Digimon Adventure ~ J.P.N Version ~ Episode 39 + Izumi Koushiro{u}'s Parent + Kido Shin (Jou's 2nd eldest Sibling)
"Don't say such {negative} things! I {b e l i e v e} in these children!" - Koushiro's parent, referring to Koushiro and, the "Chosen Children" as a Whole, (including Jou)
"It'll be all right, Nii-san.
We'll make {absolutely} sure the s u n does 'come up'!"
-Kido Jou, after overhearing from afar, Triumphant-like

My Commentary: This small but significant sequence takes place not long after Koushiro is revealed to be a canon Adoptee. Mrs. Izumi is fully aware that Koushiro has accepted Mrs. Izumi (+Izumis both) as Koushiro's true parent{s}, however, we are not given indication that the other supporting characters were actually told about 'the secret' of Koushiro's. Shin's surprise, in that regard, can hardly be held too much against Shin - which Mrs. Izumi eventually quickly recognizes, dropping the argument and frustration - Shin was likely completely unaware how strongly Mrs. Izumi felt during these moments, while Mrs. Izumi was likely running on pure adrenaline responding!
Mrs. Izumi, in the original version, is also using a neutrally polite speech pattern that is overall appropriate when speaking to children; Koushiro, in the original, is also known for speaking throughout the entire series with a formal and polite pattern that is "unusual" for Koushiro's age, while it's more "typical" for Mrs. Izumi to use similar in this sequence.
Shin Kido, Jou's 2nd eldest sibling closer in age, the 2nd born of the three Kidos, is the sibling who appears throughout Adventure Episodes 35~39 and later Adventure-specific episodes (such as flashback sequence in Dark Masters arc) specifically. In the 2nd sequel series, "02", Jou's oldest sibling, Shuu, was introduced. The U. S. dub combined "Shin" and "Shuu" into "Jim", a singular character, but they were actually two separate siblings! (Thus, Jou is speaking to Shin as if Shin is the younger of the two siblings, addressing Shin commonly with a 'casual' "Nii-san", though in this scene, Jou sounds surprisingly more 'assured' and perhaps a slight bit 'full of' self, but is quickly grounded by Sora and Mimi not long after.)

My video "A LAWYER'S EVIDENCE that Mike and Will become a romantic pair in Stranger Things" is out!
youtube
Many of you have followed me ( @teambyler ) or read my essays analyzing Byler (I've linked some of the most-shared ones below). I am actually also a LAWYER who has a YouTube channel called RONALD OFF THE RECORD, and I just released my big video on Byler! (I also have another YouTube channel with 45K subscribers that I mention in the video)
I'm prepared to put my professional reputation as a lawyer on the line to comment on a piece of science fiction, because goddammit this is important to me! It is not "delusional" to think Will and Mike will become a couple, and there is nothing wrong with you if want it to happen! This is a video essay I've been planning for at least SIX MONTHS, and I put a lot of work into it. Please share, and please leave comments. Enjoy! =D
0:00 Why this video 1:38 Hate for Byler on the internet 10:16 Case for Mileven 15:21 Case for Byler: Starting premises 17:56 If Will were a girl… 25:30 The evidence! 29:05 EXHIBIT A: The Snow Ball 31:34 B: Mike's reactions to El and Will being upset 34:21 C: Season 3 ending montage 39:16 D: Airport reunion 47:51 E: Rink-O-Mania argument 51:28 F: Heteronormativity, audience expectations 58:25 G: Throwing away the letter 59:55 H: 2nd heart-to-heart scene 1:05:43 I: Mike can't say he loves El 1:13:27 J: Platonic reunion 1:15:12 K: Will's role convincing Mike to say "I love you" 1:20:08 L: Effect of the "love confession" on El 1:39:54 M: The Painting Lie 1:43:22 Honorable mentions 1:45:27 Non-diegetic evidence 2:01:23 Actor statements 2:10:34 NOT how you write an unrequited love story 2:16:07 Why Byler SHOULD happen (queerbaiting, etc.) 2:28:21 A more powerful story 2:35:45 A personal note
I'm now making this my new pinned post, so I'll list a few of my posts here for people to check out.
