He's shorter than his own past self. Taller male characters can completely cover him just by standing in front of him. He's also canonically very pretty and there's a betting pool amongst npcs on who can manage to date him. Even playable men are fixated on him, from an ex 'close friend' that hates as much as loves him, to a guy that pointed a gun at him one time and immediately became his bestie. In his true form, he wears a very...interesting outfit. And when he walks in it, his hips sway. (The "best bred bottom of the luofu" tweet is always iconic)

Julius Reinberg analysis post because I can't stop rotating him in my head like a rotisserie chicken

(I was going to call it an appreciation post but he’s kind of a jerk. Love him anyways though.)

Lots and lots of manga spoilers so read at your own discretion

Julius is introduced as one of the most skilled wizards in Will's class. He's able to cast one of Elfaria's spells (albeit half as good as her). Another notable trait is his ego. He thinks he's better than others and looks down on them. At first, he's a massive jerk, but the story has him stick around after Will humbles him in their fight, and I honestly love what they do with him even though he's just a side character.

To me, Julius plays a similar to Sion as one of Will’s rivals. Both of them won’t let themselves be bested by Will which also pushes them to improve. The difference is that Sion is much more fair (I think he also kind of has an inferiority complex when it comes to Will but we won’t be talking about that today). As shown later in the manga, Julius isn't afraid to use Will to climb the tower himself.

One of my favorite moments showing Julius’ growth. Edward tells the dwarves to help the wizards even if they may die in the process and, oh look at that, Julius gets a reaction panel. He’s seemingly just as shocked as the dwarves to hear this. And then, he calls out to Gina as one of the monsters attacks, worried for her safety.

Part of Will defeating him earlier was that he had to work in the dwarves' tavern after disrespecting them earlier. And this moment shows how that affected his character. Julius didn't just take his punishment and turn back to his old ways. He came to respect and care about those he previously looked down on.

I think this is the moment that really made Julius intriguing to me because we get see what's below the surface of his character. The choice to not be kind because showing kindness only seemed to bring pain. You find out why he acts the way he acts.

It’s a moment that could definitely make him come as more unlikeable. He admits he likes looking down on others and showing off, but I think it more reveals how on the fence he is about this decision. He’s constantly reminded of when Anna told him how she loves how kind he was. He kept the pendant she gave him when he could have easily thrown it away and fully discarded the notion of ever being kind again. He hates that Will reminds him of Anna. Despite how much he wants to abandon his kindness, he’s reminded of how much it was valued. Julius is a very interesting character because there are times where he falls on one side of the fence and chooses to not be kind, but he also has times where he does because he can’t seem to fully get rid of it.

And I think this moment also shows Will's strength as a protagonist since he is able to draw out this other side of Julius (this happens with other characters like Wignall and Lihanna too). This boy is so good at seeing others’ strengths. He notices Julius’ resolve and how he follows through on his promises. He picks up on the kindness Julius thought he had left behind.

I'm so sad, HE DIDN'T DESERVE THIS!!! And Will says, "Julius was kind enough to leave us a clue." Despite Julius not believing in his own kindness, his final moments are spent creating a guardian that will help the others find out the truth.

In conclusion, I came to like Julius a lot as a character. He's initially an antagonist, but he grows and we come to learn more about his motivations. He says he only cares about himself and not others, but his actions reflect someone who's hardworking, always follows through on their promises, and can be kind.

• Julius didn't really care much upon hearing that a half elf and half dragon hybrid was studying at his school nor did he care when he heard that Wignall and Sion were interested in them it really didn't bother him that much. So why couldn't he get his mind of the fact that there was a hybrid that Wignall was so interested in to the fact that they became close friends and he even allowed them to touch him. He really didn't understand why he was so curious about this damn hybrid.

• Julius was sitting at the cafeteria table with his friends chatting with them when you suddenly sat at the table across from him. His eyes quickly glance at you before noteing that you must be waiting for someone and he was soon proven right as Wignall soon came and sat next to you starting a conversation. Laughs and giggles could be heard as you laugh at something Wignall said and at this point his friends must of noticed that he wasn't paying attention to the conversation cause next thing he knows his friends hand is now infront of him snapping their fingers, in a attempt to get his attention Julius jerked slightly but looked at his friends before flashing them a awkward grin and mutters a apology while quickly going back to the conversation.

" Julius letted out a chuckle when his friends mentioned the rumour about Wignall and that redhead swanning around you. There's no way they would snoop that low especially Wignall that elf has too much pride so there's no way right?

He couldn't focus in class he didn't understand what the teacher was babbling about. He was too focused on the fact that the rumours stated that Wignall was swanning all over the hybrid but there was no way. Yet here he was at the elve's class where he asked Wignall's classmates and was told " Yeah Wignall's kinda close with them even lets them touch him " and that's when his mind stopped working as he sat in class until the classes went by and lunch came .

He sat with his friends at the cafeteria when his friends suddenly pointed at a figure sitting across from them " Hey look that's the hybrid who seduced Wignall and that redhead " one of his friends whispers to his ears Julius couldn't help but frowned upon hearing what his friend said he looked at you and suddenly all he could hear was his breathing and his heart beating cause that hybrid that his friends were talking bad about he didn't believe them cause there was no way you could seduce anyone you looked too pure to do someting like that.

You looked like you were waiting for someone probably Wignall cause his classmates said that he's with you everyday and he was proved right when Wignall sat next to you with his lunch smiling and starting a conversation. Wignall must of said something funny cause he heard giggles from you and a small laugh from him. He smiles upon hearing you giggle you giggle like a kid how cute. Wait what he wasn't suppose to think that.

" heyyyy can you hear us Juliussss. " Julius jerked slightly upon seeing his friend's fingers snapping in front of him he gave his friends a awkward grin " Sorry was sorta distracted thinking bout something what were we talking about again? " He muttered a quiet apology before asking what they were talking about before.

You gave out a small chuckle seeing Julius smiling you were already aware when he was staring at you. Wignall sighed before poking and stretching your cheek " Hey are you listening to me? I asked if you were gonna come over to my dorm today. " Wignall questioned while pouting he clearly noticed you smiling at Julius and was probably upset at your lack of attention on him. You smiled at him " Sure why not it's a study hangout again I assume? " You assumed Wignall smiled and nodded his head while you pat him as both of you got up and walked off somewhere.
