mentality was 16. Ok. Let’s be honest ya’ll teenagers have sex. There wouldn’t be a popular MTV show called 16 and pregnant if they didn’t. Do I wish that there weren’t pregnant teenagers in real life? Dear God, yes. You have no idea how much I wish there weren’t. Most have no fucking idea how hard it is. I’ve given birth to two children. One naturally (and God knows that was NOT by choice), one by c-section, asleep. I had severe complications with both pregnancies, and only complications with the natural birth. I wouldn’t wish what happened to me either time upon my worst enemy. My chicks, you’re living under a rock if you think this isn’t happening. Now, had I written a having a 25 year old having sex with a 13 year old. There is a problem. There’s a BIG. ASS. PROBLEM. That’s illegal. Granted, it’s STILL fiction. There are television shows where that shit happens. It happens in real life as well, and it turns my stomach and hurts my heart, believe me, it rips Mama Hen’s heart out, and there’s something wrong with a 25 year old (male OR female) whose fucking a 13 year old, BUT I digress. My maternal grandmother got married the first time at age 14. He first husband died in the war (WWII) in Germany when she was 15, shortly after my Uncle Steve was born. She married my papaw later that year. Before she was 16, she’d been married twice. My paternal grandmother got married at 15 to my first papaw. This was in the 1940’s. I was born in the 1970’s. I had a friend in high school who got married at age 15. She now has a 24 year old child, along with five other children. She’s been married almost 24 years. I’ve been out of school 20 years this year. There was a time where it was the norm to marry when you were young. I don’t know what culture or country everyone is from, and in different countries, it still is a custom to marry younger (not exactly THIS young thank God, but many are encouraged to marry after finishing school/studies- and I don’t wish to down or be disrespectful to anyone’s culture and/or religious beliefs as long as they are not hurting anyone. Sadly, yes, Mama Hen knows child brides still exist today, and my heart hurts. That's a whole 'nother subject for another day. If you were wondering. I'm talking about consensual marriage.) So, in a nutshell, this is a work of complete fiction, just like AHS. Do some of these things happen in real life? Yes. It’s heartbreaking, but it’s not the end of the world. There are resources to help if you or someone you know is pregnant or if you think you are pregnant and need help. You have options. If you life in the United States you can go to your local Planned Parenthood for free testing, counseling about your options (this does NOT mean they are going to pressure you into having an abortion- this is a HUGE misconception!) they offer low cost or free health care to women needing it, including prenatal care. If you should decide that you are not ready to be a mother, they will treat you with dignity, and explain your options about abortion. Every woman no matter their age when pregnant deserves to be treated with compassion and dignity.

Lastly: These are works of fiction that we’re writing here, chicks, don’t take this stuff so serious. When I say don’t take it so seriously, I mean there are people who just freak the fuck out over it, and get bent out of shape. Don’t. Don’t do that. Don’t be losing sleep. Don’t be worrying about who hates on your work. Don’t be worrying about why someone doesn’t like you, or is talking shit about you, or this, that, or the other. Life is WAY too short, and there are far more important things to worry about. This is for fun. This is something to do in your down time when you’re able to. Tumblr is a great place to relax, and the #Millory fandom has been wonderful to meet others and make friends, ya’ll! There are some really great people who have been writing, sharing art, pictures, and so forth. Don’t let those who don’t like what you put forth get your feathers ruffled. If they don’t like #Millory, scroll right on past it. If they leave an ugly comment on your page, look to see if it’s constructive criticism, or just a hater/troll. If they’re leaving you something constructive, keep it in mind as something to think about. If it’s a troll, let it roll off your back. Delete. Block. Go on with your day. Ain’t nobody got time for that shit. I don’t, and I’m not dealing with it. It’s back to one of the things in the “Mama Hen’s Advice for a New Year”- Be Kind, But Take No Shit. Exactly. Be kind to all, but take no shit. Remember this. Am I saying that no one who writes here won't go on to be a writer, have published novels, screenplays, movies, a tv series? Absolutely not! Any one of you have limitless potential! I realize many write for fun, as stress relief, a creative outlet, or like me, it's just something they enjoy doing because their brains go fifty miles a minute, and it calms it a bit to write. Everyone has their reasons. Don't let someone discourage you, and remember if you wear your feelings on your sleeve when it comes to your writing it will bite you in the ass, I promise you. Over the years, I've had people leave me comments from hardass constructive criticism posts that were hard to swallow, I'll admit, BUT much needed, to just outright trolls meant to be bitchy. I can sniff them out now and just feel genuinely sorry for them, because I'm an empathetic person. Bottom line, don't get discouraged, or worked up over people's opinions here. That's all they are.

