You wonder what colour Felix’s eyes are.

It’s a question that passes your mind often.

He tells you they’re brown - but you wonder if they’re a warm brown that would melt you every time you saw them or if they’re a cool, deep brown that makes you want to crawl into his embrace and stay there forever.

You wonder about the freckles that dust his nose and cheeks; how much different they might be if you had the ability to see colour… How much different things would be if Felix Lee was your soulmate.

You’re aware of how inappropriate it is to be thinking about this while you’re sitting on a ratty couch in someone’s living room, nursing a cider and watching Felix dance with his soulmate but you can’t help but dwell on the ‘what ifs’ and the ‘in another lifes’. You wonder what you must have done in a past life to have fallen in love with your best friend and still be colourless.

Sipping your cider, you lean further back into the couch. You take your eyes off of Felix to glance around the party, which now seems to be in full swing. You imagine the lights and streamers that hang from the ceiling are colourful and bright, and you can see a band setting up on the tiny makeshift stage in the corner of the living room.

Of course Felix wanted to come here so badly, you think to yourself, Sunrise is playing.

Sunrise’s frontman, San, was helping Yeosang set his amp up, flicking a few buttons before nodding at the smaller man to play a chord. You sipped your cider again as you let your eyes wander to the other members of San’s band: Mingi, who was setting his bass and amp up, Wooyoung, whose keyboard was set up but was nowhere to be found, and finally there was the mystery fifth member. You had never met the new drummer, but Felix had told you about him.

He was big, to put it plainly. You could see how broad he was, even from where he sat cross-legged on the floor while fixing something on his drum-kit. You remembered Felix talking about how tall he was - maybe even taller than Mingi, which had caught your attention. He looked up, saying something you couldn’t make out to San and you were able to catch a glimpse of his face. His hair seemed to be dyed a light colour, although you could only see a cool, light grey tone, and his smile was warm, inviting and familiar. It nearly took your breath away.

Everything about the tall drummer seemed familiar to you, but you couldn’t place him. You finally ripped your eyes away from him to take another sip of your cider while the warm feeling grew in your chest. You could barely describe it - it was almost like a pull to the drummer.

“His name’s Yunho.” A voice said in your ear, laughing when you let out a gasp and jump.

You turned to glare at the offender, “Jung Wooyoung!” You scolded, watching the grinning man crawl over the back of the couch to sit next to you, a mango seltzer in his hand.

Wooyoung settled next to you, one of his arms making their way around your shoulder, “He’s insane. He can play guitar and bass too.” He tells you, “He came highly recommended by Joongie.”

Your cheeks were heating up as Wooyoung spoke, knowing you were caught staring at the drummer. You glanced back over to where the rest of the band was setting up and gasped again when you saw Yunho was looking at you.

The feeling in your chest grew warmer as you looked away, chugging what was left of your cider.

“Were San and I that annoying?” You heard Wooyoung gag next to you. 

You looked back over to him before following his gaze to Felix and his soulmate, who were giggling and dancing. You felt like you were intruding on a private moment, and you felt a pang of jealousy tear through the warm feeling that had grown in your chest.

You looked away quickly, squeezing your eyes shut.

“You were worse.” You finally tell Wooyoung after a beat, “You two were obnoxious.” You shift to look at your friend.

Wooyoung dramatically gasped, “I can’t believe you’d lie like that, Y/N!” He huffed, sipping his seltzer.

You rolled your eyes, a smile returning to your lips at Wooyoung’s antics. You appreciated having a friend like Wooyoung.

“What colour is his hair?” You ask Wooyoung, your voice softer than it had been.

Wooyoung tilts his head, “San’s? It’s a dark pur-”

“No. Yunho’s?”

Wooyoung gives you a knowing smile, his eyes glancing in the direction of his band again, “It’s pink.” He tells you, “It’s patchy, and I don’t know if he knows it’s pink. There’s some spots where it’s hot pink, and other spots where it’s almost white. It suits him.”

