Little Space Gear: Masterlist
(Thanks @mystarrybrain15 for requesting this!)
For a lot of Littles, having gear is a very important part of regressing.  And there’s so many choices!  Food, clothes, toys, self-care–and the list goes on.  So, I thought I’d make a sort of masterlist of various gear, to hopefully give some inspiration for things you might want to add to your Little Space.
Note, I doubt everyone uses everything on this list; we all have different preferences and needs, so use what’s comfortable for you.  Some regressors don’t use any gear at all, some use a lot; just do what makes you happy! Remember that regression doesn’t look a certain way, so you don’t have to use a specific set of gear to be valid.
Mostly, this is geared towards newer regressors, but I hope it can be helpful for anyone looking for ideas.  If you have any suggestions, then feel free to comment them and I’ll add them to the list! Happy regressing everyone!

I understand why they are doing it, but how are you feeling about the fact the new playsets (and in some case families) are way more 'kawaii' and 'modern' instead of woodland creatures Beatrix Potter style? Dont get me wrong, i find the new sets adorable, and they can just do as much with the small countryside town aesthetic, but i feel like they are losing a bit the plot
hi! great question :) I do miss the more cottage styles..I have noticed some of the new special items are more cottage/woodland again so that gives me some hope. There's a secret forest series featuring the new Husky dog brother from the movie that is very 90s and woodland vibe to me. But I also noticed those sets are more expensive, so I'm wondering if there's a production cost factor going on. A lot of details are missing from newer sets as well which I am not fond of.
I do know that generally if I bring up sylvanians to non-collectors, they're more attracted to the cutesy baby sets and really only have the babies. some a cost factor with the blind bags being an easy buy and also maybe an alt fashion standpoint of "these babies fit my aesthetic more". the general toy market is very cutesy too. So honestly as long as they don't give them big cartoon eyes, I'm fine lol. I do like the fairy/floral themes going on but I wish there were some focus on the kid figures and less the babies for a bit. or at least also release another country town or something in addition to the baby stuff. Like there's no library still, and some outdoor fun stuff or more garden/school/jobs would be nice.
But this also gives me time/money to catch up on old releases, as the sylvanian products are VAST and I will literally never catch up

Play date HC with cg!jeongin or cg!chan 🥲-
🌿
Why not both little duckie!!
Playdate Headcannon for CG!Jeongin and CG!Chan
Jeongin
I.N. plans his playtime out carefully.
It isn't so much so that he is organized but rather he likes to make sure you can play with so many different things.
He starts off by surprising you in the living room
Out on your circle texture rug lays many different toy options
Bricks for building, crayons for coloring, puzzle for puzzling, stuffies for make believe, and noise makers for music time!
He lets you pick out what you want to play with, if you are overwhelmed he will narrow it down to a few options.
Of course he joins in on the fun too!
If you are doing a puzzle, he will flip over your pieces with you
If you are building blocks, he will hand you what you need
If you are coloring, he will find a page with you
Once its about an hour before lunch time, Innie will switch you to your next activity
He has set up a fake kitchen playset in the dining room and asks you to help him make lunch
He will watch what you are making and recreate it in his 'big kid' kitchen
So when you go to serve your little plastic sandwich and soup, you are shocked to see it turned real!
After lunch Innie will have some more low-key games set up like memory cards or go fish
He goal is to make you tired.
but don't worry! After a little nap, he will be ready to play some more!
Chan
Chan loves outdoor playtime!
And so do you because it means the evil laptop gets to stay at home
Chan has found a cute little location just off the main path in a nearby forest
He knows its safe and if anything bad were to truly happen, you are only about a 10 minute run back to civilization
But Channie won't let anything bad happen to you
He packed snacks, water, juice, first aid kit, change of clothes, blanket, towel, flashlight, and anything else you might need in an emergency
Today was Bug Bingo!
Chan created a bingo card with all the different bugs you can find in the area.
He would follow closely behind as you walked all around the forest looking for fun little creatures.
Chan would do all the heavy lifting
Need a rock moved? He can move it
Need a log flipped? He can flip it
Need to look up in the tree? He can lift you
Of course after each new bug he would hand you the trusty buggie book he got from Seungmin!
Before you could put your shiny stickers on the square you needed to read all about the bug to Chan
"Ohhhh so that one is called a butterfly dragon"
"No Daddy! That is a ant!!"
He couldn't help getting it wrong on purpose just to hear you laugh

If you're not on Facebook do it just for a local "but nothing group", a good BNG can get you furniture, hobby supplies, sport equipment, clothes and even food (especially in the Sumner and fall if you live anywhere near nature and after major holidays).
www.buynothingproject.com can help find group near you or give you the tools to start one.
Yes sometimes it's posts of empty glass jars and randomness no one wants... But I've gotten bunkbed frames, coffee tables, decor, outdoor kid playsets for different ages, sports equipment, a digital camera, clothes for my entire family including a retired gentlemen's entire "big and tall" professional wardrobe (including a tux and tailored suits)
things i wish i had known when i escaped my family household and couldn't ask my parents for help
invest in a good mattress early on. there are many other ends you can save on - sleep is not one of them. this is key to how much energy you'll have throughout the day
you don't need a bedframe but you do need a slatted bed base (even if it's just pallets)
opening a bank account is easy
there's youtube tutorials for everything. how to install your washing machine, how to use tools, fixing stuff around the place. channels like dad, how do i? are a godsend
change energy provider as soon as your old deal runs out. you'll get better offers elsewhere and avoid price gouging
assemble a basic first aid kid at home: painkillers, probiotics, alcohol wipes, bandages, tweezers, antihistamine tablets - anything you might need in a pinch
and an emergency toolkit: flashlight, extra batteries, a utility knife, an adjustable wrench, multi-tool, duct tape
set your fridge to the lowest temperature it can go. the energy consumption is minimal in difference and it'll give you +4/7 days on most foods
off-brand products are almost always the same in quality and taste, if not better, for half the price
coupons will save you a lot of money in the long run
there's no reason to be shy around employees at the bank/laundromat/store; most people will be happy to help
vegetarian diets are generally cheap if you make food from scratch
breakfast is as important as they say
keep track of your budget in a notebook or excel file - e.g. rent, phone and internet bills, food, leisure so you'll have an overlook on your spending over the months
don't gamble
piracy is okay
stealing from big stores and chains is also ethically okay
keep medical bills and pharmacy receipts for tax returns
also, file your tax returns early
take up a hobby that isn't in front of a screen. pottery, music, going for a run every now and then, stuff that'll keep you busy and sane
and most importantly... you're allowed to get the stuff you want. treat yourself to the occasional mundane thing. a good scented candle. a bath bomb. that body lotion that makes you feel like royalty. the good coffee beans.
you're free and you deserve to be happy.
