I forgot to take my meds so I’m gonna make it everyone else’s problem and sign off by saying I think there is so much more value in a Judith and Raven friendship than anything else they’re incredibly hilarious and real when Raven’s normal and I think they’re chaotic platonic duo potential is unmatched.
#Judith’s also 19 so…#it gets weird#I just think Judith carrying this old guy around like a Pokémon is so real

What do we think of this? Explanations below 😭
Jezebel x Ahab - The Phoenician princess Jezebel was married to king Ahab of Israel as part of a political alliance. She was key in the attempt to replace the Israelite state religion with her own, killing a few people along the way. She also got Ahab the vineyard he wanted (..through some murderous means..) when his own negotiations failed. Definitely the top in that relationship ;)
Jesus x Judas - something something, must you betray me with a kiss, something something, do what you are here to do, something something, he went and hanged himself
Eve x Lilith - Now, in the Bible, Lilith is only actually mentioned in Isaiah (as an evil spirit), then expanded upon in later tradition (to explain the two Creation accounts in Genesis). In this later tradition, she was said to be Adam's first wife who wouldn't submit to him, so God made another from his rib: Eve. I don't think they ever met, but I have seen some fanart, so here they are
Ruth x Naomi - MY OTP. Canon, because I said so. Tragic, because basically all their male relatives die and then Ruth has to marry Boaz for security. Ruth 1:16-17 my beloved 💔
Jacob x Leah - Put this here as a joke about the fact that Jacob always preferred her sister Rachel over Leah herself, and was tricked into marrying her by Laban.
Mary x Joseph - Two thirds of the Holy Family: the ever-compassionate Mother of God (in Christianity) and the step-dad who Stepped Up. See Matthew 1 & 2, Luke 1 & 2, or the (apocryphal) Protoevangelium of James for more
Devorah x Jael - Doesn't make sense as they never actually meet, but when you have two gaslight-gatekeep-girlbosses in the same chapter, they gotta be together. Don't usually recommend reading Judges (for your own mental health), but maybe look into Judges 4 just for them ;)
David x Jonathan - Where to begin? With how Jonathan's soul was said to be bound with David's, and how he loved him as himself? (1 Sam. 18:1-5) Jonathan risking his life to help David escape King Saul's wrath? (1 Sam. 19 and 20) The pair weeping and kissing before they part? (1 Sam. 20:41) David, in his mourning for [spoilers] Jonathan's death, calling his love more wonderful than that of women? (2 Sam. 1)
Absalom x Mephibosheth - David's son and Jonathan's son, whom David adopted. The two fans are @anniflamma and @sir-davey
Daniel x Darius - King Darius the Mede and the eunuch from Judah he falls for at first sight. Or something. Idk, ask anniflamma
Judith x unnamed maid - It does make sense, I swear. Probably unpopular because it's in the Deuterocanon, and also you have to be really looking for it -- but it is there, I promise!!!
St Paul - Just see 1 Corinthians 7
Don't take this too seriously lol, it's all in good fun :))
Feel free to add what you would have done differently / your own propaganda!

