yeah, sorry for the late reply !

So, first of all, check on your necessities as soon as any panic starts. Are you thirsty, hungry, need to use the bathroom, tired? Fulfilling your needs will help a lot

I had 4 stages of recovery.

First stage: actually believing that I had x condition; I wondered if it was just anxiety but the fear was winning.

-> I would google not the symptoms I were "feeling", but the actual condition I thought I had. Notice how most conditions, when acquired, will take some time, like 3 days before onset. I'd think to myself, there's no need to stress right now; if I do feel these symptoms in 3 days I'll worry only then. (And then the symptoms never occurred lol)

-> Identifying triggers: literally anything can be an anxiety trigger, even things you'd never think of. I got anxious at a specific time of the day: 4 pm to 6 pm. Foods with white flour can trigger anxiety too. Chocolate also triggered it for me. It's up to you whether to avoid or deal with stuff (I for example, chose not to avoid chocolate since I already rarely ate it.) If you choose to avoid, keep in mind it's only temporary and you'll be able to expose yourself to these triggers someday

-> THE FAKE SYMPTOMS YOU'RE FEELING ARE EITHER THE ANXIETY OR NORMAL BODILY STUFF THAT YOUR HYPERAWARENESS IS PATHOLOGIZING.

Example: heart racing? Anxiety. Shivering? Anxiety.

I once got super worried because some parts of my face were warmer and others were cooler. But this is literally NORMAL.

I also worried because I felt the moisture inside my mouth and throat. It's NORMAL AND NECESSARY FOR SURVIVAL

-> If you're able to, go to a low-stimulating place. When I was in school I'd go to the bathroom and play music. It was just a 3 minutes break but I needed that. At home, I'd also lock myself in the bathroom but I'd watch latino shitpost compilations :)

-> I think one of the best forms of distraction is comedy. Have some youtube channels and tumblr pages etc bookmarked.

-> Remember, how many times did you really have the condition your hypochondria was telling you? Zero. ZERO!!!! IT WILL ALWAYS BE ZERO!!! THAT BITCH IS A LIAR!!! XD

-> You can ask friends to help ground you and remind you that the anxiety is wrong

-> sometimes anxiety is developed out of nowhere, but if you can find a "why" you developed it, that's good

Second stage: Knowing it's just anxiety, but the fear of having x condition/dying was still in my mind.

-> thats because your subconscious doesn't believe that your anxiety is caused by a concrete perceived thing; it still assumes its caused by a nebulous grand illness or something. Keep talking to it and asserting its not an illness but actually just X trigger. It'll take time but YOU'LL SUCCEED

-> There's not much to do. Just distract yourself and keep fighting the anxiety saying it's wrong.

Alternatively, if you're confident enough and grounded, you can be the bigger bitch. "Yeah so what if I got x?" "I don't fuckin care" "wow I'm so scared /s"

-> Activities that require active focus like doing the dishes are good distractions as well

-> Panic attacks = anxiety of anxiety. You can't force them, so if you confront something potentially triggering heads on and are aware of your anxiety coming up you'll be able to prevent feeling Real Bad.

Example: you're going to read an article about an illness and know it's gonna trigger you. So you click on it, you're not afraid of feeling anxiety, you're just aware of what you're gonna feel. You start noticing your breathing becoming shallower and think "the anxiety has begun". After reading it you go relax a little with the yt channel you bookmarked, for example. You're aware that your anxiety could use that new knowledge against you (aka it can be a new trigger) but you don't care because YOU'RE the one in control, YOU'RE the bigger bitch and won't let it dictate what you should do or not.

-> KEEP THE GIGACHAD MINDSET : Despite being neck deep in the hypochondria ocean in high school, I wanted to study stuff relating to healthcare in college. I didn't care that I could potentially get triggered everyday, I'd find a way to deal with it. And then I managed to beat hypochondria before entering college!!!

-> Ultimately, (and this may not suit you) what led me out of the second stage was a buddhist meditation called Maranasati. I used to do other types of meditation as well; maranasati is "death awareness meditation". Basically you just confront death and illness heads on and learn to be at peace with them.

Third stage: Knowing it's just anxiety

-> On this stage, the "health anxiety" part of your anxiety is gone or almost gone.

Just ride the bad vibes until the anxiety symptoms subside. And use the coping mechanisms and distractions as well.

Fourth stage: I got so evolved I can cut panic attacks as soon as they start

-> on this stage, I can immediately identify when something is making me anxious and think "oh, X thing is making me anxious"; and the panic symptoms immediately quiet down and stop; since the knowledge that yes, that concrete and perceived thing is the cause of our anxiety is anchored in my subconscious.

I hope anything I wrote can help you, good luck, beat that bitch into a pulp :)

You seem really knowledgeable about epictale. Could you talk about how epic!gaster is aware of us, the viewers, and how he created the remake of epictale not just to rebuild what was lost but to entertain us? Right after entry 25, he says "I do hope that this would meet their expectations" which makes it sound like he designed this new world/remake with us in mind. Do you think his goal was to keep things engaging, unlike the preboot? It almost feels like he's playing the role of a creator and a performer, making sure we aren't bored this time. What are your thoughts on this

JFSAJHF Thank you! I'm definitely not the most knowledgeable about it, but I do try to refresh myself on the canon and stick to it for the most part. I like to take what's canon and then expand on it (do I do it as well as others? No but I try xD) Pardon me, but this will be a long ramble ^v^

Just a couple examples:

Like Epic and Packs' (Epictale Papyrus - shoutout to @sirsquidsalot for the name) Eyes. It's canon that Epic had his Eye implanted into his skull whereas Packs was created with his. Gester (again shoutout to Squid with the awesome naming) admitted to having the Codes for the Eyes written for a long time, long before the skelebros' creations and before Frisk fell. Also, Packs doesn't have blasters but Sans does (they come with the Eye).

So, maybe the reason Packs's STATS are so high is because of his yellow Eye, after all, Epic's STATS drastically improved because of the Eye's implantation. Then there's how Epic's Eye always torments him because he uses it but Packs's doesn't - he's never used the Eye (until his fight with Gester before Gester killed him). Where does the Eye's power come from? I thought what better power source for it to channel than the Void, and have thought of explanations for it in a separate post all about the Void and Anti-Void.