Let there be the timeless business of extreme propriety and limitless occupational vocations .. be it the early morning connections with the loved ones and the ones dear .. or be it the discussions of major situation on the future ..

Be it the anticipation and the hesitancy to face the reverse media meets as promised and suggested during the last such occasion at the Royal Opera House .. be it the campaign shoot for the Mumbai Police thereafter , there is little that one can escape from when time appropriation and commitment fall by your side aimlessly without any support of the pillars and edifices of large and immense presence ..

Rare are the conferences with the 4th Estate after the film has released, to discuss merits demerits and the like, in order to get an opportunity to be slashed by opinion to the contrary .. no it is not brave , it is the reason for improved conditions , breaking of barriers and above all the conditioning of fellow ‘hail fellow well met ..’ decisions which could leave many in tatters, but still give understanding for its normalisation ..

So the media reverse was the best way of inviting trouble by the door, but the intensity of the film and the remarkable role played by the supporting caste has been an even greater revolution .. they be not there, we be not there .. they sing bright so we can reflect in their brightness ..

THE MORE FORMAL attire behoves a moment when the very mass that enjoy the benefit of culture, language and tradition, get bogged by those that uniform society .. they are all deployed for safety and guidance and the keeping of the third eye over all proceedings .. they need respect and cooperation and respect of the value of their dignity .. they be the Police Force of this great city of Mumbai ... they be the quick response team and have been formally trained and put into severe conditions for the job to be done ..

So what if the more ‘chulbuly’ is the reticent, retired, away from all the ‘hullabaloo’, and they that wish to do more, they just appear and sit .. dazzled and destroyed, by your own .. until one retires to a feeling of ‘finished’ or when the Ef refers to a life of 150 years ..

This is quite a ridiculous thought .. I am not reserving any tramp deeds of revenge and violence and the lot .. I am reserving the soft lights of the darkened room .. the perfumed candle by the side .. a bunch of the ‘mogras’ surrounded by the traditional ‘kele ka patta ..’ and .. I ..

That is it .. the ‘I’ shall eventually be the rainfall light of immense propensity .. kit does not satisfy my instincts, by fulfillments of work done and many for the work not done seem to be the essentials .. and long may they think so .. and long may they be in doubt and wonder on its exercises .. wonder delivers desire to witness .. others, to just be about the event and some in brave contrast .. that is it .. that is it ..

Patron of Workers

Saint Joseph, you devoted your time at Nazareth to the work of a carpenter.

It was the Will of God that you and your foster-Son should spend your days together in manual labor.

What a beautiful example you set for the working classes!

It was especially for the poor, who compose the greater part of mankind, that Jesus came upon earth, for in the synagogue of Nazareth, He read the words of Isaiah and referred them to Himself:

'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor...'

(Luke 4:18).

It was God's Will that you should be occupied with work common to poor people, that in this way Jesus Himself might ennoble it by inheriting it from you, His foster-father, and by freely embracing it.

Thus our Lord teaches us that for the humbler class of workmen, He has in store His richest graces, provided they live content in the place God's Providence has assigned them, and remain poor in spirit for He said,

'Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven'

(Matt. 5:3).

The kind of work to which you devoted your time in the workshop of Nazareth offered you many occasions of practicing humility.

You were privileged to see each day the example of humility which Jesus practiced -- a virtue most pleasing to Him.

He chose for His earthly surroundings not the courts of princes nor the halls of the learned, but a little workshop of Nazareth. Here you shared for many years the humble and hidden toiling of the God-Man.

What a touching example for the worker of today!

While your hands were occupied with manual work, your mind was turned to God in prayer.

From the Divine Master, who worked along with you, you learned to work in the presence of God in the spirit of prayer, for as He worked He adored His Father and recommended the welfare of the world to Him, Jesus also instructed you in the wonderful truths of grace and virtue, for you were in close contact with Him who said of Himself, 'I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.'

As you were working at your trade, you were reminded of the greatness and majesty of God, who, as a most wise Architect, formed this vast universe with wonderful skill and limitless power.

The light of divine faith that filled your mind, did not grow dim when you saw Jesus working as a carpenter.