ADDITIONS: -28:00 On "We should normalize same-sex friends being affectionate, they don't have to be gay," I should have been clearer. HOMOPHOBIA is the reason for that stigma. Straight friends feeling like they can be affectionate in our society HAS to include normalizing LGBT+ people. -1:16:55 I should've said this more clearly: Will reminded Mike that who HE is, HIS unique qualities, make him worthy of love and make El love him, not dumb luck. And Will of course could convey that because Will loves the actual nerd MIke and everything he is. -1:17:06 Mike making El "not feel like a mistake" doesn't fit El, because she says that Mike looks at her "like I'm a monster, too". Nor did she "push you away because she was afraid of losing you". That's Will, not El. Mike felt love because Will was describing himself. -1:52:36 I forgot to mention that, in the original Nina opera, Nina's lover is ALIVE and DOES return. The Duffers changed the story so that Nina's lover does NOT return, to further suggest Mike won't return! -2:35:22 I'm kicking myself for not being more specific about Mike and Will being heroes in more than one way: I think the theme of bullying from s1 will return, with Will (and also Mike) having to face bullying for being boyfriends in Hawkins.
EDIT: I hit 1000 subs, only to discover THIS VIDEO CANNOT BE MONETIZED. ='( I think I put over 100 hours of work in this video, and this isn't sustainable for me unless I get support. This also means I can't make public videos with the same quality -- using show clips and music makes a stronger impact. I've considered deleting and reposting an edit, but that would losing all the wonderful comments and CUTTING OUT THE LAST SCENE. ='( ='( ='( NO. FUCKING. WAY.
So this is what'll happen: future videos NOT use clips and music to the same extent, except versions I post on my Patreon. And I need Patrons because I don't make money as a social-justice lawyer, and rely on that plus YouTube ads. Here's the Patreon link! (Any future video will be clipped, with the full version on Patreon) https://www.patreon.com/c/theruleslawyer
Some other @teambyler posts:
Mike was saying "I love you" to Will
Questions to ask if ever you have Byler doubt
How the Duffers have set Will up to have a happy ending in Season 5
The most heartbreaking way Byler can culminate (and how I predict it will) (I know this is less likely than an "escape from Camazotz" possession scenario, but I still want this to happen =D )
How the Duffers likely will make the general audience AWARE of Byler and CHEER for Byler

1938 Mercedes-Benz W154
In September 1936, the AIACR (Association Internationale des Automobile Clubs Reconnus), the governing body of motor racing, set the new Grand Prix regulations effective from 1938. Key stipulations included a maximum engine displacement of three liters for supercharged engines and 4.5 liters for naturally aspirated engines, with a minimum car weight ranging from 400 to 850 kilograms, depending on engine size.
By the end of the 1937 season, Mercedes-Benz engineers were already hard at work developing the new W154, exploring various ideas, including a naturally aspirated engine with a W24 configuration, a rear-mounted engine, direct fuel injection, and fully streamlined bodies. Ultimately, due to heat management considerations, they opted for an in-house developed 60-degree V12 engine designed by Albert Heess. This engine mirrored the displacement characteristics of the 1924 supercharged two-liter M 2 L 8 engine, with each of its 12 cylinders displacing 250 cc. Using glycol as a coolant allowed temperatures to reach up to 125°C. The engine featured four overhead camshafts operating 48 valves via forked rocker arms, with three cylinders combined under welded coolant jackets, and non-removable heads. It had a high-capacity lubrication system, circulating 100 liters of oil per minute, and initially utilized two single-stage superchargers, later replaced by a more efficient two-stage supercharger in 1939.
The first prototype engine ran on the test bench in January 1938, and by February 7, it had achieved a nearly trouble-free test run, producing 427 hp (314 kW) at 8,000 rpm. During the first half of the season, drivers such as Caracciola, Lang, von Brauchitsch, and Seaman had access to 430 hp (316 kW), which later increased to over 468 hp (344 kW). At the Reims circuit, Hermann Lang's W154 was equipped with the most powerful version, delivering 474 hp (349 kW) and reaching 283 km/h (176 mph) on the straights. Notably, the W154 was the first Mercedes-Benz racing car to feature a five-speed gearbox.
Max Wagner, tasked with designing the suspension, had an easier job than his counterparts working on the engine. He retained much of the advanced chassis architecture from the previous year's W125 but enhanced the torsional rigidity of the frame by 30 percent. The V12 engine was mounted low and at an angle, with the carburetor air intakes extending through the expanded radiator grille.
