wada sez: Chop Shop was characterised as a scavenger and kleptomaniac in his original Tech Specs. Many of the items on Chop Shop’s shelves are a little hard to make out, but they include ships from various sci-fi franchises, possibly a red Seeker of some kind, a Soundwave, a photo of Megatron, an Xbox, and a Grendizer way down in the bottom-left. A “samoflange” is a component of the ThunderTank from ThunderCats, which gained infamy online after a blooper track from the show made it online wherein Lion-O exclaims, “What the fuck is a samoflange?” There was a minor lettering touch-up to this one after its publication; you can see the original version, which has a few little errors, below.

LUCY’S DINING GUIDE
The Restaurants & Eateries of the Lucyverse ~ Part 3
Eating out brought Lucy to a wide variety of dining spots: sit down resaurants, diners, cafés and lunch counters are all here – in Lucy’s Dining Guide!
Bradshawe Building Coffee Shop
The Unique Employment Agency was located in the Bradshawe Building in Los Angeles, which had its own coffee shop, complete with counter service, booths, and tables. The eatery was featured in several episodes. Sid Gould played the regular waiter.
Yang Sing Ching ~ “Lucy’s Birthday” (1968)
Kim and Craig take their mother out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant. The (unseen) proprietor is named Irving. They even have matzoh ball soup on the menu. The waiters sing “Happy Birthday” to Lucy in Chinese.
Pierre’s Restaurant ~ “Lucy’s Working Daughter” (1968)
To help Kim with her new job at a dress shop, Lucy turns fashion model, crashing a luncheon sponsored by Modern Miss Boutique.
The Theme Room at LAX ~ “Lucy and the Great Airport Chase” (1969)
The Carters have lunch at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) inThe Theme Room (later named Encounter), a circular restaurant located atop the iconic Theme Building.
HARRY: “That was an excellent meal. Those were the best sand dabs I’ve ever had.”
The Brown Derby ~ “Lucy and Johnny Carson” (1969)
After playing Stump the Band on “The Tonight Show” Lucy wins a dinner for two at the Brown Derby. There she runs into Johnny and Ed McMahon. In an homage to the classic “I Love Lucy” episode also set at the Brown Derby, Lucy manages to cause a tray of drinks to be spilled on Carson.
Murphy’s Pizza Parlor ~ “Lucy and the Generation Gap” (1969)
The episode opens with Kim, Craig and their friends planning the school musical at a pizza place operated by an Irish Asian named Murphy Irving Wong (Victor Seng Yung).
Café George ~ “Lucy and Wally Cox” (1970)
Lucy agrees to meet the son of Harry’s friend, Wally, who is afraid of girls. Harry also meets his father and old friend Moose at the same restaurant.
Cafeteria ~ “Lucy Competes with Carol Burnett” (1970)
Lucy and Carol meet at a cafeteria for lunch, where they plan to enter the Secretary Beautiful Contest representing their respective workplaces.
Café ~ “Lucy and Jack Benny’s Biography” (1970)
Lucy recreates all the women in Jack Benny’s life. In the second flashback, set in 1915, Jack is in the navy and is smitten by Zelda (Lucy), a waitress at a café.
The Red Devil ~ “Lucy and Ma Parker” (1970)
Lucy impersonates a femaile master criminal, confronting mobsters Joe Grapefruit and Muggsy at the Red Devil, which is mostly a bar, but also serves grapefruit!
Chez Moi ~ “Lucy Stops a Marriage” (1970)
At a French bistro, Lucy spies on Harry when he dines with Laura Trenton (Jayne Meadows), believing he is headed to the alter. Harry order imported champagne - imported from Fresno!
Waikiki Dining Room on the S.S. Lurline ~ “Lucy Goes Hawaiian: Part 1″ (1971)
Lucy volunteers to assist Harry as cruise director on a ship bound for Hawaii. Viv, Kim and Craig come along. Although recreated on the Paramount lot, the ship was real, as was the Waikiki Dining Room.
Country Club Restaurant ~ “Lucy’s Bonus Bounces” (1971)
Harry meets his analyst Dr. Cunningham (Parley Baer) at the Country Club for lunch. Cunningham orders an iced tea and Harry has half a cantaloupe - which he absent-mindedly pours catsup on!
Harry’s Favorite Restaurant ~ “Lucy Makes a Few Extra Dollars” (1971)
To teach Harry a lesson, Lucy takes Harry to lunch and has Kim wait on him. She is making 40 cents an hour. Lucy orders a hamburger and iced tea. Harry’s usual is a salad - which Kim spills all over him - deliberately. She then dumps an ice cold glass of iced tea in his lap!
Chasen’s ~ “Lucy and Eva Gabor are Hospital Roomies” (1972)
In the hospital Gabor’s assistant Walter (R.G. Brown) brings Gabor's dinner on a silver tray. He says it was prepared especially for her by Chasen's, a real-life West Hollywood restaurant frequented by entertainers. It first opened in 1936 and closed for good on April 1, 1995. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were regulars and had their own private booth there. Although it is mentioned, no scenes are set there.
Schwab’s Drug Store ~ “The Case of the Reckless Wheelchair Driver” (1972)
Kim says she saw Billy Joe Jackson (Jim Bates) at Schwab's. Schwab’s Pharmacy was a drug store located on Sunset Boulevard and was a popular hangout for wannabe movie actors from the 1930s through the 1950s. Schwab’s also had a soda fountain serving ice cream and light meals. It is Hollywood legend that actress Lana Turner was discovered at Schwab’s. Schwab’s closed its doors in October 1983 and five years later was demolished. Schwab’s was mentioned on “I Love Lucy” in “Lucy Wants to Get Into Pictures” (1955).
Hotel Showroom ~ “Lucy and Donny Osmond” (1972)
Lucy’s niece Patricia (Eve Plumb) is a Donny Osmond fan. He is performing at the Hotel Showroom where he later orders a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a glass of milk, even though the chef reccommends the escargot (snails). As a souvenir, Lucy takes the menu... and the ashtray... and the matches... and the flowers... and the vase... and the sugar cubes!
Persian Restaurant ~ “Lucy and Her Prince Charming” (1972)
Lucy is dating a handsome man (Ricardo Montalban) who turns out to be royalty. When Harry finds out that the Prince is in love with Lucy, he'll stop at nothing to get the two married - including masquerading as a fortune teller during their date at a Persian-themed restaurant.
Villa Roma ~ “Lucy’s Last Blind Date” (1973)
When Harry finds out his cousin Ben (Don Knotts) is rich and single, he wants Lucy to go on a blind date with him.
BEN (to Lucy, about the menu): “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but this is all in a foreign language.” LUCY: “It’s Italian. You kinda have to expect that in a restaurant called the Villa Roma.”
Much of the episode also takes place at the Bradshawe Building Coffee Shop (see the first entry above).
The Proud Penguin ~ “Lucy and the Franchise Fiasco” (1973)
The Proud Penguin is a frozen custard stand on Citrus Boulevard across the street from the Los Angeles Zoo. Lucy and Mary Jane are partners in the business, The episodes also features scenes set in the Bradshawe Building Coffee Shop and on the dining terrace of the Westland Country Club, where a dinner of a whole albacore tuna is destroyed by baby penguins!
Refreshment Stand at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum ~ “Lucy and the Big Game” (1973)
Lucy and Harry recieve tickets to a football game between the USC 'Trojans’ and the University of Oklahoma 'Sooners’. Two visiting team fans (Cliff Norton and Al Checco) pass by singing the title song of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. Although the Coliseum is a real place, the gate area was recreated on a Paramount soundstage.
Restaurant ~ “Lucy and Andy Griffith” (1973)
Lucy has coffee with Andy Johnson (Andy Griffith) to talk about his work with underprivileged youth. In the next scene, Kim and Harry meet at the same restaurant and sit in the same booth! The red booths used in the episode were also seen in the Bradshawe Building Coffee Shop.
