Shri Venkateshwara University honored Aza Khan for winning Gold at the National Championship held at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.

Shri Venkateshwara University honored Aza Khan for winning Gold at the National Tug of War Championship held at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.

Aza Khan is the Captain of the National Tug of War team & an MBA student of the University.

Mr. Pema Khandu, the CM of Arunachal Pradesh, and Mr. Kiran Rijiju, the Cabinet Minister of Earth Sciences and Environment, honored Aza Khan and her team with a gold medal and trophy.

They won Gold at the National Tug of War championship that concluded last week.

Aza Khan has won over 4 dozen medals, including 8 Golds at various national & international Tug of War championships.

The University officials held a ceremonial welcome for Aza Khan by gifting a turban & memento to the winning champion.

India won't tolerate 'foreign influence', Kiran Rijiju on German interference on Rahul Gandhi controversy

On Wednesday, Germany took an interest into the Rahul Gandhi controversy  and his disqualification as the Lok Sabha Member which ignited a row of arguments. Germany said that “standards of judicial independence and fundamental democratic principles” must be applied to the Rahul Gandhi case. Veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh was the first one to thank the German foreign ministry as he shared a message of gratitude for “taking note of how the democracy is being compromised in India through persecution of Rahul Gandhi."

Union law minister Kiren Rijiju later today reacted to Digvijay’s tweet and made a remark on Rahul Gandhi for “inviting foreign powers for interference into India’s internal matters.”

“Remember, Indian Judiciary cannot be influenced by foreign interference. India won't tolerate 'foreign influence' anymore because our Prime Minister is: - Shri Narendra Modi ji,” he wrote on Twitter.

Congress's media and publicity department head, Pawan Khera replied to the comment made by Rijiju and asked him to answer the questions asked by Rahul Gandhi on Adani issue “instead of misleading people”.

“Mr. Rijiju, why divert from the main issue? The issue is that the Prime Minister cannot answer Rahul Gandhi’s questions about Adani. Instead of misleading people, please answer the questions?” Khera tweeted.

On Wednesday, Germany said the “standards of judicial independence and fundamental democratic principles” must apply to opposition Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as he gets disqualified as an MP after his conviction in a defamation case.

The spokesperson from Germany releases a statement saying that the government had “taken note of the verdict of first instance” against Gandhi and the “suspension of his parliamentary mandate” – the first response by any European country on the case.
