VeronaHills, Round Nine: Capp (A)
Glossy strawberries tumbled from a basket on Juliette's bedside table. She unfolded a card slipped underneath to identify the gifter.
"J ~ meet me in the conservatory ~ J x." Junior's handwriting was a uniquely mangled interpretation of cursive from his years of half-assing private tuition (in his surprisingly self-deprecating words); Juliette understood the font well, thanks to his weekly love notes. This piece of scribbled scripture was different, though. It was an invitation in which the words appeared to wobble (more than usual) with anticipation. Juliette smiled, popped a strawberry in her mouth, and made her way to the staircase.
Junior was standing in his swimmers by the bubbling spa. His shoulders visibly relaxed when Juliette drew closer and accepted a glass of Capulet white from his outstretched hand. What she said next almost brought him to his knees: "The answer's yes."
Thank goodness Juliette was a studied people reader - she sensed he might fumble the velvet box into the pool and came to his rescue by speaking the best word in the world, well ahead of her cue.
The news went down well at poker night, during which Juliette excused herself to take supper in the kitchen with her baby brother Gavin and tell him about the upcoming wedding. He was a nice boy who tidied away dishes without a second thought and offered his congratulations. The orphanage hadn't diluted any sweetness; becoming a Capp hadn't spoiled him.
Young as he was, uncle Gavin was shaping up to be a good role model to a future niece or nephew.

I wanted to hold off on making over individual sims until I played their families, but I really do not like the Maxis singlet.
So, Junior gets an early makeover. His design is pretty much perfect; it's literally just a different shirt.
(...though I may put him on a bodyshape. I don't know why, but in this particular savefile, he's coming across as a scrawny beanpole. Maybe it's just that everyone looks scrawny next to Dusty Hogg...)

Hartland, Day 86, Part 2
Meredith has an active want to go to college, so that means homework time!
I think you're supposed to look at the ball, Junior...
Mary's enjoying the view from Rocky and River's balcony.
Maddox: Daddy, when you were at school, did your teacher play music whilst you were writing? Mr Gutenberg says it helps us concentrate, but he only plays silly stuff without words and so I keep thinking about what the words should be, so I don't think it really helps me concentrate.
Meredith spends her evening painting.
Leo: How's Junior feeling about Candy?
Mary: He hasn't said much, but I think he's okay. More upset for his girls than himself - he and Candy haven't been together for twenty-five years.
Leo: Morgan, it's your birthday tomorrow!
Mary guesses when the plumbing in this house is as old as it is, you have to expect an exploding sink from time to time.
The family spent the evening at home, enjoying the new facilities.

Parties are a great way to liven up the long winter nights.
"Shouldn't we wait for somebody else to show up?" "Just call, boy."
"Boarding school. All the great movers and shakers got their start in boarding school, being looked after by professionals." "Miz Daytona never went to boarding school, and she moved and shaked enough for all us here."

Mary knows she wants to be with Junior, so it's not guilting him into staying if she tells him that Yuri is his son, right? I mean just look how happy he is to be holding "his son." Let's just hope Marry can end things with Valentine Hart before he catches on that Yuri is really his and ruin everything.

That's all from Capp Manor, at least for now! Originally I had a big epic storyline planned for this household but, honestly, there was enough going on with Consort's death and two weddings. Plus I enjoy regular old gameplay more than fancy pre-planned stories at the moment, haha.
I am thinking I will most likely move Tybalt and Tiave out on their own next season, but haven't decided whether they will also bring along Cordelia. Maybe she'd prefer to keep an eye on Juliette? Or move in with Malcolm Downtown? I dunno yet!
As for Juliette and Junior, I'm interested to see where their marriage takes them. Juliette always dreamt of having a large family, but has she changed too much for that to still be worth pursuing? Will Junior come clean about his existing kid, Rose? I'm excited to find out :D
As for the Montys, we'll be seeing them soon...

