as per the people’s choice (scary ass albatrio pov outsider)

the albatross used to admittedly be the butt of the joke within pirate and navy circles alike. three nobodies only one with boring experience, the likely privileged daughter of the ferin family and a supposedly disowned triton. these jokes however became the quiet mutterings in bars or on boats, they now feared if they mentioned the name the trio would appear.

whilst some believe they were just rumours others had seen otherwise.

walking into battle they would be seen bickering and joking, making the switch all the more terrifying.

the ferin girl whose eyes turned hard and darkened, a pistol at her hip that seemed to be connected to her. they saw the way she would slash her way through men double her size, her orange hair slowly stained with blood. the laughter on her face melted away, suddenly cold and unbreaking, this was no girl this was a woman who had seen too much and whose life has been shattered too many times.

the triton, some expected his training but none expected his rage. his entire body thrumming with some power that any species knew to be scared of. the sword in his hand seemed just a another part of his body, a living thing that always struck true. gore collected on his coral but he never seemed to notice. they knew of his unwavering morals but watching him slice open another mans stomach made then question otherwise

finally the boy, he had claimed to be once part of the black rose crew and they had all laughed. but this, this was arlin through and through, the deft way he out stepped a sword or goaded on his enemy. they saw the way he carelessly wiped the blood soaking his hands on some rag before disappearing almost in front of their eyes, laughing as they stood confused. he smiled his way through carnage, blasting a magic no one even knew existed into any unfortunate soul. he gained no joy from the hurt he inflicted but the relief at seeing that final body drop was almost worse.

Thinking about how in like episode 11 Gillion mentions that if it reaches a certain temperature he goes into hibernation ⁉️

It was probably a throw-away comment at the start of the series but now I’m thinking of silly scenarios of chip & Jay not knowing why gillion’s not waking up and thinking he’s injured or something but drey knows bc of finn. I think he’d probably hibernate in his barrel but imagine this dude who gets up at like 4am to train just not leaving his barrel all day! I also read that when amphibians/fish go into hibernation their heart rate slows so like chip & Jay checking his pulse and his heart beating very faintly and they just think he’s like dying or something when he’s just a little sleepy

Because let me tell you, when listening to Jay's grandma talk on the shell about the Black Sea project, I was extremely confused why the fuck she mentioned her son.

"The machine is stable. My son is stable..."

I originally thought of Jayson. Made sense to me, the guy was really pissed the last time we saw him and I sometimes forget that Drey is also a Ferin, so stable in my mind was mental health wise. Then I was thinking about it, and realized her son's mental health had nothing to do with the project so why the fuck would she mention it in her log. AND THEN my brother (who recommended JRWI to me) that had the "oh shit it's probably Drey" moment and honestly, he's probably fucking right!

Drey, who has memory problems. Drey, who can't use his arms. Drey, WHO HAS BEEN THERE THE WHOLE TIME!

And with Dopple Gillion, we know that the clone has some of the memories of the other person and the somewhat the same abilities, so it makes sense that we wouldn't know Drey was a fake, if he is a fake.

I still kinda think it might be Jayson. The clones can be somewhat manipulated. If the real Jayson was dead/dying, it would make sense that his mom would just clone her son. The perfect soldier. I mean, the guy had been away from his family for a long time. If he came back weird, no one would notice.

Either which way, Jay's fucking grandma experimented on one of her son's. One of the Ferin boys aren't real.

Pistolwhip (jay/lizzie) - if you’re all the way caught up, you are HERE for the angst. That toxic, fucked up yuri. If you havent watched 101 yet, you think they girlboss. And honestly, you girlboss too.

Sharpshooter (jay/kira) - childhood friends to lovers FUCKS you up. You probably didnt have many close connections as a kid and yearn for the kind of love that can only come from knowing someone for years. You also really like the “lovers on opposite” sides trope, but maybe not quite to the “hero/villain” trope or enemies to lovers. Just tragic romeo and juliet types.

Clockwork rivals/ women in STEM (jay/ensa) - you’re probably a STEM major too to be honest. You’re hella chill, and i know that for a fact. You are also in love with ensa. You’re also probably a cat person.

Jay’s Harem - Jay is your favorite, you’re pissed that so many people over look her and you hate your dad. You’re probably a lesbian/sapphic. You think she deserves everything. You’re probably in either a very stable relationship, or chronically alone.