The warm feeling begins to grow again while you listen to Wooyoung’s description. You think you’d like the colour pink.

“Y’know, if you ever find it too much watching Felix, the offer to join San and I is still on the tab-”

You huffed, feeling your cheeks grow warm again as you stood, “In your dreams, Jung.” You took back every nice thought you’d had about Wooyoung in the last 5 minutes, “I’m going to get more alcohol.”

You began to walk towards the kitchen, ignoring Wooyoung’s calls to hurry behind you. You passed by the band finishing their set up, giving a quick smile to them when they greeted you. You kept your eyes off of the tall drummer.

The kitchen was also decked out in streamers and balloons, but the lighting wasn’t so harsh. It was quiet as most people had begun to make their way to the living room for Sunrise, leaving you to finally let out a sigh of relief. You needed the peace for just a moment.

You grabbed another cider from the collection of them on the kitchen island before closing your eyes and leaning back against the counter. You opened the cider, taking a sip as you listened to San’s muffled voice begin a soundcheck on the mics.

“Y/N, right?” You heard a voice say.

The warm feeling in your chest nearly exploded as you opened your eyes. The can in your hand dropped to the ground as you felt your mind explode while your vision became overwhelmed.

There was so much light and colour around you.

“Oh my god.” You whispered, finally being able to focus on the man in front of you.

All you saw was colour. You could see the colours and lights Wooyoung and Felix would describe to you in the decorations around the room. You could see the bright blue and purple in the shirt you were wearing. You could see the yellow of your Vans.

You knew you were crying. You felt the tears fall down your cheeks while you looked up at the man in front of you.

Yunho was even more breathtaking in person. His hair was multiple shades of pink (You decided you did liked pink.), and hung in his eyes. His worn flannel was orange and red, and his cheeks were a soft rosy colour that matched his hair.

“Hi.” He says, his voice softer.

“Hi.” You repeat back, looking up at him. The warmth from your chest had spread from your head to your toes.

Yunho had tears in his eyes as he drank the colours of your own appearance in.

Yunho’s eyes were brown. They were a deep, warm brown that reminded you of love and a hearth. You felt protected looking in his eyes.

You think you liked the colour brown too.

Diese Idee von europäischen Werten find ich völlig absurd, ich hab noch nicht mal die gleichen Werte wie ich selber. Wenn ich müde oder betrunken bin hab ich völlig andere Überzeugungen, als wenn ich nüchtern bin. Deswegen find ich diese Idee auch so absurd, von deutschen Werten, oder regionalen Werten, oder europäischen Werten zu sprechen, das ist einfach ein Konstrukt.

Soooo, it’s been a year since I stayed away from this blog becauusse…. of the last semester. And here I am, 2017… mari hidupkan kembali blog ini :)

But wait! Apaan nih, udah lama ga ngeblog tau-tau muncul ngomongin istri yg selingkuh?? :P

 Well, ada yg udah nonton My Wife is Having An Affair This Week?

Jadi yaa… di tengah-tengah “kegilaan skripsi” akhir taun kemarin, ada setitik waktu luang yg emang saya siapin dari awal buat mengheningkan cipta si pikiran yg udah diobrak-abrik ini. Dan drama korea (drakor) ini jadi teman me-time sekaligus penutup akhir taun 2016 yg manis, ahiw. Sebenernya sih awalnya cuma mau nonton episode 1-nya doang, tapi ya dasar emang racun! Malah penasaran terus dan rasanya gak tenang kalo ga nonton ampe abis. Untungnya cuma 12 episode, jadi bisa digeber sambil ngerjain kerjaan rumah yg lain. Suami yg merasa kesian sama istrinya yg udah babak belur ini, cuma bisa ngijinin sambil geleng-geleng kepala pas saya minta izin buat membisu beresin drakor :P

Oke, jadi gimana filmnyaa?

