“Winds of Cyrene” play on repeat
I come bearing yet another time travel idea (to surprise of absolutely no one). This time, the premise is thus: after the Temple, Desmond awakens in a sealed tomb. At first, he doesn’t realize he is not simply… Gone. Not till he has to get up because something particularly hard has been digging into his back while he ruminated. It’s a trial all on its own – wherever he was, it was cramped, and full of things
Definitely not the Temple. All it had in abundance was, well, space
In the end, he tries to resort to Eagle Vision. It takes a few tries – I’m thinking, because suddenly it feels/acts closer to Layla Trilogy’s version of the vision? And it’s downright odd and headache inducing. But after a few tries, Desmond begins to realize that it’s not just random things surrounding him. Just in hand’s reach, he can make out jars and vases by touch alone. And a few meters to the side? His Vision keeps insisting there’s a chariot, of all things
And the thing he is leaning against?
A stone sarcophagus
Que a mounting sense of dread as the above convalesces into a single picture. Of a tomb
And at this point? Desmond has no idea if it’s just some random tomb, or a tomb made for him, or…
Whatever place it is, he just knows he has to get out of there. All Desmond has is his clothes, his blade, and nothing more. He has no food, no water, and who knows what’s in this place – the air is stale. Musky. And if he managed to somehow survive the Flare? He was not about to waste it by using the tomb for its intended purpose. So he starts exploring. Trying to figure out how to use the new version of the vision. Trying to ignore how it feeds extra information to him that he should not known (what the heck is a khopesh?)
His salvation comes when, having moved one of the heavy crates, he sees a fain, nearly not-there, golden outline of a footprint. Not unlike the ones his ancestor’s targets would sometimes leave. It gives him a direction to search in
For the above, I was very much thinking about the Golden Tomb in Isolated Desert. Why? For the sheer opportunity of Desmond then first stumbling down instead of up, to the manmade entrance. And so, he finds Oun Maa Niye Ressoot. Touching the monolith, even without silica, causes it to activate and his pain to light up in pain. That makes Desmond miss the beginning of the message. A stroke of luck, because, frankly, what he does catch through the bouts of pain, leaves him deeply questioning whether he is even alive or not. Whether this is all some trick of Juno’s or not. At least, until his name is mentioned – but he is not addressed
That… Is a relief
It still leaves Desmond pondering a great many things. For a time. Because whether it’s a simulation or not, the thirst and hunger he feels appear very, very real to him. And he was not risking deciding it was a simulation – and dying for it
He ends up figuring out the teleport
But what he finds once he is no longer blinded by light? This… Appears entirely too empty to be anywhere he knows. And entirely too sandy and hot. So Desmond finds a cover, waits for sunset, and then picks the direction which appears the shiniest to his Eagle Vision
…The Giza plateau he finds is entirely too different for him to even entertain the thought that he is anywhere near his time
From there I’d have Desmond try and find a way back. Perhaps look for more Temples like Oun Maa Niye Ressoot, in hopes that one may help him in it. And on the go, he just – settles into rhythm of doing small favors for people. Or what feels like those, to him, because if there is one thing Desmond doesn’t understand, it’s demotic. And his Greek is pretty shaky too, with Ezio being mostly knowledgeable about Latin. So a lot of it? Is down to charades. But it’s not a big issue to take down a group of bandits, or to find documents that help prove that this one merchant asshole is, in fact, NOT doing his work legally
Somehow, though, Desmond keeps returning to Giza
And one of those times? His vision pings him that something is Off with Sphinx (and Ha! Isn’t that a novel idea? It still had its nose, even)
He ends up following the anomaly and – ends up finding the entrance to the chambers under sphinx
And then, he finds the now-open Eesfet Oon-m'Aa Poo
(Here, I ask you to assume Bayek finished the stone circles after the vanilla story line, but has not yet visited Giza, after)
This time, the reaction is… Much, much stronger. And for a moment? Desmond can practically see Calculations. Or the Reader, whichever you prefer. Except, they are not the only ones in that space. There is a voice calling for someone, in the distance, and it sounds so young - Between an odd glowing silhouette and what sounds like a child, Desmond chose to follow the child’s voice
And that’s how Desmond finds Khemu. Khemu, who is trying to find his father but can’t. And while Desmond realizes this may be a huge ass mess and more than likely just a simulation, not a real person –
He tries to calm the kid the best he can. There is no questioning how he can understand him – Desmond is just relieved he can. After managing to get the kid – Khemu – to calm down, Desmond tentatively offers to get him to his parents. This time, when he walks off in the vague direction of the golden tree, he has a scrawny passenger in his arms. And when he wakes up on the floor of Eesfet Oon-m'Aa Poo? There is the same scrawny body laying on top of him
Loose ideas:
This is set after the Hidden Ones have been created, so the origin story for them remains the same
The understanding Khemu and Desmond shared in Calculations… Didn’t really carry over. But they do their best to try and understand each other – or to teach each other their language. Khemu proved to outstubborn Desmond in that
Khemu also has no idea what Assassins are, or that Hidden Ones even *exist*, so his ideas on what Desmond’s work is… Is a bit wonky
And that is totally how Desmond spends all too long thinking that “medjay” is demotic for “assassin”
This may or may not get the two of them into equal amounts of trouble and good luck. Depends on where they are, really
Desmond totally stole the Isu armor from under the Sphinx, and it definitely looks like the concept art version and not the in-game glowy version
It takes them several months to track Bayek down. Or rather, to accidentally stumble across the Bureau in Memphis.

Hate to be that person crouding your asks but... you know the thing girls say to their boyfriends?
'would you still love me if i was a worm?' ...that but with Desmond actually turning in to one
As long as you don’t mind how long it takes me to answer asks or reply to you guys, cloud away XD
We have a Worm!Desmond idea before but the caveat for that one is that Worm!Desmond has the ability to actually turn into a big worm.
In this one, Desmond has no special power.
