Unhappy For You

Watched the movie yesterday and here are my thoughts:

The movie and the storyline in general are 7/10. Nothing new and a typical love/heart break story. BUT JoshLia serves. Acting and visuals wise, they are giving. Did they make me cry? Of course! Ako pa ba? Baka iyakin lang talaga ako pero I felt the story. I don’t have the same experience because I know for myself that I cannot be casual with my ex. It is just JoshLia showcases “that” chemistry. They make you feel the love that they share and the pain that they suffered on that relationship. Sabi nga ng Tita ko, Juancho and Zy’s story tells what really happened to Joshua and Julia. I do not want to give spoilers but if I am a JoshLia fan, I would agree. It is like they are narrating what between them.

There is a bit of comedy also. Julia and Joshua is effortlessly funny and such a joy to watch.

People get tired. People have limits. People only have so much to offer and so much to give. There are also people who are really madly and crazily in love to the point that their way of thinking and decisions do not make sense and are just pure stupid.

And it is also true that sometimes, the best and most logical choice is to let go, even if you do not want to, even if never wanted to. Letting go doesn’t mean love vanished or given up. Sometimes, you just know that better is coming when you decide to go out of that situation or relationship.

Unhappy For You also tells us that there is always two sides of the story. One’s perspective is different than the other. There should not be a good guy bad guy in the relationship because both parties are mutually happy during the relationship and also mutually suffering during or after the relationship.

Communication, growth, support, and dreams should always be present and should always be mutually understood and committed. One cannot function alone to carry the relationship. It always takes two to tango.

For the technicalities, Star Cinema always produces beautifully shot scenes and angles. I guess Moira’s Paubaya is really JoshLia’s breakup theme song since it was released. The scoring made me cry. The writing is good also —- the movie is romantic but has comedy on the side.

Everyone can enjoy the movie and the chemistry of JoshLia. Tho I would say that this movie is best suited for couples who are young in love and just starting life together. They will learn a lot from this movie.

PAUBAYA-Music Video

This music video is a heart melting song because of the story behind it. Mararamdaman mo talaga yung sakit kahit na hindi mo siya naranasan. Sobrang effective nung song lalo na nung binigyan na ito ng buhay nina Julia Baretto at Joshua Garcia. You can actually feel the emotion of the two actors here, parang totoo yung iyak at yung pagbitaw ng mga linya kaya ganon nalang nagtrend ang kantang ito. And I also want to give all the credits to the singer Ms. Moira Dela Torre, without her there’s no such a heart melting song that we all hearing right now.

6 Things I realized after watching Paubaya M/V by Moira Dela Torre

OO.1 | Hindi nakakatuwang mag-biro ang tadhana. Masakit. Nakakapanlumo. Malungkot.

Masakit dahil kahit anong gawin mong iyak, mahirap kalabanin ang tadhana, hindi mo siya kayang salungatin. Nakakapanlumo dahil alam mong wala kang magagawa, hindi mo, o niya kasalanan na naubos na ang pag-ibig. Wala kang pwedeng sisihin na natapos na ang lahat. Nakakalungkot na wala kang pamimilian kundi pagtanggap o pagkamuhi, at madalas pareho lang sila ng binibigay na sakit.

OO.2 | Madalas taksil ang mga pangako, madali nila tayong madaya. Nakakagago. Nakakadismaya.

Mas magaling kasi mangako ang mga taong nagmamahal, at mas mabilis mapaniwala ang mga taong masaya na nakakatanggap ng pagmamahal. Totoong mass mabilis tayong ma-uto, at minsan pumapayag tayong magpa-uto. Hindi natin ito kasalanan. Dalawa lang madalas ang hantungan ng mga pangako: ang mapanindigan ang mga ito o ang mabitawan kasabay ng taong ginawan mo ng pangako. Kayang kaya tayong dalhin ng mga salita sa panandaliang pakiramdam ng saya, pero taksil ito dahil kaya rin tayo nitong wasakin kung gugustuhin niya.