I hope I’m not telling you any spoiler, I’m just saying how I really LOVE this serial. Film ini nyeritain tentang kehidupan pernikahan Do Hyun Woo/DHW (Lee Sun Kyun), seorang produser di salah satu stasiun tv lokal, dengan istrinya, yaitu Jung Soo Yeon (Song Ji Hyo) yg seorang graphic designer.

Dari awal cerita udah langsung diliatin konfliknya bahwa si DHW ini menemukan indikasi istrinya selingkuh. He was so desperately naive that he asked netizen about this on social media. Di sosmed-nya dengan nama akun Toycrane itu, dia semacem up date setiap perkembangan hubungan dia dengan istrinya yg dicurigai selingkuh. Dan curhatanya itu… kemudian jadi viral. Seru dan banyak adegan kocak di film ini. Jadi meskipun isu selingkuh adalah hal yg menyebalkan, film ini bisa ngebawa emosi penonton dengan baik. Gundah, kesel, sedih, tapi terus ketawa-ketawa, terus kesengsem, gitu aja terus. Jumpalitan kayak naik roller coaster.

Sebenernya, ada 3 kisah ini di film ini yg diceritakan secara bersamaan. Cerita besarnya memang si DHW itu, cuma ada juga kisah lain yg jadi “bumbu” di sepanjang serial ini. Kisah yg jadi penyedap serial ini di antaranya kehidupan pernikahan teman-teman DHW. Ada Choi Yoon Ki/CYK (Kim Hee Won), seorang pengacara yg kurang laku tapi cassanova abis dan menikahi seorang konglomerat bernama Eun A-Ra (Ye Ji Won).

Beda dengan si DHW di mana yg selingkuh itu istrinya, si CYK ini nyelingkuhin istrinya yg super tajir. Sepanjang cerita, kita disuguhkan dengan “kenakalan” CYK yg nyosor sana-sini sambil tetep berusaha buat gak ketauan istrinya. Kisah yg ini super kocak dan ekstrim. Makanya meskipun cuma bumbu, tapi jadi selingan yg seru di sela-sela kita mengikuti kegundahan si DHW. Ending-nya pun mantep banget. LOL. Juara banget deh tu karakter Eun A-Ra ini !!! :rotfl:

Kisah ketiga di film ini, tentang Ahn Joon Young/AJY (Lee Sang Yeob) dengan Kwon Bo-Young (BoA, iya ada BoA di film ini!! B-) ). Dua orang ini merupakan partner kerja si DHW, yg satu produser dan satunya lagi scriptwriter.

Bisa dibilang, kedua orang ini adalah karakter favorit saya di serial ini. Kisahnya… aaaah begitulah tonton aja. HAHAHA.  Gereget dan bikin senyum-senyum sendiri. Mereka adalah dua orang yg sedang berusaha menata hati dari remuknya perasaan akibat kegagalan pernikahan dengan pasangannya masing-masing. Mereka ini juga yg bikin problematika gloomy ini jadi cukup berseri-seri :love:

Pada awalnya, saya tertarik nonton drakor ini gak lain karena ada Song Ji Hyo. Menimbun kerinduan akan karakter dia yg bakal abis di Running Man bulan depan. Tapi ternyata, film ini memberikan lebih. Dari film ini saya dapet fakta-fakta menarik yg mengandung banyak hikmah dan pelajaran seputar pernikahan. Film ini seperti menunjukkan bahwa perselingkuhan merupakan salah satu issue yg lagi cukup happening di Korea Selatan. Gak cuma para suami yg punya peluang buat selingkuh, tapi para istri juga punya peluang yg sama. Yang bagus dari film ini adalah dia tidak menyudutkan pihak-pihak tertentu, kayak misalnya yg selingkuh itu ya biasanya para istri yg berkarir lah, mereka yg LDR-an lah, ato pasangan yg udah lama nikah. Film ini membeberkan banyak sudut pandang, bahwa perselingkuhan itu bisa menghampiri siapa saja, baik itu ibu rumah tangga, pasangan yg tinggal seatap, pasangan muda dengan/tanpa anak, maupun pasangan dengan kondisi ekonomi yg baik.