He’s absolutely just a normal worm.
But to give him a ‘helping hand’, we’ll make his life a bit easier by having a ‘fated meeting’ with his human ‘partner’ (there is no way in hell that Desmond would let anyone call them his master, even if he is, for all intent and purposes, absolutely the pet in this situation.
For Altaïr, he actually meets worm!Desmond while he was hiding to stop other people from seeing him cry over the death of his father. He takes Desmond in and actually hides him in their room, slowly building a habitat for him while he’s training. By the time Altaïr is an Assassin, Desmond already taken an entire wall for his ‘room’ and is living the best worm life XD
For Ezio, we’re going for a more angst-y version. He’s actually Petruccio’s pet that Petruccio was nurtured. When they were attacked, Desmond’s ‘home’ was destroyed and Ezio actually found him when he came back to get Giovanni’s robes. Desmond had been crawling towards him and Ezio almost stepped on him before taking him in.
For Ratonhnhaké:ton, we’ll spice things up and make him connected to Shay. Specifically, Shay and Liam are actually the ones taking care of him, giving him a home in the homestead. When Shay defected and killed Liam, Achilles didn’t have the heart to kill the worm and just gave it food and left it alone in the office. Ratonhnhaké:ton started taking care of him afterwards and would sometimes talk to him, mostly to complain about Achilles and to tell him what has happened in the homestead.
Edward, Arno and the Frye twins have similar setups.
For Edward, he already had a home in the captain’s quarters in the Jackdaw and Edward just continued to feed him. Desmond actually didn’t know Edward was a Kenway until much later. He just thought Edward was some pirate dude that didn’t mind feeding some random worm.
In Arno’s case, Desmond’s home is right next to the chest that held the cafe’s profit and Arno learned the tradition of leaving Desmond food whenever anyone put or took money from the chest. He would learn later on that the one who started that tradition was Bellec who saved Desmond from being used as fish bait. (Bellec was absolutely plastered when he announced that he was keeping Desmond as a pet and is too proud to go against his drunk self’s proclamation)
The Frye twins have no idea where Desmond came from. He was already in a very nice home (kinda like a repurposed aquarium) and no one felt the need to be a dick and kill him so he just eats and watches the drama unfolding between the Frye twins in the comforts of his home in the train the twins hijacked.
Kassandra’s of a similar ‘boat’. Desmond was already part of the Adrestia’s décor and no one really bothered to tell her if Desmond was meant to be there or not. Everyone just feeds him and keeps him safe in a little home inside.
Bayek, on the other hand, travels with Desmond because… he really has no idea why. The worm had been Khemu’s and Desmond just tried to follow him even after Bayek tried to give him to a friend he knew would take care of him. No, Desmond will not become any kind of Hidden One symbol. He’s so small, barely no one notices that Bayek carries him around XD
Okay, so I’m fusing Eivor’s and Basim’s idea because they’re connected. Basim actually keeps Desmond for one single purpose. After Enkidu refuses to come near him, Enkidu visited him once and left a worm by his feet before flying off. Desmond is actually the last ‘gift’ Basim got and he named Desmond ‘Gilgamesh’. Did his Loki senses ping anything about Desmond? Who knows XD What matters is, after Basim gets suckered into Yggdrasil, Eivor took Desmond off Basim’s clothes and gave him to Hytham. She knew that Basim cared for the worm (most of the time, talking to the worm as if the worm could understand him) and it felt right for the worm to be given to Hytham. … Desmond is just reeling from the fact that he spent years accompanying some kind of human being possessed by an Isu or something (he doesn’t know that was a thing XD)

Hii! I love your digital photography and content in general ❤️
I would like to know, what DLC are you referring to when you talk about the cursed Odyssey DLC?
I loved that game and your shots of Kassandra are just incredible!
Hi anon, thank you I'm thrilled to hear you enjoy my work 😊
It is Legacy of the First Blade DLC where regardless of what sexuality you play Kassandra/Alexios as, the DLC will force a wlm romance because the 'plot' demands a child, even if players refuse the love interest in the "option". So when you refuse, it ends with the LI coming back and bam, baby.
Before the backlash, the game will give you a "Growing Up" trophy after having the baby, because fuck you players for wanting choices in a dlc of a choice-based rpg game. Sorry you can choose to have orgy with a goat involved, kill your own family, and let the leader of the Cult live (after kissing her), but the decision to have a baby is too big for players.
Context for the baby? Kassandra is in the middle of a war, where Athen and Sparta at each other's neck and both have corruption from within due to the Cult. Mercenaries on all sides and want to hunt her down at any moment. She recently lost Phoibe, who essentially is her adoptive child (this pain still hurts her after 1000 yrs). Btw Kassandra is immortal (main game plot), she lives from 438BCE all the way to 2018 so idk why bother with bloodline. Anyway, so ofc having a baby in the middle of all this plus taking 1-2yrs off to play house is a great idea.
This lousy plot is only to connect Odyssey and Origins together, because bloodline, which is ironic because bloodline has been irrelevant since Black Flags (Animus got an upgrade) and said bloodline in Origins (essentially Kassandra's descendant, Amunet/Aya's only child, Khemu) got killed off in the few hours. So all of this just to say, oh Kassandra and Amunet are related, but nothing else meaningful comes out of that. And anything from this dlc is never mentioned again in any story going forward (which is good imo), even in the new Kassandra crossover in AC Valhalla they mentioned Phoibe.
In terms of chemistry Kassandra has with the dude, I'll put it this way: Kratos has better chemistry with his dead wife who never appeared on screen. Actually, I rather choose the dude's father, he's a true gilf.
So when I hear about something similar with Minthy, saying I feel like I somehow dodged a missile is an understatement.