The driver sat to the right of the propeller shaft, and the W154's sleek body sat close to the ground, lower than the tops of its tires. This design gave the car a dynamic appearance and a low center of gravity. Both Manfred von Brauchitsch and Richard Seaman, whose technical insights were highly valued by Chief Engineer Rudolf Uhlenhaut, praised the car's excellent handling.
The W154 became the most successful Silver Arrow of its era. Rudolf Caracciola secured the 1938 European Championship title (as the World Championship did not yet exist), and the W154 won three of the four Grand Prix races that counted towards the championship.
To ensure proper weight distribution, a saddle tank was installed above the driver's legs. In 1939, the addition of a two-stage supercharger boosted the V12 engine, now named the M163, to 483 hp (355 kW) at 7,800 rpm. Despite the AIACR's efforts to curb the speed of Grand Prix cars, the new three-liter formula cars matched the lap times of the 1937 750-kg formula cars, demonstrating that their attempt was largely unsuccessful. Over the winter of 1938-39, the W154 saw several refinements, including a higher cowl line around the cockpit for improved driver safety and a small, streamlined instrument panel mounted to the saddle tank. As per Uhlenhaut’s philosophy, only essential information was displayed, centered around a large tachometer flanked by water and oil temperature gauges, ensuring the driver wasn't overwhelmed by unnecessary data.

16:39.
“Here’s yer fifteen tuna mayo onigiri, Ms. [L/N].”
You look over your shoulder to see Osamu holding up a flat, long glass plate with your onigiri lined up neatly, with green onions decorating the tops of each ball.
You let out a small “ah” before pushing your chair back and standing up. As you walk to the counter where he is standing behind, you can feel your heartbeat start to quicken just a little bit.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Miya.” You replied back with a small smile while taking the plate out of his hands. “You can drop the honorific, by the way.”
Before you could take the chance to walk back to your table, Osamu spoke, “Ya know, ya can also drop the honorific. Don’t make me feel old.”
You let out a small chuckle, “My bad, Miya. Thank you for the food.” As you bowed your head slightly.
“No problem.” He nodded. “By the way, if ya need a to-go box, just holler and let me know.”
You stared at the younger twin for a brief second, before speaking. “Oh, no, that won’t be necessary. Thanks, though.” You turned your back while smiling hard internally, and began the short walk back to your table before he could say anything else.
He stood there for about three seconds watching you, before realizing what he was doing would come across as creepy. He immediately turned around, and let out a short groan before walking towards one of his food stations.
“I swear on everythin’, [Y/N], if you don’t eat all that onigiri, I will break into yer house and watch you while yer sleeping.” Atsumu threatened in an annoyed tone as you set your bag on the table.
Onigiri Miya’s tuna mayo onigiri were reasonably priced at ¥350 (roughly $2.30), and since you ordered fifteen… well, Atsumu would've paid ¥5,250 (about $35) for your food, but, he got a little family discount, and ended up paying for only half of it.
Why was he even complaining?
As you sat down, and grabbed one of your onigiri from the plate, you responded while smirking, “Calm down, Atsumu. Why else would I order fifteen if I didn’t want to eat them all?” which earned a laugh from Hinata and eyes that began to roll from Atsumu. “Is this better than convenience store onigiri?”
Almost immediately, Atsumu’s mood changed. “Ohhhh, way better than convenience onigiri! Yer gonna love ‘Samu’s onigiri! It’s seriously so good to the point where you can’t even compare the two, tell ‘er, Sho!” He exclaimed as he nudged Hinata’s side.
You look at Hinata, and he begins to nod his head fast. “He’s not wrong, [L/N]! This became one of my new go-to spots when I started playing for MSBY.”
“Aaaand all our teammates like Onigiri Miya, too.” Atsumu chimed in once more, raising his pointer finger.
“Whatever you say…” you quietly mumbled, then look back at your onigiri.
You take the first bite, and chew about two times before the flavors really begin to sink in. ‘Woooah.’
This onigiri was seriously one of the best you’ve ever had in your life. It seemed as if there was more than just tuna and mayo in it… like there was something else in it, but you couldn’t figure it out.
You look up with widened eyes to see Atsumu and Hinata smirking at you. “It’s good, huh?” The blondie grinned.
“Fuck, Atsumu! This is better than good!” You exclaimed joyfully.
Both of your friends began to laugh loud enough to catch Osamu’s attention. He takes a small glance at Atsumu, then Hinata, and eventually, you. He watches the way you stare at the onigiri. His onigiri.
