I had a thought that after Poof and his parents had to leave Timmy, he became more withdrawn. He became more rebellious and cruel, which Foop really liked.
Poof took advantage of the fact that his parents were on vacation and therefore could not come to school if he did something bad. And soon he became so famous for his bad behavior that Jorgen found out about it and later took up his education.
Yeah, I think Peri wasn't the best in his teenage years and the way we see him now is very different from how he was before. He's redeemed now and he's afraid of screwing up again. Especially if it's magic related. It actually makes sense considering some cartoons have done something similar. Where certain characters who were cheerful as kids become the complete opposite of that with age (and usually these characters have loving parents). And I see that with Peri too considering his own (god) brother had to forget about him.
That would explain Peri and Irep’s "break." Peri was just tired of all this frivolity, telling Irep that he was "already grown up" and it was time for him to do so too.
With how the season finale went, specifically a bit of the rule bending of initial rules set up by the original series, I think that there's a good chance that Dev didn't get his memory wiped.
'Why do you think that?' I hear you wonder.
Because of Dev's sunglasses.
I know it's magic, but Jorgen specifically puts on a pair of sunglasses before he starts wiping memories.
And I know he does this same in the original series when he erases Crocker's memories in the 70s with the memory wipers.
Yes, I know is a reference to Men in Black, but in this case with FOPANW I think it is used to display a pattern/create a line of logic for the potential of Dev keeping his memories (because his vision was blocked from the flash) if there is going to be a second season (which I hope there is).
Another reason I think this is because of Dev's expression here:
Unlike his father he just looks surprised by what's happening rather than peaceful and blissfully ignorant like the townspeople and how they were back to what they were doing before they were told fairies exist, or confused/dazed like his father is in the instance immediately after Jorgen uses magic to wipe their memories.
So I think there's a good potential or at least breadcrumbs that we haven't seen the last of Dev and Peri's interactions.
Dev still remembers that he had Peri as his godparent!
When Jorgen was erasing everyone's memories, his wand was behaving like a Neuralyzer from the movie "Men In Black".
A neuralyzer is a device that wipes the memory of a target. The set length of memory erased can be changed using dials, and the effects can be reversed. In order for agents to not be harmed by the effects, they have "Ray-Ban" sunglasses, that deflect the light created by the neuralyzer.
Notice what both Jorgen and Dev are wearing when Jorgen uses his wand to wipe out memories about fairies and magic.
Dev still remembers! Now what does this mean if there is a season 2? Dev may help out Hazel and her friends behind the scenes when Hazels' wishes go wrong. He will probably learn how to do good without getting any recognition for his work. Maybe he can earn the trust of Peri again and regain him as his fairy.

Okay now, I'm wondering if Peri's baby wand was transformed into his current wand.
I mean I know that the current one is supposed to merely resemble it as a reference, but I kinda like the idea that Peri transformed it into the current one himself to reflect his growth and personality.
You know the idea of holding onto a childhood item because of its sentimental value?
I imagine Peri held onto it because it reminded him of his childhood and his time with Timmy; it was his way of keeping a piece of him with him.
Besides, if Jorgen can change his wand from a peace sign to a regular star-shaped wand for later:
Then I don't see why Peri could transform his wand too.
Maybe the regular wands we see are like the standard look, but fairies could alter/transform their wands as they please if they want to. (But most if not all, fairies choose the standard look).
Whenever you take away the fronts and learned behaviors that Timmy displays sometimes, do you ever notice that like Timmy attracts others fairly quickly?
Like when you take away his random bursts of snippiness and cold moments and you see him actually let loose and be himself he makes friends like it's nobody's business. Because Timmy isn't just kind, he's endearing as well.
Sure he's mischievous and sarcastic, but these traits add to him in a way that people can't help but still like him. Like Big Daddy, Wanda's dad. Dude's a mobster who only likes his daughters and doesn't really care for anything else. But he enjoys Timmy quite a bit. Or Mama Cosma who's a bit uppity and overbearing towards Cosmo, shows a soft spot to Timmy and showers him like he's her own grandson.
Or Jorgen who's incredibly serious, however when it comes to Timmy he's more lenient towards him. Even though he wants to tear his hair out half the time. Or the alien prince who immediately grew to adore Timmy and try to be his bestie. And then there's Jimmy from the crossover episodes, who's notorious for being iffy about making friends easily. Yet with Timmy, once their differences are aired out, Jimmy gets comfortable with him and even starts a friendship with him! And fucking Chip Skylark??????? He literally befriended a fucking celebrity??????
Like Timmy Turner is special in a way where he unknowingly befriends so many people without even trying and the ironic thing is because of his home life and the universe being hellbent against him, he has no real idea just how wonderful he really is. Just how many people actually adore and love him.
But Wanda and Cosmo see it. They've always have seen it and it's one of the many reasons they love him.
Timmy Turner is a good kid, and his heart is one of gold despite the world constantly trying to tarnish it with its bullshit. I think it's one of the reasons I love his kid myself.
I sure hope at the finale, Dev realizes Irep’s true intentions, comes to his senses and saves Hazel (and fairy world) and breaks down in her eyes crying saying how sorry he is. And because of what Dev almost did, Jorgen threatens to take Peri away and the only way to keep him is to test them
Because remember: Jorgen was going to test Dev and Peri in the “Lost in Fairy World” episode before Dev wished to go to Fairy World and NOT be tested.
