Opera Omnia Burst Themes 2/?
With Opera Omnia shutting down, I decided to make a few posts about one of my favorite parts of the game: The Burst Weapons. Not because they were a powerful, much sought after weapon tier that gave big numbers with massive benefits, but because I have a love for Final Fantasy music, and what BTs I wanted was strongly dependent on what song would play when used.
These posts are meant to be more for the sake of archiving what there had been more than anything else, but at the very least I am going to list a large number of great FF songs.
The first listings will be the songs that we had gotten during the game's lifetime.

For my Hearth and My Home
Ignis was never one to complain. He never complained about his workload, he never complained about the work he did for the crown Prince and he most certainly never complained about the intense amount of training he was put through since the day he became a L’Cie. It was required for both himself and for the kingdom. The nobles along with the king wanted to know his capabilities as a L’Cie, what he could and could not do. training consisted of everything from hand to hand combat, weapons training and even magic training. Each one he spent hours upon endless hours practicing before moving on to the next one. aside from that, Ignis was also helping with the planning and execution of retaking territories from the empire as well as rebuilding the Crown city. But, this was all stuff he was used to, things he didn’t have an issue with. That was normally the case.
Today however, today seemed to be different. For some reason, his mind was plagued with the events of the attack on Insomnia. The panic, the bloodshed, the screams, the betrayal of so many allies. This threw him off his usual calm and collected game. The couldn’t get moves and attacks down right. He kept making small, simple paperwork mistakes. The paperwork mistakes wouldn’t have been so bad if he hadn’t made the mistake on so many documents. As for the training; it was frustrating, the angrier and more fed up he got, the more mistakes he made. Which eventually earned him a hard round house kick from one of the instructors. And a very long and loud lecture from the instructor. As a L’Cie, he couldn’t afford to be distracted or making these mistakes, not when an attack as bad or worse like the first one; could happen again.
He supposed that was also one of the things that plagued his mind so much. Probably the thing that bothered him the most. He feared an attack on the Crown city like the first time. It had been horrible, ugly, heart breaking as well. He was happy that Noctis, Gladio and Prompto at least got out of Insomnia before everything happened. But he hadn’t, he had to stay behind. Which he was somewhat happy about. He knew Nyx was happy about it, very happy about it. but, the happiness didn’t last long, not when the notion of the peace treaty came up, not when the attack happened. The day everything went downhill, was the one-day Ignis couldn’t get a hold of his lover. He had been ordered to stay in the Citadel and to be ready just in case anything happened.
There had been no warning, the only warning Ignis got was his stomach suddenly dropping along with the sound of explosions. Ignis didn’t hesitate to spring into action then. Everything that unfolded after that was almost a blur. Ignis had caught a small glance of Nyx before he and Lunafreya escaped from General Glauca. After that however he was more focused on getting the King and his Shield healed. As a L’Cie, his magic had been given a power boost so healing their injuries hadn’t been extremely difficult, but it took having to move them both to a safe place to preform the healing magic. Ignis was left a bit disoriented afterwards. He had kicked into a state of mind where his only job and objective was to do as the Crystal ordered.
“Welcome hom- holy shit, Iggs what happened?” Ignis looked up from toing his shoes off at the home’s front door. He could see his love’s head tilted back as he sat on the couch. They had moved in together after the attack. Well, after Nyx was discharged from the hospital. After he put the ring on it was a shock that he didn’t die after commanding such power from the past kings. But he was extremely weak, tired. Ignis had never felt so helpless until then. Those first few days had been a touch and go for the Glaive. Ignis never once left his side however. Shrugging off his sweater and even going as far as to taking off his t-shirt, and socks. He as now left in a tank top and his sweat pants he went to training in. he didn’t immediately answer the older man, but he did make his way over to him.
The Glaive was laying spread out on the couch, he was dressed comfortably as well, shirtless and sweat pants. A look Ignis was used to coming home to. But, the scarring on his arm, up his side and the side of his face was still a sight Ignis often would startle when he found the blue-eyed male like this. Often Nyx had offered to wear a shirt when at home, so that Ignis wouldn’t look so haunted or guilty. But Ignis would deny it every time, Nyx was still a very handsome man, stunning. But Ignis couldn’t help but feel as if he had failed in his job as a L’Cie. Ignis felt as if he should have been the one to fight Glauca, as if he should have been the one to put the ring on and command the old wall. Not Nyx, not the man who didn’t have to do what he did for the city, for the king. Ignis blinked a few times before he moved himself between the mans legs and wrapped his arms around Nyx’s back. He laid his head on the others half scarred up chest, seeming to squeeze him slightly. it wasn’t a moment later when he felt the other mans arms come up to wrap themselves around his lower back.
The pairs of lips to the crown of his head was a nice thing to feel as well. “Bad day?” he asked, running his hand up and down the L’Cie’s back. Ignis merely nodded, he grunted when Nyx gently cupped his face between his hands and lifted his head so the two were now looking at one another. the bruise was already forming and looking black and blue, the hit had to have been rather hard for it to already be forming as it was. It started from the tip of his left brow and outlined his eye and ended about half way under his eye over his entire cheekbone. To tell the truth, Nyx was shocked the skin didn’t break if the look of the discolored skin was anything to go by. Ignis’s trainers always pushed him harder and harder as they days passed. Especially with everything that happened, it wasn’t a shock they probably wanted to use him being a L’Cie to their advantage. Said Glaive frowned at the sight, honestly, he really wished they would take it a little easier on the younger man, not that Ignis couldn’t take it or anything, but Nyx was a bit biased, Ignis was his lover and he didn’t appreciate people leaving him bloody and bruised.
“Six, Iggy. Let me get you some ic-“
“Please don’t make me move,” Ignis cut in, making the other shut his mouth instantly and stare down at his boyfriend with worry. the look in his eyes and the tone of his voice broke his heart, really looking at him now, Nyx could see the bags under his green colored eyes, he could hear the begging tone Ignis had right now. the man was probably trying to keep it all together, he was like that. he didn’t like losing control of his emotions, but sometimes even he couldn’t help it. No one could blame him, the stress they were all feeling right now was high and some broke under it sooner then others. For Ignis, it had taken a while and a lot of things for it to lead up to the current moment. “Just…please, let me hold you.”
“Oh Ignis…” Nyx mumbled, kissing the darkening bruise on his beloved’s face ever so gently. “Ill do whatever you ask me. I know things are stressful right now, but it will all work out. If it hadn’t been for your actions the king and his shield would be dead. Gladio and Noctis would be without fathers.”
