My Hero Origins

So, we all know Kol Becker from MHO, right? If not check out ItsritchieW My Hero Origins for just him. 

anyway, Kol is one of those morally gray area. He obviously has issues that haven’t been resolved. His mother died in an explosion or bombing and the heroes weren’t able to get there on time then his dead beat father etc. etc.

He is showing his stance and morals and small improvements before Ana left. 

I am so excited to see how his character changes as well as those around him like flex and the constellation twins. He is an unreliable narrator since we don’t know his stance on certain things and stuff and I am just very excited to see how this will go.

"I--" He takes another drink, trying to wipe the look of shock off his face. "I just think the two families could get along better." They could, but the argument had its flaws. Namely, Kol's eyes that were not blind. "So you do," was the only admission he makes. The Mikaelsons could be dramatic and harsh, and Addington had deserved death. It was still a rather haunting one. "I did, but I thought you were going to say you ripped his heart out or something."

Kol couldn’t wipe the amused look off his face. It was like he was talking to a teenage girl with a crush. “They tried to kill us all, so I’d save your breath on that one. Perhaps save it for your beau later where it certainly won’t be wasted.” Kol smirks, having a tad too much fun taunting him. Even if he could do better than a bloody Rolland.

“That would’ve been too merciful for a man that kept a cult alive and targeted my family yet again. I made sure he got exactly what he deserved for that.”

A Comprehensive List

This year marks a decade of me writing fanfiction. Therefore, I thought it would be a fun exercise if I made comprehensive list of every fictional character I’ve ever written fanfics about. 

Some of the following are pretty common ones that all of you have seen on my blog. Some of them are a bit more obscure, but you could find them on other sites I’m on if you really wanted to. Some have never been published at all. Some of these stories were romances for characters I love; some of them are darker fics about characters I hate (Don’t think being featured on this list means I stan a character). Some of these I actively write for; some I write for when I’m in the mood; some are just things from my past.

I’ve written for so many characters, and comparatively few of them have been featured on this blog. I thought it would be fun, and it would give all of you the chance to get to know me a bit better. Feel free to message me any time about any of these characters any time. Love or hate (mostly love), these are all characters I feel very strongly about. And I get to talk about very few of them in the grand scheme of things, so it would be nice if I got to chit chat about some of the more obscure ones.

Amiyotrofik Lateral Skleroz (ALS) Nedir?

Stephen Hawking 21 yaşındayken tedavisi bulunmayan ALS hastalığına yakalandı. Doktorlar sadece 2 sene yaşayabileceğini söylemesine rağmen o 70 yaşına kadar yaşamıştır. Bu hastalık Hawking’i genç yaşta tekerlekli sandalyeye mahkûm bıraktı. Zamanla ilerleyen hastalığı bilim adamının konuşmasına da engel oldu. Sesini kullanamayan Hawking kendisi için özel tasarlanmış tekerlekli sandalyesinin yazıları sese dönüştürebilmesi özelliğini kullanarak iletişim kurmuştur. Gelin şimdi ALS hastalığının ne olduğuna bakalım.

Amiyotrofik Lateral Skleroz (ALS) Nedir?

Amiyotrofik lateral skleroz (ALS), gönüllü kas hareketini kontrol etmekten sorumlu sinir hücrelerini (nöronları) içeren nadir bir nörolojik hastalık grubudur. Gönüllü kaslar çiğnemek, yürümek ve konuşmak gibi hareketler üretir. Hastalık ilericidir, yani semptomlar zamanla kötüleşir. Halen, ALS için bir tedavi yoktur ve hastalığın ilerlemesini durdurmak veya tersine çevirmek için etkili bir tedavi yoktur.

ALS, yavaş yavaş bozulma (dejenerasyon) ve motor nöronların ölümünden kaynaklanan motor nöron hastalıkları olarak bilinen daha geniş bir hastalık grubuna aittir. Motor nöronlar beyinden omuriliğe ve vücuttaki kaslara kadar uzanan sinir hücreleridir. Bu motor nöronlar beyin ve gönüllü kaslar arasında hayati iletişim bağlantılarını başlatır ve sağlar. ALS’den Nasıl Tanı Konur?

ALS nöroloji denen sinir hastalıkları uzmanlığını ilgilendiren bir hastalıktır. Hastalık pek çok kas ve sinir hastalığı ile karışabildiği için teşhis uzun zaman alabilir. Teşhiste manyetik rezonans görüntüleme ve elektromiyogram denen yöntemlerden, kastan parça alınarak değerlendirilmesinden ve kanın incelenmesinden yararlanılabilir. Elektromiyogram kasın etkinliğinin normal olup olmadığını gösteren bir testtir.

ALS Tedavi Yöntemleri Nelerdir?

Halen kesin bilinen bir tedavisi yoktur, hastalığın belirtilerine yönelik olarak tedavi ediliyor. İstenmeyen etkilerin önlenmesi, hastanın rahatlatılması ve mümkün olduğu kadar normal yaşamını sürdürmesi amaçlanıyor.

Doğrudan bu hastalığa yönelik bir ilaç bulmak için araştırmalar sürüyor. Hastalığın ilerlemesini etkileyen ilk ilaç olan riluzol 1995 yılında Amerika’da ruhsat aldı. Bu etken maddenin motor sinir harabiyetine neden olduğu düşünülen uyarıcı bir nörotransmiter olan glutamatı engellediği sanılıyor. İlacın hastalığın ilerlemesini yavaşlattığı, hastanın ömrünü uzattığı, hastanın daha uzun süre iş görmesini sağladığı düşünülüyor.

