She only knows that it has. And that it has no place among her duties to the Avatar.

AU in which Jesa and Hark heard that the Gravedigger and the Typhoon would be the Avatar's sifus, and decided that even the daofei could do a better job at it than them

I’ve finally been dragged back into fic writing after two years (Thank you Kyoshi novels)! Here’s a sneak peak for @kyoshi-era-week-24 under the prompt “Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder”:

Rangi—

I don’t think this letter will ever make its way into your hands. I like to think I’ve gotten better with the whole “lack of confidence in myself” thing, as you tend to put it, but when it comes to you, Rangi, all bets are off.

It’s been three months since we said goodbye at the port and that ship took you to practically the other side of the world. It’s not an exaggeration to say that I’ve thought of you every single day since that one. You are a constant to me, Rangi. Always have been, always will be. And I can only hope that you think of me the same.

This letter is short, but that’s fine. You’ll never see it. And I very nearly hate myself for writing it anyway.

Happy Kyoshi Era Week 2024!!!

Today is Day One for @kyoshi-era-week-24 and I am excited to see what everyone has created!

I stuck to a bunch of one shots for the week. There are a handful that I did get attached to and want to expand on in the future though!

Here is what I wrote for today’s prompts:

- Team Avatar (or where Rangi asks Kirima and Wong for help with a surprise for Kyoshi)

- Found Family (or where Kirima has a crazy idea and everyone except Rangi likes it)

- Daofei (or Hei-Ran watches the Flying Opera Company applying their faces before a job)
