Hi! Do you know for how many years Louis’ current team has been with him? At least the main ones like his band, grooming, Helen, management? I was scrolling down on Louis’ insta and saw Helen’s comment back in 2017 and was like 🤔

this has been in my inbox for a while since it a big q and I've been on holiday on and off.. but here is a good bit of background info for you :
Helen Seamons has indeed worked with Louis since 2017. afaik she first styled Louis for the Observer Mag article shoot on 2/5/17. later that month Louis was styled by both Helen and Krystle for the Back To You music video and they have both been part of his team ever since. Helen has also had a few styling assistants working with her for Louis over the years, like Bemi Shaw (TXF 2018), Peter Bevan (since 2021) and Roz Donoghue (since 2022 I think?)
as for management, we first heard about Louis signing with Three Six Zero and Mark Gillespie for management in July 2018, around the time Louis started filming TXF, but it had probably happened a while before that (at least I believe that Mark - and Matt Vines too - had a hand in the way TXF was used as a reintroduction of Louis to both fans and the general public, and that deal had to have been made earlier that year). at some point however Louis seems to have switched from Gillespie and Three Six Zero to be managened by Matt Vines at Seven 7 Managent (or at least co-managed, because Vines has ties to Gillespie and Three Six Zero; he was VP of Artist Management at Three Six Zero’s UK branch before starting his own management co. Seven 7 in 2016) - who he’s still with today.
the band is a looong story.. as you may know Louis first put a band together back in 2017 for Miss You promo and a few performances like Royal Variety. Zak Craner was part of that band and is the only one still in Louis' touring band now. (tho Rich Zbaraski who was also in the 2017 band replaced Matt on bass for a few gig in 2022). sometime after Louis' time on TXF, probably in early 2019, a new band was formed. we don't have all the details but I believe Matt Vines brought in Steve Durham (who it seems he knew already) and had him put a band together (Matt Dinnadge talks about this in the video interview he did during the pandemic). the initail lineup, which we saw briefly for Two Of Us promo, consisted of Steve Durham (musical director, drums), Zak Craner (keys), Michael Blackwell (guitar) and Charlie Fowler (bass). later that year when Louis came back for the release of Kill My Mind the music video featured the same band except Matt Dinnadge had replaced Fowler on bass. Matt’s first live gig with Louis was Coca Cola Music Festival in Madrid. Isaac Anderson (rhythm guitar) was added to the band later in 2019 - his very first live show with Louis was the Telehit performance in Mexico City ! and those five have made up the band ever since ☺️

I'm EXTREMELY late and I'm so sorry!!!! Thank you so much for wanting to know more about a favorite sim of mine, because I adore so many of yours! (You killed the BHMCAS challenge!!!!!)
Since I just did Krystle Dyson, let's give her little sister, Tiffani Dyson, some shine (we're playing catchup in the gameplay updates, I promise I'm not ignoring her lol)!
(1) I have no reason to believe this, but I feel like she and her sister have Jamaican (Sulanian by default lol) roots. I always make them cook island inspired dishes (lmboo Grannies Cookbook never should've given me rice and peas with plantain & oxtail AND beef patty with coco bread, pls.)! Since they would've been babies at the time their family would've been cooking like this, their friend Tamara Franklin, who I also assume is Jamaican lmbo, taught them!
(2) Tiffani was supposed to be giving Black Girl Luxury/Soft Girl, before we even had a name for it. I wanted her to enjoy her life and her sought-after riches--mainly in contrast to her more tightly-wound older sister. She could have fun!!
(3) She enjoys getting her sister riled up, by just living her life! She lets her calm down soon after, but she knows by this point that Krystle's love is truly unconditional for her. She can do no wrong in her eyes! Still, they KEEP a "Smooth Apology" as a suggested point of conversation between them (LMBO)!
(4) Tiffani started off with the Party-Animal aspiration, which soon turned into the Serial Romantic aspiration, which soon turned into her struggling to be sat down by multiple pregnancies (lolll)!