“And had it not been for your actions we would be without a city to come home to.” Ignis responded in kind with. The Glaive gave him a smile as he ran his hand through Ignis’s dirty blonde locks that acted like his hair, forcing them down from their styled look. Nyx liked it better when the younger man didn’t style his hair up like how he usually did, not that he didn’t look good, because goddamn his boyfriend was good looking, but mostly because he loved to play his hair when it was down and free from the styling gel. “Had it been not for you, Insomnia would have fallen. I think the Crystal picked the wrong person to be the L’Cie.”
“I don’t think so. Yeah, I know it’s not easy being a L’Cie. I know. But,” he said, moving his hands to the other’s shoulders and gently pushing him up so he was sitting up on his knees. Nyx then sat up and reached over, he grabbed the hem of his younger lover’s shirt and pulled it up and over his head. he smiled at the flawless skin in front of him, he didn’t miss the blush on Ignis’s face. There wasn’t a blemish on his skin, at least if one could get over the mark of the L’Cie on his left pectoral. He ran his thumb over the black colored tattoo, a fond smile on his face. “The Crystal picked the perfect person to be the L’Cie. Though this land hasn’t heard of a L’Cie in thousand and thousand of years, but it felt the need it needed one now after so long,” he started, tracing the lines and arrows that came from a center point of the mark. “It needed to be someone clever, level-headed and someone it knew that would do everything their power to protect the kingdom and the royal family. Who better then you, Ignis? There is no one better. No one.” he leaned forward kissing the mark and pressing his forehead to the middle of the younger man’s chest. He smiled sadly when he felt the other males chest jump a bit and chuckled when he heard his breath hitch. “Awe, babe no, im sorry-“ he said between small chuckles as he looked up at his now teary eyed lover.
“I- You are an imbecile. Why do I even love you?” Ignis asked, jokingly of course, Nyx knew. The said immigrant watched as the advisor to the future king tried to get the tears under control. Reaching up, he cupped his uninjured cheek, using his thumb to wipe away the tears that fell from his love’s stunningly beautiful, emerald colored eyes. Nyx didn’t keep track of how long it took for Ignis to calm down, but he held him tightly against his chest as the younger man cried out his stress, clinging to the Glaive tightly as if he would be taken away from him in a moment’s notice. Nyx was sure that Ignis would fight anyone; even the Astrals if they tried to get him away from him right now. When Ignis finally did calm down, Nyx didn’t waste time in carefully scooping him up in his arms and carrying him to their room. Using his hip, Nyx bumped the door open carefully and laid the lanky man on the bed, he pulled the covers out from under him and made sure to lay them over the now tired L’Cie. Nyx easily plucked his beloved’s glasses off his face, setting them on the nightstand next to the bed.
He had intentions of letting Ignis rest, but found himself unable to get up as the said man below him had reached up and wrapped his arms around his neck, keeping him in place. “Yes, babe?” he asked, the emerald eyed male cupped Nyx’s cheek and pulled him down, their lips meeting in a soft, sweet and warm kiss.
“Thank you, my Hero.” Nyx smiled at the words Ignis spoke once they pulled apart slightly. he leaned down, capturing his lips again in a kiss.
“For hearth and Home.” He mumbled, making the man below him blush again and playfully swat at his shoulder. Nyx laughed as he laid himself on top of the shorter man. “For my Hearth and for my Home.”

I had just read the drabble scenario (about the Chocobros' reactions to finding out about his s/o is made into l'Cie against their will; and s/o completes her Focus, turned into crystal stasis). And I was wondering if you could write a sequel to it, about the Chocobros and their S/O being happily reunited? Please?
Oh of course sweetie! l’Cie just seem to have a sad story around it all together! We’re getting happy endings!! Sequel to l’Cie
~~~~~
Noctis
Heads hung low, the battle was over, yet still the three man stood in spot, looking to the large light blue crystal, surrounding their brother and King, along with the woman who loved him so dearly. Forever frozen within the final moment of their love.
“Should we…should we leave them here?” Prompto asked, uncertain if they could even chip down the crystal that surrounded you both.
Ignis sighed, he could not see his life long brother, yet he could still feel him there, “I believe this is what Noct would have wanted.”
Gladiolus gave a slight chuckle, “Come on, we should tear down the curtains so they can see the sunrise too.”
As the three men moved about the old throne room, their minds drifting to days of their youth. Almost hearing the jokes and laughter when the room was filled with people, huge balls held within the walls. The curtains never drawn in those old days, as sunlight always shown within the ballroom.
As the final curtain fell to the floor, from a taunt pull, the men moved back before the crystal holding their King, all standing within salute, awaiting for the sun to arrive through the Citadel’s walls for the first time in 10 years.
Only to stare at the large crack that appeared within the center of the crystal, watching as it quickly cracked like a crack in ice. Gladiolus had quick enough sense to grab ahold of Ignis and Prompto, dragging them behind a huge uprooted piece of ground, just as a bright light erupted from the throne.
A white light cascaded over the floor, through the citadel, into the streets of Insomnia. Almost as if everything the light had touched or came across was casted from the darkness to return to the glory it once held.
As the light begun to fade, Prompto peek around the large form of Gladiolus who was using his body to shield the two smaller men. Only to be left speechless, as he quickly moved from the man’s grip, rushing to the area just below the throne.
Gladiolus turned over his shoulder to see what Prompto was after, only to stare in shock.
There stood Noctis, looking ever the regal King he was to portray, including a new attire. While you stood beside him, wearing an elaborate dress to match the man, very much alive.
“Noct! Y/N!” Prompto called, as he rushed forward arms open wide, before throwing himself into the both of you.
“Prompto?” You both called as his arms held onto you tightly, only to surround by another pair of strong arms, than one more. Looking up to see that you were surrounded by your brothers, all hugging you tightly
The five of you all stood in the embrace, even as the sun rose through the windows of the rebuilt Citadel. Only to finally step away to see how much had returned with your crystal sleep shattering.
Noctis turned, noticing that you weren’t following, “Y/N?”
You looked toward the throne, the throne that was suppose to take your love, and freeze you in time until another god deemed a need for you. Wondering why they would take pity on you now? Only to turn as you felt Noctis’s gloved hand slide into your own, a small smile drawing to your face.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
You cupped that clean shaven face, pulling him forward to press a kiss to his lips. The one you were denied, “I am, because I have you.”
~~~~~
Prompto
Prompto shivered, it was so cold this winter, yet that did not stop the man from taking part of his lunch break to go outside to the rebuilt courtyard of the Citadel. Insomnia was now a rebuilt city of glory, the King on his throne, and flourished in just the year.
