#KILLIAN JONES: VERSES.

an infamous pirate across all seven seas, killian jones was not always captain hook. a man with a code, he braved through the seas in search of riches and found something infinitely more valuable instead: love. it was upon losing it that his legend turned somber and his spirit voracious. without care for anything other than his insatiable thirst for revenge, the captain is a charming man capable of being terrible. there are no limits as to what he wouldn't do to achieve his revenge –  his heart has turned rotten, and there may be no salvation for it.

" his eyes were the blue of the forget-me-not, and of a profound melancholy, save when he was plunging his hook into you, at which time two red spots appeared in them and lit them up horribly. in manner, something of the great seigneur still clung to him, so that he even ripped you up with an air, and I have been told he was a raconteur of repute. he was never more sinister than when he was most polite, which is probably the truest test of breeding. "

𝙿𝙾𝚁𝚃𝚁𝙰𝚈𝙰𝙻 𝙽𝙾𝚃𝙴𝚂: my portrayal of killian will blend both his show canon as well as elements from his character from the j.m barrie's novel, the dark and sinister man that he can be. i love both versions dearly and will adjust depending on verses –  quite happy to make him his softer self when interacting with other ouat characters. also, in regards to his romantic journey on the show, i assume nothing with emma roleplayers! although i love cs, i do prefer to plot their dynamics a little before jumping into canon territory.

STORYBROOKE, the first curse › JAMES ROGERS is an underpaid police deputy with a bad attitude and an affinity for rum. By day, he works at storybrooke’s police station with a perpetual frown on his face and an unwillingness to truly be of service to the community. while sheriff graham is ever the golden boy, well-liked by the people in the little town, rogers stands as the unpopular ne'er- do-well half who’d much rather be at a gig in the rabbit hole than patrolling the three streets of storybrooke. in the evenings, he is the lead singer of local rock band the buccaneers, who can’t for the life of them make it past the town border with their music. must be the curse, of course. not the fact that they're just really not that good.

DARK AND SINISTER MAN, the captain › this verse intends to cover his days as a pirate navigating through the seas. could be pretty much based on any form of worlds, as the jolly roger is equipped with magical properties that allow for interdimensional traveling between realms. he will solely go by captain hook in this portion of his story, at his most malicious.

AU VERSES UNDER THE CUT:

THE FEVER, THE RAGE, gotham / dc › detective killian jones was a stand-up member of the gcpd. dedicated and incorruptible, he and his brother liam did all they could to maintain their code of honor and fight for what's right. but in a rotten city, such is a fool's errand. the duo is tragically separated when liam is killed in an mob ambush that costs killian not only his brother, but his hand. jones becomes insatiable after the fact, thirsty for revenge. he abandons all forms of morality he knows and becomes determined to make those who killed liam pay for their crime.

killian soon becomes the thing he's hunting. after taking down the operations of mobster known as rumplestiltskin through less than orthodox means, he takes the crown for himself. leaving behind his life of crime-fighting, killian turns the tide. the club once owned by rumple becomes his, and is aptly renamed THE ROGER, a pirate themed environment that is befitting of its new captain: HOOK, for now the detective wears one in the place of his left hand. he becomes gotham city's brand new mobster, with a small gang of his own and a reputation he intends to only make more gruesome.

FABLETOWN'S HOOK, vertigo's fables › Captain Hook is more accustomed to the mundane world than most. For one, he goes by the name of KILLIAN JONES rather than his more colourful moniker. For another, he found a way to sail swimmingly in the waters of the new world; though it did take some time for him to find this particular set of sea legs. Hook came into his money during the 20th century, where the age of the internet came to be and he embarked on it readily. 

Killian became incredibly apt at computer science, his interest in the subject being sparked by the sheer interest in exploiting this new age to its fullest  –  specifically, to his advantage. He saw the opportunity in virtual piracy, having become ( arguably ) the first internet pirate. He started out with a small, simple scams, but as the technology progressed and the phenomenon of the internet grew bigger than anyone could possibly imagine, so did Hook’s empire. Though most his business is integrated well within the mundane world, Killian still lives in Fabletown, New York City. He owns an apartment at the Woodland, and his most trusted assistant is one Mr. Smee. His company was made on shaky grounds, morally and legally, but now boasts a reputation for being an exquisite virtual security company ( thanks to the viruses Killian himself releases ) as well as developer. The government of Fabletown is very generous to him, counting on his yearly donations at Remembrance Day to keep things afloat.

