It was so quiet.

It was tempting, after that ambush, to close his eyes just for a moment and rest. But Link knew that he couldn't. Colin’s face still swam above him, his small hands grasping at Link desperately. He was talking, but Link couldn’t understand what he was saying anymore. It took all of his strength just to keep breathing, and even that simple task was quickly becoming more than he could bear.

He wasn't afraid to die.

He’d accepted it long ago. Cheating death may have been in the hero’s description, but he’d already had more than his fair share of close calls. It was only inevitable that it’d catch up with him eventually. Midna-....

He truly wouldn't ever get to see her again, would he? Maybe she'd already made her peace with that, but he never had been able to. No matter how futile, a part of him had always stubbornly held on to the hope that someday, he’d be able to see her again. He missed her so much. He wondered if she missed him, too. Did she ever think about him? Did she wonder if he was okay, too?

Colin was talking again. Colin… he’d come a long way from the scared kid he used to be. He was older now, and so brave, and Link was so so proud of him.

He’d be okay without him.

So back in the Early Access Days of yore, our dream visitor wasn't our guardian, they were 'who we dream of at night' and very strongly implied to be the tadpole in our skull; and in the internal game files, they had a name they were called by, not their canonical name but still something that the files used to refer to them

Now, times have changed, and our dream visitor ended up quite a bit different from the original concept; but regardless, with all of this in mind, I personally believe that we as a community should refer to the Emperor as ✨️Daisy✨️