You firmly believed that the saintly Youth working beside you was truly God's own Son.

Saint Joseph, I thank God for your privilege of being able to work side by side with Jesus in the carpenter shop of Nazareth.

As a token of your own gratitude to God, obtain for me the grace to respect the dignity of labor and ever to be content with the position in life, however lowly, in which it may please Divine Providence to place me.

Teach me to work for God and with God in the spirit of humility and prayer, as you did, so that I may offer my toil in union with the sacrifice of Jesus in the Mass as a reparation for my sins, and gain rich merit for heaven.

Saint Joseph, I, your unworthy child, greet you. You are the faithful protector and intercessor of all who love and venerate you.

You know that I have special confidence in you and that, after Jesus and Mary, I place all my hope of salvation in you, for you are especially powerful with God and will never abandon your faithful servants.

Therefore I humbly invoke you and commend myself, with all who are dear to me and all that belong to me, to your intercession.

I beg of you, by your love for Jesus and Mary, not to abandon me during life and to assist me at the hour of my death.

ENVISAGING AND ENGENDERING AN OPEN WORLD: Chapter 3 of Fratelli Tutti

Human beings cannot find fulfilment apart from a sincere self-gift to others. We come to know ourselves from an encounter with others. We cannot experience the beauty of life without others. Without others, death prevails.

Love creates bonds and expands horizons. We are made for love – Law of ekstasis – going outside of self to find fuller existence in another. Not enough to limit relationships to immediate surroundings; history and the global situation influence me. “Authentic and true friendships can only take root in hearts open to growth through relationships with others.” Should cast aside the illusion of intimacy that comes with personal chats.

Without love, there is no virtue. There is only empty action disguised as virtue. The temperance of a greedy person is in no way virtuous – Augustine. Spiritual stature is measured by love. Some think that the value of life depends on spread of own ideology or violent defence of truth, or demonstrations of strength. To love is to move out of oneself and desire the good of the other. This comes from a sense of esteem for the other (grata) which leads one to make a free gift (gratis). Love is more than a series of benevolent actions. It should arise from a genuine appreciation and acceptance of the other and should aim at giving them the best they need. Only in this way will it be possible to have a social friendship that excludes no one and a fraternity that is open to all.

Any person who is in need, when abandoned and ignored by society becomes an existential foreigner. They might be citizens but treated as foreigners. Racism is a virus.

Hidden exiles – persons with disabilities. Should ensure their active participation in civil and ecclesial community. This will contribute to the formation of consciences capable of approaching each person as a PERSON. Elderly who can offer a unique contribution to common good through their remarkable life stories.

A love capable of transcending borders is the basis of what is called Social Friendship. Genuine social friendship makes true universal openness possible. Should not be confused with false UNIVERSALISM – people who travel all over but can’t get along with their own. Those who look down on their own people tend to create categories and classes leading to discrimination and violations of rights. Deny room to certain groups.

We cannot have Authoritarian or abstract Universalism devised by a small group and presented as the ideal for the sake of levelling, dominating and plundering. One model of globalization tries to eliminate all differences and traditions in a superficial quest for unity – claims to make everyone uniform, destroys the gifts of each person and culture. Ends up depriving the world of colours, beauty and humanity. The Future is not Monochrome. Harmony does not mean Uniformity!

People who walked by considered themselves important to the running of society and saw the ‘fallen man’ as an interruption of routine, a nobody with no effect on their future. The Good Samaritan transcended these narrow classifications. If one considers neighbour only those who serve their purpose loses the meaning of the word. They turn them into associates – partners in the pursuit of particular interests.

Fraternity does not breed in a climate of respect for individual liberty or legal equality. It calls for more. Without a drive for fraternity, liberty becomes a condition for living as one wants, possess and exploit. Doesn’t do justice to liberty.

It is the result of conscious and careful cultivation. Associates create closed worlds. The sum of individual interests is not capable of generating a better world. Cannot prevent ills of globalization. It is difficult to eliminate. Makes us believe that everything consists in giving free rein to personal ambitions as if by doing so we would serve the common good.

Social friendship and fraternity call for recognizing the worth of every person. This is basic principle of social life but is often ignored. Every person has right to live with dignity and develop integrally. This right remains even if people are unproductive or born with limitations. Dignity is not based on circumstances but on their intrinsic worth. If this principle is ignored, no hope for fraternity or survival of humanity.

