Mini-review:

I'm always up for a drama about the idol industry, and with that cast, I knew I couldn't miss out on this one. It started off great, but I must admit it began to lose steam halfway through. I feel like the writer didn't really know how to tie together the show's many plot threads. Honestly, the main reason why Namib remains watchable until the very end is Ryeoun; he carries the drama on his shoulders with a committed, impactful performance. It's seriously impressive to see how much he has improved in like 4 or 5 years, to the point that he can now wonderfully play a role as complex as this one. To sum up, this drama could have been a lot better written, but it's not a disaster or anything like that.

This is a weird cookie cutter nutter romcom drama that’s absolutely not to be taken seriously at all. Although beneath its craziness, the last couple episodes, there’s a nice message to not judge or bully anyone especially from hearing it from rumors or gossip. Both main leads have wonderful chemistry as well as the rest of the cast. There’s quite some uneven episodes. Sometimes it drag, then rushed very fast. It could have used better editing. Is it a perfect drama, far from it. On the other hand it’s a cute fun quick drama too.

i think it is super well done. so why not 10/10? i feel like there was so much buildup in this drama and so much of it led nowhere… i did mostly like the relatively open ending, though i feel that maybe one too many threads were left loose.

park eun bin delivered an absolutely stellar performance and the others were great too and i loved seeing them and their characters!

i think it’s a shame they changed kwon min woo’s demeanor so drastically without any explanations, but overall i think it’s nice that the characters went through some sort of development.

i think maybe the first half was too slow of a set up to then go through three subplots per episode towards the end… overall though it was great, i loved the characters and i definitely do not regret watching! it’s definitely a must-watch, but i don’t think i will be reeatching this eventually.

Lee Jun-Ho'nun performansı gerçekten farklıydı. 2PM grubunun üyesi olan Lee Jun-Ho, bu dizideki rolüyle dikkatleri üzerine çekmiş olsa da kendi adıma üçüncü izleyişim. Performansı ile acı ve umutsuzluğu aynı anda hissedebiliyorsunuz. Won Jin-A ise karakteriyle çok derin bir bağ kuruyor ve trajedinin yoğunluğunu başarıyla taşıyor. Bence oyuncunun neşeli rollerde oynamaması gerekiyor. Genel olarak son derece donuk bir mizacı var. Beğendiğimi söyleyemeyeceğim ama role yakışmıştı.

Dizi, acı, kayıp, sevgi ve yeniden başlama temalarını derinlemesine ele alıyor. Her bölümde karakterlerin duygusal yolculuklarını daha yakından takip etmek, izleyiciye hem kalp kırıcı hem de umut veren bir deneyim sunuyor. Ayrıca; dizinin atmosferi, çekimler ve mekanlar, hikayenin duygusal yoğunluğuna mükemmel şekilde uyum sağlıyor.

Genel oalrak Rain or Shine’ı beğendim. Özellikle karakterlerin yaşadığı içsel çatışmalar ve birbirlerine karşı geliştirdikleri duygusal bağ başarılıydı. Dizi genel olarak ağır bir tempoya sahip ve izlerken biraz sabır istiyor. Ama sonunda o sabır pişman etmiyor. Bunun dışında, dizinin hikayesi biraz daha sakin ilerliyor, aksiyon ya da yoğun olaylardan ziyade, duygusal derinlik ve karakter gelişimi ön plana çıkıyor. Bu yüzden herkesin tarzına hitap etmeyebilir, ancak duygusal yoğunluk ve karakter derinliği sevenler için mükemmel bir seçenek.

Sonuç olarak, Rain or Shine derin, duygusal ve düşündürücü bir dizi. Her iki başrol oyuncusunun da güçlü performansları sayesinde izleyiciye güzel bir deneyim sunuyor. Biraz ağır ilerlese de, trajediyi ve iyileşmeyi keşfetmek isteyenler için harika bir seçenek.

WHY SO UNDERRATED??

I recently came across a drama released in 2014, "Seonam Girls' Highschool Investigators" (available on viki). I CAN'T BELIEVE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT THIS DRAMA!! This is probably one of the best dramas I've watched in a while. The drama revolves around 5 girls who create a club in their school and solve cases or mysterious incidents happening in or related to the school. I'll not give any spoilers but please give this drama a watch, this will definitely be worth your time. If you don't find it interesting at first, then don't worry; just sit through it as it slowly starts getting interesting and keeps you at the edge of your seat because every time I decided this is the last episode for the day and I'll continue the rest tomorrow, they end the drama with such a cliffhanger that you just cannot help but be curious about what happens next.
