Seb in the Blue suit and white shirt combo is soo similar to Chris at an event last year! Right down to similar shades of blue and both sitting in white chairs (if I remember correctly) I love my matching boys!

Ooohh I *think* I know what event you mean, but I don't recall a white chair at the one I'm thinking of, so maybe you mean a different one? We don't have many good, full body pics of Chris from the event I've got in mind, but from the ones we do have, it looks like Chris's suit was a little less deep blue, but it otherwise was definitely a very similar outfit! ok since a couple people were wondering in the tags I'll explain where I referenced Sokka and Yue's outfits from here under the cut :]

for Sokka I mostly referenced Aleut/Alutiiq/Unangan clothes (think Aleutian Islands, Alaska, Northwest Coast - thereabouts)

for Yue I referenced Haida/Tlingit/Northwest Coast clothes, specifically this gorgeous apron and shawl combo from the Stonington Gallery which u should soooo check out. I chose this inspo for Yue cus A) its gorge and B) there were like clearly Northwest inspired Totem Poles at the Northern Water Tribe so I wanted to include that element in my pre-uni designs instead of just Mongolian/Siberian elements (which I do loooove seeing in Yue fanart btw iykyk)

as with like. ALL of my atla fashion art I've clearly taken extreme creative liberties with the clothes, because essentially they're fantasy setting clothes and I'm not gonna act like they're not lol. you should def research Northwest Coast clothing if you're into clothes like I am tho because there's plenty of historical resources and modern artists out there

there’s a digital closet app that you upload you wardrobe to so it’s easier to make outfits. i loooove it so much.

my room is pretty small so whenever i would try out different outfit combos, i would create a giant mess. now i don’t have that problem anymore.

ALSO it tells you what you wear most often and clothes you should wear more or give away. There’s also an AI feature that will create outfits for you. I LOVE!!!! it’s called ACloset.

I'd go with a classic red and navy blue for the royal vibes, and its the red bull colours (for maxiel) but also its the red bull colours.... so we go with purple, It's my favourite colour, so every sash/coat/cloak/jacket shall be in a loooovely pruple. Whiiiiiich in turn works with yellow, like a nice warm golden yellow as an accent colour. Every court member shall have their own little accent colour too (the combo of deep purple and ice blue FUCKS HARD i need to put it in somewhere). Silver is also my jewellery colour so we gottaaaaa have silver, and gold bits ofc ofc. furry helmet 🫵

Woooowwwiiiee i loooove these! Brilliant combo of gen 1 and 3 elements plus cool monster features, they look so awesome w short hair!! I especially love Draculaura here, in a distinctly unique outfit that is still clearly classic vampire vibes mixed w her cutesy vibes, and Frankie w both blue AND green skin and this clear handsome square build i love that :D but fr i love all of them and u draw anatomy sooo nice they look fantastic!!!

I could talk about the comparison of these two outfits forever. perhaps my favorite costume design moment ever??? the costume, hair, and makeup departments deserve emmys for this look alone

2. maddy's winter formal outfit

like what is there even to say!!!!!! i love every inch of it and it's just quintessential maddy. nobody could rock this outfit like alexa demie does

3. jules's new year's outfit

love the new hair debut, and just love the creativity of this outfit. really all of jules's outfits are so creative and i love it

4. lexi's plaid dress

love lexi's miu miu moments!!!!!! and i loooove the symbolism with it, plus she just looks so incredible

5. bbl pants

how could I not 🫠 we were right to say she put on her best fit to go see her man! i love this outfit from head to toe!!!!

This is such a cute outfit. I love the top, I don't know what kind of design that is, but I love how it fits with that flowy skirt. Charlotte wore a lot of denim skirts, I think to contrast with the other girls' outfits, and this is a really cute, happy medium.

The Great British Sewing Bee Episode 4

It's International week!

First up is the Pattern Challenge and they need to make a Breton Top.

It looks nice and easy but I don't think it will be - pattern matching on stretch with straight lines? No thanks.

We've got some nice history of the top which I love - I would listen to a fashion history podcast for suuuure.

Raph and Damien both trying to pattern match the stripe on the placket which.... noooooo. I'm okay with Damien fucking up but Raph, please!! You are my final 3!

Adam did his backwards :( AND he only got two of the three buttons... He had a wee cute moment where he says

"If this was a ship it would be the Titanic an what I need is the Carpathia."

Which made me think about that great post about it!

Farie isn't going to finish in time.... AGAIN.

Adam (1st in line) didn't match his stripes and his placket is wrong... :(

Rebecca (2nd in line) put her placket on the wrong side!! Noo!!

Andrew (3rd in line) did so well - a lovely top but the neck was a lil wonky.

Raph (4th in line) mucked up the placket and neck.

Damien (5th in line) also mucked up his neck.

Farie (6th in line) didn't finish.... again.

Serena (7th in line) did great - I personally think it's the best.

Cathryn (8th in line) got her hems caught in the overlocker which actually made me wanna cry cause I've done that same thing so many times and it's utterly heartbreaking when it's in the HEM when you've finished everything else. (her matching was wonky too)

Adeena (9th in line) picked a lovely fabric but her placket wasn't the best.

Winner is: Serena!! with Andrew in Second!! (and Damien 3rd....)

The Made-To- Measure Showstopper!

Models are back - Ladies outfit inspired by Frida Kahlo. I like the idea of it - the patterns and also it's nice to see her highlighted. Loads of people are using her paintings for inspiration.

Everyone seems to be struggling with time a little.