(5) Tiffani Dyson has a personal stylist, who yall know as Krystle Dyson. This is how Krystle got put on in the first place, as a celebrity stylist and simtuber. To this day, I like to think her looks are carefully curated by her sister, even as her sole client!

Grimdark Magazine #40
I’ve been subscribed to Grimdark Magazine for years but my actual reading has been spotty at best. As someone with Opinions on “grimdark” I want to fix that, and so I’ll try keeping up with the new issues by putting down my thoughts here. This is my fourth time doing this on tumblr.
Late to the tenth anniversary issue, how embarrassing. Checking my archives, it seems I've been subscribed for six of those ten years and have read very few of the actual issues. Well, fixing that is why we're here today.
To be clear: this is mainly quibbling about genre(/aesthetics?). And also: not weighing in on whether any given story should be included in a “grimdark” magazine. I’m hammering out what counts as 'grimdark' for me, feel free to come along for the ride.
Just looking at the short stories themselves unless I come across a review for a book I’ve actually read or an interview with an author I already know.
We start with an essay, "Grimdark, Home of the Other" by Krystle Matar. Just picture me nodding along quietly with this one.
"The Little Mermaid, In Passing" by Angela Slatter
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: Murky.
Pretty much what it says on the tin. Wonderfully dark, but lacking grimness. Excellent ending twist. But the world as presented isn't miserable enough for me. Bastards, plenty. Doom, not so much.
"Lock and Key" by Wendy Nikel
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: Bowdlerized.
A very good, succinct twisted fairytale type thing, but not quite grimdark.
"Unholy Ghost" by Mark Lawrence
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: Inherited.
I have stumbled into Broken Empire spoilers. Ah well. Given Prince of Thorns, I'll let this one slide as grimdark, for many of the same reasons that one made it. The story's good, though unfortunately it seems my problems with Jorg occasionally being insufferable as narrator will remain through the series.
Essay/interview interlude for what is apparently the first part of "Project Starship" by Dr. John C. Muro, trying to deepen the connection between real-world science and science fiction. In this part by discussing materials used in starships from various "dark science fiction" book series. A little too academic for my tastes, but it's nice to see GdM publishing something like this and I hope it leads to similar series in the future.
"All the Riches of Suffering" by Ben Galley
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: Shipwrecked.
This one's a great time. A magic-adjacent system I haven't seen before, and almost non-stop action. A world-eating storm provides the grimness, in a way that reminds me of Blades in the Dark. But it does somewhat fumble the ending, meaning I can't claim it as solidly grimdark.
"The Absolute" by Aaron Dries
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: Hanging ten.
Here we go. Another one where the world's being eaten. I wonder how deliberate that is. Fully commits to an atmosphere of melancholy and quiet horror. Almost exactly what I want from grimdark these days.
Interrupt for a review of The Devils by Joe Abercrombie, which it sounds like I'm going to have to pick up one of these days.
"Under Furious Skies" by Christopher Buehlman
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: Knockout.
Crushing poverty and an encroaching, apparently unwinnable war. I'm in. The kind of grimy quasi-medieval setting that put Warhammer on the map. This is grimdark and I will be rushing to pick up the rest of Buehlman's works at the earliest opportunity.
"The Dreams of Wan Li" by Andrea Stewart
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: On the wind.
Yeah, I'll give this one a pass if only for the occasional mentions of climate disaster going on in the background. Plenty of bastards, at least. More understated than most of the others in this issue, which makes for a nice change of pace.
"The Subtler Art" by Cat Rambo
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: Punchline.
Not trying to be grim really, just a good time. So not grimdark, but very fun.
"Stones" by Anna Smith Spark
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: Sinking.
Dark but not grim. The twist comes about halfway through, and then it kind of plays out as you'd expect. Doomed in that way but it's not big enough to earn my coveted grimdark skull.
"Locke Lamora and the Bottled Serpent" by Scott Lynch
GRIMDARKNESS RATING: DNQ
Boo, part 1 of a two-parter to conclude next issue. I suspect it will not count, as there's no real sense of doom. Just a very grimy city. Still, fun though.

