it was new year's eve and you were bursting with with excitement. you were bouncing around the living room in a sparkled dress, your hair done to perfection with sparkly bobbles and hair slides as your face was painted with enthusiasm.

since you had been told about new year's eve by beth one afternoon while you waited for your mummy, you'd non stop talking about staying up until midnight.

but with that, your mummy knew there was no way you would make it. knowing you would be flat out asleep by the time the clock even struck ten pm.

you were a ball of energy but once that energy drained and it inched closer to your bedtime, your eyelids grew heavy faster than anyone could even say 'happy new year'

but alessia had a plan. an elaborate one that would ensure you felt like you had experienced the full midnight celebration without the inevitable crash into your slumber.

"alright, lovie. are you ready for the party?" alessia asked as her voice too was full of excitement, though her heart ached a little sing how determined you were. "but you have to promise me you'll try your best to stay awake"

you nodded, your eyes wide and gleaming, "i will stay awake, mummy i promise i'll wait for the fireworks and i'll say happy new year to all the girls"

alessia smiled, pushing your little head back which had '2025' in silver sparkly letters big and proud on it "tonight will be so special and you won't believe whose made the journey!"

you gasped, "who? who?" you asked, you asked your little legs hopping up and down in excitement.

"you'll have to wait and see" alessia dragged out her last word as a small huff came from you.

all the arsenal girls had been invited by alessia and had promised to help alessia with making tonight magical for you, the living room had been transformed into a festive wonderland, fairy lights twinkling— which you had helped put up, as well as a big balloon banner which read happy new year across the wall.

as well as your favourite part a table piled high with all of your favourite treats — mini cupcakes, juice cartons and of course enough crisps to feed a small army.

the plan was simple, set up a fake countdown and let you celebrate with all of your favourite people.

the doorbell rang and your eyes grew wide as saucers, "is that them, mummy? is that them?" alessia grinned as she nodded, helping you to open the door as all the arsenal girls were here.

each and every one complimenting how cute you looked as alessia hugged each one as they walked into her home. but as each one came in, you waved to beth and then you face lit up as you spotted someone who definitely didn't play in arsenal reds anymore.

"vivvy!" you squealed rushing into her arms, giving her a big hug as viv laughed at your reaction. "you came! beth said you might not be able to come"

"i wouldn't have missed it for the world, klein"

"how come i never get that type of reaction?" beth huffed as she leaned against the banister, alessia giggling at beth's reaction.

"beth she sees you at least five days a week-"

"and?”

once you had got over the star struck of viv making the journey down settling into a rhythm with the arsenal girls being around your house, music filling your ears until.

"where's my favourite little russo?" a voice with a thick accent called out as your head shot up. there was only one person who had a favourite russo.

"mummy? is that tooney?" you gasped as you looked towards your mummy, the smile giving away everything as she nodded.

you quickly getting up and making your way to the hallway, "auntie ella!" you squealed rushing into her arms as she hugged you once she'd put her bags down.

"'ello tiny, i've missed ya!" ella smiled as she tickled your side, earning a few giggles from you as you went to inspect what she had brought for you.

"are these for me?" you asked pointing to the chocolate cakes decked with icing and cool decoration. ella nodding as you rushed to tell your mummy with such excitement as ella followed you into the living room, saying her hellos to the arsenal girls.

your body was filled with even more excitement than you thought was even possible. all surrounded by those you loved, it was a dream come true for you.

but as much fun as it was, alessia had a little secret up her sleeve to ensure you didn't realise what was going on.

as the night grew later, alessia had kept a careful eye on the time, both the real time and the fake clock. when the real time had hit just past 7:55 pm which was exactly thirty-five minutes before your bedtime — alessia was beginning to gather everyone for the 'countdown'

"lovie, cmon it's time! we are gonna do out countdown for the new year!" alessia announced with a wink as ella helped to round everyone up.

you jumped up and down, "yay! i'm ready! i'll say happy new year like big girl!" you cheered umping up and down and clapping your tiny hands.

the girls all gathered around, pretending to check their watches making dramatic faces as if they were waiting for the clock to strike twelve.

"ten... nine... eight..." alessia started, and the room filled with cheers. "seven... six... five..." everyone joined in, chanting with exaggerated excitement.

in the moment, kyra was really paying attention as she glanced down at her own phone and at the time and then up to the other, "it's literally only-" she stopped herself mid-sentence, her eyes widening as she realised now what alessia meant by an early new years, "oh.. uh happy new year tiny!"

the room erupted in laughter as your eyes sparkled, you hadn't even noticed the slip up. too focused on watching the large clock on the wall strike, twelve. as you popped your party popper. "happy new year!" you shouted as you clapped your hands like a pro.

ella leaned over to alessia and whispered with a wink, "she's going to remember this for years. the best party"

alessia couldn't help but smile, "i think we done a pretty good job!" alessia paused as ella hummed in agreement before alessia broke into small laughter, "we aren't going to hear the end of that fact she's seen the real midnight, though"

as the fake new year's celebration continued, the team showered you with love, played games and even with a small persuasion game with your mummy were allowed to kick the ball around in the living room.