The look on Kol's face was making him regret this whole thing, rolling his eyes at the taunt. "I was just saying that Will handed you the method to track Addington down and kill him, so he saved your family. This has nothing to do with anything that may or may not be going on between Will and me." He had to admit Kol had a point. Addington had done some damage, but this was something to get used to knowing. "I see your point."

"And I’m just saying you should save your breath for more thrilling activities,” he retorts still taunting, “It has everything to do with that. I guarantee you William gives about as much of a damn about my ‘opinion’ as I do his. Yet here you still push. Curious.”

"They're a good family," he argues, even if he knew Kol saw it differently. "And here I hoped I impressed you," he teases, taking another drink. The small smirk he wore from the joke fell away with the confirmation as he murmurs, "fuck." He wishes he hadn't asked.

"There’s that bias again,” he comments, “William’s not here, darling, you don’t have to push so hard to impress him or whatever it is you’re hoping to accomplish with this pointless argument.” Looking to him, he adds, “don’t look so surprised. I have eyes.” 

Taking another drink, he notices the shift in expressing. Kol just shrugs. “You asked.”

"Well, I'm impressed," he muttered with amusement, getting the expected result. He knew there was bad blood, but that was pretty incredible. "How did he die, by the way?"

“That’s because you’re a baby to our world. Easily impressed by the smallest bit of magic,” he quips before Becker inquires about the cause of death. Then he was smirking. “He was a bit cold. So I threw him in the fireplace.”

As Becker takes a sip of his drink and sits down across from Kol, he takes in it all, muttering, "holy shit." He'd seen the magic with his own eyes, so he shouldn't be surprised by the damage it did. Will had mentioned taking things apart, and though maybe he'd meant to take the man apart, he had taken the magic apart. "Dare I say you seem a little impressed?" Becker prompts, seeing if a compliment for Will might come forth. "Even if you didn't get your fight."

Allowing him to process that for himself, Kol tilts back the remainder of his bourbon before reaching for the bottle to refill his glass. When he prompts for some kind of praise of Quinn’s spawn though, he snorts. “I’ve been around for many centuries, I’m not so easily impressed. I’ve seen more impressive work,” he answers. “Better luck next time.”

"Trembling?" He repeats as he pours some bourbon in his glass, listening to the rather giddy way Kol recounts the rest. Whatever Will had done, it had revealed Addington. "Because of Will," he answers, "he broke his connection to the astral plane-realm-whatever it is, and he couldn't do it anymore?"

“Quite terribly. Seems he’d lost control of his hands entirely,” he confirms taking another drink from his glass. As Becker makes his guess and hits it on the nose, he grins. “Always knew you were a smart lad,” he comments before continuing, “Will had not only broken that connection, he’d fried it completely. I doubt he’d have even been able to do so much as float a feather after all that. There wasn’t much of a man left to fight when I’d gotten there. What a bloody shame.”

"I was bringing it to you," he replies, "see, you didn't even need to go get it yourself." But he had him on bragging, just as he suspected he would. Grabbing a glass for himself, he chuckles as Kol 'forgets' the name, but he doesn't plan on saying it either. "Creepy dude, far too much weight on his own self-importance," he adds, spending enough time in this house to have enough rapport to get him this far. "I want to know the state of him when you found him."

“How thoughtful,” he retorts lifting the glass to his lips and drinking. At least this one had good sense to forget the name as well. Becker gets to the point then as Kol leans back in his chair with a smirk. “Oh he was in quite a state,” he muses, “furious, weak, trembling. Poor lad couldn’t keep his hands steady, they were tremoring rather violently.” That was only the surface though. “When Rebekah filled me in on everything, I thought to have Deniz run me another locator on him. We’d been trying to pin a location for weeks but never quite could because he’d mastered the art of astral projection. There were always upwards of 50 possible locations and he was never at any of them. I’d checked. That time there was only one. Care to take a stab at why?”

"Can't it be both?" Becker quipped, "it's still sharing even if I want a small piece of your wealth of life experience in return." He figured it wouldn't be hard to figure out what he wanted to know, but they could still enjoy the company and bourbon. "Would you really pass on an opportunity to brag? It's win-win."

“Not when it comes from my own collection,” he shoots back before Becker confirms it was a bribe just as Kol knew it was. However, he takes the bourbon and pours himself a glass. “Well I do love to brag,” Kol comments with a smirk. “You’re here about... Now what was his bloody name again? It’s on the tip of my tongue. Ah well. What did you want to know?”

Holding up a bottle of bourbon as he tracks Kol down in the Mikaelson home, Becker leaned against the doorframe. "It's yours, but at least I'm asking to share it with you this time?" { for the special guest star to test the theory Kol might tell Becker lol }

These bloody kids, always dipping into his stash. It wasn’t like there wasn’t plenty of other alcohol around the house. As Becker steps into his ‘office’ with a bottle of his bourbon, Kol had some idea what it was all about. “Sharing or bribing? I’ve been in the game for over a thousand years, I know all the tricks, young Fell.”

"Your bias against his family is showing," he retorts. "I may be easily impressed, but you're too hard to impress." He downed his glass and filled it back generously at Kol's next response. "You threw him in the fireplace," he repeats before adding, "alive?"

"And your bias for that family is showing,” he shoots back, “When you’ve lived to see as much as I have, nothing tends to impress you anymore.” Certainly not from the Rolland side of things. The smirk widened though as he confirms that with, “and screaming.”