#my Kass is bi/pan and I actually entertain myself with the idea of her having kid(s) one day#after this cursed dlc forget it#my gods wth is this design and implementation#the “plot” makes no sense#and players agency got completely stripped#it's been almost 5 yrs since that dlc and im still pissed thinking about it#the main game and Atlantis DLC are great though#just ignore this dumpster fire dlc#i know larian isn't ubi but I'm not taking chance one time is more than enough#anon#answered

🌑 Welcome to the Path of Khemu: Embrace the Darkness, Unveil Your Divine Self 🌑
Are you seeking a spiritual journey that transcends the mundane? A path that honors the deep, primal forces within and connects you with ancient infernal wisdom? You don't like traditional worship because it includes obedience and Subservience? Khemu might be what you've been searching for.
Khemu is not just a spiritual practice; it's a way of life. Rooted in the dark, mystical traditions of the past, yet wholly unique and innovative, Khemu offers a path to personal transformation, empowerment, Apotheosis (self-deification) and deep spiritual fulfillment.
🔥 What is Khemu? 🔥
Khemu is an esoteric tradition that merges the ancient and the modern, blending infernal spirituality, daemonic connection, and a deep reverence for the darker aspects of the self. It is a faith that celebrates individuality, power, and the pursuit of personal truth, with the ultimate goal of ascending into one of two exalted states:
- "Anti-Deity": Ascend to become an Anti-Deity, a sovereign force capable of manifesting your own realms and ruling over them with divine authority.
- "Daemon": become a Daemon and Embrace the seductive and revel in the pleasures and powers of the **Seductive Sphere**, an area of spiritual mastery where desires are not only accepted but exalted, leading to deeper connection with your Daemonic-Self.
The Infernal Pantheon and working with them:
The Infernal Pantheon is not to be worshipped as Gods and Goddesses but as Friends, Guides and Mentors who teach the practitioners how to become Deities themselves
The Teachings of Sekhem-Khemenu
Sekhem-Khemenu, the Hellsent Son, is the enlightened prophet of Khemu, imparting wisdom that guides practitioners on their spiritual journey. His teachings emphasize the importance of embracing one’s true nature, rejecting societal limitations, and pursuing spiritual evolution.
- Chayyā Hakim: The Principles of Chayyā Hakim are the foundation of living according to the example of the Enlightened One (Sekhem-Khemenu, the Hellsent Son). These principles include Sovereignty of the Self, Embrace of Transformation, Pursuit of Knowledge, and many others that guide your path to spiritual mastery.
- The Seductive Sphere: This is a realm within your spiritual journey where you fully embrace and exalt desires, recognizing them as sacred forces that drive spiritual growth and daemonic connection. In the Seductive Sphere, nothing is taboo, and all pleasures are explored as pathways to higher understanding.
🌌 The Spiritual Kingdom of Khemu 🌌
Khemu isn’t just a practice—it’s a spiritual realm you can enter and explore.
- Phargos: The kingdom ruled by Sekhem-Khemenu, where practitioners can travel spiritually to receive wisdom and guidance.
- Zylphos: The Satan-made dimension of chaos, a realm where you can confront and overcome your inner demons.
- The Gates of Infernal Realms (Pandemonium/Duzakh/Jahannam): Explore the Nine Circles of Pandemonium and the other Infernal Realms, each representing a different aspect of spiritual mastery and infernal power.
🌑 The Sins of the Day 🌑
While Khemu prides itself on being a sinless faith, there are certain actions considered deviations from the path of enlightenment and growth. These "Sins of the Day" include Ignorance, Attachment, Egoism, and more. Each represents a barrier to spiritual evolution that practitioners strive to overcome through dedicated practice and self-reflection.
🌟 Join the Khemu Community on Reddit! 🌟
Ready to dive deeper into Khemu? Connect with fellow practitioners, share your experiences, and learn more about this powerful spiritual path by joining our Reddit community: [r/KhemicFaith](https://www.reddit.com/r/KhemicFaith) .

Hello, I am once again thinking about the similarities between Bayek of Siwa and Basim Ibn Ishaq, specifically regarding their arcs involving the tragic loss of each man's son.
So, beyond the surface similarities of both Basim and Bayek being MOC and members of the Hidden Ones (the original Assassin Brotherhood), the heart of each man's arc revolve around the tragic death/imprisonment of their son, and them avenging the harm that befell their sons.
Spoilers ahead for AC Origins and AC Valhalla
Let's start with Bayek.
From the very beginning of AC Origins you see Bayek and Khemu's interactions, the care Bayek takes in teaching his son about the world and his (Khemu's) future duties as a Medjay.
Then comes that tragic moment when Bayek and Khemu are abducted by members of the Order of the Ancients. Bayek tries to fight back and ends up accidentally killing his son. You see his heartbreak and rage, his all-encompessing grief as Khemu dies in his arms.
The rest of AC Origins revolves around how Bayek, and his wife Aya, are working to hunt down and exact vengeance upon the group that caused the death of Khemu.
Eventually Bayek does kill the specific man responsible for the altercation that led to the death of Khemu, but the knowledge that the Order of the Ancients lives on spurs Bayek to continue the fight against the. This leads to Bayek, with Aya, to create the Hidden Ones.
Now let's take a look at Basim.
Basim is also a member of the Hidden Ones, but in a past life was the Isu Loki. Like the Loki of Norse mythology, Isu Loki was an Asgardian-Jotner living under the rule of Havi/Odin, with whom he shared a close bond (sworn to never shed each other's blood). Loki also had a romantic affair with Angreboda/Alethia, with whom he produced three children; Fenrir, Jorgumunder, and Hel.
Fenrir is calculated by the Nornir to kill Havi at Ragnarok, so Loki and Alethia do their best to protect their son by hiding him away. Unfortunately Havi discovers Fenrir, and attempts to kill him. It is only Loki's intervention that saves his child's life, only for Havi to chain Fenrir until Ragnarok, where they will kill each other, going against the oath he swore to Loki.
It is this betrayal that Loki turns on Havi. He murders Havi's son Baldur, and works with Alethia to create a plan that will allow Loki to reincarnate along with Havi. This plan would allow Loki to find Havi in the future, kill him, and find Loki and Alethia's three children.
