So i've slowly been writing this fic, I'm gonna post the first chapter on AO3 soon, but it still needs some finishing touches. I'm hoping posting a snippet here will kick my ass into action. I already have one fic about Charles and Kelly up i'll link it below.

“Any sixes?”

“Swim with the fishes.'' Hawkeye responds to his mustachioed companion in his best James Cagney impression.

“Do you two not have anything better to do than play these childish games?” Comes the pompous interjection of one Major Charles Emmerson Winchester the Third MD.

“A little diversion is good for you every now and again Charles, you should try it sometime, something other than surgery to capture your focus” responded B.J without looking up from his game of go fish. 

“I have my music, that is all I need to preserve my sanity.” Charles replied calmly

“I guess music does calm the savage beast” Hawkeye quipped

“It is clear, Pierce that you've never met a civilized person before now, being from the far North, you’re more adept at building relationships with moose”

Before Hawkeye could joust back with what would have been an hilarious rebuttal about long legged brunettes, Radar came into the swamp

“Mail call sirs” He stated, like the giant bag filled with letters wasn't enough to tell, let alone the camp-wide announcement not five minutes ago. 

This ones from Massachusetts Sir. he said grinning as he handed the letter to Charles. 

The Major snatched it out his hand, grumbling, “where else would it be from? They already drafted me.” 

“Charles, that was almost a joke, are you feeling alright?” Hawkeye asked, feigning concern. 

Charles ignored him, tearing into his letter.

“Um I have a couple for you sirs, too sirs.” Radar said. 

“I'll take mine in the study” Hawkeye said poshly as he flopped onto his cot. 

“I do not believe my eyes!” Charles erupted from is chair 

“What's the matter, Boston run out of beans?” B.J questioned, followed by a goose like guffaw from Hawkeye. 

“They have appointed a new head of Thoracic surgery at Massachusetts General, and I wasn't even considered!” 

“Well you are rather indisposed right now, remember the war?” Hawkeye asked incredulously. 

“They should have waited for me! I am obviously the most qualified person for the job” Charles ranted on, pacing now. “See here he went to the University of Georgia, and then PRINCETON? HA” He was practically fuming now. 

B.J chuckled, he looked over to Hawkeye wondering why he wasn't laughing along. He was occupied sharing a look with Radar. 

“Hey Charles, what's this guy's name?” Hawkeye asked, sitting up.

Yes its exactly who you think it is. I'm hoping to have the first chapter up by the end of April.

The og Pjo books are predomanently about child abuse and with that,comes a fair amount of themes of grooming.It's not super in there but it does arch across the series quite a bit,quietly,in Luke's serial pedophile status and the gods' martyring of Percy.Luke groomed Silena,Thalia,Kelli and Annabeth romantically and no,that last bit isn't a retcon since as far back as TLT,he does nothing to discourage her crush on him so the implication was always there but he also groomed the Titan's Army as a whole into his child soldiers and the Gods did the same to Percy only on a grander,more idealizing scale.They lied to her,they physically assaulted her,they insulted her,they used her for their own gain and acted like it was for her own good and they stole her childhood.They took advantege of her vulnerability and Luke did the same to a whole military's worth of abused kids and for a bit,he did the same to Percy too.It's hard to glaze over how awfully they were all treated and get the full picture for the story,ironically not unlike how they saw themselves in-universe.This is why i'm anti Luke x Percy and Percy x Gods ships in all contexts,even one-sidedly,because it weakens Pjo as a whole and feels like a cowardly cop-out as i usually see the defenders of 'Luke was Percy's bi awakening' and 'Dark Percy aus' acting as like if they don't frame it as grooming and instead as silly and lighthearted,then it's not grooming

But by irl definition and canon writings,Luke and the gods treatment of Percy is grooming and if turned romantic,falls under the more well-known definition of the former.She's 18 they watched her grow up ever since she was 12 as adults with the youngest having 7 years on her and the incestous abuser of her childhood best friend.There's really no way to frame it as something cute and funny without extreme insensitivity to grooming survivors and putting the new generation of Pjo fans coming in from the show in danger at joining them as it's been proven ships like this are used as tools for it,including in this fandom specifically.We also don't need Percy to like men to be queer,she's got a lot of subtext that borderlines on text indicating she's trans and shipping an autistic trans woman with men who abused her throught her prebucesent years all the way up to her entire teenage years is transmisogynistic for reasons i don't think i need to state and ignoring the many other women who were groomed by the same man you're shipping her with so you can make him look like her 'saviour' is regular misogynistic for equally obvious reasons

Aknowledging the grooming motifs in Pjo shouldn't be considered taboo and 'too much for a kids book series',because who exactly does grooming happen to and needs to know it's bad so they can spot it and save themselves from it?Exactly,kids.Plus,one of the book's is literally about the greek version of hell as a setting-I think if they can read that,it's okay to tell them 'Hey,adults being attracted to minors is bad even in fiction,please be aware of this and here is what it looks like so you can protect yourself and know how to cope if it already happened to you'

you honestly don’t need to like every queer character that exists, and i truly mean it. at the end of the day, if you don’t like them, you have every right to. but you don’t get to say they are bad representation simply because you don’t related to them. not every character will appeal to you, but that doesn’t make them a bad representation. feel free to critique them and their personalities, it’s your right to, but don’t be a jerk about their queerness unless they are falling under a harmful stereotype.

some people take it on the next leave too, and say that a character who isn’t queer in canon is better representation. in what world? you might feel connected to them and see your queerness in their journey, the same thing has happened to me too, but that’s not the same as having a literal queer story. queer characters are there to make you feel seen, but not only that. they are also here to challenge the status quo, to normalise queer people just existing and to make bigots uncomfortable. remember when jon kent was first announced to be bisexual with the cover of him kissing his boyfriend? yeah, a headcanon will never have such reaction.

my point isn’t made to attack people for seeing parts of themselves in “straight / allo / cis” characters. it’s wonderful that you found a character you could relate to and make you feel less alone. it really is. like i said, i see parts of my queer identity in characters who “don’t” have my sexuality too. but don’t put down actual queer representation for characters who have never been confirmed queer. it’s wrong of you to. at the end of the day, these are the characters who actually make the difference.

This is a blog dedicated to streamlining works centered around the Titan Army and its members, particularly the demigods. Here are some guidelines and tips to help you navigate the blog.

General guidelines:

Mod expects everyone who interacts with this blog to be a decent human being and will not hesitate to scrap with rude people.

All content will be TA-centric, meaning fanworks where the TA are side/background characters may not be put on here.

Given the darker/more morally grey nature of the Titan Army and its characters, this blog may include works with more mature themes. Mod will place content labels where necessary. Trigger warnings will be indicated in the tags (appended by "//"), which you can block. That being said, discretion for what fanworks to reblog ultimately lies with the mod.

Blog will run mostly on queue. If you haven't seen your works or submissions on here yet, chances are it's in the queue or it has already been posted (in the case of headcanons and meta, something similar has already been posted). Please do not bug the mod to follow up on anything.

Mod will not boost any fanworks that contain character or ship-bashing to keep this blog generally a positive and wank-free space.

Submission guidelines:

How do I get my work plugged onto this blog?

If you want to plug fanworks about the Titan Army, the blog will be accepting submissions for the following: fics/writing, art, meta, and short-form headcanons. You can simply submit the links of the posts to your works; for short-form headcanons, just a plain text submission will do.

Otherwise, mod will be diving into the characters' tags as regularly as they can.

What criteria does my work need to meet in order to be on here?

As per the second general guideline, at least one Titan Army character must be a centric/main character. Including other characters is okay, but they will not be tagged for.

Ships with one (or more) TA characters and one (or more) non-TA character/s are accepted, so long as they are the focus of the work.

For writing and art, only completed works will be reblogged on here, i.e. wip snippets are not allowed. Completed and posted chapters of an ongoing multi-chaptered fic and completed b/w sketches are still allowed.

Do you accept fanworks with non-canon Titan Army characters?

Fanworks with OCs will be accepted.

In light of the incoming second season of PJOTV, the blog will also be accepting fanworks with Alison in them! Until she has a last name, she'll be tagged for with "alison pjotv".

For characters in canon that are headcanon-ed to be in the Titan Army in the context of the fanwork, they will be accepted. Mod will tag such posts with "ta [insert character name] (headcanon)," e.g. "ta percy (headcanon)".

Self-insert/x reader fanworks will not be accepted.

Any other content specifications?

While the blog will accept works of a more mature nature, the mod will not be plugging or accepting submissions of sexual content wherein one or more of the involved characters are underage. Works with extremely graphic violence will also not be accepted. This is done in consideration of the source material's general audience as well as the mod's personal squicks.

Do you accept asks?

Yes! This blog will be accepting asks containing anything that's not covered by the submissions. Do keep in mind, however, that othrysbulletin is not supposed to be an askblog. For non-TA-related things, fanwork ideas or requests, and anything concerning the mod's opinions, you can ask them on their main blog.

What can we ask you?

You can ask the mod for fic recs; for instance, you may want fic recs of specifically a certain character or trope. For personal recommendations (aka "fics you like"), please direct them to the mod's main blog.

You can also ask the mod to promote TA-related events, games, askblogs, or community hubs!

Feel free to also clarify any of the guideline specifications, or to send in suggestions in order to improve this blog—as long as it’s done politely and in good faith.

This summer I’ve been writing. Like… A LOT, and I have three fics that are in the works but my goal is to have one of them published by September 15. I’ve never published anything, I’m kinda getting excited but also super nervous.

as the ta server well knows, ive been obsessed lately with the concept of TA animalsonas (technically could be shifter/hybrid AUs too, though the animals are more for vibes than any actual plotline atm) so i thought i’d share some ideas here! yay 💃🏻👯🪩

luke - white king cobra: has gold markings on his crown and one golden eye (in lukronos mode); venomous; retains the slit snake eyes and fangs as human

chris - brown bighorn ram: one horn broken off post-labyrinth, matching with clarisse’s (boar) one broken tusk; retains the horns and the tail as human

silena - pink sparrow: VERY TINY!!; song can enchant like charmspeak but more hypnotic; retains forehead and shoulder plummage as human, like natural accessories/costume; loves flying with beckendorf (black-necked crane)

ethan - swan: no he does not have his eyepatch in swan form, it’s just closed shut; retains plummage around his neck, almost like a collar and also the same black facial markings as a swan, extending from the outer corners of his eyes down to the point of his nose

al - brown greyhound: very lanky and twiggy; retains dog ears and tail in human form; retains ridiculous radium eyes in dog form; is all outfitted (collar etc) by his mom lmao

only sharing luke’s because the rest are so messy tbh HABJENDJS DISASTER!!!… but mostly because theyre concept drafts mainly to help me visualize these things. i do wanna draw stuff like comics etc with these its so fun (ta server has given me so many ideas about crane!beckendorf and swan!ethan just thrashing the absolute shit out of snake!luke)
