A little mention because I talked a bit about it with R and now I'm still thinking about it haha:

Once Mid and Joshua are married, her official legal name will be Midadol Telamon-Rosfield.

She wants to keep Cid's surname because he's the one who adopted her and who basically saved her life and gave her the life she can have now, but she also wants to take Joshua's surname because he's man she loves, the one she has chosen to spend her life with. They are the two most important men in her life ❤

Miss Telamon won't be a thing anymore, though, because she's officially married. It's either Mrs. Telamon-Rosfield or Mrs. Rosfield.

She will also recognize herself if you call her Mrs. Rizzfield

Mid enjoys this so much. Teasing Joshua, and being teased by him. Maybe it doesn't help her productivity that much, but the truth is that she needs moments like this to be productive later. She worries so much about him these days, and about Clive and Jill, too. She can't only be serious; she would just get mad if she does.

"A short story ? By yours truly ? I'm not sure it'd be captivating. These are just notes for my blueprints, after all..." she teases with a shrug. She's almost done now. But she stops looking at her parchment once again as she hears Joshua approach. Well, she knew he would, but it's still quite satisfying to see him close again.

She offers him a smile, but it quickly fades. It's part of the game, though, of course. "Wounded ? What ? Me, hurting my poor Lord !?" she exclaims as she deposits her pen. She wraps her arms around Joshua's neck. "Let me heal you!" She gently presses her lips against his. Then she kisses the corner of his lips. His cheek. His jawline. His neck. And after that, she stands on her tiptoes to press her forehead against his. "Better now ? You're not wounded anymore ?"

Eyes crinkling at the corners, Joshua chuckles and leans against the doorframe, arms crossing over his chest. He observes Mid in her seemingly entertaining struggle between productivity and his irresistible charm... or should we say, his rizz?

"Hmm, point taken. An entire book might not be necessary, but perhaps a short story at the very least," he quips, clearly enjoying their banter and how her eyes roll in his direction— one of her many gestures he finds utterly adorable. That alone could have already shaken his resolve. His gaze follows her as she returns to her blueprints, focusing on her work, and of course, he does know better...

Know better that the same could be said about her effect on him.

As he takes a few steps closer, not quite closing the distance entirely but stopping just an arm's reach away, ready for those more 'efficient distractions'. "For My Lady, anything and everything," he declares, his voice a playful yet intimate caress. "Sink into despair? And on my watch?"

He leans in, his voice dropping to a whisper near her ear. "You leave me wounded..."

HONESTLY, if Clive had just a fraction of Joshua's confidence, he and Jill would've been married and expecting their second child by the five year time skip.

Gotta give it to my man J, tho. You miss every shot you don't take, I guess. Kinda ship it too, because of that scene. I love Joshua x Dion, but Joshua x Mid would be such a fun dynamic (sorry Jote).

Much like The Enterprise, you and Mid serve both Joshua and I a ship pioneering not only with mythril engines but towards the thrill of the unknown. As you already know, ever since I came back here on tumblr (after 8-9 years lol), following you and interacting with you have brought myself and my muse to things we've never known possible (or even imagine!). Seriously, if not for your Mid muse, and her ever endearing qualities that you always willingly serve to every single one of us here, I wouldn't have known a really great and dearest friend— YOU. And that is the greatest gift.

No words can express how both Joshua and I love you and Midadol. It is always such a pleasure and we are so damn lucky you grace us with your presence.

Mid can't help but laugh happily at Rylan's question. Well, he definitively doesn't understand what it means, and he can't see how funny this is, but to Mid, his question is both very funny and very adorable. Did he really hear them use that expression ? Maybe they should be sligthly more careful. Rylan has ears everywhere.

"No, no, his real, real last name is Rosfield, of course," she assures before a playful smile cross her lips. "But what you heard is Rizzfield. Not Ritzfield. It's like..." She hesitates a bit, laughing once more. "... it just means he has a lot of charisma. I love calling him my Lord Rizzfield sometimes. But it's just a joke! We love being silly sometimes!" Well, Joshua has a lot of charisma rizz for sure. Mid won't start talking to Rylan about her attraction for her lover, though. "Don't use that word randomly, okay ?"

Maybe Mid's not entirely crazy to miss Joshua this much when he leaves the Hideaway with Clive to take some missions and contracts. Sometimes, she's scared this is too much. But when she sees him react this way, exactly the way she does, it WARMS her heart so much. Their feelings for each other have the same dept. She truly didn't know it was possible for someone like her.

"An eternity, yes," she admits, letting a soft chuckle escape her mouth. She keeps her arms around him, refusing to let go. She knows he's truly there with her, back to her, but she just wants to enjoy the feelings of his arms around her, the comforting sound of his voice, his smell... It really feels like they have always been meant for this.

The way he brushes his lips against her hair sends Mid a welcome shiver down her spine, and she laughs a bit at her own reaction. "You... You already are my home, my refuge. And it means so much to me, to hear you say these things, too." She pauses a bit, just to press a quick kiss to his jawline before she hides her face against him again. "All our hardships brought us together... I love you."

The softness of her voice, a delicate melody in his ears. Her response equally mirroring his, tugged at his heart, an invisible string which weaved emotions that he cannot ignore.

"Every moment away from you felt like an eternity," he admitted, his voice reflecting the very depths of his feelings. Oh how he longed for hearing her melodic whisper, a sweet and soft serenade that danced in the air. As her tender lips pressed against his cheek, the surge of his affection radiated from the warmth. Her touch, her laughter, and the way she hid her face against his shoulder evoked a sense of comfort.

It was as if they were two puzzle pieces that finally fit together perfectly.

He brushed his lips against the golden locks of her hair, a gentle gesture that carried a promise with his own heart. "Mid, being here with you feels like coming home. I aspire to be your constant pillar of support, the refuge you can lean upon..." He knew what they have isn't just fleeting; but a flame that burns steadily.