Dirty Jack’s Paradise Café ~ “Where is My Wandering Mother Tonight?” (1974)
While staying with Kim at her new apartment, Lucy decides to give her and her boyfriend some alone time and visits a nearby tropical-themed café where she drinks coffee and talks to the owner (Jack O’Brien). The famous red booths are back!
Harvey’s Welcome Inn ~ “Lucy Fights the System” (1974)
To prove that a waitress Mary was let go because of her age, Kim goes undercover as a new hire. She deliberately turns the restaurant upside down to prove how capable Mary was. This is the last episode of the series. Fittingly, Harry gets a pie in the face.
“I knew it would end like this.”

Having It Large In Fleetwood and Cleveleys
Reverting to a more familiar northbound trip to Fleetwood on the Thursday, we almost alighted the tram at Fisherman’s Walk, where it had terminated in 2022. The conductor reminded us there were two more stops to Victoria Street. In the market, Phil found a long sought after Harrington jacket. I thought the medium was too small for him. The stallholder agreed he should get the large. This led to…

Word Count: 3,863
First Meeting
Spencer can’t remember the last time this bookstore was so crowded. Personally, he tried to go on early Sunday mornings to avoid the crowds– if any– that came into the shop. Maybe he was being overdramatic. There couldn’t have been more than twenty people in the store with him. But it was still twenty too many. He softly apologizes to the elderly woman as he squeezes past her in the narrow nonfiction aisle.
Most of the crowd seemed to be hovering around the fiction area, which was fine with him– the further away, the better. With his head turned to watch the small crowd bustle about the store, he didn’t notice the person standing just inches from him in the aisle.
You stared at him with a confused expression for a second, thinking surely this man would move eventually. But the moment never came. He was tall with brown hair and long eyelashes. He had the fashion sense of a teacher– correction, teacher’s assistant. You clear your throat softly, hardcover clutched in hand as you watch the man’s head snap over to you, his cheeks flushing red.
“I’m sorry I didn’t see you. Not that you’re hard to miss– I mean in a good way, you’re–” He closes his mouth and swallows hard, looking into your gentle eyes. “I’m sorry.”
You would have felt a little agitated if he hadn’t seemed so earnest, but this man oozes social anxiety, and your heart takes pity on him. Your lips move to a slow smile, and you whisper a sweet, “That’s alright,”
Spencer’s sure he’s never seen kinder eyes, “It’s just so busy today. I was looking at the crowd,”
Your head turns at that, allowing Spencer to take in your features. A light sweater to accommodate the cool air this early-October morning, some Halloween earrings that make Spencer smile, and stunning eyes. “Book signing pop-up, it’ll be crazy until three. At least that's what the stock girl told me.” You’re soft-spoken, too. Spencer can appreciate that.
He nods slightly, looking down at the hardcover in your hand and then over at the crowd again, “Are you not here for the book signing?”
“Afraid not,” You sigh as you hold up a historical fiction novel, “Me and my historical fiction novel were going to take a gander at some biographies.”
He can’t help his peaked interest as he licks his lips, “Regarding?” He’s a fan of history himself and is always happy to interact with someone who also shares a love for it. He feels slightly less anxious talking about something he knows.
You twist your lips to the side like you’re silently debating whether or not you should tell him. You look away for a second, your eyes scanning the bookshelves on either side of you. “Salem Witch Trials.” You answer him bluntly.
Spencer nods like he understands precisely what you mean, “Ah, the more humane witch trials.” It's a funny joke… to him, at least.
But then your lips twitch upwards as you let out a quiet chuckle, “No burning for us, just rope and intense torture.”
He feels electric, which is stupid because he shouldn’t feel excited over something as simple as someone joking with him, but he does. He’s been working on it upon Derek’s sarcastic request, and he can’t help but wonder if it is finally paying off now.
Spencer feels the overwhelming urge to partake in what Garcia describes as ‘info-dumping ,’ but he bites his tongue as he settles on a simple question, “How come?”
You shrug slightly as you look up at him. The bookstore light keeps making his eyes a soft amber, and you’re having a hard time looking away now. “Halloween tradition.” You watch his eyebrow furrow, raising a hand to explain yourself quickly. “My best friend and I each pick a historical event that is relatively macabre, and then we base our costumes around it and throw a party with a related theme. It’s... It’s stupid.” You say with a smile and a wave of your hand dismissively.
Meanwhile, Spencer’s too busy thinking you’re the most extraordinary girl he’s ever interacted with. For the first time in his life, he’s desperate for an invite to a stranger’s party—a pretty stranger who has yet to tell him her name.
“That’s not-”
A woman’s voice cuts him off as she barrels down the aisle with a grin, “There you are, oh…” Her blue eyes look Spencer up and down carefully, studying him. “Hello, there.” She’s direct and forward and speaks in a tone that tells Spencer to leave you the hell alone.
He nods curtly, waving slightly at your friend. You sigh out with mock annoyance as you say, “He’s a friendly, put your gun away.”
“I don’t believe in guns.”
“They’re very real, trust me.” Is your sarcastic reply before looking at Spencer again. “Thanks for the company. I’ll see you around.” And just like that… you’re gone.
Second Meeting
Spencer is sure he’ll never see you again, but here he is a week later, still thinking about you on a case. Or rather, he’s thinking about every woman ever and that he’ll never have a chance with any of them… ever. He’s feeling rather lonely, or maybe his self-esteem is taking a certain nose-dive this fine San Diego day.
It’s not because it’s his birthday. He doesn’t hate his birthday like Elle hates hers– that’s what she told him once—the day started off great: the trick candles, the big birthday hat, his embarrassing crush on JJ. And now, they’re discussing the case, a routine he enjoys.
His mind, always full of helpful information, quickly recognized the ballad from the 17th century– betwixt death and a lady. After his comment regarding what people could find by typing the word ‘death’ in the search engine, Derek’s laughing, “Reid, no wonder you can’t get a date.”
It sticks on him; he would love to let it slide off his back, but he’s not familiar with that kind of territory– dating, that is– so it hits a nerve. A nerve that Spencer didn’t know was so exposed. The worst part is that Derek’s not wrong. Spencer can’t seem to get a date. Not with the pretty intellectual at the bookstore, JJ, or Elle– though that last one feels strange to admit to himself.
He’s too awkward, speaks too fast, and, according to Gideon, needs to relax more. He’s sure… he’s cute, actually, he doesn’t know if he is. All he knows is that his mind is brilliant, his skills involving women… not so much.
He’s silently mulling it over as he approaches one of the bulletin boards, muttering lines of the ballad softly when JJ walks up beside him, “Creepy, huh?” Her voice makes him look at her, hesitating as he replies.
“Actually, uh, conversations between death and his victims was a fairly popular literary and artistic theme throughout the Renaissance.” He’s staring at the bulletin for a second before glancing her away, and his cheeks feel hot when he sees the way JJ is looking at him– disinterest. “But, yeah, creepy.”
He feels like a teenager, and all those years spent in college and not high school are coming back to bite him. He liked girls and boys, too. He should be better at this, he has an IQ of 187 and five degrees to prove it. Spencer walks away from the conversation quickly, his feet carrying him away from the embarrassing moment as quickly as possible. He needs to focus on the case.
And focus he does. He’s happy to analyze the meaning of the ballads at the crime scenes, his anxiety calming as he settles into the sweet caress of facts. Feelings, beauty, and tastes were all subjective. The objective was his comfort zone.
So it stands to reason that he feels lighter after conversing with Gideon about why the UnSub would start to use the ballad if it wasn’t a part of his signature. However, after the team delivers the profile, his lightness returns to his ruminating thoughts surrounding his lack of social skills.
The more he thinks about it, the more he feels the icy breath of repressed memories breathing down his neck. A jammed locker, missing gym clothes, a dark bathroom bolted shut. As the team waits for the UnSub’s suspected phone call to the tip line, he reaches for his bag to pull out a Rubix cube.
