Why do some people genuinely have internalized racism!!! Some of you “girlbloggers” have a little trouble accepting that every girl isn’t white with blonde hair. Or, white with brown hair… or white in general.

If you go on TikTok, and see Blythe doll slideshows you’d be surprised to find a black or dark skinned one. The person making the video just thought adding different hair colors, eye colors, and freckles to some would make the video “inclusive.”

You’ll see the comments saying “none because I’m black/darkskinned” and the creator having the nerve to muster up some “sympathy” and say: “I’m so sorry! I’ll make another one.”

Why should you make another one? The current one has 20+ slides, and you couldn’t manage to put someone with a darker skin tone? Ridiculous.

Or the “Sade girl” aesthetic. It’s genuinely sad that black women can’t have anything to themselves. “Sade girl” and it’s a white woman with blonde hair, clean girl aesthetic with pretty flowers, a few book pages, and a pretty latte.

When you really see the meaning of Sade’s songs, it’s the complete opposite. “Like a tattoo” is not about a brown haired girl who likes to take walks in the forest because it’s aesthetic, it’s about a man ashamed by his actions in war. His mistakes imprinted in his mind “like a tattoo.”

“The song’s grave tone reflects his guilt and shame over committing a war crime. Over the course of the song, we learn that he shot and killed a man who had his hands up in surrender—an act that may have also been witnessed by a significant woman in the victim’s life.”

Get your shit together everyone!!! We all need to be educated. Don’t call it “girlhood” if it’s not for all girls. Don’t say you “girlblog” if it’s not for all girls.
