Oh my god you are SO REAL for your hc that Burning Spice is hispanic
Like
Shadow Milk - French
Mystic Flour - Chinese
Silent Salt and Eternal Sugar...no idea for those two
I'm gonna use this as an excuse to say what my ethnicity hcs are for all of the virtues as well as the ethnicity of their kingdoms + some reasons why
Pure Vanilla - Greek
Hollyberry - French/Indian (rich food and wine like the french, but a hot, tropical climate with tigers like india.)
Dark Cacao - Korean
Golden Cheese - Egyptian
White Lily - Finnish (Has mythology with paganism, elves, etc)
Shadow Milk - Italian (Carnevale has lots of masks that remind me of him. Most of opera and grand orchestras are Italian also)
Mystic Flour - Chinese (Mandarin specifically, because the Silk Road first brought Buddhism to the north of China, where they speak mostly Mandarin.)
Eternal Sugar - I'm also unsure? possibly Italy as well because of the large Christian significance there.
Burning Spice - Mexican (Aztecs were in what is now Mexico.)
Silent Salt - Unsure as well. I think maybe French, seeing as that is where the concept of chivalry and Knighthood originated.

How do the demons react/interact with a human GN reader? Do they like foreigners? I feel like they might be racist? Does douma think of like foreign meat lol? Reader can speak Japanese so I guess they can talk if you want them to interact?
Also I love your righting! I think you are the only king writer who writes them in character, it’s so nice reading fanfic when the characters are writing well and you are the only person who writes them right, plus you write really well! Great detail! I always look forward to your writing!!!
*In History Channel II voiceover* After the American colonization by the Europeans, the Japanese folk started to distrust foreigner forces to not cause distubances in their recent adquired piece by pressing their influence, leading them to close the borders in the Edo period. It wasn't until- *static sound before it takes over the post*
Also, Douma reacting to western meat is gold, imagine if people tasted similar to their local cuisine. Bet that would make Chinese, Indian (from India, to make sure it's clear. I never refer to natives of America, as a continet, as Indians), Mexican, and Korean people his favorites (he strikes me as someone that loves spicy food, one of those who always say "It's not that spicy" while blushing and sweating).

Demons meeting foreigner Human GN Reader
Warnings: Cannibalism, Racism, Mentioned prostitution, Mentioned sexism, Mentioned/Implied reader's death (bonus dead reader), And Deshumanization? (Some of the demons get refered as "it", so does reader).
Tumblr media
Gyutaro + Daki:
Now, let's be clear, after the borders got open again one of the places that got the most amount of foreigners was the Red Light District. Obviously, only wealthy people came, hence they went to take some entertainment while making deals and trade, besides the Japanese upper class using the attractions as a displey of power and superiority. Now, to say Gyutaro and Daki are fond of these... turists... they are not.
It's mostly mild annoyance of things that build up, like their attutide to degrade the courtesans to just serve food, drinks and sex, the dislike of their accent and disregard of errors when speaking the language, the fact they speak of the courtesans in between them in their native language, a lack of proper manner or knowledge to behave in the tables, and everything. Daki still remembers the time on threw a poem she wrote with exquisite caligrafy. It's not pleasurable, but they rarely appear, so it can be tolerated. In some senses they are not worst than first time clients, or the poorest who are expending everything in one night of entertaining, but still.
"Excuse me." It was pure coincidence you met them, you only wanted to ask for the bill of the drinks of the woman attending you, wanting to leave as the bussiness trip was taking a turn out of your comfort zone. When you entered, you found a half-naked woman using sashes to absorbe the one who was attending you. You tried ran from it by miracle, scaping to the crowd. You tray to tell it to someone, but you just were discarted as drunk because due not being your first language, the fear, and the adrenaline of the scape anyone couldn't understand your Japanese. It was the second, the mere second you weren't watched that you felt a presence, a cold breeze of air and preassure that left you dizzy, that you suddenly found yourself back inside, in a dark room.
"I got --- -----, neheh." The voice sound so distorted you can't understand it, it feels that half of what he, you think, says are sick groans and moans of pain that slur words. When you look at the source of the voice you see a... is that even human? And the woman from before, tone more childish, but at least you can understand what she says. "Not pretty enough for me, clearly not a Japanese beauty. It might make me sick! I don't want to eat that! And I don't want you to eat it neither!" They both look at you, as you tremble, not knowing what to do. "Ne. You seem to be very lucky, ne. Good for you! None of use seems interested in eating you, so you get a quick death. Ne!" It.... he says, talking slowly, as he brings his arm up and blood starts to cone out of wrtist into his raised hand in the shape of sickle. You finally find your voice, talking in panic, as you beg in your native tongue. "Hey! We don't speak... whatever you are talking! Shut up! If you are going to cry at least do it in Japanese!"
They seem annoyed, and you don't know if you might manage to raise their volume so someone might come and see before they kill you, but you try to regain composture and talk in Japanese. Talk in Japanese, Y/N. "Please, I'll do anything. Let me go.... " You beg, in that you start to mention your family, your home, fuck you don't want to die so far from home, rambling in desperation things about your culture, traditions, your favorite places while thinking that you don't want to die without that in a place your loved ones won't be able to mourn you and by the time you realize... the female.... one is actually interested.
"What does that mean?" She seems curious... in a childlike way, which would be endearing if you didn't fear for your life. The other one seems to relax and let you both be. You don't understand, but you also dom't ask, just... satiate her curiosity, not fully so she won't decide she had enough of you, yet enough to give her something worthwhile. Aurprinsinly enough, they let you go when the sun comes out, or rather, they dissapear in a rush. You take your chance to leave, not without hearing a whisper in your ear. "You better come back tommorrow night, ne." You can only tremble.
Gyokko:
Gyokko can't stand good people on a good day, now imagine him tolerating turist in a normal one. He was just stealing viewing some foreign goods that just came in a ship, some more interesting than others, when you, who probably traveled in that same ship, walked on him. You freeze the second yoy lay eyes on him, clearly anything but a human being, mouthes where the eyes should be, pale scales instead of skin, no legs as the bottom is linked to a pot, an eye on the mouth and one on the forehead. You can only stare in confusion and fear, and after a few seconds of silence, Gyokko talk. "What are you-" "AAAHHHHHHHH!" You run, as if hearing.... it talk was the last straw, what you needed for your body to activate a fight or flight response.