♥️Reveling in Richonne - TOWL
#19: The Bad B (1.03)
If the definition of an A was in the dictionary it would likely just define it as "Michonne Grimes." I genuinely think of all of team family Michonne is probably the one that would be hardest to conceal that she’s an A. Which is why I felt Richonne’s plan was a little doomed because when you’re a natural-born bad b… it's gonna make you a bad B. 😬
And it’s gonna make your husband forget he’s not really supposed to know you let alone be mesmerized by the sight of you.🤭...
So the baddest chick in the game has found herself in Rick’s similar position as a consignee killing walkers. Michonne waits for the walkers to arrive as that chipper woman on the PA says these assignments bring them one step closer to being Civic Republic citizens. I know Michonne is paying no mind to all that talk because she intends to be out of here in no time.
I love the throughline in this episode of Michonne speaking to Judith, her little Shoto, in the voiceovers. 🥰 Michonne is in this vast new territory, knowing no one but her husband and it really is like she finds some comfort in going through this with her daughter. Her kids are always on her mind. And it’s so sweet that as a mom she wants to tell Judith everything going on.
And again Rick and Michonne are so similar because during his consignee shifts, he was talking to Michonne and during her shift she’s talking to their daughter. Also Michonne really just does have “That Girl” presence as she waits for the walkers with the rest.
The voiceover starts with Michonne saying, “Shoto, it’s Daito. I found him. I found the Brave Man.” Considering she and Judith (and later we learn RJ too 🥹) were the ones most believing Rick was still alive it’s great hearing her tell Judith she really did find him.
She says, “He’s in a place I didn’t expect. A world I didn’t imagine. I know you have questions. I wish I could answer them. But there is so much I don’t know yet about the people here.” And part of why she still knows so little about this hidden city is because the one moment of alone time she's had with Rick in this place, he didn’t exactly give her the full 411 since making out was the top priority lol. 😋
But also I just love hearing Michonne as the mom who knows her inquisitive daughter is going to want answers and she wants to provide them to her as soon as she gets them.
She continues, “and how they were able to keep someone as strong as The Brave Man for so long.” I love that she says that. It again illustrates her belief in Rick and it’s something I think a lot of us were wondering when Rick left the main show and there was a 6-year time jump. What could have kept him away that long? So it makes sense Michonne would wonder that too since she knows how strong and resilient Rick is and also how devoted Rick is to his family - so if something kept him down this long it’s gotta be pretty formidable.
Michonne looks up at the wall and sees ‘Grimes 68’ written, indicating Rick holds the kill record. And I feel like with her taking that in there’s this element of knowing Rick is still that guy who can handle business but it also could almost make Michonne wonder how much roots has Rick laid here. Like wondering if he's more tied to this place than she knows, considering even their last name is on the wall.
(Side note: I like how it’s clearly been at least a year since Rick was a consignee but still no one has broken his record…yet. 😉)
gif cred: @perryabbott
Michonne then says, “He’s been trying to come home all this time.” I love that she believes that wholeheartedly. She knows that even tho Rick told her losing his hand was from one of the last times he tried to escape, he still always wanted to come home to her and to Judith.
Then I love the shot of Michonne just smiling a little and looking like this ain’t no thang as she prepares to kill the walkers. She says, “They stopped him again and again.” And then I love the way the music swells as she reassures her daughter, “But Shoto, they can’t stop us.” period. 👑 I love her belief in Richonne. She’s like baby girl, your mom and dad got this cuz we always do together. 😌 And it’s true, now that Michonne’s up in this place 'the last light of the world' doesn’t stand a chance.
Then they cut to Michonne and Cleo Clifton doing walker clean-up and this is where Michonne has got to try to be in her acting bag as Dana Bethune again. And similar to Rick, I can’t quite give my good sis Michonne an A letter grade for the Dana performance, but I’ll give her a B+ because she was doing her best lol.
And my B letter grade is the only thing 'B' about this scene because Michonne really can’t help but be an A all day every day.
Cleo notes Michonne’s natural ability to cut through the walkers quick and asks if she’s been out there awhile. Michonne tries to sound casual as she says, “Yeah. Were you?” Then Cleo introduces herself and Michonne introduces herself as Dana Bethune. I love that she chose an impactful Black woman educator and activist’s last name, Mary McLeod Bethune. 😊
Michonne has decided this Dana character is very smiley and wonderstruck by the Civic Republic stuff as she smiles and says, “Just taking it all in.” Cleo calls consignment “the doorstep of paradise” and Michonne asks, “You think it’s paradise for everyone?” Because she knows for her husband this place has been hell.
Cleo says she’s pretty sure it is since it’s an upgrade from how she was eating crickets and sleeping in a tree before this, to which I was like dang girl you were living like that this late into the apocalypse?
Then Cleo wants to know if Dana was given 3-day training or 6-day training, as they dole out days based on how much ‘steel’ they think one has.
Michonne tries to evade answering by saying, “Why don’t you guess and tell me later.” The way the CRM suspects Michonne is an A, she probably is the only one out there with 1-day training. 😂
gif cred: @nerd4music
Cleo shares her guess right away and confidently says, “Three” because she knows Michonne knows what she’s doing and can handle business.
Michonne, not the most subtly, tries to dead that narrative by saying Cleo doesn’t know that but Cleo is basically like girl, you straight up radiate competence. And does. She has since day one when she told Andrea she never stopped having it together.
One of the things TOWL did better than TWD is have more characters take note of Michonne being that girl. I’m here for it because characters not being instant admirers of Michonne...
Some super nasty-looking walkers weren’t fully killed and so it causes some complications. But not for long because bad b Dana takes care of it before the soldiers can even approach.
And my client is innocent because the soldiers said, “Consignees, clear” and Michonne just thought they meant Morgan Jones’ version of ‘clear’ so she proceeds to handle business all by her bad self. 😇
gif cred: @taiturner
See, those CRM soldiers should have been more specific lol. 🤷🏽♀️
But yeah because an A gon do what an A gon do, Michonne rips the head off a walker and saves Cleo by tossing the head with perfect aim to kill another walker. Again, TOWL really found the one thing Michonne can't do which is not be the baddest woman walking.
I mean we're talking about the woman who quickly clocked who the Governor really was and wasn't afraid to let him know she saw right through him. This is also the woman who rolled up to a prison and had both the Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon in her face demanding answers and she wasn't shrinking back at all.
Basically, being an A is just deeply embedded in her DNA.
And our girl really was trying her best to be a B before this, but the A in her couldn't help but pop out.
gif cred: @nerd4music
The soldiers say “Good work” and Cleo doubles down on being right about Michonne’s aura, as Michonne subtly looks like 'shoot this might have been the opposite of what my husband told me I should do.' 😬
All those challenges she's had to overcome over the years, and hiding that she's a bad b is one of the hardest challenges yet. 😅
gif cred: @nerd4music
Ok so then next we get such a great wordless Richonne moment. I love it so much. 😍
They cut to Rick masked in his helmet and CRM uniform as he walks up and then takes off the helmet looking all kinds of fine. 🔥 Like for some reason whenever Rick is under the most duress, his fineness somehow skyrockets. It's been a consistent thing since early TWD and I don’t understand it but it’s a prepossessing sight for sure. 👌🏽
gif cred: @nat111love
And Michonne is always a welcomed sight for Rick as he looks out and before they even cut to her you can see in the softening of Rick’s face that he’s spotted his wife. 🥰
gif cred: @riickgrimes
So then with their signature Richonne music playing, Michonne walks toward him and it seriously feels like it’s filmed like a bride walking to her groom to me. And Rick sure is looking at her like he’s looking at his beautiful bride too. 😊
gif cred: @andy-clutterbuck
I’ll always adore how Rick and Michonne are some of the world’s most lethal and yet their hearts become so warm and fuzzy everytime they look at each other.
I love the little shy glances Michonne sneaks at him as she approaches. And then her little smile. 😊
gif cred: @riickgrimes
She loves him so much, she thinks he’s fine, and she knows he’s completely taking her in right now. And she knows this because, unlike Michonne who's trying to be subtle during this cute passing moment...that man Rick is not making little sneaking glances.
No, Grimes, who is supposed to be playing the role of Man Who Is Not Madly In Love With The New Consignee, just straight up stares right at Michonne as she walks. Entranced since day one, y’all. Ain’t nothing changed. 🤭
gif cred: @nat111love
It’s so cute seeing Richonne have to pretend like this but still have a moment that’s so filled with love and desire.
It’s already gotta be so crazy for them that they’re even looking at each other at all. Like just reuniting is still so fresh. But even tho Rick and Michonne can’t greet each other how they’d want to right now (which would most definitely look like pouncing on each other with more kisses) they still just look like ‘there goes my baby.’🥰
When Michonne walks past him I always remember the first time I watched this scene I was thinking, 'If Rick didn’t have to pretend they were strangers right now he would most definitely turn around and look back to check her out.' And y’all, before I could even finish that thought…
gif cred: @riickgrimes
Rick does exactly that lol.🤭
I said now, sir 🙃. This is why Richonne needed to draft up a new gameplan because they're supposed to be undercover lovers rn and Rick's out here doing exactly what he'd do if he could just be in love out in the open. 😅 Lol that turn-around look was signature Rick Grimes. If there’s an opportunity to admire and check out his wife, baby he’s gonna take it. Even with all these CRM people around. 👌🏽
I’m surprised the show didn’t have a moment this ep where somebody picks up on the fact that Sergeant Major Grimes, who used to be completely checked out, now hangs around consignees and gives the new girl his full undivided attention. Like Rick, these people only know you as the quiet grump and now your eyes have all this light behind them. But it’s Michonne - there’s no choice but for Rick to look alive with her around. 😇
gif cred: @nat111love
And while it was frisky risky to do this publicly, I honestly love that he still turned around to watch her go anyway. They’re magnets, he can’t help it. 🧲 😇
Also, watching it back, I noticed he really lingers with the look too. Like Rick doesn’t just do a quick look back. He full on stands there a moment just watching her. Lol gotta love this whipped man's admiration for his wife anytime any place. 😋 And to me this pretty much confirms that both Rick and Michonne love each other's walk. 😏
This moment is also really sweet because it's almost like seeing Michonne gave Rick a brief sense of calm after all the triflingness with Jadis. Like it’s sweet how despite all the stress we saw him feel with Jadis’ threats and how anxious he is to now figure out how to protect Michonne, here he could still take a moment to just presently be calmed and captivated by the sight of his gorgeous wife. 🥰 Without a word being spoken, Richonne gave us another golden scene with this moment. 😌👌🏽

