First comic style drawing so the composition isn’t the besttt? Almost added Nya in but i couldn’t find the energy. More ninja! Lloyd owns the second place medal of my heart go white boy go. If. not sure if i’m happy with Kai’s design yet, he might change around a bit more.

I feel like when I'm drawing something I need to make all my references from scratch

I mean obviously I don't, they're references for a reason, they're supposed to inform the drawing in some way or another

I will either have 1 sole reference I'm drawing from or I'll have 20 different ones

I often have trouble visualizing what it is I wanna do or how to execute it unless it's right in front of me

Alot of my paintings are either really straightforward like what you see is in fact exactly what it is, or its preplanned in photoshop

I've been a very visual learner but I'm also very technical and have a keen eye for details like I need to see everything exactly and study it before I even thing about replicating it

While its definitely a time saver to have everything prepared for me I feel like it doesn't flow the same way it used to

And with drawing especially digital drawing everything is very organized and in one place and I actually hate that cus I keep my laptop very organized

While I love keeping my laptop organized and knowing where my files are, when it comes to using it for drawing I'm like fucking going half crazy cus this does not feel like a creative process it feels like I'm regenerating an image with extra steps but I'm also lost without clear direction

I think I need a reset

The problem with that is I'm in no situation to execute that

A creative reset for me is very emotional, loud, messy, big, and covered in paint

Very much a let it all out type beat

And as many know I don't even have space to breathe in my room so--

Tis the holiday season what better way to celebrate

Making Maya and pearl into critters was really fun so I did it again because all silly little guys deserve the love ( I'm sorry soj maybe another time). The tgaa critters are by far the smartest thing this series has done.
