She followed after Knuckles into his little home running her finger along the wooden structure. Despite looks she could tell he put alot of effort into building his own little place among the ruins. None of the others would ever know what it was like for him, and not even she could begin to imagine it. Alone for who knows how long, and given an impossible task. The Isolation alone must have drove him near mad---She wondered if Sticks and Knuckles would get along. They had alot in common in the way they grew up.

" ... Well it's better then the box i use to sleep in... that's for sure. I'll never cease to be amazed by your and Sticks ingenuity... i couldn't begin to build anything like this... "

She paced around the little room pausing as he explained this more modern devices. Tails was probably just worried about Knuckles and how that isolation might effect him. Sonic? Well who knew what his concern was, but he knew he was a good friend at least most of the time.

Yet his motion to join him got a soft smile out of her as she trace a finger across the top of the TV. Making her way across the room to where Knuckles lay quietly. She tilted her head as if debating just how she was going to curl up next to him ultimately getting a rather mischievous smile. She lay down on top of him her head resting on his chest as she folded her wings behind her and gazed up into his pretty eyes.

" Mmm boredom huh? Well don't worry, i'm sure i find something to occupy your time... can't have my darling knuxie bored now can we... "

She still didn't really know why she liked him so much, why she adored him above so many others. True she'd always had a crush on Amy but it wasn't the same feelings she had when she was with him. Having grown up on the streets, she knew what it meant to be on your own. The city might not be a vast island floating in the sky but it wasn't any less dangerous for a young woman on her own. That isolation, the fear of being hurt, and the drive to keep moving forward. Maybe in a way she knew what he lived through, even if there circumstances were so wildly different.

She didn't like the idea that Knuckles was up here all alone, and on his own. She couldn't imagine the mental toll that took on a person and was surprised he didn't end up talking to the statues or something wild like that.

She smiled and giggled a little at the notion of Knuckles Ancestors crawling out of the grave to yell at them or worse! Though she might have once thought it foolishness. She knew that Tikal at the very least could manifest near the emerald when she chose to. The last thing she wanted was his GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GRANDMA yelling at them or however many generations she was from Knuckles. Or at least Amy says she's still haunting the temple, and that girl had a feeling for the supernatural.

" I Suppose we don't need ghosts an spirits yellin' at us do we... "

She lamented but, flapped her wings to keep pace with Knuckles quick movements. Nothing she couldn't handle, she'd had practicing chasing after him and shadow at this point. Though she was shocked he'd show his little home off to her. Not that she hadn't followed him here once or twice she had enough respect to keep her trap shut about it--- despite rumors she didn't tell everyone's secrets for fun or anything. But no need for Knuckles to know that last bit...

" So this is where you go when your not at the temple? for a Jungle boy it's not half bad--- Did you build it yourself or did Tails give you a hand? "
