Mech pilot system where there's three pilots???
One for the left hemisphere, one for the right hemisphere, and one for the cerebellum?
Like, you all still have to be drift compatible, you all still have to be in the cockpit together, but there's basically two thinkers and one translator.
Imagine that the mech designers fought this for years. Two humans every time with massive neural network loads on both the machine and the humans. Pilots could only be medically cleared to operate a machine for four years, max, and then their careers were over. Most didn't make it even that long.
And then someone figures out that if you put in another human to translate between the humans and mech, it flows so much smoother.
Two pilots in the front, the ones doing the strategy and the martial arts and the orders and the takedowns. A third in the back, suspended and all but fugue as they relay human-to-mech and mech-to-human, a person turned into a slave drive, but still tangled up into everybody's heads.
Like, imagine the possibilities?!
You walk into the chow hall and the people who are interested in the shiny new pilots want to know if you're a Leftie or a Migi or a Cera.
Lefties and Migis who spent too long in the cockpit that day who feel like they can't think clearly without that little voice in the back of their head whispering the answers.
Ceras who space out when the room gets loud, who accidentally expect someone else to say what they're thinking, who have nerve damage all across their bodies because it takes all they have to sort data.
Mechs who are older than the trio structure who had their cockpits gutted and refitted, who have spaghetti running up to the chunk of metal that is the third pilot's seat, like a spare part slapped into the room and given too much control.
A Cera who hangs out in the mech bay because the humans are too far from them anymore, but the mecha can't talk to them, either.
a Leftie who can't stand being in the same room as their Migi without the Cera to talk between them.
A Migi who barely knows how to be their own person anymore because so much of their brain is just outside of their reach.
A mech that just wants things to go back to the way they were, pain and lag be damned.

cut script bits + extended scene/acting notes from season 3's junkyard dog. because i want to make you guys cry <3 the scenes that made the final cut are already painful enough, but reading the actual notes of what vibes a scene is supposed to convey or what an actor's performance is supposed to be based around make it hit so much harder.
+ kitt upset that his mom seemingly left, and there's something about the specific description that michael closes the door softly that fucking floors me

By Courtney Mares
9 November 2024
For the first time in over a century, the historic Chair of St. Peter, a wooden throne symbolizing the pope’s magisterial authority, has been removed from its gilded bronze reliquary in St. Peter’s Basilica to be displayed for public veneration.
Pilgrims and visitors can now behold this storied relic directly in front of the basilica’s main altar, just above the tomb of St. Peter, where it will remain on display until December 8, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.
According to Pietro Zander, Head of the Necropolis and Artistic Heritage Section of the Vatican:
"The last major public viewing of the chair occurred in 1867, when Pope Pius IX exposed the Chair of Peter for the veneration of the faithful for 12 days on the 1,800th anniversary of the martyrdoms of St. Peter and St. Paul."
It was the first time that the centuries-old wooden throne had been exhibited to the public since 1666 when it was first encased within Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s monumental bronze sculpture under the stained-glass Dove of the Holy Spirit window at the basilica’s apse.
Formally known as the Cathedra Sancti Petri Apostoli, or more simply as Cathedra Petri, the chair has held a revered place in Catholic tradition over the centuries, representing papal authority from St. Peter to the present.
Tumblr media
“The chair is meant to be understood as the teacher’s ‘cathedra,’” art historian Elizabeth Lev told CNA.
“It symbolizes the pope’s duty to hand down the teaching of Christ from generation to generation.”
She explained:
“It’s antiquity [ninth century] speaks to a papacy that has endured through the ages — from St. Peter who governed a church on the run trying to evangelize with the might of the Roman Empire trying to shut him down, to the establishment of the Catholic Church and its setting down of roots in the Eternal City, to our 266th successor of St. Peter, Pope Francis.”
A Storied History
Tumblr media
The wooden chair itself is steeped in history.
According to the Vatican, the wooden seat was likely given by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles the Bald to Pope John VIII in A.D. 875 for the emperor’s Christmas coronation in the old St. Peter’s Basilica.
A depiction of the emperor appears on the crossbeam of the chair, and its ivory panels illustrate the labors of Hercules along with other scenes from Greek mythology.
The informational sign near the chair in St. Peter’s Basilica informs visitors that “shortly after the year 1000, the Cathedra Petri began to be venerated as a relic of the seat used by the apostle Peter when he preached the Gospel first in Antioch and then in Rome.”