Then there's the Epictale ramble a while back, where I thought of a HC about ghosts being considered not true monsters, and so the Epictale ghost fam (Mettaton, Napstablook, Lara/Red, MadMewMew) would be able to relate to and connect with Epic and Packs, who would also be considered fake/inferior monsters because of their artificial creations from test tubes, since monsters in Epictale are implied to reproduce similarly to humans (many jokes about it, from Epic in the past and Gester and his relationship with his human situationship Moopey)

And from that, I thought, well, if monsters were desperate to destroy the Barrier (and Epictale's Barrier was stated by Yugo to be far more powerful than the Barrier in Undertale that it was impervious to nuclear attacks from blasters) they would harvest Souls from human children, then why not sacrifice some of their own, in the name of their freedom? Ghosts possess intangibility and can go through objects. You can't tunnel out of the Underground to escape the Barrier - it encapsulates the entire Underground. The only way out, if the Barrier can't be destroyed, is through it. But mere monster Souls are not enough. And so the ghosts who were ordered to cross the Barrier by becoming intangible would dust.

I'd imagine that's why there are no new/younger ghosts, since it's only Mettaton, Blooky, Lara, and Mew Mew, all of whom have lived for centuries or "ghost years" and are implied to have been alive before the Monster-Human War. And it's why all of the ghost fam work to be productive and meaningful contributors to monster society, why they assign their worth to how productive they can be (and unintentionally pass on this harmful mindset to a young Epic)

Now, on to a shitty Dadster tied only by XGaster himself, Gester! Gester himself didn't destroy the old world of Epictale (the deleted reboot), that was the Creator of Epictale (it's the in comic stated reason that it was some entity that had destroyed the previous timeline) but he IS influencing the creation of this timeline's new story, playing the part of both maestro performer and audience.

He created Epic and Packs because he knew Frisk would fall and he could use their Soul. Epic and Packs were not only back-ups but also additional story plots to keep Readers invested. It's why in this new timeline there are new characters like Lara/Red, Mad Mew Mew.

Right after his battle with Epic, Gester possessing Frisk states how Epic couldn't tell he was performing.

Ironically enough, Gester is a performer like Epic. Gester put on a mask and assumed the identity of a character that would garner the most attention, that would make his audience captivated and interested in him.

Before their battle, Epic asked if Gester would be a hero or a villain. Gester assigned himself the role of the main antagonist. He is using the excuse of hating the corrupted of humanity's proclivity for evil and desiring their extinction as the reason for his assault on the Underground.

All lies hold a grain of truth. Gester canonically knows about alternate timelines and alternates of the core cast of the story since he remembers the events of the reboot. But doesn't know about AUs themselves in the current Epictale comic.

His knowledge of alternate timelines is also referred to in the flashback with Moopey in the Love? comic, where it's mentioned how with seven human Souls a monster could become godlike and do just about anything: create new landscapes, produce an infinite amount of resources, create another universe, etc. Moopey describes it as a miracle, and Gester agrees.

Along with confirming Gester's memory of the alternate timeline, this flashback comic pre-Monster-Human War includes how Gester laments that they couldn't prevent some monsters from being enslaved by humans. Instead of seeking humanity's destruction, he proposes to Moopey his plans of monsters intervening and saving humans from themselves by eliminating humanity's corrupt royalty, etc. He is certainly ruthless and cutthroat, admitting that he believes great bloodshed must occur for world peace but is not put off by that fact itself. He holds no moral dilemma over committing atrocities, only worries about the opposing humanity royalty/government from finding out and stopping their plans.

Yet when Gester fights Sans, and later Toriel, he claims he wants humanity extinct. He mocks Sans, mocks Toriel, who he considers his old friend and his "little princess" when she was growing up, to be fools for their belief of eventual peace. He says they've been lied to and are blind to the truth: that humanity deserves to be destroyed.

Here, Gester is performing to the max. He is making the hard call - obliterating obstacles in his path, killing the few to save the majority, to complete the true goal of peace by killing his opposition, creating an army of followers, and eliminating humanity. I believe he is parroting Moopey when he does this, repeating what were her beliefs to convincingly sell his act, that this is how he truly feels and thinks.

Perfect!Gester, with Frisk's Soul and both Eyes, now has the power to destroy the Barrier and free monsterkind. Contrariwise, he seeks to enslave the monsters of the Underground to save them, when what he'd need to save them would be to destroy the Barrier. Why continue with this grand scheme of destroying humanity? Why have these grand battles? Because, back to his self-admittance, he is putting on the best show he can to create an interesting story for the Readers.

Because he needs to sell his play. He needs it to be convincing, to be entertaining, otherwise it was all for nothing.

Gester doesn't want to have to hurt Toriel. He doesn't want to murder monsters to achieve his goals. But he feels like he must. To make his performance convincing. To play the part no one else could nor would ever want.

Why? Why is Gester hurting the ones he cares about?

Because he believes he has to.

The lines between his mask and his true self blur. Juxtaposing one another to overlapping. Using the role he'd been casted to help his species. To help monsterkind, he'd destroy the Barrier. To help his AU, to hold the attention of Creators and Readers, he'd create an interesting story for them (us) to enjoy.

He knows he will fail in his role's ultimate goal of eradicating humanity. He knows he will die, and so this all has to have been worth it. Hurting the ones he cared about, hurting Toriel, hurting his people, and becoming the very thing about humanity he hated. TO become the very thing he swore to destroy, something he never wanted and despised more than anything, what could possibly hold such devastating merit?

To Gester, the ends justify the means. He will hurt, he will kill, monsters to destroy humanity. Then he will resurrect them once humanity is gone, achieving true world peace.

I think Gester is as much of a bastard as he plays himself up to be and it's canon that the mask he wore is becoming/has become his true face. But also how must it feel, to know that if the Readers become bored or the strange entity that destroyed the previous timeline (the Creator), then his timeline will either be erased like the reboot of Epictale or discontinued. Forever trapped in limbo until their world is forgotten entirely.

To Gester, the ends justify the means, and this is both for his performance as the Big Bad, and for his choices to create an interesting story by hurting his people instead of finding other ways to help them (like only destroying the Barrier).

