Blue Man

Do you know why I keep on looking for the person who made me go to rehab?

I met a big man in the first rehab. More expensive rehab. He always gives chocolates. He has been in and out of rehab here in the Philippines and in the states. He reminded me of the blue man in 5 People you meet in heaven. Who send us to rehab? Worse than a criminal? rapist? robbers? killers? I just want answer for what happened that started before I left KZ.

On my second I did like this. Milder post in my FB newsfeed. Do you know how it feels to be unsecured? Because of that you brought me to rehab? Why I greeted a sister-in-law of a French? I asked a colleague who married a Briton? You don't want the connection? My grandfather's brother married an Australian woman, we had an older mother tongue. I don't know, shallow, but I mean, they are not flashy. Like everyone, they also live differently. Not all and not always affluent. My cousin/sister married a polish. I'm not after connection. No need for rehab. They want to remove me for running in other Kidzania? I might pretend? They can't give them a call? They don't want me to work in KZ Manila? or in theme park? You don't want me to have a candidate?

While I was in rehab or rather before rehab, I saw someone who lived like me in another country. I know the connection in the network who recognizes people abroad. they even have a channel abroad. Working overseas used to be our normal. Community's normal. But she fit most of the people that are in rehab. Children of their parents, Men who never work or rarely works. They lived with their working wife, parents, siblings and children.

In the first, the girls are the half japanese who had a long-time live-in partner, a single teen mom who likes to go clubbing, a teen who wants to elope, a big man who goes to casino with his father, a spoiled boy, a mother who looks like an addict whose tummy was whacked and that blue man... the rest I forgot.

In my second, a single half american mom, a rich addict whose mom has a rich boyfriend, a christian girl who always stay with her boyfriend, a beauty contestant, a cooking contestant abroad, a single married woman who is said to be married to a korean, a call center hustler, a graduate who said she had a sugar daddy, an old elegant solitary lady, a teen chinese girl, popular name and an only girl of a microbusiness family, well but she is still like a nanny.

They all fit that half american celebrity who was in guam while I was in Kuwait. Replace me? And me? live unsecurely? I have a life to live for my future. Are they expecting me to live like the Blue man whose purpose in life is to go back and forth in rehab, without any scandal or crime.

I just came home 6 months when it happened. Since I graduated, I worked for my family. I gave not as big as what the other can give but all I have in excess of my coffee and personal needs.

Who are the real americans? Citizens, born there? Can half american children born here in the Philippines, get the same passport? Get the same benefit?

Then she lived like anyone there.

Are you on his side? There in Middle East, Dua Lipa, did I bring her there? Why of all celebrity you, not others, Oh I'm sorry. Different family.

I still need to work for myself abroad. If there is a need to video all to show what, I'll do. I will. I just need to work and retire again. I mean for my retirement.

What Karma did I get when they thought I laid on the floor with men around? I was at the gym doing intense aerobics. Now I am sick.

What can celebrities do and know that they can pass to me? Clothes? Their travels? What else?

I lived and grew in a school. I have a big family who work abroad. I had enough. Some yellow lines even work with celebrities, the bags here gave depth to their personality. They liked them.

I need my security back.

AMAARAE - "CO-STAR"

Rachel Saywitz: "Co-Star" is for bad bitches, for cunty bitches, for lovely bitches, for me, I'm the bitch that will always be right out of Amaarae's periphery of paramours, because according to her, "Aries bitches bad / But damn, I'll pass please." It's hard to think you're a bad bitch on bad days, but "Co-Star" makes it easy -- the music sounds like it's a clear spring on a heavenly day, and Amaarae sounds like a goddess: she flutters, and teases, and sighs, and god, if I don't want to live in her delicate gasps and sharp tongue; she sings the chorus like she's distributing hot flashes on your skin. This is pop at its peak -- irreverent and sexy, perfect for dancing, fucking, for jumping alone in your room, for bobbing your head on the subway to get out all the nervous energy that comes after hanging out with a crush, for crying silently on the same subway after a bad day because you need to be reminded that you're a bad bitch. And I think the beauty of "Co-Star" is related to the latter, in its total acceptance of every sun and moon and star that you are -- no matter how much Amaarae teases, her motives are clear: she'll still have every part of you. [10]