The Fabric of St. Peter, the organization responsible for the basilica’s upkeep, maintains:
“It cannot be ruled out that this ninth-century imperial seat may have later incorporated the panel depicting the labors of Hercules, which perhaps originally belonged to an earlier and more ancient papal seat.”
Before returning the chair to its place within Bernini’s monumental reliquary, Vatican experts will conduct a series of diagnostic tests with the Vatican Museums’ Cabinet of Scientific Research.
The ancient seat was last removed and studied from 1969 to 1974 under Pope Paul VI but was not shown to the public.
The recent restoration of Bernini’s works in the basilica, funded by the Knights of Columbus in preparation for the Catholic Church’s 2025 Jubilee Year, made it possible for the chair to be moved from the bronze sculpture in August.
Pope Francis got a sneak peak of the relic in early October and a photo of the moment — showing him sitting in a wheelchair before the Chair of St. Peter — quickly went viral.
Afterward, the pope requested that the relic be displayed for public veneration.
Tumblr media
Francis ultimately decided that the Chair of St. Peter — a symbol of the Church’s unity under the instruction of Christ — would be unveiled for the public at the closing Mass for the Synod on Synodality.
“Pope Francis has been exceptionally generous to the faithful about displaying relics,” Lev said.
“He brought out the bones of St. Peter shortly after his election, he had the Shroud of Turin on view in 2015, and now he has taken the Chair of Peter out for veneration in the basilica.”
“In our virtual age, where much confusion reigns between what is real and what is not, Pope Francis has encouraged us to come face to face with these ancient witnesses of our faith and our traditions.”
Feast of the Chair of St. Peter
Tumblr media
The Feast of the Chair of St. Peter, celebrated each year on February 22, dates back to the fourth century.
St. Jerome (A.D. 347–420) spoke of his respect for the “Chair of Peter,” writing in a letter:
“I follow no leader save Christ, so I enter into communion with … the Chair of Peter, for this I know is the rock upon which the Church is built.”
As Pope Benedict XVI explained in a 2006 catechesis:
“‘Cathedra’ literally means the established seat of the bishop, placed in the mother church of a diocese, which for this reason is known as a ‘cathedral.”
“It is the symbol of the bishop’s authority and in particular, of his ‘magisterium,’ that is, the evangelical teaching which, as a successor of the apostles, he is called to safeguard and to transmit to the Christian community,” he said.
When a bishop takes possession of the particular Church that has been entrusted to him, he sits on the cathedra, Benedict explained:
“From this seat, as teacher and pastor, he will guide the journey of the faithful in faith, hope, and charity.”
“The Church’s first ‘seat’ was the upper room, and it is likely that a special place was reserved for Simon Peter in that room where Mary, mother of Jesus, also prayed with the disciples,” he added.
Benedict XVI described Peter’s ministry as a journey from Jerusalem to Antioch, where he served as bishop, and ultimately to Rome.
He noted that the See of Rome, where Peter ultimately “ended his race at the service of the Gospel with martyrdom,” became recognized as the seat of his successors, with the cathedra representing the mission entrusted to Peter by Christ.
“So it is that the See of Rome, which had received the greatest of honors, also has the honor that Christ entrusted to Peter of being at the service of all the particular Churches for the edification and unity of the entire people of God,” he said.
Bernini’s Baroque Masterpiece
Tumblr media
Bernini’s monumental reliquary for the chair, commissioned by Pope Alexander VII and completed in 1666, is one of the most iconic artworks in St. Peter’s Basilica.
Bernini encased the wooden relic within a bronze-gilded throne, dramatically raised and crowned by a stained-glass depiction of the Holy Spirit, symbolized as a dove, surrounded by sculpted angels.
The bronze throne is supported by massive statues of four doctors of the Church — two from the West, St. Augustine and St. Ambrose, and two from the East, St. John Chrysostom and St. Athanasius.
It is symbolizing the unity of the Church through the ages, bringing together the teachings of both the Latin and Greek Church Fathers.
And at the top of the throne, cherubs hold up a papal tiara and keys symbolizing papal authority.
On the chair itself, there are three gold bas-reliefs representing the Gospel episodes: "consignment of the keys" (Matthew 16:19), “feed my sheep” (John 21:17), and the "washing of the feet" (John 13:1-17).