THE WORLD IS QUIET HERE, asoue › Killian Jones is an active VOLUNTEER of the secret organisation known as VFD. He is the younger brother of Liam Jones, who was the sole reason why Killian stayed on the fire fighting side of the schism rather than the alternative, which really would have suited the man’s inclination for trouble and insubordination much better. However, as it often occurs in the life of a volunteer, Killian had the misfortune of outliving his brother. Liam was one the first casualties of the schism, having been killed under mysterious circumstances aboard a sailing boat with little else around him but a fish hook, a compass and an out of place string of tagliatelle grande. Killian mourned his brother as any in his situation would: solidifying his position in the fire-fighters' side and becoming one of its most active field operatives. The desire to avenge his brother’s death still simmers underneath the surface, making the last standing Jones very willing to eliminate the threat that the fire starters pose on the first opportunity that arises, though the chance never quite seems to come about.

THE NEED FOR SPEED, top gun › lieutenant killian "hook" jones is a legacy of the top gun program, being the brother of the late liam jones, who died honorably in battle ( although killian has his doubts about calling it that ). with his heart in the skies, killian is a reckless pilot who attempts one too many risky maneuvers. he is bold, he is brash and he is damn charming. doesn't give a damn about anything other than himself or his bird.

FORTUNE AND GLORY, mercenary › set on modern days, killian jones is an infamous mercenary with a dodgy past that he keeps close to his chest. no one really know why he does what he does, but he's the best at it. killian is an incredible sailor and performs most his assignments and operations through the seas, which sets him apart from the competition. A MODERN DAY PIRATE in his own right. if you need something recovered by any means necessary, he's your guy.

"Ready to fucking rock out tonight!" Killian said in his instagram reel, sporting heavy black eye makeup and taking on the punk rock style on his way to the concert. A band he's been dying to see for quite awhile and they finally came to europe. Shortly after posted he could see all the likes and comments blowing up. He was quite the popular guy online, millions of thirsty followers enjoyed his content that was mostly fashion, travel and workouts. When you look so good might as well make money off of it.

Money well spent on this ticket, he'd be in the pit but hopefully close enough to the stage to enjoy the sexy lead singer. He'd be enjoying the show and afterwords one could bet he'd be doing his best to get himself back stage. There was no way he'd be missing this opportunity to hook up with a real rock star like Edward.

Luv ya mate I eat this stuff up :) Gonna stick it under a read more because it turned out to be a long post, like I said I love thinking about these guys. Plus, I know A/B/O universe isn't everyone's thing, so for those who don't partake you can just skip it, it's all chill. As you will see, I answered both parts of this because I am simply rabid for soulmates AUs and I couldn't resist.

I haven't really thought about A/B/O universe stuff for this pairing yet (which is not to say I will not ever in depth, because I like messing around with the dynamics in that kind of universe in my head even tho I've never actually written a fic for it) but like off the top of my head I 100% would steal that thing from The Miller's Daughter and have Hook pledge his firstborn child to Rumple in exchange for a magical favor, as an omega who's never been through a heat before and doesn't believe that he ever will, only for some plant on Neverland or smthn to trigger his first one and since he already made that deal, he realizes the only alpha who's an acceptable mate for him is Rumple, because if they form a bond then maybe, just maybe, Rumple will let him have visitation rights or something. Rumple agrees reluctantly, mostly because he's still working through the issues of letting Bae go, but in the end if he's going to take any resulting child from this heat from Killian, he wants it to be his child and not some random person's. Of course Rumple falls hard for him as he's staying at the castle to recuperate after his heat, but doesn't want to put himself in the vulnerable position of admitting his feelings. Rumple, being magical and because I say so, knows immediately that Hook is indeed carrying his child, and he comes up with the excuse of "well you promised this kid to me so you have to stay here until it's born so I know you're not going to try to abscond with my goods, plus it's going to be mine in the future so I need to make sure you're taking care of it for me now," and Hook buys it because when a guy will take your firstborn child in a bargain, why wouldn't he say that. He falls in love with Rumple over the next nine months, and gradually starts to see through the Dark One veneer as he realizes that Rumple's loved him the whole time, and that's why he's been so fussy (in his own weird way). After the birth (two girls, I think) Rumple stands there watching Hook cradle the babies in his arms, and he says "you know, you've technically already given me a child, after a fashion, by carrying and birthing it, I don't have to actually keep either of them, it would totally mess with my schedule for arranging the Dark Curse anyway," because he hasn't figured out yet that his feelings are reciprocated. Hook argues that a pirate is a man of his word, but suggests they make a small adjustment to the deal: I'll give you my firstborn and my second born and any other children I have because I'm giving myself to you. And they live evilly ever after lol.

