(Just some headcanons about the Mother of Kakashi~ One day I'll expand more about it :)

Thinking about Kakashi's mother, since there's zero info about her. The earliest Kakashi we know of is 5.

What if Kakashi did remember her, at least a little. She was ill ever since the pregnancy but she hung on for a few years more. She didn't pass until Kakashi was 4 or so.

In those 4 years, they were your average family. Sakumo with his fearsome reputation who took on less missions after his son was born because he was so ecstatic over his new little one, and deathly concerned over his ailing wife. He just wanted to protect his family, wanted to be there for them. He doesn't think he could be happier.

Baby Kakashi who grew up a mama's boy. Always cuddling, always cooing even as a newborn. And his mother was equally besotted. She squabbled frequently with her husband over who got to cuddle the baby and she always won because little Kakashi clung to his mother stubbornly. He's generally a quiet baby but the tantrums he'll throw when he's separated from his mother is spectacular. Those chubby fingers dug into her clothes, his round face pouting as he hides it against her. He looks just like his mama.

Sakumo settles on holding them both.

Little Kakashi who grows up very fast, able to talk by his first birthday, able to walk, but still clingy. Follows her everywhere around the house. Always found peeking around her legs, barely above knee level. Shy, but running to his father when Sakumo comes home, babbling baby talk. He's got a little obsession with clinging to their legs. And his mama will always scoop him up into her arms for a cuddle because he's so cute and she needs to hug him, blow into his cheek until his squeals of laughter fill the home.

Sakumo can barely watch them, he's so overcome with love and happiness.

When she passes, Kakashi grows up very quick. He sticks to his father, predictably, and starts learning his father's famous ninja skills.

He starts wearing a mask, because he has a sensitive nose and he doesn't want to smell everything. He wants to remember how his mama smells. The mask helps. All the new scents won't overcome the memories of the soft, sweet ones of his mother. It doesn't last forever, but with the mask on, or when he covers his nose, he thinks he can almost smell her again.

It's the only thing he has left of her, and he guards it closely.

This is my version of Kakashi’s mother and her name is Botan Hatake. She’s a kind woman with a lot of spunk, she’s considered quirky by others. She loves to collect pretty and unusual earrings.

Will it bear him bad omen if she holds him till her last breath? Should she give him to his father's arms? Or are Sakumo's hands trembling too much to hold a life that is still so fragile? The scent of blood wraps her in the cold wind blows across her now frozen skin. There's a reek of sulphur and ash all around. More than before. And Sakumo winces in heavy breaths. It should hurt to be held so tightly, yet her body feels nothing anymore. Except the end, getting closer and closer. Someone screams. Someone cries. Everything buzzes, voices blur in a haze of gibberish. Is it Sakumo's voice that screams furiously? Is it White Fang's the suffering howl? Is it hers the child that is crying out amid the turmoil of a tragic night? Why can she no longer see anything? Has eternal darkness descended upon her? Has the cloak of the grim reaper fallen on her? Is it time to leave, forever?

« Wha- Rouna! » is Sakumo's certainly this shout, the sole one capable of towering above the deafening darkness within, it scares her though as it echoes in the nothingness, « ROUNA! »

« Ka...kashi...I... »

In nothingness air is dense with breaths that don't turn carbon dioxide dispersing into the night. Oxygen suffocates her throat, clots of blood and air choking her. Words cut off from her. They slide silent into tears, furrowing the crimson in her face into mute love that she no longer has voice, will never have, to utter. The scent of snowy hair grazing her lips is the last sense life grants her. A clemency of fate. And in the illusion of a life that would have been she sees him, Kakashi grow. Standing tall and proud. Calling her mother, in the warmth of a smile. And in her last heartbeat she feels it, for a last time, the warm of the tiny weeping body, the bundle of soiled sheets, her son's cry of farewell echoing in the reverberation of her last pulse is the gentlest and cruelest grace that life has bestowed upon her. And a farewell dies in her lips.

Baby kakashi hc, warnings for bad medical situations and character death

Kakashi's mum took a mission while pregnant, possibly without realising she was pregnant. It went wrong. Her team died and she was injured, gave birth to kakashi in hiding days away from the village, with no medical supplies.

She knew she wouldn't make it, so she summoned her ninken and asked them to take Kakashi to konoha, even though their contract would probably run out before they could get Kakashi there. They ended up negotiating a contract switch which ended up with Kakashi 'signing' the ninken contract (the alpha bitch helped to activate a surge of his chakra, and it's quite easy to prick a baby's finger to sign a contract).

Kakashi's mother died surrounded by ninken (hers, and now her sons), with her son in her arms. Her mission was successful, but not worth the price.

Looking at Kakashi's age at the beginning of "Naruto", I kind of want to make a "He was only 26??? He should have been at the club!!!" type of joke. But my immediate response to that is "The CLUB??? This man should be at the RETIREMENT HOME!!!" and I'm only like half-joking about that.