Farie is distressing a strip of brocade to show 'the broken column' and... just what a great idea. Def the most modern of them all and a great puff sleeve and a statement bow that I love. I wouldn't wear it personally but I think it's the best of the lot. She's won garment of the week, which is no shock. She's gone from not finishing for two weeks and winning GOTW for two weeks!

Andrew - It's a nice idea, and I love that he took the time to add machine embriodery, but the overall look is terrible! He got a wee bit upset at the end as he feels he's got more to show. I agree!

Cathryn has such a great theme - she's using lace to cover up a Russian pattern to show Fridas supposed affair with Trotsky. I think that is so clever and love the idea of it. I liked her dress but the main comment was that the lace covered the pattern and I have to agree. Good sewing on the dress though

Damien paints and he's half decent. I was a wee bit meh over his idea of using lace as eyebrows but actually it looks half decent. I want to like him but I just can't!! He's always managed to have a showstopper I love, but there is a feeling I just cannot shake! Great fit, and a boned top - but the overall look seems a bit...blah. Def doesn't stand out as a showstopper at all.

Raph - I loooove this colour and style. He's matched his pleats which looks so amazing.

Serena - I'm not so keen on this personally but the sewing is amazing on it.

Adeena - She didn't quite finish I think, but her mashing of south Asia and Frida is lovely. Its not hemmed and there is a pin in the waist. Sucks because the idea was so personal to her.

Rebecca - I like the idea but there is something about the waist that I don't like - for a made to measure, using an elasticated waist seems... meh.

Adam - A white and embroider jumpsuit - I love it from the front but the back was a bit of a mess. What a shame.

Going home is: Cathryn. Her wee goodbye was really heartfelt and I'm going to miss her a lot. She felt like a lot of fun to know and always was laughing.

as long as i can remember! but if i had to put years to it.. maybe since uh. i was 4? so... 18 years give or take?? whoa. I've always been the "artist" of the family, n at least im the only one who's actually following through beyond sketching (im minoring in drawing, painting, n printmaking. aka traditional art)

i loooove to draw hair and fashionable outfits. hair textures n hairstyles are so great to experiment with (bonus if its long and Fluffy) n fashion's one of my big interests so i love findin new ways to draw different clothes n color combos. i have a big affection for street fashion n mori fashion

people from the back (if im not using a reference) and legs. i have a love hate relationship with legs. i never really know how to pose em, but the curves to draw em are fun.....

AHHHHHH thank you for sending this in!! i’ve seen a few of your things before but never got a proper look at your whole portfolio so i’m glad i got the chance to now! ♥ - i LOOOOVE the colors on these. the texture on the top two blend so well into it and makes it feel like a print!!! i love how the blue crystals makes the pink really pop without being too bright, and the way the orange in the plant photo brings out the orange in the rug in moonbyul’s picture. and omgg the lockscreens! i love LOVE that translucent white texture you placed on top because it perfectly frames the photo of moonbyul in the middle and guides your attention there. also all the little “stickers” and elements ARE SOOOO CUTE. i especially love how the goldfish, flowers, and lineart are all orange/yellow colors because it complements the blue so nicely, and also they all fit so well together even though they’re like unrelated items haha. it’s whimsical and cute!! also i am a huge sucker for pink/turquoise combos, so the left set is so [chef’s kiss.] ♥ - THIS WHOLE SERIES IS SO CUTE!! i’m linking minghao’s in particular because i love how the photo you used of the lamp has basically the exact same structure as minghao’s picture hdfdfdssd. also i’m just gonna gush about how you colored it because it looks so dreamy and romantic?? you really brought out the browns in minghao’s picture but in a way that’s soft and subtle and maintains the integrity of the original picture. ALSO THE WORD AND THE DEFINITIONS ARE MINGHAO EXACTLY??? it’s so good!! definitely gonna be saving these and reblogging them right after i finish this post haha. ♥ - and i’m linking another minghao set bc i’m BIASED. but also again bc these are so cute and you colored them sooo nicely. like omg i’m in love with how you made the skies look overcast!!! and also the lower exposure/contrast/brightness the browns again come out so nicely brings all the adjustments together so well. LOVE THE WAY YOU LAID THE FLOWERS BORDERING MINGHAO’S PICTURE and the way they add warmth to balance everything out. the bokeh, and also the text overlay on the right lockscreen, are really cute. the transparency on them feels JUST right because it’s enough for me to see it and appreciate it, but not too opaque that i feel like it takes away from the overall picture! ♥ - linking this china line set bc.. . i’m biased... but also bc it’s SO fun to look at. the translucent orange and blue squares feel like they’re, again, placed JUST right. they help bring the audience’s attention to the main subjects and guide you through the whole piece in a logical order. i love how the printed text cuts off where the squares are, and also the way you layered the blue square on top of junhui but underneath minghao. i love it when elements “cut” into pictures like that. the gradient maps on the circular portraits of junhao!! so nice and they really pop out prettily on the monochrome background! (on a semirelated note, the color palette reminds me of the album art of f(x)’s 4 walls, the deep and vivid orange and blue!) ♥ - wooowww these gifs are SO nice!! i love how you colored it, muting/toning down the other “unnecessary” colors but with the orange/red (claws, solar’s lips) and the purple (outfits) still popping out! it like really helps you watch these scenes as like a whole rather than letting your eyes wander to other details, if that makes sense. (for example, one of the dancer’s bright neon yellow earring in the mv was a lil distracting HAHA). the timing and the pacing of the gifs also feel perfect, like i don’t feel like it was cut off too soon or not soon enough, and it wasn’t too fast or too slow!