No one else knows this, he is alone in this burden and hides his true purpose of creating an interesting story for the Readers with the excuse of helping monsterkind. Either during his Royal Scientist days by claiming to seek ways to destroy the Barrier, to the comic's present day of enslaving the Underground and creating an army to help him destroy humanity.

He will do anything and everything he can to create this fantastic, even epic, story. Everything, from creating children, creating his sons, only to abuse them and use them as living vessels/power storage units. To tormenting his old friends and killing them. To enslaving his people and corrupting their minds, utilizing their corpses, to destroy an entire species. Claiming the creation of peace by building it with oceans of blood and death.

He is achieving and will have achieved this goal, but at the cost of forever cementing himself as the horrible villain.

Hanging with friends on Spring break seems the most obvious yeah? You've got to have SOME, right?

Okay, HARSH, but fair enough I guess that is obvious XD I took your advice and embarked on a long and treacherous walk to see... my next door neighbor Kris XP Despite them living basically in my own backyard, I... don't really remember the last time I was at their place. There was a time where I was over there more often than my own house. I knocked on their door, and their mom answered, as expected... she was very surprised to see me. She asked if something was wrong... I told her I was just here to see Kris. She laughed and asked if there was something wrong with ME, before letting me in. We spoke for a few minutes before I headed upstairs to see Kris. Their mom is always really nice to talk to... she always seems like she actually cares about what I have to say X) "Kris, look presentable, a friend's coming up to see you!" their mom shouted as I walked up the stairs... I giggled and hesitantly opened the door to their room. I don't know if I'd call Kris "presentable" even at their best, but they looked as Kris-y as ever XD They were hunched up in Asriel's bed, using his computer monitor as a TV, playing Super Smashing Fighters... Kris-y as ever XP I waved at them, and they nodded in acknowledgement. I pulled over the chair from the desk and sat down next to Kris on the bed, watching them play. "So... is this like, the story mode? Subspace of Light or... something?" I asked, looking over at them... they nodded again. All of my friends are really big on Super Smashing Fighters, and while I of course like it... I wouldn't say I'm the biggest fighting game girl. I'm CERTAINLY not as knowledgeable as Kris and Berdly are. After beating a stage, they exited back into the main menu, selecting multiplayer and handing me a controller... a THIRD PARTY controller. The nerve XP "Are you having me play just so you can beat me again?" I laughed... they just smirked. We picked a map, picked our characters, went into the game... and then right away they knocked me down, hitting me off the map and taking my first life. I started jumping around as much as I could, hitting them when they got close... eventually I racked up enough damage to get my first kill. I may not have the technical skill, but I can still be a nuisance! XD After a bit, we both took another life off of each other... now we're both down to just one. I'm trying to play properly at this point, so I'm not using my cheese-strats... and Kris is totally beating my butt, I really thought I was going to lose. Then I... I don't even know what happened I just got one hit on them and they went FLYING. The match ended, and... I won??? They looked real grumpy about it... now I get to hold this over them for the rest of their life XP We played for a while longer until I eventually had to head back home and start dinner. It was weird... we've barely hung out in the last few years, but today everything just continued like nothing ever happened, it felt so... normal. It was almost like we were friends. I'm not sure if they'd feel the same... but I think I'll try to see them again soon.

I've heard that it is impossible for Blackstar to have only black paws and ears. And I've seen multiple headcanons that he is seal point (I think it was seal point).

Just a lot of people say he, in real life,would need more black on his body to have black paws and ears, and a lot of people prefer headcanon that he is Siamese or seal point.

So what do you think about this? Is it possible for him to have only black paws and ears?¿(also some other videos that depict genetically accurate Warriors, says that. But at the same time that content creator got MULTIPLE things wrong about cats, so I don't believe almost anything that person says about genetically accurate cats because they got a lot of BASIC things wrong, and I want to hear your opinion because you actually know what you are talking about and you have valid info and knowledge :3)

I wouldn't say it's "impossible" as white spotting can take a wild variety of shapes...but it's so unlikely that it's hard to suspend disbelief for.

This is because of how white distributes across the body. It generally starts from the belly and spreads up/out. Paws, tail tips, muzzles, and extremities are usually the only things covered, or the last things covered.

It would be VERY unlikely for a cat to have ONLY their ears & paws pigmented, but no pigment anywhere else. It would require embryonic pigment drift to occur in a very strange way...

The tail is so much longer than the ears, the spread of white would have to be super uneven. And then there's making ALL four feet uniformly black on top of that. So all the melanocytes drifted from the tail...to the feet? I don't believe that journey. Or white spread down to the legs, stopped at the wrist/toes (depending on design), but didn't have any left for the tail?

It's not truly impossible, no, I don't think so. Cats get strange, uneven white spotting all the time. I've seen cats with white capes on their backs but not much in the belly. Cats with seemingly-random dalmatian-like spots. Otherwise-van cats with heart shapes over their actual hearts. Cats with white legs but pigmented bellies. Cats who are more white on their left than their right...

But the logic of white spread (belly-up) & pigment drift (pigment pushed into groups, towards extremities) don't work together to make that particular pattern in a way that feels...comfortably real.

If I saw a real cat with that marking, I wouldn't leap to call it photoshopped - but I would be impressed, send it to all my friends, and not stop talking about it for days. I wouldn't make his markings available in some kind of "realistic" cat maker or use them in a "realistic" story. But if someone said they saw "Irl Blackstar" as a feral on their neighborhood, I'd believe them enough to be excited to see a picture!

Reality is often weirder than fiction. Often, when we talk about "realistic," we don't mean what could actually be feasibly possible, if all the stars aligned and everything went perfect in 1,000,000 teeny tiny ways, and only happened once or twice - in our lifetimes, in recorded history, or ever.

What often we mean is, would we expect this result?

I think that the most believable realistic Blackstar would be a VERY high-white van with heavy brockling* on their toes/feet. So, basically, white except for black ears/tail/feet...but the feet markings uneven and splotchy.

There's van cats out there with fully-white tails, though. I think you could push it and still get away with a believable Blackstar by having the tail be white, but sparser brockling* on the feet - just a few toes & ticks.

