OOUWT x TNMN - P2, "Road Tricked, P2"
"Grq'w jr jhqwoh lqwr wkdw jrrgqljkw."
"Udjh rq djdlqvw wkh gblqj oljkw."
Stephanie had to stop herself from panicking. She had tried to text her mother and father but she suddenly had no signal. If there was anything worse than being in this situation it was most certainly her parents not knowing she was in it. "I refuse to stay here." Sylvestre, one of the twins, walked over to the door of the bus and attempted to push it open. Martin made his way to the wheel, attempting to turn the bus to a stop but to no avail. In fact, they were instead shunted to the back of the bus by an unknown force.
Stephanie cranked her neck 180 degrees to make sure she saw that right. The woman beside her and the woman sitting across from her also turned their heads. "Aye, did you see that?" The woman sitting across from her asked. Stephanie took in her odd appearance and singular fang sticking out of her mouth.
"Uh, yeah." Stephanie said, a little shaken up. The brunette next to her looked a bit uncomfortable. "So..there is something actually supernatural here." She stated. "I was hoping this shit was just on autopilot.."
"Me too." Stephanie said in a shaky voice, turning around again. A blonde man and woman were helping the fallen persons before some bruises started forming.
"Whatever the hell that was, it doesn't want us leavin' til we get to our location." Stephanie noted. "Bloody hell!" The fanged redhead said, throwing her arms up. "That's just great ain't it?"
"I assume we'll be here for a good while, so I guess we should introduce ourselves. I'm Abigail." The brunette said. Stephanie finally noticed her slight heterochromia. "Uh, Stephanie." Stephanie Rudboys.
"Fiona Orbit, nice to meet you. Sorry we had to meet this way." Fiona scratched her neck nervously.
Martin forced himself up with a huff, already feeling a headache coming on. "God, I maybe shouldn't have done that." "Don't worry, "the blonde woman who lifted him up told him, "I would've done the same thing. My name's Winnie Taylor. What's yours?"
"Martin…uh, Martin Bubbles." Martin said sheepishly, making an effort to try and keep his deviated eye closed. Sylvestre opened his eyes and was immediately greeted with the presence of a blonde male standing above him. "Are you okay?" Sylvestre jumped, his beautiful eyes not used to the sight of a commoner.
"I believe I'll live." He said, gently pushing the man away and dusting himself off. He caught the sight of his brother laughing his ass off and scoffed. "How foolish. This is no laughing matter, Elois." Elois just waved him off and continued chuckling.
"I don't think I've seen you around before. What's your name?" The blonde who lifted him up asked, making him turn his head in offence. He was about to start ranting, but remembering the situation he was in figured it wasn't worth it. "Oh, forget it. Sylvestre." He strutted back to his seat.
Winnie walked over, giving the man a small smile. "I see you've already made a new friend, Donovan." The man turned his head away in embarrassment. "Oh shut up. You are not humorous."
"Well, it ain't like I had anythin' else interestin' planned for this summer. Ma mom won't be too happy, though." Stephanie huffed. Putting her head back down. "How much longer 'til we get to this place anyway?"
"It's been an hour an' it's already around 4:30. I'm sure we'll get there soon." Fiona said, putting a hand on her shoulder. Stephanie smiled a bit, feeling relieved she wasn't alone. "Thanks."
"Are you guys hungry?" Abby asked, opening her bookbag to reveal a whole ass buffet inside. Stephanie and Fiona blinked. "So that's why ya had that thing..and also why it was so heavy." Fiona put her hands together and pointed them at Abby. "Damnit, Abigail. "You promised you'd cease this big back behavior."
Abby shrugged. "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." Fiona groaned. "Fine. Steph, scoot over a bit."
Chris was sleeping next to Helga, who was already on edge. When she opened her eyes, Helga looked extremely uncomfortable. "What's the problem? What happened?" Chris questioned drowsily, wiping sleep from her eyes and drool from her mouth. "We might be dead, Chris." Helga said, in almost a whisper.
"WHAT??"
Soon, just as it became evening, the bus pulled to a stop in front of a camp. Everyone stared at the wooded area uncomfortably. It looked well managed, which was very odd for something in the middle of nowhere.
"Oh God, this is just great." Fiona threw her hands up once again in defeat. "We're fucking cooked." Stephanie and Abby exchange awkward glances towards each other and then back at the campsite.
"Oh thank goodness it's just a camp." Helga said, falling back into her seat with a sigh of relief. "Yeah, in the middle of nowhere. Where no one will be able to find us." Albertine piped up, causing the woman to tense up again.
"Don't scare her, Albertine." Robertine said softly, looking slightly miffed. "I'm just stating the obvious." Chris made an effort to awkwardly comfort Helga, which was working to an extent as she had calmed down significantly. The doors of the bus suddenly opened.
"There is no way in hell I'm stepping off of this bus." Nacho confessed with a scoff. "Not into some shady territory I'm not." The floors of the bus suddenly began to slide. "Doesn't look like we have much of a choice." Frances said nervously, clinging onto him. Everyone suddenly slid to the front of the bus before being pushed out the doors.
Sylvestre huffed. "Rude." Elois glared at him. "Quit moaning."
An older looking unknown woman shuffled to the entrance of the camp, giving them a wide welcoming grin.
"Hi there! Welcome to Camp Mitos!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Decided to include some other talented folks such as
Fiona - @astrofinnie
Donovan/Delphine and Winnie/Winston - @coquettesophie
Chris - @jayceeartz
Gosh I wonder who this wonderful woman is and who will be the first to go..guess we won't find out until P3, "Camp Cramp."
sorry if this was so long btw, I needed to put as much of RT2 as possible before moving over to Camp since the drive would've been long as hell anyway.

______
(The next day)
Remus was attempting to make Grimmauld Place somewhat more presentable. He had been “trying” for the past day while Sirius followed him around offering an oily rag and match to “just burn the damned place down” but Remus knew this was the best place for the meetings (Whether Sirius agreed or not).
“You would think that little prince Regulus would have taken care of this rat hole.”
Remus sighed and looked up finally having enough. While he didn’t blame Sirius in the slightest about being moody when it came to being locked up in Grimmauld Place…being a total pain in the ass wasn’t doing anyone any favors.
“Sirius, behaving like this isn’t doing anyone any good. Regulus and Y/n have their own lives apart from this place. They didn’t live here. Your parents did.”
Sirius scowled. He knew that he was being stubborn however, with all of the shit that had gone wrong in his life being stubborn was the least of his worries.
“Right, he was too busy stealing my girl and my kid.”
Remus put down the bottle of cleaner at that and turned around. He was willing to listen to many things, but Sirius dragging you through the mud wasn’t one of them. Remus was the one friend that came to your wedding to Regulus. He was the “one friend” that supported you through everything in your life. While he didn’t always care for Regulus, Remus knew that Regulus was the one thing that made you happy so that was enough for him.
Regarding Abby, Remus was ready to fight on that one. Neither Regulus nor yourself had to take the child in but you did. The two of you stepped up when no one else would. Remus had considered offering to take Abby but he knew that there was no way that he could financially support a child. Regulus and yourself could…and you did.
“Do you want me to bitch slap you or something?”
Remus asked making the expression on Sirius’ face fall. The cocky brooding man had been replaced by one that knew he was about to receive a Remus Lupin ass chewing.
“Uh…do I have a choice?”
Remus ran a hand through his hair before taking a deep breath.
“Y/n hasn’t been your girl since you left her for Abby’s mother. Regulus has been nothing but good to Y/n. They love each other and I swear to Merlin if you try to mess with them I will kick you in the balls myself then hold you down while Regulus does it. Just so you know the little brother is bigger than the big brother now. Who cares if it's only by a little, Regulus will kill you with a smile on his face when it comes to Y/n. Sirius, you need to be thankful that they took care of Abby from the get-go. They didn’t have to. She wasn’t their baby but that didn’t matter to them. It speaks wonders of Y/n’s character that she would agree to raise her ex-boyfriend’s child from the whore that he cheated on her with but what do I apparently know? I think that you owe Regulus and Y/n both a few thousand thank yous.”
Sirius looked like a child that had been scolded and put into the naughty corner. While he realized that he would have to address the issue of “Abby” with Regulus at some point…that didn’t mean that he wanted to. Sirius didn’t want to look at the smug expression on Regulus’ perfectly sculpted little face as Sirius gave him some “thank you for tending to my child while I was locked up” speech.
“Yeah, maybe I do but that doesn’t mean that I have to be happy about it.”
Remus shook his head.
“You can really be impossible sometimes. You got to meet your daughter, who reminds me of your brother, and you aren’t the least bit thankful that he fed her and kept a roof over her head?”
Sirius was silent again for a moment. God damn, he hated admitting that Remus was right. If it hadn’t been for Regulus and yourself, Sirius would have had no clue what would have happened to Abby. He hated thinking, even more, about how Abby really did remind him of Regulus. She had the same cold eyes that made Sirius wonder what was really going on behind them. There was also the fact that she looked strangely like Walburga as a child.
While Sirius was beyond thankful to finally meet Abby and Harry in person…it was also a cruel reminder that he had missed nearly all of their lives. He had missed it all. From Abby’s first steps up until her starting school and thankfully being sorted into Gryffindor. Regulus, however, had been there for all of it.
“Remus, can you stop making sense at the moment? I want to bitch.”
Remus rolled his eyes before returning back to work.
“Well, get it out of your system because Regulus and Y/n will be here soon. I personally don’t want to hear it and neither does Y/n or anyone else for that matter. Now make yourself useful and go clean something.”
Remus tossed a cleaning bottle over his shoulder before stomping into another room to give his poor mind peace.
(Two hours later)
You stood outside Grimmauld Place, holding onto Regulus’ hand. Neither of you had moved in some time. The last time that either of you had been into Grimmauld Place was when Walburga died. Neither of you had wanted to go back. For Regulus, it was the knowledge that he could let his hellish childhood go and truly “be free.” For yourself, it was seeing Regulus finally “come alive.” He no longer had to be the perfect son that his parents had expected him to be. Regulus could no be himself.
You had a sinking feeling that being back in Grimmauld Place would bring out the worst in your husband. Looking at his face, you could see the disgust with being back here.
“Too bad we didn’t burn this place down when we had the chance.”
Regulus muttered. He knew that he had been in a foul mood from the moment that Kreacher came to wake the two of you up. Regulus felt even worse that you were probably having a shift fest of a morning because of him. He had spent hours the previous night brooding on whether or not seeing Sirius again would awaken old emotions that you once held for his older brother. It seemed like when he finally went to sleep it was time to wake right back up.
“Reg, it will be okay, love.”
You said, hoping to sound comforting. The look on Regulus’ face made your heartache. You knew his worry. He didn’t even have to say it for you to know. Regulus was worried about you developing feelings for Sirius and once again Regulus would be shoved out. He always felt like the “second choice” and he didn’t want to feel that way again.
“One can only hope.”
Regulus grumbled. You took a breath before moving to stand in front of your husband. You wrapped your arms around Regulus’ neck and pressed a series of kisses to his cheek.
“Regulus, I want you to listen to me and hear me. I love you. Seeing Sirius again isn’t going to do anything or change anything. When he and I broke up, it was done. I wasn’t staying with someone that cheated on me. That’s when you came along and fixed everything. I’m with you because I love you. I don’t want to be anywhere else.”
Regulus’ face softened a bit. Once again he reminded you of the shy boy that you had fallen in love with so quickly. He looked around as if to make sure that Walburga (dead or not) wasn’t hovering to listen to this conversation. Regulus didn’t want anyone to see him be weak.
“Do you promise?”
He asked, in barely a whisper. Your eyes softened before wrapping your hand through his.
“I swear to it…with everything I have. Regulus, I married you because you are the one that my heart needs. You make me happy.”
You added before slowly unbuttoning the black shirt that he was wearing slightly. Regulus gave you a look as if you had lost your mind. You have him a cheeky smirk before tracing your finger of the tattoo over his heart…the constellation in the sky from the night he proposed.
“This…us…means everything.”
You said. Regulus opened his mouth to say something but stopped when Remus opened the door. Remus raised an eyebrow at the sight in front of him.
“Do the two of you need a moment?”
Regulus quickly buttoned his shirt back up while you hid the smirk on your face behind your hand.
“We are fine.”
Regulus commented as Remus shrugged and turned his attention to you.
“It's good to see you, Y/n. Are you doing well?”
You moved to hug Remus. Faithful Remus Lupin…the one friend from childhood that you could always count on was once again checking on you when he should be worrying about himself. Both Regulus and yourself had tried to find a way to try to help Remus over the years (even if he didn’t exactly want to be too receptive to it).
“I’m fine. You are looking well. How are you feeling?”
Remus shrugged again before noticing Sirius poking his head in from the other room.
The nosey ass in him couldn’t stay away.
Remus thought before turning his attention back to you.
“I feel well. Better than a few weeks ago, I suppose. Come on in. We don’t need a lot of attention on us.”
Both Regulus and yourself walked in. Neither of you wanted to be back in Grimmauld Place and seeing the drab gloomy darkness of the room only added to that feeling.
“Well, I see it's still cozy here.”
Regulus grumbled as Sirius walked in. A frown immediately took its place on Regulus’ face. While he believed that Sirius was innocent that didn’t mean that he was ready to face him in person. Part of Regulus still blamed Sirius for walking out and leaving him in that house. There was also the part of him that loathed his older brother for how he did you. How some dolt could cheat on such an angel of a woman was beyond Regulus’ comprehension.
Sirius meanwhile, felt equally as shocked to see Regulus. Even with all of the years that had passed, Regulus still looked just as he had the last time that Sirius had seen him. The only difference was the fact that Regulus had “grunged” down a bit. His hair was longer and he made no attempt to make the curls stop from forming like he used to. Sirius’ eyes fell down to Regulus’ left arm (where he knew the dark mark was) but was relieved to see that his little brother’s whole left forearm was covered in tattoos.
Thank god…I couldn’t bring myself to look at that. I bet mother had a heart attack when her little darling got tattoos that he can't hide.”
Sirius made a mental note to ask about that one later…when things weren’t so tense.
“Regulus…”
Sirius managed to get out. Regulus raised an eyebrow.
“Very good. I see you remember my name.”
Regulus knew that it was a cold response but he couldn’t help it. The “hurt” child in him was still hurt and getting over pain wasn’t something that Regulus Black did well. Evan Rosier didn’t call Regulus “King Petty” for no reason.
Sirius blinked awkwardly.
“Uh yeah… it's good to see you.”
Regulus didn’t respond for a moment before awkwardly saying “uh huh” in return. Sirius knew that this was going to be one hell of a “let's catch up.” Part of him had been hoping that Regulus would be receptive to some form of reconciliation. Clearly, that was not going to be the case.
Sirius sighed before turning to look at you. Part of him wished that he hadn’t. You were just as beautiful as Sirius remembered. Even after a handful of years, you were still stunning. You reminded him so much of a young Euphemia.
What made Sirius uncomfortable was how “fancy” you looked. Clearly, you were using your family or the Black’s money well.
Regulus probably dresses her like this…Y/n never cared about clothes or money before.
Sirius thought. His eyes fell down to your hand that was locked in Regulus’. From there he stood, Sirius could see the ridiculous engagement and wedding band on your finger.
She better not go swimming…she will drown with that thing on her hand.
Sirius thought before finally bringing himself to speak.
“Y/n… it's so good to see you again.”
From your place beside Regulus, you wished that you could say the same thing. Sirius wasn’t the person that you remembered. He didn’t have the same jovial smile that he used to wear all the time. Now he looked nearly defeated, which made you sad. You never thought that you would see the day when Sirius Black looked like this.
The good part, you felt nothing romantically. Part of you (the part that would never tell Regulus) worried that deep down…you would see Sirius and there might…just might be some feelings. Yet, there wasn’t. There was nothing but pity and slight heartache. Sirius didn’t deserve what happened to him. Regardless of what happened between the two of you, as a couple, you would have wished 12 years in Azkaban on him.
“Yes.”
You replied, not knowing how to respond. The last thing that you wanted to do was give Sirius any hope or Regulus anything to worry about. Remus, meanwhile, noticed your tension and decided to come in.
“Y/n, would you help me start the tea? The others will be arriving soon.”
You moved to kiss Regulus on the cheek before following Remus into the kitchen. Regulus watched as Sirius’ eyes were on you the whole time.
Time to put a stop to this.
Sirius turned back to his brother hoping to say something. There was an uncomfortably cold expression on Regulus’ face.
“I’ve got my eyes on you so you just watch it.”
Regulus turned and walked from the room without another word.

Greetings and salutations good friend; I bring offerings of Adamgail-siblings thoughts!
So I was thinking about Adam going 'fuck this' and bringing Abby back home with him. Does he still live in the same shitty place, or has a boost in the popularity of his photos following his post-trap fame given him enough money to get a better place? Do they bring any of the Hobbs House furniture with them? Orrrrrrrrrr does he live with Lawrence, coming home after being missing for a week with no warning like "Honey I'm home, and guess what I brought back: your future sister-in-law!"
Whatever the case, we see a drastic change in the type of clothes Abby wears after episode one. Going from floaty more casual clothing, to a more compressed(i can't think of a better word) look. So what if after moving in with Adam, she starts to wear a more grungy look; quite a few people dress aggressively to warn away people, so maybe Abby could go for that to get randos to stay back to keep herself safe.