"You little shit!" You try to get towards the exit when you get yourself tripped with abother pot... what that.... that wasn't there earlier, was it? You don't get an asnwer, instead you see that creature getting out of this new pot, slowly and smoothly, as if it lacked bones. You are terrified, what ia this thing? "Don't run away when I'm talking! You foreigners are animals or what?! You lack any basic esucation and respect to the ones that are older!" It talks so humanly, in the same tongue of the people native to these lands, one mouth speaking at the time.
It takes you a while to be able to regain the courage to speak, even more to remember how to do so in Japanese. "What are you?" You manage to ask, you think, fluently enough. Or maybe you didn't, because now it's your turn to be stared by those creepy eyes. You get the term "oni" or something like that, but you have no idea what it means. It's a monster? A ghost? A demon? Maybe asking, considering the bridge due the language, was useless, and it embarrasses you, but now your attention is more in how to get away from this "oni". "I... I need to go. Have an appointment." That is all you can try.
Gyokko looks at you, and decides to wonder. How would your skin taste? Would it be a delicasy? Or would he loath it as much as he is loathing your manners and personality. "An appointment, you say?" Or maybe, just maybe, he can take advantage of this. If one of his pots, or several, manage to reach outside Japan, he might be able to do so as well. (Not that he knows, he might not have enough power for such a trip, but a little testing would never hurt). "Then let me apologize for keeping you here." He makes a new pot out of one of his hands before offering it to you, you don't dare to deny it... maybe it's friendly. "I might give you more if we meet again, hehehe~" and like that, Gyokko leaves, wanting to see if he can get out of Japan, to conquer forward would definetely please him. And you... you can only keep the pot in your bag and never break it or take it out. Never.
Hantengu + Clones:
Hantengu is afraid of the seas, and anything that comes from it. Some fishes, waves, even people! How can people come from the sea?! Do they breath in water?! Are they monsters?! So scary! So scary! No! No! No! It's so scary he would never steal from any of those ships! Never! It's his hands! It's his hands fault! Have some compasion towards an old, blind man! Yes! He is blind! Please don't "EEEEEEEECK!" A scream, or rather a shriek, leaves his lips once you go to get your stuff. You have no idea what is hoing on, you just cover your ears under the assault on them. Meanwhile Hantengu is just. So. Scared! So he decides to take actions.
He runs. And you just look confused, precessing what just happened. Some seconds of silence and you decide that all of that was just your imagination and you must get to the inn to sleep it off. You didn't expect is to hear a different voice, angry, from the direction Hantengu ran off. "What?! This is it? This is what we were summoned for?!" Only to find completely different figures, ascept they are not. 4 horned "humans" with bright eyes, exactly the same from one another. Escept one that has... bird limbs? Talons in his hands, feet and wings... what is- "Now, now, Sekido! Be nice! Aren't you glad we got separated?" A different voice, even if it's just the same face, except the eye color. "It's pathetic how much Hantengu has come to rely on us, so sad. This is just a mere human, one of us is enough. Why call the four of us? Really sad."
Then one of them is suddenly on top of you, the bird one, making you fall on your back as he kneels on top of you to see you in the face, closer. He has fangs... and... kanji in the eyes. "This one is different, though. I can already taste it!" What the-? "Kill it! Kill it! It's a monster! It comes from the sea!" The figure from before, except it's so small. What happened to it? Him? You don't even know that. But most of the figures just stare at it, either looking done for or confused, as the one with red eyes talks again. "What? This human? You have to be fucking with us! You got scared because of a foreigner?! You yourself can kill that shits! We should, before they infest the proper culture!"
"Oi, oi, Sekido. Isn't that a bit too harsh? To kill them inmediately would be a waste. We could at least check out if it's actually different from a, ya know, normal human. From Japan. Don't ya agree, Urogi? Aizetsu?" "A human it's a human, they are weak and die, it's sad no matter what. I don't see why put so much effort." "Well, I DO want to know how is life outside Japan!" They are all basically talking over you, and you try to push the bird figure off you, but it's a lot heavier than you expected it. Aren't birds supposed to be light to fly? "Hey human! Can you breath underwater? Can you eat fish? Oh! Oh! Can you read and write?" "You yourself don't know how to read and write Urogi." You feel crowded, but at least none of these seem to be that aggressive, except the red-eyed one, but that one seems busy with the green-eyed one.
"I would like to sit down....." At least the bird onw gets off you, even if he keeps assaulting you with questions. You answer as much as you can when you hear a shout from the other side. "Fine! But it's your responsibility, and you will get rit of them when you are done, AND deal with the main body! Understand Karaku?" There is a nod as the green-eyes one takes the small figure near the group you are with. "Good news! Ya get to live until we get bored! I reccomend you to be interest, beside, Hantengu needs to you you are just a human." He shows the sobbing creature in his hands. "Oh! Do we get to name them?" "Humans come with names most of the time, Urogi. So no."
So, two want to know about you, one wants to get rid of you, one doesn't care and the first figure is scared of your. Just what the hell is hoing on? "Y/N. My name is Y/N." The bird one deflates, but the geem-eyed one grins. "A pleasure to meet ya! Name is Karaku, and I bet we will have a lot of fun together!" You don't like how he said "fun", but you don't get much of a choice. So you play along, and wait for a chance to just run away. And you get it an hour or two the sun comes out, as the crowd starts to form. You must just have to wait for the right moment. Just wait.
Nakime:
So far, you don't regret coming to Japan, you have seen things you liked, things you disliked, and managed to try new things. It was an experience alright, not one to do so many often, considering what a nuisance it was to arrive to Japan in the first place, and you still would not abandon the comforts of home for nothing. After all, such a travel would not be possible for anyone with low resources, and you are more than happy to be able to make a travel or two for luxury every once in a while, but soon it will have to end. Not that you can't make the best of it while you are at it, that is why you are moving with some strangers as they guide you through the city, just now they showed you a very nice restaurant, where you ate and ate and made your money worth. You were about to part ways when suddenly a note of a weird instrument sounds and... you are in free fall.