His fingers quickly twist and turn it aimlessly until he feels like it’s mixed around enough for him to solve it again. Elle is sitting in a desk chair in front of him as he solves it. He wants to ask her if she’d ever consider dating him, if she thinks JJ would, or if she feels any self-respecting woman would. He doesn’t, though, the question sounding too desperate in his head to say it out loud.
Instead, he asks, “Do you think it’s weird that I knew that ballad?” His eyes don’t stray away from the cube for too long as he asks it, scared of what Elle’s gaze might tell him.
He’s pleasantly surprised when she chuckles and says, “I don’t know how it is that you know half the things you know, but I’m glad you do.”
Spencer feels insecure when he speaks again, but he has to know the answer, “Do you think it’s why I can’t get a date?” He looks up at her now, waiting for the brutal blow, which is her answer.
Elle looks slightly amused. “You ever ask anyone out?” She smiles a little, seeing the genius look genuinely dumbfounded for a second as he thinks about it.
He never had the confidence to walk up to someone he found attractive and say something interesting enough to warrant a ‘yes’ if he asked them on a date. “No,”
She gives him a slight shrug of her shoulders, “That’s why you can't get a date.” And Spencer seems to nod at that, and his lips tighten for a second as he nods before he looks away from her again. His focus is pulled back to the case when the UnSub calls, and for a little while, he feels better.
On the flight home, he’s almost completely forgotten about his spiral as he plays chess with Gideon. When he hands Spencer a small present, a little smile plays on his lips as he says, “But you don’t give birthday presents.” When he finally gets the present open, he feels a little confused as he thanks Gideon for the generous gift– two VIP box seat Redskin tickets.
He’s excited, nonetheless, to experience something new with Gideon, and Spencer believes him when he says that Spencer will love it.
“We are. You’re coming with me, right?” Spencer asks with a slight grin.
Gideon smiles, “No.” he doesn’t let Spencer’s confusion build for long as he quickly adds, “Someone else on the plane is a huge skins fan.”
“Who?”
“Only person in the world who calls you Spence.”
Speaking of the only person in the world that calls him Spence, the date was going terribly. She had invited Penelope; she thought it was a group thing. He begged Hotch and Gideon for some pointers, anything. They reminded him she was already his friend, but that wasn’t very helpful. He knew how to talk to her on a typical day. On a date? Not so much.
Then, she invited Penelope. Now he’s stuck on a date where only one person in the group knows it was supposed to be a date, and he feels nauseous. He’s trying to keep a conversation going, but every time it picks up for a second, he feels himself fumble the metaphorical ball, and it dies again.
Eventually, he excuses himself to get some air. He’s debating calling Gideon and updating him on how it’s going. His feet pace on the concrete stadium floor. He’s near the elevators, and he can barely hear himself– it’s auditory overload hell. He shuts his eyes tight, stuffing his phone back into his pocket as he covers his ears, leaning against the cool wall beside the elevators.
It’s all muffled, barely helping, but the feeling of the cool wall on his back through his clothes helps relax him slightly. His shoulders relax briefly before he feels two fingers lightly tapping his shoulders, and he’s rigid again.
Rigid until his eyes snap open to see that it’s you. You from the bookstore, with that same kind smile, same dazzling smile, it is you. You’re yelling over the shouting, but he can barely hear you. You laugh. He can only tell by your facial expression as all the sound falls deaf to his ears over the crowd's yelling.
Once it calms down, you repeat yourself, “Are you alright?”
He nods, then you’re giving him a skeptical look, and he slowly shakes his head.
“Is it the noise?”
A part of him wants to tell you that it’s everything he is experiencing today, but instead, he whispers a soft “Yes.”
You twist your lips to the side, looking upset for him. Your empathy is so sweet and pure for him that he feels the knot in his chest unraveling slowly. “Let me buy you a water?” You offer, motioning to a concession stand a few steps away.
He doesn’t remember saying yes, but you’re grinning as you walk with him to the stand and buy the two of you a bottle. After a sip or two, you say, “I’m not the biggest fan of football games either. My dad loves em’.”
He nods along silently, feeling so socially overwhelmed that he barely has the energy for more conversation. You seem happy to fill the gap: “I ran into you at that bookstore on 8th, right?”
Spencer’s beaming as he pulls the bottle away from his lips, nodding, speaking for the first time in a while. “Yes.”
You let out a happy hum, “Small world,” And Spencer agrees with you silently.
It's the most comfortable he’s felt all week, and he wonders if maybe this failed date of his was a strange blessing in disguise. He’s about to ask for your name when Penelope approaches the two of you, blinking starstruck at Spencer and you as she introduces herself when the crowd begins to cheer again. Any noise he can hear is drowned out, frowning as you shake Penelope’s hand and say your name– a name he cannot hear. Some more words follow, but it's all small talk until you excuse yourself to return to your father in the stands.
Then he’s the one being dragged away from you, convinced once more that he’ll never see his pretty stranger ever again.
Third Meeting
It’s the night before Halloween. Ask anyone who knows Spencer; they will tell you he genuinely loves Halloween. It’s a part of him, always has been. He likes that you can dress up as anyone you want to be without judgment. He loves the build-up, the history, and the scents that fill the air.
So, when he manages to get the night off, he’s quick to try and convince someone from the team to head over to a cemetery not too far from headquarters. Even when he explains how it is for a classic horror movie showing on the graveyard’s lands, everyone declines.
Now, he’s setting up an oversized quilt on the soft grass, smoothing out the edges of the oversized quilt with his hands before sitting down on it. His hands move to his bag, pulling out a few of his favorite snacks, drinks, and so on as he watches the cemetery slowly fill up with people.
He’s happy. He feels a little strange at the thought, but he’s happy– even if it is in the middle of a cemetery.
A gentle voice cuts through the soft quiet of the graveyard, “I knew I was going to run into you sooner or later,”
He turns his head to look at you, picnic basket and blanket in hand. You smile down at him. He trips over himself as he stands, his cheeks flushing as you laugh at the sight. He rubs his suddenly sweating hands on his button-up as he reluctantly offers you his hand to shake, only to realize that you don’t have a hand available.
“Can I—” he says softly, “Would it be alright if I—" he swallows hard, his voice cracking lightly. Do you need help with your things?”
You glance down at your hands, smiling slightly as you shake your head politely. “I’m sure I can find a good spot soon. I didn’t mean to disturb you.”
“You’re not, honest. I’m, uh, I’m here alone, and it doesn’t start for another fifteen minutes.” You silently debate his offer, and then Spencer feels a wave of confidence surge through him, “You can always sit with me if you’d like. I promise I’ll try to be quiet.”
You seem to think that’s funny as you nod, “Well, it is a silent film.”
“You don’t have to say yes. I just have a big blanket, and I’m in a good spot to see the screen and–”
“I’ll sit with you,” You cut him off softly, bending down to gently get the picnic basket on the edge of his quilt. Spencer moves out of your way, awkwardly shuffling for a second before he decides this might be a good time to introduce himself.
“I’m Spencer.”
You glance up at him as you move to sit on the blanket, smiling as you tell him your name. He licks his lips nervously, nodding as he sits beside you. His nervous eyes dance over your figure as you set your blanket, which he now sees has little cartoon ghosts all over it, to the side of your basket.
You’re frowning slightly as you reach into the basket, pulling out a small cup of jello and a spoon. “I’m sorry. If I had known I was sharing a blanket with someone, I would have brought another cup.”
Spencer finds it funny as he leans over to his satchel and pulls out his own cup of jello and spoon, “No need,”
You laugh lightly as you raise your jello cup to his. “Cheers, then. " Spencer smiles lightly as the two of you tap the edges together for a moment before falling into a comfortable silence while eating jello.
Spencer’s spoon digs into the jello, and he asks, “Is this your first time seeing Nosferatu ?”
You let out a soft hum as you pull your spoon out of your mouth and quickly nod, “Yes!” You say after swallowing, “What about you?”
“Third.”
“Didn’t remember it well enough the first two times?”
He lets out a shy laugh at that— it feels strange for someone to be unaware of his eidetic memory, and he wonders how long that’ll last. “Not exactly. I guess just like Halloween.”