I've been reading, but didn't have time to sit down and do this, so you're getting a bit of a mess in this one, sorry about that!
I want to clarify, before starting, that if I ask questions to the void in these posts, or if I wonder very loudly about something, I'm not really looking for answers immediately nor am I doubting that things will be explained later, I promise I trust the process. If something's going to be explained, somewhere in the books, I'll get there eventually, I promise I will. You have probably noticed by now but, if you give me a hint, I'm gonna grab onto it for dear life, so better not give me anything at all. Just leave me here to die, I beg you.
previously, in harrowberry the ninth:
this happened
currently, chapters 17-19:
I'm gonna start by the end, actually
which maybe is fitting for this book
but I'll start by the end because I have a new theory and I feel this one in my bones
(pun intended)
I might be totally off but I'm gonna say it anyway because I'm excited about this one
so much so that you'll get no memes while I explain it
it's about G and P
yes, I know, I'm fixated with that, but hear me out
I think Lyctortus isn't actually called Ortus
I think his name is Gideon
let me explain
at the end of chapter 19 (I'll get there, but I need this off my chest, I really do) harrow asks mercygirl why ortus the first wants her dead
to which mercygirl distractedly answers "who?"
that's the last thing I read so far, but it got my wheels turning so fast I came running to write it down
I thought "wait, what if, just like ortus is replacing gideon in the gideon-less re-telling, the name is also a replacement?"
so I went to the character list and lyctortus's cavalier was called pyrrha
so what if they're G and P
Gideon and Pyrrha the Second
and what if the Gideon in the paper was this guy
so this is not a case of Ortus 1 and 2 but of Gideon 1 and 2
not!dulcinea told our gideon "you're very brave—a bit like another Gideon I used to know. But you're prettier in the eyes"
which is, all things considered, actually funny, because it's a reversal of what mercygirl was saying, that yandere twin and harrow aren't as pretty as their predecessors
I'm gonna risk looking like a fool later and calling this now because I really feel this one
again, let me clarify, I'm not asking you to tell me whether I'm right or wrong or anything at all, I'm just placing my bets with myself
and I know starting by the end isn't really the best way to go about a recap, but I think I'm on to something
MOVING BACK, to chapter 17
harrow starts looking into mercygirl for her new and probably not improved diary, because she knows less things now
augustine the saint of annoyance tells harrow that mercygirl and him are the oldest lyctors in the band and that it took generations for these space planet destroyers to assemble
emperor john silver tells harrow that his stupid nicknames that don't fit were meant to represent the cavaliers and not the necros
of course augustine's brother was patient, he had to put up with augustine
mercygirl is also a body expert
an anatomist, if you will
which will come in handy later/earlier (later in the reading order, earlier in the timeline order)
augustine says that he didn't bother learning that because the only use for it would be to kill lyctors
tbh it'd come in handy right now that I want to kill him, but I digress
here, harrow again mentions that ortus the first (also known as lyctortus, also known as allegedly gideon the first, also known as I'm super super sure of this you guys) wants her dead
CHAPTER 18
we're back on canaan house in the gideon-less version
these are the chapters I'm having the most fun with, which wasn't what I expected
I don't know why, I really like this whole re-written mystery thing
the slasher film vibes have doubled this time
I keep drawing parallels and enjoying my time with these old and new friends
and, talking about old and new friends, judith is dead
remember judith? remember how she died?
it wasn't like this
in this gideon-less version, instead of becoming besties with the sixth, harrow and ortus have become besties with the fifth
because 1) the fifth didn't die and 2) the fifth is in a polycule with ortus
with gideon there, they befriended the sixth because gideon saw camilla fight 5 seconds and was like "she's friend shaped :)"
so, the fifth and the ninth are taking care of judith's corpse
she was shot repeatedly with a carbine rifle
harrow says "it would have been like being set upon by a ghost out of time"
gonna put that in the 3d model
martita is outside and she's the only pseudo witness to this situation
the gideon-less version of the deaths so far is being handled like this
martita says to harrowbean "why am I here?"
she explains that they were doing the two door test thingy and, while she was in the other room, judith was shot
now, here's the thing
I thought the Sleeper that had been mentioned was the construct thing but no, it's not
it's a new thing
I'm picturing sorta this
it very well could be a person though
it's person shaped
huh
it's in a coffin where it sleeps unless it's woken up, but they don't know how it wakes up, because martita went to town kicking and punching the coffin after judith was obliterated and nothing happened
and what keeps it contained, snow white style, isn't plex glass, plex or glass
ortus proceeds to say a eulogy
martita says "Is this really how it happens?" like we've been hearing all this time
harrowbean tries to make her feel better by telling her that, at least judith died quickly
mmm...about that
martita says "No. That's not...Don't know why I thought...No."
martita doesn't know judith died slowly and painfully and wrong about everything btw, she died first, it memory serves
but still, savage
harrow regrets not telling ortus to take the pledge of silence and says "but only a very obedient idiot of a cavalier would have stuck to that"
she's your obedient idiot, though, harrow
so, the rundown is this:
the sleeper can move
the sleeper can pass necromantic wards
the sleeper shouldn't be waken
people don't know what wakes it
it has a rifle
the sleeper is lying on top of sword that's a two-hander
me, having breakfast while reading this
I didn't mention this but
harrow and abby say that judith was killed by a deadly shot and then was subsequently used for target practice and left like a colander without any reason for it
judith disrespected camilla, so
that's what you get, bitch
CHAPTER 19
we travel in time, but in the timeline of the emperor's bolthole
because WHY NOT, AT THIS POINT
we're keeping track anyway *picks back up the timeline I keep discarding and re-using*
this one is 10 months before the emperor johnny boy is ended, so this is before what we've been reading
we are told the following essential info:
harrow has written a letter for yandere twin in case of harrow's death that says: "Get what joy you can from my corpse, you devious bitch"
filed under potential resignation letter drafts
apparently a lyctor can live without food but not without water
so harrowcita is getting herself a sopita
and then lyctortus also known as I'm sure he's gideon the first stabs her
this tiny baby kitten with her sopita
man has no heart
no decency
no decorum
not his real name, according to me
mercygirl helps harrow with a lot of skill (those anatomy skills we talked about) but not much empathy
she tells alleged gideon who goes by ortus, when he says "I do things face-to-face" that "that is what got you into trouble nineteen years ago"
HELLO TIMELINE
nineteen years ago takes us back to the whole leader of the BOE going missing and gideon's mom drifting into space and the person sent with the eggs and all that
well, the eggs thing isn't directly related yet but I'm relating it
especially since there were lies involved and somebody sent to placate another somebody
DUDE CAN YOU IMAGINE
IF HE WAS INVOLVED WITH GIDEON'S MOM IN SOME WAY
AND OUR GIDEON IS NAMED AFTER THIS GIDEON????
LIKE ON PURPOSE????
HELLO?????????
AGAIN, NOBODY TELL ME, I'M ASKING AT THE VOID
YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE IMPULSE OF TELLING ME BUT DON'T DO IT
I'm making up telenovela theories about how this gideon could be involved into our gideon's mom business and our gideon being named after him
and gideon's superpowers of being hercules having something to do with all this
I need to stop before I say too much and then feel embarrassed at my theories
ALSO
gideon ortus wants harrow's sword
harrowbean doesn't want to give it to him
it is at this point when mercygirl says "who?" at harrow's question about "ortus", so we end how we begun, because today it's that kind of day
also, another day without her coming home
I may be late but boy do I have theories. And yeah, nobody tell me any spoilers, please. Let me make a fool of myself.