Nakime doesn't deal with people. She is too important for him to remain unhidden, or at least that is what she tells herself. The only humans that step into her castle are the ones she, and any other guest (namely Muzan), will be dining for the evening. Your odds were not good when uou found yourself in a place with no ceiling, floor and wall at the same time it has millions of them, changing passages and corridors, portal doors and everything that can make a house a fantasy puzzle. And she is weirded out as you fall into a room nearby her, as the group you were with are spreaded across the castle, as she hears some weird words she has never heard before, clearly not japanese.
She looks at you with curiosity as you finish to swear due the pain of the impact, but with how long you have been falling, you guess it's a miracle you are still alive. And... what is this place? What... you can't begin to describe everything and everywhere... moving. Floating. Existing. You can't even see from where you fell, and you swore you heard the other scream as well, when a female voice makes you turn around. "Is there something you want to say outloud?" Pale skin, black hair covering her eyes, black dress, or kimono, or whatever it's called. That is all you can tell from the distance, besides the fact she has a... a guitar, you think? "Where are we?" You feel the need to ask her.
She doesn't recognize your accent. "You are not from Japan, are you?" Now, should that knowledge even change things? Should she reserve you for him? Should she just kill you and eat you? She definetely can't send you back, not that she would. But this is a new experience that might need s new resolve, and she isn't sure how she feels about it. Better to bother him more than actually needed than to do something wrong. "My name is Nakime, and you shall stay here until I can reach my master." She says as she plays her Biwa and you are... in a room, no doors, no windows, only a room, until your fate is sealed. You should have stayed at home.
Akaza:
Akaza will not admit it but... he actually forgot for the longest time there was a literal world outside Japan. Truth be told, Japan is already big enough as it is, and with his speed he has already traveled throght most of it, if not all of it with the smaller islands around being the exception. After seeing so much... repeatedly, in search for a god dammed flower, he just... forgot there is more. His life, as far as he remembers, was confided in his duty and how far his abilities would let him go, sothe second he realizes there is actually people from... outside, he gets curious. Not particulary fond, but curious.
Finding you was a coincidence, thought. And one that was not that probable to happen. He was looking for the blue spider lily, and you were just having a walk nearby the inn. And what you see is a man with weird eyes, weird hair and weird tattoos. It does startle you at first, but is human enough, even if the lack of clothes and the light coming from the eyes, says otherwise. Maybe is some coatume due a tradition, it wouldn't be the weirdest one you have seen so far in Japan. "Hello. Are you also traveling?" Akaza can tell by your smell alone, even without getting close. You are not from here, you came from the sea, it's smell still lingers on you, alongside with a scent of... unknown. Not only that, but you are so out of place you don't realize the danger you are in.
At first he is tempted to threaten you, to tell you to fuck off, basically. Akaza is not really hubgry right now and he would rather not spoil his night by having to deal with a weak human. But... when was the last time he was able to hold a converdation with a human? He remembers a hashira, years ago, one he killed after being rejected, while they were fighting. Come to think about it, the only humans he actually talks to are Hashira, so... why not make a little change just for once. It's not like he will ever see ypu again, specially after you leave Japan. "More or less, I'm Akaza. What is your name?" You at first have trouble understanding, since you use the polite tones, the ones you were taught to use, while this guy, Akaza uses a less formal one.
"Y/N." Is all you can say as you see him smile, it would be charming if it wasn't in a "I know something you don't" way. "A pleasure. I never heard that name before? Where is it from? What does it mean?" Akaza decides to just be curious, he can't get in trouble for making a few questions and not eating you. And a part of him is... happy, very relaxed, to be able to sit down and talk without any threats or status in between. There is something... nostalgic about it, but he can't put his finger on why. "I hope you don't mind if I stay with you for the night. I would like to hear about yourself." Specially since... he seems to know how to keep a conversation alive? Odd. Just odd. Meanwhile, you decide talking with a handsome stranger is not the worst thing this trip could give you. "Of course. What do you want to hear about?"
Douma:
Douma rarely ever gets to even hear about foreigners, being in a secluded cult tends to leave him a bit out of touch from society, with the exception of the few times he goes to have a walk, burn some steam, outside at night. But even then, he isn't there for light conversation, which leads to the fact that he is definetely excited to meet you, if his accelerated heartbeat is meant to say anything. You found his cult by mere coinsidence and, while you don't believe in a man being able to hear the gods (you don't even believe there are "gods", but you are not here to tell other why their religion is wrong) but you were curious about this talk of "silver hair and rainbow eyes", specially since there was a chance you didn't understand correctly because of the language.
But he does have rainbow eyes and silver hair, almost like a mytical creature. Very attractive, but still very human in his appereance, even if there is something odd. Then again, to you, every Japanese has been odd, almost completely different to how people work back home. "Why don't you spend the night here? I would love to talk with you a little more. I find myself intrigued with what else is unique about you." He offers, making you conflicted, something about him makes want to both come closer and run away. You end up going back, you already booked an inn, and you don't want the money you spend on the room and food to go to waste.
The walk is long, even by carriage or horse, it's doesn't help when suddenly the wheel broke. You were waiting for reparations when suddenly you saw something shine in the dark. When you got clored, you were suddenly pinned on the wall with your mouth covered by a cold hand, as if it just touched snow. Just like the hand of... that man, that is looking at you. There is no way he is actually anything but a human, right? But how did he get here? Alone? At night? Those were 3 hours in carriage. "Y/N? Right? I am afraid I couldn't control myself, I was just so curious. I have never had the chance to taste a human from overseas! I needed to try you out!" He says cheerfully. What does this freak mean? You don't understand at all! What does he want with you?