William John: Maybe astrology is corny; maybe cramming a reference to each astrological sign into a three minute pop song as though it's an assignment for a creative writing class is cornier; maybe I'm ultimately far too entranced by the harp flutters and the pummelling, breathless chorus to care about corniness. [9]

Brad Shoup: Like "New Rules," but if it was only a hit on Twitter. [6]

Katherine St Asaph: This many astrological yuks and not a single Uranus joke. [3]

Hannah Jocelyn: "Mambo No. 5" with astrological signs instead of girls. Add two points for the Nina Sky reference, and one more for that kick drum, which lends the barrage of puns some actual weight and urgency. [7]

Michael Hong: Have you ever used Co-Star? The app is in no way just about horoscopes and prediction, but for the non-religious, it's a tool for connection. Astrological sign, like MBTI, isn't so much about understanding, but the invitation to understand -- "what's your sign?" is a shallow conversation starter in the same vein of "what school did you graduate from?" or "do you prefer cats or dogs?" When Amaraae runs through the signs here, it's like a roulette for her next interest -- the characteristics are unimportant, it's the connection that she's chasing after. "Co-Star" is passionate and heated the way any relationship built on astrological compatibility is. It's short and sounds like she's constantly chasing after immediate pleasure. Covered in sweat under the beat, the only thing left to say is, "I'm a Virgo, what's your sign?" [8]

Nortey Dowuona: Learning Cadenza was involved in this was excellent. He's produced "3210" by Jeshi, "Vibes" by Allan Kingdom, "Wet Vagina" by Doja Cat and "Where Did I Go" by Jorja Smith, which put her on the map -- at least for me. amaarae needed no such assist, she was already a star once she enlisted him, alongside KYU Steed and KZ the Producer to complete this song. All the above songs have loping, pulsing drum programming that feels hand played and slow despite the bpm, and Co-Star breaks from that to be a faster more driven song, slipping through 3 drum patterns -- afrobeat, tropical house and of course, amapiano log drums. (there's also an elongated bass line which is actually a trademark of his work.) And in a nice twist, the song is allowed to slowly close its curtains with the drums still twirling, the silky synth line settling onto the ground, closing with a stop -- but not a final one. [10]

Wayne Weizhen Zhang: This year, when it was finally my turn to select the book for my queer book club, I picked Larry Mitchell's "The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions," a fantastical fable about faggots, faggatinas, dykelets, faeries, women, and others making their way through the treacherous world of men. "Co-Star," with all of its cosmic revelations, seems like it'd naturally be the soundtrack for that fictional universe: abundant with its astrology, bumping with its beat, and generous with its humor. [7]

Micha Cavaseno: Post-afrobeats gone neuro-funk that loves to dissolve into the ether in a delightful fizz, but somehow manages to keep a weird bottom to it that feels constantly disintegrating yet still too rigid at the same time. It's a hallucinatory tantalization for 3 or 4 different ideas to land, and nothing is ever coming close. A great little trick, but unsure if it's the best thing to do for a song. [5]

Ian Mathers: Look, this is absolutely a bop but it is very funny to be going "baby, just tell me" right after you've just run through all of the signs and why they are mostly horrendous. There is just no way that is going to end well! [8]

Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: This is so damn frothy that I can't help but enjoy it -- it's not my favorite song off of Fountain Baby but I can't help but admire the way that she stacks her astrological puns, stringing them together like fighting game combos. Weirdly, though, I like the bits of "Co-star" where Amaarae gets away from her conceit better -- by the end, when she comes up for air, you almost want her to plunge back in again. [7]

Taylor Alatorre: I don't care for astrology, which is why I love this. I love that its conceit-based songwriting invites me to not take the subject matter too seriously, even as Amaarae herself clearly knows it well enough to write about it with such ease and finesse. By keeping things light and brisk and "air"-y at all times, she frees me from the burden of having to particularly care about the difference between a sun and a moon sign, allowing me to experience the lyrics as simply a fun little game of word association. The utter commitment to the bit, coupled with the level of confidence that it both requires and exposes, wears down any pre-existing resistance to being taken in by a gimmick, instead making me feel I've been granted entrance to a club I shouldn't be in. This is just nerdcore hip hop for women, and it pwns. [8]