“A man of good taste,” You quip back softly, taking a smiling bite of jello.
Spencer laughs as his eyes watch your lips close around your spoon before he pulls them away to look into your eye, hoping you don’t notice as he stutters lightly. “That’s debatable.”
You’re looking down at your half-eaten Jello cup. “I’m the judge here. I deem it a fact that you are a man of good taste. You’re wearing a cardigan. That’s how the judicial system works, don’t you know?” You look back at him with a smirk, and Spencer can’t help the chortle that escapes his throat.
“That is not how the United States judicial system works, but thank you.”
“Yeah, you look like someone who would know all the inner workings of the judicial system.”
Spencer can feel his cheeks getting red at how your voice sounds—teasing and a little flirty. Oh my god, were you flirting with him? He’s sure he’s all smiles and red cheeks as he looks at you, changing the topic. “None of your friends wanted to come with you tonight?”
“No, not their scene. It’s okay, though. I’m making a new friend right now.”
Spencer’s finishing off his Jello as he steals a glance at you again, stars in his eyes. “You don’t even know me.”
“Sure I do. Your name is Spencer. You like jello, nonfiction, Halloween, and dressing like a teacher’s assistant.”
Spencer doesn’t want to say you’re wrong, even though he knows you’re just being nice, but he doesn’t want to spend another week without seeing you. He wants to be your friend— he’ll be anything you want him to be. “Could I–” He licks his lips, eyes searching yours nervously.
You watch him carefully, tilting your head to the side as you look into his brown eyes. The sun is gone now, but the rising moon is shining down on him. He seems so… gentle, like a deer in a quiet forest. A part of you just wants to scoop him up and bring him home with you, as inappropriate as that is.
“You wouldn’t have to– It’s alright if you say no. I was just thinking I could give you my number sometime, maybe.” He manages with a gentle huff of air.
You nod a little, “Sometime, maybe.” You repeat with a slight grin forming on your lips. Out of the corner of your eye, you can see the projector starting to play the movie, and a hush falls over the cemetery’s lawn.
Spencer’s voice is a little too loud as he rushes to say, “I mean, now. Would it be alright if I–” A shush cuts him off, and his back straightens quickly as he shuts his mouth. His eyes meet yours for a second before darting over to the projection.
You’re watching him again, how he’s staring at the screen like his life depends on it. You scoot closer to him, grabbing your folded-up blanket in the process. Once you reach his side, you drape the folded blanket around his shoulders carefully before doing the same to your own.
His fingers gingerly grab one of the blanket's edges, casting you an apologetic glance for a second as your pants graze against his. You seem unbothered as you lean toward him. “I would love your number after this, " you whisper, looking up into his doe-like eyes before turning your head to watch the film.
He’s beaming now as he stares at you, and his chest tightens slightly when you lean close to him again. You’re so close he can smell your perfume, the scent tangling with the sweet smell of crisp fall air. “You like costume parties?” Your voice is barely audible.
He signals that he does silently, his head moving up and down quickly. The sight makes you grin as you mouth a silent, ‘Perfect’ at him before your attention is fully pulled back to the movie.
Spencer feels warm all over for the rest of the night, and three months from now, he’ll start to believe three is a lucky number as he picks you up for your third date with him and just how perfect everything feels when he kisses you.

Dating Gloria Pritchett would include
Sfw and nsfw headcannons (no one asked for this but I’m in love with Gloria so)
Shopping days together! She loves spoiling her princessa! You both love to buy clothes for each other as well
As y’all know I’m a bottom so…I definitely envision Gloria as a top in and outside the bedroom. You could be a stay at home step mom to Manny if you want to or you could get a job either way you know she’s in charge
You guys hang out with Cam and Mitch a lot because gays get along with gays
Going to fancy restaurants in LA for date nights
She loves to make you smile all the time she thinks it’s the cutest thing so she’ll purposely say and do things that make you laugh
I feel like y’all would love to go to theme parks together. Like Disneyland, Universal, SeaWorld, Knotts, etc.
As I said above you are technically Manny’s step mom and he loves you! The two of you get along great! Gloria is happy that he’s very accepting about your guys’ relationship
In my AU Gloria and Jay separated BUT they’re still very good friends and you guys are still considered part of the family
She met you at a yoga class because she was thinking of trying yoga and mindfulness activities and you happened to be in the class
She was struck by your beauty and the way you did each pose so perfectly. And the fact you were flexible she totally didn’t think anything inappropriate or anything
Hailey likes to hang out with you guys and stay over for girls sleepover nights. Sometimes Alex joins too but she’s much too interested in her studies. The three of you do makeup and watch chick flicks while you gossip
Gloria’s love language is gift giving and physical touch. She’s always holding your hand or has her arm around your shoulders. She also loves to spoil you with gifts even if they’re small
Nsfw
You definitely call her mommy
She likes to use her fingers but she also likes to use her strap as well
She loves when you eat her out while she sits in a chair all powerful looking
One of the gifts she gives you a lot is lingerie because she loves seeing you in different materials and colors she thinks it’s so pretty
She wears lingerie for you, too. Sometimes you guys match
Sometimes she teases you in public and waits till you guys get home to do anything about it
But sometimes you tease her too. To the point where she’ll drag you to the nearest bathroom and have her way with you
Gloria speaks her native language during sex sometimes and it’s really hot
Speaking of teasing, she loves to edge you with a vibrator it’s her favorite thing especially if you’re being a brat
And of course, if you don’t want to do anything then let her know she takes no for an answer (like most people should)

txt - how they propose
a/n: I got inspo to write this when dates dropped for the tour! i am not officialy in posession of a pre-sale code and im hoping to get some good tickets!! i will come back with an update (LA moa's lets talk :) anyways, please enjoy! this piece was meant to be really sweet and even silly at times so please let me know what you think of it! as always, inbox is open.
yeonjun
at a fancy dinner
yeonjun is really excited when it comes to fancy, romantic outings but this one was going to be the best one of all. Of course, that’s because of his proposal plans. He is definitely the kind of guy that sort of spoils it or gives hints because he tells you to go out and get your nails, hair, etc… done. especially emphasizes getting your nails done. He covers it up by saying he loves seeing you all pretty and pampered but deep down, you sort of know what he’s hinting at. Anyways, moving on to dinner. He takes you to a fancy new restaurant that just opened in the city. It was on the top floor of some fancy building. There was a view of the city from where you both were seated at a small booth. He was sitting right next to you and talking your ear off about the day he’d had at work. He didn;t even drink, opting to let you order a drink so he can drive home. He buys you whatever you want to eat and watches you enjoy your food with those adorable, lovesick eyes. You whine at him to stop watching you but he says he can’t help but watch the love of his life. Eventually, he takes you out onto the patio of this restaurant and it was pretty empty since there were only a few more couples around. He takes in the view with you and asks you to take a cute video with him. He sets up his phone at a good angle and presses the record. He goes back to you and kisses your cheek. He takes your distraction as an opportunity to pull the ring out of his pants pocket and when he pulls away, he gets down on one knee and proposes. “Will you do me the biggest favor ever and be my Mrs. Choi?”
soobin
at home
Soobin was never one for big romantic gestures and he was happy that you were okay with it. His ideal date was at home, snuggled up on the couch or in a pillow fort, watching movies or playing video games together. sure, he did take you on little outings once in a while but he preferred staying home. When it came to his proposal plans, his logic was to stay home, plan and cook a little dinner and use all the extra money to buy you the prettiest ring he could find. He loved the whole ring shopping process “i know this probably isn't from some of the members. anyways, he tells you of his date plans for the night and you were into it. He tells you to dress normally with one of his hoodies and your favorite sweatpants or leggings (soobin loves your legs in leggings btw. he said so). you come in and he is dressed relaxed as well in those gray sweats you liked and a t-shirt you gave him as part of his birthday gift. He serves your dinners and then he takes you to his bed, getting comfortable together. after one episode of that new anime the both of you had started, he turns over to get something from his nightstand. he shuffles to sit on his knees and reveals the box to you, opening it shortly after. "i know this probably isn't the best proposal but we’ve had such a nice night. I love spending time at home with you. can we be homebodies together, forever?'' You nod and hug him super tight and he returns the hog. He gives you a sweet kiss after putting the ring on your finger and you two go back to watching your show and cuddling.
