NEW WAR SPOILERS!

Gonna put together a rough post of my thoughts about the quest and such, ALL UNDER THE CUT:

Kahl and Teshin were underwhelming playstyle wise, since they just felt like clunky and unwieldy warframes. Also Kahl's portion was confusing visually because everything was tinted red. :^) I died twice lol, had to get used to the mechanics. Teshin's part was, in his own words, too easy. But not frustrating at least.

Veso was REALLY fun and yes I am biased towards Corpus. He was also really cute and I liked his heroic sacrifice in the end. Using proxies to solve puzzles and fight was a cool step back from our usual gameplay, ngl I hope we can get a summoner warframe or have more NPCs as playable segments in stories or events.

The ending of the prologue where Lotus is thrown into the Void (?), Teshin is killed and then our Operator is "killed" was BOMB, it really set the mood and made me fear that heads are gonna roll.

That said...

Drifter play was fun - I am really glad DE made it not too hard but still fun to play and not too grindy. I am a Chroma main so my usual playstyle is "stand in enemy fire and just blast them with your Vex Armor Buffed Damage" so actually having to time my shots reminded me of when I was newbie and actually played carefully by taking cover. :D

FUCK THE FORTUNA SNEAKING SCENE, that was the only time I felt like ragequitting. Also The song was 12/10, it sent chills down my spine when I realized what it was based on.

I got really scared when Ordis said that Vox Solaris "collapsed" under Narmer, felt better when LD showed up... but you know what? A bit upset there is no real aftermath. I ran to Fortuna after the quest and everyone is just vibing there. LIKE HELLO? Cool that Vallis is permawarm now.

I really really really hoped there would be more input from all the NPCs, which is why I liked the intense start. If they can kill Teshin, that means they can kill more NPCs but... nothing really happened. Like, the stakes were high and then they weren't. Plus we never got any follow-up with Teshin, he is just a hologram and we don't even care. Poor uncle.

Yeah, Erra died too but like... I was neutral about him and then he just dies and I'm like ok bye I won't miss you

Other than that - Unum part was fine, REALLY REALLY liked the Zariman stuff and the Operator/Wally/Drifter stuff.

I am really invested in the Operator character so I was very happy that we were given more personality and acted more human and interacted with the world. Also I chose drifter and my Tenno OC is now perma-drifter story-wise. I'll mold the lore later.

I am on fifty tangents now but...

I really liked everything that came after the second Archon fight so I can't complain.

The ending and callback to the Second Dream brought me to tears.

I chose Lotus because I feel that is what /she/ chose too.

Also really wanted to punt Ballas right in his dickless crotch for calling Lotus a bitch. What a dick. Absolute scumbag. Good riddance!!!

Ps. Ordis as a little sentinel is super precious. We can hug him now. ;_;

i definitely don’t want a s6, either, and i feel a reboot of SOME kind will eventually be inevitable (tmnt has gone through at least 3 since 2003), but i think i’d be a LOT more hesitant to touch it nowdays. idk. depends on the creative team behind it. my trust levels have been quite low for a while now lD ]]

I mean.  I’m not.  Pulling this 10000% out of my ass here.  For a season six.  But I ended up rambling a lot about this, so I’ll tuck it away under a cut since it’s a lot of speculation and logical deduction, and I know not everyone’s probably here for that.

With the TTG movie coming out, a lot of the old voice actors who stayed on have been kind of.  Poking that bear for “hey if the new movie does well, you all might get a s6 for the old cartoon”.  I’m not gonna go looking for sources, but I know Tara Strong (the voice of Raven I think) floated it first but a couple others have also mentioned it as well.

Ignoring the obvious issue of the fact the numbers they’re floating as targets are ridiculous given how their other “reboot” movie (the Powerpuff Girls) performed... I honestly personally think it’s a load of hogwash since CN’s been kind of shamelessly milking the nostalgia factor for TT in particular without really caring about how they may or may not be alienating that same demographic they’re courting through their content.  Which, fair enough, “we” aren’t the target demographic anyway, it’s younger children, and pretending otherwise would be stupidly selfish and naive.  So while I don’t think the voice actors themselves are deliberately misleading anyone about that, I also do not put it past CN to try to sell the movie to original TT fans under the banner of “if it does well we’ll actually listen to you and give you another season” without really having plans to follow through on it.

But also I don’t think we’ll ever actually get a CN-run TT reboot any time soon, if only because it would directly compete against TTG and, like it or not, CN has been hard running them as its cash cow, which again, fair enough, it’s highly marketable and I imagine they don’t have to do as much legwork for it since it is DC comics compared to what they’d have to do for an original show they have, like TAWoG or CotC or even SU (which does really well for them, or so I would assume).  So a lot of their marketing is already done for them, in a sense.