I’m so confused by the 9 months before and 10 months before chapters. Am I misunderstanding that in chapter one of HTN they’re on the Erebos and haven’t been to the Mithreaum yet and we haven’t met other lyctors but in 19 which is meant to be a whole month before that they’re AT the mithreaum and we DO know the other lyctors..
Am I missing something
i don't think you are! i'm inclined to believe it's a typo/mistake that got overlooked, but also given The Way These Books Are, i also wouldn't be entirely surprised if there was some Fuckery going on relating to that.
it wouldn't be the first time there was a numbering/timing typo - for example, the version of As Yet Unsent that Reactor (previously tor.com) put on their website has Judith stating that Camilla told her Gideon was "no older than seventeen" whereas in the paperback copies of htn it's "no older than eighteen." the paperback's eighteen matches what we know of Gideon's age, so i'm pretty content to say that one's an oopsie.
if the nine months/ten months thing isn't a typo, i don't think we have the full information to be able to make any sense of it yet anyway. i'm just living my life as if it's a mistake, but also occasionally shooting some suspicious glances at it.
#it's tamsyn's world we're just living in it#(also sorry there's another ask that's been sitting in my inbox for like a month but i want to make sure i respond coherently)#(which is hard when i am EMOTIONALLY COMPROMISED)#ask#anonymous#tlt#tlt thoughts#htn

Thoughts on Mia's blow-up at Michael in book 8
After a conversation with my friend, whose preference for being tagged here is uncertain, so I'll just keep her anonymous, but I have to give her major kudos!! (you know who you are ;)) I've just realized why Mia reacts so spastastic to the whole Judith Gershner situation.
But before diving into that, let me share my initial thoughts before coming to the realization and understanding of Mia's outburst: When I reached that part in the book, I couldn't comprehend why she reacted so strongly. I mean, I knew sex and losing her virginity was a big deal to her, but the thought never crossed my mind of the reverse. If Michael had had sex with anyone else. I mean, I honestly didn't think Michael had it in him, tbh. lol. (but then again, he's a hot nerd so who can blame him) Was I just as shocked as Mia? YES!!!! YES, I WAS!!! Also, I don't think Michael even handled it well. He was just so not sensitive in parts of their conversation. but then again, Mia was freaking out, and that, in turn, threw him off. (Also, he's what, 19?) Though, he did keep his cool for the most part .... till the very end where he lost his cool for a second. In fairness, Mia was going crazy.... with crazy eyes, as he pointed out. He was worried about her; he had never seen her so upset before. I think Michael *knew* this would happen, that THIS would upset Mia. That's why he didn't come right out and tell her. And like he said, it's not like Mia asked about it. I think if Mia asked, he would have been upfront with her. He's not a liar. How was Michael supposed to know that Mia treasured her "precious gift" of virginity? She never talked about it with him. I don't think they talked a whole lot about sex because she was uncomfortable with it, and Michael wasn't going to push her (only push the boundaries with his hands when they wandered in their makeout sessions.) Sure, they had their three-month "talk," religiously but that was more or less like... Mia:"I'm not ready" Michael: "Fine. We'll reconvene in three months." It's not like Helen goes around preaching abstinence. I get not wanting your daughter to have sex at 14 and telling her she should wait, but that isn't the same as what Mia was reading in Tina's books about purity, and you're only worth is your virginity crap. Like I think if Helen knew what Mia was reading she'd have a serious sit down heart-to-heart with her daughter and tell her she's worthy no matter what. Those books did so much damage to Mia!!!! I think when Michael was fooling around with Judith, he was upset that Mia liked Kenny, not him. He was upset at himself that he didn't make his move at the movies and ultimately upset that he fell for his little sister's best friend, a girl who should more or less be like a sister to him, but he's gone and fallen hard for her. I think he was at a very low point when he and Judith were studying. Did he make the first move? Did Judith? I honestly think Judith did since she had a boyfriend. Did Michael regret being with Judith after? Abso-fucking-lutely! Why else would he try and forget about it? "It was before you and I even started going out...." (I didn't want to think about how stupid I was for being so upset you didn't like me) "I didn't think- I mean, it was so long ago-" (yeah... I didn't think you liked me.... so I slept with her.... and now I'm trying to block it out of my memory, Mia) Another thing is, I think Michael honestly forgot as time went on... like in his mind, it was just a fact that he slept with Judith and thought at some point he had told Mia since Michael said with a straight face and no hesitation, "No, of course not. You know that" after Mia asked him, "are you not a virgin?" Then, when Mia was like, "NOOOOO, I DID NOT KNOW THAT!" He got VERY aware, VERY quickly, that they had NOT talked about his past because he knew she was jealous of that person and didn't want to upset her. I think if they were THAT serious about having sex in the past, I think Michael would have told her, but he knew she was never serious, so why bring it up if she didn't want to discuss it with him?
Anyway... I've always sided with Michael and Lilly on this one—why the heck did Mia explode the way she did?
Well, the discovery dawned on me that while Mia was struggling to process Michael's surprise news about him leaving for Japan for a year OR MORE, the discovery that he's not a virgin, a detail he's kept hidden from her throughout their relationship, triggered her beyond her capacity. I truly think it took her back to when the other people she trusted in the whole world (Her mom and dad) had betrayed her trust when they told her she was a princess. Not saying this is as shocking as her parents lying about her being a princess all her life, but she trusted Michael and he betrayed her trust by not telling her one of THE most important thing she cares about. This is why she said he lied (even though he didn't). Omitting the truth is the same thing to her. Anyway, let me know your thoughts if you disagree or agree or want to add anything else that I missed! Loved to hear everyone else's thoughts!

in way way too advanced anticipation for the nona paperback, i was recently prompted by some friends to wonder: what DO the different chapter icons really mean in the locked tomb books?
so im going to chart them out chapter by chapter in a way that makes me wonder if i should ask my therapist about an ADHD diagnosis again.
This will go chapter number, Icon, then my reasoning for why that icon might be there.
GIDEON THE NINTH:
1— jawless skull of the Ninth house. takes place on the ninth, gideon's introduction
2—Ninth house skull. also takes place on the ninth, harrow's introduction

12—Sixth house. Palamedes and Camilla help Gideon track down Harrow.
13—Ninth house. Gideon demands she and Harrow act like a real team

26—Seventh house. Dulcinea and Gideon talk, interrupted by Palamedes.
27—Sixth house. Palamedes and Harrow agree to an information exchange.

