Do you like forewings or hindwings better?

Well that's a loaded question!

Forewings are what people think of when they think of most moths and butterflies because they tend to be up front and center and directly visible, so they're the first thing you see.

This is in addition to beetles, who have converted into a shiny and hard elytra with typically beautiful patterns (fashionable AND functional).

So I can see why they get most of the attention. But so many species also have delicate or beautiful hindwings as well, hidden eyespots or colorful patterns meant to scare predators or lure others.

Really when it comes down to it though this is the bug equivilant to "are you a boobs or ass person?" And while I would say forewings captivated me for quite a long time, I've come to appreciate hindwings as well, in all their subtle beauty.

So the answer is both are sexy.

I'm sure this idea isn't at all original, but back when Dracula Daily was so super popular and I decided to just go and read the book (I was much too impatient to read it slowly daily) I had the idea of making an absolutely horrible Dracula/Sherlock Holmes crossover fic. (part 1)

First off ease spam me I really like the idea.

Ok so as Dracula is written I diary entry style and I have read enough sherlock to get the doyle writing style.

Ok so Dracula is doing shit and van helsing informs sherlock and Watson about the bullshittery, sherlock already is paying attention to said bulshittery bc this is london people are anaemic just nkt thatt anaemic, at this point Dracula is basically fangirling like a 12 year old and making love struck notes in his diary bc sherlock has a reputation (he wants a daddy, ok I'll stop)

Once Sherlock figures out the shit about dracula, he now needs to figure out how to catch him.

At this point drac gets all "uwu I have a stalker now" hes dracula and hes got some weird priorities and starts running away but keeps leaving lovestruck notes for sherlock to fond, which is evidence but also flatters sherlock a lot, a bit more than it should in fact.

Watson is watching in the background heavily concerned, maybe a bit turned on depending on what we're trying to do here.

Essentially both drac and sherlock end up smitten with ewcchityer but one day drac gets caught, the whole ancestral soul thingy is revealed and unwilling to see his beauty go he rushes to get the. coffin with some bs excuse.

Then they fuck.

Then shit goes down, probably by helsong andrdrac gets killed sherlock gets depressed and watson is there to help

neteyam made his way over to your dorm, trying not to get a speeding ticket in the process.

his mind was racing as he tried to focus on the road. never in a million years would he think he still had a chance after all this time, after he made the dumbest decision in his life and let you go. he berated himself on it every waking day, praying to eywa you'd take him back.

he found a parking spot, not caring if he had parked horribly and pissed some other student who lived in your dorm building off. he ran up the stairs, figuring the elevator would take too long. he sprinted to the door he'd knocked on thousands of times, out of breath by the time he arrived.

only to be met with ao'nung.

"hi." ao'nung was the first to speak, making no move to let neteyam inside. the door was just slightly opened, with him blocking neteyam's view from the outside.

"uhm, hi," he dryly responded, trying to look inside. "is she-"

wordlessly answering his unfinished question, the door was opened to reveal a sleeping you, a soft smile making it's way to neteyam's face at how peaceful you looked.

"are you here to apologize?"

the other boys voice snapped him out of his trance, and he nodded in response. "she's sleeping, so i don't wanna wake her or anything," neteyam paused, suddenly not feeling so confident anymore. "just— can you let her know that i came? i'm ready to talk whenever she is, she can take her time."

"yeah, don't worry, i'll let her know." ao'nung quietly replied, the two bidding a farewell before he closed the door, making his way back to the couch. you had started to stir, hearing the door close, not seeing who was standing in the other side.

"who was that?" you croaked, trying to rub the sleep out of your eyes.

ao'nung hesitated, knowing it wasn't his place to reveal anything other than the truth, but instead laid back on the couch, grabbing his blanket.

"it was no one."

When I was in high school, there was this jerk in my french class who never did classwork and aggressively pestered me for answers all the time to the point of punching my desk. I decided to get revenge. At the time, it was common for people to put dental elastics around the dials on people's locker padlocks but this could be undone if you broke the elastic but I wanted something more aggressive so I used Krazy Glue on the shackle of the lock after school. They had to cut the lock off.

SPONTANEOUS ASK favorite crackship and why???

genuinely have been thinking about this so hard since i received it. like i've never really thought to RANK crackships before - and tbh, half my actual ride-or-die otp-tier ships are arguably crackships by SOMEONE'S standards

...ok now that i'm typing this out, i've realized the obvious answer here. it's adonis x adrienne. they're just so fucking funny. step-father adonis to nerissa and poseidon? hilarious. adrienne calling avery homophobic slurs for having a crush on her and then turning around 20 years later and getting with her brother? absolutely unhinged behaviour. adonis continuing to defend his abusive wife while entering into a mid-life situationship with his little sister's childhood best friend? so insane it loops into being in-character. adrienne cannot stand in the same room as him for 2 seconds without wanting to punch him in the face. adonis has no spine whatsoever but he's also going to try to dictate her political beliefs. like theres just so much potential in those two.

that being said, i know this ask is actually about pokemon ships deep down. so sorry for derailing with my ocs. let me come up with a pokemon crackship for posterity.

GENERALLY speaking, pokemon crossover concepts are fucking incredble. e.g. silver and ash is a dynamic i've seen a few times that always just makes me sjkdfghjkdfjghk also, a lot of things that really SHOULD be considered crackships are actually just. weirdly popular ships in this fandom (rivalcrush immediately springs to mind. like who conceived of this and why. how did it become so widely loved. i have so many questions that i frankly do not want answered). then you have your pokemon ships too right. krazy is another ship i feel just. slapped me in the face when i discovered how genuinely popular it is. the huge library of ash x pikachu fics that were. hilariously. so much more popular pre-dp when a lot of people still headcanoned ash's pikachu as female. like no one is doing normalized crack like the pokemon fandom.

anyway. having said all that. while pokemon live obviously gave us the gem that is diamondshipping, it also gave us something else. the absolutely unparalleled giovanni professor oak dynamic. so after a lot of thought - that's my answer. but like, EXCLUSIVELY in the context of pokemon live. or the delia inclusive polycule. thank you for coming to my ted talk