beomgyu
theme / amusement park
This man is so cute when it comes to a proposal. Let’s just say for the sake of this story that he takes you on an LA trip and you both have a knotts berry farm day! You two decided to skip out on disney because you two have already been together on a previous trip. You both also really wanted to see all of the snoopy memorabilia. You both have an amazing day getting on rides, drinking boysenberry juice and talking to each other the whole time. He loves seeing you so happy so he never says no to you not once that whole day. He lets you drag him to all of the performances happening at the park and even lets you take a picture of him with Snoopy, making finger guns at one another. As the day starts to wind down, you both decided to go souvenir shopping. Huening specifically requested a snoopy t-shirt so you both went to find him one. Beomgyu asks you to pick the t-shirt and he stays behind to find a snoopy plush to include in his proposal. He finds one and pays for it, as well as the requested souvenir you picked. He takes you back out to the park and you both take a seat to rest for a while before leaving the park. You take out your phone and dont notice when he turns around. He takes the plush out of the store bag and the ring out of his bag. He puts it in the plushies hand and turns back around. He taps your shoulder and you are met with a snoopy with an engagement ring in his hand. “Will you marry me, pretty lady?” he says in a high pitched voice and you gasp so loud that people turn around to look. You are absolutely red but you nod and beomgyu makes the plush put the ring on your finger. You call him a dork but he doesn't mind. He's your dork, forever.
taehyun
at the beach
you and taehyun went to the beach often. it was always so quiet, especially when you two visited at night. These outings were frequent, especially when you both went to travel somewhere different. In this case though, you were both home in Korean. Taehyun was on a small break during the summer time before their next tour and he decided that now was as good as ever to propose. He drove the both of you to your favorite beach at around 8pm. On the way there, you both made stops to get dinner and then to pick up some snacks to enjoy while hanging out at the beach. Once you both get there, Taehyun sets up your beach blanket and you both sit down, starting to snack on some grapes. Taehyun took about 30 minutes before he decided to ask you. He scoots close to you and pulls the little box out of his bag. you give him a confused look and he opens it, looking at your shocked reaction. He wanted to give a whole speech but his words got stuck in his throat when he saw your reaction. you say yes to him and he hugs you, slipping the ring on after.
huening kai
in your hometown / family dinner
I think kai is really big when it comes to family so having your family present for such a big event was important for him. Not only that, it was also really important for him to get along with your family and have their approval. So, during this trip to your hometown over a winter break, he sends you off to go shopping with your close cousin/sibling. He takes this opportunity to gather the rest of your family and ask for their approval to propose to you and of course they say yes! They even help him plan a whole thing. They were excited to see that he loved you a lot and cared enough to ask for their opinions and approval. This especially swayed your parents, who came up to him after and had a little chat with him about what they’d do if he ever hurt you. Moving on….you come back home from shopping and you show kai all your finds! Later on that night, your family is all gathered together in the backyard around a bonfire, having drinks and chatting. After a little while, your family gives kai strange looks and you’re sitting there absolutely confused. Kai looked over at you and smiled, “hey baby. I wanna ask you something. Will you do me a big honor and marry me?” he pulls out the ring and as soon as you say yes, he slips it on your finger and everyone cheers!

Put It On me || Harrison Knott
A/N: I haven’t written smut in a while so please give me some grace. If you like it please let me know!
Warnings: It’s smut. It’s public but no one is around.
W.C: 2.7+
Summary: You weren’t expecting Harrison to remember your interest in this song. Especially not in this moment.
You had moved to California two months ago and only recently met Harrison through his sister a month ago. When you had first wandered into Lost & Found with your friend you knew that her brother worked there. You hadn’t expected the immediate spark that sizzled in the air when you were left alone with him as Chloe browsed through the store.
“It’s an empty cassette,” Harrison had answered when you asked what it was that he was fiddling with in between helping customers. “I’m waiting for the right songs to put on it.”
“You know you can just download Spotify or something write?” You teased him as you gently took the tape out of his hands and looked it over.
You had only ever seen cassette players in your parent's attic or at record shops. You had no idea people still made mixtapes.
You didn’t try to stop the smile of endearment at the thought of the attractive boy in front of you making a mixtape.
He snatched it back from you playfully as a new song came over the speakers in the store. It took you a second to place it. For the past hour you’ve been in here waiting around for your friend and pestering her brother, every song has been calm. Songs that you could listen to and lose yourself to as you sat on the beach.
You couldn’t name those other songs, but you did know this one. Put It On Me by Matt Maeson, is not a song that you would have expected to play in here but one that left a smirk on your lips.
“This is the first song I’ve seen you react to since you came in here,” his blue eyes on your face felt more intense than they were a second ago and you could feel your cheeks heat up a bit. “You like this song?”
You couldn’t meet his eyes. You only knew him for less than two hours and somehow his blue eyes swam with mirth and something darker and more intense.
“Of course I do. Haven’t you listened to it?” You asked, looking up from the counter and scanning the store for your friend, trying your best to not look back at Harrison. Without looking at him you said somewhat shyly, “I don’t know if it’s a song I’d play in a public store, though.”
The man hummed and when you didn’t look back at him he finally said, his voice deeper and rasper but his smile still present. “Where do you think this song should be played then?”
It took you a second but when you looked back at him, you paused. Your mouth was dry and you knew you looked flustered under all of his attention. Thankfully before the silence stretched too long, Chloe came rushing back up the front declaring that she couldn’t find what she wanted and that the two of you should stop at the new coffee shop before heading back to your shared apartment.
You only nodded and pulled your bag up higher on your shoulder. You were about to say your goodbyes to Harrison before he jumped in before you could, “actually, your friend was about to give me her phone number.”
You raised your eyebrow at him and he only smiled devilishly at you and handed you a pen from behind the cash register. When you looked for a piece of scrap paper, Harrison slid the empty cassette player over to you and tapped the front for you to put your number.
You ignored your squealing best friend as you did and only let out the breath you didn’t know you were holding when you finally returned the pen and walked out of the record store.
You couldn’t help yourself, you had to have one more look so quickly you turned back to see if you could see Harrison from where you were walking away with Chloe only to see him already looking at you. When he caught your eye, he winked playfully and waved your phone number as a reminder that he would be calling you.
That chance meeting (or set up if the mischievous twinkle in her eyes told you anything) had only happened two weeks ago and already you had spent most of your time with Harrison. If you weren’t with him physically then you were talking on the phone and if you couldn’t do either you were thinking about being with him.
It made you giggle like a child with a schoolyard crush but you couldn’t deny that you were down bad for him already.
Harrison seemed unlike most of the men and general people you had gotten to know since moving to California. He loved to surf and he loved music but it didn’t feel fake or like it was for show. You could tell by the way he talked about music that he loved it. It didn’t matter the genre, the singer, or the decade. He always had an opinion on it and if he didn’t he would listen until he did.
I’m such a short amount of time you felt like you had gotten to know him better than most people you had known for years.
Still, over the past two weeks and the handful of times the two of you went out nothing went further than a kiss. Chaste at first but this last time after he dropped you off at your apartment the way he held the back of your neck and your waist in a strong grip to hold you tighter as his tongue finally danced its way into your mouth left you hot under the collar. At that moment you wanted nothing more than to drag him upstairs to your bedroom and not let him leave until you were both spent. Tired, spent, sweaty and giddy.
So when he finally pulled away, you hadn’t thought twice before grabbing onto his blue t-shirt and trying to pull him back to you. His laugh was low and charming and if you stood there any longer you could have sworn that you would have melted right there.
Harrison grabbed your hand that was fisted in his shirt and brought it to his lips and kissed your knuckles. Never letting his baby blue eyes leave yours.