even if you did have to help kyra and katie hide the fact that the three of you had broken one of your mummy's ornaments that had lived on the coffee table for ages. but alessia wouldn't notice that it wasn’t there? and you would maybe tell your mummy about that later..

but by the time the actual midnight came around, you'd been changed into your pyjamas and were already fast asleep, snuggled up on the couch. your tiny hands clutching your esme the elephant teddy.

alessia looking down at you, her little girl, her heart full. she'd given you the magic of the night and you own kind of special celebrations and you could wake up tomorrow thinking you had stayed up till the very end of the year.

as a content left your mummy's lips, she whispered, "happy new year my lovie. you're my favorite part of every year."

and as she kissed your forehead, she could already picture next years celebrations. but for now, alessia savoured this moment knowing she'd made it a memory to last forever.

What actually is Eco Fascism?

A topic I do not see explained often enough in Solarpunk groups is: What actually is Ecofascism? Basically every Solarpunk group I have ever been to has the rules "No Greenwashing" and "No Ecofascism", but while Greenwashing will be explained quite well, eco fascism often isn't. So please let me explain it to you.

Naomi Klein called it "environmentalism through genocide", which is a very apt description.

In general Ecofascism links the land and its nature to the lands people - or rather the perceived people. Because, of course, for the most part it is a white supremacist ideology (though variations of it have sprung up in non-white countries like Japan), so first and foremost they link colonial land to the white settlers, not the indigenous people.

As such Ecofascism very much started out with someone being appalled by indigenous people taking care of their land, as according to this white dude this did not leave the land in its prestine condition. This dude was a bloke called Madison Grant. He wrote a book about the "Great Race". A book that Hitler later went on to call "his bible". And obviously he was like all for eugenicism and what not.

Now, I could go on and on about the history of it, but really, it is not important.

First and foremost the central believe of ecofascism goes something like this:

There are too many people living on earth right now which is the reason for environmental destruction and climate change. Hence some people need to die to save the planet.

Only certain people (most of the time they mean white people) are abled to properly take care of the environment, while everyone else is destroying it.

To put it very popculturally: Thanos is basically an ecofascist. Which is why the entire "Thanos was right" narrative is so fucking dangerous and why the Russos did horrible by making him sympathetic.

Now, of course Thanos is in so far still just a bit tamer than your average ecofascist, because he is like "equally out of every group people need to die". Meanwhile your typical ecofascists will usually very clearly say: "People from any group that is not my group need to die."

As I said: Most ecofascism is linked to white supremacism. They will usually use arguments about overpopulation and then point to China, India and Africa.

What they of course will ignore in all those arguments is, that a) historically no country has as much emissions as Europe and the US and b) that the richtest 10% of humanity emits more CO2 and other environmental pollutants than the poorest 50% combined. So, as long as the "killing too many people" does not involve those top 10%, it is not gonna make much of a ditch when it comes to the environment.

Additionally to those genocidal ideations, it basically also has the unscientific idea, that the only way to take care of nature is to leave it alone and in a "prestine" condition. Which often leads to more natural desasters and completely forgets that humans are, indeed, a part of nature.

So, yeah... It is basically just is white supremacy paired with capitalism and eugenics.

It is shitty as fuck. So, please, call it out if you see it.

i need more fashion rants from you bc i love looking at new jeans fashion or closet accounts on instagram and i always want to buy everything they show !! and more brand recommendations BC YESSS I LOVE IT!!

im actually going to yap so much but i will try my best not to yap TOO much i genuinely talk so much ab things that interest me anyways

okay so i always stalk newjeans fit igs and whatnot to find brands of pieces that stnad out to me, one being yuminha just because of its cute and colorful design. i think yuminha has rly good pieces that add details to outfits i mean i bought one of their belts and i always wear it with darker outfits and my low-rise jeans so ppl can see it and it just gives outfits pops of colors

and i don't think i can afford this anytime soon and neither would it be accessible to ppl that... aren't newjeans, but paolina russo has such amazing apparel for the same reasons i listed for yuminha. they're just sooo cute and so complex yet fun and lively which i like a lot (ex: in their supernatural dance break one i think they wore it, but fact check me idk i can't remember the exact one)

there's also brands that are more known that they happen to wear such as polar skate co, jaded london, and ofc designer brands. idk like i don't shop for their exact brand usually, however, i like to use their fits as references. initially, i actually bought the how sweet album just bc yk... dani... adn it was my birthday, but then i saw the little photobook adn time to time i just look at it to take inspiration for fits but its quite cold so i cant rn... i think their best outfits were def during how sweet and supernatural like there's nothign beating that because you can take their looks and tone it down a bit or completely take inspo which i really like.