34—Third house. Ianthe ascends to Lyctorhood.
35—Sixth house. Palamedes 'splodes

Complete Masterlist of The League of Gentlemen (including live shows and radio show)
Hello! My emetophobia is very mild and doesn’t often extend to television, but I have a friend who wanted to watch TLOG with a more severe phobia, so I thought I’d compile this list for anyone else looking to get into their work! I will also probably do one for Psychoville and Inside No 9!
SEASON 1
S01 EPISODES 1-3- SAFE
S01 EPISODE 4- NOT SAFE [FULL VISUAL, AUDIO + MENTION]
[6:30-6:43] Chinnery is brought to a small tent to analyze ‘the beast of Royston Vasey’. The policeman (played by Steve Pemberton) lifts some foil off of the body, and Chinnery v* into his mask, then ducks behind the table. I’d recommend skipping the scene if you’re sensitive.
[24:25-24:32] Later, after Dave, Ollie and Phil have finished their performance, Dave says to ollie that he’s leaving legs akimbo. When Dave walks off stage, Ollie says ‘excuse me a moment, I think I’m gonna be s*’ and runs off stage.
He does not look nor sound ill so hopefully it shouldn’t be too triggering
S01 EPISODES 5-6- SAFE
SEASON 2
For the most part it is safe, the nosebleed epidemic *could* be triggering for some, however, so bear that in mind.
S02 EPISODE 1- SAFE
S02 EPISODE 2- SAFE*
Throughout this season Benjamin appears quite unwell when onscreen, but not at any point does he v*.
[14:50-14:57] However, during the Denton’s house rules song (an absolute banger by the way), when Benjamin is taken to the bathroom, he crawls along the floor to the toilet, and hovers his head over the top before he is shoved in by Harvey. He doesn’t make any gestures or expressions but I thought I’d put it here in case it’s triggering for some.
This is a silly detail but if you’re as a big a fan as me and you’ve bought the script book, on page 216 there is a deleted scene involving Benjamin that could be rather triggering.
[9:10-9:18] Pauline does spit a rather gratuitous amount of saliva onto a burger, just in case anyone finds that triggering.
S02 EPISODE 3- SAFE
S02 EPISODE 4- NOT SAFE [FULL AUDIO, VISUAL (?) + MENTION]
In the opening scene, Hillary takes Maurice into the woods, when they accost the two figures, Maurice sort of doubles over and coughs, no v* though!
[26:16-26:25] However, after Maurice’s wife mentions ‘compulsory health inspections’ he v*, you see him lean forward with audio, the scene then abruptly cuts to Pop pouring a bowl of macaroni onto his plate. This scene is a bit of a weird one in terms of visual because it’s a match cut, so be wary.
[19:28-19:43] Iris is speaking to Judee and mentions her daughter, Nicola, having bulimia – just something to be mindful of.
S02 EPISODE 5- SAFE*
[10:38-10:45] When the police invade Hillary’s home, they pull a blanket over a mound to reveal a cow, they g* slightly at the smell. It’s sounds more like coughing to me though!
S02 EPISODE 6- SAFE
S02 EPISODE 7 (CHRISTMAS SPECIAL)- SAFE*
[25:15-25:20] I believe this episode is mostly safe, however, when Lottie unveils a plate of German breakfast in front of Matthew, he groans squeamishly and sits back but does not v*.
SEASON 3
S03 EPISODE 1- SAFE*
[15:48-15:57] Carlton takes Gina to his home to stay overnight. As she’s walking along the hallway beside him, she gets a sudden pain in her head and tells him she feels n*, but does not v*.
Although, if you’re going to watch the deleted scenes, be wary of the scenes with Gina. In one of the takes, when she reaches the top of the stairs, she runs towards a drawer and v*s in it, full visual and audio. It explains why she is wiping her mouth in the scene following the one mentioned above.
S03 EPISODE 2- SAFE* [MENTION]
[12:53-13:38] Gatiss’s monologue in the mortuary does mention v* in relation to seeing bodies in a morgue, it might be slightly triggering.
S03 EPISODE 3- SAFE
S03 EPISODE 4- SAFE*
[21:03-21:07] When the bodies Alvin has hidden begin to squeak, Judith coughs slightly as a result of the smell, I wouldn’t call it a g* but better to be safe than sorry if you’re particularly sensitive!
S03 EPISODE 5-6 SAFE
SEASON 4 (2017 SPECIAL)
S04 EPISODE 1 SAFE
S04 EPISODE 2 SAFE*
[13:19-13:26] The Denton twins shove a frog into Benjamin’s mouth while Val holds it open, he g*s slightly as he tries to resist it.
S04E03 NOT SAFE [VISUAL, AUDIO]
[25:00-25:20] Not technically v* but has the potential to be very triggering. When Val exorcises Benjamin (possessed by Harvey), he flings the curtains open and flops onto the couch. He then proceeds to cough up a toad, the visual is just a mucus covered frog but the audio is quite visceral, so maybe skip this one.
Also, earlier in the episode, after Pop pays Ritchie a visit, he comes out looking rather uncomfortable and ill, but he doesn’t v* so don’t worry.
THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN’S APOCALYPSE (2005)- SAFE*
[22:15-22:42] Papa Lazarou begins to g* quite violently, and coughs up a matted ball of hair. It’s played for laughs but be wary if you’re triggered by stuff like that!
[45:40-45-50] Steve’s character spits a large amount of phlegm into a bowl, I found it to be not so much triggering but more gross, but then again, my phobia is very mild so watch at your own risk!
LIVE AT DRURY LANE (2001)- SAFE
THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN ARE BEHIND YOU (2006)- SAFE
THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN: LIVE AGAIN (2018)- NOT SAFE [FULL VISUAL, AUDIO]
(These timestamps are for just the Royston Vasey second part of the show, if you want to know the length with the tuxedo sketches included, just add the length of that show onto whatever timestamp you need!)
[34:23-34:48] I don’t know what it is with Steve and spitting but he seems to do it a lot. In this scene, Pauline spits into a cup for quite a while, again, it’s more gross than triggering personally but just be wary.
[50:52-51:40] Another Denton sketch. They do their typical ‘aquavita’ sketch, but towards the end, after Val comes up from behind the piano, Benjamin begins to g* and walks towards the lamp post. He then proceeds to v* onto Harvey. Both the visual and audio are quite unrealistic (it’s a v* rig so it looks more like a hose pipe with water, and the sound is just Reece sort of yelling) but the g*ing beforehand and the coughing after may be triggering, so be careful!
ON THE TOWN WITH THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN
This is quite obscure but just in case I’ll pop it here too!
EPISODE 1- SAFE
EPISODE 2- SAFE*
There is a flu going around Spent, which as a statement within its self might be slightly triggering, but I can assure you that it is more a cold sort of flu as opposed to a stomach bug. Both Judee and Benjamin contract it but as I said it’s more like a cold.
EPISODE 3- SAFE*
[20:36-20:40] Like the scene from S01E04, Dave tells Ollie that he is leaving Legz Akimbo, and Ollie freaks out. After he says ‘…for our gala performance of everybody out!’ he then asks Phil to fetch him a bucket because he thinks he’s going to be s*, then begs him to be quick. This is only slightly more triggering than the television adaption but I thought I’d mention it.
EPISODE 4- NOT SAFE [AUDIO]
Mike groans all throughout this scene so it’s easy to see it coming. It culminates at about [21:15-21:20], the sound itself isn’t *that* realistic but something to be wary of nonetheless.
EPISODE 5-6 SAFE
HIGHGATE HOUSE OF HORROR- NOT SAFE [VISUAL]
[18:56-19:07] If you’re going to watch the christmas special DVD extra Highgate House of Horror, just be mindful that at 18:56 Reece’s bursts a bag of blood that spouts onto his face, and in response he v*. I actually found the g*ing a little bit triggering but it might have been justt the stimuli from everything else going on in the scene. There is no audio, only music and visual.
And I think that’s it! Sorry if I’ve missed anything I tried to be as comprehensive as possible! Enjoy a safe watch :)