Some societies accept this partially. They agree to equal opportunities but emphasis individuality. From this perspective it is foolish to invest in uplifting the slow, weak etc; it is unprofitable, less efficient. We need states and civil institutions that are present and active, that look beyond the free and efficient working of eco, pol, ideological systems and are primarily concerned with individuals and common good. (#108)

Some are born into wealth and opportunities. They don’t need a proactive state, they only need to claim their freedom. But it is not the same with the backward. If a society is governed by the criteria of market freedom and efficiency there is no place for such persons; fraternity remains a vague ideal.

To claim economic freedom while denying opportunities is hypocrisy. A truly human and fraternal society will be capable of ensuring in an efficient and stable way that each of its members is accompanied at every stage of life. Not only by providing basic needs but enabling them to give the best of themselves, even if their performance is less than optimum, pace slow or efficiency limited. (#110)

Human person with inalienable rights is by nature open to relationship. The call to transcend through an encounter with others is implanted within us. Today there is a temptation to claim individualistic rights – arise from concept of person detached from social and anthropological contexts, a monad, unconcerned with others. “Unless rights of each individual are harmoniously ordered to the greater good, those rights will end up being considered limitless and consequently will become a source of conflicts and violence.” (#111)

Working toward the common good also implies helping people and societies to mature in moral values that foster integral human development. Light-hearted superficiality has done us no good. Once the foundations of social life are corroded – battle of conflicting interests ensues. Leads to a life closed to transcendence and entrenched in individual interests.

Solidarity as a moral virtue and social attitude is born of personal conversion, calls for commitment for those responsible for education and formation. Families have primary mission of education. This is where the values of love, fraternity, togetherness, sharing, concern and care are learned. Also the milieu where faith is transmitted. Teachers should be conscious of their responsibility also over the moral, spiritual and social aspects of life. Communicators have responsibility for education and formation. (#114)

Appeal to solidity in a time where everything is disintegrating. This comes through a consciousness of being responsible for one another. Solidarity finds expression in service. It has many forms: vulnerable. Service is never ideological, for we do not serve ideas, we serve people.

The needy generally express solidarity with the poor and suffering. Solidarity is not viewed properly; biased. More than sporadic acts of generosity; it means thinking in terms of community. The lives of all are prior to appropriation of goods by few. Combatting structural causes of poverty, inequality, lack of work, land and housing, denial of social and labour rights. Confronting effects of empire of money. When viewed like this, it becomes a way of making history.

When we choose to act in ways that contribute to the conservation of the environment we show a moral attitude that allows us to care for those beyond ourselves.

The world belongs to everyone. Differences cannot be used to justify privileges. We have an obligation to ensure that every person lives with dignity and has sufficient opportunities for integral development.

Early Church – if one lacked, all lacked. John Chrysostom – not to share wealth is to rob the poor. Gregory the Great - we are giving the poor what belongs to them, not to us.

Christianity has never recognized the right to take private property as absolute or inviolable and has stressed the social purpose of all forms of private property. The principle of common use of created goods is the first of all ethical and social principles. However, we see that secondary rights displace primary rights and make them irrelevant.

Exclusion because of birthplace is wrong. Limits of states cannot prevent anyone from achieving a standard of living that is appropriate to human beings. Women’s rights/discrimination is unacceptable. Development must not result in wealth in hands of few. Right to free enterprise and market freedom cannot supersede the rights of people and dignity of poor or the environment. Business is a noble vocation directed to producing wealth and improving the world. Should help in development of others, eliminating poverty and creating jobs. Right to private property should be subordinate to the Universal destination of goods.

Each country belongs to the foreigner as much as the citizen. Goods of a state should not be kept from any needy person. USCCB – fundamental rights precede any society because they flow from the dignity granted to each person as created by God. If every human being possesses an inalienable dignity, if all people are my brothers and sisters, and if the world truly belongs to everyone, then it matters little whether my neighbour was born in my country or elsewhere. We need an ethics of international relations. Justice requires respecting individual as well as social rights. Foreign debt creates problems. Debt repayment many times fails to promote development. Need to handle better.

We need an alternative way of thinking. If we accept the principle of inalienable human dignity, we can envisage a new humanity. We can hope for equality for all. A real and lasting peace will only be possible on the basis of a global ethic of solidarity and cooperation in an atmosphere of interdependence and shared responsibility.

Klaine Advent - Limited

Summary: Kurt and Blaine’s daughter was graduating from high school and they could barely believe it.