Will Adams: Amaarae, on Libras: "Them Libra bitches horrible." Beyoncé, on Libras: "Fun like a Libra, he stays on my mind." I am being completely objective and unbiased in saying that I do not care too much for this "Co-Star" song! [5]

Dorian Sinclair: I experience some brief disappointment every time I hear "Co-Star" start up, because I am a sucker for interesting harp music and that conceit gets dropped almost immediately. I can't stay mad though, because I'm too busy being charmed by how hard Amaarae commits to her lyrical conceit. Basically every line in this song relates back to the core "astrology" theme, and that kind of adherence to message is something I can't help but respect, even if the song were not a bop (but it's a bop). Is that Sagittarius of me? I have no goddamn clue. But Amaarae would know! [7]

Joshua Minsoo Kim: It's weird to have watched Davido spend the past decade constantly finding ways to stretch his brand of Afrobeats, and to now find his music extremely traditional (tone: neutral) alongside the continued ascendance of Amaarae, Cruel Santino, and Odunsi (The Engine). The problem, though, is that alté's hit rate has never been so high: the songs are largely intriguing in their fashionable Afrofusion, but they rarely have the hooks to anchor the ideas. "Co-Star" showcases this well, as it walks a terribly thin line between featherlight and vaporous nothing. Amaarae's voice is too wispy for the synth to be pogoing so carefree; we already have harps and hi-hats -- why not something deeper to round out the song? Still, her delivery is just prickly and playful enough to transcend pure vibes. There's also something profound about hearing her sing about rising water levels as the synth pads embody that exact scenario. She comes out the other end of it with the same beatific tone, like she's dancing in the rain. That she longs for an air is perfect. After all, a water can help one trust their heart, right? [6]

Fraternity - Studentenverbindung

While studying communications engineering at an University of Applied Sciences, I joined a local fraternity. It was more the prospect of a room in their dormitory than conviction that prompted me to take this step. I left towards the end of my studies when I realized that the fraternity was taking up more time than was good for a successful completion of my studies. Nevertheless, it was a great time living there with students from a wide variety of disciplines, talking shop and partying.

With my fraternity I made trips to Prague and Copenhagen - because getting to know other countries and cultures is also part of education. In Prague I had been on a class trip 3-4 years earlier (before the fall of the Iron Curtain). At that time, almost the entire city center was still scaffolded for renovation. According to planning, the renovation should take about 10 years. On the second trip to Prague (after the fall of the Iron Curtain), the city center had already been renovated and shone in new splendor. Sometimes things happen much quicker as originally thought. The highlights of the trips were:

Visit to the former Theresienstadt concentration camp: a glimpse into Germany's dark past. Ideological and dogmatic blinding makes people do things that are hardly thought possible. That's why I'm almost allergic to anything ideological or dogmatic these days.

In Copenhagen we particularly enjoyed the nightlife and partied extensively with the locals. There is a great club, cafe and bar scene there. Scandinavian Lightness!

Während meinem Studium der Nachrichtentechnik an einer Fachhochschule für Technik trat ich einer dort ansässigen Studentenverbindung bei. Es war mehr die Aussicht auf ein Zimmer in deren Studentenwohnheim als Überzeugung, was mich damals zu diesem Schritt bewog. Ich trat auch gegen Ende des Studiums wieder aus, als ich merkte, dass mich die Studentenverbindung mehr Zeit kostete als es für einen erfolgreichen Anschluss meines Studiums gut war. Nichtsdestotrotz war es eine schöne Zeit mit Studenten unterschiedlichster Fachrichtungen dort zu wohnen, zu fachsimpeln und auch zu feiern.

Mit meiner Studentenverbindung unternahm ich Reisen nach Prag und Kopenhagen - denn das Kennenlernen anderer Länder und Kulturen gehört auch zur Bildung. In Prag war ich 3-4 Jahre zuvor (vor dem Fall des Eisernen Vorhangs) schon einmal auf Klassenfahrt. Damals war fast der komplette Stadtkern noch wegen Sanierung eingerüstet. Die Sanierung sollte nach Planung ca. 10 Jahre dauern. Auf der zweiten Pragreise (nach dem Fall des Eisernen Vorhangs) war der Stadtkern bereits schon saniert und erstrahlte im neuen Glanz. Manchmal gehen die Dinge schneller, als man denkt. Die Highlights der Reisen waren:

Hören von „Die Moldau“ im Smetana-Museum in Prag und Blick dabei auf die Moldau und die Karlsbrücke, die sie überquert. Ist das Leben an sich nicht wie ein Fluss?