“My sister’s home. I just saw the bedroom light flicker and I don’t think it would be a good idea for me to come in tonight with her here.” He said. You could tell he was trying to calm you down but it was clear that he was just as riled up as you.
“We don’t have to do anything.” You said. You knew it was a lie and so did he. He leaned in again to nuzzle your cheek and kiss your jaw. “We could just hang out”
He kissed the beating pulse on your neck before pulling away. “I promise you, if I move one step closer to that door I won’t be able to just “hang out””
You kissed him once more and nodded. Accepting that things wouldn’t be going further tonight.
“Tomorrow,” he said, as he finally backed away. “I’ll take you to the cliffs by the ocean at sunset. Just me and you and the waves.”
You smiled happily, not thinking about how your fingers grazed where his lips touched your neck. “Tomorrow.”
Sitting on the roof of Harrison’s car overlooking the crashing waves was picturesque, to say the least. Even after settling down here you still hadn’t made the time to really take in your new surroundings.
The way that the sunset over the waves and the warm breeze that blew your hair gently felt like Heaven. It all came together when you remembered the man lounging beside you and the sounds of the song playing from inside the car.
and I fall to pieces (Bitch)
I fall to pieces when I’m with you
(Why?)
Cause I love you so much
I fall to pieces
My cherries and wine
It felt like something out of a film.
When you finally pulled your eyes away from the water to look down at Harrison who had his face angled up to the sky, showing off the scruff on his chin and neck. You bit your lip to stop yourself from leaning in to place kisses on his neck and jaw.
“You enjoying the view?” Harrison questioned quietly.
You knew that he wasn’t talking about the oceans or the rocks. He knew you were looking at him and you couldn’t deny it. He was handsome and hard to take your eyes off of. He was kind and funny and had a good taste in music. He was intoxicating and in this moment there was nothing more that you wanted than him.
You hummed I’m agreement and when a slow smile spread across his face you couldn’t stop yourself. With his eyes still closed, you leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips before murmuring against them, “The best view in all of California.”
When you pulled away his eyes opened and you were met with his blue eyes. Dark with what you could only define as lust.
He didn’t say anything as he looked around to make sure that the two of you were completely alone. You watched as he slid off of the roof of his car.
“Stay there for a second,” he called as he jogged to the driver’s side door and rummaged around until he found what he was looking for. Harrison was already back and grabbing your ankles, causing you to giggle, to pull you to the edge of the car roof as a different song started to play from the radio.
You didn’t have a second to process the lyrics or the song as his lips connected with yours. The kiss was hard and desperate and full of need and when he finally pulled away, you were breathless.
“We’re finally alone,” you said quietly and you were surprised that he heard you over the waves of the ocean.
His large hands slid up your thighs and under your dress slowly as he kissed your collarbone and smirked before saying, “That we are.”
You couldn’t think of anything else to say. You didn’t really want to say anything else, you just wanted to feel Harrison’s lips on yours and his hands on your body. He must have felt the same because, with a small nip to your bottom lip, he slid his tongue into your mouth.
Between the grip he had on your thighs and the way his tongue played with yours and licked into your mouth, you felt like a gourmet meal that he was tasting.
The whine that left your lips when he pulled away wasn’t something you were aware of until you saw him smile and then kiss your nose softly.
“Lay back for me,” his tone was firm and gentle at the same time. Your heart was racing and you could feel the dampness pooling in your panties as you did as he said.
Thankfully, you decided to wear a dress tonight because it made it easy for Harrison to pull your underwear down your thighs and put them in his back pocket. You would blush if you could but you were sure at this point you couldn’t turn any more red.
His eyes never left yours as he grabbed your thighs and spread them wide, putting your wet cunt on full display for him. You closed your eyes and tried to control your breathing. You knew you wanted this for a minute now and now that it was finally happening it felt overwhelming.
You bite the inside of your cheek and listen to the waves and the familiar song playing and Harrison kisses the inside of your thigh. The softness of your skin and the roughness of his stubble made you squirm in the best way.
Then, nothing.
You were certain that you might have given yourself whiplash as you whipped your head up to look at him. He chuckled at your reaction before saying softly but loud enough for you to hear him clearly, “I’m just making sure that you want to do this.”
Barely a second passed before you nodded your head enthusiastically, “God, you have no idea how much I want this Harrison.”
“That’s all I needed to hear, baby.” With those words he dragged his middle finger through your slit, collecting the wetness that was there before pushing his digit in.
You sighed in relief and dropped your head back down. Forgetting that you were on the roof of a car for a second and rubbing where you hit your head. Harrison laughed and gave you an inquisitive look before you confirmed you were fine.
Believing you he dropped his own head down and pressed kisses across your waist and your thighs as he flexed his finger inside of you. Almost as if he could read your mind he slipped another digit into you and he nipped gently at your thigh.
The feeling in your core was no longer relief. Tension was building and you needed him. Needed more of him.
You tugged on his t-shirt and whined his name. “Harrison, please fuck me.”
You felt a stuttered breath across your stomach and a falter in his strong fingers at your words.
“Baby, trust me, I want nothing more than to spread those pretty legs of yours further and make you take my cock but I didn’t bring a condom and I want to hear how you sound as you cum before I ever bury myself in you.”
His words made you groan and buck your hips. Just the thought of him fucking you was enough to bring you closer. You had to remember to buy a box of condoms tomorrow because after this Harrison was going to have to call into work for at least a week.
Just as his fingers found that sweet spongy spot in you, that was the moment that Harrison finally put his mouth on you. He licked the wetness on your folds before wrapping his lips around your clit.
He ate your cunt like he kissed. Desperately and like there was nothing else he wanted to do.
Your hands found their way into his sandy brown hair and held tightly and you ground your hips against his face. His moans and groans vibrating against your most sensitive parts were enough to make you moan louder than any wave that was crashing against the rocks below. You couldn’t hold back anymore.
The tension inside you just kept building and when Harrison wrapped his free arm around your thigh and pulled you closer to him, as if you weren’t close enough. You came with a loud moan. Twitching under him and pulling his hair until you could compose yourself enough.
At some point during your orgasm, you must have closed your eyes because when you opened them again, Harrison was standing straight again with a cocky smirk and he wiped his mouth of your juices off with his fingers only for him to stick them back in his mouth and groan.
“You taste divine,” his words were closer to a growl than anything and when he leaned in to kiss you, he flicked his tongue against yours so you could taste yourself. It was obscene and downright delectable.
It took you both a moment to collect yourselves and when you saw the time on his watch you knew that there was no more time for fun because it was late, later than you two usually stayed out and you both had work tomorrow.
When you slipped back into his car after trying and failing to get him to give you your panties back you finally put your seatbelt on and played with the radio while he started the car and pulled off.
It was only after you realized he had a cassette tape in that you thought to press eject and see which one it was. You must have looked surprised when you looked down and saw your phone number and inside the song written down ‘Put It on Me’ by Matt Maeson.
“You didn’t think I forgot the first song you introduced me to did you?” Harrison laughed, “And trust me that song that was playing before is definitely going on here too.”
You laughed lightly and put it in his center console.
“So what I’m hearing is that you plan on making a sex mixtape.”
“That’s exactly what I’m doing.”

The Little Things They Do When Dating You
Contains: ✰ Robert “Bob” Floyd, Rhett Abbott, Miles Miller, and Harrison Knott. Warnings: Food mentions. Miles is implied to be living in the present day. Don't bite me for it 😅
✧˖° Robert “Bob” Floyd
♦ Associates you with a particular animal. If you don't already have a critter in mind, then he will not rest until he's assigned you one. Comes home from deployments with figurines, plushies and other things related to that animal ♦ Shamelessly makes puns just to get a rise out of you.