^for example danielle's outfit with the orange zip up and baggy jeans is so simple yet sooo nice and i have an outfit so similar it's just a different colorway. i'm also a big fan of the accessories and the shoes they wear so i pay attention to those, but i def purchase and save things according to the style i like because they def dress more feminine from time to time in contrast to me who... who dresses futch idk. i take a lot of inspo from minji fs.

also not newjeans related but i own one popeye magazine and i'm planning to buy more, they have a tonnnn of fitspo on there and the one i have has a ton of outfits from diff ppl WITH the brand; the magazine showcases outfits on people from montreal, london, seoul, etc, a lot of cool cities that have ppl with wonderful style.

i can't even lie my style is soooo basic and i'm trying to level it up. when i say basic i mean think of an asian male who listens to wave to earth and take their style and that's me... i fear... im like every other bitch i swear... today i literally went out in a gray hoodie, a puffer over it, baggy jeans, and timbs. my frineds were like 'you look like a guy lowk' so i fear that is what i give... but usually i just wear loose baggy clothes bc idk i like that style

anyways brand recs idek bro im broke i usually shop at h&m for most of my basics but ive been lookign to get thermals from uniqlo. i also shop at old navy sometimes and get a ton of other basics off depop and when i thrift (once in a blue moon).

ummm brands ive been looking at are cfierce, yuminha, rhinodickpill LOLLL, ummm basics on asos, ssense brands, calvin klein (bc of newjeans and also their denim looks good), and idk i just wander around pinterset and look for unique brands soooo and also i def look at a lot of japanese brands just bc i rly like the style and ALSO a bunch of french and british ppl idk but yeah

We are heartened by Friday’s release of the two American hostages, Judith Ranaan and her daughter Natalie Ranaan and by today’s release of two Israelis, Nurit Cooper and Yocheved Lifshitz, whose husbands remain in captivity.

But our relief is tempered by our overwhelming concern that 220 innocent people, including 30 children, remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death. They were taken by Hamas in the savage massacre of October 7, where over 1,400 Israelis were slaughtered - women raped, families burned alive, and infants beheaded. 

Thank you for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people, who have been terrorized by Hamas since the group’s founding over 35 years ago, and for the Palestinians, who have also been terrorized, oppressed, and victimized by Hamas for the last 17 years that the group has been governing Gaza.

We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages. 

We urge everyone to not rest until all hostages are released. No hostage can be left behind. Whether American, Argentinian, Australian, Azerbaijani, Brazilian, British, Canadian, Chilean, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Eritrean, Filipino, French, German, Indian, Israeli, Italian, Kazakh, Mexican, Panamanian, Paraguayan, Peruvian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, South African, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Thai, Ukrainian, Uzbekistani or otherwise, we need to bring them home.

this might get preposterously long, i am a fashion enthusiast after all huhu ~ ✦ sága. reflecting my real life wardrobes and tastes; sága leans to extremely minimalistic elegant; couture & high end fashion with dainty jewelry to accompany. whether it be leisure, sleek chic, or streetwear, they are all uniform in these specific themes. they tend to not like patterns or textures, and prefer soft, stretchy, movable fabric. they also wear a lot of sheer organza !! turtlecks, sheer bows, and bodysuits are especially worn. there are certain skeletal / cold / ' naked ' aspects to their overall fit. despite the enthusiasm on design as a whole, sága also has the mentality of ' the less cloth, the freer '. hence will never wear too much cloth. we do not speak of jeans / hisses / true to their own brand, wear is monochrome with the very subtle exceptions. the choice in ornamentals leans heavily to gold, crystalline and pearlescent. thin circular, stelliferous & wreaths are always seen. there is an abundance of brands that are adored, but a few of them have especially been of astronomical influence. ⋯ ✦ dolce & gabbana · ralph & russo · balenciaga · heron preston · calvin klein · blvck · prada · gucci · vercace

✦ norio. norio shares a plethora of similar themes to sága / me despite not being of the same dreams & thoughts. ie. leaning to the minimalistic elegant & high end fashion, and the duality of ' eikyuu ' vs ' hakanai ' palettes. but norio tends to be slightly more adventurous or specific orientated in his execution such as actually modeling and being a stellar figure. there is fondness for all things beautiful, and norio breaks gender norms if he so pleases. he indulges in a variety of fits, both feminine and masculine. preferring less textured, softer and stretchy movable fabrics / especially due to his work / but capable of wearing them casually. somewhat a mix of traditional and the timeless, classic novel couture, almost regal at times with japanese themes present in all. norio wears a lot of suits that have been tailored specifically to compliment longer sleeves ie. kimono or haori inspired. at the same time, he also adorns harnesses and belts to some extent, often when in dress blouses. minimal embroidered simplistic patterns at times, often the work of his wife's. a repeating motif that will be seen is also rope / string, alluding to the red string of fate or lycoris. circular and golden jewelry ! subtle motifs referring to a shadowed sun as his core icon.