Towards the end of his life, the actor Adrian Schiller, who has died unexpectedly aged 60, found success and sudden fame in two blockbuster TV shows: The Last Kingdom (2018-22), on Netflix, in which he played the richest man in medieval Wessex, Aethelhelm; and ITV’s drama Victoria (2016-19), as Cornelius Penge, a footman in the royal household.
In both, a fleeting glance would suggest that here was a naturally authoritative actor, blessed with gravitas and style. This camouflaged the demonic comic spirit within, which had informed so many of his memorable stage performances since he first appeared in the German Expressionist Carl Sternheim’s 1911 play The Knickers at the Lyric, Hammersmith, in 1991. In a delicious comic performance, he played a weak-chested Wagner-loving barber thunderstruck by a flash of discarded lingerie as the Kaiser drove by, suggesting, said the Times critic, “a tousle-headed combination of Charlie Chaplin, Egon Schiele and Gollum, whose idea of romance is reading extracts from the Flying Dutchman”.
Schiller proceeded to leading roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the 1990s – his Porter in a disappointing 1996 Macbeth was the funniest I had ever seen, while his entertaining Touchstone in an awful 2000 designer knitwear production of As You Like It rescued another dud evening.
He was less prominent in some strange productions at the National – Peter Handke’s wordless The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other in 2008, as one of 27 actors playing 450 characters in a town square, coming and going with no interaction, and as a revolutionary tailor in a poor 2013 retread of Carl Zuckmayer’s 1931 Captain of Kopenick, in which Antony Sher did not eclipse memories of Paul Scofield in the NT’s 1971 production.
On the other hand, he was outstanding in Chekhov’s Three Sisters, superbly directed, and modernised, by Benedict Andrews at the Young Vic in 2012, playing Kulygin, a leather-jacketed schoolteacher tragically infatuated with his own disloyal wife; and he was a compelling, original, quietly spoken and sympathetic Shylock in The Merchant of Venice at the Wanamaker, the candle-lit indoor venue at Shakespeare’s Globe, in 2022. The Merchant rekindled the current noise around the play – is it antisemitic or about antisemitism?
In an interview with the Jewish Chronicle, Schiller tilted towards the second view. He averred that he was “a Jew, but not Jewish”.
Schiller was born in Oxford, the second of four children of Judith (nee Bennett), a teacher, and Klaus Schiller, a gastroenterologist whose family had emigrated from Austria to Britain in 1938. When Klaus was appointed a consultant at St Peter’s hospital, Chertsey, the Schillers moved to Surrey.
Adrian was educated at Kingston grammar school and Charterhouse, in Godalming, Surrey, where he pursued a busy life in stage productions. Instead of drama school, he took a good degree in philosophy (after switching from architecture) at University College London, although he always self-deprecatingly said that he majored in “plays and partying”.
His early television career encompassed series such as Prime Suspect, A Touch of Frost, Judge John Deed and much else, through to the first series of Endeavour in 2013. He also popped up in the Channel 4 series The Devil’s Whore (2008) set in the English civil war, and the Doctor Who story strand The Doctor’s Wife in 2011.
One of his most effective cameos on screen was as the barman in a striking government-sponsored advert in the anti-drink-driving campaign in 2007. He leaned deep into the camera with a series of non-equivocal questions to a bemused, unimpressed young glass-holding customer who may or may not have grasped the seriousness of the interrogation.
But he always returned to the theatre, seeking out the most demanding roles with companies who would accommodate him. He gave an almost ideal Cassius, wirily intellectual while bubbling passionately underneath, said Michael Billington, for David Farr’s 2005 RSC touring version of Julius Caesar. In the title role of Tartuffe at the Watermill, Newbury, in 2006, he was cool and venomous, as well as understated, and clearly the star of the show.
And for Stephen Unwin’s English Touring Theatre in 2007, he rebooted the remorseless villain, De Flores, in Middleton and Rowley’s Jacobean shocker, The Changeling. He was more than notable, too, opposite Sher’s Sigmund Freud, as a vividly hilarious Salvador Dalí, in their great encounter scene in Terry Johnson’s Hysteria at the Hampstead theatre, revived there in 2013, 20 years after its Royal Court premiere.
His feature film credits were not extensive, but in 2014 he was well cast as the sardonic high priest Caiaphas in Son of God, Christopher Spencer’s biblical epic. In Sarah Gavron’s Suffragette (2015), scripted by Abi Morgan, he was an imposing Lloyd George, coming round to the persuasion of the militant vote-seeking women led by Meryl Streep as Emmeline Pankhurst and Carey Mulligan as a fictional worker fuelled by the excitement of change and protest.
His last movie, yet to be released, is Red Sonja, in which he plays the king of Turan in a remake of the 1985 sword-and-sorcery Marvel Comics fantasy.
Back on stage in 2023, he returned to questions of Jewish identity and survival in three short new plays at the Soho theatre and a more substantial Holocaust drama, The White Factory by Dmitry Glukhovsky, at the sparky new Marylebone theatre (formerly the Steiner Hall), in which he was a powerful, wise presence in the story of a survivor of the Łódź ghetto in Poland, played by Mark Quartley, adapting to American life in the Brooklyn of the 60s.
At the time of his death, Schiller – who was also a skilled sculptor and guitarist – had just returned from Sydney and the triumphant international tour of The Lehman Trilogy, directed by Sam Mendes, and had been looking forward to the next leg of the tour in San Francisco.
He is survived by his partner, Milena Wlodkowska, a laboratory support technician, and their son, Gabriel, and by his sister, Ginny, and brothers, Nick and Ben.