I’d hope that we’d maybe see something like it via DC’s upcoming new streaming service, but again, I would be shocked since I think they picked up YJ itself (so they wouldn’t want to run something too close and/or sharing a lot of characters, so that’s Wally, Garfield, and Dick out, bare minimum, so there’s half the team gone) and even if they haven’t... They have confirmed, cast, and been shooting a live action Titans, which is a whole ‘nother can of worms I’m not gonna get into but is meant to be one of their “big draws” for the service from what I understand.  But you end up with the show essentially not being able to run anywhere without more or less “competing against itself” right now, which isn’t gonna happen since it makes shitty business sense.

So tl;dr a reboot or season six might be possible one day, but I would give it at least three to five years, if not more, from the end of TTG and Titans, if not longer and after the close of Young Justice as well.

6 才子（3） 黃子華 2021.3.10 正月廿七 春天到 第一次接觸到黃子華這個名字，大概是1995年。那年他和張達明搞《棟篤笑雙打》，我在溜冰場外看到演出海報，為鮮黃而雜亂設計的文字駐足了很久，怪雞難懂卻吸引了我這個小學雞的眼球。一年多之後，他再搞棟篤笑，我嚷著一定要媽媽買票帶我看現場，那次是《秋前算帳》。自此每逢他一有演出，我都會把握機會第一時間買票入伊館朝聖。他的前作無論是用VCD、LD、DVD還是往後上YouTube都總會不停翻看，老早在中三之前已把一字一句倒背如流。從捧腹大笑到笑無可笑，仍然將所有內容奉為人生格言，和朋友言談間總會以他的金句作結。當年有這般習慣，市面還未有他的金句集出現。 中五畢業時，同學們推舉我當謝師宴司儀，縮骨的我想到要求一位拍檔同台減輕負擔，幸運地讓我遇上好兄弟曹震豪 @wallischo。他和我從未同班，走在一起只為演出度稿，造就了我們往後超過廿年的友誼。我們以「棟篤笑雙打」為藍本，寫了很多笑話，最後的演出卻只是一個大笑話，場面尷尬不堪。難得全級同學老師們聚首食餐飯，卻被迫聽我倆廢話兩個鐘。現在回想仍感到怯疚，怪只怪「子華毒」中毒太深，棟篤笑並非人人能演的戲碼。 人大了思想變了，沒想到毒癮能有消散的一日。2007年，和徐天佑 @chuihammer 一起到伊館看《越大鑊越快樂》，表演完結離開會場我倆久久沒有對話。事後分析我當時認為子華實在走火入魔，「食人肉」的比喻過於偏激悲觀，在一半不懂一半不同意下，我開始慢慢放下這位多年的精神領袖。往後的《娛樂圈血肉史2》、《洗燥》、《唔黐線唔正常》，明明演出在紅館作為粉絲一定更為興奮，我卻選擇罷看。 其實漸漸和「神」關係疏遠早在《男親女愛》之時，已萌生去意。劇集故然精彩搞笑，他和DoDo姐的化學反應亦火花飛揚。耐何要「神」紆尊降貴淪為無記電視處境喜劇演員，心裡總覺得不太搭調。然後朋友間開始對《一蚊雞保鑣》的對白倒背如流，我便更加決絕離去。對！黃子華的電視、電影演出，我沒有一部喜歡過。他和陳淑儀、鄧偉傑的《男磨坊》舞台劇，深入探討藝術本質，倒是繞樑至今。後來知道他為演活長篇劇集《非常公民》「溥儀」一角，嘔心瀝血付出所有，作為演員的我聽後深生敬意。突然一天，看完好友黃詠詩的《破地獄與白菊花》重演，終於和他在後台門外相遇，然後我們用了一支煙的時間對著馬路聊天，感覺他真人更為消瘦憔悴。 最初迷上將他奉為「子華神」，相信只是為生活尋求一點快樂。後來才發現，黃子華代表了一種自由發表的精神。情況就如當年的戴安娜王妃，代表了屬於人民的一把聲音。言論和抒發自由是我們留在這個世界的原因，任何人或者力量試圖壓制或禁止，都必然是大錯特錯，注定會遭受天譴。原來子華能封為神，是��為他總比我們跑得更前更快。他先知先覺，在政權「收集說笑話的人」之前先行退場。慶幸自己有和Wallie入紅館看他《金盆𠺘口》，現在才知道原來是他真正的最後一次，亦明白��沒有任何論述比世界發展更為偏激悲觀荒謬。 #安早蓮娜歎杯茶 #銨珇 逢星期四出Post （在 紅磡體育館） https://www.instagram.com/p/CNZqfKqh_-9cOkr1pq4rearCa4b8Dr70SNt2Xo0/?igshid=fda9zj1vwpaf