Her and Adam could maybe have a siblings bonding moment of Adam giving her a (probably not great) haircut and dye-job in the bathroom to make her look less like the pictures in the paper!
I like to think of the idea of a while down the line Abby meeting Danny from Saw 2 at a 'Teens who nearly got serial-killed support group' or maybe Adam met Danny at a survivors group and Danny stuck to him because 'wow this guy knows Scott Tibbs lead singer of Wrath of the Gods (the band on his t-shirt)' or at some point Adam was like 'hey I have a sister your age I think you two could be good friends'. or something.
Anyway, the end result would be the two meeting and becoming friends, perhaps bonding over their trauma a little bit. And then mayyyybe joining forces to create an angsty teen band where they sing songs about the fucked up things that happened to them!
Hope you're having a good day!
Hello! Very happy to see you in my inbox again friend! I'm a little sick right now, but happy to ramble about the siblings :D
I LOVE the idea of Abigail, Adam and Lawrence living together. I really think Lawrence would be fond of Abigail. Although Adam wouldn't say exactly why Abigail had come to live with them, he'd know the situation back home is dire. I can imagine him getting the house all ready for their return , asking Adam beforehand what Abigail's interests are. So when Abigail arrives she's greeted with a small bedroom full of art supplies, and a window facing the park nearby the house, which he delightfully explains to Abigail had all sorts of critters roaming around day and night. I'm sure this would not only warm Abigail's heart, but Adam's too. Knowing that his partner would care so much about someone so close to him would make Adam want to propose that very moment.
I like to think when Diana visits, her and Abigail would get on well. Abigail would finally know what it's like to be an older sibling figure. I can imagine her helping Diana with her homework or making food for themselves when Adam and Lawrence decide to go on a date night, which would consist of homemade pizza and ice-cream for dessert.
(now I've got a really cute image of Adam and Lawrence coming back home to a sleeping Abigail and Diana, snuggled up against the couch while The Little Mermaid credits roll <3)
Funnily enough, I'm planning on writing a part of my fic where Adam cuts Abigail's hair, but dyeing it is also a nice thought! I'm sure Abigail would be quite hesitant to trust her brother with scissors and hair dye, but surprisingly he knows his way around a head of hair. And paired with some new clothes Lawrence had bought her (no matter how hard she insisted she didn't need them), consisting of flowy skirts, loose tops, cardigans and jumpers/sweaters for the winter months, she'd really start feeling like her own person, not who someone wanted her to be.
I also love the idea of Abigail and Daniel (Danny) being friends! Especially since the only person we see Abigail interact with her age is Marrisa and her dad's victims. He'd think she'd like so cool with her platinum blonde hair (thinking of that one picture of Kacey rn) and they'd hit it off!!! In my opinion, if they were to start a band, I think Abigail wouldn't want to be front and centre, so I can imagine her taking up the drums, hidden away from everyone yet still soaking up the atmosphere. And of course for their first gig Adam insists on taking pictures for free (much to the jealousy of Scott) and he'd be so proud of her!
#aghhhhh i love them so much there's just so many different possibilities with them!!!#once again a pleasure to see you again friend!!!#abigail hobbs#adam stanheight#adam faulkner stanheight#lawrence gordon#daniel matthews#diana gordon#adamgail siblings#chainshipping#hannibal#hannibal nbc#nbc hannibal#saw#saw franchise#saw 2004#asks

Prompt: AU to 2.01. during the workout scene Eddie brings up Abby and Buck feels hurt and betrayed that Chim would share his private life with basically a stranger. When Chim says Eddie’s cool Buck says he can be wary of the new guy who gets so comfortable right off the bat when Buck himself got hazed like crazy as a probie. When Chim says Abby’s not a big deal Buck turns to Eddie and asks if he found his abandonment amusing. Eddie feels horrible and Chim finally understands his screw up. Buddie
Hi Anon! I’m not 100% sure this will satisfy your prompt, for which I apologise. That said, in a longer fic I’m currently working on, this scene gets examined hardcore from both Buck and Eddie’s POV and I hope to post that fic soon, so if this does not quite do it, hopefully that will. All that said, I do hope you enjoy this:
--
The kid is like a brother to him, but good god. It’s only Eddie’s second shift and they haven’t even all clocked in yet, and Buck is already being a dick. Chimney sighs – on the inside – and keeps buttoning his shirt while Buck slams locker doors and Eddie just tries to change.
When Buck finally stomps out of the locker room, Eddie takes a second and then turns to Chim.
“So, is it just me, or…”
“Try not to take it personally,” Chim recommends. He likes Eddie, has liked him since they met. It’s nice to have another medic on the shift, even if Eddie isn’t certified as a paramedic like him and Hen. Bobby’s and Buck’s EMT certification is great and useful but sometimes that little bit of extra medical knowledge comes in handy.
“So he’s just a dick to everyone?” Eddie asks.
Chim sighs. “Nah,” he says. “He’s just – look, the kid’s got a heart of gold, he really does, and most of the time he’s the sweetest guy you’ll meet, like a giant 6’2 golden retriever, but his first serious girlfriend just dumped him and then ghosted him, and he’s been a bit…in a bad mood.”
Although, now that he thinks about it, Buck’s straight up denial about Abby having dumped him has kept his mood afloat well enough. Up until Eddie showed up at the 118. But Chimney can’t fathom how the two would be related.
Eddie nods like that makes sense and they continue getting ready for their shift.
Chimney does his best to stay out of Buck’s way for most of the morning. It’s only by coincidence he finds himself in the gym at the same time as Buck and Eddie. Buck, clearly trying to comfort himself with the hot firefighter calendar, starts taking selfies over by the bench press.
Chimney does not know why Eddie decides to start something.
“You’re in the wrong light, man,” Eddie says. Chim frowns. Light? For a selfie?
“Some of us don’t need lighting to look good,” Buck shoots back.
Chim glances at Buck, but he’s distracted by himself.
“Hey, Eddie? What did you mean by the wrong light?” Chim asks.
Eddie explains about warm side lighting as opposed to flat blue light, and shows off the pictures his niece had taken for him. Chimney doubts that most of the effect is just because of lighting. As he’d pointed out on Eddie’s first shift, that is a beautiful man.
Still, having well done photos can’t hurt.
“You think she’d be willing to take my pictures for me? I’m told I photograph like an Asian Fabio,” Chim says, which gets him a laugh from Eddie.
“Sure she would,” he says.
And then, of course, Hurricane Buck.
“You shouldn’t get his hopes up,” he says to Eddie, all glower. “No offence, Chim.”
Chimney isn’t sure how he’s supposed to take that as anything but offensive. But—
He’s got a heart of gold, Chim reminds himself. He’s got a goddamn heart of gold.
“None taken,” he says, heading back to his bench dips. “Evan.”
He gets maybe two reps in before he hears Eddie say, “Okay, man, what’s your problem?”
Chimney winces and looks over to see Buck getting up in Eddie’s face.
“Okay, you,” Buck says. Chimney frowns. Eddie? It really is personal? “You’re my problem. Your comfort level. You’re – you’re not supposed to just walk in here like you’ve been here for years. There’s supposed to be a getting-to-know-you period. You’re meant to respect your elders.”
That’s what Buck is pissed about?
“You’re not his elder, Buck,” Chim points out. As he says it, he realises he doesn’t actually know how old Eddie is. He’s been assuming due to his work history that he’s on the other side of thirty from Buck, but he doesn’t actually know.
“Look,” Eddie says. He sounds calm and rational, in complete contrast to Buck’s anger and irritation, which Chim takes as a good sign. “I in no way meant to, uh, be too familiar or step on anybody’s toes. I know you’re going through some personal stuff right now.”
Out of the corner of his eye, Chimney can see Buck flinch.
“What personal stuff?” he asks.
Whoops.
“I know your girlfriend recently broke up with you and you’re coming to terms with that,” Eddie says.
“No, I’m not,” Buck says. Which, points for honesty, Chim thinks. “And she didn’t break up with me. Who told you that?”
When they both turn to look at him, Chim tries to melt into his exercise equipment.
“I’m just saying, I hear you’re a good guy, and I’m sorry you’re going through pain but you don’t need to take it out on me,” Eddie says.
“I’m not in pain,” Buck snaps, wounded.
Chim doesn’t mean to heave a dramatic sigh, but it happens. Buck rounds on him.
“And why are you telling all of my personal shit to strangers?” Buck asks.
Chim winces. There are a lot of reasons – Eddie asked; Eddie is already a clear part of the team, not a stranger; because Chimney’s worried about him and gossip is how they deal with things at the 118; but he doesn’t think Buck’s in a mood to accept any of those.
“I asked if you were pissed at me or something else,” Eddie says. “And I’m sorry about your girlfriend, man, I know what it’s like to have someone you thought loved you disappear on you in the dead of night.”
Chimney stops doing his dips and turns to scan Eddie, concerned. But Eddie’s just looking at Buck.
“She didn’t – I drove her to the airport,” Buck says.
He sounds so damn small and vulnerable that despite how much of a dick he’s been recently, Chim kind of wants to just hug him. He’s spent so much of the past four months since Abby left acting like he was completely fine most of the time, and so they hadn’t really…
Well, they hadn’t been there for him. Bobby’s got his reasons, Chim knows, since Hen’s almost certainly right about the secret Bobby-Athena relationship going on in the background. But Chim and Hen could’ve done better.
“Look, man, all I can tell you is that staying in denial isn’t gonna help,” Eddie says. “You’re still gonna get the divorce papers in the mail eventually.”
“We weren’t—” Buck starts and Chimney almost jumps into the conversation to make sure Buck isn’t actually that stupid. “Oh.”
“Truce?” Eddie asks, taking off one of his boxing gloves and holding his hand out in Buck’s direction.
Buck swallows and, after a long, awkward moment, takes Eddie’s hand. “You’re still a probie.”
“I promise you, there is no worse hazing you can do to me than the guys in Afghanistan already did,” Eddie says.
Chimney wonders if he feels like eating those words later that night when Eddie and Buck get into an ambulance with a live grenade. Chim and Hen aren’t on the call with them, since they were already doing a transport from the previous call, but when they all get back to the station, something has clearly shifted between Buck and Eddie.
“You two idiots got in an ambulance with a live grenade?” Hen demands, hands on her hips. Chim has seen her deploy this expression at Denny before. It usually gets her immediate apologies and chagrin.
“Eddie was an army medic,” Buck says. “We were totally safe.”
“Until the ambulance exploded,” Eddie points out.
“Yeah, but we weren’t in it anymore,” Buck says, knocking his shoulder into Eddie’s while they sit at the kitchen counter together. Hen shakes her head slowly, like she can’t believe what she’s hearing. “And besides! We saved the patient.”
“Which is what matters,” Eddie adds.
Hen throws her hands up, exasperated. “I’m so glad there are two of you now.”
She stalks off and Chim watches while Buck and Eddie exchange bright smiles. Chim couldn’t say for sure, but he thinks the last time Buck smiled like that, he was talking to Abby. Which is certainly a development Chim didn’t see coming.
He finds Buck later in the bunks.
“Hey,” he says, knocking on Buck’s partition. Buck isn’t asleep, he’s just scrolling through his phone. “Got a sec?”
“Sure,” Buck says, sitting up and dropping his phone into his lap.
“I’m sorry about earlier,” Chim says. “Telling Eddie about Abby, I mean. I don’t think any of us really realised how much you’re still hurting over that.”
“I’m fine,” Buck says. It’s too quick, and just a bit too sharp to be genuine.
Chim just waits.
“I’m – I’ve – I’ve been single for four months, haven’t I?” Buck asks quietly.
“Yeah,” Chim says, because Eddie had pointed out, denial just hurts more.
“Great,” Buck says. He clears his throat a couple times like he’s trying to get rid of a blockage. Chimney takes that as an opportunity to clap him on the shoulder.
“You’ve still got your family,” Chim says. “By which I mean the 118, because as far as you’ve said, you may as well have sprung out of the ground fully formed.”
Buck snorts. “I’ve got a sister,” he says, which is the first biological family member Chimney has ever heard Buck mention. “Maddie. She’s actually sleeping on my couch right now.”
“God, a female Buck,” Chim says. “I can’t even imagine how terrifying that must be.”
Buck scoffs and elbows him. “She’s not like me at all. You might even like her. She’s basically the best person ever, just a heart of pure gold.”
Chimney doesn’t quite trust Buck’s judgement when it comes to his sister, but if he’s right, well…
“Certain shitty comments you’ve made recently aside, that sounds exactly like you, Buckaroo,” Chim says.
“Thanks, Chim,” Buck says and sounds like he means it. “And I’m sorry for being a dick.”
Chim nods and claps him on the shoulder again before turning to head back to his own bunk.
“Hey, Chim?”
Chimney pauses.
“Do you think Eddie’s—”
Chimney waits, but all Buck says is “never mind.”
Their next call isn’t until morning when they find a group of idiots who have cemented their friend’s head into a microwave. When the kid falls into a pool, Buck jumps in to save him without hesitation and Eddie is only a split second behind him.
Chim doesn’t think about it until they’re all back at the station and changing out for the end of shift, but he thinks that this particular level of drift compatibility between Buck and Eddie might be a bit of a dangerous thing.
When they’re all back in civvies, Eddie says goodbye to everyone and starts to leave, only for Buck to follow him out, calling, “Hey! Eddie! There’s a really great brunch place down the street if you want to grab something, maybe?”
Chim and Hen watch them go, and wait until they’ve both driven off – together, even if in separate vehicles – before commenting.
“They’re gonna give us all heart attacks, aren’t they,” Hen says, resigned.
“Oh yeah,” Chim agrees.
“At least Buck seems happier?” Hen asks.
“Small victories,” Chim replies. “I’ll see you on Thursday.”
“See you then,” she says, going back to cleaning her locker.
Chimney only makes it as far as the parking lot before he’s stopped dead in his tracks by a breathtakingly beautiful woman. He’s never been a poetry kind of guy, but he’s pretty sure he could wax poetic about the bright stars in her eyes for several days if pressed. It doesn’t hurt that she’s holding a large Tupperware of baked goods.
“How can I help?” Chim asks, swallowing his gum. There’s nowhere to spit it out and no way to do that in front of a pretty girl that doesn’t look tacky.
“I was actually looking for Evan Buckley,” she says. “I wanted to surprise him. He said he was having a kind of intense shift.”
Chimney feels an instant spike of envy, and then realises who she is.
“You must be Buck’s sister,” he says.
“I am,” she agrees. “Maddie Kendall. Well, Buckley, again, I guess.”
“I’m Chimney,” he says, offering her his hand to shake.
She balances the container of baked goods on one forearm and shakes his hand. “It’s nice to put a face to a name. Buck says you’re one of the best guys at the station.”
Chimney can’t help but smile at that. “That’s funny, I was just saying the same thing about him.”
Maddie laughs and Chimney is struck by the desire to make her laugh always.
He stands there, grinning at her like an idiot, for much longer than he should until Maddie finally says, “So, where would I find him?”
“Oh! Sorry! You just missed him,” Chimney says. “He already left for a brunch date with the probie.”
Maddie’s eyebrows lift, delighted. “A date?”
Chim shrugs. “I’m not sure either of them knows that part, but definitely.”
“How about I put these down somewhere and you tell me absolutely everything,” Maddie suggests, holding up the box of muffins.
“I don’t know if I should,” Chim says, showing her up the stairs to the loft where D shift are working on the coffee maker. “I kinda got in trouble for telling people things about him recently.”
“Mm, big sister’s prerogative,” Maddie says, happily accepting the cup of coffee Chimney offers her.
“Okay, but if he yells at me again, I’m blaming you,” Chimney says. He takes one of the muffins from the now open container and groans. So not only is she gorgeous and the best person ever by Buck’s estimation, she can also cook and she thinks Chimney is funny. “These are amazing.”
“Thank you,” Maddie says. “And I’m sure we can work something out about Buck re blame. So long as you dish.”
Chimney grins. “Deal.”

Summary: 2019 and Ashley finally reads Trent’s response. Find the first one here: Email with a side of regret
"Ashley"
She didn't like that tone at all, removing her headphones and looking up she grinned "Hey baby what's up?" She asked, "why is there only one unread email from Trent in your inbox?" Metal asked, raising an eyebrow, the marine frowned.
That email was sent in response to her reaching out to the one she held off reading, not wanting to see the 'Stay out of my life' message. She knew her brother took pity on her when he saw the state she was in, sure they spoke and got along with each other.
But it wasn't being siblings, it was more like a friend you didn't want to get too close to.
"Oh that, it's nothing," she said with a shrug, turning back to folding up her things "Ashley," Metal said in a slightly harsher tone "Why haven't you read this? It's dated 2017"
"Uhm… because it was in response to an email I sent Trent, after being freed from Captivity"
Metal fell silent. Looking at her, trying to figure out if she was being serious? “Why haven’t you read it?”
“Dude, you are just back. Get off my back about it.” she snapped getting up from her spot on the floor “It’s not your business” she says, going to grab the tablet, but Metal held it up higher.