Saking insightful-nya film ini, saya sampai berdiskusi panjang lebar dengan suami mengenai beberapa hal terkait isu perselingkuhan yg menjadi momok setiap rumah tangga. Isu yg disampaikan oleh film ini adalah bahwa…

Perselingkungan itu hadir begitu saja.

Sejak awal memang tidak ada seorang pun yg berniat untuk mengkhianati pasangannya, kecuali ya ada juga orang genitnya macem si CYK itu. Dalam film tersebut, Jung Soo Yeon pernah bilang kalo perselingkuhan ini “… it just happened“. Meskipun hal itu gak bisa jadi excuse bagi mereka yg membagi hati, ada hal yg perlu menjadi bahan introspeksi setiap pasangan tentang mengapa perasaan tersebut bisa muncul. Karena ternyata…

Bukan rasa bosan yang menjadi pemicu, tetapi lelah.

Rutinitas pasangan dengan anak yg tinggal di kota besar menjadi salah satu faktor yg menimbulkan kelelahan (pastinya!). Bangun pagi nyiapin sarapan, mandiin anak, nganterin ke daycare, ngantor, buru-buru jemput anak, nyiapin makan malem, tidur, begitu seterusnya selama lima hari dalam seminggu. Belum lagi ditambah tekanan pekerjaan ato masalah lain di luar urusan domestik. Kejenuhan semacam itu dengan komunikasi yg seadanya dengan pasangan di rumah ternyata menyebabkan kelelahan yg mungkin tidak kita sadari. Terlalu sibuk menjalankan peran sebagai suami/istri, ayah/ibu, pegawai, hingga lupa dengan kebahagiaan diri sendiri, gak sempet me time apalagi couple time, juga bisa menimbulkan “kekosongan” dalam hati. Hingga suatu saat ada seseorang yg secara tidak disadari mengisi kekosongan tersebut, timbullah percikan-percikan yg telah lama hilang… namun pada orang yg tidak tepat.

  After all, ada yang jauh lebih penting daripada menjadi pasangan yang sempurna.

Seringkali kita mendapatkan tekanan untuk menjadi pasangan atau orang tua yg sempurna. Bahwa istri yg baik itu adalah mereka yg bisa menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah dengan baik, menjalankan peran ibu yg ideal, menghasilkan masakan yg enak, selalu tersenyum dan menyembunyikan kelelahannya di hadapan suami, cemerlang di kantor, supermom, perfect wife. Begitu juga dengan suami. Padahal ada segunung kelelahan yg tak terucap pada masing-masing pihak. Keduanya berpikir semua berjalan dengan normal, tidak menyadari bahwa setetes air bisa meluberkan isi gelas yg telah penuh terisi.

Analogi tersebut menggambarkan kejenuhan yg dialami mereka yg tertekan berusaha seimbang dalam banyaknya peran yg dijalankan. Film itu menunjukkan bahwa ada yg lebih penting daripada menjadi sempurna. That it’s okay to be not okay. Yang terpenting adalah menjadi pasangan yg selalu ada untuk mendengarkan dan menguatkan satu sama lain. Go crazy and have fun with your spouse! Akan lebih baik menjadi pasangan yg seru daripada menjadi pasangan yg sempurna :) kurang lebih sih gitu.

Menurut saya, film ini oke banget buat ditonton dan didiskusikan bersama pasangan. Terutama bagi pasangan yg baru aja punya anak di mana seringkali mereka lebih sibuk dengan urusan anak daripada dirinya sendiri. Oya, yg paling bikin mewek dari cerita ini adalah saat anak mereka, Do Joon Soo, mengungkapkan perasaannya terkait kondisi orang tuanya itu. Film ini menjadi pengingat bahwa pernikahan merupakan sebuah perjalanan bahtera yg panjang. To go far, you may need a strong ship instead of a luxury cruise. Sail away! :love:
