Romance novel where instead of the working class girl being swept off her feet into a life of luxury by the billionaire CEO the working class girl works with the CEO's son to take him down in a lawsuit for workplace misconduct and shady business practices and the two of them takeover the company together and restructure it to give the workers fair pay and benefits and better working conditions, implement sustainable practices, and eliminate the use of slave labor and sweatshops from any aspect of production.

Bob Mackie | Fran Drescher "The Beautician And The Beast" Embellished Tulle Evening Gown

An original Bob Mackie evening gown with a strapless beaded bodice with a cinched waist and multi-layer iridescent organza, tulle ballgown skirt worn by Fran Drescher as Joy Miller in the film The Beautician and the Beast, costarring Timothy Dalton (Paramount, 1997). This design was a part of Bob Mackie's Fall/Winter 1997 runway collection. 

An elaborate strapless wedding/evening gown with a beaded bodice with a defined waistline that emphasizes the five-layered ball gown skirt. Two labels are sewn on the gown's interior: an EC2 (Elizabeth Courtney Lable) and Bob Mackie's signature label. 

Drescher takes on a similar comedic role, like Fran Fine in The Nanny, with a similar storyline of a beautician (cosmetologist) who accidentally is mistaken for a science teacher and is sent abroad to educate an Eastern European government leader's children and ends up altering Dalton's character of Boris Pochenko's perspective on diplomacy and how to be a better father.

25 years ago THE BEAUTICIAN AND THE BEAST premiered in the USA. The film marked Timothy Dalton's return to comedy genre. He played 'The Beast' opposite Fran Drescher's Beautician in an alternative take on one of the most popular fairy tales in history.