5 Minutes in the Life of Headmaster Arc
Jaune: (Into one scroll) Ren, you can make whatever you want! I'll still eat it!
Jaune: (Into another) Huh? I know you didn't invite me to dinner, Headmaster Schnee I wasn't talking to you! (Groans) I'll call you back.
Emerald: Headmaster, General Bree is here to discuss security.
Harriet: (Nods) Headmaster.
Jaune: Good after-
Student: Hey, Headmaster! (Shoves Harriet)
Student: (Shoves Emerald) What's the big idea changing class lengths?!
Jaune: Well, you see-
Junior: (Through the window) Pardon me, but my boys and I need to work on the fountain.
Jaune: The fountain? Why do you need to-?
Shay: (Smashes through the wall) 'Scuse me, Mr. Headmaster, but I'm with Branwen Electrical. We need to change the wiring in Wing B, so I need you to sign this 428 form.
Jaune: Uh, was there a memo on-? WHOA!
Miltia: Like, sorry! Our boss told us that we had to move furniture.
Melanie: Something stupid about taking old ones and replacing them with new ones. We'll just-
Harriet: Hey, I was here first!
Student: We're more important!
Junior: Hold on-!
Shay: Just a minute-!
Emerald: Headmaster-
ENOUGH!
Jaune: All of you, against the wall, in order of arrival! (Huffs) Yes, Specialist Bree, I would love to discuss the important security details for the upcoming festival. Give me ten minutes, and I should be ready.
Jaune: Both of you, you are students at the one and only New Beacon Academy to become Huntresses of the highest calibre. A change in scheduling should be nothing compared to what you'll experience in the real world. If you would like, Deputy Headmistress Sustrai can explain how the recent low testing scores and increased delinquent activities among your peers are related to the change in class attendance. My apologies if the change has caused any discomfort for you.
Jaune: Sir, once you have explained the purpose of your repairs on the fountain, you may have my permission to work on it, but only after you have explained and if you agree to do it AFTER the last class ends at 4PM.
Jaune: Mr. Shay, give me the form, and I will sign it AFTER I have fully read both it AND any pertinent memo regarding this.
Jaune: AND FINALLY, I appreciate the initiative of your company, but furniture is to be moved around ONLY between graduation and initiation. Please inform your employer of these terms, and to look at New Beacon ordinance 2-79G.
Jaune: NOW ALL OF YOU GET OUT! (They leave, Sighs) Oh... Is it lunchtime yet?
Emerald: (Giggles) No, breakfast was only an hour ago, sir.

VeronaHills, Round Nine: Mann
Lunch with Cornwall Capp, the village's pride of the dance world, was an opportunity Junior couldn't afford to fumble.
Then again, affordability had never been one of life's concerns for the Mann heir. Post Wagyu cheeseburger, Junior rose from his chair, turned, and released evidence of his stomach's gastronomic capabilities across the dining table. He made a giddy remark to do with the concept of "better out than in", but Cornwall was unmoved.
"Urgh!" the moustached maestro uttered with malaise. "Did you do that on purpose?"
Junior spun to face his guest and feigned shock. "Oh dear! I didn't know I had that in me. Sorry. What were you saying about tango?"
A new hairdo and a stern parental talking to made Junior feel like a new man; one who didn't find farts amusing and had a genuine interest in getting to know the family of his soon-to-be fiancée. That included people who married into the Capp family - he'd be just like them, soon enough. Just as soon as he ran the ring past Juliette for approval. How big were lady fingers, anyway?
Lana marvelled at the miracle of Junior setting aside his martinis for marriage as she drew a bath that evening. She was gingerly dipping a toe in the water when she wavered and withdrew her leg for balance. Her foot collided with a candle, which met the bathmat in a lit up streak. She yelped and scrambled for her cell phone.
The representative from the fire department, a young man named Roberto Miceli, was not best pleased at the scene. In the time it took for Lana to throw on her spring nightdress and evacuate the bathroom, the flame had disappeared under a flood of toppled candlewax. His words descended into lecturing territory as he described the scene of the Montague restaurant fire, and how his team needed to be ready for "real emergencies" such as that. In the drawing room behind them, Lana heard Rich clear his throat and scrape his chair away from the chessboard.
"Oh dear," Lana replied. "You don't know who we are, do you?"
Under the cold light of a droning lamp, within walls grey and damp, Rich laughed as the fireman came to. He had a whole monologue ready to go about the foolishness of seeing his wife's predicament as unimportant, with an explanation of the cow-faced creature rumbling and swishing its prickled vines beside him. He usually took the time to brag: "What do you think of my friend here? A faerie gifted her to me." Alas, said creature was ravenous, and Rich barely had time to grab a vine and dramatically swing himself up to look down with a grin before the fireman was happily consumed. Not to worry, of course: the glowing yield was collected from the udders, and Rich slipped into a black car, with his cape totally unblemished.
Thanks to the fireman's donation, lovely lady Lana had a better shot of living to see grandchildren.

Hartland, Day 86, Part 6
Everyone's enjoying the summer afternoon.
I don't recall inviting Sapphira but she appears to have appointed herself bartender.
Morgan grew up wanting to make a friend, so he honed in on Gaby.
Meredith: I can't believe Morgan's about to start school. It seems like only yesterday he was born!
Leo: Now you know how I feel about you!
Gaby: I'm muerto!
Morgan: You're what? I don't know that word.
Gaby: Oh sorry. It must be Spanish. I don't remember which words are English or Spanish sometimes. I don't know the English word... not alive.
Malachi: Can I play?
Maddox: In a bit.
What a dreamboat!
The party was too big for me to keep much of an eye on so I just let everyone run wild. It scored well, so I guess things went okay. Morgan spent most of it befriending Gaby, whilst his siblings went up for naps at various points.

"Hi Candy? Where's Arden?" "He's got the creeping crud. Nice to see you, stud. You going to keep out of Dad's hair?" "…Probably."
"Okay, y'all, gather round, the big moment is upon us."
"Okay, Skye, make yourself a wish here." "Ga?"
"Yeah, you wish to grow up as handsome as all the other men in your family, don't you?" "He can hardly help it, son."