This brings us to the Basim Ibn Ishaq we meet in-game. Basim, through notes you can find throughout the game, and conversations you have with Basim, is shown to be a talented Hidden One. He shares Loki's deep commitment to the pursuit of scholarly activities and hunger for uncovering more knowledge and wisdom.
Basim, also like Loki, valued loyalty and kindness. These are also all qualities he shares with Bayek. It is also implied that along with the death of his family, he also may of had a son who's lose triggered Loki's awakening.
Throughout ACV, he is loyal to the Raven Clan, despite believing Sigurd to be his nemesis Havi, and showed them his kindness and loyalty throughout their time together in England. He only became antagonistic towards Eivor and Sigurd after realizing that Eivor is actually Havi's reincarnation.
Basim, like Bayek before him, sees the person he believes responsible for the death of his/Loki's son, and does the understandable thing - tries to kill them.
Both Bayek and Basim are two men with a deep respect for the world around them, who loves their partner and is loyal to their allies. The death of each man's son has a deep effect on them, leading them down a path of vengeance. The only major difference is the lens with how each man is viewed.
In AC Origins, Bayek is the character players experience most of the game as. This allows players to empathize better with Bayek's struggles, to wave away any less than stellar choices as just "he did what he had to do".
This changes in AC Valhalla. Instead of playing an assassin like in previous games, you play the Norse Drengr Eivor. Basim is regulated to a side-character, who spends most of the game as an ally, albeit a sometimes antagonist one, before becoming an full antagonist/anti-hero.
This causes players, who normally would have sympathy towards him, like they would for Bayek, to instead abhor him. Because they play the main character, they sympathize with the MC above all else. Basim attacks Eivor, and players feel like he's attacking the players themselves.
Hopefully, now that Ubisoft has introduced him as a possible new character to play in the Modern Setting, they can flesh him out even more as a character, along with his motivations beyond finding his children and continuing the fight against the Order of Ancients.

Bollywood Movies Part CCVI: The Mollywood Takeover Part XXXIX
After being released from prison, Advait Thakur (Aditya Roy Kapur) begins anonymously calling Inspector Anjaney Agashe (Anil Kapoor) about murderers he will commit. As Agashe and his partner Michael Rodrigues (Kunal Khemu) follow Advait’s trail of bodies, the past between them, Advait’s victims, and Advait’s girlfriend Sara Nambiar (Disha Patani) is revealed.
Malang is a decent thriller that gives us enough to figure out the twists without making them too obvious. Advait and Sara’s romance is a bit drawn out and seems more like an advertisement for all the fun things you can do in and around Goa. Favorite songs are Ho Ja Mast Malang Tu and Phir Na Milen Kabhi. Neither song has subtitles
Police officer Ayyappan Nair (Biju Menon) and rich boy Koshi Kuriyan (Prithviraj Sukumaran) begin a feud when Ayyappan arrests Koshi for possession of alchohol in dry area right before Christmas, setting off a chain of events leading to Koshi getting Ayyappan fired.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum is an okay film. I honestly didn’t enjoy it because I did not enjoy the escalation of the feud and the toxicity both main characters exude throughout the movie. Also my takeaway was that they’re both in the wrong, but I’m not sure that was the intended message. Favorite songs are Kalakkatha and Ariyathariyathe. Neither song has subtitles.
Marriage minded Nikitha “Nikki” (Kalyani Priyadarshan) lives with her mother Neena (Shobana) in an apartment in Chennai. Their lives begin to change when Bibeesh “Fraud” (Dulquer Salmaan), his brother Karthik (Sarvajith Santosh Sivan), and their guardian and soap actress Aakashavani (KPAC Lalitha) move in to their apartment complex and when reclusive neighbor Major Unnikrishnan (Suresh Gopi) begins going to anger management and interacting with people in the complex more.
Varane Avashyamund is a fun slice of life movie that really makes us connect with all of the characters. I liked the romance between Neena and Major Unnikrishnan because it felt mellow. The film had good pacing and didn’t drag at all even though it’s nearly 2.5 hours long I especially enjoyed Nikki’s relationship with her prospective mother in law Dr. Sherly (Urvashi). Overall a good watch and very enjoyable. Favorite songs are Mullapoove, Muthunne Kannukalil, Nee Vaa En Aarumukha, Aadyamorilam, and Kuttikkurumba (transliterated Malayalam subtitles, no actual film footage). All songs except for the last one do not have subtitles.
#the great venture into Bollywood#becomes the great venture into malayalam cinema#spoiler for malang: the apparent fridging is not actually a fridging which i appreciated#in ayyappanum koshiyum both gowri nandha (who played ayyappan’s wife kannamma) and anna rajan (who played koshi’s wife rooby) were dubbed...#by riya saira#the director of ayyappanum koshiyum sachy died a few months after the film released due to complications with his hip replacement surgery#in varane avashyamund shobhana was dubbed by bhagyalakshmi and kalyani priyadarshan was dubbed by anne amie

AC Dating Sim (Modern) best and worst character traits Part 2:
Arno: Best- He's a sensitive soul, and he's creative and artistic. He cleans up after himself pretty well. Also, lowkey loyal to a fault/Worst: He's on the verge of depression after Elise broke up with him, and he's clingy due to the fear of losing you as well.
Jacob: He's comedic, can take a joke, and loves to have fun; it takes a lot to ruin his mood/Worst- he can be immature and irresponsible at times, bad at time management. Also, DO NOT compare him to Evie, he'll pitch a fit.
Bayek (divorced, he and Aya are on mostly good terms, and Khemu is alive🙂): Best- he's a good leader and is great with kids, very responsible, has incredibly warm eyes and smile/Worst: can be naggy at times and sometimes goes into Dad mode: he'll treat you like a daughter rather than a partner. Not too often though
Haytham: Best- He's very mature, classy, and refined, quite intelligent too/ Worst- He's judgemental (despite being an unwed father) and has a sharp tongue. He and Connor don't get along since they're complete opposites, but he's an "okay" father.