Besuch des ehemaligen KZ Theresienstadt: ein Blick in die dunkle Vergangenheit Deutschlands. Ideologische und dogmatische Verblendung lässt Menschen Dinge tun, die man kaum für möglich hält. Deshalb reagiere ich heutzutage geradezu allergisch auf alles Ideologische oder Dogmatische.

In Kopenhagen haben wir besonders das Nachtleben genossen und ausgiebig zusammen mit dem Einheimischen gefeiert. Es gibt dort eine tolle Klub-, Cafe- und Bar-Szene. Skandinavische Leichtigkeit!

Everything Everything – Raw Data Feel

Everything Everything schwebte in den letzten Jahren immer wieder mal wie ein Geist über mir. Ihr erstes Album MAN ALIVE implodierte 2010 in den völlig von Indie und Electro durchgespültem Gehörgängen und lieferten mit MY KZ UR BF einen der Jahrzehntsongs, zu dem ich immer wieder zurückkehrte. Hier war alles ein wenig theatralischer, experimenteller, zudem ätzte der hohe Gesang  die meisten Leute an, denen ich begeistert weitere Songs wie PHOTOSHOP HANDSOME oder Songs von darauffolgenden Alben wie COUGH COUGH (in dem tatsächlich viel gehustet wird) oder DISTANT PAST zeigte.

Dieses Jahr stolperte ich eher zufällig über das neue Album RAW DATA FEEL, was ganz typisch für 2022 natürlich ein besonderes Thema in den Vordergrund rückte: Künstliche Intelligenz. Eine AI schrieb die Texte für das Album, was man natürlich gerne als kleinen PR-Stunt verstehen kann, selbst wenn es stimmen sollte. Abseits davon liefert die Band eines ihrer eingängigsten Alben ab mit Songs, die ihren Backkatalog überstrahlen werden: TELETYPE als treibende, dennoch wehmütige und immer tanzbare Eröffnung, I WANT A LOVE LIKE THIS wäre einer der wenigen Songs, die mich jetzt noch in einen Club treiben würden und PIZZA BOY ist so catchy, dass es fast schon weh tut.

Wet Leg – Wet Leg

Man kennt es ja – Musikblogs und die letzten Reste der Musikzeitschriften, die man sich vor Jahren noch regelmäßig gegeben hat, ehe man keine Lust mehr hatte über alles aber nicht über Musik zu lesen, überschlagen sich alle gleichzeitig und fabulieren beinahe monatlich – ach, wöchentlich – über DIE Entdeckung des Jahres, bei der sich gelangweilte Musikredakteure in das gewohnte „Ich kannte die schon, da waren die noch cool / underground / hörbar“ flüchten können, wenn sie dumm auf Konzerten herumstehen.  Ab und an treffen sie mit diesen Vorhersagen aber das Bullseye der Vorhersagungs-Hype-Dartscheibe. Wet Leg liefern mit ihrem Debütalbum einen sehr frischen Take auf den eigentlich schon komplett ausgenudelten Indie-Rock. ANGELICA und UR MUM bilden hierbei das starke Hit-Fundament und gehören eigentlich auf jede gute Party, ehe WET DREAM auch den letzten Tanzmuffel aus der letzten Ecke auf den Dancefloor zieht. Es ist beinahe unverschämt, wie groß die Hit-Dichte auf diesem Debütalbum ist und beinahe noch unverschämter, wie viel Lust diese Band live macht.