OO.3 | Totoo ang pagmamahal na marunong magpatawad. Kuntento. Magaan. Masaya.

Isang beses tinanong ko ang sarili ko kung bakit kahit alam kong mapapagaan ng pagpapatawad ang pakiramdam ko, hirap pa rin akong gawin. Ang sagot lang na nakuha ko ay dahil siguro, sadyang hindi ito madaling ibigay. Minsan, kailangan natin ng panahon para magdesisyon at madalas kailangan natin ng mahabang oras para maging handa. Pero naisip kong ang totoong nagmamahal, bago pa man siya gawan ng kasalanan ng taong mahal niya, may parte sa puso niya na nagpatawad na agad. Natatagalan lang dahil ang nangangailangan na lang ng panahon ay ikaw, at kung handa ka na bang sabihing pinapatawad mo siya.

OO.4 | Hindi kailanman naging madali ang magpaubaya ng isang bagay na minsan nang naging sa'yo. Hindi rin madali maging matapang.

Kung nagawa mo nang magpaubaya, napaka tapang mo; at isa ka sa mga taong kinatatakutan ko. Hindi ibig-sabihin nito na ikaw ang sumuko, na ikaw ang naunang maubusan ng pag-ibig, o ikaw ang mas duwag dahil hindi mo piniling ipaglaban ang alam mong sa'yo. Nagpaubaya ka dahil tanggap mong hindi siya sa'yo magiging masaya, na hindi ka isang bagay na ginagamit lang na dahilan para sumaya. Dahil alam mong hindi ka nagkulang, binigay at kaya mo pang ibigay ang lahat. Dahil alam mong 'yon ang tamang gawin, at mas alam mong hindi ka nabubuhay nang mayroong kahati. Kung kaya mong gawin ito, alam mong nararapat sa'yo ang mundo ngunit hindi ito nararapat sa iyo.

OO.5 | Nauubos ang nagmamahal, pero hindi nauubos ang pagmamahal. Marami ka pang kaya ibigay.

May mga taong nauubos, pero walang taong nauubusan ng pag-ibig. Nauubos ang taong nagmamahal dahil iniisip niyang natatapos ito sa kung hanggang saan lang ang kaya niyang ibigay. Love's ability goes beyond that. Ang totoong nagmamahal ay natuto munang magmahal ng sarili. At kung totoong minamahal mo ang sarili mo, hinding hindi ka mauubusan ng pag-ibig.

OO.6 | Makakabangon ka ulit. Walang duda.

Hindi natatapos ang lahat sa natapos na pag-ibig. Kahit gaano pa kabigat, kahit gaano ka pa patayin ng sakit, makakabangon at makakabangon ka ulit. Sa paraang alam mo na dahil sinanay ka na ng panahon, sa pinili mong paraan ng pagkalimot, o sa kung paano mo man pinilit gamutin ang lungkot.

JoshLia’s New OPPO F9 in the Queen City of the South?

A billboard of the new OPPO F9 has just been revealed along Pres. Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City, still with the OPPO ambassadors, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto. The features of this new OPPO smartphone are almost similar than the current OPPO F7. The F9 still got a 25-megapixel front camera for great selfies, a 16-megapixel dual back camera for great photography insode and out. When it comes to storage capacity, the F9 will have its capacity of 128GB. For the battery capacity, the F9 would get a powerful 3,500 maH good for more than 1 1/2 to 2 days of battery life usage. 

As you have noticed, the new F9 will get the newest charging technology called VOOC. It will enable a 2-hour talk time and its fastest charging time interval in just five minutes. 

An additional F9 lineup would be also introduced and this is what we call the F9 Pro. Its additional features and specifications are more expandable than the regular ones, but for the battery capacity, it will be the same capacity as the current F7. No words yet for the OPPO Philippines if the F9 will bring the entry-level variant called the F9 Youth.

For the pricing, as to tentative, the new F9 ranges from PhP19,990-21,990 and for the top-of-the-line F9 Pro will be reaching a PhP25,000 range.