Shay: Best- He tries his best to be morally upright, and he's forgiving and doesn't hold grudges/Worst: he can be an over-thinker and he indecisive about a lot of things. One time he almost went insane when the Assassins and Templars both had guy's nights on the same day
Jacob and Arno just need to be treated right fr
YES GIVE ME AUS WHERE KHEMU LIVES, EVERYONE DESERVES IT *cough* Bayek being a dilf *cough*
Also I get Haytham's type entirely because we have the same personality type lol *cough* Haytham being a MEGA dilf *cough*
I can see Shay being either really committed to a decision or really indecisive about it, myself.
I'm loving these hcs and it makes me want a dating sim game for these men even more ;-;

hey tt, which north and south indian actor/actress do you think is majorly overrated and underrated? you could maybe do both living underrated/overrated and dead underrated/overrated separately for both north and south indian
Overrated
These are obviously just my personal opinions but I’ve never really been impressed with the following in whatever I’ve watched. Like yes, they’re fine, they're entertaining at most, but I just don’t get the hype about these ppl's "skills".
Bollywood: Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Ayushmann Khurrana.
South: Most of the Telugu male actors, Vijay (he's basically South ka Salman.)
Underrated
I'm not gonna say people like Pankaj Tripathi, Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Konkona and all, coz everyone KNOWS they're underrated.
Bollywood: Jimmy Shergill, Abhishek Bachchan, Akshaye Khanna, Shefali Shah, Avinash Tiwary, Divya Dutta, Radhika Madan, Sanya Malhotra, Kunal Khemu, and so many more who deserve to be much bigger than the people who are "stars".
South: All of the Malayalam movie industry. Call me biased, but it's true and I should say it. Fight me. Even the random supporting character actors can perform circles around any of the mainstream Bolly/Tolly biggies.

gonna enable you and say connor ♡ also bayek!
actually alli kinda enabled me first re: connor hehe
First impression
i was kind of torn, because while i definitely liked bayek from the start, i tend to really dislike seeking-vengeance-for-dead-kid stories. that’s just... not the kind of angst that i look for, so bayek and origins and general was kind of a hard sell.
HOWEVER...............
Impression now
BOY HOWDY I LOVE BAYEK!!! obviously he is the perfect combination of dilf + sauce man, and i really appreciated that origins really fleshed him out as a multifacted character rather than just Angry Sad Vengeful Dad. he pets cats, banters with npcs, gives senu smooches, is completely devoted to aya, and takes great pride in his position as medjay. he kind of reminds me of connor, in his dedication to helping others and remaining unflinching in the face of formidable political figures (cleopatra, caesar, etc). basically what i’m saying is, bayek is the person i think connor will grow into in a few years (preferably without, you know, the big family tragedy).
Favorite moment
in that hidden ones montage/voiceover, when the child tells him he’s afraid, and he kneels down and says “i’ll walk you home”. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
tbh i didn’t think much of it until i saw some galaxy brained gifset calling attention to the parallel between flashback bayek telling khemu to just go home on his own, and hidden ones bayek taking the time to make sure this kid gets home safely. like............. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
and the way that, before that montage when they are founding the hidden ones, he says “i will be the father i was not that day in siwa” ????????
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Idea for a story
omg i really don’t know! as much as i had reservations about the dead-kid plot of origins, i still found myself engaged and invested, and i think it’s actually one of the few stories where i don’t really need/want to expand further on it? i think bayek’s story tells us everything we need to about him and his world and his journey, it tells us everything we need to about the founding of the hidden ones (presumably; i haven’t played the dlcs yet), and we are given just enough detail about his and aya’s later lives that i am content to just let the story be exactly what it is.
i guess this idea would technically be aya-centric, not bayek, so it’s not really an answer to this question/prompt, but: i would ofc love to see more aya content. literally anything: more of what she’s up to when she and bayek separate after khemu’s death, what she’s doing when she’s not on-screen in origins, more hidden ones shenanigans in rome besides just the ides of march and some voiceovers/montages. show some goddamn respect to the queen, ubisoft.
Unpopular opinion
idk how popular/unpopular this is, but: beard bayek and clean-shaven bayek are equally hot. it is impossible to pick one over the other. thank god we can toggle that as we please lol
Favorite relationship
bayek and aya are THE power couple obviously, i don’t think there’s much more to say on that. their devotion to one another is sexy as hell
as for interactions with other people, i would have to say that my favorite is just bayek and kids. he is just so obviously meant to be a father: he’s a naturally protective, warm, patient (unless provoked), and fierce person. every time he gets to interact with little kids, from playing hide and seek to meeting shadya (do NOT say a WORD) and everything in between, my heart just melts.
i think both of these relationships are the purest examples of what i love most about bayek: his devotion. to loving and protecting the innocent. and to getting pegged by his hot girlboss wife.
Favorite headcanon
alsdkfjal;skdjf idk???? just like the story prompt above, i haven’t thought about this much because bayek’s story and what we know of him is already perfect as is. i would like to think that he travels to rome to visit aya though. and maybe runs into some mysterious and sexy greek jock lady along the way.
send me a character!
#bryn: talk about bayek pls#me: sure *wanders into a connor tangent in paragraph 2*#assassin's creed#ac origins#bayek of siwa#ask games#userbryn

Growing Family
Paring: Jacob x Child! Reader (*sobs* big buffy men with smol things makes me cry)
Word count: 2723
Warnings: tears, child abandonment, piss n shit
this was heavily inspired by this video
The loud bustling noises of London rarely stopped, and that is what excited Jacob most about the city. The countryside had its perks, and the town where he studied in the US was fun, but to Jacob, almost nothing could outshine London. The people here were unique as well, and every interaction was on some level of entertaining. It’s what kept Jacob Frye on his toes.