I think Kakashi could potentially have a great time volunteering at / hanging out at the ninja retirement home. (Statistically, some of them have to make it and/or get injured out of service.) He could be killing it at the cards and dice tables, taking naps on the couch under a pile of his dogs, swapping sexy novels with horny retirees, and complaining with his fellow war veterans about how much his body hurts. You are not getting this man into therapy, but it probably wouldn't hurt him to hang out with a 96-year-old woman who's thrilled to have someone nod along to her rant about how her soap opera radio show isn't bloody enough anymore and the jelly desserts aren't as good as they used to be either, just to put some things into perspective for him. He's so young! And I bet that the retirees would love hearing about his troublesome genin team and LOVE giving him advice of varying quality.

Honestly, I like to imagine that this is what post-canon Kakashi spends some of his time doing. Rokudaime Hokage Kakashi visits some retirement homes as a village leadership duty or because Gai is teaching some physical fitness classes, and this is new for him because he's never really known anyone who made it to retirement before, and Kakashi is almost immediately like, "Oh, fuck yeah, there's an erotic book club here!!! Where has this place been all my life???" He's signing up for water aerobics and the photography club. He's going to gardening shows and painting exhibitions. He's been a soldier since he was, like, 5 or 6 years old, but now he's going to learn how to crochet silly hats for his dogs and he's the celebrity judge for the lawn bowling tournament later. Awesome.

.:Kakashi Headcanon About His Mother:.

Kakashi has a small jewellery box from his mother. The box consists of all sorts of earrings. She was a huge fan of collecting the catchiest ones. She loved them all. Her favorites were a pair of silver drop-back dangle earrings Sakumo paid for because she was out of money. They weren’t a couple yet, but they were good friends, and he couldn’t stand the disappointment on her face when she realised she couldn’t afford them. After her passing, he’d very often go through the box of earrings while telling Kakashi about his mother’s obsession with collecting the most beautiful and funny earrings she stumbled upon.

Kakashi doesn’t know what to do with the box of earrings, but he keeps them within his apartment, tucked away on one of the shelves. It’s the only tangible memory he has of his mother and the stories told by his father.

This headcanon has been on my mind for a week as I'm slowly working on his mother's design and background story.

Team 8 [ 第8班 / 第八班 - Daihappan ]

Team 8, also known as Team Morino, is a ninja team from the Leaf Village, consisting of Sensei Itoya Morino and Shigeru Aburame (Shibi Abruame's younger brother) Rouna Inuiwa (of the branch clan of Inuzuka) her faithful wolf-dog Shiroi and Hisae Higa (one of many branch clans of the Hyūga Clan)

Regarded as a Team of geniuses by their own Sensei, who believes they are even more brilliant than he and his analytical mind is and will ever be, they specialize in tracking, searching and locating, blending Higa Hisae's byakugan (albeit of lower strength and power than that of the Hyūga Clan) Aburame Shigeru's bugs and Inuiwa's outstanding sense skills alongside Shiroi's. Becoming collectively a sharp and efficient Team.

However, despite the actual successful missions completed, among peers Team 8 is, due to the presence of branch Clan members and a tendency to denigrate and stigmatize based solely on social status, often named Team Trash. Class-mentality bullying so common that it becomes a habit that, though, Team 8 tries to ignore and, rather, counter by showing their professional competence.

United by shared personal struggles, a genuine and deep friendship has emerged between the three that makes them even more cohesive and resilient. Due also to character differences that well combine and balance each other, from Rouna's self-confident extrovertedness to Shigeru's calm thoughtful introvertedness to Hisae's benevolent and selfless kindness. A respect and flawless mutual understanding that made them, over time, not only an extremely efficient Team, with nearly the highest number of successful missions, but also valorous and fierce chūnin destined to become future superb and brilliant jōnin.

Whose names have already been recommended, at the outbreak of an imminent war, both by their Sensei and other respected members of Konohagakure's ninja community.

Naruto 405 // Iruka and Naruto

I'm always so emotional when I think about Iruka and Naruto relationship. He's always been there for Naruto since the start, and the first one to care and actually believe in Naruto, and be worried for him always. I love his character so much, to me he's the real father figure for Naruto ❤️

Poor Sakura, thinking she's going to just be a ninja and that's the end of it, probably experience a bit of romance.

Unbeknownst to her she gets put on a team with three orphans who are constantly on the verge of dying and she has to try and stop them.

Kakashi: *Fighting for his life and using up all his chakra.*

Sakura: Kakashi-sensei, please we need to retreat!!

Naruto: *Grows two tails and starts biting people.*

Sakura: Naruto, no! What have I told you about biting people!?

Sasuke: *Already on the floor bleeding to death.*