Black Country, New Road – Ants From Up There

Stell dir vor, du bringst ein Album im gleichen Jahr wie Arcade Fire heraus – nur, dass dein Album wesentlich mehr nach Arcade Fire klingt als es die eigentliche Band noch hinbekommt (die mit WE im Übrigen für eine der größten Enttäuschungen des Jahres gesorgt hat). ANTS FROM UP THERE fängt eine einzigartige Atmosphäre ein, die irgendwo zwischen Hoffnung, Aufbruch, Ekstase und kompletter Zerfaserung und Zerstörung liegt, die man vermutlich auf komplette Albumlänge auf sich wirken lassen muss. Dennoch sticht gerade der überragende Anfang des Album heraus. CHAOS SPACE MARINE wirkt fast so, als hätte man von Win Butler einen Hit erpresst und CONCORDE hat nicht nur ein sehr sehenswertes Video, sondern füllt einen mit einer ähnlichen Wärme aus wie ein warmer Tee, den man nach einer sehr langen Wanderung durch strömenden Regen zuhause trinkt. Da wirkt es beinahe tragisch, dass Sänger und Gitarrist Isaac Wood kurz vor dem Release die Band verlassen hat und es keine Tour zu diesem großartigen Album gegeben hat.

Katy J. Pearson – Sound of the Morning

Im vorletzten Jahr landete noch das 2020-Album und gleichzeitige Debüt von Katy J. Pearson an beinahe an der Spitze meiner persönlichen Liste von Lieblingsalben, da mich Songs wie BEAUTIFUL SOUL oder SOMETHING REAL nicht losgelassen haben und sich in positivster Art und Weise bei mir einbrannten. Wenn man so ein starkes Debüt gehört hat, ist die Angst natürlich groß, beim Nachfolger enttäuscht zu werden, da die Erwartungen, ähnliche Hits hören zu wollen, natürlich riesengroß und unrealistisch sind. Selten wurden die Erwartungen aber so übertroffen wie mit SOUND OF THE MORNING. Die ersten Singles TALK OVER TOWN oder GAME OF CARDS steigerten die Vorfreude auf einen sehr guten Zweitling, der einen meiner Lieblingssongs des Jahres bereit hielt: FLOAT ist so aufgeladen, so voller Sehnsucht und Wehmut, dass es einem fast den Atem raubt, baut sich vor einem auf und reißt einen mit in einen wilden Wirbel der Gefühle. CONFESSION und ALIGATOR runden dieses wirklich hervorragende Album ab und man fragt sich – Kann man da noch einen drauf setzen? Ich habe keine Zweifel.

Betterov – Olympia

Es gibt selten Alben, die einem beim ersten Hören direkt einfangen und nicht mehr loslassen - Olympia von Betterov ist eins dieser Alben. Die Indie-Hymnen (SCHLAF GUT, BRING MICH NACH HAUSE) sind wieder zurück und gekommen, um zu bleiben. Dabei gibt es haufenweise Textzeilen, die man sich wahlweise in die Instagram-Bio schreiben oder auf diverse Körperstellen tätowieren lassen könnte. Beispiel gefällig?

Neben den angesprochenen Hymnen gibt es allerdings auch Tracks, die „mehr nach vorne“ gehen, wie man früher zu sagen pflegte: IN MEINER STRAßE kommentiert den Tattoo-Wahn auf herrlich schrille Art und Weise, BIS ZUM ENDE nimmt sich der Vergänglichkeit der Zeit, der eigenen Sterblichkeit an.

Die Nerven – Die Nerven

Die Wut ist zurück. Die unbändige Wut auf Ungerechtigkeit, Dummheit, Selbstgefälligkeit und Arroganz. Auf dem schlicht selbst betitelten Album mit schwarzem Schäferhund (Ich kenne leider keine Hunderassen) besingen die Nerven Anklagen (EUROPA, ICH STERBE JEDEN TAG IN DEUTSCHLAND), Wehklagen (KEINE BEWEGUNG)  und Starrsinn (GANZ EGAL) und damit einen guten Querschnitt dessen, was in den letzten Jahren den gesellschaftlichen Diskurs bestimmt hat. Dieses Album ist ein nicht nur ein Statement, es ist pure Haltung in knackige 38 Minuten gepresst und lässt einen zu keiner Sekunde kalt.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – Omnium Gatherum