“Are you ever gonna trust me enough to let me in?” Metal states “Ash it’s 2019. This was what? Almost Two years ago.” he says, watching her, he would have made a comment about his ‘kids’ being his cats following her like ducklings but was more focused on the fact she was avoiding this “You should read it” he urges.
“Scott Enough” She states turning to glare at the taller man. “I have to prepare to leave for base, you and your SEAL buddies are meeting with that blondie, who got hurt in the Philippines.” she says, moving past him only to be stopped “damn it, Scott, that's playing unfair!”
“Baby calm down, you don’t gotta rush, you’ll get to base in plenty of time” he states, keeping his grip on her “Take a breath, calm down and talk to me about what's going in your head,” he says, feeling her stop trying to pull away “It’s nothing ok? That email is from 2017, I got a response to an email I sent after my captivity...I don’t want to open it to find out it just says F off” she whispered. “Don’t wanna see what it said. I already know he took pity on me, when he saw me in the street that day.”
“Your brother cares about you, it won't say that '' Metal says.
“Look I know you're just back from deployment and helping get the guy who hurt Spenser, and I'm preparing to leave, 6 months away from here, I just can’t read that email ok?” she says, glancing up to meet his gaze.
“Then what about I read it, and let you know if it's ok, then maybe you’ll work on your relationship with him more?” the SEAL suggests, Ashley sighed, nodding “ok but I need to go now, see you when I see you,” she says.
-------------------------------------------------
She's sitting on the plane, scrolling through her mail on her tablet when she sees the new message from Metal with: read it as the subject line, taking a breath she clicked on it, watching the words come up on the screen, slowly reading through it, she could feel the anxiety making itself known.
People are sleeping around her, unsure of how to react, she would need to talk to Trent about it, but she knew one thing, both Amelia and Scott were right - Trent Cared.
-----------------------------------------------------
The Response To: [email protected]
From: [email protected]
Subject: RE: Surprise Bitch I lived. (plz open this)
Ashley.
First, the subject line? It is unprofessional...Somehow very you.
I don’t even know how to start, I am very happy that you are alive, which means I can let that worry go that I’ve been carrying for the past 5 years, I can stop checking obituaries, memorial plaques, and the Marine fallen sailor pages. My girlfriend Amelia (who you met! You followed her home, Ashley! Are you insane?!) telling me how you visited her, how you told her that you’ve worked with Bravo and been on the same base and avoided me. You should have just spoken to me, kid.
Thank you for apologizing, but I know the whole truth. When I divorced her, she told me everything that happened, but a year had passed, and you had changed your contact numbers. Because of her, I lost my baby sister.
Mom told me about your falling out, in 2013, god Ash, you’ve been alone all this time with no one to lean on or come home to, I can’t imagine how difficult that would have been. I’m sorry, I wish I had tried to find you sooner.
I’m glad you were rescued, that you are safe, I heard chatter around the base from Marines for the past few months, but no names were mentioned, and working the job I do, we weren’t given any indication of who was taken. When you are clear to return to Virginia, give me a call, my number is still the same, I’ll pick you up and you can spend the rest of your recovery with myself and Amelia.
I think you two will get along great, and yes, I am happy, I don’t feel like I need to pretend to be someone else, my teammates can crash here with no judgment from her, then again, she understands the lifestyle I live, her brother is also in the Navy.
Of course, I want to have our relationship back, you are my sister, nothing will ever change that, I want to know everything, where you have been, people you met, tragedies you encountered, things you learned, I want to know how you have been, relationships. No matter what Ashley. You are my sister, you are my family.
I know you joke about things with Mom and Dad, I know they disowned you, but you always have me. No matter how mad I am at you, or upset, I will always be there for you. I’ve missed having my little sister around, it would be nice to introduce you properly to some friends and Amelia, I told her about you, things you did as a kid, things I taught you.
I know you didn’t expect a reply, if roles were reversed, I’d be the same. I can’t lie, I thought about not responding, the thing is, we lost one of our teammates 4 days ago, I can’t go into detail. But your email was a surprise, and when I received this it was about 5 am.
Take care kid. I'll see you soon. Give me a call when you can, if you can.
Do not punch your Gunnery Sergeant.
Trent.

previous chapter // season masterlist // series masterlist
March 21st, 2150; Becca’s Lab; less than 2 hours until Praimfaya
The planning that goes into sending 9 people into space is a lot more intense than you expected. You spend the next couple of hours trying to figure everything out, get the rocket modified, and informing those in the bunker of your plans. Right now, you are in the office with Bellamy, sitting near the radio, talking to Octavia. He just told her everything, down to the smallest of your plans, letting her know exactly what challenges you’re facing, and she seems surprised that you’re even doing this. “Five years. Can you really survive up there?”
“Raven says we can. As soon as it's safe, we'll find a way back down. We will meet again.”
“I'll be waiting…” She pauses, giving the moment a dramatic effect before finishing, “Under the floor.”
“You're not that little girl anymore.” He sits back, waiting for her response, met with nothing but silence. He glances at you and then over to the radio, his brotherly instincts kicking in. “What is it, O?”
“I'm not sure I'm up for this, Bell. They look at me like I know what I'm doing, just because I won a fight.”
“They look at you like that because you saved them, but it won't last. Now you have to lead.”
“How? I'm not a leader. It should be you or one of the twins or-”
He cuts her off, nipping the insecurity in the bud. “O, stop. None of us could've done what you did, and it wasn't just winning a fight. You gave people hope when there was none. You're Prometheus, stealing fire from the gods and giving it back to the human race.”
You smile at your history nerd, proud of his metaphor, and Octavia jokes, “Prometheus got chained to a rock so that eagles could eat his liver.”
“Thanks for ruining my metaphor, O.”
You and Bellamy laugh, and you can hear Octavia laughing on the other end before she gets serious again. “I love you, big brother. Guess it takes the end of the world for me to say it.”
He drops his head, and you can see him fighting back tears, after weeks of desperately wanting to hear the words from his little sister. “I love you, too.”
He lets go of the button, and a static that wasn't there before comes through, growing louder and quieter every few seconds. Bellamy looks at the radio in confusion, and then fear, as he questions, “O? Hey, O, are you there?”
When she doesn't answer, he fiddles with the dials, and you stand from your chair nearby and come to settle beside him on the couch, placing your hand on his thigh as he repeats, “Are you there, O?”
When nothing comes through, he drops his head again, the tears threatening to fall, before he pushes them away and whispers, “May we meet again.”
You echo, “May we meet again.”
The door to the office opens and Clarke steps inside, looking happy, blissfully unaware that the radio cut out before you could talk to your mom. She smiles at you, “Hey, do they have her?”
“The radio's dead, we won't get to say goodbye to mom.”
Her face falls at your words and you stand and walk over to her, pulling her into a hug as she starts to cry. You comfort her, feeling your own wash of sadness, and you feel Bellamy place his hand on your shoulder, allowing you to draw strength from him. The moment doesn't last for long though, because Murphy yells from down in the lab, “Twins of Terror, Bellamy, get down here!”
You all run out of the office and down the stairs into the lab, stopping beside the others to watch the giant screens in front of you. One of Becca’s drones is situated outside of Polis, filming the tower, and in the background you can see Praimfaya approaching, the large, fiery death wave barreling towards the tower. You reach out and grab Bellamy’s and Clarke’s hands, all three of you connected as you watch the death wave cover the tower, before it knocks out the drone itself, ending the signal.
Your stomach drops as the transmission ends, aware that now, all 9 of you are well and truly alone, with no help or assistance coming from your friends and family. Raven stares at the blank screen, her voice a horrified whisper. “It's 210 miles from Polis to the island. According to what was our last drone, the wave is accelerating.”
This new challenge hits her, making her think, and she starts to whisper a list of things that need to be done for this mission to be successful. “If we're not off the ground at least 20 minutes before it hits, the electromagnetic charge in the pyroclastic cloud will shut down the rocket's avionics, meaning it won't fly. That gives us 90 minutes to run a 6 hour preflight check, retrieve the oxygen generator from the lighthouse, turn a cockpit designed for two into one that can carry 9, and load the cargo hold with enough food to keep us from starving in space while we wait for algae to bloom.”
Murphy quips, “I thought you said it was gonna be hard.”
“That's not the hard part. Becca designed her rocket to dock with Polaris, not the Ark. That means I have to pilot it into the hangar bay on the ring.”
Harper looks towards Raven, shaking her head in confusion. “What's so hard about that?”
“That's not the hard part, either.”
Clarke starts to grow exasperated and she looks over at Raven. “What is the hard part, Raven?”
“Assuming we blast off in time, CO2 scrubbers on a two person rocket won't support 9 of us.”
You shrug, “So, we use supplemental oxygen.”
Monty informs you, and the group, what makes that a challenge. “Our tanks only hold an hour of air.”
“Correct. We'll have one hour to get into orbit, land in the hangar bay, and fire up the life support system using an oxygen generator built to supply a lighthouse bachelor pad.”
Murphy looks over at Raven and deadpans, “You suck at talking people into things. You know that, right?”
“Anyone here still need to be talked into this?” Bellamy looks around at everyone, waiting for each of you to shake your head no before he looks at Raven. “Good. Now we know the many ways we might die today, why don't you tell us what we have to do to live?”
Raven turns to the monitor and pulls up a 90 minute timer for all of you to keep an eye on, before she starts to hand out assignments. “Monty and Murphy, I need the two of you to go to the lighthouse bunker and get the oxygen generator.”
She hands them the tools they’ll need and the two boys nod and quickly begin their journey. Raven turns to Harper, Emori, and Echo. “I need you three to help me get the rocket ready, run the preflight check, and pack up the food.”
They nod, awaiting further instruction, before she turns and looks over at you, Bellamy, and Clarke. “I need you to go over the plans again, thoroughly, and make sure all the calculations are correct. Otherwise, this is all for nothing. Everything is up top on the next level of the lab.”
She points you to where you need to go, and all three of you immediately head there and start to comb over the plans, schematics, and data laid out before you, ensuring everything seems correct. You’ve run through it at least three times before Bellamy gets distracted, and walks away from the table, looking out over the lab, over to where the others are preparing the rocket. You look over at him, watching him, as Clarke begins again. “So, let's go over this again. I figure two months until the algae farm produces enough food to feed us. If we ration the MREs, we should get there.”
She looks over at you and Bellamy, realizing you’re not listening, and she sighs. “I’m going to take a break. Be back in a few.”
You nod and watch as she heads towards the stairs into the main part of the lab, and you walk over to where Bellamy is standing at the railing, nervously tapping his fingers. When he sees you approach, he smiles, and shakes his head in disbelief. “Grounders in space, it's an oxymoron.”
“It was the only choice.” You smile and shrug, “Only choice, also an oxymoron, by the way.”
He turns towards you, eyes anxiously scanning over you, the way he seems to do every hour since you coughed up blood in the snow. He runs his hand over the top of your head, to the sweat gathered there, and pulls a face. “So is cold sweat. I’m still holding out hope for that Nightblood solution.”
“Seems like there was never any solution. I guess Alie was right about that.”
“Hey, Our fight isn't over, not yet.”
You shrug again, thinking of your mom’s vision that she seems so convinced of. Clarke seems to feel the same way, because every mention of it leaves her worried. “My mom had a vision of me and Clarke dying, apparently just like the one Raven had that told her there was a rocket here.”
“It is not the same thing.”
“Maybe not. But they were both EMP'd.”
“Abby will be fine, Raven told her how to stop it.”
You shake your head, Bellamy still not understanding. Maybe you’ve evaded Death too many times before and this really is it. If it is, not many people get the chance to say goodbye to the love of their life, and you’re starting to feel like you should take this rare opportunity and remind him how you feel. “That's not what I'm talking about. If anything happens to me-”
He immediately cuts you off, not wanting to hear this conversation. “Nothing is happening to you.”
He tries to walk away, deflecting, distracting, motioning towards the charts on the table. “Come on, let's run these water numbers again.”
You reach out and grab his hand, your voice and expression pleading. “Please, Bellamy, I need you to hear this.”
You wait and he nods, letting you know he’ll give you this one goodbye. You take a deep breath and begin, “You and I have been through a lot together. The moment I met you in the halls of the Ark, I thought you were an asshole. That didn't change once we got to the ground, but somehow, someway, I found myself hating you less and less with each passing day. I never would have thought that the guy that threatened me my first day on the ground would turn out to be the love of my life, but I’m so glad you are. I’m so thankful for every second that I’ve gotten to spend with you. I have loved seeing you grow from a selfish asshole into a caring leader, always willing to do anything to save his people. I trust you, I trust your heart, I trust your decisions. The only thing I ask, is that you watch your emotions, check on how you feel. Sometimes your heart rules you, my stormy love, and you make rash decisions based on how you feel. Step back, evaluate everything, and do what’s best for everyone. That’s how we’ll survive, that’s how we’ll deserve to survive.”
Tears well up in his eyes as you talk to him, eventually spilling down his cheeks as you say what might be your last goodbye. He pulls you towards him, into a kiss, pushing his feelings into it. You feel his wet tears graze your cheeks as he reminds you of his love for you, making sure you never forget that you have his heart and that he’s better for it. When he pulls away, you realize that you’re now crying too, suddenly faced with the idea that you don't want to die, you don't want to be without him. But sometimes, these things lie in the lap of the gods, and you can't control it. If Death is coming for the Bringer of Death, then so be it.
Unfortunately, a soft moment can never stay a soft moment on the ground, because chaos always strikes at some point. This moment is no exception, as a giant zapping sound comes from inside the rocket, followed by Raven’s loud cry of anger. You and Bellamy turn to look at the rocket in alarm before you run down the stairs, meeting up with Clarke at the bottom before you run over to the rocket and peek inside, looking down at Raven who is waving smoke away from her head. “Raven, what is it?”
“Oh, there isn't enough time. We're pushing too hard.”
Bellamy shakes his head, giving her a concerned look. “What's happening?”
She ignores him and calls out, “Computer, systems check.”
“Launch system...optimal. Navigation system...optimal. Life support system...assessing damage.”
Raven waves off the worry she sees crossing your faces. “It's okay, we're using supplemental, anyway.”
“All life support systems are offline.”
She nods, holding a finger up at the three of you. “Just wait, two more.”
“Landing system...optimal. Communication system...assessing damage.” She drops her head, looking slightly worried as she awaits the verdict. “All communication systems are offline.”
“Recommend repair options for communication system.”
Harper looks her way, not understanding your pilot’s worry. “Who cares? There's no one to talk to, anyway.”
“Quiet.”
“Damage is beyond repair. Total system replacement required.”
Raven sits frozen in place, staring off into the distance, and Bellamy looks at her, concerned. “Talk to us, Raven.”
“We're not going anywhere.” She looks over at the fried panel, before she storms out of the rocket, yelling at the computer as she leaves, “Computer, terminate launch sequence.”
You, Bellamy, and Clarke exchange a worried look before you all hurry after her, and Harper, Emori, and Echo join you as you come to a stop around Raven. She’s staring down at a tablet in her hand, and you try to get her attention. “Raven, explain.”
“It's simple, there's no power in the ring. Two minutes ago, I thought it wasn't a problem because I could activate it remotely.”
Clarke nods her head, starting to understand. “Over the rocket's comms system.”
Bellamy shrugs, and tries to offer a solution, “So we turn the power on from the inside. “
“We can't get inside, that's the point. Without power, we can't even open the hangar door.”
Clarke steps closer to her, trying to diffuse the situation. “Raven, think. You've solved bigger problems than this before.”
“Oh, yeah, not in 53 minutes.”
“Raven-”
She cuts her off, plopping down onto the stairs to the rocket with defeat. “It's over, Clarke! You know, maybe if I still had Alie's code eating away at my brain, I could figure it out. I'm not smart enough myself.”
Clarke turns around, looking lost at what to say, and you all turn to Bellamy, knowing he’s the best at pep talks. He accepts the role and sits down beside Raven, his voice soft. “Raven, you can do this. How many times have you saved our asses before you ever even heard of Alie?”
“Too many to count.”
“You're damn right. We don't need Alie on the Ark, we need you.” Something about his words stop her falling tears, and she stares at him, clearly working through something in her head. “What?”
She jumps up very suddenly, pacing around your small group. “Alie was on the Ark, Alie was on the Ark! I was right there, so close to the kill switch, but she got away by transmitting herself to the ring.”
Emori nods, remembering. “Using the pod in the temple.”
“Yes! If she can do it, so can we.”
You look at her, not sure how she expects to get to the pod in the temple. “Raven, we'll never make it back to Polis on time, and the radios are dead.”
“We have something better than radios: the satellite tower.” She turns and points to Echo, Emori, and Harper. “You three, back in the cockpit, finish those restraints.”
They immediately follow her directions and climb back into the rocket, and she turns to you, Clarke, and Bellamy. “You three, helmets on. You're with me.”
She starts to walk away, but she remembers there's one last thing to do first. “Computer, resume launch sequence!”
“Resuming launch sequence.”
She grabs her helmet and the three of you grab yours, following her out of the lab and to the surface, her tablet still in hand, and she stops outside in the snow, pointing to the tower in the distance. “The tower's less than a mile away. All you have to do is plug this into the junction box at the base of the tower. Sat-Star-One is the name of the dish.”