“Hey, wait, why does yers have a bunch of filling in it?! I swear, I never get that much in mine!” Atsumu complains, as he points accusingly at your onigiri, with you responding with a shrug.
Osamu quickly focused his attention back on the onigiri he was currently making. ‘Busted.’
He could finally feel himself relaxing little by little. He doesn’t really wait for the reactions of those who order his food, but with you, he truly couldn’t wait for you to try it.
“Boss, why are you smiling at the onigiri like that?”
Osamu immediately looked at his employee who asked that question, and neutralized his face. “What’re ya talkin’ about?”
17:06.
You huffed as you leaned back in your chair, putting your hands over your stomach, like you’re caressing your seven month old unborn child.
“Ain’t no away.” Hinata spoke in a small, yet surprised tone. Then sighed sadly, looking down at his unfinished bonito flake rice ball. “You seriously finished all that, [L/N]?”
“Fa’ real. I mean, at least ya made my money’s worth? But at what cost?” Atsumu adds as he stares at your… current state, while tilting his head with a bit of concern.
You move your head forwards to get a ‘good enough’ look at the both of them, then lean back again. “It was so worth it. No regrets. At. All.”
“Okay, understandable, but with all due respect, [Y/N], ya look like yer about to give birth.” He retorted, with unease.
A small sigh left your mouth, along with a chuckle. “I’ll find out the gender when I give birth later tonight.”
A small pause was left between the three of you.
“In the toilet.” You added on.
Another small pause…
“Get it? ‘Cause I’m gonna, like, poop it out of m–” “WE GET IT, damn it.” Atsumu’s eyebrows creased as he crossed his arms over his chest.
Before you could say something insulting, Hinata expressed his affection with a long “Awwwwwww!” He put one of his hands on his cheek, and leaned into it. “Are you hoping for a boy or girl?” He asked sarcastically.
“I want a–” You cut yourself off.
‘Gender? Gender gender gender gender gender…' And as your thoughts come to an end, you gasp loud enough to startle your friends.
You abruptly get up from your chair, grabbing your keys, wallet, and the glass plate. “I completely forgot! My essay for my sociology class is due tonight!”
You were surprised that you had forgotten about this assignment. Yet, who could blame you? You still have to balance four other classes, and a job on top of all of that.
“What the hell? Don’t scare us like that, you animal!” Atsumu put his hand on his heart dramatically.
“Shut it!” You scorned.
You quickly shuffle to the front counter and put your plate on it, and as you begin to walk towards the door, the ‘did I forget something?’ feeling comes to you. You look at both of your hands, holding your wallet and keys. You turn to look at the table, only to be met with confused faces from Hinata and Atsumu.
You look around the restaurant, and finally your eyes land on Osamu, who’s prepping some basic onigiri ingredients.
‘So that’s what it was…’ You realized as you walked back to the counter.
“Miya!” You shouted loud enough for him to hear.
He immediately stops what he’s doing and turns his head towards you. He sees your necessities in hand, signifying that you’re about to leave.
‘Shit.’ He thought to himself, as he began to take off his gloves, and wipe his hands, eventually walking over to you.
“What’s up?” He asks, re-adjusting his hat, then grabbing the plate from the counter with both hands, with a semi-surprised face.
‘She really finished all that?’
You begin to grin lightly after seeing that look on his face, while thinking about God knows what in that silly little head of yours. “Thanks again! I’ll be back soon enough for more.”
After saying that, you can see the slightest smirk begin to grow on his face. He leaned a bit closer towards you, lowering the plate in his hands. “Yeah? For another order of fifteen tuna mayo onigiri?”
You rolled your eyes playfully. “Nah, I gotta try the other stuff on the menu next time.” You let out a small exhale through your nose, and hold up your hand to wave. “See you soon.”
He nods, “See ya.”
With that, you turned around and left the restaurant. Osamu watched as you got in your car, went on your phone for a couple of seconds, and reversed out of your parking spot, before eventually leaving the plaza.
“Oi, ‘Samu!” Atsumu called out. His attention immediately went to his brother. “Why were ya so focused on [L/N] when she was leavin’?” The setter smiled smugly.
Most of the time, people were not able to read Osamu’s expressions, as he usually kept a neutral demeanor, but come on! Atsumu and Osamu shared a womb for nine months. As time went by, Atsumu’s ability to figure out how his twin was feeling exceeded profoundly.