"Oh, don't do that. You will not be able to scape my grip, no matter how much you wiggle. Specially since I would like to talk with you, so it would make me very sad if you forced me to kill you so soon. I would even cry!" You stop in your tracks, kill you? Then you realize the guys is not even putting an effort at all, just smiling at you expectantly. Then, suddenly your mouth is free, but you are too afraid to shout for help. What is this? A demon? Like, a demon from hell? "Don't be afraid, you will see that you end up winning on the end, you will be able to exist forever within me." Just what did you get yourself into?
Kokushibou:
He is aware, of course, that there are... people, outside Japan. He remembers his father buying every once over half-a-decade an item from foreigner merchants. "Exotic tokens", he called them. Michikatsu knew better, his father didn't like those pieces of... trash any more than he did, it was just a display of wealth for when visitors came. Still, it was never of his liking, and now that he is meeting you... it's not that he is conflicted, it's that he knows that what he is thinking shouldn't be said put loud. You are... different, to say it kindly, non-traditional, and he is not fond of that.
You can't hold yourself to the same standards he always held himself, or tried to, the ones of a proper man of the samurai gentry, since your education is completely different, if you even have that. The lack of knowledge in your culture doesn't let him tell just with your clothes or manners. He doesn't know what irritates him the most, his loss when trying to read you or how different you are. It's odd, out of his comfort zone. Kokushibou hates being out of his comfort zone. It doesn't help that you are outside your comfort zone too, having troubles with the culture and language.
You just found each other a moment you walked out the inn for fresh air. The first thing you did was scream, he flinched. The second thing you did was run, he stared, inmovilized in the spot you just saw him, wondering if you are worth killing or not. Then he figures out... you might not be versed enough in Japanese for you to say anything, and people might just tell you you saw a ghost (not that he can say if they are real or not), so... it's not worth the effort. Then an intrusive thought flies through his brain.
"What if he ate you?" A part he always denies prompts in, that part that is less a samurai and more an animal than anything else, always hungry, angry, envious and greedy. And it does have a point this time, he might never get a chance to taste something different, to pretend he has some choice in what he eats, if he doesn't do it now. Is tempting, as you run away. A jump with few steps would be enough to catch up with you, or not even that, a swing of his swords with a breath would be enough to kill you as you run, slicing your body as you move. Kokushibou stays still for some seconds, heart beating fast as he contemplates, grip tight on his sword, takes a deep breath... and turns around to never see you again as long as he can do something about it. For the better for both of you.
Bonus:
Douma's hunger is being now placated by your flesh, wet sounds of the blood and tissues splashing as he rips the pieces, instead of just biting them off your dead body. He doesn't remember the taste of sticky rice in a human tongue, but if he had to describe the new taste in comparison with "not sticky rice". He can't seem to explain, the amounts of greese, iron and other tastes are just different. But he likes it. It's new, and that makes it exciting, addictive even. Part of him regrets killing you so soon, an unrealistic part of him wishes this taste could have been prolonged somehow, but not finishing to eat you now would only be a waste.
The sound of the fangs penetrating your skin, and he wonders, do all foreigners taste like this, or just you. He really, really, really wants to find out. What would it take to have him to agree to invade some neighbor country, he wonders. His heart gets giddy at the thought. More food om the way! He definetely has to try to ask. With that in mind, he finishes to eat, and the next time there is a meeting between the Kizuki, he will ask permission to start a movement to have more foreign meat. He drools at the idea, it's impossible he will be said not to.
[Spoiler: Muzan did say no. Douma is disappointed.]

BTS Wedding Series: Food/Cake Tasting
SEOKJIN
Tumblr media
If there was one thing Seokjin was adamant about in the whole wedding planning, it was the food. He had cooked for the boys for the past 10+ years, he had been on enough variety shows with food, he did enough of his own mukbang videos to affirmatively say that he was a foodie. And when it came to the cake, the two of you had worked out a design and the flavours you wanted.
However, the whole food situation was firmly in his hands.
There had been emails back and forth to the hotel on Jeju island with menus, a private phone call with the chef and a presentation by Zoom by said chef over the various Korean meals that the kitchen could provide.
“Would it be possible to have a variation? Such as buffet stations and grazing tables laid out for everyone to pick from, to include different cultures but to include Korea as the main food as well,” Seokjin asked after going through your pinterest board where you had kept some of your ideas.
The chef in question glanced up, surprised as he was used to dealing with couples who went strictly with traditional Korean wedding food and never varied outside of that. His team were muttering in the background and there was various clicking, as they went through their own Google images to figure out what Seokjin was asking of him.
“We’re looking at a varied buffet rather than your strict sit down meal. I love American and Indian dishes, Seokjin loves Korean food and burgers. My parents prefer sushi yet they love Thai food. We have such a variation coming that we want to cover all aspects,” you summarised. And then the chef got it.
“Ah, I see! Right okay, so let’s do foods from around the world then. We'll have different food stations like you say - Japan, Korea, America, Italy, Thailand, India, Spain, etc. And then have a grazing table for fruits, bread, your desserts and then of course your wedding cake,” the chef said as he drew a plan on the board behind him. If he hadn’t been a cook in this life, you would have assumed he was an artist in another.
“The cake we’re going to sort when we’re next on Jeju but for desserts, could we look at brownies, cookies, blondies, cupcakes, etc. We’re well aware of people’s different choices,” Seokjin added as he wrote down his own list of his own requests.
“Mr. Kim, this is going to cost quite a bit. I know you’re an idol but this is going to cost.”
Seokjin gave a wave of his hand in an almost imperial way, causing you to hide a smile behind your hand. Another thing you had to give over to him was the budget.
“Don’t worry about that - when it comes to my food, I’m ready to spend the money. Do you know BTS?”
Of course the chef did as did the whole team by the way they were nodding.
“Then you know I’m a foodie and I love my food. And this one here loves her desserts so it’s a compromise and I won’t compromise on food,” Seokjin added by pinching your side, wincing at the slap on the arm in return.
“As long as you're sure. Let us arrange a date for you two to come and try some samples, then you can make a weekend out of it,” the chef suggested.
“A weekend trying food? Yes please!”