5 and 20 for the artist ask game! Hope your day is good!
5. What piece of art are you still proud of to this day? (Show or describe)
Easy. This one. "Listen" 2010/03
It is 13 years old, I was 19 when I drew it. That was the year I moved out of my childhood home and moved into my first flat. A lot of struggles were had that year. I was so young. I had a different name. I was a different person. And this image takes me back to being so young and unsure of myself and the world around me. There is so much of me in this picture, so much emotions I felt at that time and while it is not the most elaborate piece compared to what I can do these days it was very complicated to pull off for past me. Get the lines in the background just right to keep the flow and emotion I felt. My fingers were stained with graphite by the end of getting the lines down and it took ages to line them. I have often contemplated on doing a redraw of this one but deep down I know, even if I could do better I will never reach that feeling and emotional beat that went into the original; so I don't. I simply cherish this one as is and when I look at it I feel peace and a sense of accomplishment because like I said. I was a different person back then. I was so, so young but this young person turned out okay. This young person grew and stood up again and again and handled itself better with each punch life threw and eventually became me. This piece is like an emotional time capsule to me. However I am working on another piece currently, and while it is a rendition of a Gustav Klimt artwork "Judith II" the emotions currently going in this one already tell me it shall be added to the roster of all time favourites. The stage it is at currently already pleases me deeply. I am playing a bit more loose with my interpretation as the key elements that I really wanted to hit with this rendition is especially the hands. The hands of the original artwork just do something for me the way she holds them the way the fingers are curled like claws. Also the way the body is bend. I really wanted these elements in there the most. Also it is a good piece to pull forth my love for detailed little elements that I often use in backgrounds and can throw here in the dress and all that.
The characters in both pieces are mine by the way. In the first, that is Eve, from one of my older stories that experiences a bit of a hibernation as my focus shifted to newer projects. I have around 20 stories to bounce back and forth between and a lot of characters populating those so like... can't do all at the same time. For now I told myself to focus on two, one of those is The Unicorn Paradox of course. The other is "Raptamei" a found family type of deal but with pirates and the lady in the Judith II rendition is Ila (green peacock), she is part of that story.
20. What motivates/inspires you artistically? (topics, emotions, etc)
A lot of things. Music, Movement, Nature, People, Emotions. It depends on my mood and time of day and what is going on in my life in general. But like... it can be out of left field stuff like me zoning out at a river and the light hitting the surface right and suddenly I have an idea. I once chilled out at the bottom of a lake because it is very chill and quiet down there and muted and green and blue and the sun dances on the surface of the water and you know what water is kinda a big thing for me in general to let my mind wander and get inspired. Sometimes my mind just cooks things up when the music is just right. I heard a song recently - instrumental - that essentially wrote an entire scene for The Unicorn Paradox that has not existed prior and changed the direction of the story a bit in a way I have not thought of by then because I had an intense film reel popping off in my head in time to the beat of drums, dramatic violins and I think trumpets? Idk.
And of course emotions are a big thing. If I am not feeling it it ain't happening. Can I draw pretty stuff just because? Sure. But I myself can always tell if I drew something with feeling or just because even years later after the fact. I approach things different too for artwork I do for others depending on either how I feel about the person I draw for or how their works make me feel, and I think it shows`. To me it does at least. And in general, all my stories are tied to specific emotions and those bleed into the lines and colours. If I may refer back to the Unicorn Paradox - that story is born from grief but also hope and healing and it could've been entirely original (kind of) for sure but it popped up on a whim when I drew a cowboy and a sad horsegirl and I was like... you know what yeah. Yeah. Because in a difficult time of my life I became active in the fandom and it brought me relief and a sense of peace during even my off-days and then it kinda became "nah it has to be tmnt actually. it could be original but also not. Not really"
So mh yeah, lot of things do inspire me, sometimes the most random things that only make sense in my head on how they tapped a button in my brain but the biggest thing is Emotions. Music too but that invokes an emotional response so we go back to Emotion mainly. Thank you for asking <3 My day has been fabulous. I hope you had a lovely day as well Wren <3 Feel booped.

Sing 1 Commentary and Review Pt. 3
Welcome back to the madness loves!!! Also, I tried to tone down the commentary so I get further in the movie this time. Is this an elaborate plan to distract me from my fic being with my beta reader? Yes! Am I using it for content? Also yes! Enjoy!
Yes, I am trying to restrain myself more this time, it's hard.
------------------------------------
Guys, guys, guys, here me out here... I think Barry minds.
Also, headcanon I'm not sure I ever mentioned on here before but the reason Barry minds Johnny taking his spot isn't jealousy of being passed over but because he didn't want his honorary nephew to have a larger role in the gang than he already did. He was trying to protect him.
HERE. This is the moment where Marcus confirms they were going to stop stealing after this last heist. They were legit only doing it out of necessity because the needed money.
(aka my debt theory is going strong bwahahaha)
Ok but the way Marcus looks at Stan and Barry when Johnny storms off, just his face of "that's weird right? or is it normal teenage angst? what's going on?" is so funny. He's so lost.
Also, I genuinely believe that Johnny might have been planning on telling his family about the singing here (he comes back much later but seems still really hyped up like he was getting the confidence to do so) but didn't when he was given the role of getaway driver. Even if it was just for one job, it clearly made him feel way less seen as a person and like he was a disappointment for not fitting into the mold of who he thinks his father wants him to be (the queer metaphor is still going hard I see, lovely).
👏 Relationship👏 Counseling👏
Engineer Rosita My Beloved!!!! <3
This woman definitely has at least two masters degrees in mechanical engineering because the machine she made is something out of Willy Wonka.
So... there either were intake forms where they all listed their talents and Johnny put down a skill he hadn't done since he was little or... Buster legit just asked this teenager to learn an skill that takes years upon years of training in like a month. For some weird reason, i'm leaning towards the latter and Johnny having experience is a coincidence.
Horrified Punk Rocker™️
I completely forgot that Meena wrote out what she was gonna say to Buster on her hand. I love that and I will be including it everywhere.
Also, unrelated, but Buster is on his second felony of the movie right now and we barely are passed the 30 minutes mark. Not to mention the numerous misdemeanors.
And, the workshop where they build their props in apparently on the second floor according to Buster. That seems like you're making more work for yourself with all the moving up and down but, you know, you do you.

He really does not think things through does he?

Dude, she's your girlfriend, for fucks sake, be supportive!!!! It's not rocket science over here!!!
Johnny making fun of his dad and exaggerating his accent will never not be funny to me. He's acting like a regular teenager, not a gang member, and it's both adorable and hysterical.
Judith has arrived!!! We love characters who are actually just trying to do their jobs here. Like imagine being the bank representative assigned to Buster freaking Moon. You'd be pissed off too.
... Gay. That's the only commentary I can add here. That's very gay.
Gunter, the chaos enabler, Rosita, the chaos handler, and Caspar, the chaos.
You just know as soon as Caspar got home he was begging him mom to let him hang out with the fun dance guy again.
Johnny's over here going through the nine stages of grief about his singing career.
Also, do we know why Johnny was called away this time? Because they weren't planning any heists in between the one we have already seen and the failed one to our knowledge. So, was he actually called back because of something to do with the garage? It would technically be a family business thing then after all.
Ash, I am so sorry. About everything you go through in this movie. So sorry. You get adopted by a crazy guy and an old rockstar by the end of the next movie if it's any comfort (probably not but worth a shot).
Also, their apartment is huge!!! How are they affording that when struggling to find and keep gigs???
Lance puntable moments counter: 27
I am once again reminded that the mob canonically exists here and Mike thought cheating them was a good idea?!?
Mike puntable moments counter: 23
The last moments those poor flowers had. RIP.
The dramatic music that appears whenever she does is honestly amazing. And I love how she just seems to despise Buster on principal here.
But the fact that Eddie's grandmother knows Buster? And a fair bit about his life? Eddie has definitely mentioned him and also Buster went to Eddie's graduation!! That's so sweet, you know he was one of those people who make huge posters of their loved ones faces and their degree.
This, my lovely gentlefolk and assorted cryptids, is what a bad idea looks like!
Ok, we have arrived to the failed heist. Now personally, I would have just pretended to be sick so that Buster would have let me go without worrying about the show. That way my role in the show would be safe while I would also be out of debt, win-win. However, that's clearly not what happened here.
I stand with the fact that this could have been easily avoided but I do not solely blame Johnny here. He's a kid. Kids make mistakes all the time. He just made a mistake. Was it a bigger mistake than a lot of people's? Yes, but it was still a mistake. He is not at fault here.
As for the gang, smart move on their part to immediately surrender. That way they lessened their sentence by not resisting arrest. Also, Marcus looks genuinely worried when he realises Johnny is not there, and I completely understand that. He has no idea where his son is and there's police everywhere, he's bound to be panicked.
Rosita is amazing. I love her, she's so sweet.
Ok, genuinely forgot about Gunter and Rosita's fight at the dress rehearsals.
Also, Mike puntable moments counter: 25
Ok, I feel like we missed a part of this conversation. We jump right to Marcus asking where Johnny was and looking pissed. I can almost guarantee that that conversation did not start like that. Marcus and Johnny are shown to be close, despite their communication issues. He's going to be upset, yes, but he's still gonna be worried about his kid. Marcus definitely asked if Johnny was ok or arrested or sick first.
Also, ouch. This scene hurts. The overall message of familiar rejection for you just trying to be yourself, of who you actually are is not good enough? It makes me sob every single time. This is just insanely painful.
(Yes, this is a central part of Johnny's story being queer coded and as someone who had a similar situation happen when I came out, I'm just saying it's very realistic).
Then the stealing bit afterwards being reference for pushing yourself into who others want you to be to feel love? And Johnny choosing even then it's better if he is his actual true self? Amazing, perfection, true cinema.
This is the emptiest grocery store I've ever seen in my entire life. Seriously. Is anyone other than these two there? I'm guessing a cashier but I don't see one.
Also this security dude is an amazing hype man, just cheering and blasting music.
Buster, stop encouraging kids to commit felonies. I know you're on three now but seriously man???
WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND GAVE THIS GREMLIN A BLOWTORCH?!?!?!?! ARE YOU TRYING TO DESTROY SOCIETY???? Also, Meena and Buster were renovating the theatre at the same time as Johnny was practicing with Mrs. Crawly. I completely forgot they were there at the same time?