*Brockling is a term used in cow genetics. It refers to white patches being broken up by bits of pigment (it's a little more complicated but shhh XD). I've never heard a cat term for this, so I use the cow term.

Really, I think it's the black feet that break it for me XD Whether the feet are white on a pigmented body, or pigmented on a white body, they're very rarely even socks across all 4 like Blackstar. And even on white cats with black legs, their toes almost always get some white on them.

also oh man I totally get that frustration... No offense to other Warriors family tree creators at all, there's nothing wrong with being a beginner or making mistakes (hell, I make them ALL the time), but I made my first video out of frustration from hating all the Genetically Accurate Family Tree videos that already existed XD

Long answer, I know... I hope it all makes sense ;v; I'm happy to try to explain differently if you need.

Undertale/ISAT crossover thoughts

Don't really want to write one myself (already got enough fics I'm failing to write XD) but ever since I finished In Stars and Time I've been thinking how I'd write a crossover between these two amazing games and I figured I'd share my notes in case anyone needs a bit of help/motivation in writing their own~ =D

Warning: These will mostly be in 'order of thought' as it's all barebones stuff. Also contains FULL spoilers for both Undertale and In Stars and Time so er, if you're still looking to play those/still getting through them don't read this and please play this incredible games.

Mt Ebott is located on The Island and the shattering of the Barrier brings the ability to see color back to all those on the (ISAT) surface.

Humans losing the ability to see color in ISAT was due to them/the 'wish wizards' of The Island sacrificing it (along side their seven strongest 'colour casters') in a Wish Craft ritual, naturally leading to humanity losing most of their 'colour magic' knowledge.

Undertale's 'sepia flashbacks' were all Chara's memories of how the world looked to them, BUT once in the Underground they were able to see (and remember things on the Surface) in color (hence the whole 'golden flowers' bit; it was still mostly just a cover story but Chara genuinely wished that they could see their favorite flower field as the 'gold' they realized it was rather than the 'mid tones' they saw it as on the Surface).

...The 'erasure' of the Island I'm thinking might've been accidentally poor Chara and Asriel's fault: with Chara's 'ritual' killing of themselves via buttercup taking three days to happen, Chara being from the Island insisting Asriel always give them flowers in groups of three, seven and thirteen, and an entire Underground filled with tons and tons of 'trapped' wishes from monster kind for their freedom combining with Chara's self loathing/desire to hurt those who hurt them trapping them in a loop that Just. Wouldn't. End. until Chara eventually snapped and pulled a 'May these people, this Island, EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE WHO'D EVER HURT THE MONSTERS I LOVE including me BE ERASED UNTIL THE MONSTERS ARE FREE!' and um. Welp. There went an entire nation... (also Flowey eventually remembered some of this but only after going back to being Flowey post Asriel and probably it took a while for him to sort through all that).

Which er, means in this fic, that the people of The Island and the Island itself are still 100% there but they've all spent roughly 8 years or so all blitzed out of their minds: Need to think of Chara's exact wish wording so its not just 'corpses everywhere' but very good odds the people on the Island were either running on full automatic for years or able to remember some stuff but only if they very very carefully did not think of themselves as their own countrymen/used the languages of elsewhere/were careful not to think of where they were as any actual location within their country...

...Which naturally would effect the kids by far the most as their very language is basically a brown note (bilingual types could at least swap over to a different language but likely most of The Island was rendered silent) and well, pretty hard to remember Mt Ebbot is the mountain that must not be climbed when you can't think of the locations around you by name and the adults may or may not remember the kids exist half the time so... Yeah. Cue a lot of kids climbing up the mountain due to both lack of warnings and increased chances of feeling ignored/isolated/hurt.

Aka why in Undertale we can never hear/read anything Frisk says, why the monsters outside of Flowey/Asriel never refer to Chara by name and why no one remembers Frisk's name until after the Barrier shatters: Chara's 'Wish' couldn't be broken until then.

Not sure where all the anime and high tech that's washing into the Underground is coming from but either The Island used to be a massive tech hub prior to memory erasure, a LOT of tech was lost along with the loss of color or The Island's memory erasure in the ISAT world color magitech? maybe the wizards tried to seal away more than just monsters?, or IDK maybe the Underground barrier techincally had them displaced outside of Space and Time a bit and the garbage that was washing in was from literally everywhere thanks to the Universe wanting to help them or something (side note: realizing the memory erasure from Chara may have accidentally snipped Universe worship from the monsters as well since they clearly venerate the stars also but well. Imagining that Siffrin and party are in Bambouche meeting Bonnie's sister (or idk, having a vacation or reunion there if you wanna give Siff a bit more recovery/'explaining his issues to his family' time) when the Barrier is broken and all the colors come rushing back. Best first sunset ever (right before the entire Surface world kinda flips out over color, and to a lesser extent those familiar with The Island start remembering more and more details as the 'curse' weakens a little with every monster leaving Mt Ebbot) followed up by Siffren and the others absolutely losing their minds over how beautiful the stars are with just a tiny bit of color to them (the stars no longer being passively pushed out of people's awareness helps).

Anyway next day the party realize they have to investigate: Partly because Siff is well, kind of losing their mind over being able to see and remember home a little, but also because W.T.F and the Island is clearly the epicenter of everything going on. ...Also Siff may remember childhood stories about colors being locked away to serve as warning for if the Monsters returned so um. That's could be a thing.

Meanwhile the Monsters are getting a MUCH warmer reception from the local humans than they ever could've imagined (accidentally saving a nation from enforced amnesia kinda does that) and are also very confused as to why no one knows who they should get in contact with for formal alliance stuff (not sure if The Island has much of a government left at this point honestly...)

Would Flowey and the ghosty Chara acompanying Frisk count as Sadnesses???