Swordfish (gillion/caspain) - i feel like you’re probably a fairly lonely person who seeks comfort in those with similar backgrounds/identities to yours. You just think theyre neat :3

Scarlet Captains (chip/jasmine drake) - BOY KISSER 🫵. No but in all seriousness you LOVE the flirting, the tension. You’d probably turn into a blubbering mess if someone flirted with you the was Jazz flirts with Chip. You’re down bad for Jazz, dont lie.

Chiptune (chip/queen) - queen is your favorite character, and you’re just a littol guy. You want to be wrapped in a fuzzy blanket always and have a sweet tooth like none other. You love fluff, and are probably obsessed with the character cinnamoroll

Fnfnc (gillion/caspian/chip) - you’ve been here for a while, havent you? I feel like this one was more popular in the earlierish days, so if this is still your favorite you’ve got some DEDICATION. You are loyal to a fault and you are not afraid to fight someone if they hurt one of your besties.

Sea sharp (gill/chip/queen) - you just like them being silly together :> you also probably want to be at the middle of a cuddle pile. You think highly of your friends and you’re probably on the quieter side.

Greater mana polycule (whatever that means to you is correct) - you’re autistic and when you were a kid, you had more stuffed animals than room on your bed because you felt bad leaving anyone out

Waning crescent/ frigatebird (lizzie/ ava) - oh so you like to cry. You like tragic yuri. You liked doomed timelines. You like MCD, you freak /pos. You fuck heavily with the “hero/villain” trope but ONLY when its messy and complicated and there are no heroes and villains and they love each other but they can never have each other and- yeah thats all i need to say. You know who you are. Also props to you is you shipped it before 101. There were like 4 of us, i fear

Rosewater (lizzie/caspian) - you are LOYAL. You know who your friends are and you will defend them until you DIE. Youre also a CHRONIC overthinker. You’re probably in a strange found family relationship with most of your friends and I’m willing to bet you’re ace. You love undying loyalty in relationships, and unconditional love through extremely tough times. You probably elect to ignore the “Caspian is a traitor theory”, and if you dont, you love it for the fucked up angst potential.

Cattlepunk (drey/ ichabod) - you are ride or fucking die for this ship. You scrounch up anything there is for this ship and if you’ve consumed it all, you make it yourself. You have a thing for cowboys and pray to grizzly every day that he beings jonah scott back.

Drearl (drey/earl) - oh you’re fucking OOOOLD. You’ve been in those fandoms since the days before they deleted fated. Also. If THIS is your favorite ship? What the fuck. But its almost definitely ironic, and for that? You are iconic.

Star crossed survivors (star/ zamia) - you’re adorable, probably a lesbian, and really like happy endings despite tragedy. You want to live in the woods with 4 cats, 2 horses and your soulmate. Your favorite barbie movie is/was Barbie and the Diamond Castle

FnC relationship over time from the perspective of outsiders

Jay Ferin

once they had crashed on the shore laughinlot, jay noticed the way chip almost immediately started joking around the triton (the same way a school boy would pull a girls pigtails). there was blush across his face she knew later he would staunchly deny and at least one threat on her life. when the two fell on top of each other in the mud their relationship was basically confirmed in her mind, she hadn’t seen a smile like that in a long time.

despite what the crew liked to think, he was not naive. he could see the shared looms between two of his captains, the way their hands brushed and the goofy smiles that would spread across his face. ever since he was welcome aboard ollie had learnt many things 1. do not question old man earl about ANYTHING 2. touching captain jays things is off limits and 3. whatever chip and gill have going on is none of his business.

drey ferin

he was fucking lucky he has been saved, by the great gods, but help him almighty those two boys would be the things that kill him. not only was chip insistent that there was nothing going on the gentle hand on the back of his neck and forehead kissed after battle seemed like something not even drey could avoid. he hated feeling useless, his body had betrayed him but seeing chip trip over a roll of forgotten rope when gillion happened to flex his muscles maybe made it with it.

there was a sign on relief on the ship when during a storm that should logically have pushed them all into shelter the two boys had “snuck” outside and under the pouring rain and thunder in the distance that they pulled their own heads out of their assess and met in the middle. lightning created silhouettes of the two finally kissing, ending with their foreheads pushed together even the gods saying “finally”