After a training session, Jacob was just arriving at his home, turning the corner to his house, sweaty from the walk and The London Underground, he saw a woman holding something in her arms, glancing around. He didn’t think much of it, and would have continued past her if she hadn’t stopped him.
“Excuse me sir, can you help me?”
Jacob stopped and turned towards her, “What is it?” He asked, smiling.
“Can you hold this?” She handed him a bundle, and he was caught off guard by the weight of it.
“What- hey!” Jacob adjusted his weight to hold whatever was in his hands, and watched the woman get in her car and speed away. “What the…” Looking at what he was holding, he finally realized what was in his arms.
A child.
Luckily for him, they were sleeping. What to do now, he wasn’t sure. London decided to help him figure what to do by starting to pour, and he ran down the sidewalk to his home, trying his best to not wake the sleeping kid up. As he shifted them around to pull out his keys, they made a whining noise, making him freeze momentarily. When they didn’t make any more noise, he continued to pull out his keys and enter his home, being as quiet as possible.
Making his way upstairs, Jacob pondered on what to do. This kid had just been abandoned by their mother, and he had no way of contacting the dad, or any family members. They kid had been abandoned. It didn’t help that the mother took off so quickly in her car, with little detail given about the child. He decided that since the kid was sleeping, the best he could do was put them in his bed, and hope they sleep the rest of the night.
Jacob had heard stories from Bayek about how laying a baby to sleep was like messing with a bomb. That the most sudden movement could wake them up and chaos would follow. So, as he carefully laid the child down, Bayek’s stories with Khemu echoed around his head, even if the child didn’t look to be a baby but more around the age of a toddler. Moving his hands away, he held his breath as he backed up, and breathed once he was out in the hallway.
He pulled out his phone, and quickly scanned through his contacts. He was lost on what to do in this situation, there was no way he could do this alone. He needed more food, he only had enough to last him a week. He wasn’t planning on taking care of a kid. What about clothes? How long was the kid going to be here? Should he give them to the foster system? Maybe they still have family. He took a breath in, and exhaled.
“Get a hold of yourself, Jacob. You’re overthinking this.” Glancing back at his phone, he scanned through his contacts. One caught his attention, and he went to press the call button, but hesitated. Surely he would have experience with something like this, but he didn’t want to bother him. Would it be worth it? I mean, he could call Evie or Henry, maybe even Freddy. Jacob sighed and hit call.
The phone rang for a bit, before it was answered. “Hello?”
“Hello Father. Listen, I know you are probably busy, but I need…” Jacob inhaled, “...some advice”.
Silence. Jacob was about to hang up before, “What have you done now?”
“Well, I didn’t do much actually. This woman asked for some assistance in holding something of hers, and when she handed it to me, she took off in her car.” He hesitated, before bluntly saying, “She gave me a child”
“Pardon?”
“A child. They're sleeping in my room, but I don’t know what to do now. I don’t even know the kid’s name.”
A string of curses was heard from the other end, before Ethan was heard sighed heavily on the other end. “Do you have enough food?”
“For a few days”.
“How about clothes, do they have clothes?”
“Only what they are wearing” Scribbling could be heard on the other end.
“Alright, I’ll be over tomorrow, and I’ll help you sort this out”.
Jacob stopped breathing. Tomorrow? He was grateful for the help, but did his dad really have to come out so soon? Why would he? He called for advice, he didn't expect his dad coming to visit, especially since he’s so busy. “Do you not have work?”
“I’m free for this week. I’ll be there around 8.”
“Alright, see you then”.
The call ended, and Jacob rubbed his face in his hands. He now had another guest to worry about. He figured his father would give him a checklist of what to do, but now he was coming over. Still, inside Jacob was happy his father was willing to come help him. Only a little bit though.
Luckily for Jacob, the kid slept through the night, and Jacob woke up around 7 am, to the sound of shuffling footsteps coming from his room. Getting up slowly, Jacob had nearly forgotten the previous day's occurrences, before realizing that those footsteps were those of a child. Oh god, that means they are awake.
Ripping the blankets off his body, he made his way upstairs, and saw the child shuffling around his room, looking around tiredly, and confused. When they saw Jacob at the doorway, and walked up to him, looking up with a head tilt, clearly confused to who he was. ‘What the bloody hell do I say? “Oh yes good morning child! Your mom gave you away last night so now I have you here at my home! And my father is coming to help figure out what to do with you!” no I can’t say that, it’s a child!’
A grumbling noise was heard, and Jacob assumed that the kid was hungry when they looked down and placed a hand on their belly. Holding his hand out, Jacob waited for them to look up, and after a moment, grabbed his hand as he led them through the house downstairs to the kitchen.
Jacob decided it was best to keep an eye on them as much as possible, considering that they were very small, and that he didn’t want them hurting themselves around the house. Picking them up, he made sure nothing in the vicinity could hurt them, before placing them on the counter. “What do you want for breakfast?”
They titled their head, blinking a bit, before looking around. Upon seeing the fridge, their eyes lit up, and they pointed at the appliance. Jacob walked over and opened the door.
“Alright, I have ham, bacon, and eggs-”
“Eggs!” They were cheering, clapping their hands and bouncing up and down.
Jacob smiled, “Eggs it is”. Taking out what he needed, he began to cook for the two of them, as the child continued to repeat what they said, excited for the eggs. Once the eggs were done, he picked them up and placed them in a chair in the dining room. Jacob ended up grabbing pillows from his couch and placed them on the chair as a booster, before grabbing the eggs, and placing one plate in front of them, and digging into his own. He was worried they wouldn’t know how to eat by themselves, however it seems they at least knew how to eat with their hands.
Once they were done eating, Jacob cleaned up, and made sure to clean them up as well, before moving to the living room, waiting for Ethan to arrive.
Jacob was looking out the window when he felt movement next to him, and looked down to see the kid staring at him, curious.
“Mama?”