Many thanked you as you had been the one to warn Prompto in your final moments that Noctis could be saved and that some of the gods were on the side that wanted the man to live. So they had bought you surrounded in your crystal back to the grand center courtyard, that always got the most sunlight.
On some of the brightest days, your soft orange crystal shining brightly, reflecting the light to bounce around the plants surrounding you.
Prompto would sit down on the little bench made for him by Noctis so that he could come and visit you. Which the man did, rain or shine, snow or heat, the blonde man would sit and talk to you a few minutes every day. Sometimes about nothing at all, or about his day, every so often he would find flowers place at your crystal, or a little trinket, from one of his friends.
Dusting off the snow or leaves and petals that fell onto your crystal. A smile on his face, as he always seemed so peaceful when he was with you. Only for when his break was over to place a hand on the crystal, leaning his forehead against the crystal, with a soft “I’ll be back later, I love you.”
So when Prompto stepped outside to visit you on his lunch break, he was shocked to see another person standing there, a hand against the crystal you had been trap within. Only to realize that it was Gentiana, the woman smiling toward Prompto, never uttering a word as she shifted into her god form, pressing a kiss to the crystal before a sharp wind spiked up blowing around snow and ice as she disappeared.
Prompto shielded his eyes, only for the snow to die down, as he stared in shock. The crystal was struck right down the middle, creating a beautiful blossom of a flower as you stood in the center, your eyes widen in confusion, before falling to the man before you.
“Prompto?” You smiled, “Prompto!”
Prompto quickly rushed forward, his arm open as you stumbled from your perch, hugging him tightly. The man, stroking your hair time and time again, than going to wrap his arms around you tighter, repeating the gesture again and again to make sure you were really there. Your name repeatedly falling from his lips.
You clung tightly to the man before you, “Prompto, I heard you, I heard you speaking to me, every day. I love you so much! Prompto, I love you!”
Prompto pulled you closer, pressing his lips against your own, tears streaming down both of your faces. Unable to move from this position, not wanting to. This was the first time the man held you within his arms in a year, the rest of the world could wait, just a little longer.
~~~~~
Gladiolus
He had to be close, he knew he had to be close, he felt it. Gladiolus had returned his King to his throne, and while Insomnia was being rebuilt, the man realized that his home would not be complete without you.
The man had called in favors from Cor and Iris to assist him in finding where your crystal stood. With the help of the others, he had found a way to undo the curse the gods had put on you to tear you away from him.
Not a day went by that the man did not keep that letter you provided him close to his chest, a driving force to get back the woman he loved so dear.
“We’re getting close, Gladdy.” Iris smiled, hiking up the mountain.
Gladiolus recalled this place, it was the same spot that he had asked you to forever be his own so many years ago. Coming around the bend the man was shocked to see a large tree untouched by the 10 years the two of you were separated, a dark red crystal sitting in the knot hole at the bottom, what appeared to be a body curled up inside.
“Is that Big Sister?” Iris asked, as Gladiolus quickly approached, kneeling before the crystal.
“Only one way to find out. Stand back.” Gladiolus summoned his weapon of the Kings, drawing back the sword, before slamming it into the crystal, hearing a crack, yet not seeing a result. Pulling back again the man swung hard, a crack appearing. “Third time’s the charm.” He smirked, pulling back, letting out a roar as he put all his strength into slamming the sword into the crystal watching it shatter.
The two Amicitia siblings watched, as you seemed to age before them, your body transforming from the young 20 year old woman, to the more matured body of the time you had slept, your hair growing long, body shifting to a mature woman.
Gladiolus chuckled, it seemed that while you were stuck in your crystal status you had taken one of his favorite tank tops to cuddle against. He had wondered where it went all those years ago. The man moving forward, as he pulled you into his arms.
“Is she okay?” Iris called, as the man knelt allowing you to rest against him.
“Yeah.” Gladiolus smiled, only to hear you moan softly, watching as your eyes blinked open, before focusing on him. “Morning Babe.” He chuckled, how long ago was it that he had said that.
“Gladiolus?” You muttered, reaching up to stroke the man’s cheek, he looked so much older and handsome. Rolling your head to the other person beside you, only able to tell by the eyes, yet even she looked so much older. “Iris?”
“Big sis, how are you feeling?”
You smiled, letting out a giggle, as tears began to fall down your face, only for them to turn to sobs of joy as Iris wrapped her arms around you from one side, burying her face into your neck, as tears began to fall from her. Than Gladiolus wrapping his arms around the both of you, holding you both tightly.
“I love you both so much.” You sobbed softly, only to feel the two you loved more than anything else in this world hold you tighter.
~~~~~
Ignis
Ignis moved to the spot where he last held you all those months ago, his hand holding the final item he needed for this to work. A scale of Leviathan, and the goddess did not want to give it up without a fight, lucky she had left a lot of them around the wreckage of Tarabene 10 years ago.
The man continued his job of assisting Noctis with retaking the throne and building Insomnia to it’s former glory. Yet every spare moment the man would research and find a way to bring you back to him. Luckily his brothers, felt the man’s grief at missing you and assisted in every way possible to bring you back.
Placing the scale against your crystal imprisonment, Ignis still believed that he could faintly see your outline within the dark purple crystal that had cut you from his arms. Placing a hand to the crystal, Ignis closed his single decent eye, resting his forehead against the crystal as he did so long ago. He could still faintly hear your heartbeat inside, as you slept.
“I will never abandon you, my love.” He smiled softly, as he heard your heart quicken slightly. Something he heard every time he spoke to you, it was always faint, but seemed to grow louder when he spoke.
The man stepped back, removing his wedding band of a simple black band to match the one on your left ring finger. Both of you had gotten married not long after Noctis had been sucked into the crystal, spending every moment together, finding just the little bit of joy within the darken world around you both. Placing the ring on your crystal, as he stepped back, his limited vision watching your crystal closely.
Ignis held his breath hoping this would work, praying that he would not fail you. Only to watch as the top of your crystal imprisonment suddenly disappeared, waiting as it quickly rolled down, your body free to the world. Ignis quickly rushed forward, holding out his arms as your body fell into his awaiting arms.
The man holding you close, as he leaned forward a smile across his face as he heard the soft pant of your breath against his ear. Cradling you close, as he knelt at the foot of the small gathering of items he collected to hold you again.
“Iggy…”
He chuckled, hearing your soft whisper against his ear, “Yes, my love, I’m here.”
You smiled softly, using every bit of your weaken body to circle your arms around his neck. “Oh Ignis, I never stopped dreaming of you. I knew you’d be able to do it.”
Ignis chuckled, burying his face within your hair, “I hope that I did not make you wait too long.”
You smiled weakly, “Always on time my love.”