The ongoing restoration of Bernini’s monument at the Altar of the Chair, along with the recently finished restoration of the baldacchino, is significant not only in light of the 2025 Jubilee Year but also the upcoming 400th anniversary of the Consecration of the Current St. Peter’s Basilica in 2026.
Benedict XVI said:
“Celebrating the ‘Chair’ of Peter means attributing a strong spiritual significance to it and recognizing it as a privileged sign of the love of God, the eternal Good Shepherd, who wanted to gather his whole Church and lead her on the path of salvation.”

Oh to be another avatar and to have to travel back in time to November of 1922 in Cairo with the Moon Knight System to find where some obscure plot-relevant object lost to time ends up while relying on Khonshu to bring you back in twenty-four hours so you’re both running around like headless chickens to try to find what you’re looking for but you’re both just so dazzled by the sights and sounds and you end up in a street chase on horseback with Marc and run through a clothesline that deposits a fedora on his head and his shirt ends up ripped open somehow and then you’re having to shoot at your pursuers while he steers and afterwards he fusses at you about trying to take bullets for him and checks you over and insists on patching you up until you have to push him away from hovering too much and you find out there’s a formal party involved so Jake has to help you find a good outfit because the one you thought you liked just “isn’t your color” but he has you try one on and it’s just stunning so he teases you the rest of the evening about being right about it and the obscure hole-in-the-wall restaurant he finds that ends up having the best food you’ve ever tasted because he has a sixth sense about such things just looking so dapper and fine and oddly in his element and then you surprise Steven by introducing him to Doctor Carter as an upcoming Egyptologist Doctor Grant and his eyes are just shining entire time and you step away to get some champagne and the doctor leans in and says “she’s quite a woman, isn’t she? is she your assistant?” and Steven just very blindly says “no, she’s my wife” because that man wears his heart on his sleeve and speaks in an almost continual stream of consciousness and couldn’t hide his infatuation if he tried and is looking at you with such intense heart-eyes that you feel it and turn and smile and for the first time ever he feels brave and he dances with you while the band swoons and the performer croons and there could never be a more perfect moment than this and yeah I need them bad

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Special Title Draw Banners Tickets Pulls Results Part 2
The Special Title Draw banners just showed up in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game.
Tumblr media
Sadly, the reason why these banners showed up is because DFFOO just announced that it will discontinue or end its service on February 29, 2024.
That announcement came as a shock. Really wish that wasn’t true. Wish the game wasn’t ending at all.
Tumblr media
I talk more about that in another post. In this post, will talk about the results of my ticket pulls on the Special Title Draw banners.
This is actually a continuation of another post. Had to split the posts since the 1st one or part 1 already reached the max limit of 30 pics per post.
Special Title Draw Banners Information
There are a total of 7 Special Title Draw banners. All the weapons that have been released up through November 21, 2023 will be available in these banners.
Special Title Draw Banner 1 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy XV, and Final Fantasy Type-0.
Special Title Draw Banner 2 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy VII (#ad).
Special Title Draw Banner 3 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy X.
Special Title Draw Banner 4 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy XIV, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.
Special Title Draw Banner 5 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy XIII, and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.
Special Title Draw Banner 6 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy XI, and Final Fantasy Tactics.
Special Title Draw Banner 7 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy XII, and World of Final Fantasy.
Special Title Draw Banners Tickets Pulls Results
Here are the results of my ticket pulls on the Special Title Draw banners. Have a lot of tickets, and a lot of my 10-draws just give me the usual bronze and silver trash and/or the occasional gold dupe.
As such, decided to only take a screenshot if I get a Force (FR) and/or Burst (BT) weapon regardless of if it’s new or a dupe. Will also take a screenshot if I actually get something new or something I haven’t fully max limit broken yet even if it isn’t a FR and/or BT.
Will also take screenshots if I get an interesting enough 10-draw like if an unusually high number of golds show up or something.
Got a dupe of Minwu's (from Final Fantasy II) FR from a force orb.
Tumblr media
My 1st copy of Minwu's FR hasn't been limit broken yet.
Tumblr media
This 10-draw also gave me a dupe of a char's 15cp.
Tumblr media
Another force orb gave me a dupe of Gabranth's (Noah fon Ronsenburg from Final Fantasy XII) FR as well as 2 15cp dupes.