when a muslim woman isnt allowed to wear a vail, and when a muslim woman is forced to wear a vail, these are both types of islamaphobia and have nothing to do with antisemitism.
pairing condemnation of the two types of hate is a way of implying "jews are responsible for islamaphobia" and "muslims are responsible for antisemitism." which is PRETTY FUCKING RICH coming from white christian founding institutions.
i wouldn't even have been allowed into Harvard in the 1920s for being a woman and being jewish.
when i think of an antisemite i think of culturally Christian Krystle from Calabasis California in a covid mask and Halloween hijab costume bought on 10/7 from amazon banging on the doors of a college library yelling for jews to "go home" and "from river to the sea!"
or the christian nationalists who claims jews are literally controlling space lazars to start forest fires in order to deflect from global warming.

I'm not muslim, but i doubt they think jews are the cause of islamaphobia either.
It is very concerning that Antisemitism and genocidal calls against Jewish people are only deemed condemnable by governmental and religious figures if it is coupled with a denunciation of Islamophobia. Such conditional condemnations appear as mere political maneuvers, coated with empty lip-service. The Antisemitism we are witnessing today is clear advocacy for another Holocaust, where all Jews are being targeted. While acknowledging the existence of daily attacks against Muslims, the comparison fails, as there is no movement seeking the erasure of 1.8 billion Muslims from planet Earth. Insisting on condemning Antisemitism only if Islamophobia is condemned is dangerous because Islamophobia doesn’t come from Jewish people, and Antisemitism is of many flavours. Islam is not at war with Judaism; instead, both Jews and Muslims confront the threat posed by Islamist terrorists. Each struggle is unique, and imposing conditions on condemnation diminishes the struggles faced by innocent victims from different communities. You cannot compare a genocide, to an attack on a Mosque. When was the last time you heard of an interfaith event to condemn Anti-Black Racism… on the condition that Anti-Asian Racism is also condemned. These are two different struggles, and Asians in America did not live the painful history of African Americans or the slave trade. It would be an insult to the entire Black American population. To truly combat bigotry, we must unequivocally condemn each form without diluting their significance through false comparisons and misleading headlines. If you condemn Antisemitism, then condemn Antisemitism. Thank you and God Bless.

1) Un regard sur la Dynastie originale et comment elle se compare au reboot
Si vous êtes un fan de la télévision des années 80, alors vous êtes probablement familier avec le feuilleton de primetime Dynasty. La série suivait la riche famille Carrington, et le drame qui s'ensuivait entre eux. La série était connue pour ses décors et ses costumes somptueux, et pour ses intrigues qui impliquaient souvent la trahison, l'adultère et la cupidité. Si la série originale Dynasty a connu un énorme succès, elle a été rebootée pour un public moderne. La nouvelle version de la série se déroule de nos jours et suit les mêmes principes de base que l'original. Mais comment la nouvelle Dynastie se positionne-t-elle par rapport à l'original ? Pour commencer, la nouvelle Dynastie est plus diversifiée que l'original, avec un casting plus varié de personnages. La série présente également des intrigues plus modernes, dont une impliquant un personnage transgenre. La nouvelle Dynastie est également plus exagérée que l'originale, avec des intrigues et des personnages plus scandaleux. Si la première version de Dynastie était vraiment exagérée à certains moments, la nouvelle version atteint un tout autre niveau. Alors, quelle version de Dynastie préférez-vous ? L'original classique, ou la nouvelle version améliorée ?
2) La mode de Dynastie - quels sont les personnages les mieux habillés ?