‘First name basis?’ Osamu questioned internally. “Whaddya mean?”
“WhAdDya mEan?” Atsumu mocked. “Stupid ass, actin’ like yer bein’ nonchalant.”
Osamu quickly became annoyed with his brother. “What’s yer deal, ‘Tsumu?”
“OH? What’s my deal? No, what’s yer de–”
“Aw man! I wish [L/N] had already finished her school paper so she didn’t have to leave.” Hinata quickly interjected, putting his hands on his head whilst leaning back in his seat. He knew where this was going, and to be honest, he didn’t want to be caught in the middle of an argument between the Miya twins again.
Both of the twins stared at Hinata, and then back at each other before Atsumu spoke again. “Yeah, but ya know how she is when it comes to college assignments.”
Osamu’s interest was piqued, but kept it on the down low. “She’s in college?”
Both MSBY members nodded their heads.
“But didn't ya mention she works for yer team?” He continued.
Hinata stared at Osamu, with one of his eyebrows raised. The ginger then quickly caught on to the fact that he was trying to learn more about this girl he just met.
“Yep, she does. As far as I know, she’s twenty-one, a senior in college, and she’s a business major. Alsooooo…” Hinata paused trying to think about what to say. “Oh, right! The reason she’s working for MSBY is to get some experience for her future job.”
Osamu snuck a quick glance at Atsumu, to see him taking a sip out of his water, with no reaction on his face.
‘Shoyo’s not lying.’
The dark haired man walked away with nothing else to say, plate still in hand as he could hear his brother and Hinata continue their previous conversation.
‘Twenty-one? Isn’t that too young, though?’
23:44.
Osamu laid in his bed, flat on his back, with no noise in the background besides his fan. After he had closed up shop for the day almost three hours ago, he couldn’t get you off his mind. He was so confused by this. He had just met you, and sure, he thought you were pretty, but once again, you both had just met.
He turned to his side, and wondered about your three year age difference. Of course, he knew that three years wasn’t terrible, but ever since he was a child, he’s been surrounded by couples whose ages are either the same, or one year apart at most.
He let out a small, yet frustrated sigh, and grabbed his phone from underneath his pillow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Osamu put his phone under his pillow for the second time tonight, he had all intentions of finally getting some sleep. This time, he felt semi-relieved, but still a tad bit unsure due to his friend’s answer to what he’d been wondering. He turned to his other side, capturing the somewhat cold essence of his bed, and finally, began drifting off into sleep.
One thing he’s very sure about, though?
He can't wait until the next time he's able to make his food for you.

Here's a beautiful little 1852 church in the idyllic town of Greenwich, CT. It has 3bds, 3ba, and is priced at $1.8M. But, WHY did they buy a picturesque church only to gut it and change it into a modern home?
Tumblr media
They even replace the door with a contemporary design.
Tumblr media
I feel that this wall was added b/c I doubt that this church would've originally had a narrow hallway.
Tumblr media
Closet in the hall at the entrance to the main living area.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The only indication that it was a church would be the windows that were more than likely replace with clear glass.
Tumblr media
Look at how they enclosed the choir loft with curved wood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen is spacious under the former choir loft, so this must've been the original altar area. I'm not saying that it isn't a beautiful home, it's just that I don't like that an historic church was gutted.
Tumblr media
If they wanted a new build, they should've built or bought one.
Tumblr media
There's a hallway with closets and a bath beside the stairs. It has nice mint green mosaic tiles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It appears that a wall was built around the main body of the church, encompassing the living room/kitchen & creating a long narrow hall around it. I feel a little claustrophobic.
Tumblr media
Upstairs, the primary bedroom has a cathedral ceiling.
Tumblr media
En-suite with an egg-shaped tub.
Tumblr media
Since it's a small country church, if you're wondering where the other bedroom & bath are, they're in the basement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As a man cave. I don't know, the whole layout seems awkward.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.39 acre lot.
Tumblr media
The original bell is on the steps on the right.

Details of the beautiful steeple.

This has been on my mind a lot lately, but I couldn't find anything about this. I saw a data that says young people regardless of gender feel more lonely especially after covid. But articles everywhere describe the phenomenon as male loneliness epidemic. Is it true that loneliness affect men more than women?
Yes, I've noticed this as well! (It's definitely frustrating!)
In short, no, women and men experience similar amounts of loneliness. (Therefore, it should simply be a "loneliness epidemic" not a "male loneliness epidemic".)