Kurt and Blaine could hardly believe it. Tomorrow, their baby girl, their first born, Aspen Elizabeth was graduating from high school. And, to top it off, she was valedictorian.

“I can’t believe she’s graduating.” Kurt said to Blaine.

“Seems like only yesterday she was running around in her cinderella dress up clothes and getting whatever she wanted because she had us wrapped around her little finger.” Blaine replied.

“Well, she definitely had you wrapped around her little finger…”

“Oh please.” Blaine scoffed. “All she had to do was shed one tear and you cracked. Kurt gave his husband a glare before changing the subject.

“How do you think she’s doing on her speech?” Kurt asked.

“Only one way to find out.” Blaine added before heading towards the hallway and down to Penny’s room. They knocked on her bedroom door and found Penny pacing back and forth. “Hey honey, how’s it going?”

“Nothing I say sounds right.” Penny confessed. “It all sounds cliché.”

“You could always sing something like your dad did.” Kurt offered.

“No thank you.” Penny replied. “I may be both of your daughters and part Aunt Rachel, but performing is not my calling.” Both Kurt and Blaine were not surprised by their daughter’s answer. Though she had been cheeky and outgoing as a child, Penny mellowed out during her teenage years and really put her nose to the books. She had found a love for nursing and really wanted to get out and help people.

“Well, whatever you choose honey, it’ll be great.” Kurt told her as he pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Now, don’t stay up too late. Valedictorians shouldn’t have big bags under their eyes.”

“I’ll go to bed soon Papa. I promise.” Penny replied. Blaine walked over next and gave his daughter a hug and a kiss goodnight. Then, both men left Penny alone and prayed that she’d actually follow their advice and get some sleep.

The next morning, the Anderson-Hummel household was a buzz of energy as everyone scrambled to get ready. In addition to the seven people who lived in the house, Burt, Carole, Pam, Cooper and Rachel and Jesse had decided to come to the graduation. How they had managed to score thirteen tickets to graduation was a mystery that the world may never know.

“Penny, honey, we have to get going!” Kurt yelled down the hallway. The rest of the family was crowded in the living room. Penny came out of her room and she looked stunning. She was wearing a white dress that had a sheer piece of fabric over the top. Her hair was curled to perfection. She just looked beautiful...and so grown up.

“Oh Pen, honey, you look gorgeous.” Blaine replied.

“I need a picture!” Carole announced.

“Me too!” Pam said chiming in.

“Gram, Nana! We have to get going.” Penny exclaimed.

“Just a quick smile!” Carole said. They flashed a few photos and then headed to the cars to go to graduation.

When they got to the arena, all thirteen of them crowded into the stadium seats and waited for the ceremony to begin. Before they knew it the familiar sound of “Pomp and Circumstance” filled the arena and the graduates began to process in. Penny was leading the group and walked all the way up to the front stage and got to sit with the other speakers and teachers. Kurt and Blaine scrambled to take pictures. They were so proud of their daughter. The principal stood up first and began the ceremony. Then, there were a variety of other school officials that talked. Finally, it was Penny’s turn.

She stood up from her chair and took a deep breath before walking to the big wooden podium. “My fellow classmates, we’ve finally made it to the day that we’ve all been waiting for. Graduation Day. From the time I was a little girl, I always thought that I would be a performer like both of my dads or like my Aunt Rachel.” Kurt and Blaine looked at one another and then at Rachel. All three of them had tears in their eyes. “My house was always full of music and laughter. And if you know my family, there’s seven of us, so there’s always a little bit of chaos as well. You might think that my dads would have taught me how to be confident and find the spotlight...and to some degree they did. But, they taught me so much more. They taught me to care for others and step in for those who need help. They taught me about compassion and especially about love. They taught me to be honest and respectful. They taught me to shoot for my dreams. One thing they didn’t do was tell me that I would succeed. Success in life is not a guarantee. It’s not something that is handed to you, rather something that must be worked at. In life, you are not limited to the amount of success that you can attain. It all depends on how hard you’re willing to work for it. You can find that success in a spotlight on a stage or in the dignity of holding a patient’s hand during their worst time and make them feel just a little better. It doesn’t matter where your success is found. Just know that the possibilities are limitless and I have faith in each and every one of you that you will find just where you belong. Congratulations class of 2038. We did it!” Penny exclaimed. All the students in the audience threw their hats up in the air and the rest of the parents stood up and clapped. Kurt and Blaine could not have been more proud of their daughter. Penny was right. Her future was limitless and they both knew that she would find exactly where she belonged.