She hands the tablet to Clarke, and you repeat back, “Sat-Star-One.”
“Everything is set. Once the tablet is connected, the dish will align itself with the Ark. The graphic will flash green, and that's how you know it's locked on. When it says 'send', you hit send, and the power up signal will turn on the lights, and that's it. Are there any questions?”
She finishes her instruction with a smile, leaving the three of you a little unsettled given the gravity of the situation. “Yeah, why are you smiling?”
“Because without comms, even with the power on, we still can't open the hangar bay door from inside the rocket.”
Bellamy shakes his head, his helmet shifting slightly from the movement. “Wait. How is that a good thing?”
Clarke connects the dots first. “She gets to take her space walk.”
Movement behind Raven pulls all of your eyes in that direction, watching as an orange suited figure climbs over the snow and runs towards you, struggling with a large machine part in their hands. You all run towards them, recognizing Murphy, who puts the machine down at your feet as you look around for the other man he was with. “Murphy, where's Monty?”
Murphy glances up at Bellamy, struggling to catch his breath. “He's in trouble, he had to expose his hands. He passed out. If we go back now, we can get to him.”
Bellamy looks over at you, expression worried and Murphy quips, “You can be impressed with me later, we gotta go.”
Raven picks up on the indecision in the group, turning to tell Bellamy, “Aligning the dish is a two person job at best, the twins can handle it. Harper will help me with the generator. Go!”
They start to run off, the ticking countdown making all of you too anxious and too eager. You call out to Bellamy before he gets too far, “Bellamy-”
He spins around, practically buzzing with nervous energy. “If this is one of those moments where you tell me to stop and think-”
You cut him off, “No, I was just gonna say, hurry. And that I love you.”
The words never fail to soften him, and ease some of his anxiety. “I love you more than the stars. See you in a few.”
You nod and he turns and runs into the woods, following Murphy, and you watch them until they’re out of sight as Raven hands Clarke a pack. “Monty's pack, everything's inside. It's gonna take you a good 10 minutes to get back from the tower and down to the cockpit. You have to leave that tower with 10 minutes on the clock or you'll both be left behind.”
Clarke tries to hide the anxiety in her voice, but fails as she checks her timer and sees 25 minutes on the countdown. “Ten minutes, we got this.”
You give Raven one last look, “Any last advice?”
“Yeah, run fast.”
And that’s all she has to say to push you and Clarke into gear. The two of you take off running towards the tower, ignoring the struggle of running in the snow in clunky suits. You can feel your earlier radiation poisoning wanting to slow you down, but you ignore it, determined to make it there and back in time. Your path takes you to the top of a small hill, the tower just at the bottom of it, and you lift your timer to check the time. “Eleven minutes.”
You and Clarke exchange a worried look before you scramble down the small hill to the panel of the tower, and you pull it open while Clarke grabs the tablet from the pack. You scan the names, looking for the right one, excited when you see it. “Sat-Star-One!”
You point to the right outlet and she plugs the cord in, both of you looking towards the tablet with excitement. But your excitement turns to frustration when the computer beeps, “Dish not aligned. Dish not aligned.”
“What did we do wrong?!”
“I don't know, radio for help!”
Clarke grabs the radio from the pack and frantically calls out, “Raven, please say that you can hear me. Something went wrong. We did everything you said, but it wouldn't-” Something on the door of the panel catches her eye and she reads outloud, “Manual operation? You've got to be kidding me.”
You both look up the tower, to the very top, where the dish is situated, before you exchange a look, knowing what you have to do. When you check the time on your countdown, it’s ten minutes on the dot. If both of you want to survive, you have to leave now. But if you leave now, you’ll all die in space, unable to get in the Ark. Clarke pushes the radio into your hand and starts to unplug the tablet, “Get back to the rocket, I’ll meet you there.”
“No, I’m not leaving you!”
“If you don’t, you’ll die!”
You grab her hand, holding her in place. “Mom’s vision had both of us dying. If this is it, then this is it. No avoiding it now. Stronger together.”
“Stronger together.” She repeats it back to you, accepting this, before she moves over to the ladder and starts to climb. Before you follow her, you lift the radio. “Bellamy...if you can hear me, don't wait. I love you, so so much.”
You run over to the ladder and start to climb up behind your twin, watching as you climb higher and higher. Each rung that brings you higher into the sky brings you a better glimpse of the approaching death wave, growing more terrifying the higher you get. Each time your arms move to pull you higher, you get a glimpse of the countdown, and when you’re halfway up, you whisper, “Oso gonplei ste odon.”
Our fight is over. Finally, the two of you reach the top, just as the timer on your wrist starts to beep, signaling that you’re out of time. Less than a minute later, you hear a sound tearing through the air, followed closely by the rocket, launching into the sky. You and Clarke both watch it, left behind, and you feel emotion start to grab you and choke you. Clarke reaches out and squeezes your hand, reminding you, “They’re not safe yet. Not until we get the power on.”
You nod and turn towards the control panel, watching as Clarke plugs in the tablet again, the computer repeating, “Dish not aligned. Dish not aligned.”
Clarke smacks the side of the panel, growing frustrated, “Come on, turn!”
She looks up at the dish, and you catch onto her line of thinking, already reaching towards the ladder that will take you up to the satellite. “Tell me where to go, Clarke!”
You climb up to the dish and start to pull it towards you, the satellite pointing into the sky. You hear it make a clicking sound, and you look down at Clarke, who calls out, “Good, now push it forward!”
You do as she says, pushing the satellite forward, pointing it towards the ground, until you hear another click. You look down for more direction, and she yells, “Pull it back again!”
You pull it back again, using all of your strength to get it as far back as possible, until you hear the third and final click. When you look down at Clarke, she screams, “Yes! Dish aligned!”
You lower yourself back down to her, just as she hits the send button. The two of you watch the green bar load, the message taking an agonizingly long time to send, until finally it goes through, a small little message popping up in the corner. “Sent!”
Both of you hug the best you can given the suits still on your body, pulling away when you realize the growing roar of something fast approaching. You look out towards the sky again, the death wave now horrifyingly close, and the two of you exchange a terrified look before Clarke yells, “Go, go, go!”
The two of you scramble down the ladder faster than you thought was humanly possible, running and stumbling through the snow, trying to escape Praimfaya, which seems to stay right at your backs. As you near the lab, the death wave roaring right behind you, Clarke stumbles and falls, the distinct sound of breaking glass heard as she hits the ground. You reach out for her and grab her, and at the same time she tries to jump to her feet, causing the two of you to collide in an awkward way, the broken glass of her helmet tearing into the left suit of your arm. You let out a cry of pain, the glass cutting into your skin, before both of you clamp a hand over your exposed areas and take off running again, nearly at the door to the lab.
The death wave seems to overtake you both as you reach the door, and Clarke pulls it open, stumbling inside. You run in after her, pulling the door closed, both of you slipping and sliding inside on wet, snowy shoes. Clarke stumbles to the table you were running numbers at less than two hours earlier, and she tugs off her helmet, instantly coughing up blood. Her face is covered in lesions, red and angry, and she stumbles once, before falling to the ground, unconscious. You run over to her and try to lift her, but the movement tugs on your arm, forcing you to cry out in pain. You check and make sure Clarke’s still breathing before you do anything else, and once you’re sure she’s still alive, you pull yourself from your suit, screaming as the suit takes some of your skin with it.
The cut on your arm definitely needs stitches, black blood dripping from the wound and running over the lesions on your arm, and you fumble around for a first aid kit, already feeling weak and sick. You sob with pain the entire time you stitch up your arm, doing the best you can as the stitches tug and pull on the fragile skin. Finally, once the wound is closed, the last bit of your energy spent, you lay back on the ground beside Clarke, lightheaded from radiation, blood loss, and pain. And as unconsciousness creeps up on you slowly, reaching out to drag you under, you look up at the ceiling, imagining the sky above, the Ark floating across it. Just as the darkness starts to take you, you whisper, “In this lifetime, and in the next.”
Somewhere in the sky, swimming amongst the stars, Bellamy Blake stands in the viewing window of the Ark, staring down at the Earth below, covered in a toxic death wave. Tears fall down his face, thinking of the love of his life, swallowed whole by radiation, and he chokes out, “Forever.”

6 and 10?? For the Halloween prompts hehe :D (I thought of it with parkner but whatever ya wanna do is good with me! ❤❤)
Absolutely! I really hope you like it 🖤🖤🖤
6: Pranked the wrong person on accident
10: Accidentally scared a kid and their adult is angry
warnings: a little bit of making out (very mild, PG)
So, contrary to popular belief, Harley definitely hadn’t meant to make the kid cry.
And, in the end, can he really be blamed for scaring her so badly that she’d burst into tears the minute she’d seen him? Absolutely not.
He should be the one receiving an apology for the black eye her (very cute) older brother had given him.
That’s right. He’s the victim here. Suck it up, crying child, Harley’s the only one who’s actually been wronged.
Children are too fragile nowadays, anyway. They simply don’t know how to take a good joke. Harley had been the butt of more cruel pranks than he could count (being the only out gay kid in a conservative southern town will do that to you) and he had turned out fine, right?
(Maybe not. Almost definitely not, actually, considering his plethora of mental health issues and traumatic experiences. But still, the kid is going to be fine! Whenever she stops crying.)
Halloween, he thinks, is pretty much the national holiday for mean-spirited pranks. And eating so much candy your stomach hurts, but definitely pranks more than that.
Harley’s been pranking Abby for longer than he can remember, ever since he’d been old enough to watch the horror movies that she so vehemently despised. She tells him to quit every time, but he knows she secretly likes it. Who wouldn’t?
Morgan Stark, apparently, but whatever.
So when Harley had been invited to come visit Tony Stark (that’s right, the Tony Stark) for the holiday season because his mother had been having a hard time financially (taking care of two kids while working a nine-to-five at the local grocery store isn’t anything to scoff at, of course) he had immediately started wondering who he was going to mess around with.
These are just the things he thinks about.
Everyone has different priorities.
Tony comes to pick him up at the airport with Peter Parker, his latest intern and apparent genius (and incredibly handsome, look at those muscles, dear God) and his daughter, Morgan. She takes a liking to him pretty quickly- he’s just a likable person- and so does Peter, even if he tries to hide it.
Harley knows Peter likes his accent. He makes it a point to say ‘ya’ll’ as often as he possibly can and relishes at the way Peter smiles.
Yes, he likes Peter’s little accent, too. Irrelevant.
But he’s starting to wonder if Peter is ever going to want to talk to him again, and the shiner on his left eye says all signs point to no. He hadn’t known Morgan would be with him! He definitely hadn’t known Peter would get so scared! And he had no idea that Peter could punch so damn hard.
“Oh, my God,” Peter gasps, slamming his hand over his mouth with one of the most horrifying expressions Harley’s ever seen a human being make. “Oh, my God.”
Morgan, sitting on the carpeted floor of the tower’s living room, wails for the third time in as many seconds. She sounds like a dying cat. Honestly, someone needs to toughen up a bit.
He doesn’t mean it, he’s just really sore (emotionally and physically).
Harley braces himself against the wall and reaches up to prod at his eye, brow furrowed so hard that he’d be unsurprised if his eyebrows were touching. There’s a dull ache in the bones around his eye- his cheekbone, all that shit, he didn’t take anatomy- and he’s starting to wonder if coming here was a mistake.
“Ouch,” he mutters, dumbfounded. “O-wie.”
“Oh, my God.”
“Nope, just me.” Harley pokes his eyebrow and hisses as a spear of pain shoots through his head. “Strong right hook, sunshine. I’m impressed.”
It’s the first time Peter hasn’t blushed when Harley’s called him a nickname. His stomach drops; that matters more to him than it probably should.
Morgan sobs again, a guttural, heart-wrenching sound. Harley winces; maybe three years old is a bit too early for Halloween pranks.
He’s so glad Tony and Pepper are out watching a horror movie marathon right now and not in the tower, because they’d rip him a new one if they knew.
Peter looks like he’s going to cry.
“I’m so sorry,” he yelps, quickly stepping around Morgan and grabbing Harley by the shoulders. Warm hands burn through the fabric of his shirt, forcefully pulling him down to eye level. He places a gentle hand on the side of his face (oh, no, no, no) and Harley stands stock-still as feather-light fingers dance across his tender skin (no, no, no). Peter’s face is so close, so close, he could kiss him right now if he wanted to-
“We should probably check on her,” Harley says, pushing his very gay thoughts deep, deep into his head as he points down at Morgan bawling in her pumpkin costume.
Is it his imagination, or does Peter look a little bit disappointed? He can’t tell because he turns away and picks his sister (?) up, bouncing her in his arms like a parent as they dance around the living room.
Harley sits down on the couch and waits.
It takes a while to calm her down, but when she finally starts to breathe like a normal person and Peter’s able to change her into her pajamas and put her in her crib for bed, Harley starts to prepare for his inevitable death.
Peter’s gotta be mad, right? Most people would be livid if some guy impeded on their family unit and scared the living shit out of their baby sister. Harley’s ready for a violent chewing-out, steeling himself for what’s to come, but when Peter walks back into the room, he doesn’t start screaming.
Instead, he sits down on the couch only a few inches away from Harley and presses something cold and soft to his sore eye- an icepack.
Harley doesn’t move as Peter hums to himself, eyes fixed on his work. He can feel the blood rushing to his face, can feel his cheeks steadily reddening, and he wants to, wants to, wants to-
“I want to kiss you,” He blurts out, barely in control of his mouth. Then, digging even deeper, “Can I?”
Peter’s eyes go wide. The icepack drops from his hands and he stands, shifting to face Harley fully. Harley looks up at him, sure he’s ruined everything, sure he’s going to be angry and he’s going to lose one of his only friends.
Without even a second of warning, Peter leans down and, swiftly planting his hand in the center of Harley’s chest, pushes him back onto the couch cushions before climbing onto the couch in front of him and slamming his lips onto Harley’s.
Oh.
Harley leans back as Peter leans forward, arms snaking around his waist and meeting at the small of his back to hold him close. Peter’s lips move against his once, twice, three times. He pulls away. Looks at Harley through curious, half-lidded eyes before leaning in again and smirking- smirking- against his lips.
There are hands in his hair, twisting into his curls, and Harley’s leaning forward eagerly, one hand meeting a warm strip of skin just under Peter’s Spider-Man t-shirt, and he takes a deep, deep breath of lavender laundry sheets and fall air and-
A loud wail rings out through the penthouse.
Peter groans, still pressed up against Harley’s chest, before pulling away and hauling himself to his feet.
“I’ve gotta go take care of her,” he mutters, chucking the icepack at Harley, who catches it easily and presses it against his eye. “Be back in a second, okay?”
“Yeah,” Harley breathes. “Yeah, alright.”
Peter smirks. Pecks him on the cheek. Turns to walk away.
“Wait for me.”
He will.

PROMPT TIME BABE. Give us some WereNorman being assisted by Sammy and Abby in escaping captivity in big wolf form. Who then takes them away to his pack to meet and get Sammy red as the wolf turns back to a hot man.
This took an unexpected turn, so it's not exactly what you asked. Still good I promise!
Summary: Sammy was pretty sure this was a fairytale in the making. He'd always dreamt of moving to the city and starting a career as a prestigious musician, adored by all for his magnificent compositions, far away from his father's cattle ranch and especially from the reach of his witch of a step-mother. Usually though, fairytales tended to send a fairy godmother to one's aid, not an intelligent and positively massive wolf...
---
[[MORE]]
There was a part of Samuel Lawrence Jr that felt like he'd missed out on something very big. An opportunity to achieve more, rather than end up where he was now. Still living in the ranch he'd called a home since birth. Granted his little family had changed after his mother's passing, his father welcoming another woman into his life and both baring a little sister that Sammy often looked after himself.
It wasn't too bad of a life. He worked hard and got to reap the fruits of his labour without much hassle, but it felt... Incomplete. Like he could be more than another simple farmer.
He could have been great.
"I think you're bored of it all." Abigail once said, as both sat by this one big and very old tree that he'd play his banjo under, after escaping the scrutiny of his parents. His little sanctuary of sorts, in the form of a dried up husk home to god only knew what critters. "You're an adult now, and you've never really got to go farther than the town nearby."
"Not for a lack of trying..." he sighed. He'd wanted to leave many times, but there was always an excuse keeping him tied. His father's age, the need to keep the ranch in good condition, his step-mother's discouraging and downright abusive insults... He couldn't leave as he pleased. He was bound by duty.
"Maybe one day you'll get your lucky break." She offered one of her sweet little smiles, the ones that tried to offer him her unending optimism. "Maybe we both will... The ranch is beautiful and all, but I'd like to see the world and make friends."
They couldn't have imagined that their lucky break was indeed just over the horizon. Nearing with each nightfall and each changing phase of the moon. Until one night, it finally presented itself.
Sammy jolted out of bed when he heard gunshots. The moon was at its fullest and brightest, and he cursed as the light stung his eyes ever so slightly. He'd left his window open to let in the cool breeze, since his room often got stuffy.
Pulling on his coat and boots, the blond rushed downstairs and grabbed his gun, wondering if someone had come back to steal more chickens like in the last few months. His father had sworn he'd shoot dead whichever son of a bitch tried to mess with his coops again.