First:
A pre-covid meta-analysis [1] concluded that "across the lifespan mean levels of loneliness are similar for males and females". This is a robust finding because a meta-analysis synthesizes the results from many different studies; this one covered 39 years, 45 countries, and a wide range of other demographic factors from a total of 575 reports (751 effect sizes).
An interesting longitudinal study [2] used both indirect and direct measures of loneliness and (essentially) found no significant effect of sex. (But there were some interesting interaction effects between sex and age or sex and loneliness measure, if you want to look at the study!)
This literature review [3] states that "sex differences in loneliness are dependent on what type of loneliness is measured and how" and it's possible sex only "correlates with other factors that then impact loneliness directly". The first quote here is referring to similar sex-age/sex-measurement interactions found in [2].
During/after the COVID-19 pandemic however:
The earlier review [3] stated that "most studies found that women were lonelier or experienced higher increases in loneliness than men with both direct and indirect measures", but this may be a result of participant selection bias during the pandemic.
That being said, both a rapid review [4] and a systematic review and meta-analysis [5] found that women were either more or equally likely to report loneliness during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the Pew Research Center has collected some relevant data:
Prior to the pandemic, 10% of both men and women in the USA reported feeling lonely all or most of the time [6].
And while this doesn't measure loneliness directly, 48% of women and 32% of men in the USA reported high levels of psychological distress at least once during the pandemic [7].

SFW Headcannons for Sebastian Krueger
Tumblr media
Reader is 30+, Krueger is 39 in canon, female reader but I tried to be as neutral as possible on appearance, reader also works with him. Let's just say he's in Kortac for prosperity. I saw some fan art (i forget where) and Krueger was going on the cutest date with y/n and he was so affectionate and sweet and that inspired this but I tried to keep his voice lines and story in mind. Crossposted to my ao3
HC under the cut!
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) When working and in public, no affection or at least it would appear that way to the outside. He takes opportunities to sit next to you during meals etc and usually man spreads to press his knee against yours. He doesn't want people to use either of you against each other and you agree with his reasoning. The last thing either of you need is to let potential enemies find weaknesses in your armor.
In private is another matter. He needs you in his lap and your body pressed against him. Sitting on his thigh while sitting at the table, sitting across his lap when he's sitting in an arm chair or sitting between his legs on the couch. Cuddle bug.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) It started with you snorting over coms with a stifled laugh at one of his jokes that had him start slipping more jokes in when you were in the vicinity, then to you in person. Casual conversation evolving from there to looking out for each other in the field more than before.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) Kind of already explained the cuddles under affection BUT man is a cuddle bug. His chest to your back and his arms wrapped around your middle is his default position when the two of you are in private together.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?) Seeing as he fled germany to evade murder charges.. I doubt there is any plans for settling down any time. He would deem it foolish to even try make a home.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?) Probably a text message and treat you like a stranger around the base.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?) Marriage is a no for him (see D) But I can see him only seeing one person at a time. Even if it's a casual relationship he's only fucking one person at a time. Used to have a lot of one night stands when he was in his 20's.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) Physically, always gentle. Firm in work situations but not hard. Emotionally is a bit harder. He struggles with being delicate with his words. Things can come off cruel or emotionless. He lacks tact in emotional situations. Some of it is language barrier with German has intricacies that cannot be easily portrayed in english language. During cuddle times he always whispers praise and sweet sayings into your neck or top of your head. Many german nicknames you don't know the meaning of and he refuses to tell you because they are "for him" but assures you they only sing your praises.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) Hugs are so warm, all encompassing. Being 5'10 he's not too tall and can wrap himself all around you. Loves if you stroke his back when you hug. Will groan and squeeze you tighter. If you grope his butt with both your hands during the hug he will find it funny and give yours a squeeze in return.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?) A long time. Like well past a year. He started loving you long before that but he keeps it to himself not wanting to be vulnerable.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?) Gets annoyed when people hit on you, doesn't show it. You rebuff everyone and he doesn't doubt you. Might grumble about it later when you are alone.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?) Big on cheek kisses. He loves kissing your cheek but loves it more when you kiss his. It's a soft innocence he relishes in the violent corruption of a world you two live. Not big on tongue. Makeouts have little of it. Doesn't mean he's not passionate about kissing. When leading his kisses always start with soft pecks on the lips before more firm ones on the mouth.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?) Indifferent. Isn't cruel but doesn't go out of his way to be nice. They're not his responsibility. Will speak to them softly if in a situation where he is rescuing them and firm instructions if they are stuck somewhere in an active battlefield
