My THSC OCs Part 1
Liah Lugo:
Age: 27
Hetero
Liah is Henry's Ex Girlfriend in my AU and is a central antagonist in my AU. She is probably my most controversial character I've ever made. She's basically a Karen with the hate for everything that isn't "normal;" this includes LGBTQ and basically anything from your stereotypical Karen. She was originally just made as the enemy of Ellie Rose in my AU and was just a massive liar that got away with crap, (she still is) but as time went by, her character slowly turned into a Karen and then became Henry's ex. She is hated a lot by my friends from what is planned so far for her and they often draw her dying for her actions.
Fan
Age: 25
Straight Ally
Fan is another character who's had a similar start like Liah. Originally in a nutshell, he was a crackhead. He was an insane character who constantly twitched and it was obvious from the start that he was on drugs. He still keeps these traits today but as time went by, he became a soft and caring husband to Ellie. I feel like he's the opposite of Liah in many ways, such as being a straight ally and a very supportive person. Fan's design tool time to decide, and had mainly three designs in total. His first planned design was planned to be bald, but then he was given dark brown hair and a suit with the same color, and then after the EJ drama he was given one last redesign since he looked too similar to EJ's character so I changed his hair a little by darkening it to a darker brown and his hair changed very little. Fan was also planned to be Pan but as time went by, he changed to being Straight Ally as it didn't really fit him. He also was changed to have a crush on Ellie and later marries her.
Axel Keating
Age: 27
Bi
Axel was a government soldier OC I made to have a small focus on the Government. He was originally made to be the boyfriend of Calvin Bukowski and a high ranked member in the Government. As of right now, I'm still trying to decide a backstory for him.

Latinx singers of classical music: a list so incomplete as to be positively embarrassing
What I wrote in the previous post in this series applies here as well:
Some of these artists are up-and-comers; some of their careers were at their height in the 1970s, when I first began paying attention; a few go back further than that.
Although in this case it’s more than a few — which, along with the fact I kept finding more and more younger artists, is why I decided to end my research and post this now.
I’ve included many of the younger ones solely on the basis of reputation, without having heard them. Not all are or were A-listers, but they are all people who sing or sang Western classical music for a living, or taught others to do so, or a combination of the two.
Assembling this list has required me to consider some questions of inclusion. Do the children of European immigrants who, in some cases, didn’t even bother to give their children Latinate names belong here? Undoubtedly many people will say no; I disagree. (I have drawn the line, however, at Spanish or Portuguese artists who decamped to their countries’ former colonies.)

On the state of affairs regarding the imminent deportation crisis touching Haitians in the United States
As you know, in November 2017, U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced that Temporary Protected Status (TPS) granted to many Haitians following the deadly 2010 earthquake would not be renewed. These Haitians were offered provisional legal residency in the United States and are expected to leave the country in the next 18 months. According to some reports, this measure would touch nearly 60,000 Haitians living in the United States. As of now, it is unsure whether the U.S. government will actually proceed with this predicament. Moreover, it does not appear that the Haitian government has made any declaration on this state of affairs. The article listed below better explain the situation.

Juan Vergillos Grupo Joly
