Something about Vibes (1988)
It proves to me once again that a film can be bad and I can still like it. I don't think it was a good film, I had trouble understanding some of the motives, it was tonally like a kids or teens film but had alot of innuendos and sex stuff (though I think that's a common case with 80's films? so maybe whatever). It was quite juvenile. I would not recommend it overall.
But boy did I ENJOY IT. In a fanfick-y way, it felt like it was tailored especially for me. I genuenly liked the main pairing. I liked the Jeff Goldblum eye candy. Cyndi Lauper played a weird blonde, and I love weird blondes. Peter Falk was the best obviously. And even Steve Buscemi was in it! For one minute but still. I liked the childish jokes and I had fun watching the plot unfold. The last joke/twist really cemented it for me: this was a good film, for me, not in general, but for me it was really fun. Tickled me in all the right places.
Każda potwora ma swojego amatora. Even if something is of questionable quality, SOMEONE is going to love it.

It would be easy to say that the pants changed everything that summer. But looking back now I feel like our lives changed because they had to, and that the real magic of the pants was in bearing witness to all of this and in somehow holding us together when it felt like nothing would ever be the same again.

Angela So Pam has the final talking head and when the one-liner, which is the schedule of scenes for an episode comes out You know I would love to read it. I saw that the very last thing that was scheduled for the last day of shooting was Pam's talking head. I went to John's trailer and I said, John, did you see the one-liner? And I showed him and I said, I don't wanna be here alone. I don't wanna be here all by myself. I want us to end together. And John said we have to end together So. We went together to Ken Kwapis and Greg and they said, oh, we thought it would be really poetic to end the show by filming the very last moment last. But we hear you. So here's what we'll do. We're gonna film your talking head if everyone doesn't mind waiting. And then when you're finished we will film that final B roll of everyone leaving the office and of Pam taking the watercolor off the wall. How does that sound? And John and I were like, yes, we need to all be together. When you say that's a wrap on the office, that's a series wrap.
Jenna But the episode ends after Pam's talking head.
Angela Yes. Pam famously says, there's a lot of beauty in ordinary things. Isn't that kind of the point?
Jenna Oh well that's just, that was Greg's philosophy of this show. It was meant to mine the beauty in ordinary day-to-day life.
Angela It's beautiful.
Jenna Yeah. That's what we were shining a spotlight on. So amazing. And I loved shooting this talking head. I was talking to Ken Kwapis that's who was sitting across from me in the job when Jim finally asked Pam on a date. And that's who I got to deliver my final talking head too. And it's very meaningful to me.