To Sammy's surprise the gunshots stopped as quickly as they began, and he found Samuel Sr barricading the barn from outside.
"What's going on?" He asked, noticing that Abigail had come to investigate the ruckus, while her mother watched from the window.
"A wolf. A whole mountain of a fucking beast was stealing the hens!" Their father hissed as he made sure the lock was in place. "Need my bigger gun. Fucker ain't leaving my farm with his life!"
He ran back inside, presumably to look for his bigger gun. The one he kept in a safe in his room for reasons Sammy never quite understood. His step-mother retreated from the window, closing the shutters with a slam. Leaving Sammy and Abby alone to look at each other.
"... We're not just letting dad kill a wolf, right?" The girl asked, looking mildly put off.
"I mean... It was stealing chickens." He shrugged. He was pretty sure it wasn't illegal to kill wolves, even if they were becoming a bit of a rare sight these days.
"It was probably just hungry! We can't punish an animal for doing what it has to survive!" Abigail pouted. "It's like if dad shot me for eating all the chocolate spread."
"It's not the same, and I knew you'd done it you little scamp!" He glared slightly in annoyance before shaking his head. "What do you propose? That we break a window in the back and just let it run free?"
"Yes! That's a great idea! Maybe it won't come back after such a fright." Abigail smiled brightly at him and Sammy had a feeling her optimism knew as much sanity as it knew an end. This was a crazy idea.
"Abby..."
"Please Sammy...?" She looked at him pleadingly. How could he resist that face?
So here he was, at the back of the barn pushing over a stack of hay that obscured one of the larger windows.
"This better be worth it and the mutt better have some sense and run off..." Not a minute after, something truly massive jumped out of the now open window and stared at both of them. It was a tremendously large black wolf, as black as tar, with coarse fur and a single yellow eye. Sammy's blood ran cold once he realized that from sheer size and muscle it could easily overpower the big old ornery bull his father used to breed his cows.
Instead of displaying any form of aggression however, the beast stared at them both, nodded its head in a rather human fashion, and offered them a paw (which Sammy noted looked disturbingly humanoid in its shape).
"I..."
"He's offering to shake...?" Abigail was just as confused by the creature's behaviour. "I think... I think it would be rude not to accept?"
"Well... I... Sure, this might as well happen." He took the offered paw. Next thing he knew, both he and Abigal were being carried away by a bipedal thing that looked like a wolf, but sure as hell didn't act like one.
Sammy was pretty sure this was a fairytale in the making.
Said creature ran pretty quickly on its hind legs while carrying a young adult and a teenager. Both who were too stunned to even make a peep.
They weren't even sure where they were, since they'd never really ventured so far into the woods before.
After what seemed like an eternity, they stopped by a tree stump. The wolf set them down and stretched, before motioning for them to stay put and going towards a small pond to take a drink.
".... Abigail?"
"Yes?"
"I'm never relenting to any of your requests ever again..."
"That's fair."
The wolf returned, tail wagging like a pleased dog. It appeared to be gesturing strangely at them, which left both scratching their heads in confusion. Noticing their looks, the wolf smacked its own muzzle and then proceeded to write in the dirt with it's big dirty claws.
'Thank you kindly, you folks saved my hide.'
"Oh my god it can write..." Sammy put his face in his hands. The absurdity of it all was making him feel hysterical.
The wolf wrote once more.
'Of course I can write. You never seen a werewolf before?'
"A werewolf!" Abigail gawked "I thought those weren't real..."
"They're not. I probably just hit my head and am hallucinating all of this..." He yelled once she'd pinched him. The wolf was still there and staring at him with what appeared to be an unamused look on its face. "Or maybe not..."
'You done?' it wrote, sounding quite sassy without even needing to vocalize it. 'As I was saying, you folks saved my hide, so I'm in your debt.'
"Debt? What do you mean...? Like, a favour for a favour?" Abigail frowned "We were just doing what was right, even though you were kind of stealing from us."
'Which is why I'm in your debt. I wronged you, but you still chose to be merciful. As such I'm offering you both my services.' the wolf bowed, and the two noted the pale spot on its chest just below its neck that made it look like it was wearing some sort of cravat. 'If you graciously accept, I will consult with my pack so as to request some leave for a while until I repay you in kind.'
"Is any of this necessary?" Sammy gulped. Having an intelligent wolf working for them felt a little odd.
'Very. It's the proper etiquette for us wolves. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. Be it in the good or bad sense.' the wolf bowed again. 'I was raised properly, unlike some of the other brutes that call themselves real wolves... A bunch of fools is what they are. Getting shot at and giving us all a bad name.'
Ironic considering he'd been stealing from a ranch and got shot at himself.
"I think it'd be rude not to accept such an offer." Abby finally said.
"Abigail!"
"Sammy, this is what we've been waiting for! If he can help us get to the big city, we could really start our lives!" The girl insisted. "Don't you want to be happy?"
'The big city uh? I got a home in New York, I could definitely show you kind folk around.'
"How does a wolf get a house in New York City?!" Sammy was a little incredulous at the claim.
'I'm only a wolf once a month, that's how. The commute to these parts is hell with how traffic is like there. Takes about three days to get here, and I usually spend the end of the month with my pack.' the wolf huffed 'Which is why I'm consulting with them if you accept. Deal, or no deal?'
Abigail stared at her brother pleadingly, and even the wolf's gaze was glued to him. Sammy didn't see a way out of this, and then again did he really want to?
"Fine, but we need to pack up..."
"Great!"
'Excellent, sun will be up in a few. I'll take you back to your home and meet with you in the morning. Keep a look out for a Norman Polk.'
And so it was.
The wolf snuck them back to the ranch, where they packed up their things as their father searched frantically for the escaped wolf. Once they were done, Abigail snuck their bags to the big tree they hung out by, and both sought out their father, explaining the beast had fled and they'd tried to chase it to no avail.
In the morning they are breakfast as usual, got washed up and dressed, then waited.
Near sundown, a tall and rather handsome man with only one eye approached them.
"Norman Polk?" Sammy asked.
"In the human meatsuit." The man bowed, grinning rather wolfishly. "Yous ready to depart?"
"Yes." Both replied giddily.
"Great. Let's get goin', before your crazy pa comes out with that bigass gun o' his..."
This really was like a fairytale. Where they got their happy ending thanks to a kindly entity that respected the olden rules of equivalent exchange.
Except instead of a fairy godmother, Sammy and Abby ended up with a werewolf indebted to them. A new start seemed like fair enough of an arrangement to repay them fully.

Merry Christmas Peachy!!! For @peachy-keener for Parkner Secret Santa event
---
Peter laid his head down on his books. He let out a muffled groan as Ned patted his back. MJ rolled her eyes from across the table. They were trying their best to get a last minute study session in before classes started.
“Come on, loser, it’s english,” MJ said. Peter huffed and sent her a mild glare.
“Says you.” Peter said. “All you ever do is read.”
Ned chuckled. “He’s not wrong MJ. English is so much easier for you than us.”
“Help us Michelle Jones, you’re our only hope.” Peter snickered as he said it, earning an eye roll.
“You’re both massive losers. It’s not that hard. But fine.” She leaned forward and began explaining just where they were wrong. MJ was halfway through her explanation when she was interrupted by Principal Morita walking up to their table. A tall girl followed closely behind him, her arms crossed and a scowl on her face.
“Oh you three will do,” Morita said. “Peter, MJ, Ned, this is our new student, Abbie Keener. Abbie is a junior, but she’s going to be taking a lot of senior classes, so I want you three to show her around.”
With that, he nodded to the four of them and walked out of the library.
MJ snorted. “Okay then.”
Peter, however, jumped up and grinned. He held out his hand to Abbie. “Hi, I’m Peter!”
Abbie raised an eyebrow at his outstretched hand but reluctantly reached out to shake it.
“Nice ta meet ya.” Her southern twang was rich.
“You too, Abbie.” Peter waved to the empty seat next to MJ. “This is MJ, who was oh so graciously helping us not fail English. And this is Ned.”
Abbie nodded to them, but otherwise said nothing.
“It was gracious of me, wasn’t it?” MJ smirked. “Why was I doing it again?”
“Because if you didn’t, we wouldn’t be going to NYU together next year,” Ned said. MJ huffed. “And what would you do without your soulmates?”
“Y’all are soul mates?” Abbie asked, clearly trying to assess the relationship with her eyes.
“Yeah, we’re all platonic soulmates,” Peter explained. He held out his left arm that had two phrases tattooed on it. MJ and Ned held out their wrists as well. “For me, the top one is Ned, because I first met him. Ned and MJ’s first was me too, even though MJ met us at the same time.”
Abbie studied his wrist, where the first phrase said ‘Do you like star wars?’ and the second said ‘Sup Losers.’
“Cool. My Brother’s my platonic.” She held out her left wrist. Peter saw that it said, ‘Hello, little sister.’
“Oh that’s adorable.” Peter grinned. Abbie grinned. Most people thought it was weird that her brother was her soulmate. “So, where are you and your brother from?”
“Tennessee,” Abbie answered easily. “My brother and I moved up here because he started at NYU this semester.”
Peter’s eyes lit up. “Oh cool! Are you planning on going there too?”
“Probably,” Abby explained with a grin. “I think i want to travel first.”
MJ nodded. “Same. Hard debating ditching these losers.”
Ned grabbed his chest, giving her an exaggerated gasp and the ultimate eyes of betrayal before crying out, “You would never!”
“Yeah, sorry MJ.” Peter shrugged. “After the whole ‘soulmate’ thing, you can’t really pretend not to like us.”
“I don’t know,” Abbie teased. “I’ll ditch my brother and you ditch them, and we can hit Europe.”
“The three of them can look after each other.” MJ agreed. She paused, looking between the boys. “Well, maybe.”
“Oh my god,” Peter gasped. “Ned, it finally happened. MJ found someone else who’ll be just as mean to us.”
He then wailed, burying his head in Ned’s shoulder. Ned, for his part, hugged Peter close and pretended to weep as well.
MJ stood up, both annoyed and affectionate. “Alright losers. Come on. We have class.”
“Ugh, I don’t want to go to class,” Peter groaned. Despite his dramatics, he looked to their new friend. “Abbie what classes do you have?”
Abbie pulled a schedule out of her backpack and handed it to them. It took only a few seconds for all three to look back up at her eagerly.
“Sweet!” Peter said. “You have most of your classes with us.” After he finished, he grabbed Ned and led the way out of the library. MJ snorted and pulled Abbie after her.
“Alright, Keener,” she said. “Looks like we’re adopting you.” --------
After that, Abbie easily merges into their friend group. She shares almost every class with at least one of them. This gives them all plenty of time together (especially she and Peter) and allows her to open up more. Her and MJ get on like a house on fire, making Peter and Ned sometimes wonder how they aren’t platonic soulmates, or maybe even romantic soulmates. Regardless, there’s nothing between them like that and they just all click. Abbie ends up invited to movie nights, lunch, and the occasional Aunt May sponsored thai food. She raises an amused eyebrow everytime Peter has to go to his ‘internship’ and everytime he has sprint out right after school.
It happened one day when Peter offered to walk Abbie home. He was rambling on and on about nanotechnology when it hit her. It hit her so hard she stopped walking, gaping at Peter.
“Abs?” He asked, eyebrows drawing in concern. He reached out and grabbed her shoulder. Abbie jolted out of her trance at his touch.
“Sorry. Just contemplating the inescapable chasm of loss in regards to abandonment.” Abbie pressed her lips together, trying to stop the onslaught of invasive and horrific thoughts. It was only natural. Harley and Peter were soulmates. There was no doubt in her mind that these two idiots would fucking love each other. The only problem was Abbie. They would run away together, and do science, and completely forget about her.
“Fucking mood. Literally my entire existence.” Peter snorted. Abbie raised an eyebrow.
“Who abandoned you?” She pried.
“Besides everyone? My parents dumped me on May and my Uncle Ben’s doorstop when I was like nine. Then, Ben died in my arms last year after a robbery. So, i get it. Whatever you got goin on, you’re not alone, and I’m not gonna abandon you. Never will.” Peter gave her a sad, lopsided smile, and Abbie melted. She launched herself at Peter, wrapping her arms around him. Peter gasped as Abbie knocked the wind out of him, but instinctively reciprocated.
“You’re great, ya know that Parker?” Peter shook his head and slung his arm around her. He led her down the street.
“I’m something. So, I shared. Who abandoned you?” Peter squeezed her shoulder. “Besides everyone?” Abbie smirked. “Dad left when I was a baby, but mom did the emotional abandonment thing. All I ever had was Harley.” Abbie shrugged. “Hopefully I’ll always have Harley.”
“Well, I’ve never met the mysterious brother whose never at your apartment, but based on everything I know about you and him, he wouldn’t leave you either. I mean he drug you all the way to New York because he refused to leave you at home didn’t he?” Abbie looked up.
“How in all seven hells did you know that?” She asked. Peter shrugged.
“Best guess.” He gave her his best dimples and a wink.
“You’re too smart for your own good Parker. But, I still appreciate it.” Peter stops at the door of her apartment building. “And for the record. I won’t abandon you either.” Peter lit up like a christmas tree. “Now get outta here. I know you have stuff to do.” Abbie winked and sauntered through the door. Peter shook his head, but slipped into the alley next to the building.
---------
“Does he really believe he’s bein’ subtle about the whole Spiderman thing?” Abbie asked one day, watching Peter sprint across the courtyard. MJ rolled her eyes and Ned gaped at her, already trying to find excuses to explain Peter’s behavior.
“Unfortunately.” MJ despaired.
“Ya know. I think it’s time y’all met Harley.” She was still staring after Peter.
“Because?” Ned asked.
“Because I just have a feelin’.” Abbie said as explanation. “We can go meet him now, if you’d like. Then y’all’ll definitely know what I'm talkin’ about.”
MJ shrugged and closed her book. “Might as well. Ned?”
“Why not?” Ned nodded.
Abbie led the duo through New York, stopping at the entrance to a run down garage. “You’re sure he’s here?” Ned asked. Abbie held up her wrist, staring at the invisible string she knew was there.
“Yep. I’m sure. Come on.” Abbie pushed opened the door and led them through the waiting area. Music boomed the minute she opened the door. ACDC almost burst their eardrums. When they reached the garage portion, MJ raised an eyebrow at the sports cars, while Ned was too preoccupied with the state of the art parts strewn around the room. “Yo, Harls!” Abbie yelled over the music, pointing to a car with it’s hood up. They noted the shirtless man leaning over it. He stood up and yelled at the ceiling, turning off the music. He pulled a rag from his pocket and wiped his hands.
When he turned around MJ snorted. Ned grinned.
“Ya’ll must be Abbie’s friends. I’m Harley.” The southern dripped off his lips, sweeter than tea.
“Well, fuck Keener. You had a feeling, huh?” MJ asked. Ned shook his head.
“Just a feelin’.” Abbie answered.
“I’m missing something.” Harley said, his lips twisting into a scowl.
“You’ll find out soon enough.” Ned grinned at him. “I’m Ned, this is MJ.” MJ jerked her head, smirk still dancing on her lips.
“Peter couldn’t make it. But, i’ll bring him by tomorrow, if thats cool?” Abbie asked.
“Yeah, you know that’s cool. So, y’all go to nerd school?” Harley asked.
“The nerdiest.” MJ confirmed.
“Is that the beginnings of a sublight engine?” Ned asked, pointing to a massive pile of parts on a nearby cart.
“Hell yes!” Harley grinned. He began to explain how he was making it. MJ leaned toward Abbie.
“This is the best feelin’ you’ve ever had. And i’m personally upset you didn’t tell me sooner.
“It just hit me a couple weeks ago. There’s no way they aren’t soulmates.” MJ grinned at Abbie, who hip checked her.
“When are you bringing him? I so want to see it.” MJ stared at Ned, a rare soft smile on her face.
“Tomorrow for sure. I wanted to make sure y’all agreed with me. We can do the exact same thing.”
“Do you know what Harley’s soulmark says?” MJ aked. Abbie grinned evily.
“Oh yes. And you won’t want to miss it.” Abbie collapsed on a couch near the wall and watched Ned and Harley nerd out over Star Wars and mechanics.
“Fucking losers.” MJ said fondly, sitting next to Abbie. They stayed for another hour, plotting the lovely demise of Peter Parker into the abyss that was Harley Keener. Ned and Harley kept getting more excited as the moved from engine to engine. MJ pulled Ned away after a while, offering to walk him home. As soon as the door closed, Ned turned to her with a grin.
“MJ. He’s fucking perfect.” Ned vibrated with excitement.
“Intelligence?” MJ asked.
“Off the charts. No way they won’t be on the same level. Also, did you see the abs?” Ned asked.
“You mean the ones literally showing through his shirt? I saw. The honeyed accent is no slouch either. I’m thrilled to see what happens tomorrow.” MJ hugged Ned when they reached his apartment and practically skipped to hers.
-----
“I can’t believe I missed meeting Harley!” Peter groaned.
“We’ll go back today so we can meet him,” Abbie rolled her eyes. Peter lit up, a grin gracing his lips, and his dimples gracing Abbie. After class MJ and Ned led the way to the garage, having a heated debate on MJ’s latest book. Abbie was studiously ignoring Peter as he tried to pry information out of her.