Tumblr media
YOONGI
Tumblr media
There was one thing you had promised Yoongi when it came to the wedding.
Tangerines.
He didn’t know how you were going to do it but he wanted tangerines because that’s what he loved and wanted. He had already picked out a four course meal for the wedding, fully Korean, with lamb skewers thrown in because he saw them on the menu and wanted them. The cake, however, was your deal. He just wanted tangerines.
So while you were looking for inspiration on wedding cakes during the early stages, you saw plenty of tiered wedding cakes with orange slices on the sides, painted oranges on the fondant, half naked cakes with fresh fruit all around. It was all locked away for your meeting with the lady who was going to do your wedding cake for you, something you dragged Yoongi along because coffee and cake went well together.
“So, what are you two looking for?” she asked, opening up her ipad to get started on the design.
“We’re both kind of plain people. The wedding decor is going to be simple with glass and flowers and candles. White roses, white peonies with plenty of greenery. Our invitations had a hint of blue on them. But Yoongi loves tangerines so I want to do tangerine name cards and if we could have tangerines on the cake as well, or in the flavour, then that would be perfect,” you explained.
Yoongi perked up at the mention of his favourite fruit. He didn’t know about the name card suggestion as he had briefly glanced at your ideas and the idea that you wanted to incorporate something he loved, made him realise that every single decision had him in mind.
“Wait till you see the favours I’ve ordered,” you muttered as you patted his leg, grinning slightly.
“Is that why I’ve been locked out of the spare room?” he muttered back, one eye on the lady designing the cake and one eye on you.
“Of course. It’s hell in there right now.”
“So,” the lady interrupted unapologetically to show you her design. “I’m thinking vanilla buttercream because that works well, then we can add fresh tangerines or kumquats which are slightly smaller or I can make the tangerines and flavour them. For the cake layers, since you like simple, depending on the tiers and how many you need, we could go with vanilla cake with lemon to bring in the citrus, then another tier of vanilla with pink champagne and another vanilla with maybe chocolate.”
“These sound all amazing. Are we able to have any tasters?”
“I’ll be back in just a moment,” the lady said as she laid her ipad on the table with the design still in place.
“How many tiers do we need?” Yoongi asked, seeing the design was for three tiers.
“Well, we’re looking at 250 for the reception and the Korean ceremony,” you said once you brought up your guest list file on the phone.
Yoongi sighed. As much as he hated being put on display like that, he knew it was to keep both sets of parents happy and to have everyone who meant the world there as well. At least the legal ceremony a few days before was just yourselves, the boys, your parents and no one else.
“How many tiers can we do for 250 people?” Yoongi then asked the lady who came out with two trays of vanilla cake with different variations of filling.
“You’ll be looking at 6 tiers then.”
Yoongi sighed again but happily picked up the fork he was given as well as a tray of cake. “Well, we best get tasting then.”
In the end, you picked vanilla with lemon, red velvet with cream cheese, vanilla with pink champagne and then a cookies and cream tier because at this point, why the hell not.

HOSEOK
Tumblr media
The hotel itself had many restaurants to choose from and when it came to the wedding, especially with the amount of guests who were coming and how much you were setting aside just for the food, the hotel had sent you all the menus available.
You wanted Korean but mixed with a bit of international food as well as the wine and other alcohol to compliment it. Everything had to be big and bright like your wedding theme and to match your cake as well which had been designed to be dripped in bright rainbow colours with gold lustre and fresh bright flowers.
“So Festa is our contemporary European dining, the Granum is all day dining and is international and the Club Member’s Restaurant is Korean so you’ve got a good mix here,” the wedding organiser said as she showed you to the private dining area where you were going to have your wedding tasting from the samples you had picked from the menus provided.
For starters, you had picked smoked salmon with caesar salad, kimchi soup with bean sprouts and shrimp croquette and dill cream.
Scoffing all that with your wine and grinning as Hobi made notes, you then went onto your main dishes. These had been Hobi’s picks and you could tell when the dishes had arrived, large servings of meat. Prime steak was one dish, grilled lobster was another and then lamb rack with vegetables.
If that wasn’t enough, a small pizza and bolognese pasta also arrived.
“What?” Hobi asked around a slice of pizza.
“You think we’re feeding the country?” you asked, cutting into the prime steak that was cooked perfectly.
“I had to stop myself at the sides because there were too many,” Hobi admitted as he stole the piece of steak you had cut up.
“Of course,” you muttered as you stole the rest of his pizza.
Dessert had been a combined effort as your wedding cake was only two tiers and would feed just under 200 people. Blueberry cheesecake, chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream and then orange pound cake with ice cream. And not only that, the tables would get a platter of seasonal fruit.
“This is going to be hard,” you pouted as you spooned up some of the chocolate tart. “We might have to come back and try them again.”
Hobi chuckled as he bypassed the chocolate tart and went for the cheesecake. “I completely agree. Let’s bring Seokjin and Taehyung with us next time. They're the fussiest.”
Tumblr media
NAMJOON
Tumblr media
Picking the food had been an easy thing for the two of you as you both didn’t like fish and had settled on going Korean with a little mix of international foods for the guests who you just had to invite. Luckily enough, the maximum numbers for your outdoor wedding were 150 and you had managed to drop that to 130 for all your friends and family then the famous people who Namjoon knew he had to invite.
It was a bit odd addressing the invitations to such famous people and it was even more odd when they actually accepted. With the food organised with the hotel, it was time to turn to the cake.
You two had spent the better part of a day looking up wedding cakes with your appointment with the cake maker fast approaching and settled on a design you both liked - handpainted flowers alongside the tiers of the cake, all with meaning and thoughts behind them. Specifically picked for the two of you to incorporate your wedding flowers, birth flowers, etc.
Namjoon happily tucked into the slice of cake the lady handed over, white chocolate passionfruit while she handed you coffee and walnuts. If there was something you both were adamant on, it was the cake flavours would be unique.
You needed a four tier cake and while she designed the flowers on her ipad, you two tucked into the next set of flavours.
“I want to take that cake home,” Namjoon pointed towards the plate that was now empty of his passionfruit slice.
