Gibson Unveils Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 and Collector’s Edition, Now Available Worldwide

Gibson is proud to introduce the Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 and the limited Collector’s Edition, a tribute to the legendary guitarist's acoustic guitar that powered some of the most iconic performances in rock history. Jimmy Page used a mid-60s Gibson SJ-200™ for tracks on Led Zeppelin’s debut album and famously during his solo performance on the Julie Felix Show in 1970.

Crafted in collaboration with Jimmy Page himself, this recreation captures every detail, from the guitar's unique sound to its vintage look, with a stunning Cherry Tea sunburst finish. Made with AAA flamed maple for the back and sides, and AAA Sitka spruce for the top, the Super Jumbo body is slightly deeper at the neck joint, producing a distinctive sound. The 3-piece flamed maple neck features a comfortable Round profile, a bound rosewood fretboard with 20 frets, and exquisite mother-of-pearl Graduated Crown inlays.

True to the original, the 60s-style solid rosewood Moustache™ bridge is adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays and features a gold Tune-O-Matic™ bridge with nylon saddles, contributing to the guitar’s unique tonal qualities. Completing the vintage aesthetic are Kluson® Waffleback® tuners with Keystone buttons, and each guitar’s soundhole label is personally hand-signed by Jimmy Page.

Meticulously aged by Gibson Custom’s Murphy Lab, this guitar reflects the original’s wear, meeting Page’s exacting standards. Limited to just 100 pieces, the Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 includes a Custom Shop hardshell case with the iconic Zoso logo, a Zoso Certificate of Authenticity booklet, an extra Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold-plated brass saddles, and a vintage-style Gibson "The Garden" strap. This extraordinary collector's piece is a fitting tribute to one of rock’s greatest legends and his enduring musical legacy.

kind of weird thing to just say out of nowhere but I hate when people don't clip the ends of their guitar strings coming out of the tuners. like whyy it takes two fuckin seconds to do an alright job of clipping them down

also this is why I like old style/kluson style split shaft tuners cause you can't have the string sticking out, it goes down the middle of the split shaft and then wraps around. no getting poked by string ends