Lorsqu'il s'agit de mode, Dynastie est une série qui tient définitivement ses promesses. Les personnages sont toujours habillés sur mesure, qu'ils assistent à un gala ou qu'ils vaquent à leurs occupations quotidiennes. Et si tous les personnages ont un style exceptionnel, certains se démarquent nettement des autres. Alexis Carrington est l'un des personnages les mieux habillés de la série. Elle est toujours impeccable, même lorsqu'elle traverse des moments difficiles. Son style est classique et intemporel, tout en restant moderne et pertinent. Elle est l'exemple parfait de la façon dont on peut s'habiller pour son âge sans avoir l'air mal fagoté. Un autre personnage bien habillé est Fallon Carrington. Elle a un style plus avant-gardiste que celui de sa mère, mais elle est toujours bien habillée. Elle n'a pas peur de prendre des risques avec ses vêtements, et cela lui réussit toujours. Enfin, il y a Krystle Carrington. Elle a un style plus traditionnel que sa mère et sa sœur, mais cela ne la rend pas moins élégante. Elle a toujours l'air polie et soignée, même lorsqu'elle est pressée. Alors, selon vous, qui est le personnage le mieux habillé de Dynastie ?
3) Les plus grands scandales de Dynastie - lesquels vous ont le plus choqué ?
Les années 80 étaient pleines de drames démesurés, et Dynastie en était l'incarnation. Le feuilleton populaire était rempli d'argent, de pouvoir et, bien sûr, de scandales. De l'infidélité au meurtre, les moments choquants n'ont pas manqué dans la série. Voici quelques-uns des plus grands scandales de Dynastie - lesquels vous ont le plus choqué ? 1. La liaison d'Alexis Carrington avec la femme de son fils Dans l'une des intrigues les plus controversées de la série, Alexis Carrington (jouée par Joan Collins) a eu une liaison avec la femme de son fils, Krystle Carrington (Linda Evans). Il y a beaucoup de triangles amoureux dans Dynastie, mais qui est votre préféré ? Aimez-vous le triangle entre Steven, Sammy Jo et Krystle ? Ou, êtes-vous plutôt fan de celui entre Alexis, Krystle et Blake ? Personnellement, j'aime le triangle entre Steven, Sammy Jo et Krystle. Je pense que c'est parce que c'est le premier triangle amoureux de la série, et c'est aussi le plus dysfonctionnel ! J'aime aussi regarder Alexis, Krystle et Blake parce qu'ils sont tous des personnages très forts, chacun à leur manière. Et vous ? Quel est votre triangle amoureux préféré dans Dynastie ?

&&. announcing her royal highness, ( audrey fa ), the ( 36 ) year old ( princess consort/queen ) of ( monaco ). she is often confused with ( brenda song ). some say that she is ( materialistic & petty ), but she is actually ( insouciant & generous ).
fa yunru had the sort of rags to riches story capitalists love -- he studied english while growing up in china, but had always had a deep interest in technology and business. He finessed his way into a position with the china international electronic commerce center in the ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation, building connections with american businessmen and engineers in the process.
he’s enamoured with the idea of the internet, sees it as a tool for extraordinary things and so moves to america during the internet boom. develops a web portal for connecting businesses to businesses that eventually becomes an e-commerce company designed for helping small to medium sized retail businesses. he starts calling himself jason fa and names his newly born daughter Audrey after his favorite American actress.
audrey doesn’t remember being poor. she knows that until the 8th grade, it was her mom who cooked her lunches and helped her with homework. but then her family becomes millionaires overnight and she’s being moved to private schools with other rich students, prepping harder than ever for university and a potential inheritance.
she slips into the finer clothes, more refined etiquette with ease, with a naturally keen eye for high quality jewelry and accessories. she has her father’s skill for making friends with people in high places, though it’s definitely easier when she’s wearing the latest trends like them. she loves having access to fancy restaurants and exclusive clubs, adores how people look at her as if she’s someone worth knowing.
her father was rejected from stanford’s graduate school ten(10!) times; audrey is accepted in the first round of applications. it helps that she has internships every summer in the subsidiaries oriented towards fashion and clothing retail, and volunteer experiences every holiday break in various sunlit beach locations.
she knows she has a job waiting for her with her father, so she pursues an mba immediately after her undergraduate degree, gets placed on numerous 30 under 30 lists, all because she’s a creative director in one of the biggest companies in the world (never mind that she shares her last name with the founder.)