wait, is that JOE HART? they kinda look a lot like LUKA SABBAT, don’t they? i heard the 21-year-old is known as the CHURCH OWL around mckinley. it seems like they auditioned to be in THE NEW DIRECTIONS which is so lame? people at campus have said they’re KINDHEARTED, but don’t be fooled since they’re also -DOGMATIC. rumor has it, you can find them at WRITING CLUB when they aren’t belting show tunes. their entire vibe revolves around A WORN OUT BIBLE, THE SCENT OF PATCHOULI, THE FEELING OF BARE FEET IN GRASS but no one pays attention to that here in ohio.
about joe
his full name is joseph izaiah hart.
joe's father is a bible salesman and supports a very large family on his sales skills. joseph is the oldest of seven children. his other siblings are paul (19), edith (17), judith (17), mark (14), solomon (10), benjamin (5). joseph was often in charge of caring for his siblings, which he did with great care and attention.
joe is studying theology and actually hopes to become a reverend at some point. he was raised in an evangelical household, but as he has been exploring the world and himself, it is actually the episcopal church that is attractive to him.
his minor is social work, which is what interests him and is what he would do if he weren't able to find a congregation to lead.
he is bisexual but is struggling quite a bit with that in combination with his faith.
he is very scared of losing his family, and he is actually quite sure he'd be alone in the world, save for maybe two of his siblings, if he ever came out. it is very clear in his family that homosexuality isn't accepted.
he often volunteers at the local episcopal church events as well as other charity work (animal shelter, homeless charity) and will invite anyone and everyone.
his guitar is named elijah.
he has always loved to sing but his family's quite closed-off nature has made it impossible for him to ever join any type of extracurricular activity before. he has been in writing class ever since he started, just to do something but this year he has decided to try his hand at singing and so, he chose to audition for the new directions. the diverse group attracted him, and he hoped to find a place there that would help him accept himself for who he is.

Here is my application! I'll be using @floofgryph to participate in this year's Tumblronpa.
Name: Joachim Ó hIfearnáin (real name), Morrígan (preferred name), Judith (name used amongst her gang)
Ultimate: Ultimate Gang Leader (fake), Ultimate Social Worker (real)
Birthday: October 13th
Age: 19
Personality: She possesses excellent interpersonal intelligence, a creative mind, an ambivert attitude, trust issues, and suicidal tendencies. She also possesses a charismatic, yet menacing presence and a rebellious, charitable, leisure-loving spirit. She tries her absolute best to treat people with fairness, strongly believing that everyone deserves equitable treatment. Joachim also tries to be fairly tolerant, but will act out when someone is unfairly mistreating another person or harming/threatening those she deeply cares about. She can be ruthless and aggressive, but that’s often targeted towards those she despises for a reason. She’s prudently watchful, street-smart, and persuasive, and she’s often considerably thoughtful about her words and actions around other people. She isn’t afraid to take on new challenges and potential risks, and she’s unflinching in the face of danger or difficulty. When it comes to new people, she’s timid and not very talkative at first, but she eventually shows more of her extrovertedness when she feels comfortable enough to do so. Despite being an ambivert, Joachim has more introverted tendencies, often spending her time alone, being reserved, and interacting with small groups of people.
Appearance: She has shoulder-length, curly golden copper brown hair that’s often tied into a ponytail and reddish-brown freckles on her face, neck, and chest. She has top scars and a healed slash across her face from the right side of her forehead to the middle of her cheek. She also has scars on her lower legs that she often tries to keep covered, pale ivory skin, greyish-blue eyes, and four black moles: one the right corner of her upper lip; one above her left eyebrow; one near her right wrist; and one on her left outer thigh. Joachim dons her father’s duck blue leather biker jacket with azure mist sheepskin outlining and hidden compartments. On the back, it depicts a white decapitated Gorgon’s head crying blood with hair of ten purplish, vermillion-eyed serpents and the Latin phrase “NATURA NON CONTRISTATUR” (nature is not saddened) above in shimmering gold. She has a barn red T-shirt, dirty brown, high-waisted jeans, and mid-calf black boots with bronze eyelets, teal blue laces, and silver spikes. She has silver snake bites, pink opal stud earrings, a left gold orbital conch earring, and a brass Celtic cross necklace. She also has an aquamarine hololith bracelet on her right, and her nails are often painted a yellow-orange.
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She honestly doesn’t care what people refer to her as in regards to pronouns, but she often goes for she/her and they/them.
Likes: Riding her motorcycle at night, creative writing, reading dark fantasy, psychological horror, adventure, and cyberpunk manga and novels, stargazing, nature, mythological and legendary monsters, exploring abandoned buildings, tattoos, stuffed animals, and going to the beach.
Dislikes: Predators, oppression, cold and wet weather, watching and reading romance and purely exploitative media, being yelled at, people who harm or threaten her loved ones and friends, sexist remarks directed at her, massive social gatherings, manipulation, and most of her childhood.
Any extra info: She’s part of a nerdy, yet fearsome delinquent gang called the Lackadaisical Holofernes and they partake in vandalism, dangerous driving, street fights, and drug dealing. She attended Hope’s Peak Academy in order to obtain a proper education, meet real friends who would appreciate her as a unique and creative person, and find a potential partner. Joachim is half-Irish and she’s very interested in philosophy, mythology, ancient history, astronomy, art, religion, and biology. She secretly carries around a switchblade, pepper spray, her grandfather’s Desert Eagle pistol, and a package of .50 Action Express. She doesn’t like to acknowledge her real Ultimate as much, so she often uses her fake Ultimate to mask it and it’s quite conceiving.
Character triggers: Excessive alcohol, her private parts being touched, discrimination in general, suicide, and stalking.
This Student Application is approved and is on the list.