“Come on, you never tell us about him. I’ve been so curious. I mean he’s your platonic soulmate and that’s adorable.” Abbie rolled her eyes at him.
“You’ll meet him in just a minute, Parker. Calm the fuck down.” Abbie bumped his hip against Peter’s. The boy huffed and crossed his arms. MJ opened the door to the shop, and they were once again blasted with ACDC. Peter’s eyebrows jumped in surprise.
Harley was working on the same car when they walked in, but this time, he was under it. Abbie walked up and hit the hood of the car. Harley’s legs jerked as he jumped in surprise.
“Ow! Fuck! Abbie!” Harley rolled out from under the car and jumped up, glaring at his sister. She gave him a sweet smile.
“Sorry Harls. Just letting you know we’re here. Also, you didn’t meet him yesterday. This is Peter.” Abbie flung her arm out, pulling Peter out from behind MJ and Ned. Peter’s eyes widened, following the line of grease smudged on Harley’s neck.
“Oh you. Fuck me.” Peter muttered. Harley grinned and leaned back onto the car. Harley held up his wrist that said ‘Oh you. Fuck me’ in Peter’s notorious chicken scratch.
“Maybe not now, but hopefully soon, darlin’.” Harley smirked as Peter’s eyes widened. MJ and Ned were trying their hardest not to laugh. Peter held up his matching wrist and grinned.
“Well, who'd've thought.” Abbie smirked, grinning between the two who she now thought of as her brothers.

Under Pressure - Chapter 3 - Eddie/Buck
Life takes an interesting turn when Buck’s latest hook up turns out to be his new coworker as well.
About a week after Eddie shows up at the firehouse and starts a panic for Buck.
words: 2316 warnings: sexual content, swearing
Sitting in his parked car outside the firehouse, Buck smiled as he texted Eddie. ”You still coming over?” He texted and started his engine. ”Yeah, be there soon. Pick us up some food? Starving” Eddie texted back. Buck grinned and started driving to his favorite Chinese place that had take away.
Unlocking the front door, Buck smiled as he saw a bottle of wine and a glass on the counter. Eddie was here already. Putting the food in the living room, he grinned wider as he heard the shower going. Taking off his jumper, he started walking to the bathroom, undressing as he went. Sneaking into the bathroom, he checked his hair looked good before grasping the shower curtain. ”I didn’t thi..” Buck said as he opened the curtain before screaming. ”Maddie?!”
Maddie screamed as well and grabbed the shower curtain and covered her body with it. ”Jesus, Buck, don’t you knock?” Maddie asked shocked and looked at him before grimacing and looking at the wall. Buck blushed and grabbed a towel that was nearby and covered himself. ”Me?! What the hell are you even doing here?” Buck asked shocked. ”Well I was in town and wanted to see my little brother!” Maddie replied and tightened her hold on the shower curtain. ”Well.. you did” Buck shrugged and grimaced. ”Yeah” Maddie said and gave him a look. They both stared at each other for like two seconds. ”I should go, I’m gonna, yep” Buck said and held on to the towel as he walked out of the bathroom.
”Oh my god” he muttered and started picking his clothes back up and getting dressed again. Looking up as there was knocking on the front door, Buck groaned again and hurried to close his belt and pull his jumper back on. ”Eddie!” Buck said cheerily. ”So something came up and” Buck started. ”Buck! You took my towel!” Maddie shouted from the bathroom. Eddie crossed his hands over his chest and looked at Buck. ”It’s not what it sounds like, hold on” Buck grabbed his arm and dragged him inside. ”Please don’t go until I’ve explained” Buck said, looking at him desperately before grabbing the towel off the counter and putting his hand over his eyes as he opened the bathroom door again and held his hand out for Maddie to grab the towel.
Closing the door behind him again, Buck ran back to Eddie. ”Okay, listen, so here’s what happened! I came home, saw a bottle of wine and the glass on the counter, thought you were here already, put the food away, heard the shower, got undressed to join you and it wasn’t you. It was my sister, we screamed, we freaked out, I came back out, got dressed and then you knocked and… are you laughing?” Buck rambled before asking Eddie and looked at him somewhat offended.
Eddie cleared his throat. ”What? No” He chuckled. ”Maybe a little. Did you really walk in on your sister in the shower?” He asked and laughed. ”Eddie, I’m traumatized for life and you’re laughing” Buck pouted and crossed his arms over his chest. Eddie laughed and walked over to Buck and wrapped his arms around him. ”I’m sorry I laughed but it’s a little funny” he said and pulled back. ”I’m guessing you didn’t know she was coming here?” Eddie asked and leaned against the counter. ”Well clearly!” Buck huffed before shaking his head. ”No. We haven’t really talked in like three years” he continued and glanced towards the bathroom to make sure Maddie was out yet. ”It’s complicated” Buck frowned, looking at the floor.
Eddie nodded. ”It sounds like you guys have a lot to talk about so I’m going to head out. Call me later?” He asked. ”No, you don’t have to go!” Buck protested. ”I got food from that Chinese place. And your favorite dish” Eddie smiled. ”You’re very sweet, baby, thank you but you two should talk. At least 60% of what I had hoped to talk or do with you would be highly inappropriate to do with your sister here anyway so” Eddie pressed a kiss to Buck’s cheek. ”I’ll see you later” Eddie smiled at Buck’s disappointed face. ”I’ll get your food before you go” he sighed and headed to the living room.
Smiling as he watched him go, Eddie stood up straighter as he heard the bathroom door open and watched as brunette woman came out. He raised his hand and gave a little wave as she approached. ”Hi, I’m Eddie. I work with your brother” He said, introducing himself. ”Hi, I’m Maddie, Buck’s sister. It’s nice to meet you” Maddie smiled and they both turned to look at Buck as he came into the kitchen. He handed over the boxes of food to Eddie. ”Okay, thanks for this. I’ll just be going than” Eddie said and gave them both a smile before turning around. ”Bye, drive safe. I’ll call you later” Buck called after him before he closed the front door.
”So, think there’s any way we’re ever going to unsee that?” Buck asked as he reached for the kettle to boil up some water for some tea. Maddie chuckled. ”Oh come on, I used to give you baths” she replied. ”Yeah, when I was two!” Buck protested. ”How did you even get in here?” he asked and grabbed two mugs from the cupboard and put them on the counter. ”I told the building manager I was your sister” Maddie explained and sat down on one of the chairs. ”Having boobs didn’t hurt” she added. Buck shot her a look before putting the box of tea bags on the table. ”So how’s Doug?” Buck asked quietly as he looked at her.
Maddie sighed and looked through the tea bags before finding one she wanted. ”I don’t know, I don’t care” Maddie said as she opened the bag and put it in her cup. ”You left him?” Buck asked surprised. ”Yeah. Finally. Everyone was right about him” she replied. Buck grabbed the kettle as the water started boiling and filled up Maddie’s cup before filling up his own. ”No one really knows I left, so please don’t tell anyone. I don’t want word getting around I’m here” Maddie explained. ”Not an amicable split then?” Maddie just looked at him. ”I’m just laying low for awhile” she shrugged. Buck didn’t really know what to say to that. ”So, what happened to you? This place is nice. It’s clean and you have proper porcelain cups” Maddie asked and held up her cup to make a point. Buck chuckled and started explaining.
—
Waking up the next morning, Buck groaned as he rose from the sofa and stretched out. Seeing a note on the coffee table he picked it up and read it. ”Gone out to be a tourist. Back later. M” Buck yawned and put the note in the kitchen as he grabbed his phone. Dialing Eddie, he rubbed his eyes and waited for him to pick up.
”Hello?” Eddie answered the phone. ”Hi, it’s me, can I come over?” Buck asked and checked if there was any coffee in the pot. ”Yeah, is everything okay with you and your sister?” He asked. Buck nodded. ”Yeah. We talked. She says she’s only staying for a few days but I don’t know. She’s gone out to be a tourist apparently so I want to see you” Buck sighed and put his shoes on. Grabbing his wallet and keys, he headed out the door. ”Okay, I’ll see you soon than” Eddie replied. Buck smiled as he hung up the phone and took the lift down to the parking garage.
—
Knocking on the door at Eddie’s place, Buck grinned as he opened the door. ”Hi” he greeted him and stepped into the apartment. When Eddie closed the door behind him, Buck wrapped him up in a hug and sighed happily as Eddie hugged him back. ”First off, it’s really weird being here knowing what we did last time I came over” Buck said as he pulled back. Eddie laughed and led him into the living room, sitting down on the sofa. ”What about me coming to your place?” Eddie asked. ”Don’t be logical, it makes my brain hurt” Buck joked as he stared at Eddie’s bedroom door.
”Buck? Whats going on in there?” Eddie asked and tapped gently on Buck’s head. Sighing, Buck turned his head to look at him. ”Too much” he started with a grim smile. ”Trying to act normal at work, figuring out how to act around you, think about you. And now Maddie is here. And I think she’s in trouble. Her husband isn’t a kind man I guess you could say” Buck scratched his neck. Eddie moved closer and opened his arms in invitation. Buck hesitated for a second before getting close and cuddling up to Eddie.
”I’m sorry for everything that’s going on with your sister. I suppose all you can do is let her know that you are here for her and that the whole firehouse is behind you. Neither of you are alone. There’s strength in numbers. When she’s ready” Eddie said softly as he rubbed his hand up and down Buck’s back. ”Now when it comes to work, I can’t decide that for you. However, I would like to take you out on a date” Eddie said. Buck pulled back and looked up at him. ”Really?” He asked with a little smile and a slight blush. ”Yes, really” Eddie teased back. ”I should tell you that on my last date I nearly died and Abby had to do an emergency tracheotomy on me. In the restaurant. On the floor. In front of everyone” Buck sighed.
Eddie looked at him shocked. ”How? What? I swear to god I’m going to wrap you up in bubblewrap and spoon feed you liquids only so you’re safe” Eddie said amused and pulled him back in for more cuddles. ”I only told you so you know what you’re getting yourself into. I’m a bit accident prone” Buck chuckled. ”You sure you want to go on a date with me?” Buck half joked. Eddie smiled and put his hand on Buck’s head to tilt his head up. ”I am” he said confidently before leaning in and giving him a little kiss.
”Now tell me how you ended up with an emergency tracheotomy so I know what danger signs to look for” Eddie smiled. ”Well, I was eating bread” Buck said slowly. ”And then I choked” he finished with a shrug. ”Okay so soup place for our first date. Maybe we can work up to eating solids on the second or third date” Eddie chuckled. ”You suck!” Buck groaned and poked Eddie in the chest. ”Now see I remember you sucking” Eddie whispered into Buck’s ear. ”Did such a good job too” Buck promptly melted on the spot.
”Eddie!” Buck groaned. ”You can’t say things like that” he pouted and put his arms over his chest as he pulled away. ”Aww, why not? What if I want to talk about how good your lips felt around my dick? Coming down your throat, listening to all those precious little sounds you made?” Eddie teased and put his hand on Buck’s crotch. Buck shuddered and gripped Eddie’s hand. ”I think you love me telling you how much of a good boy you are. Did you know how hard I’d get when we’d be texting? How I would jerk off to the pictures of your lips, your cock and ass?” Buck whimpered as his cock twitched in his pants and he gave Eddie’s hand a squeeze and tried to move it. ”Yeah, you like it” Eddie smirked before leaning in and kissing him firmly whilst he worked on unzipping Buck’s pants.
”Lift your ass up” Eddie said as he broke the kiss. Buck quickly obliged and Eddie dragged down Buck’s pants enough so his dick was free. Eddie ran his thumb over Buck’s cock head before bringing his hand up, he stroked his index and middle finger over Buck’s lips before easing them in. ”Get them nice and wet for me” he said, moving them in and out. Buck moaned and kept eye contact with Eddie as he sucked and licked at Eddie’s fingers. ”See? There you go being such a good boy for me” Buck closed his eyes and moaned.
Pulling his wet fingers out of Buck’s mouth, he wrapped them around his cock and started stroking it up and down. ”Eddie” Buck said breathlessly and jerked up into the hand. Eddie pressed a kiss to Buck’s head and started stroking him faster. ”Oh god” Buck moaned and grasped Eddie’s free hand tightly. ”I’m going to cum” he moaned and looked at Eddie. Eddie just smirked wider and increased his speed and held him a bit firmer. ”Sir, sir, fuck, Eddie!” Buck groaned as he shuddered, coming hard as his whole body did a little spasm.
Breathing heavily, Buck leaned on Eddie on and whimpered as he continued to stroke his cock for a while more. ”Look at you, got your t-shirt all messy. Guess you’ll have to take it off and wear one of mine when you need to go” Eddie said innocently as he wiped his dirty hand on the t-shirt, spreading the cum and spit even more on the shirt before grasping the edge and pulling it off. Buck covered his nipples and cock with his hands. ”You did all of that on purpose!” Buck accused Eddie. Eddie threw the shirt to the floor before pushing Buck down on his back and pulling off his pants completely. ”Sure did, pretty boy, sure did” He grinned as he straddled Buck and started kissing him again. ”Any protests?” He asked as he bit Buck’s bottom lip. ”God, no” Buck moaned and kissed him back eagerly.

hot chocolate - jack hughes
summary: when brady comes to visit his favorite hockey family, he learns that his honorary little brother is having some girl trouble.
warnings: swearing, who knows what else
word count: [3,088]
a/n: to the anon who sent this blurb, i love you, and hope you like it:)
“So what’s it been like without me here to keep you all in line?” Brady asked with a cocky smirk. Your eyes rolled at the boy you’d known since he played with Quinn. “Hey none of that Y/n, you know you missed me. Nobody can pick on you if I’m not here.” You shook your head before glancing around the basement looking at all three Hughes brothers.
“You act like world stops because you leave Brady,” Quinn teased nudging his friends shoulder. “But don’t worry, I pick on Y/n/n enough for the both of us. Seeing as Jack and Luke refuse to.” This caused both of their cheeks to flush red, and to rub your neck not knowing what to say.
Clearing your throat you stood up from your seat next to Jack smiled down at him, “I’m gonna go grab more hot chocolate do you want any?”
Jack’s mouth opened but he was beat to it by Luke, “I would love some thanks.” Quinn and Brady joined in saying they needed more but you ignore them, eyes focused on Jack’s blue ones.
“I would love some, thanks Y/n,” Jack smiled before handing you his cup. Licking your thumb you watched as he knitted his eyebrows together as you wiped away the dried up hot chocolate on the corner of his mouth. He smiled wider before his eyes dropped, so they weren’t meeting yours as his cheeks became a darker red color.
Brady faked a cough cause you to whip around and glare at him. “What about the rest of us who wanted more hot chocolate?” He asked eyebrows raised as he looked past you to a blushing Jack.
Your shoulders shrugged as you started to the stairs. “Get it yourselves, I asked Jack not you idiots. You have legs, use them Tkachuk,” you sassed before disappearing up the stairs. Leaving the four boys in the basement by themselves.
“Luke go check to see if Y/n is really upstairs,” Quinn said already on the same page as Brady, causing Jack’s eyes to go wide. The youngest Hughes brother sighed before standing up and racing up the stairs, only to come racing back down nodding his head.
Brady smirked before moving to the edge of his seat. “So are you and Y/n finally dating J? Or what as that all about?” He asked already knowing the answer, but he had to ask to make sure he had his attention. Jack’s mouth went dry as he tried to think of what to say, but nothing came to mind as leaned further back into the couch.
All he wanted was to be swallowed whole by it so he could save himself from the embarrassment that was about to happen. “No they aren’t,” Luke spoke making sure to smile over at his older brother, “he’s too chicken to ask her out.”
“I am not!” Jack cried leaning forward glaring over at his younger brother, “It’s just I-I don’t wanna mess things up, that’s all.”
Quinn scoffed before looking over to Brady who was shaking his head in disbelief. “You wouldn’t mess anything up J, so that’s a bunch of bullshit,” he stated looking back at him with a straight face, “She obviously likes you Jack.”
Brady and Luke nodded quick to agree with Quinn. “You’re telling me, that you, Jack Hughes are having trouble locking Y/n L/n, your best friend since forever down? Now I just don’t believe it, not when she’s clearly just as into you as you are her.”
“Well believe it,” Jack mumbled glancing down to his phone praying that you didn’t walk back downstairs and hear what they were saying. The last thing he wanted was for you to find out he was basically head over heels in love with you, and ruin everything. “And she’s definitely not into me, trust me I know.”
All three of them started laughing expect for Jack who sat there unsure of what to do. “I’ve been trying to convince him that there’s no way a girl would do his homework for him if she didn’t at least want to hook-up,” Quinn informed causing the burning sensation to begin on Jack’s cheeks again. “And don’t try to pull it off as, ‘she’s my best friend’, because everyone knows she’s whipped for you.”
Jack’s head dropped back on to the couch trying to get rid of this conversation. “He does anything for her too,” Luke added causing Brady to raise a brow, looking for confirmation from Quinn.
“Oh god yeah,” he breathed grinning like the Grinch. “He’s so whipped it’s honestly disgusting. Y/n/n could tell him to stop breathing and he would. If she asks for anything, before any of us can say we got it, Jack’s sprinting out of the room to do it for her.” Brady let out a laugh never having heard this about Jack before.
