I think the Nordics have used various names throughout history! But they're probably all just variations of the same "base name," which has just changed with culture and current trends to keep up with the times.

Denmark: Magnus / Magni, Mange, Magne Magnus ("great") is a latinised version of the Old Norse name Magni ("mighty"). Various Scandinavian kings have been named Magnus, so the name has long been associated with the region. Mange is a Swedish nickname for Magnus, and Magne could be Denmark's alternative alias if he needs one Sweden: Björn / Bernwald Björn ("bear") is an Old Norse name still popular in Sweden. Perhaps in the Middle Ages, he may have used the name Bernwald ("bear" + "ruler") to fit in better with the German-speaking estates of society and have more of an international reach. Because his name means "bear," he can be teasingly referred to as Nalle, Bamse, or Baddi, all meaning "teddy bear" Norway: Sigurd / Sigurðr, Siward, Sjur Sigurd is a younger form of the Old Norse name Sigurðr ("victory"+ "guardian"), perhaps most notably associated with the Germanic legend of the dragon slayer. Their surnames are not set in stone, and I rarely find myself needing them anyway. I don't think the Nordics would feel quite as attached to their surnames, as surnames in Nordic countries have traditionally been patronyms (and these guys don't have families in the traditional sense). Perhaps back in the olden days, the "surnames" they introduced themselves with were based on what was the most fitting and useful in a given situation - making up family associations, basing it off of their profession, or picking a surname based on where they lived (southern farm, northern bay, etc). But nowadays, they probably have preferred surnames they use for symbolic reasons; like Iceland going by "Ingólfsson" (based on Ingólfur Arnarson, the assumed first permanent settler of Iceland) or Denmark preferring the name "Andersen" to be associated with the most famous Danish author

Plus, I feel like their country names are actually more like honorary titles, and they don't really use them between each other (unless it's a nickname, like Sve, etc.). It's very much their culture. Nordic people tend to call their bosses, teachers, doctors, etc., by their first names, too. It's probably based on the cultural belief that this makes people more equal and cancels social hierarchy (Jante Law effect), so I have a hard time seeing the Nordic using honorary titles between friends and family

This one was an attempt at a redraw of a meme for the occasion of Leon (and Drac's son's) cameo in OBAKEIDORO! some while ago. I think if you can tell which image it was originally.

It's not often you see me drawing Leon in a funnier light, but this was never finished because I got tired, and I had to draw the other guy-- I had a hard time figuring out how stupid I wanted to go with his face.

Lilies represent pure love, the nobility of feelings, but also marital union. After the death of someone, they are used to represent the purification of their soul before they reach heaven.

So now that we established that... What about we take a look at two lovely pics ? <3

It's interesting to see that Mathias has a few lilies of his own. If Elisabetha's probably represent all of what i mentioned above, Mathias' lilies might only represent his feelings for her, how deeply he cared, his union with her. But it's interesting to interpret them as some sort of "mockery" of the "purification of the soul before reaching heaven" part, knowing how that man ends up. <3 Dead ? Yes (kinda). Pure ? No. Heaven ? LOL. LMAO. <3 His lilies are also clean. Just normal, pure white flowers...

Now if we look at Dracula's lily, not only is there only one, but... it's bloodied. And while Mathias' lilies were "attached" to him, Dracula is actually holding his... by the tip of it's rod. As if he could let go at any moment, as if it would slip from his hand from the slightest wrong movement. It's a very delicate situation. And the representation of his current state of mine. This man is broken. He loved Lisa so deeply he regained his humanity back while with her, but everything shattered when she died. If the lily represents his love for Lisa and what was left of his humanity, things part of him is still hanging onto... you can be sure it fell off his hand the moment Trevor killed him. Grief and rage took place in his heart, turning a love that was pure into something unholy. Into an obsession, a fuel for his madness. And while he lost the flower, the blood remained. He's forever tainted, unable to escape his sadness and anger.

This is my interpretation, though I'm sure there can be more. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I know that this already sounds stupid but if you put them in the same room because of the topic of Mathias' marriage with Lisa. Sara is the overprotective when comes to Leon's descendants and Walter just like to gossip about what is going on and doesn't care of Alucard's well being.

I've spoken about this before but I'm still baffled abt how Mathias is both extremely smart and an utter moron. Yes we know that the real reason he says his whole plan out loud to Leon in his face is bc the story needed the player to know the truth, but in universe it paints Mathias as this masterful strategist with the emotional inteligence and empathy of a rock (plus whatever funny side effects the crimson stone/sudden vampirism had on him, if i might push in my funny hcs)

...and it also makes me thing of how things would've gone had he held his tongue. I've been wanting to write a bad ending au for a long time but been too scared to do it. One that has Mathias entangling Leon (who is not an idiot nor would willy nilly forgive everything if he learns the truth, mind you) with lies and half truths until he gets to turn him (or not :) )

I feel like the writers kind of shot themselves in the foot with this because now everyone is pissed at the lack of Mathias scenes and the abundant amount of Felix scenes no one expected or wanted to see in the first place

Everyone expected this season to be about Mathias because of him being in the middle of the header and the season synopsis below it literally being "Mathias was the king of Vesterøy, now he is nothing. Just a confused and lonely boy about to start high school."

If they had put Felix in the middle of the header from the beginning with a season synopsis being about him nobody would be this annoyed right now

Like. His voice mod I kinda get. He was shot n needed a way to speak. But. What happened for him to get mechanical hands too?

For the ppl that headcannon mind is/always was a automaton I kinda understand, like being fully made of metal and all, but to yall (or if there even is anyone) with non all-robot mind designs w inspo from the mechanical hands, do you guys have any headcannons/ backstories as to why he has em?

My hc is that with all the fighting and destructiveness of heart, at some point mind’s body wasn’t really healing the areas that he got hurt as well OR he got tired of physically feeling the hits.

So eventually, he designed himself either wearable mechanical gloves/coverings. Or like… bone drilled in prosthetics. Or somthing idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It being on his hands n arms would also kinda work out bc if ur blocking urself from an attack the easiest thing to use is your arms and hands. And with it being metal, I’d imagine it wouldn’t hurt nearly as bad. So it’d help with protection too.

Only downside would be that he couldn’t feel/ touch anything anymore. He has these new prosthetics but the hands have the most touch receptors. he can’t feel the softness of his pillow or the fragility of a small animal. And eventually, whether he can take it off but won’t, or if he just can’t at all… even the feeling of holding a loved one’s hand eventually becomes alien to him.

But he didn’t worry that much. It’s just touch. And how bad could losing touch be.

by the end of adapting to it, he accepts the fact he just won’t feel things physically anymore. Learning from muscle memory how much pressure to hold things without breaking them. How to act like he can feel things so others won’t point it out when he’s in public.

Soul and heart, might not even know that mind can’t feel things anymore. They just notice him starting to act more repelled to physical touch as a whole. It annoys heart(bc no cuddles ): ) and worried soul but no one says anything about it anymore. Because whenever it’s mentioned mind just shuts the conversation down immediately. Because, he dosnt want the other’s help. He’s “completely fine” like this and why would he need to undo something he spent months working on??

No, he’s decided to die on that hill. Even though he might be denying his own need for touch and physical affection, and even falling into a unnoticed depression bc it. he did this himself and he’s going to stick with it… all while ignoring any and all downsides whatsoever. Making it near impossible to consider he might be better off without them.

Bc at the end of the day it’s just touch. And how bad could losing touch be?
