Lion AU

This AU would be like "What if the Yin-yang brothers were lions".

From what I remember, male lions, many of them have a brother along with each other.

In this AU the Yin-yang brothers would be: Azure and his brother Wei-Li.

The two are twin brothers with one difference: their hair has a different color from each other, One had black hair and the other didn't.

In this AU, the two brothers end up separated as children and move on with their lives(but they haven't forgotten each other).

Wei-Li(20 years old) was on a journey and on this journey he met Xin(21 years old), a polar bear who ended up moving away from her home on a glacier, Wei-Li and Xin became friends for a while and their friendship ended up turning into love, when the two discovered their love for each other they started dating and a year later they got married.

A few years passed and they had a boy, their baby, They named him Willy.

Willy is a lion with white fur and has the same powers as his mother (ice powers).

5-year-old(Almost 6) Willy lost his relatives because of an ice accident, he began to be afraid of his own powers, Willy decides to look for his uncle(Azure), his only living relative.

On this little journey Willy meets Feng a phoenix who is lonely because he never got to meet his parents, Feng and Willy were friends and the two go looking for Willy's uncle.

I think at first they think Wukong is joking and then Mac pulls up and is like no, we are having a baby and they're like 🤯🤯

Peng has beef with MK, and I'd make that into a whole other plot line if only I weren't flooded already with the og plot lmao, big bird has had beef with the kid since he was a baby and punched him through the wall

Yellow Tusk is just vibing, he's one of MK's professors so they both chill

Azure is complicated, there's an ask that'll answer this more in depth but I wanna draw some for it, but long story short before MK's birth as much as Shadowpeach was married the court was still unanimously against it since they had people up and ready to take the empress/consort position for their benefit,, y'know like actual politics, and one of the runner ups was Azure since he was the most likely to actually get the position until *vine boom* Macaque pulls up expecting a child which firmly cements him in his position. So now Azure is left playing the role of Uncy Lion and trying to gain the favor of the heir in case he gets another chance to take the position there is some kind of favor

My poor king prefers suffering alone than trying to replace Macaque (a fun lil juicy plot point from Mac to be guilty for later teehee)

Anybody ever think about how much pain Mei seemed to be in when she had the samadhi fire? Do you think redson felt that pain? Even as a baby? I know he has fire resistance but, it’s not regular fire, it’s strong enough to tear wholes in space. Do you think that’s why he was hitting himself, something, anything to distract him from the searing pain? Do you think that’s way he passed out immediately after being separated from it? Because he couldn’t sleep he was in so much pain? That for the first time in his little life, he was finally resting? How he probably couldnt communicate how much he was hurting? He couldn’t speak, all he did with laugh and then make a noise before sleeping in his father’s palm.

Did you know that babies can’t laugh before four months, and that’s human babies. Sometimes when a younger baby is ‘laughing’ it’s actually a noise that closely resembles laughter but is actually caused by pain? Plus laughter is a learned behavior, we are taught to actually laugh and therefore everyone laughs differently.

Redson is a baby CACKLING, when put in this perspective, his cackles to me sound even more like misunderstood cries of desperation and pain.

Redson may be a fire demon, but this isn’t some wildfire. Redson says it himself, it’s an indestructible weapon that can burn holes in reality, if it can harm reality that badly, what do you think Redson was going through? He was probably barely able to comprehend his own pain.

Baby MK meets the brotherhood

As I said Azure Lion would love to meet lil MK, and Yellowtusk would too. Yellowtusk wouldn’t volunteer to watch MK but he’d be that uncle that would bring him little gifts or money whenever he saw him. Peng doesn’t like little MK, and little MK doesn’t like Peng. The feelings are mutual and they keep their distance from one another.

First off, love this AU so much (honestly it's just nice seeing shadowpeach be happy) thank you.

Secondly, has MK ever met and/or interacted with the rest of the brotherhood, and if so, what are his thoughts?

He’s definitely met them before, they are part of his dad’s court.

As for their relationship, I think I’m just gonna leave that to when I get to those points of the story in the comic, but I’ll give a brief summary

DBK: Loves that guy, would say one of his favorite uncles but like too many people would jump DBK to win the title. Has always been part of his life so he is very close with the guy. DBK would sometimes take Red Son and MK fishing when they have time, happens more often once MK starts living more in the mortal realm. They’re like this🤞trust

Yellow Tusk: MK has had him as a teacher for various different topics growing up, he loves that no matter what he asks Yellow Tusk always answers with the most sincerest voice and even gives logical answers to his questions even if they are supposed to be silly. Loves the guy would recommend as a teacher 10/10👍

Peng: Bird Man, bit him once did not taste like chicken😔 0/5 stars on yelp,,, he has a deep distrust with the guy because of the way he has seen him disrespect Macaque, though he learned what silent revenge was from his Mom that day, when Peng walked into the court room a few hours later with half his feathers burned to a crisp, and his mom was trying hard not to laugh and had a smug smile. Mom=1, Bird Man=0

Azure: this is one is complicated, and this is coming from me as the writer, I’m still not set with how I will write Azure in the Au, whether that is just as a side character or and antagonist of kinds. Definitely won’t be the main antagonist but I do like how his character is complex in canon, so I’m heavy debating rn. But for now assume MK’s view of him is complicated, he just can’t put his finger on it.

Anyways that’s all I can say for now😌✌️

I neeeeeeeddddddd to know how these two heal after the divorce arc! do those "bigger cracks" in their relationship get patched up? does Macaque grow to better understand the political position Wukong was in (his reason for staying emperor)? do they learn how to communicate finally? what does their "happy ending" look like, a domestic life on FFM with many adopted kids? who gets pissed about the change of leadership, do they try and give the monkeys grief? is Wukong ever able to get more approval from his in-laws, considering leaving behind the throne (among many other gestures he gives Macaque to "repay" him) is a pretty big commitment?

(no pressure to reveal things, I just REALLY loooovveeee the Heavenly Emperor AU and am dying to know how the future goes for these silly little monkeys)

Giving Mac a chance to really become a person before he feels he can come back into something with Wukong and Wukong finally letting go of needing to protect and repay him is something I think they needed before they could settle and finally work on their life and family-

Yeah that’s the gist really- again it’s more a rp prompt for me 😅