“I’m loving this raspberry and white chocolate,” you added as you cut a bit off with your fork and handed it over to your future groom.
“This is going to be so hard,” he muttered around the mouthful of cake and turned the plate that held his lemon slice. “But I think I’ve made my choices.”
“Oh? Already?” you asked, licking off some of the raspberry buttercream.
“I want that passionfruit, as well as your raspberry one and I think we just need plain vanilla for the boring people. And I think we need a chocolate layer, maybe with caramel and I want a lemon layer as well,” Namjoon picked off, still happily munching on the lemon cake.
You thought for a moment, thinking of all the people who were coming and if any of them were allergic to anything in those flavours and nothing was springing out at you. And when the lady showed you the design of greenery, daisies, white roses, peonies and little forget me nots - everything just fell into place.
“All those flavours and that cake design please.”
Tumblr media
JIMIN
Tumblr media
You didn’t know where the number of guests had come from but you somehow reached the 150 mark which was just a little squeeze for your venue but they had managed to confirm those numbers for the ceremony then the reception afterwards. You had picked and confirmed a cake well beforehand, settling on a five tier white cake but with fresh ivory and light pink flowers cascading around the cake itself. With flavours of vanilla, strawberry, lemon and raspberry, it had been sorted before you had even figured out your actual food menu.
Jimin was firm when you two had spoken to your wedding organiser that he wanted a taste of Busan in his menus with Busan eomuk (fish cakes) and Milmyeon so he had something of home in the menu which was completely western. Of course, the hotel were happy to agree so they organised a menu specifically for your food tasting.
First, it was the appetiser course of two options. The famous Busan fishcakes with a side of salad and some other bits and then shredded hoisin duck tortilla stack with cucumber and spring onion.
“How is that western?” Jimin muttered to you but happily tucked into the food either way.
For the main course, there was the option of Milmyeon, roasted sirloin with green beans, mushrooms, sauce and optional potatoes or fries. As well as a chicken option or sea bass option as well.
“This is hard,” you moaned as you cut into the steak and almost cried at how perfectly cooked it was.
“It’s even harder when they give you these options,” Jimin laughed as he pointed in the direction of the chicken and sea bass that was waiting to be tested.
“I shouldn’t have had breakfast,” you realised when you cut into the chicken and happily popped it into your mouth.
And then for dessert, realising your cake probably wouldn’t cover 150 people, settled on two types of dessert: a cheesecake and desserts in miniature so people got three little ones to enjoy.
“Shall we have it all?” Jimin questioned, spooning some of the cheesecake and feeding it to you. He then dug into the crumble which he hadn’t heard of before.
“We’ve got plenty of people who are going to have different options,” you shrugged but were happy to go for all the choices suggested.
“Okay, let’s do it,” he made a note on the little bit of paper the waiters had given him to confirm his choices.

TAEHYUNG
Tumblr media
Though you had realised planning a wedding in another country was going to be hard, you didn’t realise how hard it was actually going to be. The venue dressing, provided by the hotel, was in Los Angeles as well as the cake lady, the photographer and everything else. You had a makeup team flying out with you and another photographer as well as a videographer, provided by HYBE, would be making the journey with you.
Beverly Hills had been booked up the moment your invitations had gone out and surrounding hotels as well in what had been termed ‘the wedding of the century’ by the rest of BTS. Celebrities, fashion designers, music producers and god knows who else were making the trip to be there for Taehyung’s wedding.
It was becoming a bit of a circus but he was so excited and devoted to the whole thing, that in the end it didn’t matter who was coming. You just wanted to marry the man.
And at least your air travel miles were accumulating quickly with the amount of times you had to fly out to Los Angeles. This time it was to meet the cake lady as well as have your menu tasting - something you were eagerly awaiting as you had to mix it with Korean as well as western food.
Of course, having a cake for 800 people was near impossible and it had been decided early on it would be limited to three real tiers, with the other three to be fake. No one would care anyway, especially with the amount of money you were putting into the food alone. And the wedding cake design had been simple yet extravagant - white fondant with vines of leaves and small flowers indented on each layer, with gold ribbon at the bottom of each tier and then red roses sandwiched in between each tier.
They were given a menu exclusively designed by Wolfgang Puck, one of the most famous chefs out there, and a glass of champagne each. “We wouldn’t have gotten this in Korea,” Taehyung had muttered to you when you reached the VIP section of the restaurant.
“They saw the cheque book,” you muttered back with a laugh.
First was a king crab cocktail and a lamb rack with salad for entrees and then for the main course, you were given a large serving of bibimbap and Korean BBQ beef and a large serving of steak and Japanese kanpachi sashimi.
“Definitely saw the cheque book,” you said around a mouthful of food and realised the two of you hadn’t spoken in the hour you had arrived at your table and served your food.
“Well, it is delicious,” Taehyung said as he held up some of the sashimi and all but shoved it in his mouth.
When you thought you were done, they came out with the dessert menu as well as wine menu.
“I’m going to die,” you fake cried as you looked at the menu. “Oooh, they’ve got cheese platters. Should we have one for each table?”
Taehyung looked up from his wine menu and arched an eyebrow, “Now who's spending the money?”
“We’ve got a lot of celebrities to impress. So is that a yes?”

JUNGKOOK
Tumblr media
With Jungkook being Jungkook, he already had a cake designed the moment you had talked about it. He had spent an agonising night on his ipad, drawing and redrawing, looking up inspiration and even turning to ARMY’s pictures to see if they had any inspiration to fulfil their fantasies.
With nothing truly popping up, Jungkook had to simply turn to his imagination and wonder if it would work. And with the colour scheme you two had come up with, it was a little hard.
“So, this is the design I’ve been working on,” Jungkook said to the cake designer who you had set up an appointment with over a week ago.
The cake designer took the offered ipad and used his fingers to zoom in on the design, then back out. “It shouldn’t be a problem and it’s quite unique, it’s not something I’ve seen before. Let me draw my version with some ideas of cake layers and see what you two think.”