As for soulmate AUs, I have already done one of the ones where each person starts to see color only because they meet their soulmate, it is possibly one of my finest works of fanfiction and I'm ridiculously proud of it, but I'm always happy to meditate on other forms of soulmate AU.

I kind of like the idea of a soulmate AU where the mark that appears on each person's skin is something that will only make sense to them once they actually know their soulmate, because that just makes it so much more complicated to actually figure out who your soulmate is. So Rumple would have an image of a sextant right above his heart, and Hook would have...his is a little harder, because Rumple didn't have many material possessions that he was really attached to, but maybe he has...herm, I'm gonna go dramatic on this one and say he has the image of the Dark Curse scroll on his wrist because as far as I can remember (and I could be wrong about this lol) it was not common knowledge that Rumple was behind the curse, I think most people just thought it was Regina, but at the very least nobody really knew why Rumple wanted it cast, so that is something Hook would have to figure out over time.

Ngl I also enjoy the idea of them in an AU where your soulmate's name is on your skin from like the moment you're born, so Rumple would have Killian Jones written on him and Hook would have Rumplestiltskin, they have antagonism of an unspecified nature (idk, maybe it's like the original except Milah only ever refers to Rumple as "the coward" or "my ex-husband" because it ruins the suspense if Hook knows) and as usual it runs all the way into the Curse and when Hook comes to Storybrooke to kill Rumple, because Hook never learned the Dark One's name, and Rumple only heard Hook referred to as "Captain" or "Captain Hook," so neither of them connected the dots. Bonus points if Hook raids Rumple's old village at least a hundred years into his magically extended lifespan, and he finds this old-ass ledger with a record of births in it, and in his infinite wisdoms doesn't realize that this guy who was born a little over a hundred years ago is the same bastard who's also been living a lot longer than he should. I just love the idea of how many narrative hoops they would have to jump through in order to not learn they were each other's soulmate until let's say the moment Hook stabs him; then he catches sight of the name Jones somewhere on Rumple's skin, maybe on his collarbone where people normally wouldn't see it, but he just got stabbed so his shirt has shifted, and of course Hook knows it's himself, but he has to confirm, so he none-too-gently shreds more of Rumple's shirt and yep, there it is, Killian Jones. And then Hook turns right round and decides you know what, I've spent most of my life believing my soulmate lived and died ages before I existed, I'm not going to let him die now even if he is the Dark One, and he fights with the heroes against Cora and he definitely kills her instead of or maybe with Snow.

Honestly Emma had never expected to find happiness let alone a place to actually call home like she had in Storybrooke. After work, Emma decided to head over to Granny's for a drink to unwind. That was when she seen the pirate sitting at the bar and, the blonde looked right back at him. Making her way over to him now. Hopefully he wouldn't mind her company.

"Well, this is just fate meeting here like this." She stated, sitting down next to him now. "Do you mind if I join you for a drink?"

Stays behind to help the sheriff protect her home. loves and cares for her sister dearly, and truly just needs a happy ending for herself but she believes she doesn't deserve it.

The ending we all saw didn't happen. Dean and Sam grow up to be old and continue hunting with Castiel as their guardian angel. However, in my verses, he's alive and doing well. Just like wynonna earp, his job is to protect people he cares about and write his own damn ending. Not the one that was written for him.

Supernatural plots for sure, crossover with everyone as long as he gets to be his pie-lovin' monster killin, sarcastic, witty self.

Judith Grimes - 18 - IMPORTANT - she is too young for anything NSFW however I chose to write her simply because I wanted the Grimes family legend to go on. Warrior, fighter, kick ass walker hunter out there to save the world. Verse dependent, will need heavy plotting if things were to get serious in a romantic type of way. Simply bc this teenage girl is out there trying to live as opposed to finding love. So plotting is a must!

This might be stupid of me to think but... Is the heroes and villains verse Regina even really Regina?

Like obviously they're the same person but can main Regina really be given credit for the heroes and villains verse Regina's actions?

I've seen people praise Regina for her actions/behavior there but it doesn't really make sense to me given that everyone else was really out of character in that written by people who don't really know them sort of way (i.e written by Isaac / others who didn't know/care about them).

Again this probably makes no sense but I wanted to hear others options on it.

Are we talking about Regina recast as Snow White in the S4 AU?