♦ Loves, loves, loves to settle down on the couch with you and read in silence together. Feet tangled under the same blanket, wrapped up in your own little stories. ♦ When he goes on deployments, he likes to do this thing where you read the same book series and discuss it when he comes back. Also likes to swap books! What you read while he was gone will be what he reads when he comes back, and vice versa 😊 ♦ Before he leaves, he writes you a series of letters and hides them in places that he knows will take you a while to find. It's his little way of loving on you, even while he's gone. ♦ Can't resist spoiling you every chance he gets. Sweet treats, jewelry, little things he caught you looking at while walking through town. If you want it, you've got it. ♦ Lays on top of you when he's trying to get you to slow down. Some days, you just forget how to take it easy, and this is the only way he knows how to calm your nerves. ♦ Has so many inside jokes with you. Conversations can very easily fall into secret code that nobody else can understand. ♦ Lays down on the couch and encourages you to lay on top of him while watching movies together. Sneaks his hand beneath your shirt and rubs invisible shapes into your skin. ♦ Is surprisingly clever when it comes to bickering with you. It's so hard to come up with something to say when he's got you laughing.
✧˖° Rhett Abbott
♦ Nuzzles your noses together when you cuddle. ♦ Isn't afraid to try the things you enjoy, regardless of how 'feminine' it might be. He wants to understand the feeling you get out of it. Lets you paint his nails, put makeup on him, pick his outfit for the day, put him in skirts. There was one instance where he asked you to teach him how to shave his legs because he wanted to know what it felt like. ♦ Quietly follows you around on your shopping trips, only speaking up when he sees something you're looking for or if he thinks you might like it. ♦ He's gone from not knowing how to share a bed at night to not being able to sleep without you. If you leave town, then he's pretty much guaranteed to sleep terribly. He can't help it. There's something so comforting about having you there with him. ♦ Hugs you from behind and rests his chin on your shoulder whenever you're standing somewhere. Concession lines, watching the rodeo, in the kitchen. ♦ Gave you one of his old buckles to wear because he'd heard you say that you wanted to match him. It's ridiculously large, but there's something about prancing around rodeos with an Abbott buckle that makes your heart flutter. ♦ Kisses and traces the indents that his buckle has left on your skin. ♦ Switched his workout routine because you love his chest and biceps. He hates taking pictures of himself, but he's gotten into a habit of taking the occasional photo that flatters his chest just to get a rise out of you. ♦ He doesn't know a damn thing about dancing, but he'll spin you 'round and 'round in front of his truck headlights or the refrigerator lights. ♦ Refuses to let you stay in those trashy motel rooms that he usually resigns himself to when he's traveling to rodeos alone. It might be okay for him but for you? He'll spend the extra dollar to make sure you're as comfortable as possible. ♦ Gets red in the ears when you show him off to your friends and family. He's never been with someone who was proud to call him theirs before, never mind introducing him to those they care about.
✧˖° Miles Miller
♦ He loooves to use emoticons. There's the occasional emoji, but it's primarily things like: ^-^ :D :) :v >.< ^w^ ♦ Cannot pick a good movie to save his life. Cute pet movie? The dog died in the end. Camping film? It was actually a horror. That movie with the snow on the cover? Surprise cannibalism! The romance film? The love interest died in the end. Please save him. ♦ Trips over his own words when he's trying to describe something he likes about you, or even when he's saying 'I love you' in general. He's got so many feelings, and he just doesn't know what to do with them all! ♦ His smaller, lanky stature often tricks you into forgetting how protective he can be. A guy tried to smack your ass once, and Miles had him by the wrist before the hit even landed. Puts himself between you and whoever is bothering you. Doesn't say a whole lot, but it's often enough to ward folks off. ♦ He traces your facial features when he thinks you're asleep. Most of the time, you've secretly been awake, fighting the urge to smile when it starts to tickle. ♦ Cries when you do big things for him. Once, you surprised him with a birthday party, and the poor thing was so happy that he burst into tears. It took him ten minutes to blow out the candles because he just kept sniffling. ♦ He keeps buying matching pairs of socks to wear together. His heart can't handle the idea of matching outfits, but socks? Socks are fun for him. If he catches you wearing a pair of yours, then he'll go and find his to wear, too. ♦ He thinks everything you've ever done is amazing. You can be folding laundry, and he'll be mesmerized. Tries to tell you as much, but he can hardly get the words out his mouth. ♦ Makes you desserts all the time. He's recently figured out how to bake, and he just can't resist bringing you little sweet treats. ♦ Talks about you in his sleep. Most of the time, it doesn't make any sense, but then you'll catch little murmurings of how pretty he thinks you are and how much he loved this one thing you did for him.
✧˖° Harrison Knott
♦ Loves to hold your hand. On the days when it's too hot for that, he likes to link your fingers instead ♦ Does not play around when it comes to you taking medication. You're finishing that prescription whether you still have flu symptoms or not! ♦ You can't pay him back for anything. You may think that you've gotten away with putting that $10 bill in his wallet, but you have yet to realize that he's already taken it out and put it on top of your fridge. ♦ Massages the tension from your shoulders whenever he notices you're stressed out, then settles between your legs and fucks you nice and slow, just for extra measure. ♦ Ever since he found out that you couldn't get enough of his body, he's doubled down on his workout and diet routines. Fitness has never taken a huge priority for him, but he's in love with the feeling of your eyes raking up and down his body, hands greedily squeezing at his muscles. ♦ Picks you up and carries you around the house because "what's the point of working out if I can't carry you whenever I feel like it?" ♦ Bounces his leg when you're sitting in his lap. ♦ Makes you custom playlists for every occasion and gets so smiley when you make one for him, too. ♦ Tricks you into looking at something that isn't there, then kisses your nose when you turn to look back at him. ♦ He loves to take you down to the beach but hardly pays attention to the scenery because he's too busy paying attention to you instead. If you call him out on staring, he'll just nod his head and confirm that it's exactly what he's doing.

MO!!! We love drabble day!
“your eyes shine when you smile. I love it.” and goofily smiling in your very first kiss with Harrison? Pretty please? 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Not much would fix me, but one single kiss from Harrison Knott would! Enjoy my sweet Robyn!
Drabble Day
“You really should keep better track of your things,” you tease, flipping through a stack of records. You grab one and slot it in the back, messing up his meticulous organization system. One day he’ll figure out it’s not teenagers mixing up the vinyls, it’s you.
“I didn’t know I’d need my ID!” Harrison yells back, rifling through the cupboard he keeps his things in during a shift. He had hair on his chest, why was he being carded for a local band show?
The exasperated indignant noises he lets out make you giggle as you continue to mess up the vinyl filing. The shop is so different at night, illuminated only by the decades old lamp that Harrison flipped on when he unlocked the door. It gives the space a moody ambiance, the street lights twinkling like stars outside the window.
The back door slams and Harrison comes out, waving his ID like a Jeopardy prize. “Ready to go?”
“Finally,” you joke as he joins you by the door, the lamp illuminating the soft curl of his hair as you push his shoulder.
“You know, you’re pretty mouthy for someone who cries during the solo in Bohemian Rhapsody.”
A comeback is lost in your throat as you watch him laugh, bodies scrunched in the doorway as he fiddles with the key. A lifetime of friendship and suddenly he’s right there. You can’t help the dopey smile that overtakes your features at his beauty.
The street light stars reflect back on your faces, little pinpricks of light reflected in your eyes. Harrison traps his lip between his teeth, a flush working its way up his collar. “Your eyes shine when you smile. I love it.”
Your grin widens, giddy at the proximity. The intimacy. “You’re such a sap, Knott.”
His face is so close, and the nervous excitement below your skin has you laughing through a grin. You can see the sun-influenced freckles on the bridge of his nose as he leans in closer, the air stilling with anticipation.
It’s hard to tell who finally closes the space between you, your noses bumping when your heads don’t turn fast enough. Your goofy smile melting with his mouth, finally united after too many years.
When you finally arrive at the gig and join your friends, no one thinks twice about Harrison’s arm around your waist. Or the dark spot below your jaw he promises isn’t noticeable.

Chapter One
Characters: Robin Buckley & Chrissy Cunningham. Background Steve Harrington and Eddie Munson
Summary: Just a cute little coffee shop AU
Word Count: 1056
Warnings: None for this chapter
A/N: This story is very much a work in progress, I have almost no plan for it and so please keep this in mind when reading future chapters. The warning may appear as the plot develops.