Wer sein Album mit einem 18-minütigen Track beginnt, scheint längst über den Punkt hinweg, an dem man sich noch um irgendetwas schert – und das im positivsten Sinne. In einem wie so oft veröffentlichungsreichen Jahr (BUTTERFLY 3000, BUTTERFLY 3001, MADE IN TIMELAND, ICE, DEATH, PLANETS, LUNGS, MUSHROOMS AND LAVA, LAMINATED DENIM, CHANGES) schmeißen King Gizzard wieder mit Musikgenres um sich wie Kraftklub mit Referenzen auf Mike Skinner. THE DRIPPING TAP nimmt einem mit auf eine wilde Fahrt, ehe mit MAGENTA MOUNTAIN und KEPLER 22b folkige Smoothness angetäuscht wird, ehe wir mit GAIA wieder zurück zum Metal finden. SADIE SORCERESS blickt kurz Richtung Hip-Hop, PREDATOR X packt dann schon wieder die Riffs aus. King Gizzard bleiben die leckere gemischte Tüte vom Kiosk um die Ecke, in der man immer wieder leckere Süßigkeiten findet.

The Mars Volta – The Mars Volta

Eine Rückkehr aus dem Nichts. The Mars Volta, die mit DE-LOUSED IN THE COMATORIUM und FRANCES THE MUTE zwei meiner Lieblingsalben vor gut zwanzig bzw. achtzehn Jahren geschaffen haben und danach – zumindest für mich – immer weiter in die Bedeutungslosigkeit fadeten, ehe sie sich auflösten, tauchten erst mit zaghaften Singles und dann direkt wieder mit einem Album auf. Der Sound ist wieder zurück, wirkt aber bei weitem nicht mehr so getrieben, rau und ekstatisch sondern liefert teilweise solide Pop-Nummern im alten Gewand von schnellen Drums, sphärischen Klängen und dem einzigartigen Gesang von Cedric Bixler-Zavala – besonders deutlich beim geheimen Hit vom Album: GRAVEYARD LOVE.

Tocotronic – Nie wieder Krieg

2018 brachte mich DIE UNENDLICHKEIT wieder zurück in die Toco-Spur, nachdem ich mich die Jahre zuvor immer weiter entfremdete und keinen wirklichen Zugang zu der verschachtelten, träumerischen Musik fand, die Tocotronic mittlerweile produzierten. DIE UNENDLICHKEIT holte den alten Sound wieder zurück und NIE WIEDER KRIEG knüpft daran an, als wäre zwischen beiden Alben nur eine Woche vergangen. KOMM MIT IN MEINE FREIE WELT, ICH HASSE ES HIER sowie NACHTFLUG wirken aus der Zeit von KOOK kommend und auch hier darf die Hyme nicht fehlen: NIE WIEDER KRIEG ist ein Plädoyer zur Selbst- und Nächstenliebe.

Эпоха, когда учитель делал все за ученика, подходит к концу. Постепенно разные школы Казахстана внедряют нововведения, развивающие в детях критическое мышление и навык обучаемости. Так, новая система GSE ставит своей целью сделать школьников самостоятельными и научить их думать не только на русском и казахском, но и на английском языках. Эту систему официально внедрили в Tamos: 28 мая состоялось торжественное объявление о стратегическом партнерстве школы с Некоммерческой Образовательной Ассоциацией Swiss Innovators Club (Швейцария) и образовательной организацией FEYDEY (Калифорния, США).

Наша редакция посетила это мероприятие и приняла участие в пресс-конференции, чтобы рассказать вам о том, какие инновации сегодня совершают революцию в сфере классического образования.

Что такое GSE?

GSE, или Global Secondary Education, предоставляет ученикам Tamos возможность проходить дисциплины на английском языке по программе K-12. Закрыв все требования по «кредитам» (дисциплинам), выпускник получит сразу два диплома: государственный Казахстанский и диплом средней школы США. Нововведение принято с целью улучшения академического опыта учеников. Так, Mr.Oliver Rubli, вице-президент Swiss Innovators Club, считает, что такая система позволит сформировать в ученике сильную личность:

Спасибо за то, что вы так тщательно относитесь к формированию современной личности ученика, выбирая международных партнеров, анализируя возможности детей и педагогов к обучению на английском языке. Это открывает двери к уникальному обучению школьников в топовых казахстанских и зарубежных университетах. Ведь сегодня это прямая дорога к успеху. В современном мире крайне важными становятся критическое мышление, адаптация знаний и умений к реалиям жизни. Очень важно в школьниках развить способности самостоятельного управления учебным процессом, идентификации пробелов и проблем, а также умелого нахождения их решений,

сказал он в своей вступительной речи, обращаясь к руководству школы Tamos.