Tumblr media
One of the 15cp weapons belongs to Reks from Final Fantasy XII. My 1st copy of his 15cp has been limit broken twice so this dupe will finally let me fully MLB said weapon.
Tumblr media
Got a dupe of Zell Dincht's (from Final Fantasy VIII) Ex.
Tumblr media
My 1st copy of this has been limit broken once.
Tumblr media
Got dupes of Jack's (from Final Fantasy Type-0) LD and King's (from Final Fantasy Type-0) LD.
Tumblr media
My 1st copy of King's LD hasn't been limit broken at all.
Tumblr media
Got 2 15cp dupes as well as a dupe of Rubicante's (from Final Fantasy IV) LD.
Tumblr media
My 1st copy of Rubicante's LD hasn't been limit broken at all.
Tumblr media
Got a dupe of Edge Geraldine's (from Final Fantasy IV) LD and a 15cp dupe.
Tumblr media
My 1st copy of Edge's LD hasn't been limit broken at all.
Tumblr media
Whenever I get a regular blue orb, I usually just quickly tap the screen to get to the draw results screen right away. That's because these usually give me nothing good anyway so don't want to bother waiting for all the bronze and silver trash to show up.
But this time, a regular blue orb actually ended up giving me something new.
Tumblr media
When I got to the draw results screen, was pleasantly surprised to see a Burst weapon. The BT even turned out to be new. It belongs to Dark Knight Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV.
Tumblr media
A force orb gave me a dupe of Cissnei's (from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII) FR.
Tumblr media
Another force orb gave me a dupe of Weiss the Immaculate's (from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII) FR.
Tumblr media
Got dupes of Hope Estheim's (from Final Fantasy XIII) FR and Faris Scherwiz's (Sarisa Scherwil Tycoon from Final Fantasy V) Ex.
Tumblr media
My 1st copy of Hope's FR hasn't been limit broken at all.
Tumblr media
Got my 1st copy of Gilgamesh's (from Final Fantasy V) LD.
Tumblr media
This is one of the few LDs that I'm still missing.
Tumblr media
Got my 1st copy of Krile Mayer Baldesion's (from Final Fantasy V) FR.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Got dupes of Aeris or Aerith Gainsborough's (from Final Fantasy VII) FR and Cait Sith's (from Final Fantasy VII) Ex.
Tumblr media
A force orb gave me a dupe of Balthier's (Ffamran mied Bunansa from Final Fantasy XII) FR and 2 15cp dupes.
Tumblr media
A force orb gave me a dupe of Garnet Til Alexandros XVII's (from Final Fantasy IX) FR.
Tumblr media
And that’s it. For this post, at least. There’s more but gonna have to talk about the rest of my Special Title Draw banners tickets pulls results in another post since already nearing the max limit of 30 pics per post in this one.
Conclusion
So what about you? What do you think about the news that DFFOO is ending its service on February 29, 2024? Did you pull on any of the Special Title Draw banners using tickets? Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions by leaving a comment below or by reblogging or replying to this post.

hi my ru ru!!! i would love to hear some of your thoughts and knowledge about any type of royalty so here she is sending a 👑 <3
!! hello kendy!!
listen, you're absolutely the daughter of a well-known count, who loves and adores you!! you're the socialite of socity, and everyone adores you, but trust is difficult when living in the court. that's why you have your own knight, who shall just be serving you, and no one else.
and poor knight, he cant help but admire you, to respect you, to kiss the ground you walk on. so he indulges you so much, allows you to sneak off, with him of course being your shadow, but he allows you to enjoy yourself in the market, at the village festival, always there, but never truly accompanying you. and how would he even dare to even think about walking by your side... you, oh so lovely, adorned in the most precious silk and jewels, eyes shimmering full of laughter and love....
he's supposed to be only your knight, your loyal shadow, your true protector, and yet he cant help but hope for more, but hope for the touch of your soft skin against his face, your smile directed towards him, and him only...
but he keeps his distance, at your back, hoping that some day you will turn around.

knight rider looks so cool... i wanna get into it so bad but im bad at finding time to watch shows lmao
felt that 😭 I'm the kind of person who needs to watch something when I eat so I've seen most of the series over lunch, with 45-ish minute episodes they're perfect for it. it's a great series, although the biggest challenge is probably going to be finding somewhere to watch it to begin with. hopefully it's something you can jump onto soon if you want to!