You eyed Jungkook suspiciously and wondered what he had cooked up.
“It represents all of us,” Jungkook explained as he patted your knee, taking the ipad back and shoving it into his ever present black backpack.
With you travelling all the way to Busan to have this meeting as well as to sort out your food at the hotel, you hoped to have everything boxed up and done so you were putting a bit of faith in Jungkook and his cake.
“So, I think for the bottom layer, we should do some kind of chocolate,” the cake designer explained as he turned his own ipad around to show the two of you. He had replicated what Jungkook had drawn but into something easier for a cake.
The bottom layer had a marble effect with white base with a hint of black and purple in the marble effect. The second layer was pure purple with vanilla as its flavouring and then the top tier was pure white with strawberry champagne flavouring and white orchids dotted between the layers.
“You included ARMY,” you whisper as you take the offered ipad and look at the intricate details in the marble that look like they were done on purpose.
“Maybe it would be worth getting some kind of cake topper to represent that and you two,” the cake designer explained as he got up to get the suggested cake layers.
It didn’t take Jungkook long to get his phone out and start looking.

🔴BREAKING NEWS: Putin is in North Korea! He has promised support to Kim Jong Un!! 🤔 What happened?
▪ On his first visit in 24 years, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited North Korea yesterday.
This marked a significant diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
▪ Despite arriving at 2:45 am local time, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was waiting on the tarmac for President Putin.
The early morning arrival did not deter Kim Jong Un from personally welcoming Putin.
▪ The two leaders embraced, shook hands, and completed a few formalities before heading together to the state guest house.
Their warm greeting included a hug and a handshake, signifying strong diplomatic ties.
They proceeded to the state guest house after completing necessary formalities.
🧐 Why?
▪ This visit is Russian President Putin’s attempt at solidifying the two countries’ relations.
Strengthening diplomatic ties is a key objective of the visit.
▪ With the increasing isolation of both countries globally, the visit aims to improve bilateral relations and sign new economic and military agreements.
Both nations face international sanctions and diplomatic challenges, prompting them to seek closer cooperation.
The focus includes potential economic collaborations and military partnerships.
▪ Some experts suggest that Russia could request more military supplies from North Korea in exchange for food and energy supplies.
There is speculation that military aid might be exchanged for essential resources.
Such an arrangement could benefit both countries amidst their respective challenges.
😲Interestingly:
▪ According to North Korean media, President Putin praised ‘Comrade Kim’ and vowed to fight off Western sanctions together!
▪ Moreover, the state-run newspaper there also said that both countries will be working to build a trade and payments system that ‘will not be controlled by the West’!!
▪ The US has expressed serious concerns over President Putin’s visit and support for North Korea. 🥸Analysis:
▪ The world is getting divided into two major factions: the West and the Non-West.
▪ With this visit to North Korea and the visit to China last month, President Putin is solidifying support for Russia and the non-West faction.
▪ On the other hand, the US-led West faction is constantly trying to control to other via sanctions and other threats. ❓Which side should India stand on? Can India balance being on both sides?? Follow Jobaaj Stories (the media arm of Jobaaj.com Group for more)

How do you overlook/downplay the atrocities and breach of human rights in communist countries?
Can you please name all the huge, systemic atrocities committed by capitalist, developed nations? A few potential arguments would be homelessness/healthcare not being a human right, both of which don't even compare to the brutality seen even in the 'best' communist regimes.
Not a communist.
Have you...seen...US History or US Foreign Policy?
"Yes, millions of people were bought transferred, and sold as livestock to ensure a cheap working class that benefited rich capitalists across Europe and the Americas, forming significant portions of international wealth and economic practice, both in agriculture unskilled labor, but that's not capitalism."
"Yes, the largest companies across the U.S. had internal police and security, forced employees to move to towns they controlled, and killed union leaders who tried to organize against them, leading to what is commonly referred to as 'Almost America's 2nd Civil War', but that's not connected to the underlying economic and political power dynamics of a capitalist system."
"I mean, yeah, the US killed millions of people directly in the Korean and Vietnam wars as explicitly capitalist, anti-communist actions, and sponsored/installed military juntas and dictatorships all across South and Middle America and across the Middle East and SE Asia to ensure private companies could always make a profit and an international capitalist system thrived, but that's not the same."
That's just one Capitalist, Developed Nation. And even internally we've got endless "those Native Americans have gold/food/arable land under their feet. Time for another genocide."
Then you have the DE India and DW India trading corporations, the British Empire (including Irish Occupation and the Irish Genocide and the Troubles), you've got the German Congo genocides, South Africa, the actual literal ongoing genocide in Ghaza.
And before any rebuttal of "those nations weren't developed when they did that!", neither were Russia nor China when the main thrusts of their horror stories happened. Those genocides and abuses that people fall back to describing (Holodomor, the Great Leap Forward, etc.) were their fucked up and wrong attempts to develop their countries. If we're exempting Capitalist systems their atrocities because "they weren't developed yet" then we need to do the same to communist countries/systems as well.

A Flower in your Heart
Chapter-I
Sayuri
Oh God! please take a look at your right side flower bouquet Sojin shi! "yeah! dae pyo nim(ceo in korean) I already checked" - said Sojin. I then checked that all the decorations were finished or not. "Hey! Yuri ah what are you doing girl?" -said Jae Young. "Hyung! you are here" - I said. "Are you calling me hyung again? call me oppa, you girl!" -said Jae Young. "I know I have to call you oppa but no I want to call you hyung so you are my hyung that's it" - I said. Finally my work was almost done........
Suddenly the bride came and said, "Mam my husband likes pink roses not white roses, sorry, it was my mistake, I told you to do white roses, can't you change them?"
"How can I change them now?" -I said. Shit what can I do now? As a woman I can understand how important the wedding day is for a woman. "Don't panic Min ah shi I will definitely try for you, then can you give me extra time?" -I said. "yeah sure, I know this is wrong for telling you the end of the moment but please do it Sayuri shi"
"You said you will try but how will everything change? only a few times are left for the wedding to start"" -said Jae Young. "Let's try" -I said.