... And er, that's all I got plot/setup wise. Most of my brain energy had been spent on imagining what soul colors all the ISAT cast have and also 'What Pokemon would they all be if they ended up in a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game?' so have a list with my reasoning on that front! =D

Siffrin: Blue/Integrity - Might seem like an odd choice given his constant lying/acting but like. Given all of the memory erasure and the torture of the loops Siffrin's absolute refusal to compromise his family's happiness/safety or use the loops for literally anything not 'helping family/ending the loops' based (even when he's basically losing his mind and could really use just... Taking a loop or three to goof off or something) just screams how devoted he is to what he believes in and well, the amount he lies syncs up well with how insane he's going so yeah. Siffren is an Integrity soul who's having a really really hard time being true to himself due to all the wobbie breaking he's gone through all his life. Specifically I like to picture his soul as a very dark, deep black/blue with little pinpricks of other colored light (mostly green, red and yellow), like a tiny heart shaped starry night's sky <3 (And er, bet that soul went very 'red/bleeding sky' as he was losing it in Act 5; Determination isn't his color by nature but they were not well at that point at all).

Isabeau: Cyan/Patience - Isa is super kind and all sorts of things but what really sets him apart is just how patient he is about everything (in ways both good and bad). I like to imagine his soul looking like a blue daytime sky, maybe with the odd white cloud and yellow 'sun' dot: partly because it fits him but also partly to cutely contrast Siffrin's. *cue me humming Like Morning Follows Night from the RWBY OST because I mean. It kinda fits honestly

Mirabelle: Orange/Bravery and/or Yellow/Justice - Again another 'you might not think so' but like. Mirabelle is hella gutsy despite her anxiety and I admire her so so much (also JUSTICE BARRIER REFLECT AGAINST THE KING YAAAAGH! XD) Not super attached to it as Isa and Siff's but the orange/yellow glow of a sunset (maybe with some pink/purple along the edges to show her Perseverance <3).

Odiel: Green/Kindness - She's hella awkward about how much she cares and not the greatest at reading situations/reacting gently but like. Her sheer affection towards the others, her always watching and coming out with the bandages and how she point blank tells Siff 'nope, not angry at you nearly blowing up the world. Also you trying to do that because you love us is cute' means I can't really see her any other way~ Not sure if her soul would be dark green (for more Integrity) or more light green (for more Justice) but all in all, very very green, like light/dark speckled leaves <3

Bonnie: Purple/Perseverance - This kid endures so much so well I swear (they're also really brave so a little orange would work well too but despite everything I don't think bravery is their main characteristic). I like to think of their soul as very 'purple evening clouds with bits of brave orange gold/setting sun on the edges'.

And Loop has a White boss monster soul for reasons; thinking that in this crossover that Monsters believe that they were born from the Universe's compassion (with The Islander's myths claiming they're the result of failed/'cursed' wishes like the 'brother who can understand my suffering Wish Craft' fairytale Siff finds in the Orary room) and both Monsters and the Islanders believing Sadnesses are born from forcing a wish of cruelty/sorrow that goes against the will of the Universe (cue Chara and Flowey who probably were Sadnesses in this until the breaking of the Barrier grumbling that yeah that sounds about right and The King from ISAT proving to even more aaagh than he already was).

Albert, a name chosen by his parents and later changed by himself to “Bert-Bert” at the tender age of 5, because he considered it too common or rather boring.

It was the only name he held on to when he was trying to rediscover his old identity, and he hasn't let go since.

3. How long was your lamb held captive by heretics before their sacrifice?

Enough to reconsider his decision to let himself be caught, but not too much to plan how to escape. At most he had one sleepless night before he was taken before the bishops to take his last breath.

So I'd say about a week. For the first three days, he was escorted out of Silk Cradle without resistance before arriving at the cells where he would be locked up for the next four days, during which time they prepared everything and waited for the bishops.

What's your alien design philosophy? What evolutionary laws do you heed?

Sorry I know I said I'd draw these but I was mostly referring to questions about the sophonts/world and not me XD I'm too boring to draw, and I'd just put this text in any drawing anyway, so here it is:

My main philosophy is make it believable enough for what you're going for.

Use suspension of disbelief, but with biology. You can spin together a hard realistic design, or make a deisgn that has enough believeable elements for someone to say yeah that thing can walk and be alive and do the things you say it does, and there's also a certain point you can cross where something just becomes impractical/not real looking. Like, there's a lot of ways you can draw a dragon, some of them more real to life than others. What way you choose to draw it depends on what dragon you want in your setting.

For me, I don't really have the knowledge to make anything crazy realistic but that's not what I'd want to do anyway because it takes some of the fun out of it for me. But I know enough that it still annoys me when something doesnt make sense or doesnt have an explanation, so instead I try and get close to something that'd "work"

This is based on the usual stuff, that you're referencing; there's limits to what's possible with nature (example, there's a lot of specific things that an animal needs to be able to fly, especially if theyre big.

I decided against true flight for Arasit because their transformation into a gliding adult stage of the Kixeli species happens after birth during their puberty.

The necessary chest, head, and limb adjustments (not to mention any internal stuff to help with their weight) that they'd have to develop basically out of nowhere would be too much in my unprofessional opinion, and it didnt make sense from anywhere else in their biology for them to just go into a cocoon and do this.

So instead I made them grow a little bit longer limbs with an altered pinky and elbow area, and keep everything else (other than a cartilagenous head fin) the same as their normal adult Kel counterparts.

Another "law" I guess is there is/should be a justification for everything a species has

(even if the justification is 'it looks cool'. If youre just keeping it at that, maybe come up with how it affects them. Adding realism from a social or cultural side can help make a setting more real even if the deisgn isn't super hard scifi. If youre giving them a crazy color scheme, what colors do they think are prettier? What colors are "masculine or feminine?" (if thats applicable), how do they think other peoples colors look like in comparison? Etc?

if you're going for more realistic, this can still be used if you want something there because a lot of weird features can be sexually selected, and you can just say that. are the colors there because theyre poisonous? Effectiveness for choosing a mate? What color spectrum can they see if these are the colors they have? Do they have different blood pigments that cause these colors or use any chemicals that we dont have to make themselves that color? Combining realistic social/culture with the physical can make for a very believable alien, but it's a spectrum.

even if you come up with a reason after the designing it part, it can retroactively lead to adding more things to their design or behavior (example with the Kixeli again, but I originally had no purpose for that opening by their eyes but kept it there because I wanted something in that space on their head. Now, it has a function as a salt removing gland that helped them in their ocean environment and as part of the hollow cavities in their beak area that keep it from being too heavy for them. )

Idk definitely look at da rules for how things work on earth but You're the one that's designing them. The possibilities are endless

