ArtFight attack on @danreallylovesrobots! This is their Beast Wars OC, Birriatron, which I found randomly while browsing ArtFight. I've always wanted to try animating transformations like this, and I loved this design so much that I decided to use him for that experiment. Coming up with a transformation scheme that was semi-realistic was really fun and exciting, and I loved working with this character because he is just SO cool. I mean like, LOOK AT HIM. Dang.

In awe of animators who do this regularly, because WOW it takes a long time ><. It was worth the effort, though.
