Okay, because I am probably insane here are my songs that I listen to when I go to write, edit, revise, aka get into the head space for kidlaw (TDC) with little to no explanation as to why its mostly 2010 pop... 23 songs :)

I have. Twenty-five more scenes in Act II. TWENTY-FUCKING-FIVE. Of the ones I have written down. There's already two chapters worth of scenes I have written that were not originally planned but needed to happen because otherwise the story wasn't flowing. About half of those have to come before I even reach the big half-way point (Scherben auf der Tanzfläche and Messias)

Got a flat ass from sitting on my chair for too long making myself this playlist because it's 10x more difficult finding songs without Spotify (it's not free in Korea and art cram school is sucking ny wallet dry <3).

In all seriousness, I feel like Kidlaw's relationship revolves around the hatefuck, drug/sex (?) addict, one night stands, unrequited love, guns, crime, illegal shit area a lot.

Normally, I wouldn't say I'm into it but between Kidlaw fans - I'm into it. I blame Las because their doujins were what made me fall into the Kidlaw trap.

Honestly,, admitting Kidlaw has good chemistry + is hot was like signing a contract with the devil but the devil was Eustass Kid... Now I hate Kid in an affectionate way.

Well now the Big question, what kind of music they play? I see las into rock maybe metal and that edgy music, but i don't really think on luffy liking it, as someone obsesed with instruments i love the dinamic of bass and singer, since the bass Is low and the voice Is loud

Also who else play? It would be cool to kid to play the guitar to be like the worst trio but since he has a Big hand, and no 2nd hand (lol) he probably would play drums i Guess (?) Or maybe another straw hat?

i saw another band au so that's what i'm using as reference but Is kidlaw and i don't know If you would like it, anyway i love both of the au (i don't have deep thinks about the ships i see them dying alone lol they are so ugly (i love them))

AHHHH HI HELLO I CAN FINALLY ANSWER THIS.

I think the fic answers the kind of music they play, Polar Tang is mostly rock and Thousand Sunny is mostly pop! Law on the bass will own me forever.

They each have their own band, Polar Tang is Law on bass & lead vocals, Shachi on guitar & backup vocals, Bepo on drums, peng on keyboard/misc. thousand sunny loof sings, Usopp on drums, zoro on guitar, sanji on keyboard/etc!! But other straw hats play too, robin and Franky are a duo and open for them often. Usopp is the main lyricist with loof giving ideas and themes he wants to sing about. Both of them are credited for writing most of their songs, cuz Usopp almost always is writing based off things exploded from luffy’s ideas and feedback. Law writes 100% of polar tang’s songs, writing is the reason he got into music.

You could probably gather from the fic but polar tang is mostly Mariana’s trench & matchbox 20 with a sprinkle of blue October

Thousand sunny points of ref (from my end, @blackyote we never boiled it down as specifically w them as we did w polar tang I think lol) are metro station, naethan Apollo, hot chelle rae, Ian McConnell

‘Hating stuff’ by Ian McConnell is the one song loof wrote fully on his own in early days of thousand sunny. Later he’s credited as the writer for the polar tang song ‘hell, at least” (irl by ghost daughter) which he wrote by himself as a song specifically for law to perform

The tykes had only wanted an ice cream from the shops. Law didn't care. Scarred 'em for life. Kid knew magpies were sociable, but territorial. Sometimes mean. Law could be all three. They raised cuckoos at times, the chicks so different from their own but treated like kin. The imposter kicked its foster sisters and brothers from the nest—if its mother hadn't already devoured the eggs. Law was the magpie, but Kid the collector. He picked up the Taisho-era plate. People threw out the old because purchasing the new heralded beginnings. How many oceans had it crossed? He wiped his sleeve across its surface, turned it and located the maker's mark, or not. A line of grime coated the porcelain base like dust trapped by tape. Two hundred beri—going for a song. He pulled a few coins from his pocket, clinked them onto the saucer on the counter (eyed that too), waved away the offer of a plastic bag, but wrapped the plate in soft cloths before sliding it into his backpack. He'd easily sell it for thirty times what he paid, not factoring packaging and his own labour into the asking price.

12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

Oh boy, of projects I'm actively working/want to work on right now, that would include:

Vashwood: 2 (third installation of blackbird, a howls moving Castle au, technically there's another 2 but they're not high up on priority)

Smoace: 1 (canon au)

Kidlaw: 1 (Laputa au)

So technically about 4, and 5 if you include my unfinished satosugu fic on ao3 which I need to finish but have run a bit out of steam on... If we're also including meta posts then I have another meta post half finished in my drafts which I've been on and off thinking about, so maybe 6... The reality of me posting any of these though is slim unless I get a bunch of free time sometime soon haha.

27. What do you listen to while writing?

Depends on what I'm writing! Most of the time I write right before I fall asleep, so by then it's usually a shuffle of whatever music I'm listening too at the time. However, if I have time and I'm properly writing on my laptop I'll curate the music to fit the vibe, especially if it's something depressing I'm writing. I also really like taking inspiration from songs I'm listening too for fic writing so if there's a song I'm particularly rabid about in the moment then I will incorporate it into the writing and likely have it at the top of a short list of music I'd be listening too while writing that plays on a loop.

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

I guess actually putting out fics? It usually takes forever for me to write and I also really didn't expect to end up writing blackbird since originally I was gonna focus on writing a different fic, and then proceeded to write blackbird instead. And then to my surprise wrote a sequel to blackbird, and I've started on a third. So I didn't expect for that to be the biggest part of my year fic writing wise.

I also didn't really expect to write as much meta as I did and it be something welcomed by the fandom as well as it did! (Once while talking with others someone was like WAIT that's you who wrote those meta posts? They're so good! Which was extremely flattering, haha). I really wasn't expecting to get very involved in the fandom since I usually just lurk more than anything, so I quite enjoyed actually being involved for once.
