I can't get over how much Albert Wesker from the Resident Evil remakes looks like Julian Sark's (Alias) scary big brother. Umm, don't look at that too closely. Anyway! Today I have compiled some of my favourite queer Alias fics, for your reading pleasure! In no particular order:

Thinking of You is a Poison I Drink Often by Best_Bi_666

Now I know I never shut up about this, but it is genuinely my favourite Anna/Sydney fic I've read! The dialogue is amazing, we've got a little bit of a mystery going on, and the girls are just in excellent form. It's rated Teen and is ongoing.

(The Meaning Of) Restoration by Jennifer-Oksana

Is it cheating to put a crossover on this list? I'd argue not, especially when it's as good as this one. The pairing is Lauren/Lilah from Angel, and while there's some very neat insights into BOTH characters, I don't think you have to be particularly familiar with Angel to enjoy it. It's rated Explicit.

There's never enough Rachel in the world, there's never enough Isabelle, and this story is doing it's darndest to make up for the lack. Isabelle finds out a secret from Sydney's past, and goes to seek out an old friend. An extremely interesting story. Rated Teen with an archive warning for Underage, so proceed at your own discretion.

A Book of Matches #3 by voleuse

What can I say, I love me some Anna/Sydney! This is a short, fun little meeting between the two while Anna's on a mission. Rated Teen.

Need to Destroy by hold_that_thought

Sydney starts having dreams about her missing years, dreams that Lauren is suspiciously involved, and she's determined to get to the bottom of it. Julia/Lauren is always a delight to see, and this certainly delivers well! Rated NC-17.

Gentlemen Prefer Blonds by auchic

Weiss has to start babysitting Sark, and absolutely nothing about this could possibly go wrong. A Syd/Weiss/Sark story that leans into the silliness a bit. All in all, just a fun read! Rated Explicit.

And because this is my list, I'm gonna send you all off with another crossover! This time an X-Files crossover with Sark/Krycek as the pairing. Again, I don't believe you need to be familiar with both shows, but their Krycek is a delight! Sark is sent to meet someone who confuses and irritates him. Some wonderful tidbits about Irina on the side as well. Rated Teen.

You may have answered this before but I'm curious about your research process for TSK. what kinds of sources did you use while writing it?

Oh boy - SO. MANY. BOOKS.

I have a list of resources in my author's note at the end of the novel, but here's a short list of some of the books I read for research:

Erebus: The Story of a Ship – Michael Palin.

May we be Spared to Meet on Earth: Letters of the Lost Franklin Expedition – Potter, Koellner, Carney, and Williamson.

Sir John Franklin’s Erebus and Terror Expedition: Lost and Found – Gillian Hutchinson.

Frozen in Time – Owen Beattie and John Geiger.

The Wager – David Grann.

Madhouse at the End of the Earth – Julian Sancton.

Fatal Passage – Ken McGoogan.

After the Lost Franklin Expedition – Peter Baxter.

There's also some academic papers I got my hands on that I'm unable to list here off the cuff, but they're mentioned in my author's note.

I spent time combing over old ordnance maps, too, from various parts of London over the era the book is set, for writing Harry's London-based chapters. I live in London too so it was very funny walking the streets, and referring to the old maps, to see how streets and buildings changed and getting the correct addresses and such for my characters (even going so far as being able to have Harry's boss tell him 'there's a chemist on Cheyne Row' and that be 100% accurate haha)

I also practically lived in the Greenwich Maritime Museum, and climbed the rigging of the Cutty Sark for additional research...and also totally just because I wanted to.

All in all, a looooot has gone into this book!