BASICS OF ISLAM : Cycle of life .Part2

In another respect, death is the time when one being resigns and hands over its affairs to its successor(s).

This is enacted in the sight of Him Who has sovereignty and dominion over all things. Each creature is charged with presenting itself in a unique parade before the presence of the One Who gave it existence. Just before its parade is over, and the picture or record of it made and stored, the parade of its successor(s) begins, which relieves the parade ground of sameness and refreshes the scene with new and active beings. Each being acts out its role and moves aside so that others may appear, act out their roles, and show their skills. The freshness, liveliness, beauty, and excellent diversity seen in creation is the result of these comings and goings.

Death also may be understood as silent advice, in the sense that nothing is self-existent.

In other words, nothing can survive by itself or has permanence. A fading and ultimately dead light indicates a source of light that is unfailing and eternal. For those who grieve and complain about the transience and perishing of all things, this is a good lesson on how to mature and attain true happiness. Whatever or whoever captivates our hearts will leave us one day, which causes us to yearn for an eternal being to love and to be loved by. In our transient world, such a yearning is the first stage of moving toward or attaining eternity. Death is the mysterious uplifter that raises people to that dignity.

Given this, we can liken death to a healing hand, one that nurses to full health, that hurts us only as a doctor would hurt us: by giving a necessary inoculation or lancing, rather than a grim sword or sickle laying everything to waste. Considering death as a merely utilitarian way of making room for new generations is mistaken, for death is not absolute annihilation or extinction. Rather, what disappears does so only from within the horizons of our limited understanding, for the identity of every particular (as form and idea) continues to exist in our memories, in the Preserved Record, and in God's all-encompassing knowledge. They also exist in different dimensions and in realms beyond those dimensions, beyond corporeal understanding. For example, seeds and flowers bloom and die, but their identity as form and idea continues in the many seeds and flowers that will bloom after them.

Consider the subject from another angle.

If there were no death, would we not live in a hell of unrelieved terror as we faced an endless existence without a break or relief?

How could we measure the worth or value of anyone or anything, conserve or concentrate our energy, make or carry out an intention, if time was limitless?

If such a situation existed, those who now mourn the fact of transience and death would mourn their absence. Moreover, we would not experience creation's inexhaustible variety, with all the prompts and images it gives to the human mind of beauty, freshness, and loss with renewability. How, in the absence of such a panorama of novelty within stability, could the human mind be inspired to contemplate that which lies beyond and sustains the visible world? How could we seek and worship the One who creates and provides for the whole.

Let's deal with the subject from a different angle.

If everything depended on life instead of death, if beings continued to live through calamities, and if all events and life followed one direction forever, what could have happened? What could happen mean?

How much of the Earth's enthralling beauty and splendor could be seen with such a huge number of ivy plants and ants?

What would this world, created to exhibit the splendor and magnificence of His art, be if such a situation prevailed?

How could we witness the power, might, knowledge, and grace of the Creator and Owner of this world?

The absence of death also would give rise to another problem: The magnificent wisdom and order in the rule of this universe shows that nothing in it was created in vain.

The Absolute Owner of the physical and spiritual domains creates the most worthwhile things out of what may appear to us the most worthless, making the valueless into the priceless. New and excellent creations is engendered from the cells serving as bodily forms for His servants, especially those making up the human souls that God has recalled and holds in His realms. If the bodies, which He valued so highly that He "breathed" human souls in them, were allowed to decompose into nothing, the Creator's Omniscient Wisdom would be contradicted. Any such notion is absolutely contrary to His Divine Honor, and so cannot be entertained.

In conclusion, all of creation, its balance and order, the control and administration by which its complex harmonies are sustained, is so magnificent that it inspires all people whose hearts and minds are open to the beauty and pleasure around them.

The dividing, combining, and moving of atoms; the growth of plants and trees; the gushing of rivers to the sea; the oceans' expanse, grandeur, and incalculable power; the evaporation of salt water and its return as life-giving rain—everything races ardently from one stage to another, higher and better.

What a universe this is! See how restless it makes our minds! The miracles of the All-Mighty parade before my eyes. What Truth spreads out from the heavens is the heavens' smiling:

Veils of His light in glorious varieties of color and shade In the grass, the sea, the mountains, the spring morning! Born in such a world, longing to be a poet is only natural.