That hurt Jacob. This child was confused. Last they had seen their mom, they had fallen asleep in her arms, only to wake up in a strange house. What that mother did made his blood boil, but he would deal with his anger later. Right now he had to clarify who he was to this kid. “Jacob”, he said as he pointed at himself, smiling.
“Eheeeheeuwbeekehh awskwskswskwesawdeh”
Jacob blinked. He didn’t speak gibberish. Still, he grinned, ruffling their hair. Hopefully they had some relatives they could get in contact with. Jacob looked out the window, and saw Ethan walking up to the door, hauling two suitcases, with grocery bags hanging off of him. Standing up, he went to the door and opened it. “I see you have had a busy morning”.
“I have”. Ethan huffed before looking down, noticing the toddler behind Jacob, curious eyes looking at him, confused and intrigued. “When you said a child I thought you meant around 8 years old, not a toddler”.
“They are the same thing, aren’t they?”
“Absolutely not.”
Jacob looked his dad up and down. “Would you like some assistance?”
“I raised you and Evie I can handle this”. Ethan made his way to move through the door after Jacob stepped aside with the child in tow, and attempted to squeeze through the door frame.
“Are you sure?” Jacob grinned.
“Yes”. Ethan tried several more times, before silently handing Jacob the grocery bags, who took them chuckling at his father’s antics.
Once Ethan was settled, and the food was stored, they gathered in the living room, around one of the suitcases. The toddler sat beside Jacob, looking at him.
Jacob looked back, and glanced at his dad, unsure of what to do or rather how to respond to them, especially when they pointed at him. Ethan only shrugged, before being confused as well when they moved their finger towards Ethan, head tilting. Ethan decided to try something out, and pointed at himself.
“Ethan”. He pointed at his son. “Jacob”
The toddler pointed at Jacob, “Jacob” they pointed back at Ethan. “Ethab”. They looked around, finger wagging about as they twisted around. “Mama?”
Jacob pointed at his dad, “Ethan,” he pointed back at himself, “Jacob”.
“Jacob, check if they smell”.
“What?”
“Do they stink?”
Jacob went to go grab them, but they walked away from him, going to the plant that Henry had gifted him, looking around. Jacob shared a glance with his dad, as the kid pulled down their pants and pull-ups together, causing the Fryes to panic and get the kid away from the plant at minimum.
They ended up making a mess on the floor, to which Jacob decided to clean, and Ethan decided to give them a bath. So, Ethan whisked them away to the bathroom, and Jacob made quick work of the accident that nearly killed Henry’s plant.
“Jacob!” Ethan called from upstairs.
“Yes?”
“You need to help with the bath. They keep saying your name”.
Confused, Jacob walked upstairs and into the bathroom, and upon seeing him, they clapped their hands, squealing with delight. “Jacob! Jacob!”
Jacob laughed, and got on his knees besides the tub, watching his father thoroughly clean them of any filth they had on them. The whole time, they babble incoherently at Jacob, trying to talk but it only comes out in gibberish. Ethan reached for a towel he had found, and helped the child out of the tub, wrapping them in the cloth.
“I’ll be back with clothes, you dry them off”. Ethan left, and when he returned, Jacob and the toddler were pointing at each other, making goofy faces.
“I found out their name it’s- are those my clothes?” Jacob stared at the clothes that His dad had brought. Sure enough, those were clothes he wore as a kid. “Why did you bring my clothes?”
“Cheaper than buying new ones.” Ethan laid the clothes out. “I also brought pull-ups, so all we need to get is a toilet for them to go to the bathroom, that way they don’t make big messes again.”
Jacob nodded, and started to help the kid get dressed. “Their name is (Y/n)”.
Ethan nodded, “Might be best to check if a toddler has been reported missing.”
Jacob found the missing children website, and got to searching. As much as he searched and called, he couldn’t find a single lead into where (y/n) came from. Sighing, he rubbed his temples, and lazily glanced up towards his dad who stood at the entryway of the living room.
“No luck I suppose?”
“Nope.”
Ethan sighed, before taking a seat on the couch besides Jacob. “We can try again tomorrow”.
Jacob nodded. (Y/n) was upstairs taking a nap, which gave them a moment of peace. For the most part, Ethan had been watching over them as Jacob tried to get information. Seeing his dad handle a kid so easily made him wonder what it must have been like for Ethan when he was younger. “Father,” Ethan looked at him, “what was it like raising Evie and I? Did it feel similar to this in a way?”
Ethan looked forward, taking a deep breath, holding it for a bit before sighing. “In a way, yes. I had two babies to raise and look after, and your mom had just…” he trailed off, rubbing his palms together. “It was hard. It was all sudden, and even after all those months of preparation, I felt extremely unprepared. In most other situations, sudden events are thrilling. This wasn’t as thrilling, considering everything that had happened, but I gave it my best.
“You both were rascals, intelligent, energetic and absolutely a nightmare when you played together.” Jacob chuckled, remembering the times him and Evie would scare his dad. “I love every second of it.”
“Love?”
“I’m still your bloody father, aren't I?” Ethan grabbed Jacob in a neck hold, giving him a noogie, “Someone has to teach you sense.”
Jacob laughed, slapping away at his father’s arms. They laughed, and settled back down. “What happens if I can’t find their family?”
“Perhaps they will be put into foster care.”
“I don’t know about that.”
“It’s not your kid Jacob.”
“I know but,” he hesitated, before continuing. “It doesn’t feel right to give them to the system.”
Ethan crossed his arms, “What will you do then?”
Jacob thought about it for a moment. He wasn’t planning on being a father anytime soon, but the more he thought about it, the idea wasn’t too bad. Undoubtedly the paparazzi might begin to follow him around more, but there are ways to avoid them. He turned to his dad, grinning. “I’ll take care of them”.
Before Ethan could respond, the doorbell rang. Standing up, Jacob walked over to the door and opened it. “I was beginning to think I couldn’t have any more guests!”