“What about the time he went over to her house in the middle of the night?” Luke asked ratting Jack out to Quinn and Brady. That was something no one was supposed to know about.
All of their heads turned to focus back on the brown haired hockey player who was pulling on his curls. “You snuck out?” Quinn quizzed, surprised the golden boy of the family would do something like that.
“Oh please do tell the story,” Brady egged him on wanting to know every last detail of what happened. Jack shook his head trying to drop the story, because if it wasn’t obvious before that he was in love with you, it was now. “Oh come on J, you never snuck out for your other girlfriends - and Y/n/n isn’t even your girlfriend. So spill or we’ll be here all night.”
Jack frowned before finally giving into to the peer pressure the three were providing. “I dunno, Y/n/n just called me in the middle of the night after she woke up from a nightmare, so I went over there to make sure she was okay, that’s all,” he muttered before standing up from his seat. “I’m gonna go check on her, do you guys want more hot chocolate?” He then asked trying to get out of this conversation.
The three shared a look before all nodding, “Yeah but this isn’t over Jack. It’s far from over.” His blue eyes rolled before he collected all of their cups and walked up the stairs to find you. Only when he walked into the kitchen where you were supposed to be he found it empty. Confused he peered around the wall to look into the living room, and found you sitting on the couch with two cups of hot chocolate in your hands.
Jack’s smile worked its way back on to his face as he watched you throw your head back and laugh at something his dad had said, and the way you smiled. God he felt his heart squeeze, and he realized that his brothers and Brady were right - he was whipped for you. So sighing he walked back into the kitchen quickly making the drinks before heading back downstairs.
Everyone was in their same spots as they waited for Jack to get back. “So to get back on track,” Brady started, “Y/n called you in the middle of the night, after having a nightmare, and you still think that she doesn’t like you? Jack she called you, that has to mean something. She doesn’t talk to just anybody after she has one.”
“Yeah, I know. That doesn’t mean she’s in love with me like I am her,” he huffed, it slipping out faster than he could comprehend what he had just said. Quinn, Brady, and Luke all wore the same stupid knowing smile making Jack hide his face in his hands. “Oh fuck.”
Brady and Quinn were quick to high-five, getting what they had wanted from the middle child. “Jack you’re about to be picked first overall in the next draft, your an attractive little shit and you know it, and based on your last two girlfriends there’s no way you don’t have game,” Brady then said making Jack glare over at him. “But you still haven’t managed to lock down the only girl that should’ve ever been on your radar?”
Jack let out an angry breath, not enjoying the fact that he had just been called out. “Yeah I know okay? But I’m scared, and I, god I’m pathetic,” he laughed dropping down into his seat. “I can’t even get the nerves to ask out my best friend who I’m in love with.” Quinn and Luke shared sad smiles, while Brady grinned, his plan worked. Now all that was left was for Jack to go admit this all to you. “Why can’t I tell Y/n?” He then asked, voice desperate.
“Maybe because you’ve never felt like this before?” Luke asked not completely understanding what his brother was saying. “Like you obviously didn’t feel like this about Abby,” he added trying his hardest be be helpful.
“Little man’s gotta point J,” Quinn added with a shrug of his shoulders. "This whole time you should’ve been looking at Y/n/n, but what if you weren’t because you were scared of how you felt? Scared to admit you’re in love with your best friend.” Jack sighed everything hitting him at once, how was he supposed to admit it to you, if he just admitted it to himself?
“How am I supposed to tell her that? What if you guys are wrong, and she doesn’t feel the same? How can you be so sure, I don’t think I could handle the idea of not having Y/n in my life, and if telling her fucks it all up? I couldn’t live with with myself,” Jack gushed letting out the breath he didn’t know he was holding in.
Brady laughed causing everyone to turn and face him, thinking he had gone crazy for laughing after Jack had just poured his heart out. “What if we’re right Jack? You’re supposed to tell her just like that. It’s Christmas, miracles happen right?”
After seeing the hurt look that crossed his younger brothers face Quinn smacked Brady upside the head causing him to yelp. “You dumbass, now he’s not going to tell her. Miracles happen? Brady you’re so dumb sometimes.” His eyes rolled before Quinn turned his attention back to Jack. “Listen J, all you have to do is be honest with her. It’s just you and Y/n, nothing could ever come between that.”
Jack’s head nodded as he slowly processed what his brother had just said. Even when he had a girlfriend they could never come between you guys, nobody could. “It’s true Jack, remember when you and Abby were dating? You’d literally go run to Y/n anytime something was wrong,” Luke pointed out, “and even with Chelsea. It’s clearly always been Y/n.”
He ran his hands through his hair already knowing that both relationships ended because of him, but he just realized that it was because he was in love with you while he was in both of them. “I’m gonna tell her,” he announced standing from his spot on the couch again. “I have to tell her.”
The other three jumped up from their seats cheering. “It’s about damn time Jackie, I’ve only been waiting for my two favorite seventeen year olds to get together since two years ago,” Brady teased before pushing him towards the stars, “Now go get your girl.”
Taking a deep breath Jack hurried up the stairs, all of the boys following him. The sound of their feet hitting against the stairs caused you to turn away from the conversation you were having with Jim to look at the two cups in your hand. Your eyes went wide realizing you were supposed to going back downstairs, but had gotten pulled into the living room before you escape back to the boys.
“So this is where you ran off to,” Brady quipped a smirk growing on his face, “couldn’t handle me picking on you anymore?” Ellen rushed to your defense taking all the blame while Jack slyly made his way over to you.
While everyone was focused on Brady and Ellen you turned to smile up at the boy. “Here’s your hot chocolate, expect it might be cold now, sorry about that Jackie.”
He couldn’t help but smile down at you, taking the now cold cup from your hand. “It’s okay Y/n/n, it’s mom’s fault really she always steals you away from me,” Jack explained making you laugh at him. “But um - could we talk?” He then asked eyes looking down at his cup, and away from you e/c ones.
“Aren’t we right now J?” You asked with a teasing smile, and as soon as he opened his mouth to speak you cut him off, “I’m kidding, of course we can.” You stood up and walked towards the sliding glass door to step outside.
Jack stood by the door as you stepped out into the cold Michigan winter, “Y/n/n it’s freezing, and it’s snowing, why don’t we just talk in my room?”
“Jack Hughes are you telling me you’re scared to get a little cold?” You teased grabbing his hand and pulling him closer to you, when he didn’t answer you, you smiled even more, “If you get cold I’ll sleep with you in your bed tonight and we can cuddle.”
A cheeky smile worked its way onto his face as he allowed you to pulled him out onto the deck. “Y/n, I’m cold,” he whined a mischievous light in his eyes. Rolling your own you handed him the warm cup of hot chocolate Ellen had given you after you finished the one were supposed to bring back into the basement. “I thought if I got cold I got cuddles, this isn’t cuddles Y/n/n,” he pouted before taking a sip of the drink.
“And you will, but we still have to talk remember? But we got make it quick or else Santa won’t come and bring us presents,” you jibbed with a cheeky smile of your own.
“Haha very funny Y/n,” he stated making you smile even more, “but why would he need to bring me a present when it’s you?” Your mouth went dry, and your cheeks flushed red. Quicky you looked to the ground unable to hold his gaze anymore. “Hey why are you looking at the ground, when I’m right here silly?” He gently grabbed your chin making you look up back up at him so you could see the love that filled his eyes, something you’d noticed a long time ago, but now it felt different.
“W-what do you mean I’m the present Jack? Do you - do you like me?” You stuttered not sure if you completely understood what was happening. You looked to his lips watching as his tongue darted out to wet them. “B-because I-”
“I love you actually,” he replied coolly, and for a split second his eyes dipped to your lips. “I’ve been in love with you for awhile Y/n/n, but I was scared to admit it, and now all I can think about is how good your lips would feel against mine. How bad I wanna kiss you, how bad I needa kiss you,” he whispered out leaning in closer to you.
You were so caught up in the moment, in what Jack was saying, you didn’t even realize you hadn’t said it back to him, but it didn’t stop you from going to extra couple of centimeters to place your lips onto his. Your hands dropped onto his chest and you lightly gripped on to his ugly sweater. When you pulled away your eyes were still closed until he spoke.
“Wow,” he breathed with a lopsided smile, “that’s better than I could ever have imagined.”
Your head nodded. “Yeah, I uh, never thought it would be like that,” you confessed cheeks heating up as his blue eyes kept looking from your lips to your eyes again. Then you took a breath and smiled wider, “Oh, I love you too by the way.”
The smile that broke out on his face was contagious, and you could feel your heart swooning. Jack’s arms wrapped around your waist as he pulled you up off the ground and spun you around. “Jack!” You squealed burying your head into the crook of his neck, “Put me down!”
His laugh caused your heart to flutter, as you held onto him tighter than before. Once he set you down his hands rested on your cheeks and you could feel just how cold he was, “So Y/n L/n, does this mean you’ll be the best Christmas Eve present I’ve ever got, and be my girlfriend?”
You nodded your head, smiling so wide that your cheeks started to hurt. “Yes Jack Hughes, I’ll be your girlfriend.” And before either of you could say anything else everyone was piling out into the winter air, lead by Brady.
“And to think, none of this would’ve happened without me giving you the push Jackie,” he teased pulling your now boyfriend from your arms so he could give him a hug. “I’m proud of you, both of you actually. You’re all grown up.”
Jack looked over at you before he shrugged his shoulders his smile never leaving his face, even if Brady got to say he was the reason Jack finally admitted everything to you. “I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m freezing, and was promised cuddles if I got cold. So if you’d excuse us, I’m owed some much needed cuddles.”
Before you could protest Jack was dragging you away for cuddles with that same lopsided smile on his face. Shutting the door to his room he turned around to face you, “I love you Y/n/n.”
You hummed before laying back on the bed, “Say it again Jack.”
He chuckled before laying down next to you, “I love you Y/n, and I - god I can’t believe i actually get to call you mine now.” The both of you just stared at each other with large grins.
“Well it took you long enough,” you giggled pushing a curl off of his face, “but I love you too J. Even if I have to thank Brady for us getting together.”

closed our eyes and took on the world together
I don’t know why-- I just wanted to add one more story to the I’ll always wear the crown that you gave me universe - a lil wedding day fluff was just what it needed
also on ao3
------
we were crazy, tragic and epic, and so amazing I’ll always wear the crown that you gave me we will always stay lost in forever and they’ll remember we were legends
------
“You know what would be funny?”
Clarke smiles, knowing her best friend too well. Still, she plays along. “What?”
“If you married my brother,” Octavia says, trying to shrug it off with a grin, but Clarke can see the joy on her face. She thinks Octavia is almost as happy as she is, and she’s the one getting married today.
Even so, Clarke laughs, standing to wrap her arms around her maid of honor. She holds her close, fighting back the tightness in her throat. “Thank you for everything you’ve done for today. I don’t know what I would have done without you.”
Octavia’s slim arms wrap around Clarke’s shoulders. “Of course. I honestly can’t even tell you how happy I am that you two finally figured this out. I’ve only been waiting for it my whole life.”
“I know it took us a while,” Clarke murmurs, letting Octavia go. “But we’re here now.”
Octavia smiles. “I know. And you look perfect, all that’s left is the dress and accessories. Bell is going to lose his mind when he sees you.”
“Mind if I intrude?”
Abby pokes her head in the door, looking almost somber. It’s been unsettled at best between Clarke and her mother for the last few years. Clarke is currently working as a free-lance artist and doing other side jobs for the city, murals and the like, while Abby is still hung up on the fact that she could have been a doctor by now.
(If only she hadn’t “thrown it all away”.)
“It’s not intruding. You’re my mom.” Clarke does her best to smile, finding it easier than she expected. Even despite everything, she’s happy her mom is here.
She thinks so, anyway.
Octavia excuses herself for a moment, maybe to go check on her brother. She’s been so busy, between being the maid of honor and sister of the groom. Clarke isn’t even sure how she’s managed it all.
It’s probably why Clarke misses her presence—she could have been a good buffer between Clarke and her mother.
Abby smiles, though, eyes glistening. “You look beautiful.”
“Thank you.” Clarke glances at herself in the mirror, smiling a little to herself.
There’s a pause, and Clarke thinks she recognizes the heaviness of it. Please, don’t, she begs mentally, willing her mom not to ruin her wedding day.
“I still don’t agree with the choices you’ve made for yourself,” Abby says, looking at Clarke’s dress on the mannequin. She reaches out to run a finger gently down the fabric, almost absentmindedly. “But of the ones you’ve made, I think I like Bellamy the best.”
Clarke swallows, willing herself not to get stressed over a conversation she’s had a million times. She decides to respond to what’s the easiest. “I think he’s my best decision, too, mom. So, thanks, I guess.”
Abby doesn’t stay much longer, any words they share only taking up a limited amount of time. There is only so much they can say before Abby’s disappointment shines through. When she’s gone, Clarke still feels tears prick at her vision as she slumps in her chair. She wishes things were different, that she still had a mom who cared.
To be fair, though, she isn’t sure she ever did.
It’s times like this where she misses Aurora, misses simple summers with sunburned cheeks and her two best friends. She wonders if Aurora would have helped her get ready today, standing beside Octavia while they fussed over her hair and makeup.
She definitely would have—Clarke wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Her dad is here somewhere, she reminds herself. Seeing him later might make her feel better.
“Hey, so I thought, after talking to your mom, you might need a little… well, more than me.”
Clarke looks up at her best friend’s voice, but Octavia has slipped through the door once again, leaving just Bellamy.
Bellamy.
He’s got on a still half unbuttoned dress shirt and his dress pants, like he was yanked out of his own changing room in the middle of doing his buttons. Even not finished, he looks like he walked right out of a fairytale to her.
“You’re not supposed to see me before the wedding,” she reprimands, though she’s already standing to wrap herself in him arms. Her body immediately relaxes, feeling like she’s home.
“Hmm,” he hums into her temple, arms tight around her. “Well, Octavia says you’re not completely ready yet, so.”
She pulls away just enough to look up at him, her heart beating steadier already. “I guess that could be a loophole. At least I’m not wearing the dress yet.”
“See? We’ll be fine,” he tells her, reaching up to brush his knuckles against her cheek. “Are you okay? What did your mom say?”
“That, according to her, you’re the best decision I’ve ever made.” She considers him, squeezing gently at his hips. “Her scale is different than mine, but that’s still something we can agree on, I guess.”
Bellamy smiles, wide and exuberant. God, she loves him. “I love you so much,” he says, echoing her thoughts.
“I love you, too,” she reciprocates, leaning up to press her lips against his briefly. “And I’m okay. Thanks for coming to check on me.”
“Always, princess.” He taps his thumb against her jaw. “It’s you and me against the world from now on, anyway.”
“I think it already was,” she tells him, watching with fascination as he blushes just a little. His head ducks for just a moment, like even after all this time, her affection still shakes him.
“Octavia will be very disappointed to hear that,” is what he winds up saying when he meets her eyes again.
“Please, she’s simply beside herself today. This wedding is just as much for her as it is us.”
Bellamy grins, leaning down to kiss her again. “Just think, next time I kiss you, we’ll be officially married.”
Her answering smile hurts her cheeks. “Can’t wait.”
Everything goes beautifully, somehow. Bellamy tears up when she walks down the aisle, wiping a hand over his mouth. The weather is gorgeous, and their first kiss as husband and wife feels magical. Even so, it’s over so quickly that she’s eternally grateful for the photography crew that they hired. She doesn’t have to worry about capturing anything, but she knows that she’ll have more than enough captured for her.
Before she knows it, she’s sitting next to Bellamy in the reception hall, and everyone is finishing up their food. Glasses of wine are everywhere, and music is playing throughout the room. Octavia is sitting next to her, though she’s talking to Raven on her other side.
Bellamy reaches over for her hand, picking it up and rubbing his thumb against her wrist.
“You wore your bracelet,” he says, and when she looks up at him, his eyes are full of so much love that for a moment, she forgets how to breathe.
“Always do.”
He smiles, his thumb brushing against the cool metal. “I should get you like, a wedding cake charm to go with it,” he muses, leaning over to press his lips into her temple. “Since, you know, you’re my wife now.”
“I’m your wife now,” she repeats, smiling up at him.
A camera flashes somewhere, and she’s sure that the photo they just took will wind up on the walls of their home somewhere. Still, she doesn’t pay it much attention as she leans in to kiss Bellamy sweetly, feeling the fire race in her veins all the way down to her toes.
“Dance with me,” he murmurs when they pull away, standing without letting go of her hand.
She lets him lead her out on the dance floor, letting go of his hand to thread her fingers together behind his neck as he wraps his own around her waist.
They sway together in silence for a moment, and then he chuckles.
Clarke grins up at him. “What?”
“I’m just thinking, of all the people for my sister to impress on her first day at a new school, I’m really glad it was you.”
“It was incredible!” Clarke defends through her giggle. “She literally pinched a boy’s ear until she bent to his will and didn’t even get in trouble!”
She’s probably a little too loud, but Bellamy laughs, burying the sound into her hair. “And now, here we are.”
“Here we are,” she agrees, pulling herself a little closer. “All married and grown up.”