Oh lord the things this show did to my teenage brain 💗 I shit you not I would finish this series and then REWATCH IT ALL OVER AGAIN ON THE SAME DAY, I was hardcore obsessed with this show!! Permanently altered my brain chemistry, and unfortunately in the process I watched it so much I ruined it for my older brother 😂😂 To this date this show has one of the most powerful shows of intensity coupled with the most bittersweet ending I have ever seen 😭 Like literally, hmu about this show because there's no one else I know that even KNOWS what this show is and I am always down to talk about this one any time!! 4 Tiger & Bunny

This show. These two. Holy shit. 💯 they've definitely altered my brain waves too XD This show has some of the most dynamic characterization, design and storytelling I've seen in a long time! I definitely got into it later in life but I'd say I got into it at just the right time. An anime about the nitty gritty of superhero life specifically made with adult audiences in mind 💚

5 Code Lyoko

I was obsessed with this show when it first launched on cartoon network! A unique blend of 2D and 3D animation with all kinds of dangers and hijinks. The 3D is definitely a little aged but I think it still holds up well for a show made in '03. Me and my brother used to quote this show all the time and giggle over the dumb jokes so much that my mom dropped the rule of needing to be excused from the dinner table for reasons I can't remember XD Shout-out to Odd for being my first introduction to a cat-like person with his 3D model 💜

6 Case Closed / Detective Conan

Murder mystery anime for the win!! Still ongoing even after 28 years of airing 💯 I'm going through and trying to complete an entire series watch!I didn't get into this one until 2011 with the 6th movie (they played it at our library's local anime club meeting) and only watched the dub until recently, but at least I have a lot to watch! 💚

7 Xiaolin Showdown

I loved this cartoon! Fun, exciting, well rounded characters and villains, amazing plots and fun times all around! I remember they even had a contest for this show to design your own weapon that would be later added into the show! Jack Spicer is a hilarious villain and shout-out to Chase Young for being my first fictional crush ever 💚

8 Pokemon

Raichu my beloved!!! 💚💚Aside from Raichu, I loved this show growing up. Ash was such a fun and likeable protagonist for me as a kid and heck this show is even the reason why I have my irl nickname in the first place. I legit teared up when Ash was finally no longer the main protagonist of the series anymore lol!

Ironically, we did not have cable at the time this show was at the height of it's popularity, so I was only able to watch it when my parents took me and my brother over to our friends house. (Our parents were friends so naturally all us kids were friends too!) But we would all get super excited when this show was on, especially if the episode was new! I think we used to pretend to be the characters? XD And I remember the eldest sister of our friends came by one day with avatar fruit snacks for us all, it was awesome 💯💚 Zuko still has one of the best redemption arcs I've seen in a show 👌

10 Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles

A middle school favorite!! For months I wanted everyone in school to call me Sakura 😅 Still have my DVDs and a few manga books for this series. Loved it a ton even if the anime itself never did wrap up the story completely. The OVAs were bad-ass though, and a lot of the OST is still downloaded to my ipod 💯 (Yes I still use an ipod in 2024 lmao) (Looks familiar? The Manga artists of Cardcaptor Sakura, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Chobits also made this one - CLAMP!)

Holy fuck this took way longer to pull together than I thought it would! I think I spent over an hour?? XD But it was super fun anyway!! I will see if these cool cats would also like to do this one! (I can't think of 10 sorry! XD)

It was just a harmless statement you casually threw out, but something about it must have caught his attention, because the way he's pounding into you right now- legs tossed over his shoulders into a tight press- and the filthy words he's whispering into your ear only serve to remind you of those words.

"I'd make a good dad, you say?" he teases, sharp teeth nibbling at your ear. "Why don't you prove yourself right then? C'mon now, keep those pretty legs open for me~" He knocks your legs apart for the nth time, pressing his thumb to your clit to keep your thighs shaking just the way he likes them.

Sweeney Todd

is literally one of my favorite musicals, and some of my irl friends hate when I talk about it because I do it so often (pretty sure I've drunkenly shared the plot with one of my friends like three times, rip XD)

But I'm not going to rehash the plot here because I... don't want to. Instead, I have some thoughts in general about the plot and the whole character of Sweeney Todd (and some thoughts on the whole Anthony/Joanna thing), the message of the musical, and also the 2007 adaptation (because I've watched it about five times and I keep noticing more adaptation choices).

I'd talk about the original story too, but it's not really as interesting to me. I also read it a while ago, so I probably would miss a lot of things.

One of the biggest messages of the musical is the destructive nature of revenge, how it corrupts a person and their morals and twists them until they can't even recognize their own family.

Honestly, I have so many thoughts and objections to that sort of idea, at least based on the story of Sweeney Todd. Like, without summarizing the whole musical, Sweeney was sent to a prison in Australia on a trumped up charge that (to my knowledge) isn't fully explained. The judge, a power-hungry maniac, was attracted to Sweeney's wife, Lucy, as was Beadle Bamford, and sent Sweeney away so that he could have Lucy.

Keep in mind that when Sweeney was sent away, his daughter, Joanna, was 1 year old.

After Sweeney was sent away, the judge invited Lucy to his house "because he felt bad" and instead he was hosting a masquerade party where he (and probably others) raped Lucy, with no one stepping in to help her. She subsequently tried to kill herself and ended up basically losing her mind.

If I were Sweeney, and I escaped from prison 15 years after this happened, I would absolutely want to kill the people responsible. Especially after learning the full story from Mrs. Lovett.

It's also really important to note that the only reason he starts killing other people at all is because his attempt at killing the judge is foiled and he kinda goes crazy. And it's Mrs. Lovett who encourages this. Which, and I'll talk about later, feels different in different adaptations.

Anyway! Here's the thing -- I don't condone what Sweeney does, entirely, because he does kill a lot of people, but I don't love that the musical completely condemns Sweeney and frames his need for revenge as something to be completely avoided. Like, I don't know if that says way too much about me or anything, but I can't fully blame him for wanting to kill the Judge and the Beadle. Both men did unspeakable things, unforgivable things, that they don't ever face consequences for.

Because they're rich, entitled fucks.