The gentle hum of the coffee machine and the talk of customers over it allowed Robin to get too far into her head over the disaster of a date she had been on last night. Becky had been lovely enough but Robin wasn’t sure anything would come of it, something just wasn’t right between the two and she didn’t seem to appreciate Robin's sense of humour.
Steve had been lovely enough and had cut his nightly facetime with Eddie short when she turned up after it, bottle of wine in hand. He assured her that if someone was worth her time she wouldn’t need to hide any part of her. That ‘ her person’ wouldn’t cringe when she stumbled out of the door at the end of the date. She felt bad for interrupting his and Eddie’s evening given that Eddie was on tour and this was one of the few evenings he wasn’t on stage but it was an unwritten rule that Robin came first for Steve and the band came first for Eddie.
A jingle from the bell above the door pulled Robin out of her thoughts and she stepped towards the counter and looked up, into the most beautiful blueish grey eyes she had ever seen set into what only she could describe as the face of an angel with a halo of strawberry blonde hair.
“Wow,” She whispered, “Welcome to Bakin ‘n’ Robins, what can I get you this morning?” Robin asked finally, after what she was sure was too long of a pause.
“Erm can I just take a hazelnut latte with almond milk please? And maybe whatever your favourite from the bakery section is” the woman smiled and didn’t that just make her even more stunning..
“Sure, coming right up. It’ll be $6.70 when you’re ready, cash or card?” Robin said as she tapped it all in the till, she was so glad this was all muscle memory at this point because she was sure there wasn't currently a thought in her head aside from how gorgeous this woman was.
“Card please” The woman smiled again and tapped her card on the reader when Robin indicated.
“Take away or to sit in?” Robin remembered to ask before stepping away to make the order.
“I’ll sit in please, this seems like a super cute place to sit and read” she said, patting the book Robin had failed to notice in her arms.
“You go and find a seat, I’ll bring it over to you” Robin nodded towards the selection of tables they had.
“Table service too, thank you.” she giggled and walked away.
“Who was that?” A voice came from beside her as she started to make the coffee.
“Jesus Christ!” Robin quietly exclaimed, almost dropping the mug she was holding, “Do you need to sneak everywhere?”
“I literally dropped the opening on the counter so hard,” Steve, her partner in this coffee shop, laughed from beside her. “So, who is she?”
“I don’t know, I’ve never seen her before but she’s super pretty ok so I’m naturally going to do something like spill her drink all over her or drop her baked goods on the floor. Or even forget how to speak as I get there and just throw the whole tray at her and run” Robin started to ramble.
“Okay okay stop right now” Steve interrupted her, “You sort her the rest of her order and I’ll do the latte, I’ve got you sorted okay” he winked at her nudging her out of the way with his hip.
Less than 5 minutes later Robin was walking towards the blonde trying her best to hold the tray as steady as possible. She had found the biggest and freshest almond knott and Steve had made a heart with the milk on her latte, it was a perfectly solid heart too, he was just showing off now.
“Oh, thank you” The woman squeaked as Robin placed the tray down, it seemed to have pulled her from a deep thought. “This all looks wonderful” She grinned when she looked down and saw the latte.
“Enjoy” Robin smiled as she walked away.
“I can’t believe you did the heart!” She hissed as she got behind the counter again, smacking Steve lightly on the arm as she walked past him.
“Did she like it though?” he grinned “She watched you the whole time you walked back and she still keeps glancing over, I think you’re in there birdie. Anyway I need to start prep work on the pastry for the next batch of baked goods. Can you do the stocktake of the things behind here and I’ll get El and Max to do the stockroom tomorrow afternoon.”
“Sure, I’ll get that done and make sure it’s all okay for Dustin to come in to take over from me.” She replied.
“Thank you,” he said loudly as he walked from behind the counter and to the back where the kitchen was. His pride and joy, the reason he wanted this all along.
Robin spent the rest of the day thinking of the women from that morning. Trying to think if there had been any clues as to who she was or anything else about her.
“I’ve got a present for you,” Steve declared as he walked into her apartment one evening a few days later, before throwing a small package at her.
“Thanks,” She mumbled as she tried to catch it.
Opening it up she noticed it was a name badge, her name was written on it along with her pronouns and a tiny lesbian flag on it.
“Oh, this is so cute, thank you” She said as she launched herself at him.
“I’ve heard that the blonde from the other day has been back a couple more times, only ever getting take-away after looking around. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to let her know your name and that she’s got a chance. I’ve had them made up for all of us. I really liked the idea when I saw them ages ago and just kept putting it off. I felt like the pride flags around the place were enough to let people know we’re a safe space but you and this girl gave me the excuse I was looking for to get these” Steve shrugged.

i have been so CRAZY tired lately. I think I've just been very busy the past few months with going to Japan, last minute prepping for a con and going to knotts almost every weekend
I'M POOPED
And of course my car had yet another problem. It started rattling while accelerating so its in the shop now. Hopefully its nothing major bc I really can't afford to replace a whole damn thing again like when we had to replace the radiator.
But since I can't go anywhere this weekend (Atarashii Gakko are playing this weekend TTnTT) I'll try to wrap up that final commission and do some cleaning.
But first I'm gonna sleep. I fucking fell asleep TWICE in my chair today.
I was gonna sign up for the gym this weekend TTnTT
Also obvs like a lot of other people I'm moving to bluesky from twitter. I'll stick around until everything that that asshole has planned gets implimented but I might have to nuke the old account. I don't want to but at the very least I'm gonna have to nuke all the art on there which is frankly really a bummer. there's art there that i probably never put anywhere else and I hate the idea that I might not be able to see it again. But...also if I can't remember that its there then it doesn't matter LMAO

2024 Restaurant Resolution Tour, rated and reviewed!
In 2024 my sister @nocturnalheart and I resolved to try one new restaurant every month. Here's where we went, more or less in order:
Ikea - we tried the Swedish meatballs and chicken tenders, with lingonberry lemonade and a slice of cake for dessert. Food 5/10, lemonade and cake 10/10
Sandwich shop from downtown- we shared a Cubano sandwich and some fruit. 10/10, excellent sandwich and when the owner saw us sharing she gave us extra fruit!
Sandwich from inside the Mexican market- we shared a torta de carnitas from the food counter in one of our local markets. 4/10, we didn't like the cheese in the sandwich and the meat was dry :/ also people watched us struggle to open our glass bottle cokes and didn't even offer to help. I now carry a bottle opener with me for this reason lol
Old Spaghetti Factory- we had tapenade as an appetizer, various pasta dishes, and spumoni for dessert. 10/10 we enjoyed that meal so much, especially the tapenade!
Fair food- during our annual trip to the fair we decided to try a variety of food stalls, aside from our usual favorites. 5/10 most of the snacks were not memorable but we did enjoy a good pizza slice.
Win Wings- we had hot wings and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. 5/10 the wings were good but we didn't care for the sandwich.
Knott's Berry Farm- we had barbecue and some chicken tenders for lunch and ice cream for dessert. 6/10 we didn't think the food was outstanding but the ice cream was very good on a hot day :3
Bucca Di Beppo- we shared the meatball plate and some chicken carbonara. 6/10 the food was good but expensive tbh
Shakeshack- we had burgers and truffle fries. 7/10 the burgers were good and we both really liked the fries!
Tacos when we went camping- we stopped at a restaurant on our way home from Joshua tree and had some exceptionally good tacos. 9/10
Báhn mì- I went to a local place for some chicken and beef báhn mì sandwiches. 5/10, I liked the chicken better than the beef but my sister says it gave her a tummyache :( may have to try these again from a different restaurant.
Diner from downtown- I had a beef sandwich and my sister had a French toast plate. 5/10 the food was very overpriced :/ my sister says her french toast was atrociously soggy. I liked my sandwich, but it wasn't anything special. The pickle that came with it was good though lol