Ignis gripped your left hand within his own, pressing a kiss to the band that he gave you to show his never ending love for you.
“Ignis, husband, where is your ring?” You inquired, knowing it was a silly thing to think about at a time like now, but you were trying to distract yourself from the tears that threaten to spill.
“I do apologize, my beloved wife, I seem to have misplaced it around here.” Ignis chuckled, a tear slipping from his visor. “Would you mind helping me find it?”
You glanced, around tired eyes looking for the black band, finding it besides a small statue that resembled Shiva. Reaching out to pick it up from the ground, brushing it against the sleeve of your shirt, before placing it, it on the rightful place. Turning to the man who had saved you, as you reached up, removing the visor to look upon the man’s face.
Ignis could make out your face, as he slowly moved forward, pressing his lips against your own. Something he had missed doing since he was so rudely interrupted out of living his happily ever after.
You felt your cheeks become wet, as you smiled against the lips pressed to your own, uncertain if they were from your husband or you.

Elsword crossover with another game. (Any)
Someone had royally fucked up. It was Add, to be precise, and now the El Gang was in a totally new world. A rift of different versions of the same universe.
Right off the bat, Cloud Strife, Prompto Argementum and Chung are the first to meet and just kind of gawk at each other.
“What the Hell.. It’s me but.. A pikachu..” Cloud mutters.
Add and Noctis meanwhile are making out in the far corner.
Hope is trying to get Elsword to stop breaking things.
Lightning mistakes Ain for another L'Cie, and Ain gets irritated when he explains he’s literally an actual agent created by the God, not a human selected by the God.
Raven and Barret talk about things like mechanical prosthetics. They’re the calmest.
Elesis and Reno go on a pranking spree, and get their asses handed to them by Angeal who gets tired of their shenanigans.
Ignis and Ciel share recipes, and come up with new ones.
Rena, Ara, and Aisha go to the moogle chocobo carnival with Iris.
Let’s say it’s just a sparring shitstorm. It would be fun to watch.

Lady Luck
"So, want to tell me what exactly landed you here? It isn't usual for someone other than Lightning to talk to you, or your brother."
"Who?" A scoffed escaped a dark haired woman. Her legs crossed as he stared down at the brown haired man laying on his side, craddling his left hand to his chest. "No, seriously, who?" The woman leaned forward, resting her face in her hand which was supported by her knee. She wasn't shocked this man didn't know who she was talking about. Lightning was a fickle woman, didn't open up to people easily; fellow L'Cie or not.
"Lightning. The goddess queen of old? Knight to the goddess of death? The savior? Wow do they really have no information on the past that far back?" The woman asked brow raised, though despite her tone indicating that the man on the floor was stupid, she got no reaction out of him. He merely laid there before looking up at her and shook his head. Strands of his brown hair falling out of their sliked back style. "Anything at all?"
"Not that I know of. I wasn't allowed access to that information. People aren't supposed to know what I am anyway." He responded, at that the woman made a face of displeasure. "It's a long story."
"I'll say, damn bastards. There ain't anything wrong with ya if that's what the issue was." She stated, though with how sure she sounded, it was clear it shocked the man slightly. Said green eyed woman sighed as she unfolded her legs and leaned forward. "You gonna get up? Or stay like that?" He gave her shrug, at this she sighed heavily and stood up before kneeling down next to him. "Up. Or I make ya."
"Why do you even /care/?"
"Make ya it is-" she said before grabbing him by the upper arm and yanking up, forcing the man to stumble upon to his feet. He glared at her for a moment before it disappeared just as quickly as it came. Though he still held his wrist to his chest. "You don't have to hide it here. It isn't something to be ashamed of." She assured him, though her tone was anything but comforting, noticing his hesitation, she reached out, lacthing onto his right hand and yanking it away. "There, much better."
"You know, just because you can touch me, doesn't mean you have to, Fang." The man mumbled, slightly annoyed. Though he wasn't annoyed with her, he couldn't be. This woman was the only person right now who he could put all his trust in. The only woman who knew anything about being a L'Cie. For as long as Luche could remember since becoming a L'Cie. Fang had made her presence known to him via dreams, or his many near death experiences. Shes confident, stubborn, and cocky even, something Luche often hated in people, but then that wasn't true due to his past relationship with Nyx.
"Well, that's quite the look. You okay?" She asked, now sounding concerned, worried even. Ah right, despite her stubborn, confident and cocky personality; she also was compassionate and caring for those who she deemed family and loved ones. "Let me guess, Nyx?" She watched Luche flinch at the name, though he didn't answer, he didn't need to. She knew that was what he was thinking about just based on his haunted expression. "You did what you had to. He ain't dead, he's alive and well,"
"And thinks me part of the reason Insomnia fell. Because I listened to a rock by not speaking up and being the 'inside man' to keep a close eye on those who betrayed the King." He cut in, giving her an exusghted look. Which she gussed is what lead him here, over worked himself until he fell unconscious somewhere and is now on the ground in the middle of nowhere. It was normal that this is how they basically communicated these days. "My gun was the one used to kill Crowe. Crowe. Our sister. Our best friend. Things would have gone differently had I spoken up, had I said something to the king before everything happened. If I had tried to convince the others that they didn't-"
"They would have killed you on the spot." Fang cut in, grabbing his chin and forcing eye contact. "Then what? Crowe's death would be for nothing. Nyx's injuries would be for nothing. The king and his shield would he dead for nothing. Everything has a role to play and if it didn't play like it was supposed to, then Noctis would truely be up shit creek without a paddle." She shoved the other's face a bit, turning away from him with a hand on her hip. Clearly she wasn't happy with what he was saying. "We L'Cie follow our focus. Or in our case, fight it to find a better outcome, or to change it. You are meant to do the same. Fight your focus to find the true one that is buried so deep down, you feel like there is no hope left." She turned back around to face the male, and sighed at the sight of him looking so defeated, so tired, so alone.
Which he was at the moment. He was traveling alone, cut off all contact with anyone else, he was trying to find his brother via hearsay and pure instict. It was a shock that he was even able to find out where Ignis had been or where he was headed. Traveling alone however had its draw backs. An example being the situation Luche was now in, hurt and tired from having to fight off daemons alone and taking hunts on alone. He often found himself in these situations, Fang was honestly worried about the progression of his Mark. If it opened up fully before his focus was complete he would become a Cie'th. A glance to his mark and seeing it hadn't progressed much, it made her feel a little better.
