If you’re not cool with violence in metaphors and poetic expressions of my inner self then you litterally don’t deserve me. If you don’t let me bite you while dreamily reminiscing about cannibalism then you don’t love me. To want the viscera of another out on display is as vulnerable and gentle of a desire as nudity, and just as consent is important in one, it is important in the other. Tear yourself open for me so I can allow my eyes to rest on what makes you up, allow my touch to send electricity through your nervous system unlike ever before. Tell me - what is the difference between pain and love? Where there is sensual touching and tender restraint, it isn’t inherent either, but both. To softly trace the wounds that you could expand on, only to allow the warmth to fester through the cold. Tell me tell me.. is there anything more honourable than being brought to half consciousness by another, what difference if it’s through intercourse or through agonising actions brought on behalf of thought of love and care. In lieu of any better explanation, we poets resort to the thing you most fear - macabre and the grotesque. If you can’t handle the percievable pain you could experience, then neither are you ready for the pain of a relationship. To be fair with yourself is to allow both to exist in equilibrium. And just as one is a virgin physically, a phenomenon to form the concept of being untouched by another with such intentions, does not mean you’re immune. But rather, just as some haven’t yet been exposed to sexual acts (and for the better), some have never begun to understand the peak of connotations that the consequence of violence can bring on. I am not speaking through a fetish nor a desire but a lack of better explanation- an asexual cannibal. the romance is not from the pain itself but the tenderness and tension it shows without irreversible consequences. The connnection that forms is more beautiful than any love letter because it’s through sheer raw unfiltered fight that we love, and the light that’s within is no different than the scorching sun nor the sweltering flame, despite both giving out the heat you so crave. This is not to excuse abuse, as such a game is dangerous to play with the belief that all intend well. through kisses and hugs can become just as suffocating as pain, and yet, sometimes people just express differently. And who are you but to deny them the right to fanaticise? Admit discomfort, yes, for you have a fight to receive the love you want even if it’s through another.
