This is a wonderful soapy journey of a father and family at the end of a chapter in their lives. It takes place over the course of a few months and we see all the characters evolve and come to terms with their flaws and each other.

SPOILERS!!!

As the father is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he hatches a plan to help his selfish, troublesome children become better people. We get comedy, drama and love stories and you will cry your eyes out as you reach the inevitable conclusion

This is by no means a perfect drama but you’ll get so invested by the characters emotional journey that it won’t matter that much.

SKY Castle (episode 2)

This episode was fairly intense and it wasn’t something I expected for an episode that is still introducing characters and ideas. What happened was something I would have thought would happen a little further down the road but now that this bridge has been crossed so soon, what happens next in this drama has become unpredictable to me.

Lee Myung-joo (Kim Jung-nan) and her family are all but supporting characters in this show, but I expect that their story will create a big impact on our main characters.

It’s a common concept that our parents are strict as we grow up because they are shaping us to become successful. We are forced to attend cram school or tutorials to ensure that we get the best grades or forced to join extra-curricular activities to widen our skills. But when is it crossing the boundary of putting a vicious weight on their shoulders?

Myung-joo’s son, Park Young-jae (Song Geon-hee), was accepted into the best medical school in the country with top marks because of his parents pushing him to study. But to Young-jae, working hard to achieve his parents’ dreams was simply his way of getting revenge. Revenge against the mother who forced him to study until 2am even when he’s sick, who deprived him of food if he wasn’t the best in class, who threatened to kick him out if his grades dropped and the father who beat him up for being weak until he was good enough.

Young-jae’s story could have taken different paths. Young-jae could have accepted his life and got the best grades in SNU Medical School and followed his father’s footsteps as a doctor and hated every day of his life as he went. He could have ran away and cut his ties with his families to escape and live the life he wanted. Or the saddest of which, he could have decided that he didn’t want to continue living his parents’ dreams and ended his life before he had to attend his first class in medical school.

This episode makes you question whether wealth and fame count as success if you aren’t happy with your life and whether you can truly be alive if you’re unhappy inside. You can’t be successful in life when you’re dead.

[News] Kim Jung Nan fangirls over SHINee′s Onew on 'Radio Star'

Actress Kim Jung Nan fulfilled her dream on Radio Star. Kim Jung Nan of SBS′ A Gentleman′s Dignity, SHINee′s Taemin and Onew and CN Blue′s Lee Jong Hyun appeared in the September 26 broadcast of MBC′s Radio Star and put together a special for ′the big sister who loved idols′. MC Yoon Jong Shin introduced the episode as "a private broadcast that aims to satiate the desire of a woman who′s more than 40 years old," and like he said, the episode was like a dreamland just for Kim Jung Nan. She said, "I decided to appear after hearing that SHINee would be appearing," and said the episode was meaningful because she would get to meet her ′ideal type′ Onew. Despite her wishes, she was told that Onew didn′t make it to the broadcast to her disappointment. This, however, was the only moment in which she wasn′t shown with a smile on her face. When asked to send a video message to Onew, she really poured her sincere emotions in the message, and when Onew finally appeared as a surprise singing Replay, she squealed like a teenage girl and showed her delight. This woman with a career of 21 years behind her shook Onew′s hands as her own hands shook with amazement. Yoon Jong Shin commented on the age gap between the two, saying, "It would be the same if senior Sa Mi Ja liked me," and tried to put Kim Jung Nan down by adding "Onew′s ideal type is someone the same age as him," but Kim Jung Nan continued to smile in content. She even revealed that the name of her cat is SHINee, and gave everyone a big laugh by saying innocently, "Doesn′t Onew look like an angel?" At the same time she also made everyone laugh by showing what little she knew about her idol. When asked what Onew′s real name is, she said in surprise, "Onew wasn′t his real name?" and then insisted that his nickname is "Tinky Winky," just because, "Onew reminds me of Tinky Winky." Kim Jung Nan′s blankness on Onew, yet the fact that she held a naive ′love′ for him provided an entertaining contrast for the episode. She went out of her way to laugh at Onew′s unique humor, and was answered by a sweet performance of Propose from Onew. Onew said, "I was touched because this is the first time a well-known figure has openly said she likes me. I hope we keep in touch." The episode came to a close with Kim Jung Nan happily standing among flower boy idols Onew, Taemin, Lee Jong Hyun and Kyuhyun, singing outReplay with a big grin on her face. [News] Jang Dong Gun ordered CNBLUE’s Jonghyun to contact him every two weeks

CNBLUE‘s Jonghyun, SHINee‘s Onew and Taemin, along with actress Kim Jung Nan were guests on a recent filming of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘.

On the show, Jonghyun revealed that he received special orders from ‘A Gentlemen’s Dignity‘ co-star Jang Dong Gun, who played Jonghyun’s father in the drama. Jonghyun said, “Jang Dong Gun sunbae gave be special orders and said, ‘You have to contact me at least once every two weeks from now on, no matter what.’”

Jonghyun also expressed his happiness at being able to star in a variety show by himself without bandmate Yonghwa in tow. This marked the first time that Jonghyun appeared on a variety show without the presence of other CNBLUE members.*

This episode of ‘Radio Star’ is scheduled to air on September 26th at 11:15PM.