"Luche, darling Lu." She started, which prompted the man to raise a brow at her in confusion at the pet name. No one called him Lu anymore, he didn't allow it. Though this was Fang and the day he could stop her from doing what she pleased would be the day hell froze over. She walked back over, cupping his face between her hands, the look of confusion never once left his face. "It's hard I know that. Being a L'Cie isn't easy, it wasn't back then and it isn't now. But here is the difference, you have someone, me, to help guide you in the right direction. Even if it doesn't seem like it,I promise you that I am on your side."
Luche stood there, the look of confusion slowly melted away as he listened to her speak. Eventually he let his eyes cast over to the ground. Not like there was anything there other then blinding white. "Never once did I doubt that. It's just not easy doing this alone." He finally admitted, though he couldn't bring himself to get back in contact with anyone else. Not when the one person he actually wanted to speak with most believed him to be at fault for everything that happened in the crown city. "But I'm also a stubborn idiot who insists on doing this alone. With only you as my help. Right now, I can't trust anyone else. And not because they are suspicious, but only because of my own actions. Of I'm going to do this, I'll do this my way. If. Become a crystal by the end of it or before it....then at least I did something right. If I become a Cie'th, then at least I get the punishment I deserve for what I did."
"Punishment for what, Luche Lazarus? Doing what you were told? Saving the Orcale from being killed in the city? Protecting the man you love even if he too had to out the ring on at the end?" She asked, shaking her head and punching him in the arm. "There ain't nothing you need to be punished for. Besides, with Lady Luck on your side, you won't become a Cie'th. You'll be granted your Crystal sleep." She said, fliting the mood now. Luche merely scoffed and shook his head and he eyed her with an amused grin when the woman pulled away.
"Lady Luck is a-"
"Don't go there or I'll punch your lights out."
"News flash, Fang. I'm already out cold." That got a laugh from both. Fang smiled, this is what Luche needed. Friendly banter, and something to keep his mind off of everything that was going on. "Thanks, Fang. Really thanks. Get so into my own head I forget to look at the bigger picture." The woman shrugged, arms crossed over her chest now.
"It's okay to get into your own head. Your emotions matter as well you know. But as long you remember the big picture, it's alright and things are going to work out." She said, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Now wake up."
"Come on, son wake up." With a groan Luche slowly blinked, looking up at the familiar voice. He sighed when he was met the sight of the Hunter by the name of Dave. He was usually the one Luche went to for information on Ignis. "There you are. Maybe it's time you join a group instead of taking ever hunt on your own." The blue eyed male shook his head. "Suit yourself. But at least let me give you a ride to the next town."
"Yeah, alright. Thank you, Dave." He said, accepting the hand the other extended out to him. He hissed in pain when he was pulled to his feet but otherwise managed to stay on his feet. He watched the other man in slight confusion as he kneeled down to pick something up. He eyed the very fimiliar red colored lance in confusion and slight shock.
"Didn't know you knew how to use one of these." Luche blinked and took the weapon into his hand and stared at it. He chuckled a bit as he nodded, following the Hunter back to his truck, smiling down at the dog who always joined them. He opened the door and allowed the said dog to jump in first to sit between them before Luche climbed in. He sighed in relief and leaned back, shutting his eyes and holding the lance tightly. "Looks new. Just got it?"
Luche smiled a bit before he responded. "Yeah. It was gift from a friend. She's been hounding me to be more careful. Think I might listen to her now though."
"Good. You got people who care about you. I don't want to end up sending your brother to get your tags." Ouch, yeah that scared Luche a little bit. He didn't want to end up dead and have Ignis find his tags. "Next stop, Wiz's Chocobo post." He laughed at the loud groan he got from the other male. "You'll thank me."
Sure enough, when arriving Luche couldnt stop himself when he spotted an all to familiar person. And he most certainly did not mind the looks of confusion from Ignis' friends or the looks of confusion from the people at the post. Though, he did avoid answering questions about the red lance he now planned on keeping strapped to his back, and only responded by saying "It was a gift from my most loyal friend." He also didn't miss or question the voice and the smug tone
"See? Lady Luck ain't that mean."

How will the boys react when they find out s/o is made into l'Cie against their will; s/o then completes Focus and turned into crystal stasis (without the boys knowing what that Focus is)? (FFXIII AU I hope you don't mind! You don't have to answer this if you didn't play it yet)
I had to do quite a bit of research for this one, since I’m really only a fan of 15, but I think I got the gist of it…I think….(spoilers of end game, and DLC) ٩(•̤̀ᵕ•̤́๑)ᵒᵏᵎᵎᵎᵎ
Noctis
A scream, Noctis’ scream! That was the last thing you heard, before you own painful wail. Watching with tears in your eyes, as your body slowly became crystal. You had lost Noctis’ to the kingdoms crystal, and yourself had complete your l’Cie Focus.
Only to feel everything crash around you, your body hurt, but you were alive! How! Noctis was your Focus by the gods, how did you…You only realized what was happening as you glanced up, Noctis was holding you safely in his arms, yet he looked so much older.
“Y/n?” A call echoed around you, as you glanced around, Ignis, Gladiolus, Prompto, all of them! They were all safe, but so much older.
“What happened?” You inquired, as you sat up in Noctis’ embrace, noticing you were all at at campsite.
“That’s what we’d like to know.” Gladiolus replied. “After Noct was sucked into that crystal, you were turned into a crystal yourself.”
You froze, your job wasn’t done yet, moving your hair from the side of your neck, you showed a gem in the shape of a crown, hidden behind your ear, the l’Cie’s mark not just underneath. “I am a l’Cie, my Focus, my job is to lead the Final King to his throne.”
“I’m sorry what?” Prompto called, “What’s a La cry?”
You moved from Noctis’ arms, “A l’Cie is a person that had a need to fulfill, mine is to see Noctis to the throne.”
“Can’t you just ignore it?” Noctis asked, as you shook your head. “What happens after you fulfill this purpose?”
You looked up tears in your eyes, “I don’t know, it’s the gods plan, Noctis I had no idea that it would be you.”
Noctis, placed his forehead against your own staring you in the eye, “We’ll find out together.”
You couldn’t help but cry, you knew what would happen after the Final king was lead to his throne, yet you couldn’t bare to think about it again. All within your crystal cocoon, you dreamt of your adventures with Noctis, you just couldn’t bare to think of placing that burden on the man.
*
“Come to me!” Noctis called.
You tried to be brave as you watched the man you loved sit upon a throne that was rightfully his. You tried to stop the tears as you watched the astral appear before him, yet they came as you watched him be ran through.
You powered through your tears, you powered through your body slowly becoming crystal. Each footstep getting heavier as you ascended the stairs to be at Noctis’ side. You cursed whatever god lead you to this horrid ending, you cursed yourself for falling in love with this man, and having him fall in love with you in return.