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?) Hug and a kiss then breakfast. Wakes up hungry a fuck. Takes a piss and then goes and eats. Will resume cuddles after eating and brushing his teeth. Eating with him is usually silent.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?) Cuddles and tv. Likes dancing to old music in the lounge with you. A perfect evening to him is a nice comfy meal, a few drinks and swaying to music with you embracing each other.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?) Was 3-4 months before you even knew his favourite foods. He's private and he needed to feel a level of trust before he would give you details on himself.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?) Quite calm. Takes a lot to cause him genuine anger. You have to personally offend him really badly or on purpose. Or hurt you. Someone harming you and him seething is one of few times he will let on publicly that he cares a lot for you.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?) Notices and remembers everything. If you enter a room, put something down and forget about it for a few days, he remembers. Watches and listens in on you a lot but is careful to not let you or others notice. You don't like it when he monitors you like that but wont stop even if he has told you he will. Probably knows how long on average you take to a shit.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?) You saying his name after the first time you guys made out. The breathy deliver of his name on your lips and in your accent. It's still his favourite sound when he kisses you even now.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?) That's one of the reasons he's always watching and listening in. Once he trusted you and started to care his surveillance switched from less of making sure you're not a risk to him to more of looking out for you and keeping you safe. He knows you don't need him to and would be mad if you knew but he needs that control to feel safe.
T = Try How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?) Work doesn't really allow for much of that sort of thing when you're in a secret relationship but he might find you in a private place and give you a kiss and a wishing of a good x day.
Together alone he likes chill dates. Mostly at home, cuddling, kissing and all that comes with that.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?) Sometimes gets a few drops of pee on the toilet seat or floor. Since you got together he makes a more active effort to stop but sometimes hes too tired to care. Leaves a wet towel and bathmat on the floor after his showers. Can be insensitive sometimes.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?) For a guy who covers his face all the time, pretty vain. Uses a moisturiser for 30+ male skin from the supermarket and the matching face wash.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?) The longer you two have been together even of more casual, He will miss your casual company. If you are dating and he has genuine feelings for you, he miss you a lot. Will actively yearn for you.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.) Hates showering with ANYONE including his s/o. That's his personal time, wait your turn!
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?) Hates people who start drama over things. If you're jealous of something silly and flip out, starting an argument he's like nah this is over. See yaaa. Also hates gossip. So if you're a gossip and a antagonistic person in general he wont like you at all. Maybe actively hate.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?) Tosses, turns and kicks off the blankets.

Just finished 39 and I 🥹
L o r i c k <3 that whole entire Noel/Charlie convo hit me right in the heart and I'm crying but they're mostly happy tears bc they're finally not alone in their dreamlands experiencesssss
A L S O alsoalsoalsoalso ALSO. When Arthur was talking about going back home to England, after dealing with the Order. And John agrees, "straight to the docks, the first ship headed there, we're going home."
Y'ALL.
It hadn't hit me as hard as it did at that moment but beleive me I HAD been noticing every time John uses the word "home" and I just-
Guys. Guys it's usually different. It's usually a different place. It's a different place but it doesn't matter what the place is because his tome of voice is always the same. Because. Because it's always a "we're going home". It doesn't matter what place home is because home is always with Arthur. Guys I'm- I just-

Re your reply to last ask you got
I agree with the sentiment but about antipsychotics just fyi in my experience they can be incredibly helpful for extremely severe dysphoria and intrusive post-traumatic symptoms. I haven't seen anything published on this but i other know people who experience similar effects. I agree that they are over-prescribed but there are indeed reasons to prescribe them other than making the patient comform to social norms/ function under capitalism. They do not produce euphoric feelings but they do alleviate dysphoric ones - the function of medication is to minimise suffering not create pleasure and antipsychotics have potential to do that
i disagree wholeheartedly with this characterisation of 'the' function of psychoactive substances & the reasons antipsychotics (neuroleptics) are prescribed. here are some resources that have shaped my thinking on antipsychotics (neuroleptics) specifically:
the bitterest pills: the troubling story of antipsychotic drugs, by joanna moncrieff (see also idem, 'the myth of the chemical cure: a critique of psychiatric drug treatment', which is partially but not exclusively about antipsychotics)