I feel like everyone knows the story of Sweeney Todd in the most basic sense of "he kills people and bakes them into pies" and it's such a gross simplification of the actual class struggles and morality issues that are way more complex. Not enough stories treat revenge as justified.

Except for, like, Princess Bride.

Oh also, the whole Anthony/Joanna love story? Everyone treats it as so cute and sweet and a light in the darkness of the musical, but seriously??? She doesn't know his name until halfway through the musical, and before he even shares his name with her, he says that he'll "steal her" and "even now I'm at your window." At first it feels so innocent, like love at first sight, but like... it's so stalkery.

Also, remember how I said before that Joanna was 1 when Sweeney was sent away, and he escaped 15 years later?

Yeah. Not only does Anthony want her, but so does the Judge. Like... Claude Frollo style.

But yeah, Anthony feels like such a stalker to me. Does he have pure intentions? Sure, yeah, he wants to rescue her from a terrible situation. Is it still a little weird? Yeah. The way he frames it and the lyrics of his songs just... they rub me the wrong way sometimes.

Onto the adaptations, then! Or, adaptation singular, I guess.

I don't love the 2007 Sweeney Todd movie. Have I watched it a half a dozen times? Yeah. Yes I have. Do I like it? A little, I guess. It just feels like it drains the entire spirit of the musical. Eliminating the chorus/ensemble songs makes it feel like they were trying to take the musical out of the movie. You know what I mean? Like they were trying to erase the fact that it was a musical and cram it into a movie format. Although, I will admit, there were some cool cinematic changes made during transition music that worked really well.

Another thing I do like is that they actually had Toby played by a kid. I understand why they don't usually do that, but it was a nice reminder that Toby is meant to be young.

As much as the casting of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter seems like it would be a good fit for Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett... I feel like they just don't commit to the bit enough. Bonham-Carter's Mrs. Lovett just isn't unhinged enough. And yeah, I am biased toward Angela Lansbury's portrayal, and I guess it is kinda cute to see the compassion Bonham-Carter's Mrs. Lovett has for Toby, but like... I dunno, I just feel like she's not crazy enough. Maybe it's just me, but her going into the whole "we should bake people into pies" doesn't feel as natural, because she doesn't start as insane. Lansbury's Mrs. Lovett is just... superb, I love her.

I feel like they committed too hard to the aesthetics of the era and not enough to the actual just... content of the characters. Also, they do cut out so much of the fucked up stuff, which makes sense, but also it's already rated R, so why not just leave it in? Y'know? Like, they took out the line about how old Joanna was when Sweeney was sent away to... avoid the pedophilia that the Judge displays in the original musical? For why? They also erase the desire the Beadle has for Lucy too? Not that it was a hugely important part of the musical, but like... why cut out lines like that? The song still exists, but the lines are changed or erased. There are a bunch of songs that are shortened.

And like, sure, time considerations are a huge thing. I get that movies have time constraints. It just feels so pointless to cut out some of these things. The movie is barely over two hours, like they could have kept some things in.

Anyway, if you're gonna watch a version of Sweeney Todd, go watch the 1982 film with George Hearn and Angela Lansbury. I prefer Len Cariou's singing voice, but I haven't been able to find a recording of the original original musical with him and Lansbury, so the 1982 film is the closest I've come (and yes I've watched that one about four times too).

Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time was super fun XD

Danny's trouble with his powers post Disasteroid harkens back to the pilot when he had no idea what he was supposed to do with ghost powers. Now that Amity Park is practically overflowing with ghost hunters he's kinda out of a job.

Which ties in very nicely to the nature of the Source. :3

Vlad and Dark Dan's characters being just as much foils of each other as they are for Danny. Vlad also seeing a twisted version of himself in Dan. A mirror image... Who is in pain.

The Source of ecto-energy being not a place but knowledge of how ghosts came to be. How the Ghost Zone and Earth were once one world. And how ghosts themselves require an emotional drive to anchor their sense of self.

Tying back to why Danny was getting weaker and why reaffirming his commitment to protect, not just humans but ghosts too, gave him a power boost.

And why Dark Dan's singleminded focus makes him so powerful.

Powerful enough where it takes both Danny and Vlad working together to take him down.

But instead of simply defeating him or letting him suffer the consequences of tampering with time. Dark Dan is shown mercy. I'd even tentatively say that it's the first step away from punitive justice to a more restorative model.

And without feeling out of character too.

... Ok, now for the not so good stuff.

This might just be a me thing but the fight scenes, particularly the final battle, were a little difficult for my ADHD brain to keep track of. Don't get me wrong, the art's gorgeous! Just confusing.

The inclusion of the Aztec Sun Stone in a Mayan temple was... Not great tbh.

How does Gortash feel when Durga reappears in Act 3? How does their relationship change?

Well, for the start I'd say all his strongest emotions about meeting his old friend began boiling inside of him as soon as he even heard that Durga is alive or at least when the adventurous party came close enough to Wyrm's Rock. Though I'd love to imagine him almost unable to contain his excitement, skipping those steps and almost falling on the stairs while running to greet her, he obviously capable of present himself as quite reserved even if obviously pleased looking.

Most of his joy fades away when he actually sees Durga in front of him: that woman who had been confident and carried herself accordingly now hardly looked like one. She is at the moment still quite unsure of herself and of the rightness of her actions, because from the moment she woke up on the beach, many things felt wrong. Gortash sees her uncertainty and deep down he is very annoyed by it. Add to this the fact that Gortash very diligently accustomed Durga to expensive jewelry and fabrics in the past, and now she stood in front of him, at best, in a very inexpensive outfit (and at worst, her "torn" dress) which does not reflect the status she deserves at all (in his mind).

Fun fact: the dress with slits on the shoulders that I originally drew her in should be an allusion to the dress that I draw pretadpole version of her in, that is, in essence, her new outfit is her torn old dress, just cartoon stylized.

Whatever changes Gortash sees in Durga he blames on her party first and foremost (and he is not 100% wrong doing that). He's not very happy about them existing and is very determined to get his 'caretaker' back. Durga wants to know desperately about who she was and what life she had, because this knowledge makes her feel complete, and Gortash is quite ready to share whatever info she wants to know about herself.