Your body collapsed onto the throne, turning the man’s head to yourself, those blue eyes never to show you that bright light again. Cradling his face in your hands, you pulled him close to give him one more kiss, only to be denied that, as you were both engulfed in your crystal status, your lips barely ghosting across his.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Prompto
“I don’t want this, I don’t want this, I don’t want this.” You muttered repeatedly, your heart hurt so bad as you scratched at your L’Cie brand on your wrist. You weren’t even certain of just how long that you’d be able to stay. Your focus was to help Prompto with Noctis. He was one of the choosen to set the King to his throne.
When Ardyn had forced Noctis into the crystal, and you didn’t turn into crystal, you had to admit you were happy, the gods couldn’t use you, but the grief all of you felt at missing such a key part of your group was too much to bare. Those ten years in the darkness, they were to come to an end, because Noctis was back.
Yet that also meant so was your time with Prompto.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” Prompto asked, you had requested he meet you alone for just a few moment, prior to the start of the final battle.
You turned, embracing the man tightly, your face buried in his chest as you cried, “I love you so much Prompto.”
“Sweetie,”
“Thank you for loving me, thank you for being with me, thank you for making me yours, and yours alone.” You cried, all your words coming out. “I…I didn’t want this, I want our lives to be long, and happy.”
Prompto’s arms embraced you tightly, “What’s wrong?”
You pulled back, fishing in the front of your shirt to pull out your crystal within the shape of a gun, “I, I’m a L’Cie?’
“You’re talking like you’re some kind of mystical creature.”
“Prompto, I won’t be able to join you on your final mission, I won’t even last the night.” You cried, as you forced the gold gun like stone into his hand. “Please, Prompto, live a happy life.”
Prompto gather you in his arms, as he held you close, “I don’t know what’s going on, but is there a way to stop this?”
You shook your head, “I don’t…no…” You cry not wanting to hold onto the hope that there was some way. “Please Prompto, please just hold me, until it stops.”
Prompto nodded, he had just gotten his best friend back, now to lose you too. The man cried, as he held you tightly to his chest, he cried as your body became stiff, and he cried as a wall of crystal formed between you two.
~~~~~
Gladiolus
Gladiolus sat within his folding chair at the campsite, he was suppose to be happy, he was suppose to be more powerful, but he couldn’t stop this. He couldn’t stop this “Focus”, this curse that happened to you.
A note clinched tightly in his hand, your final words to him, all because he completed that trail.
My strong Gladiolus,
I had wish that I had told you this sooner, I will not be with you long. By the time you return I will be gone, my job, my focus done. I am a L’Cie, I explained it to Ignis, he’ll be able to fill you in.
Please don’t get mad, I know that you’re upset right now, yet I need you to be strong. Not for me, but for the boys, and for Noct, and Iris.
Oh Iris, tell her I’m sorry, I won’t be able to make it to her graduation. I know she’s going to grow up to be a wonderful woman, because she has a big brother like you.
Gladiolus, I love you so very much, and maybe if the gods see fit, maybe we can be together again. Maybe we can have that happy ending. You are so very strong My Shield, please protect your sister and your brothers. Please don’t ever think that I’m not dreaming of you, or that my heart could ever beat so strongly for anyone else.
I love you, Gladiolus Amicitia!
Gladiolus wasn’t sure of how many times he had read the last note you left him. Yet he knew that after he dealt with this Ardyn character he would find a way to bring you back.
“I promise, babe.”
~~~~~~
Ignis
“Ignis, my love.” You cooed, he was a little worse for the wear, but that was to be expected, you all had just finished the largest fight of your life for all of Eros.
Ignis turned his blind eyes to you, reaching out as he cupped your face. “How are you faring, my dear?”
You smiled softly, you had managed to divert the gods plans slightly, by making certain of Noctis survival, but still you would not be able to fix what followed. “I have, had better days. Are you hungry?”
“Y/N, you have been acting strange, since the end of the fight,” He stated. “Are you injured?”
You glanced at the horizon, seeing the sky turning to a soft purple, you didn’t have long, “Ignis it’s too much to explain at this point and our time is growing very short. My love, thank you for making me such a proud wife. I could not have wished for anything better.”
Ignis made to respond, only to stop as he felt you press your lips against his. The man wrapped his arms around you, holding you tight as you trembled in the kiss. Breaking the kiss Ignis removed his glasses, that single eye staring down at you.
“My heart, I do not know as to what circumstances are to pull us apart, but let it be known, I will fight gods for you.”
You couldn’t find your words as you looked to the man you called husband, everything he promised always came true. “I love you, my husband.”
Ignis pulled you into another kiss, “I love you, my wife, please understand that I will not be too long.”
“I will be waiting.” You smiled, stepping away.
Ignis hands reached out, his blind eye was only able to see movements and your silhouette was moving out of his vision. He instead felt your arms, as they slowly dragged down his, your fingertips ghosting over each other, before he felt nothing.
“I love you.” You cried, before becoming silent.
Ignis stepped forward, as his hand touched a large piece of crystal, he felt he could almost make out your body within the center, resting his forehead against the crystal, Ignis allowed himself to weep as the sun rose over Eros for the first time in 10 years.
“I love you too.”
Running All Night pt.3
“These were all we could find,” Nyx lifted his head, his gazed landed on the captain who was holding a box out to him and Ignis who was sitting on his right, dead silent, head hung low. The man didn’t even flinch when a drop of water landed on his face. He hesitated before slowly reaching up and taking the box into his hands. “It’s not much, but it is better then nothing.” even Titus sounded somber, upset. Despite being part of the Kingsglaive much longer then Nyx, and no matter how much more experience he had, the older man felt the loss of one of his best men deeply. Hell, it wasn’t even because he was a subordinate, Luche was their friend. He was the one in their group who always made sure they were well fed, well rested or even just in good spirits. Nyx rested the box on his lap, he took a glance to Ignis who didn’t seem to even want to look at the box, or anyone but the floor in front of him.
“Was it worth it, Captain…?” Ignis asked, tone low and so full of sadness and hurt. It made Nyx flinch a bit, Ignis usually was good with hiding his emotions, but when it came to family and friends, that wasn’t the case. Because here he was, so broken, so sad, feeling so alone despite the friends he had and despite the lover who was ever loyally at his side. “Was the mission worth it?” all three stayed silent for what seemed like several minutes before the Captain took in a deep breath and exhaled before speaking.