Without wasting time I called all my staff to discuss what can be done now?
Idea there is still a way, "'what if white roses can be turned pink?" -I said. Which is bound to go wrong but one last chance.
"Sojin shi! arrange pink colour dye, let's see what I can do as a CEO of 'Dear Flower', today is a big day for us" -I said. Later me and my staff all started working together. At first I started my career with the chemistry stream but I had a desire to be a florist since childhood so I chose my passion. As a chemistry student, I know how to explore new things with colours, I tried. After some time we all agreed yes! it worked.
The wedding went very well. It's very tough for us all day. "Yuri ah you are great. you made it....my friend's wedding went so well because of you, thank you my sis" -Jae young said.
Yoon Jae Young and I are not siblings but brother from another mother. After coming from India, he is the only one who is very close to me like my own elder brother. He was my first customer when I launched my company 'Dear Flower' after completing an internship as a florist. Yes it was 2020 I know him.
"Okay fine fine, hyung I am very hungry now go for food" -I said
while we were eating, someone came and put his hand on Jae Young hyung 's shoulder. "Hey Deok Hwa, when did you return from Busan? you return after 4 years. why didn't you tell me earlier?" -Jae Young said. "surprise Jae Young ah! Childhood in Disney land
The peace of late-night GOT episodes , With a bit of fire & the night is full of terrors
The morning fun with Bruno Mars songs and fruits 🤍
The day with the world , the night with you
"And the life will flow according to you"
There is still smell of old Hollywood in the streets of LA
The building and the food of great India are open to visit and the love of the people
The air is waiting to lift you up. You just have to diveeeee
The pure water of earth will save you... You just move your body with love and slow... Swim, surf 🤍
Open your hands and heart coz you can't get the world if can't hold it and to hold it you have to open your arms and yourself
There is no sound like the evening with nice sunset and Stranger things episode with its intro..
The morning starts with Avengers.. noon it's the walking dead, evening it's stranger things, dinner it's 13 reasons why and night all to GOT
The perfect movie day 🤍 , And nothing is anything without your hand in my hand Peace out ,
"There is nothing like chats with friends with no phones in hand "
Chats with friends with no phones in their hands ,
Nothing to worry nothing to think just pure air, love and fun.
Just pack the backpacks go off-roads and find a "path"
Which leads to a community not a society with full of heart and open arms
"The clings of glasses from the bar the medival theme of the cafes the street after the rain will give more fun than anything can"
Just wanna feel like the peace of off-white lights .... With a great family night 🤍🌉
Walk in the village, climbing on a tree, running for that moment... Will give you more excitement than anything can? Maybe
Live where time doesn't exist only moments and only moments 🤍
"Those late nights with you and the Conjuring horror gonna give more relief than those multi-million dollar"
"But you know there is nothing like the braveness of Ragnar no one caring like Steve no one cute like jon no one bright like Tyrion, nothing more peaceful than this poetry... Everything nothing but "YOU" "

Oh my God you’re Indian! In Indian(ish)! (It’s complicated.) I only know like one other Indian person so I always get so excited when I hear about/meet more. If you don’t mind me asking, what part of India are you/your family from?
Indian(ish) works for me too, actually. :)
I am half Indian (second generation) and half white. My Indian side is Bengali (in the way that cultural identities are very soupy and the borders in that region move constantly, rendering national identity... complicated, yeah) by way of Kolkata. My white side is from the Southern US. It's a fun mix.
More thoughts below the cut, both on being mixed race and also on Indian/Asian Woman rep.
Oh and I know Sevika chose that final haircut but it's still a hate crime (lesbian + Indian + woman + L + ratio). We support women's wrongs but god this one's hard for me.
I have a lot of thoughts on being mixed race, but none that are applicable to the fic I'm currently writing lmao, so I don't talk about it much here. For a lot of reasons (the short version is my parents are much more progressive than my Indian grandparents), I didn't learn a lot about my Indian culture from my family, and it's something I'm going back to work on as an adult. Like, I cook a toooon of Asian food, primarily Japanese and Korean, and I wouldn't cook Indian food for years because I didn't want to do it wrong and no one ever taught me how.
But despite my identity definitely being Indian(ish), not Indian, that's not what (white) people tend to perceive lol. I get all the fun parts of being a visible minority AND a deep impostor syndrome about my own identity.
When I was in UG, I was having lunch with a bunch of full Indian girlies (international students, so also Indian nationality), and I said "oh by the way guys I'm mixed race I'm not actually full Indian", and this bitch said "WE KNOW".
Which like yeah. And tbh it was funny, and I laughed about it then (also I was the only American and by god it is obvious when you are American in Canada). But it did sure reinforce my Issues.
Anyway Symmetra overwatch is a queen slay girl slay however she is also the most stereotypical character you could possibly create for your Indian Representation. Except maybe Karma in League lmao, who is, though in a different way, also the most stereotypical character you could-
One Indian(ish) character I really really love is Zoe Castillo from Dreamfall/The Longest Journey (super deep cut, but I am obsessed with this series). Zoe is the first protagonist I ever saw that looked a lot like me. Which is to say not only Indian(ish) woman but also modern. That series also has another Indian character who I love deeply because she is a horrible ableist asshole (with redeeming qualities in my opinion) and I love that she gets to be that.
Sevika I love because she really counters the stereotype of, like, what is essentially Machiavellianism as power, that I find prevalent in Winning Asian Woman rep. If Mel were the Indian one solving problems with politics and smart I would bash my brains in. Like, yes, it is cool to use your brains to solve the problem. I love smart characters. But if your writer brain can only comprehend Asian Women Winning because they smarted around the problem, that's still racist. Sevika punches the problem. She also has a good head on her shoulders, but that is purely incidental and a bonus as she punches the problem.
There are some other examples of buff Asian women, I don't want to seem like I think Sevika is groundbreaking, she's just rare and I'm giving Kudos. Amara Borderlands 3 might be good rep but I have to be honest, I could not get through more than like 15 hrs of BL3 because the rest of it is dog ass. I will eventually return to it (maybe).