“Who else could possibly be- father?” Evie peered into the home, confused as to why Ethan was sitting on the couch. “What are you doing in London?”
“Helping Jacob”.
Evie walked inside, and so did Henry Green. “What has Jacob done now?” Before Jacob or Ethan could answer, a wailing began from upstairs.
Ethan and Jacob shared a glance, as Henry and Evie looked at both of them for answers. Jacob made his way upstairs, hastily opening the door to his room, to find (Y/n) sitting on the bed, crying. “Mama! Mama!” They continued to call out for their mom, hugging themselves, shaking.
Jacob walked over to the bed, gently shushing them, and reached out a hand to try and console them. (Y/n) stood up on the bed, still crying, and began to pound their fists against Jacob. He looked down at the child, shushing them softly in an attempt to calm them down. When that didn’t work, he picked them up. Eventually, they calmed down, wrapping their arms around Jacob and sniffling into his neck. He turned to the door slightly, to see the others there, watching.
Evie glanced between him and (Y/n), looking pitiful. “What kind of situation did you get yourself into?”

Aashram Season 2 (2020)
IMDB Ratings: N/A
Directed: Rajesh Krishnan
Released Date: 31 July 2020 (India)
Genres: Comedy
Languages: Hindi
Stars: Stars: Kunal Khemu, Rasika Dugal, Gajraj Rao, Vijay Raaz
Movie Quality: 1080p. 720p HDRip
File Size:
This is probably a completely pointless lactadorian film that lasts over two hours without much happening. Nandan has no idea what to do with a small amount of cash and does everything to hide it from his wife Lata (Rasika Dugal). He discovers the bag left behind in the crossfire between two rival thugs. The film opens with some promising constellations, but it’s the comedy of errors that matters.
Over the next few hours, the film goes round in circles, but it’s funny, and that’s why it’s funny. If she recognizes the conflict early on, one would expect the narrative to move on and introduce new scenarios that benefit from good comedy.
For almost an hour, the film shows Nandan’s struggle, which is fleetingly amusing but mostly frustrating. Scenes often repeat themselves, and I wish Dugal had more to contribute than being a plain-speaking wife. Khemu is allowed to run away with good will and appears to be a partygoer until we see his moral awareness.
Gajraj Rao plays a local politician, Minister Patil, who does his job without being too sweet, and Ranvir Shorey’s Commissioner Kolte has a slightly antagonistic shadow, played and controlled by Patil. Besides these two characters, there are Bala Rathore and Vijay Raaz, both National Geographic-obsessed and talking in animal analogies.
Each character has a few lines that land well, but overall none of these features are memorable or innovative enough.
Originally shot for the big screen, the film has now found a direct digital release, and unlike the original, Aashram Season 2 has released a few songs, which doesn’t bode well for an OTT watch, especially considering it’s so loosely cut. We have seen Raaz before in the role of a Mumbai gangster, but this time he is in the lead role.
Aashram Season 2 has been shortened, shortened and reduced, and this version feels more like a re-run of the original film than a real adaptation. This time, the media has fallen in love with Raaz’s character and his portrayal of a gangster in modern Mumbai.
If you are looking for something out of the ordinary in the film industry, this is the perfect choice. It’s a black comedy that Bollywood doesn’t often have, or don’t have, to deal with, but it’s also a good example of what it means to look for it in a movie. Hindi cinema rarely promises such outrageous humour, and it promises to do so when it opens, when our middle-class hero finds hidden cash at the entrance to a public toilet. Paisa Bolta Hai, a middle-class housewife, sees a bundle of money floating in her kitchen sink. When this film begins, it is unlikely that anyone has ever experienced such joy in Sulabh Sauchalaya as Nandan Kumar did that night.
Nandan works in a printing house in Mumbai, lives with his demanding son and wife and goes through the daily drudgery until one night he discovers a suitcase full of 2000 rupee notes. Nandan is honest, because people tend to be if they have never had the opportunity to be dishonest. Still, Aashram Season 2 gives hope that it has something new to say about the state of Bollywood and its film industry in general.
Kashyap, when in his best form, and Ram Gopal Varma, once the acting master of his genre, have thrived in this area for years. The chain of events in the district includes a politician who owns all the money, his rivals and his dilemmas. He overcomes his dilemma, but is caught up by immoral and amoral people in situations that even the man who started it all cannot escape. Thus he suffers neither remorse nor fear of being discovered, he acts like a master and deals with the consequences in his own way.
The script is not built on these quirky elements, however, but the main characters in Aashram Season 2 are a special one. With a cast of outstanding actors, including Kemmu (who really deserves more recognition than Bollywood has ever given her), Dugal (whose filmography ranges from Raaz to Monsun Wedding to Delhi Belly to Dream Girl), and a host of others, much of this may come as no surprise to those who have starred with her in her films.
The looting is terrible, the humour in Aashram Season 2 soon becomes sparse and the occasional misunderstanding is visible from a distance of a mile. The narrative’s lack of urgency is its undoing; the pace slows And not only because of the looting itself, but also because of the slow dialogue.
It starts well, but is also predictable and harmless, and is finished halfway through the first half of the two-hour drive.
It’s not a bad film to spend time with, but it’s not the worst movie I #

Click Here To DOWNLOAD NOW This is probably a completely pointless lactadorian film that lasts over two hours without much happening.
Originally shot for the big screen, the film has now found a direct digital release, and unlike the original, Khuda Haafiz has released a few songs, which doesn’t bode well for an OTT watch, especially considering it’s so loosely cut. We have seen Raaz before in the role of a Mumbai gangster, but this time he is in the lead role.
Khuda Haafiz has been shortened, shortened and reduced, and this version feels more like a re-run of the original film than a real adaptation.
Still, Khuda Haafiz gives hope that it has something new to say about the state of Bollywood and its film industry in general.
The script is not built on these quirky elements, however, but the main characters in Khuda Haafiz are a special one.