“I’ll make sure no one interferes with the investigation.” That was the last thing he said before the man turned and walked away. Nyx looked down at the box on his lap, it was closed, and he was sure that maybe Ignis would be the one who had more right to it then he did, after all, Ignis is- was Luche’s younger brother. Nyx leaned closer to the younger male when he heard a small sniffle escape the green-eyed male, when their shoulders brushed, Ignis was quick to lean against him completely. Both closed their eyes, ignoring how the dark clouds that loomed over the Crown city finally let go of the rain they held. A clear, but stereotypical indication of just how upsetting this day was, at least Nyx thought so. Minutes passed, the rain only got worse. Nyx could feel Ignis shaking next to him, reaching out he laced their fingers together, giving the younger male’s hand a reassuring squeeze. There was nothing he could say that would make either of them better, Nyx knew that, perhaps he would be the only one who knew that. perhaps he was the only one who would understand the pain Ignis was feeling right now.
“Nyx? Ignis?” Nyx wanted to ignore the calling of their names, but with the tone he knew ignoring Crowe wouldn’t help anyone, so he opened his eyes and turned his head in the direction of her voice. “Do you two want to come inside? Or want some company?” she asked, to tell the truth, no he didn’t want to go inside, and no, he didn’t want company, but he couldn’t speak for the future Advisor.
“Well, do you want either of those things?” he asked softly, pressing his lips to the other’s temple, he felt the younger man shake his head instantly. “No, but thanks for the offer Crowe.” He replied, turning to look back down at the sealed box on his lap, wrapping his arm around the still silently crying male. Nyx startled when he noticed the droplets of rain stopped hitting his body, he looked up and wasn’t in the least bit shocked to see Ravus standing over the two, holding an umbrella over their forms. He gave the man a weak but forced smile. he didn’t get one from the other man.
“It’s alright to feel hurt. To mourn over the loss of a loved one,” he started, looking at Ignis who had yet to look up once since he and Nyx arrived to the Kingsglaive HQ. “But, I wouldn’t advise making yourself Ill.” The man took a knee in front of Ignis, reaching out and placing his hand on his back, gently rubbing there. Nyx opened his mouth to respond, but the weight and someone wrapping his arms around his shoulders stopped him from speaking. He blinked a few times before it hit him who it was exactly. He smiled a sad smile, his eyes stinging as he placed a hand over the arms pulling him into a hug. At that moment, he finally let the tears fall, unlike Ignis though, his crying wasn’t silent and the hands that fell on his shoulders, head, neck, cheek and knees didn’t help the issue.
This was one of the many times that Nyx was grateful for having the Kingsglaive as part of his family, because with the loss of his sister and now the love of his life, he truly did feel like he had no one left.
Keeping track of time while being beaten just about every other day was impossible. At least it had become impossible after four days. Luche had given up after four days of trying to keep count just how long he had been trapped here. throughout his time here however, they had never once stopped questioning him about why he was sent. Though he wasn’t proud to admit that their methods got brutal and made him nervous whenever they came to get him. their most recent method? To start cutting away layer by layer of skin where his L’Cie brand was located. His screams of pain where not something he was proud of, but he was proud over the fact that he never allowed any information slip from his mouth. Now, Luche found himself leaning against the dark colored wall of the cell he was held in, his eyes where closed, giving off the appearance that he was dead asleep. His breathing was shallow and little quicker than normal.
“Still showing symptoms I presume?”
“Yes, infections of the wounds he has seemed to have made him ill.” At the sound of voices, Luche opened his eyes, letting them drift over to the two men standing in front of the cell. He gave them a blank expression, his eyes narrowed slightly when one allowed his eyes to drift to his left wrist which he kept cradled to his chest. “He’s what is called a L’Cie, humans branded and picked the Fal’Cie who once ruled over this world many, many centuries ago,” one man started explaining as he punched in a code on the small keypad by the cell doors, his glare only intensified when the said door slid open, allowing two soldiers to walk in. normally he would have fought back, but last time he had they managed to dislocate his right knee. And that was a whole different type of pain, so this time around he allowed himself to be hauled up to his feet before being lead down the dimly lit hallways of the facility. “If it wasn’t the Fal’Cie, it was the Crystals of the time. There was once a total of four, each one looked after by a different kingdom. Each one giving its L’Cie different magic abilities. Though, over time, all but one Crystal survived the passage of time, and eventually, with the dying of the three Crystals, the need for L’Cie became obsolete. Thus, new ones were never picked again. that is,” the man paused, once again entering a code into a keypad next to a set of heavy metal doors.
Luche frowned as he watched the all too familiar doors slid open with a loud hiss. Inside the room was the same as it always was, the same device he was first strapped to sat in the middle of the room, clean as usual. Even if he wanted to fight back against the soldiers as they got him once again restrained, but with the injuries he had and with how weak he felt right now, there was no chance that he could get away. He winced when his arms were pinned up above his head, a sharp pain shot up his left ribcage, he had almost forgotten that they fractured and or broke two or three ribs. “Until you and one other man made your existence own to the Crystal your beloved king protects. That’s when it decided, for whatever odd reason, it needed two. No more, no less.” Luche felt his blood run cold, that’s right, he had forgotten that Ignis’ being a L’Cie was not a secret. He stayed ever silent, only grunting in pain when his left wrist was fastened tightly into place. “Which then brings up the very important question; Why two? And of all the people in the world, it picked two plebeians.”
For once, Luche scoffed, shaking his head for a moment before he glanced down at his feet. He blinked in surprise as the two soldiers walked out of the room with a wave from the scientists’ hand. Typically, his ankles were also fastened to the metal stand he was currently on, however, either they got cocky that he was to hurt to try anything, or, they were new to the job. Either way, the blue eyed male merely gave a small grin, it disappeared as quickly as it came. For now, he thought it best to wait, he didn’t know how long he had been in here for, but he knew it was long enough to memorize the guard schedules. And he may or may not have remembered the override code said lab coat wearing man had. Though, he could know all of that and have mobility of his legs all he wanted, but what good would It do him when he couldn’t even get his hands free? Thoughts cut off when he felt the cutting of his skin just over the unworn L’Cie Brand, though, there was something he noticed under the pain he was feeling, both of his wrists were not pinned as tightly as they should have been. Another win for him, now he just had to wait.
And six only knew how long he would have to. For once since being trapped here, he didn’t feel ashamed of his screams of pain that echoed down the hallways.
“How long do you plan to keep on letting him sulk?”
“Depends on how long you plan on continuing to watch your guy get the life beaten out of him.” Fang scoffed, arms crossed over her chest. Though she supposed the goddess queen of old had a point in that, she was more then capable of getting her charge out of the situation he was currently in, being she was the only one willing to go against orders of the crystal to do so. “And depends how much you want to say, ‘screw you’ to the crystal and the gods, or should I say Bahamut?” she could tell by the narrowing of the other woman’s eyes and the tightening of her hand around her red colored lance that she struck nerve with mentioning her once Eidolon. “Fang,” the pink haired woman started as she walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. “What are you planning?”