He glances over her shoulder, where Octavia is dancing with Lincoln, and smiles. “They’ll be next, I figure.”
Clarke gasps. “And you’re okay with that idea?”
Bellamy pinches at her waist, just enough to make her squirm. “Ha ha, princess. She’s happy, that’s what matters.”
“I’m so proud of your progress.”
“You should be.”
“I am,” she insists, leaning up to press her lips to the corner of his mouth. He catches her lips in his before she can pull away, soft and sweet.
Octavia bounds up at that moment, of course. “Guys, come here, we should get a picture with just the three of us.”
She gestures to the camera man off to the side, so they line up, Clarke in the middle, smiles wide as the camera flashes.
Clarke is pretty sure there’s a picture exactly like it in the Blake house already, except it was taken years ago by Aurora, the summer before she passed away. She makes a mental note to get a print out of the picture just taken, and can already imagine the two photos hanging together in the foyer of the house that she and Bellamy have waiting for them.
She thinks maybe they could even be put in the same frame, surrounded by other pictures of the three of them. It seems fitting, like the first thing someone sees when they come into their home should certainly be pictures of her best friend, and her best friend’s brother.
Because ever since there’s been Octavia, there’s been Bellamy, too.
And she wouldn’t have it any other way.

The 100 6x12 ‘Adjustment Protocol’
Madi seems to be almost completely possessed by Sheidheda, threatening to burn this world down and kill this child. Because of her fragile mental state, with believing that Clarke really is dead, it’s no wonder that she’s vulnerable to the Dark Commanders control. Clarke has to just suck it up while her daughter is struggling, she can’t give up the act or their plan will be foiled.
Raven has been trying to extract Sheidheda out of her head but it’s not working. Something is blocking her, it’s like the Flame is protecting him. All the while, bone marrow is still being extracted from Madi to honour the deal that saved them from being burnt alive. Two more doses are needed, because Russell is planning to resurrect all of the remaining Prime’s tonight. Taking that much bone marrow will kill Madi. This feels an awful lot like Mount Weather all over again. Taking something from another group of people so they can live. But this is much worse, because they’re not doing this to survive, they’re doing it so they can live forever.
Abby also believes Clarke really is dead. She just lost Kane and now her daughter too. For once she decides to so something self sacrificing. Madi is still here and she has the power to save her. She does what Clarke did, turning herself into a Nightblood to save someone innocent. Now the remaining bone marrow can be taken from her.
When they are alone, Clarke returns to the operation room and embraces her mother in a hug. The pure relief on her face at realising her daughter is still alive, and also has a plan to save them. “Now go save us all. Again.” At least someone acknowledges all that Clarke has done!
Abby begins to make amends for all that she’s done, apologising to Jackson, and to Raven. She tells Raven that helping create a new host for Kane wasn’t worth it, she asked her on the ship but she never answered. But now she’s realised that she lost her way, and the way she hurt Raven wasn’t okay. She may not be her daughter, but she’s her family. It was a beautiful and emotional way to mend their relationship.
The new Primes. The three guards became Miranda (Gavin’s wife), Jasmine (Jade) and Caleb (other guard). And Murphy and Emori, who are pretending to be Kaylee and Daniel. They got blank mind drives put into their head, the ones that Josie erased (the four members of the Lee family). They’re putting on an act for the people of Sanctum, but really they are now immortal.
Abby notices that only five were brought back, but there were six vials of bone marrow. Russell killed her daughter and he knows she’ll never stop wanting revenge. He injects her with the mind wipe serum. Raven and Jackson look out in horror as they realise what is happening.
Her memories flash by - Clarke, Jake, Kane, her happiest memories. It all flashes by… and then nothing. She’s gone. And she can’t come back because they used the EMP to get ALIE out of her head, there is no neural mesh like there was in Clarke’s mind. Her body remains but her mind has been erased.
Clarke meets her new mother. Well, Josephine’s mother in her mothers body. She doesn’t even look like Abby - the clothes, the make up, all of it, she really does seem like Simone. Clarke has no time to mourn, she still has to keep in character while processing the shocking news that her mother is dead. Gabriel gives her a moment to take some anger out on him, he knows she needs to keep playing Josie if their plan is going to work.
Abby has never been my favourite character but her death was a real emotional gut punch. She just lost someone she cares about, and now she’s dead too. But her body still lives and has been taken over by someone else. Her death was hugely impactful, and I’m glad she made some resolutions before she died. May we meet again.
After Gabriel hears that there will be ‘Naming’s’, he decides to take things into his own hands because he won’t let anymore innocent people die. He comes to Sanctum peacefully, dropping the toxin bomb into the pond and turning himself in.
It’s clear that Russel and Gabriel have a lot of history. 236 years to be exact. The alarm sounds, and Russell knows what he’s done. The day he returns the alarm just happens to go off when there is no eclipse. Gabriel manages to grab a gun and aims it at Russell but he can’t pull the trigger. Russell is an old friend, they spent all those years bringing the Primes back, bringing Josephine back. And he’s not willing to kill one person to save the many, even though Russell’s death could help immensely with his cause and cause a lot more bloodshed. It’s just not who he is.
I understand that Russell is just trying to save his family, but he’s so hypocritical. He’s the one who killed them in the first place, and maybe he feels that the only way to make for that is to bring them back time and time again and live forever. He’s had many chances and it’s time for him to just die.
After Clarke threatens to destroy Ryker’s mind drive, Priya agrees to take the shield down and the cavalry marches in. I loved the moment of Octavia playfully shoving Bellamy when he says ‘I told you so’, when really, it was the other way around. He was doubting things earlier and Octavia told him to have some faith, and she was right. Typical siblings behaviour. Things are looking up for the Blakes!
Bellamy tells everyone gathered for the Naming Day the truth, backed up by Priya. These people aren’t gods, they steal their bodies so they can live forever. Russell then orders an ‘Adjustment Protocol’ in which Sanctum will be ‘purified’ as the believers kill the non believers. He throws the bomb into the crowd and everyone begins to hallucinate. Tragically, now that Delilah’s parents know that Priya murdered their daughter, they end up killing her. Their daughters former body.
Murphy and Emori, or Kaylee and Daniel (who by the way are brother and sister…) get a makeover. And it really suits them, minus the whole betrayal so they can immortal thing (but they good in those outfits and make up). In the end, they have a change of heart. They aren’t going with the other Primes, they’re staying here to save their people.
“I’m proud of you Murphy.” And thats when he knows, when they both know, that it’s Clarke, because Josephine called him John. Clarke has believed that Murphy really had betrayed her and didn’t care that she was ‘dead'. But I’m sure he always did care about her, he just doesn’t always do the right thing. But he came around in the end.
The Primes head up to space while they wait for things to calm down in Sanctum. I don’t know if they’ll be a match for Wonkru, they need to wake up their sleeping army up there!
The Primes - Russell, Simone, Miranda, Jasmine and Caleb are currently in host bodies. Plus Gabriel (but he doesn’t really count anymore). Clarke, Murphy and Emori each have a blank drive in their head (three of the Lee family that were erased). Ryker and Priya are currently dormant. Josephine’s drive is blank but still intact. And Kane’s was floated with his new body (which was the fourth blank Lee drive).
I really hope Jordan will be an important part of the finale. Everyone seems to have forgotten about him. So much for keeping Monty’s legacy alive when they failed to take care of his son.
I have a feeling that Sanctum is going to end up being burned to the ground. Raven said last season just once she’d like to take off from a planet that wasn’t on fire but I have a feeling they will once again. Hopefully this will be the last time - third times the charm.
I predict the season will end with Diyoza returning and they all go into the anomaly. There will probably be a cliffhanger, we won’t exactly know what happens or where they go. I’m sure it will leave many, many questions because nothing is very clear about the anomaly yet. But as previous seasons, there are always hints as to what is to come next season and there have been a lot of mystery surrounding the anomaly.
This episode was a great penultimate episode. It was super fast paced and so much happened! I honestly have no idea what to expect, but it’s set it up for what I’m sure will be an amazing finale!!

The 100 6x05 "The Gospel of Josephine" Review
Y’all breathing okay? I think there were a few times when I held my breath this episode and boy howdy! I’m glad The 100 can still give me those moments. Now let’s dive right in to the episode:
Bonjour Josephine!
Last week we got a tiny bite of Josephine. Tonight we got the whole "gâteau opéra”, emphasis on “opera”, for the story of the Primes seems to be a long and bloody Shakespearean affair on an alien moon. Jaux!Clarke (see what I did there?) has barely fired up her silicone memories before she dispatches poor Kaylee with a cheese knife. Apparently Kaylee assisted, or at least didn’t prevent, Josephine’s last host body’s “death”, and she’s been on ice for six years waiting for a new host to be born and grow up. (Which we learn later is because they need a fully developed over-21 adult brain to host an adult’s memory chip, as they overload and kill child hosts. Glad we don’t have to see how they know that.)
Apparently Russell and Simone “jumped line” to bring back Josephine so I’m assuming it’s setup like an organ donor list, except people wait actual decades to talk to their loved ones again. The price of eternal life, eh? Also I can bet there will be some VERY unhappy Primes once they find out Russell and Simone cut line to get their daughter back amongst the living. Josephine seems to be hardened by her long life, and thinks very pragmatically and cold. She has successfully “other-ed” everyone except her loved ones...which is not comforting but also, I can’t help but think the gang would be very happy to have old Clarke back when they get a taste of real cold indifference from Jaux!Clarke.
Her “parents” give her time to adjust and we see Jaux!Clarke painting while dancing to French rap — a sentence I never thought I’d type for a sci-fi show review. She’s of course been given a task: find out how many nightbloods, aka hosts, our Space Popsicles have (since we really can’t call our gang the 100 or the delinquents anymore I’ve decided to call them this, fight me) to keep the Primes from becoming extinct. How hard can it possibly be to pretend to be Clarke right? All I thought was give Bellamy Blake and Jordan Green 10 minutes alone with her and she will figure that out real quick. (Also I was SO pleased to discover I was correct with guessing those two!)
Space Popsicle™️ Fam finds skeletons in the closet!
Jaux!Clarke meets up with Bellamy, Jordan, Gaia and the rest of the SpacePops™️ Fam and starts acting weird immediately. (Subtle at first but someone forgot to check if she knew Trig ha!) She dodges her first bullet and finds Abby to try and find out how many nightbloods might be on the main ship, only to hear herself called a monster and have Abby compare her book to the Eugenics books of our time. I enjoyed seeing her squirm at Abby’s assessment of her book, though Abby doesn’t have a lot of room to judge...
When Abby questions why her left-handed daughter is writing with her right hand, Jaux!Clarke needs to find a reason to exit stage left and she sees Bellamy and Murphy looking for Jordan and follows them. They find Jordan in the spooky science closet full of skeletons (subtle the Primes are not) and Bellamy is of course in full Dad mode™️, asking Jordan what the heck he’s doing. Jordan delivers quite possibly my favorite line of the season, thus far:
“What you would’ve done, The you before Praimfaya, anyway. Heart over head. That was always my favorite Bellamy.”
Monty and Harper's son, ladies and gentlemen!! Y’all I nearly jumped to my feet and clapped! Because that Bellamy is also my favorite Bellamy! And this whole season is a little odd feeling to me because Bellamy already feels like he’s been body snatched. Let’s hope this wonderful line delivered with perfection by the fabulous Shannon Kook is a sign we will get some old “I say, screw fear. I’m telling my own damn story” Bellamy Blake back this year! (Can I get an amen!)
Back to the science skeleton closet:
Jaux!Clarke Tries and fails to lure team SpacePops™️ out but Jordan and Gaia keep digging around and they end up watching the first “successful” upload of Josephine by Gabriel and her now very old looking father (og body) Russell. We also learned it took 25 years for them to develop and perfect the AI tech and lord knows how many corpses to get there.
We don’t know yet but I have a feeling we can guess the “old man” is Gabriel and “the Children of Gabriel” are followers against the “Primes ways” and are a result of him regretting playing God to get Josephine back and exiling himself once Josephine and fam got a little to unhinged about “hosts” and “nightblood”, leading others to follow his example. After Jaux!Clarke calls Murphy “John” and says a few other strange things, Bellamy asks to speak to her alone and, I’m just saying, if you watch this scene you see that Bellamy already KNoWS this isn’t “normal” Clarke. He isn’t sure what’s wrong yet, but he knows enough to test her and he can tell she can’t really understand what he’s saying in Trig! So he pulls a signature “Bellamy” move and yanks her back by the throat and starts asking questions because he’s now officially in panic mode —
BUT alas! She had a syringe of that lovely paralytic on hand just in case and the last thing we see in this scene is the horrible realization in Bellamy’s eyes as he lies helplessly paralyzed on the ground: there is a cold stranger behind his best friend’s beautiful blue eyes...and he cannot process his fear and loss fast enough. Welcome back heart over head Bellamy, we’ve missed you!!
Cut to Jaux!Clarke finding Murphy in the bar and revealing her true identity and confessing “Clarke is dead. My parents killed her” (listen I don’t buy it kids) and offering our favorite morally questionable cockroach something he might not be able to pass up: eternal life. Given his recent brush with death and sudden fear of hell….oh boy! It’s gonna take him a minute to realize he should help his friends, I just hope he realizes that before he’s made a full deal with the devil.
Diyoza and the Brat
This pair is a surprising team up, but if I have to suffer through Octavia’s “redemption” they couldn’t have picked a better reward than my favorite Season 5 addition (besides sweet Shaw! I’m still bitter about that guys) DIYOZA! Sassy, amazing fighter, the universe’s longest known pregnant lady. I could watch an entire show about her. (Also Ivana Milicevic is a dream in this role.) She’s the gift that keeps on giving, cool as a cucumber while stuck in space quicksand as Octavia is about to go under because she cannot be still for one second. Probably because if Octavia’s quiet she’ll think and with that comes dark thoughts: how she failed as a leader, how she was willing to abuse, torture and maybe even kill her brother, how her brother, the one person who she thought would always love her through her greatest faults, finally couldn’t take anymore and rejected her. She doesn’t have anything left to lose. Rock bottom meet Octavia Blake, Octavia Blake meet rock bottom.
Now I know I sound harsh but after Season 4 I was beyond seeing her as anything but a villain. I know she is on her way to redemption, but I’m glad they are giving her the long way through the dirt and mud, letting her soak in the cage of her own making a while. And giving us the wonderful Diyoza to lighten the mood. I am all for unsuspecting road trip buddies in shows (Arya and the Hound anyone?) but unfortunately so far all Octavia’s done is try to murder people, throw tantrums, and sulk. Oh well, at least Diyoza is getting in some practice for when she finally gets to have her 200-year-old baby! Really though bless her heart, she deserves some kind of sainthood for this.
Mount Weather + City of Light + Commander worship, shaken not stirred
I actually dig the intersecting of all the “bad guy” storylines into one big villain origin story wearing Clarke’s face. If nothing else it’s a poetic rehash of all the previous seasons, but refreshing enough to not seem stale...for the most part. I grow tired of the Flame/commander story and miss the more simple “teens surviving the unknown my learning to depend and care for each other” story of the first few seasons. BUT considering Season 5’s underwhelming last half, if there is one thing I can say about Season 6 of The 100...it’s not boring! And for a show that sometimes paces the plot too fast I was actually okay with that this time around! I did not want it to take three episodes for our fave family of 150 year old space popsicles to discover Clarke is “dead”. Also I am so glad it was the magic duo of Bellamy and Jordan that made the realization first.
Final thoughts
Eliza Taylor has grown so much as an actress over the seasons! She looks like she had so much fun playing Jaux!Clarke and she gave her such a different “spirit” than our usual worried and sometimes snarky but mostly serious Clarke Griffin. Just the way her eyes dance lets you know it’s not “real Clarke”.
I neglected to mention the importance of Jordan knowing “Delilah” before her change to Priya VII, so his spidey senses also go off around Clarke because he knows what a person who just got body snatched acts like! When he took “Delilah” the flowers I was like my poor son.
This episode was great because the focus was tighter and had fewer characters to keep up with! (Listen I love ensemble casts but they have not given Raven a strong independent storyline since Season 4, and I love Emori but she doesn’t really have a lot to do at the moment either, as for Echo...why she was made a main character when Harper was right there all those seasons? I’ll never know.) All that to say, I like when they break up the cast a bit and just focus on a few at a time to really get that interpersonal development between characters. That used to be the bread and butter of this show. Don’t get me wrong, I still love The 100 and find it unique and fun and twisty and exhilarating and at times beautifully heartbreaking.
(Episodes 1x05, 1x07, 1x13, 2x15, 2x16, 4x13 and 5x13 are perfect examples of this.)
But I do yearn for those slower, deeper days of, say, a boy and a girl grappling with the moral quandary of torturing a stranger tied up in the cockpit of a crashed spaceship to save a dying friend. Sometimes bigger and shiner isn’t always better. But no matter how this season goes, The 100 is still one of my favorite TV shows ever, and deserves a spot up there with a lot of other great sci-fi dramas of the past two decades.
As of now all I need to know is: where the heck is Bellamy Blake and is he okay?!
Gina’s episode rating: 🐝🐝🐝🐝
The 100 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on the CW.