Changes in their relationship are inevitable. Durga, who has lost her memory, can hardly remember clearly how close she and Gortash were, and what they did for each other - this is reflected in her look and behavior, which cannot but sadden her old friend - but she trusts him, and he clings to it. In this state, she is not able to play the same role that she played before amnesia, so we can say that for some time they switched places: Enver was ready to care for her. In his own way. One thing is for sure: Gortash does not judge her true nature when other do, and this adds a significant number of points to him, and that is something he is arrogantly proud of.

Would you say that Silver is low wisdom but high intellect? (Sorry to get all D&D on you again)

No worries, I have played D&D for a bit before so I enjoy it🍀 The internet defines intelligence as how "smart" a character is in the way of possessing knowledge and problem-solving skills, whereas wisdom would be one's intuition, ability to pick up on subtle clues, and their perception on their surroundings. With those definitions, I'd actually argue Silver has higher wisdom than intelligence!

For example, in Rivals 1, Silver clues together that "Eggman" is actually Eggman Nega due to "Eggman's" mannerisms and speech that he's been exposed to over the course of the game. In the scene before, he concludes that Eggman Nega would never let his camera out of his view, making it rather strange that "Eggman" has it all of a sudden; here Silver has also previously discussed the fact that the camera's technology doesn't exist yet in Sonic's present. He furthermore notices that "Eggman" mentions the present and future as places where he will be opposed no more. These are all quite small details to notice, which I argue tie into Silver's ability to perceive them well. And perception is part of wisdom, not intelligence. Heh, Eggman Nega even outright calls him perceptive in Rivals 2. Perhaps a case can be made that Silver going to Eggman in TSR after noticing him and Dodon Pa talking is a sign of perception as well, since Silver is the one originally taking note that the two of them appear to be working together. And in Colours DS, he is the one stating it feels like he and Blaze have teamed up before.

However, I reason Silver's intelligence isn't poor either. Though I can't speak for much of '06 since I never played it (see below as well), I do know he's got the occasional puzzle to deal with (such as the beloved ball puzzle in the desert, haha; he also has to do stuff with scales and his powers in Radical Train, I happen to know): that could be taken as a sign of him using his smarts to continue on his mission. He also is the one doing the Test of Memory to get access to Kingdom Valley, wherein the player must choose the correct option when provided with a bunch of prompts about Silver's adventure. In TSR again, he concludes that Eggman is yearning for the Ultimate Energy Engine and hired Zavok to steal it, where Eggman laments he was being too obvious about it. I argue that there Silver combines the clues he picked up with information he knows about Eggman in general to draw a (correct) conclusion, which I figure is also intelligence.

On the other hand, '06 with Silver trusting Mephiles very much exists, which doesn't speak wonders for Silver's intelligence (or wisdom, for that matter). But a critique of the game I've often seen is that everyone, heroes and villains alike, are juggling the idiot ball like mad and that a lot of plot points legitimately just inherently do not make sense. Thus, I cannot say how much of the game can be used to show Silver is a dumbass and how much of it is simply everything going wrong because the plot goes in a way that makes everyone look bad. So for '06!Silver I find it hard to say what his intelligence and wisdom are, but I argue that his characterisations from Rivals 1 and onwards are geared towards him having both decent enough intelligence and wisdom alike. He's repented himself by not immediately trusting Sonic in White Space and fighting him first before handing over the Emerald /j XD So generally, my own gut feeling is that Silver's perception and intuition are higher than his smarts: he's perceptive and can use information gained there to draw correct conclusions, but he's also very honest and straightforward, where a smarter character would perhaps know to watch their mouth and not say something that actively hinders their mission (e.g. with Knuckles in Rivals 2 or the Soleannan officials in the 2021 Sonic Channel story). Thus my overall conclusion would be that Silver's wisdom is higher than his intelligence; but with low intelligence I mean he's straightforward and doesn't mince his words which can get him in trouble, not that he's outright dumb.

I definitely try haha sometimes I mean to reply and forget or it's simply overwhelming to respond to every comment, but I definitely read all of them and have a few favorites I go back to a lot.

Do you write crossovers?

Absolutely! Crossovers are so much fun, I enjoy the challenge of balancing two different universes in a way that feels believable, and I enjoy reading them too!

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I've dipped my toes into the smutverse on occasion, if it feels right, although it's not my main focus when writing. I tend to favor more on the M side of things instead of E, I like to leave some things up to imagination haha

Not to my knowledge, but I haven't looked, I'm almost afraid too lol

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I don't think so, but if anyone ever wanted to translate any of my fics I'm 100% open to it! Just ask :)

Technically my first fic ever was co-written, it was a fun experiment I first wrote in short pieces here on tumblr and I compiled it into one fic after it got too long to follow. Special shoutout to @derpyslurpy-da-derp-master for letting me post their contribution! I was unable to label it as co-written on ao3 for some reason, but I am happy to credit them for helping set me on my fic author path!

What's your favorite all time ship?

Oh gosh, that's a hard question to ask XD I have a few and they change depending on the current fandom I'm in, but I'm always a slut for clexa, they will never grow old in my eyes

Whats a WIP that you want to finish but probably never will?

Never say never! If a fic is still on my ao3 page consider it not abandoned! Even if I don't get back to it for ages inspiration can strke at any time!

What are your writing strengths?

Hmm, I'd have to say dialogue, when I'm in the zone it feels like I just plopped the characters into a mental room and they are just talking while I'm writing it down at the speed of light. I have to know a character's speech and mannerisms pretty well to get those juices going, but when it does it feels really natural.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Getting stuck on a line or scene and finding the motivation to keep going. I tend to edit as I go so getting stuck on a problem sentence is like getting the tires stuck in mud, I gotta figure it out in the moment before being able to move on.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet, but want to?

Horizon, 100%. It's been my current obsession lately and the plot bunnies have been up to no good, but I feel like I haven't quite gotten the characters mannerisms and speech patterns down well enough to write for it yet. I AM working on something fun to get over this wall, we'll see how this goes.

What's your favorite fic you've written?

Oooh that's a tough one, how do you ask me to choose between my children? I think The Isle Of Serpents has been the most fun AU to write for RWBY, for She-ra it was probably Red Lines, that was my first foray into darker themes. Summer's Place has been my comfort fic lately, coming back to write for it has been like coming home.