If there was one thing Lightning knew about Fang; it was that she was extremely protective of her charge. Compared to her, Fang was much more involved with him than she was involved with Ignis. Though that was more due to personal choice, she didn’t want to make it seem like she was there to hold his hand, though she also knew that she was making it seem like she was leaving him on his own to figure things out. Which in a sense she was, but Fang? Oh no, not Fang, sure the woman never once gave Luche the immediate answer to situations, but she was much more willing to give out hints and help him out as much as she could and as much as he would allow while also being okay with. Despite both of their charges being connected, the two seemed to be taking two very different paths to the same goal.
“I’ll pull some strings.” She stated simply, judging by her tone, the woman was not only going to pull some strings, she was going to be there herself. Goddess Queen Lightning maybe, but she knew better then to try and get in Fang’s way, after all, Fang never once tried to tell her how to handle her charge thus she never tried to tell Fang how to handle hers. The two women had an understanding form the years and years of knowing one another and eventually even falling in love. Once brought together for a common cause, now once again brought together for another common cause and it was to save their once world from being destroyed and to keep the Oracle and Lucis Caelum lines from coming to an end. “I’ll see you later, alright?” Lightning could only nod as she watched the woman take her leave.
“Be safe.”
“Think they’re gonna be okay?” it was a question everyone at this point who knew Nyx and Ignis had been asking themselves since they received the news of Luche’s passing. Though Prompto was the only one willing to verbally ask. Noctis sighed, he had never once in all his years of knowing Ignis, seen him this upset. It had been about three days since a box of whatever belongings Luche had on him was given to the two. It remained untouched at the Glaive’s HQ, the two clearly having a hard time coping with the loss of their lover and older brother respectively. Ignis was already reserved and kept to himself, but these days, it was rare to see Ignis leave his home. As for Nyx he rarely went out with anyone these days; preferring to stay home and keep to himself. From time to time he and Ignis would meet up, however they never really spoke, they only sat at the highest point of the Glaive’s HQ to watch the sun set over their city. “Noct?” the said dark haired prince could only shrug as he leaned against the gunner. “Maybe we should try talking to them.”
“I’m sure people have tried but its clear that it hasn’t helped any.” Prompto huffed, getting up forcing the prince to sit up right. He watched as he walked over to the pair and sat between them. Noctis was a little shocked to see Ignis lean on their Chocobo loving friend so quickly. but it was a comfort as well, it was a sign that Ignis hadn’t pulled away from them completely. Seeing that, Noctis was quick to get up and sit on Ignis’s free side, wrapping an arm around his waist. “You know, dad tells me you often can feel when something’s happened to a loved one. So, maybe Lu is okay.” that seemed to get a reaction out of their green-eyed friend, he sat up and looked at the prince for a moment as if he had just given a clue to some great riddle of the world. “Ignis?” said man was quick to get to his feet, grabbing the back of Nyx’s shirt and pulling him to his feet despite Prompto being between them. “Hey. Ignis what’s-“
“The Crystal, come with me and I’ll explain everything.” The words spoken so quickly, Nyx was sure that maybe he had misheard the man speaking. Though this didn’t stop him or the group from the following the emerald eyed man down to the elevator to the bottom of this tower. “As you all know, Luche, much like myself is a L’Cie. Chosen by the Crystal to do its bidding for the grand scheme of things, however, despite both of us being chosen,”
“Only Ignis got training to balance out his new role to the Lucian Royal family, Luche was kept a secret, basically left on his own to figure out what it is he was supposed to be doing while taking on a lot of solo missions.” Nyx explained, taking longer strides to keep up with the slightly shorter, but younger man as he leads them out of the elevator and down the hallways. Though, Nyx could tell from the confused on Noctis’ face along with Prompto’s that they couldn’t grasp why Luche’s being a L’Cie was kept a secret verses Ignis who was basically outed to the world. “Luche was used for Recon missions. Assassinations and things of the like, verses Ignis who was outed to the world as a….” he trialed off, thinking over a better use of words as he didn’t exactly want to offend the man. “He was used and seen as a last resort situation.” He finally settled on. The group paused as they approached the Crystal room, they watched as Ignis spoke with the guards, they seemed hesitant on letting him in, though seemed to finally go along with his words as one turned to punch in a code then use a keycard to unlock and open the set of metal doors. “Ignis, what are you planning?”
“L’Cie often times can sense when another L’Cie is around, though that’s only if they are in close proximity,” Ignis stated, nodding to some of the men within the room as they stepped aside, allowing him to punch in a few codes into the keyboard in front of him. they watched as the metal panels around the large Crystal hissed and glowed with life as they slowly parted away from the brightly shining rock. “Though, who is to say I cannot ask the Crystal if he is still alive or not?” he asked the group as he walked around the long tables of computers and up to the said Crystal. With a large intake of breath, he bit his lip, pulling his gloves off and lifting his hand up to the rock. It took only an instant for the Crystal to react to his closeness to it. “Please, show me, please show me where he is and that he is still alive and well.” Ignis begged silently, wincing when the brand on his chest started to burn and ache.
For a long moment, he believed that nothing would happen, that perhaps his theory had just been that, a theory and something he used as an excuse to cling onto a sliver of hope that was fading away so quickly. though, the instant he went to pull his hand away, his ears rang, and head ached before images flooded into his head. Nothing but barren, snowy landscapes of Niflheim from what he was able to see, though in a matter of seconds he saw him, he saw the man they believed to be dead running though the snow, firearms in hand and wounds covering his body as he scrambled onto a snowmobile before riding off with several Magitek soldiers following behind. with a loud gasp his yanked his hand away, falling back and hitting the ground as he breathed heavily. He was vaguely aware of the group who had followed him now kneeling on he ground at his side. Worryingly checking over him for any signs of injury. “Ignis, Iggy what happened? What did you see if anything?” taking a few more breaths, mostly to calm himself, he lifted his head to look at the concerned gazes of his friends, for a moment he could see sorrow making its way back into Nyx’s eyes. Ignis gave them a smile, which in turn earned him gazes of confusion. “Iggs?”
“He’s alive. Hes alive and currently escaping from Niflheim.”
Being the last chosen L’Cie wasn’t how Ignis had imagined for things to happen when he turned 13. Nor did he expect to be thrown into Kingsglaive training along with his Crownsguard training. Years of this one would think he would be used to it that he wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. But even Ignis had a braking point and sometimes, just needed to be comforted and held like everyone else.