I never found Regina's actions praise worthy no matter what Henry writes at the end. And why is that?

Regina went to that church because she wanted her happy ending. Regina then ends up sacrificing herself for Henry. Not anyone else. Just Henry. And to that I say, whoopdee doo. It's not a sacrifice for the greater good and of course she is going to protect a child since she's been re-programmed to be Snow White.

Lets say this was in essence Regina. Again it was only for Henry and to be fair this action is consistent with Regina putting Henry first ONLY when it comes to Henry about to die. Regina is going to do something to prevent that just like she did in the S2 finale because she can't live without Henry's love. Let's not forget that she ignored Henry and only listened when it was her happiness on the line. So does that sound like the real Regina? Yeah it kinda does.

For consistency sake, do we consider Deckhand Hook to really be Hook? I mean, yes, it is our Hook but he's been reprogrammed by the author into being someone completely different. Yet, he was the one that immediately believed Henry, felt an immediate connection with Emma and straight away sacrificed himself for Henry and Emma.

Personally? I like to think Emma and Henry's love reached him and he just felt an immediate connection to them both because no matter what the author wrote his connection to them was stronger.

What about Snowing? They didn't spend enough time with Emma but maybe if they had they'd have also made a connection with her? But if we're to believe that Regina is to be praised for what her AU self did then shouldn't we be condemning Snowing? But we don't and neither did Emma. She even tells them "I think we both know what happened in that world was not real."

So I guess my final answer is.... the characters have been reprogrammed. IMHO they are not responsible for their actions because they are under the author's control.

HOWEVER.

Killian Jones was reprogrammed to be a coward yet bravely sacrifices his life. In my opinion, this is worth far more than Regina's sacrifice for Henry when she's re-programmed to be Snow White.

Most importantly we can enjoying the fact that nothing can stop true love from emerging! And CaptainSwan embodied that in this episode.

I would LOVE to hear others thoughts on this too because I haven't seen much discussion about it other than Regina being praised and Killian's sacrifice overlooked or rejected by Regina Apoligists.

Jefferson acquaintance headcanon

My take on Jefferson is heavily inspired by the one from ONCE (portrayed by Seb Stan) and back then, I was a huge madhook shipper despite the two never actually meeting. So, it shouldn't come to any surprise, Killian Jones making an appearance in my verse| take.

The two have met once or twice in passing and on one occasion the two bonded over some ale and shrooms over at the bar [The Hookah] where Cheshire works. The pair appear to have gotten on quite well.

I want to do something special for the 100th fic. Something crazy. Maybe some kind of batshit insane crossover that no one else would attempt, but I don't know what.

I could always brush off the "Doppelgangers" verse (which doesn't really deserve to be called such since it only has one fic written.) It was fun imagining bringing various characters from other films/shows played by OUAT actors to Storybrooke. Heck, I'm in the middle of watching the Child's Play/Chucky movies; that has a major OUAT connection that could lead to me setting Chucky loose in Storybrooke.

...that sounds fun, actually.

Or I could brush off that Superman Killian Jones fic I came up with back when we had the Colin as Superman rumors.

Here is a general overview of what's in this AU and some of what's changed in canon. I won't be re-explaining the entire show (I don't hate myself that much) but when it becomes relevant and/or I have an idea, I will put it here. Like I said in the description, let me know if you need anything tagged

If you have any questions about this AU, the characters, the ships, please ask me! My dumb brain can't remember everything I've come up for from this AU, and answering questions helps me cement everything in my head.

Rewrites: This section's gonna be a doozy, so I'm splitting it into three sections; Timeline, Character, and Plot

Timeline *sounds of crying come from the distance*

Timeline and ages are two of the worst documented things in this show. I'm not even going to try with the older characters, but for the younger characters, an attempt was made, starting with Lily's birth and abandonment in 1982, Land Without Magic (LWM) Time.

My AU takes place twenty years after Season 1, so around 2031 LWM Time.

Some of this is headcanon, and most of this is probably wrong, but this works for me, so don't correct me and make this even more complicated than it already is plz.

Character: I am not a huge fan of the multiverse, let me just say that now.

Trying to retcon everyone I liked from Season 7 into the same universe as the rest of the show was daunting (I'm looking at you, Jacinda) but the way I see it is this: Like the show said, there are so many different versions of fairytales out there, but there are also similar fairytales that have nothing to do with each other except common tropes (like Allerleirauh and Cinderella for instance.)