Генеральный директор школ Tamos, Бауыржан Сериков отметил, что благодаря новому стратегическому партнерству ученики школы Tamos будут обучаться по американской программе GSE. Это, в свою очередь, откроет перед ними возможности изучать дисциплины на английском языке по одной из лучших образовательных программ обучения К-12. Ученики школы Tamos наравне с государственным дипломом Казахстана будут получать диплом средней школы США.

Важность умения мыслить

Образовательные проекты, внедряемые школой Tamos, направлены на усиленное изучение дисциплин на английском языке, популяризацию самообразования и развитие креативного мышления. Эти и другие качества лежат в основе успешной личности.

По мнению George Makhviladze, президента Swiss Innovators Club, важно с детства учить ребенка самостоятельности. В системе GSE ученик будет сам проходить темы и выполнять тесты к ним. При этом Mr.George рекомендует родителям не брать этот процесс под строгий контроль.

Родители, дайте своим детям кредит доверия. Они сами хотят быть успешными и могут заниматься в свое удовольствие Дайте им возможность потихоньку самостоятельно работать

По словам президента Swiss Innovators Club, в школах СНГ учебный процесс зачастую полностью контролируется учителями. Детям говорят, что, когда и как делать, поэтому они не могут научиться самостоятельности, а также навыку поиска и взаимодействия с информацией. А из-за страха получить плохую отметку ребенок и вовсе боится задать интересующие вопросы, чтобы не показать свое непонимание темы. А потому, ставит перед собой цель получить «пятерку», а не понять тему как можно глубже. Новая же система снимает с детей «оковы» двоек и троек. Теперь дети смогут, не боясь критики, глубже погружаться в тему. И заинтересованы они будут именно в том, чтобы усвоить материал.

Цена образования

Качественные знания, свобода мышления и два диплома, которые котируются в мировых университетах и будут учитываться при поступлении — звучит отлично. Однако, у всего есть цена. В данном случае ученикам придется вкладывать 3-5 дополнительных часов в неделю в обучение дисциплинам на английском языке — помимо основных уроков и домашних заданий. Ведь кроме казахстанской программы будет необходимо пройти англоязычную. язык

На пресс-конференции, отвечая на вопрос редакции ER10 Media о том, насколько сложен такой подход, George Makhviladze уверяет, что он будет удобен школьникам. Ведь сначала они пройдут темы на родном языке с местными преподавателями. А затем дети будут изучать материал на английском самостоятельно. Даже если ученикам встретятся неизвестные темы на английском языке, учителя будут рядом, чтобы оказать помощь и поддержку. К слову, для учителей внедрили трехступенчатую систему погружения в GSE, рассчитанную на три года. С ее помощью местные преподаватели мягко перейдут от старой к новой модели и научатся объяснять темы на английском. Так, это приведет к формированию уникальной языковой экосистемы в школе и более глубокому взаимодействию учеников и учителей, повысит качество получаемых знаний.

Наш стандарт немного опережает американский, и дети будут изучать уже пройденный материал, но на английском языке. Это позволит не только усвоить язык, но обогатить словарь, кругозор, и углубиться в дисциплине.

Возможно, что в начале школьники прибегнут к списыванию, чтобы решать тесты нового формата. George Makhviladze не исключает и это. Однако, по его словам, не стоит переживать, если это произойдет. Даже в таком случае ребенок ознакомится с материалом на английском и постарается вникнуть в суть. Поэтому родителям и учителям так важно не «беспокоить» школьников излишним контролем. Давая свободу и возможность управлять своими проектами, система GSE позволяет детям по-настоящему научиться самостоятельно работать с заданиями разного рода и погрузиться в дисциплины на английском языке. Несмотря на то, что обучение в рамках GSE будет проводиться на английском языке и выпускники получат двойной диплом, школа Tamos воспитывает в учениках культурные ценности.