by the time she meets violette grimaldi, audrey is vp, asia operations and always on the hunt for investors -- her dad’s hoping to take the company public soon and ever $$$ invested would increase their value. It seems like a natural fit with audrey’s tendency to follow and vi’s more calculated moves. the princess opens the door to a rich man’s haven, and audrey is greedy for those connections (and thankful, of course, for the opportunity 😇).
her reputation is one that is cultivated carefully; audrey knows she comes across foolish and vapid. she tends to talk more about fashion than finances, clothes over corporations. she’s not quick on her feet however, and her perceived ignorance tends to buy her the time she needs to make thoughtful decisions. honore seems to catch on to this faster than most.
he sees her. perhaps it’s because he’s dated many beautiful women, enough to know that it was rarely the only attractive quality about them. whatever the reason, he sees her and under his gaze audrey feels exposed and bold and vulnerable and powerful all at once. It’s a heady rush of a feeling that unnerves her as much as it excites her; the nda is welcome if only because it helps her stay rational about whatever their relationship might be.
and saying yes is the rational thing to do when he proposes. she’ll have to give up her position in her father’s company but the fa’s understand the importance of positional theory -- a princess consort, a halfway queen placed in one of the richest countries in the world isn’t something to toss away over less meaningful relationships. she’ll find a way to make peace with Vi, or so she hopes.
jason fa tells her she’s about to embark on a difficult task right before she walks down the aisle, three years ago. politics isn’t her strong suit, but negotiations are and audrey is reasonably confident in her ability to make people love her. besides, everyone seems to know her weaknesses already: the easiest way to gain the somewhat queen’s favor is to help her family.
there’s a tension between vi and audrey though it’s rarely palpable -- their good humor has cooled considerably since audrey’s marriage though they remain professionally aligned. audrey has arrived at the program to bolster her relationship with honore’s daughters, not only because she genuinely wants them to be friendly, but also because honore clearly cares for them and audrey cares about maintaining her status with him.
she might not be his favorite wife, but she’s determined to be the last one
audrey is decidedly not serious -- she’s a nouveau riche, daddy’s girl who wants influence and attention more than anything else and a fervent believer in the idea that it is better to be loved than feared. she’s not hungry for power but influence -- she doesn’t care about politics, but she cares about policies that may affect her family business. in some ways she’s sort of prepped to be a pawn for someone cleverer but we’ll see
some other character inspo for her include: marcia roy (succession), margaery tyrell (game of thrones), cher (clueless), elle woods (legally blonde), krystle/cristal (dynasty), london tipton (suite life of zack & cody)

I know people mean well when they point out that racism is taught and that it’s a learned behavior.
The statement is usually followed by a picture or video of a white kid and a black kid hugging or something like that.
It makes me go back to my childhood and think about all of the things that racist white kids have said and done to me.
Before I was school age, I went to daycare. There were only other black kids there, so I didn’t encounter white kids until I started kindergarten. I went to school in a rich, white suburb.
I remember these 3 specific things happening at my school during Kindergarten:
There was a white boy who used to caress my cheek and tell me how soft my skin was every day. My teachers (I had 2 kindergarten teachers) never bothered to do anything about it. They thought it was “cute” and that there was nothing wrong with his behavior.
When we were learning about Thanksgiving, this white kid came up to me and said, “Krystle, we’re studying your people!” I had to explain to him that I was not Native American and that I was black.
I was playing with this white girl at recess and her dad saw us playing together. He complained to my teachers and to my principal that he didn’t want her playing with a little black girl. My principal told him that he should take his daughter to another school if it bothered him that much. (My elementary school principal was amazing BTW! She always looked out for me).
I share these experiences because the point is that even if racism is taught and is a learned behavior, it doesn’t lessen the effect of racism that black kids have to face.
A little white kid saying the N word, making fun of black girls’ hair, etc. is still harmful and wrong even if it was taught to them. Their behavior is still abhorrent regardless of the reasons behind it. Black kids, especially black girls, don’t have the luxury of living normal childhoods because we have to racism from kids and adults.
Also, we need to talk about how racism is still alive and well because it’s still being passed down from generation to generation. But that’s a conversation for a different day.