So maybe Alice Liddell and Alice Jones can exist in the same universe, because while they both are called Alice and went to Wonderland, they have totally different stories.

(This entire block of text was mainly about the whole Jacinda/Ella and Ashley/Ella situation)

Alice Jones (mega rewrite incoming): Alice is the twin sister of Hope (older by thirty minutes), and is the daughter of Emma and Killian. She is the new Savior. Gothel kidnaped Alice when she was a month old, and raised her in a tower in the Enchanted Forest for twelve years, just like Rapunzel in Tangled.

When Alice was twelve, she overheard Gothel saying that she was kidnaped, and was able to use her powers to escape. She tried to portal home, but ended up in Wonderland, because her favorite book was Alice in Wonderland, and so she considered it 'home.'

Alice lived in Wonderland for four years, until Will and Anastasia found her and took her to Storybrooke, where she was reunited with her family.

I also thought the whole "hey look at my Guardian OC, they're even more powerful than saviors and they can't be affected by dark magic and they have unlimited power and-" was suuuper dull. So, Alice is a Savior, just like her momma. And this way, it creates a dramatic irony that Gothel, who took Alice to save her own skin, ended up taking the Savior who is destined to destroy her.

Regina: So, it's been a while since I've seen some of the later seasons of OUAT, but as far as I remember...Regina never wanted to be queen, right? Obviously she regrets not being a good queen to her people, but becoming queen was always what Cora wanted for her: Regina herself just wanted to be loved.

So I found it kind of odd that, at the end of Season 7, Regina became the queen of every realm. As cathartic as it is for Regina to receive the title of "The Good Queen" rather than "The Evil Queen," I kind of feel like this is a hollow attempt to give Regina her Happy Ending (after A&E killed her actual Happy Ending off, of course.)

I really feel like the best ending for Regina would be for her to remain Storybrooke's mayor. She can still be a leader and make up for her mistreatment of her people, and I feel like she can do that even better as mayor; she can hear them out and take their criticisms much easier as mayor than Queen. Additionally, being the leader of a smaller town means that the love of her people means something more. Ruling over millions of people from several realms doesn't exactly give anyone the warm fuzzies, yah know?

AND being mayor would give her more freedom and self-expression away from her mother's influence, so that way, she could have her cake and eat it, too.

Snow and David: I have to say, the later seasons (even the seasons I actually liked) did Snow SO dirty--and no, this isn't about the Lily thing. I won't turn this into a rant, but just know that that is my position as of now.

Snow and David still have their farm, but Snow is Queen of Misthaven now. She operates mostly out of Storybrooke (for plot reasons) and she, Regina, and the other rulers of the Kingdoms regularly team up and advise each other. Neal (Leo) is their heir, as Emma turned it down.

Jacinda: Here's where it gets complicated.

Jacinda is SUCH a pretty name, I always thought it was kinda sucky that it was Ella's "cursed" name. So in this AU, Jacinda is her real name. Original Cinderella (Ashley) gets to keep Ella because 1) She was here first and 2) Ashley is a way lamer name than Jacinda.

After much thinking and stressing, I have decided that Jacinda and Ella are still both Cinderella...sorta. Jacinda's story will be reminiscent of the Grimm's version (with some OUAT twists) while Ella's will be based of Perrault's version. The only things I'll switch are the shoes, since Jacinda's whole ship with Henry kind of revolves around GLASS slippers. (In the Grimm version, they were golden slippers, which I will give to Ella instead)

To make things simple: Jacinda never gets a Fairy Godmother, there's a pear tree involved, no pumpkin coach, there are three balls, birds, and glass slippers.

Ella has (had lol, thanks Rumple) a Fairy Godmother, a pumpkin coach and animal coachmen, a single ball, gold slippers, and the nickname Cinderella.

Does it make sense? No.

Is it important to my Next Gen Verse? Also no. So I ain't stressing it.

Jacinda's and Ella's Families: Another easy one. Ella gets the Tremaine name (she was here first, and her story aligns better with the Disney movie) while Jacinda's is changed to Belfrey.

Also, I thought that the whole "Rapunzel is also Lady Tremaine" thing was dumb as all hell, so that just straight up doesn't exist. To keep it simple, I used Victoria and Ivy for Rapunzel and Drizella, and just shortened Anastasia to Ana, because there are both an Anna and an Anastasia in this universe.

Many other characters remain the same: Tiana and Naveen, Facilier (except his and Regina's thing), Hansel turning evil for no reason (I thought that was hilarious) and a few others who don't matter.
